While I do agree that our midfield needs to get better, I hate how Leon always take the blame for the fans. Of course he has needs to work on some things but he also isn’t on the team just for free. Not to mention I think Julian likes playing Leon higher than Kimmich.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that if (at least) two people say that they're married, then that means that they're married. No matter who it is, if they all agree that they are married, then they should immediately be legally recognized as "married."
I do not care about the "sanctity" of filing your taxes or w/etf.
Just let anyone claim anyone (of age, who consents, in their household) as a spouse. It literally does not matter. You should not care.
Make it so that both of them have to put each other down as "Spouse" so that consent is better enforced. I don't care. Just get rid of marriage as a legal process. This is stupid.

all Steven Universe discourse was so fuking stupid but the thing I'm mad abt right now is people complaining about the "filler" episodes that came inbetween. I get that after a long wait you really want an episode with more plot and progression, but it was really sad that people did not appreciate the slow pacing between arcs? If you were to binge everything now with the show being complete you wouldn't even notice the pacing that bothered people for some reason. God people really didn't give crewniverse the chance to spread it out

Why Regular Brake Fluid Testing Matters: A Maintenance Must
Regular brake fluid testing is a critical aspect of vehicle maintenance, often overlooked but essential for ensuring optimal brake system performance and safety on the road. Brake fluid plays a crucial role in transmitting the force applied to the brake pedal to the brake pads, thereby enabling effective braking. Over time, brake fluid can absorb moisture and contaminants, leading to a decrease in its effectiveness and potentially compromising brake performance.
By regularly testing the condition of brake fluid, vehicle owners can identify issues such as moisture contamination, degradation, or low fluid levels early on. This proactive approach allows for timely maintenance or fluid replacement, helping to prevent brake system failures, loss of braking power, and potentially hazardous driving situations. Moreover, routine brake fluid tester can also extend the lifespan of brake components and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs or replacements down the line.
In summary, regular brake fluid testing is not just a maintenance recommendation but a necessity for safe and reliable vehicle operation. By prioritising this aspect of maintenance, drivers can uphold the integrity of their brake systems, mitigate risks on the road, and ultimately ensure the safety of themselves and others.

Perez concerned by lack of pace and seeking solution for braking problem | 2023 Canadian Grand Prix
Sergio Perez admitted he is concerned over his pace in recent races after losing significant ground to his team mate in the championship. Max Verstappen scored his fourth consecutive win last weekend while Perez finished outside of the podium places for a third consecutive race. He now lags 69 points behind his team mate at the top of the standings. Last weekend he failed to make the cut for Q3 in a rain-hit qualifying session. He gained six places to finish sixth in the race, but was unable to make an impression on the Ferraris ahead of him and his pace was slower than Verstappen’s. Perez said his main area of difficulty is “basically on the braking” at the moment. He reported braking trouble in Australia where he suffered a poor final practice session then skidded into a gravel trap soon after qualifying started. “The ride hasn’t been great,” he explained. “Under braking was the biggest thing and it’s where we think we need to come on top of and make sure that we are able to figure out what’s happening and then come back stronger.” The team hasn’t yet traced the cause of the problem, according to Perez. “We did something with tyres, something with set-up, a few bits that I need to understand exactly,” he said. “Certainly we’re going to be working hard together with the team back home to make sure that we figure out what’s happening at the moment.” Perez failed to score in Monaco, where he crashed in qualifying, and came fourth in Spain after again failing to make the cut for Q3. However he insisted he won’t be dragged down by his run of poor races. “I think it’s something that mentally you have to be strong, and I’m strong. I know I will overcome this difficult period of basically two races – because in Monaco, yes I did a mistake and it was a bad weekend, but I think without that we had the pace. But it’s a little bit more concerning not having the pace.” “I really hope that we are able to get back to our form,” he added. it bothers me to bits and pieces when people DARE say kids have nothing to worry about because there’s nothing/no one relying on them
LIKE HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN THE FUTURE OF THINGS???
LITERALLY THE CONTINUATION OF SHIT
OF COURSE CHILDREN WONT PAY YOU ANY RESPECT WHEN YOU CAN BARELY ADDRESS THEM WITH THE SAME IMPORTANCE AND COMPASSION YOU’RE EXPECTING TO APPEAR OUT OF THEM LIKE A FAIRY GODMOTHER IS GOING TO POUF! IT IN THEM CAUSE YOU WILL IT
NO ! YOU. WANTED. THE. CHILDREN. YOU. ARE. RESPONSIBLE.
NOT ONLY FOR THEIR WELL-BEING BUT FOR THEIR UPBRINGING, AND THEY DONT OWE YOU SHIT FOR IT!!! THAT’S YOUR MORAL DUTY
this is all our ‘duty,’ collectively. we’ve come to a point—we’ve been stalling at a point, actually—where each one of us has come to realize there’s reparenting that needs to be done.
quite honestly that’s a much easier task when done with a community rather than alone. alone is when the same patterns repeat themselves to sustain cycles that have kept our nervous systems in comfortable windows of tolerance, as they should. the issue with that is when it exploits our own well-being for the comfort of others. that comfort is now only systemic and supporting only further harm and precarious emotional situations that expose us to danger.
#kids are the future#literally the only cliche truth#yet the mistreatment of children is the first sign of any societal downfall and if we look at the past couple of years#children are not being cared for well enough#not only has the pandemic affected the level of care children can receive but the level of care capable of being offered across continents#has decreased terrifyingly due to lack of ressources#ressources that are material as much as human#people barely have any energy to survive much less to unpack their trauma and raise their children#void of the same patterns and the ressources to get help in doing so when you realize you need help are SLIM#when children are the first point of attack as much directly as indirectly you#you drop everything and you tend to the issue#this is depressing#this has never been ok and to have the issue known and projected so internationally across all media platforms and not have anything be done#that’s scary#that’s concerning for how much we’re ready to allow and be destroyed before we decide enough is enough#i can see there’s a tendency to let the extreme condition come down to a smaller scale and i hope i don’t need to explain how ableist#and tragic that is because waiting on an ‘issue to take a much smaller scale’ means waiting for the most vulnerable to#to make space for ‘easier’ more product-value convenient solutions#well sorry not sorry you won’t have it#you’ve picked the most resilient and stubborn fuckers to fuck with if you think disabled and genetically vulnerable people will press brakes#there’s empowerment literally firing up through our bodies where every painful thing you hit us with it would have already hit us inside#and by our own nervous system so needless to say how desensitized one would be to threats of coveted#anihilation of vulnerable individuals with vulnerable conditions#anyways think ‘would i feel safe leaving my kid for the night with my government as sitter’ and if that answer is not an immediate yes then#please let that sink in know safety should not be a choice but a given

Look, friends.
Tumblr media
Do you think this is a post about my adorable baby succulents? No. Look harder.
Tumblr media
It's about the GIANT HOLE IN MY FENCE that I had to patch up with cardboard.
I can't blame Pampérigouste for this one; the brutish nature of the damage is not consistent with her usual modus operandi. Pampe outsmarts locks like Arsène Lupin; she doesn't charge at fences like a bull who saw a red cloth. This is Pampe Pondering A Fence Problem:
Tumblr media
No, the damage to my fence looked a lot more mindless this time. Boorish. Boar-ish. I'm blaming a boar. A deer would have destroyed the whole thing rather than just the lower half. Note that there is not a single tuft of llama wool on the damaged wire mesh.
(Note no.2: the boar's smile was originally meant to be a tusk but it really just looks like a sardonic smile)
Tumblr media
I brought some chicken wire to patch up the hole—but there wasn't enough of it. Then it started raining and I felt persecuted and decided to just cover the hole with cardboard and go have my morning coffee and get back to this later.
This is not an Innocent Pampe post; there is no such thing. My temporary cardboard solution lasted 8 to 10 minutes. I'm not sure exactly when she got out, but by the time I went back outside to repair the fence there was a Pampe-shaped hole in the cardboard.
(Not really; she just kind of lifted or ate a corner then wormed her way through the very small opening. I think.) (See, this is how you recognise a Pampe escape: you're not entirely clear on what went down, you just know there was a llama inside and now there is a llama outside.)
It was still raining and I didn't feel like going after her, plus it felt pointless to bring her back in her pasture before the fence was repaired, so I went in the barn to look for my tools and rummage through leftover pieces of previously-destroyed fences, hoping to find something the right size.
Then I heard Pampelune's hyena shriek, aka the llama alarm call. It was followed by:
horrified chicken screams and frantic feather noises; the soundtrack of a violent fox attack
infuriated barking from Pandolf
very loud panicked braying from Pirlouit
basically, chaos.
I ran outside just in time to see Pampe emerging from the woods at a full gallop, pursued by a bear. I didn't immediately identify the animal that was chasing her as the giant dog that he was, because he was running with a weird gait, with his legs going everywhere like he was frolicking at top speed (I now know that this dog is a puppy that has learnt to run just a few months ago, but that didn't occur to me at the time because this puppy is the size of a calf.)
Pampe was running towards the cardboard through which she had escaped and she managed to squeeze through her small corner hole again (I assume—there were trees blocking my line of sight and I only saw her again once she was in the pasture, running for her life along with the other 2 llamas + donkey.) Meanwhile, the dog didn't see the corner hole and tried to power through the cardboard much like a boar, or was carried away by his momentum and didn't brake in time; I don't know. In any case, when I reached him, he was stuck.
My large piece of cardboard was tied to the fence posts and still holding strong, but the middle was a bit soggy with rain and not too solid, so the dog's head went right through it. The rest of his body didn't.
He could have probably finished breaking the cardboard quite easily, but for some reason he instantly gave up. On life. By the time I got there the dog was half-in and half-out of the pasture and he looked defeated. Which made my piece of cardboard look like a mediaeval beheading apparatus with just a hole for the head.
Tumblr media
I went to lock an angry Pandolf in the barn and checked on the chickens along the way (ruffled & offended but fine); I was hoping the dog would figure out how to extricate his head from the cardboard in the meantime. He did not. I tried to call him in a friendly tone (from behind) to encourage him to free his head by stepping back, but the concept of taking a couple of steps backwards in order to extract his head from the hole might as well have been advanced engineering. He clearly had no idea where his head was, where his body was, how to make the two a coherent whole again, and he started whining pitifully.
I untied the rope I had used to attach the cardboard to the fence posts, then wriggled the piece of cardboard a bit to try and free the dog's head. The dog was alarmed by the wriggling and took several steps back—but I didn't manage to hold on to the cardboard so it just moved with the dog. He clumsily ran away, taking the cardboard with him, wearing it around his neck like the world's largest cone of shame.
He immediately got stuck between two trees.
I was starting to find the situation hilarious, but the poor dog did not—he lay down and started making sad broken noises like a malfunctioning dog-robot. He didn't look very threatening but he was still a very big (and stressed) dog so I felt a bit wary of touching his head to help him, and decided to run home to get a box cutter. I figured I could easily rid him of most of the cardboard and leave him with just a soggy cardboard collar that would soon fall apart. I heard my landline phone ringing from afar and ran faster, and it was one of my nearest neighbours, the retired lady who lives on the plateau.
"I've been trying to reach you!! I saw your llama in my garden earlier, I was going to give her a little treat—" (she loves Pampe, for some reason) "—but then my dog saw her too."
I know this woman's dog—he's a tiny thing with fragile nerves who thinks the whole world is out to get him, so I asked anxiously, "Did Pampe scare your dog?" and she said "Oh no! Domino is here with me; but I have a new dog. His name is Texas."
I thought of the gigantic puppy currently sobbing in my woods, held prisoner by two trees, a self-inflicted cone of shame and his total lack of reasoning skills.
"Yes", I said. "I've met Texas."
The old lady asked worriedly if he'd scared Pampe ("Il est un peu zinzin" she said—he's a bit crazy. "I wanted to call him Rex, but then I met him and thought—Texas!!") I told her I was pleased with her dog for scaring Pampe, because she needs to learn that her pasture is her only hope for safety in this cold uncaring world and as soon as she steps out of it she returns to her lowly status as a prey animal. Then I ended the phone call because I was worried both about Texas and about the large hole in my fence. Thankfully all my animals were still terrified and hiding far, far away from Texas.
Texas actually managed to free himself before I attempted to cut the cardboard, but he still thought of me as his saviour and was very happy to follow me through the woods back to his owner's place. Before we left I propped up the cardboard against the damaged fence, and despite the hole in the middle no llamas escaped in my absence; I think the whole area still smelled like Texas and fear.
I'll admit I was initially tempted to leave Texas with his head stuck in the cardboard in a more permanent capacity in order to patch the hole in my fence with this amazing anti-Pampe Cerberus. Like this
Tumblr media
(I know this artistic rendering makes my llamas look like frightened carrots and my donkey like a bunny but I will not be taking constructive criticism at this time)

« To mention the global loss of biodiversity, that is to say, the disappearance of life on our planet, as one of our problems, along with air pollution or ocean acidification, is absurd—like a doctor listing the death of his patient as one symptom among others.
The ecological catastrophe cannot be reduced to the climate crisis. We must think about the disappearance of life in a global way. About two-thirds of insects, wild mammals and trees disappeared in a few years, a few decades and a few millennia, respectively. This mass extinction is not mainly caused by rising temperatures, but by the devastation of natural habitats.
Suppose we managed to invent clean and unlimited energy. This technological feat would be feted by the vast majority of scientists, synonymous in their eyes with a drastic reduction in CO2 emissions. In my opinion, it would lead to an even worse disaster. I am deeply convinced that, given the current state of our appetites and values, this energy would be used to intensify our gigantic project of systemic destruction of planetary life. Isn't that what we've set out to do—replace forests with supermarket parking lots, turn the planet into a landfill? What if, to cap it all, energy was free?
[...C]limate change has emerged as our most important ecological battle [...] because it is one that can perpetuate the delusional idea that we are faced with an engineering problem, in need of technological solutions. At the heart of current political and economic thought lies the idea that an ideal world would be a world in which we could continue to live in the same way, with fewer negative externalities. This is insane on several levels. Firstly because it is impossible. We can't have infinite growth in a finite world. We won't. But also, and more importantly, it is not desirable. Even if it were sustainable, the reality we construct is hell. [...]
It is often said that our Western world is desacralised. In reality, our civilisation treats the technosphere with almost devout reverence. And that's worse. We perceive the totality of reality through the prism of a hegemonic science, convinced that it “says” the only truth.
The problem is that technology is based on a very strange principle, so deeply ingrained in us that it remains unexpressed: no brakes are acceptable, what can be done must be done. We don't even bother to seriously and collectively debate the advisability of such "advances". We are under a spell. And we are avoiding the essential question: is this world in the making, standardised and computed, overbuilt and predictable, stripped of stars and birds, desirable?
To confine science to the search for "solutions" so we can continue down the same path is to lack both imagination and ambition. Because the “problem” we face doesn't seem to me, at this point, to be understood. No hope is possible if we don't start by questioning our assumptions, our values, our appetites, our symbols... [...] Let's stop pretending that the numerous and diverse human societies that have populated this planet did not exist. Certainly, some of them have taken the wrong route. But ours is the first to forge ahead towards guaranteed failure. »
— Aurélien Barrau, particle physicist and philosopher, in an interview in Télérama about his book L'Hypothèse K

DP x DC: Ghost x Family
So, back on my cute romcom BS
So the premise. Dani, as Danny's speed grown clone, wasn't the most physically stable. Turns out, it's really hard to speed grow a clone, and even harder when ectoplasm is involved. There's not enough time for the structures to properly stabilize and that leaves the cellular structure pretty weak and prone to breaking down into goo. The ecto dejecto was just a temporary solution and other measures were needed
aka Dani had to essentially grow a body from scratch the old fashion way, so she's now physically her actual age minus a couple months
So Danny, at the age of 20, is the father of a 4 year old Dani and is trying to keep a low profile in Gotham. His and his daughter's existence is still illegal, and being the single father of a 4 year old ghost girl isn't exactly easy. Now Danny has to deal with the very real threat of CPS being called on him by a neighbor, and trying to get Dani into school without either of them having papers for their assumed identity of Danny and Dani Nightingale and money to by fake documents. He'd ask Tucker, but that requires braking radio silence and potentially putting a target on all three of their backs.
Danny, desperate, asks his neighbor Jason to pose as his significant other for a meeting. Jason agrees, but things escalated and frankly he's now emotionally invested and committing to the bit
So now he and Danny have legally been married for about 4 months according to the papers Babs made them. The fake ID, birth certificates, SSNs, and high school diploma for the Nightingales were simple enough for her to do, but man Jason is going to owe her a BIG favor for this.
They move in together, Dani goes to a good private school, Jason is effectively Danny's sugar daddy paying for a sizable chunk of all this, and they are committing to the loving married couple bit, which is hard to do when the new in-laws are detectives
The best part?
Danny has not figured out Jason is the Red Hood, and Jason doesn't know about the ghost stuff. The only one that does? Dani, and she is physically and mentally 4 and watching Jason and Danny fall in love
oh the shenanigans

I've been watching SPY x FAMILY and just need the fake relationship/family turns into a real relationship/found family dynamic. Jason is basically Loid, Danny is pretty much Yor, Dani fills the role of Anya, and uncle Dick is Yuri, except he's doting on Dani.
Dick is a smart man, but I love the headcanon that Jason is his emotional blindspot. Jason? MY Littlewing? He couldn't possibly.

Reminder that the Israeli government does not and never has wanted a two state solution.
Because I keep seeing the US and UK saying that this is the end goal, when it isn't.
On the 16th December 2023 Netanyahu said that he's glad he prevented the creation of a Palestinian state.
He said "You have been blaming me for almost 30 years for putting the brakes on the Oslo accords, and preventing the creation of a Palestinian state.
That is true.
I am proud that I prevented the establishment of a Palestinian state."
He says standing in occupied Palestine.
He and his government want the Palestinians to be wiped off the face of the earth and so they can take over all of Palestinian and make it Israel.
That's their plan, and it's been their plan since 1948.
