I will stand my ground that while Rauru and Sonia are the first king and queen of Hyrule, it's solely because the Hyrule kingdom has risen and fallen multiple times throughout its history. Just as any kingdom can rise and fall, Hyrule does too. Rauru and Sonia are the first king and queen of their iteration of Hyrule Kingdom, after what could've been millennia without a "kingdom" at all.

We are told in botw that we are so far ahead in the timeline that the previous heroes and their journeys have all but faded into myth and are largely now unknown. The only hero that is still known/talked about is the one from 10k years ago, and we still know close to nothing about them. And that wasn't even facing Ganon Ganon, that was just against the first iteration of calamity ganon. Which shows that Zelda travelled back in time even further to the time of the imprisoning war. And if it took 10k years for Ganon to recharge for botw's time, then I'm gonna assume it took 10k years to charge for the first calamity. Essentially Zelda went back 20.000 years, that's HOW FAR BACK their iteration of Hyrule was formed. So no wonder next to nothing is known of the previous heroes (sorry LU chain but Wild hasn't even heard of you all... he'd be so confused that there's MULTIPLE and not one of them is the one from 10k years ago).

Botw Link is a medieval knight so ofc he kills people. It's in his job description. He even canonically did kill a guy in front of Zelda totally unfazed. He might be babygirl, but he'd still put a sword through me If I looked at Zelda wrong and I'd thank him for it.

she’s happy to have helped the land she calls home all those years ago

she’s revered as a great ruler, and an even greater champion

Sidon knows his sister won’t be here forever

botw “headcanons” (aka system pseudomems lol)

- link feels detached from his fuzzy sparse memories of his life 100 years ago, and because of this changes his name and introduces himself as a traveler rather than the hylian champion

- link rescues and registers horses from bokoblins and retires them immediately, so that they can live out the rest of their life being spoiled by stablehands instead of used for fighting and hunting

- link and sidon are dating ofc (also they’re both abrosexual and have low sex drive overall)

- link is genderfluid and sometimes dresses up and travels to gerudo town just to feel the gender euphoria

- LINK LOVES HORSES

- link’s favorite food is just simmered fruit but he hasn’t met a food he dislikes

I woke up in the middle of the night with idea for a series of comics; basically the ending scene of BOTW, but Zelda reacts differently depending on which armour set Link is wearing. of course I had to start with the rubber set which is one of the funniest to me lmao

This whole debate about where Link lives is funny because:

1) there's nowhere else where it's implied that he lives (and he needs to live somewhere ??? Lol. Also, he can sleep in Zelda's bed, but not in any other NPC's bed)

2) it is canon that he's practically always with Zelda (so it isn't practical for him to live far away from her)

3) it is also canon that Zelda made that secret room to concentrate better when she works alone (why would she need an extra room if she lives alone?)

Edit to add: 4) she hid her gift for Link outside the house so he wouldn't find it until after their investigations (I'm citing the text from Zelda's diary). If he doesn't live in the Hateno house there would be no risk of him finding it and no need to hide it outside

I think Nintendo just made it ambiguous because they'd rather being killed than making a main character ship canon, lol

To add to my thoughts that Sonia and Raura are only the first queen and king of this iteration of Hyrule (since kingdoms rise and fall so Hyrule is no different), botw/totk is so far ahead that little to none is known about the previous heroes. The one that is most known is the one from 10k years ago, which is still hardly known about.

BUT we did see snippets here and there of previous heroes' eras. Like Zelda's speech, or the naming of certain areas. My little headcanon for this is that at some point (long before even Raura and Sonia become the first king and queen), something caused the three timelines crash together leaving behind a devastated and confused Hyrule. Like imagine the three timelines, which have long since become quite different from each other, suddenly being smashed together. It'd be why the land and places exist but not where they should've been based on previous eras. It'd be why nothing is really known about previous heroes outside of finding armour pieces in random places and the vague myth that there was a long history of heroes.

Link's family headcanons (Botw)

Link's family moved from Hateno to Castle Town.

Link takes after his mother much more than his father, to the point other knights would question how they were even related, because he practically looks nothing like his father.

His mother was very playful, spirited and kind and used to teach him to cook when he was small. She died of an illness before he was a teen.

Link's father was a kind man, but he was tough on him, wanting him to succeed as a knight, partly so Aryll, his sister, would be cared for. After Link pulled the sword, it strained their relationship, as he felt he had lost his son or was going to. He died in some kind of military operation or monster attack when Link was in his early teens.

The one in the picture with him and his sister was his uncle. His uncle was a blacksmith.

Aryll was around five years younger than him or so. She was a very hyperactive girl, and idolised the princess. She would bombard him with questions about her, and wanted to be a knight like her older brother some day. As such, she also looked up to Link's swordmaster (a female knight in AoC sidequests) when the knights would come through town. She either died in the calamity, or escaped, living out the rest of her days before Link awoke.

Dating the Zora Guard Captain - Bazz x reader

i freaking LOVE bazz!!!! he’s such an interesting character, and i wish there was more content surrounding him (or maybe i’m just not looking lolll)!! i hope you enjoy!! <3

(p.s.: i was freaking out bc i couldn’t find a gif of bazz, so i just randomly chose this one... and there he is!!)

(p.s.s.: it took me 2 weeks to realize that this is, in fact, not Bazz... but Tottika and Bazz look the exact same, so we're gonna pretend it's Bazz...)

as captain of the Zora Guard, Bazz is very much a protecter

he’s almost always on the clock, making sure no harm comes to the domain

like Sidon, he’s eager to help in any way he can

however, he’s much more calm and collected

he’s not much for pda

you may get a kiss on the hand or a small peck from him in public

he tries to be as professional as he can

but when you finally get some time alone...

he’s all over you

he wants to hear all about your day and the exciting things you’ve done

and your touch makes him feel so warm and cozy

he loves to take you to the places around the domain when he gets the chance

especially those spots that overlook the Akkala region (as many Zora’s don’t get to experience the wondrous plains because of the danger that still resides in Hyrule)

he brings flowers back to you after venturing out for work almost always

and you absolutely adore it

he’s extremely passionate about your relationship 

and if anyone hurts you, he has the entire Zora Guard on watch

you are his favorite person

and despite being a Hylian, Seggin, his father, is quite fond of you

Bazz would do anything and everything to keep you happy

he often tells you stories about how Link taught him swordsmanship and how much fun it was

he’ll teach you some basics if you’re new to swordplay

and it often ends with him telling you how wonderful you are

he loves how independent you are

because he knows you’re capable of taking care of yourself when he’s tied up with work

but he does wish he could spend more quality time with you

he’s such a softy on the inside

and he’s so grateful to have a person like you in his life

Finally “completed” one of the Link designs! I say “completed” because, you know me… I’ll most likely keep making changes. Especially those pants, my creativity flopped on that front.

Anyways here’s Champion, or BotW/TotK Link! There was a 3/4-year time gap from the events of the first game to its sequel, and I am fully convinced that Link is supposed to look at least slightly older in TotK, even though the game doesn’t really represent that? I tried to keep his design relatively simple and consistent between the two designs, where TotK is more of an “upgraded” version of BotW, rather than a redesign. He wears more or less the same basics but with upgraded gear!

But what if the reason Link is right-handed in Breath of the Wild is because there is an old superstition in Hyrule that boys who are left-handed will be chosen by the goddess - so out of fear for their safety, children are forced to use their right hands.

You know, I actually did make myself an upload schedule, but I already promised myself to finally post that Trigun comic Ive been pushing back on Sunday, but at the same time I gotta drop this or Imma not be able to concentrate on that paper I hafta write til Monday.

And, so, here we are, my Paya and Tauro headcanons post cos my brain went into overdrive again. These two just fit perfectly in that “Important enough characters to get some background info and feel for their personality, but literally leaves enough open to just dump thousands of hcs on them” category. So, yeah, after thinking and flashing them out in my mind a lot, and eventually thinking about their relationship, made me think up a looooot.
