okay so my shit ass fucking uni offers two majors, political science (BOOO 👎) and journalism. it's important to note that political science and their students are heavily favoured by the dean, he goes out to parties with them etc etc etc. I'm a journalism student and they're making us take quite a lot of political science classes even though WE ARE NOT INTERESTED!! yes, being informed about politics is important for journalism, but not to that extent where we have to take 6-7 political classes per year?? one of them is called "ancient political philosophy"?! how does anyone, especially a journalist, benefit from that? anyways, in year 3 we were supposed to NOT have any political classes and we're supposed to choose if we want to major in TV, press, radio, new media or public relations. and these fuckers decided to completely cancel radio, THE MOST POPULAR choice among students because the professor retired and they failed to start looking for a new professor in time (because they don't care). they also shut down sports journalism and a few other popular classes. ALSO they didn't even TELL US, we found out when they posted the schedule for next year??????? we saw that there's just no radio and some other journalistic classes. and what did they do to compensate the lack of our journalistic classes? they're making us take even MORE political science classes!! out of 15 classes, 13 are political science!!!!!

so basically I started asking the dean some questions and he had no valid answers to them so a few of us sent the story to some news outlets and it's blowing up now. I doubt that there will be any changes for us this year, but at least we'll embarrass him and maybe make some changes for the younger generations.
