For the whole history of ORORO MUNROE, please click here.
← ONCE THERE WAS AN IDEA TO BRING TOGETHER →
Some wouldn’t be able to handle Ororo’s load, but she’s continued to carry herself with grace and poise. Whether it’s serving on the Quiet Council to help Krakoa or the Great Ring of Arakko to help the new nation, Ororo is everywhere. Although she’s been called a goddess before, she’s trying to avoid being called a Queen on Arakko. She’s been a Queen before and she doesn’t need to be a repeat performance. Instead, Ororo will be all that she needs to be. Her power is immense and her tact is enviable. If anyone can balance it all, it’s Ororo.
←  A GROUP OF REMARKABLE PEOPLE TO SEE IF THEY →
✗ JEAN GREY (616) has been Ororo’s best friend for a while now. The two are both Omega level mutants who have seen each other through thick and thin. Even though Jean’s with the X-Men and Ororo has been on Arakko, the two keep up. She knows that Jean Grey will always be in her corner and Ororo will do the same. Some people are just incredibly special in your life.
✗ ABIGAIL BRAND (616) is up to no good no matter what she says. She’s made herself known on Arakko and even started an X-Men for the nation; as a response, the Brotherhood of Arakko was formed. Ororo has always tried to see the best in people and act objectively, but she doesn’t trust Brand. Not with how she’s been acting as of late.
← COULD BECOME SOMETHING MORE  →
✗ BROTHERHOOD OF ARAKKO → Ororo is serving on multiple teams, including the Brotherhood. She may have her hand in numerous pots right now, but she’s doing her best. There’s just too many places she’s needed, and the Brotherhood also is home to Magneto. Many wouldn’t think that Ororo would work with him, but the two have aligned as of late. Arakko needs the Brotherhood, and Storm has promised to defend the new nation.
✗ OTHER AFFILIATIONS – quiet council of krakoa. krakoa. great ring of arakko. gods of wakanda. galactic council.
← & IF WE CAN’T SAVE THE WORLD, WE’LL AVENGE IT →
✗ AGE → 30′s ✗ MULTIVERSE ORIGIN → earth-616 ✗ SPECIES→ mutant ascended to godhood ✗ ETHNICITY→ african ( kenyan ) ✗ SECRET IDENTITY→ public ✗ RELATIONSHIP STATUS → divorced / open ✗ FACECLAIM → anna diop ✗ AVAILABILITY → taken

Did you peep what Storm said to Iceman in Marvel Voices X-Men? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And thoughts on X-Men Red?
Tumblr media
THIS WEEK'S STORM
😭 This sent me baaaaaad lmfao. This short story was so well written. The dialogue, the creativity in their powers' expression, the added layers to established lore, and message of acceptance? A must-read.
X-men Red? Whew, where do I start.
Rivalry
Tumblr media
Storm finally has an opponent on her level in terms of power, influence, and will. Genesis is truly a formidable opponent in so many ways. For example, X-men Red #14 starts off with Genesis reviving Arakko from an apparent slumber state, it's described as breathing life into them. This single act marked the start of the war. Awakening Arakko should be seen as an act of benevolence due to its life-giving nature, but it's the exact opposite. It was a signal to draw blood and that Arakkii glory is awaiting for those who do. It reinvigorated Arrakkii with thirst and zeal of icons and legends and of becoming one in this test of strength. These promises split Arakko.
Battle of Will and Ideals
Tumblr media
Storm's reign is described as the "Storm era." She lead, she listened, she learned, and even stepped aside. Instead of ruling through brute force and hierarchy, Storm's reign was defined by forging Brotherhood as equals and freedom. Free to disagree, free to prepare, free to explore, and free adjust to this new peace and make it their own. No prisons or violent repression at the whim of superiors. Yet war still came. Storm finally enters the field herself, and she showcases her power and easily takes out the opposing forces, destroying monuments honoring the sacrifice of Apocalypse and Genesis. This destructive use of her power ironically conveyed her ideals of peace and preserving life: the freedom of possibility, to be more than who you can destroy and who you reign supreme over. She can easily kill the fleeing Arakkii, but letting them retreat showcased the strength of her will and ideals even in war. This is Ororo's strength and her rallying call.
Final Reflections?
Tumblr media
Sunspot is black again, lol. The fans contacted the new artist after the last issue and the past artist's depiction of Roberto. He was made aware and is appreciative of the positive feedback.
Apocalypse is returning as shown on the cover of Immortal X-men.
Isca the Unbeaten resides in a neutral zone, which was rumored to be a sanctuary, and her power over victory makes it hers and indefensible for now...(her power makes allegiance impossible, even to land)
Then there's the looming threat of Orchis, who is the final boss after the civil war.
Future predictions for the war?
Tumblr media
There's going to be a lot of sacrifices that I don't think we're ready for. In a battle of strength, Storm and Genesis will destroy the planet just by battling out at full power, so this war will lean on strategy and demonstration of principals at crucial points. Just like we've seen with Storm. The real challenge is seeing how far Storm's Brotherhood and Genesis' Regime will go to end the war and what it will require.

excerpt from Al Ewing’s CBR interview:
S.W.O.R.D. was my favorite X-book, and X-Men Red is my new favorite! As much as I love the X-Men, I'm a bigger Nova fan. Will we still see Rich Rider in X-Men Red from time to time? Do you have any big plans for his future?
- Sam Paulo
Nova's part of the book at this point. What's coming up is what I originally considered bringing him in for, if that's not too cryptic. I thought the people of Arakko would get along great with a guy who fought, bled, and even died in various wars and is now burned out, in therapy, and no longer fits in with polite Earth society and the immediate acceptance of Rich by the average Arakkii would show a difference between who they are and who folks like Isca claimed they were. In terms of big plans, I am swamped right now, but if they said, "What's your Nova pitch," I'd have one.

X-Men: RED #6/A.X.E. Judgment Day #4
Massive spoilers under the cut.
This rant is pretty much going to just be a tribute to Magneto, so heads up.
So in today's issue of X-Men: RED, which Ewing is killing with this whole series, we get the aftermath of Uranos' attack on Arakko, and Magneto taking charge of what remained of the Great Ring (in his immediate area - being Lodus and what once was named Xilo) as is his duty as the Seat of Loss on the Great Ring.
Because they lost.
They had their asses handed to them by Uranos, who single-handedly took out the entirety of the Great Ring (and some other heavy hitters, namely Legion and Cable) in sixteen minutes. Even after he left, his war machines continued their assault on the planet, with Isca still fighting against them, meaning they're still actively losing.
But like I said before, you can't keep a bad bitch down, with Magneto rising to the occasion and keeping himself moving, even with his heart ripped from his chest.
Although it's obviously exacting a heavy toll on him, as he can barely stand for most of the issue. But, in true Magneto faction, he continues to fight anyway, because that's who he is and that's what he does.
Tumblr media
But I also just love how, with his last few hours, he's helping to change Arakko, hopefully for the better, by getting them to embrace the idea of teamwork rather than having everyone go it alone every step of the way. Him and Lodus working together was a great mutant circuit, surpassed only by Magneto and Storm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hell, he even takes the time to fall right back into his old Headmaster position and educate Berto in the midst of this world-ending battle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But, by far, my favorite implication from Ewing's latest issue was the image of the remnants of the Great Ring standing there together in typical team pose formation, showing that Magneto's (and now Storm's) plans for a true Brotherhood are going to live on with these new people on this Broken Land.
Tumblr media
I said before in another post earlier today that, if Magneto is well and truly dead this time, I'd be okay with it. Completely devastated, of course, but I'd be okay with it. This is a character that has spent his entire publication history, and his entire life within the comics, fighting for the betterment of his fellow mutants, regardless of whether or not they were on "his side" or not.
He bled and he sacrificed and he suffered and yet, he persevered, continuing to fight so that others, one day (hopefully), won't have to.
This character could not (and should not) have gone out in any other fashion. Dying peacefully in his sleep of old age would have done a disservice to the history and legacy of this character. Him going out fighting was the ONLY path available.
Side Note: I wouldn't put it past Xavier and others on the Quiet Council to have a backup of Magneto somewhere, despite him wishing for that to not be the case anymore. But we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Let's pour one out for a real one.
Tumblr media
And also take a moment to heed the Progenitor's final words regarding Magneto when he came to judge him.

This weeks thoughts:
Uncanny avengers:
I thought this was bad lol. Idk maybe other people are less jaded about this storyline than I am and have more patience for it but I was just "meh" from the beginning*
Hey maybe this time duggan will actually do something with fenris and not just pointlessly set them up with no pay off (sorry but he's bad at his job it's my duty to make fun of him)
Monet is the baby of this team by a wide margin, watch them forget that
Watch them forget that she can fly. They already seem to
Similarly, like, yeah Penance would lose a fight to "Captain krakoa", but Monet absolutely wouldn't. The fact that she is more powerful untransformed seems to have been forgotten. Still mad at Hickman's legacy here.
* I think the thing that's getting to me is that sins of Sinister and judgement day were both gillian led events. And I cared about the latter not so much the former. But in both cases the core books where written by someone competent. That's not the case here.
X-men red:
I hope the sambertos are enjoying themselves
Overall, positives from me.
Voices x-men:
This I liked.
Everything on arakko was fun. The banter between Bobby and storm felt on point. Indulgent maybe but still fun.
Brotherhood is a lgbtq sanctuary confirmed.
Tumblr media
Also the gen x pics because my babies:
Tumblr media
Dark xmen:
This was funny, hope it keeps up that energy
Liked that they remembered that little detail with azazel and the st croix lot
Happy to see phantazia
And both lady masterminds! That's funny to me idc
Leaving Warren behind was also funny I don't make the rules.
Overall, I'm liking a lot of the stuff that's on the periphery, but not the main stuff of this fall of X event. Also I get that it's hypocritical to have so much optimism and positivity for everything but duggans work but I can't explain it. Even when he's not being actively bad yet, his vibes are off. And he's holding my girl captive so I have to read his stupid book and I resent that.

Spoilers for X-Men Red #5 and Immortal X-Men #5
Red #5
- this issue is so packed with deliciousness
- we finally get to see all the Great Ring in action (even though they got stomped)
- I still find it extremely unclever for Uranos to just be 'immune' to reality warping? Like tf how did he just ignore Ora Serrata's erasing stare?? She erases gods for breakfast for god sake. And how did he even manage to defeat Legion who can manipulate reality and manifest other powers at will??? Legion of X #6 better be giving answers.
- RIP Idyll, you deserved better (mutilated by Tarn, beheaded by Isca, just generally unappreciated lol)
- Also wtf Isca you bitch. But I saw that one coming a mile away. I wonder if on top of making her go to the winning side, her power also indirectly influenced her to not be near Uranos? Like she got teleported away by Nightcrawler because she switched sides and killed Idyll, so I think it also saved her from being killed by Uranos (not that she can die from that I don't think)
- Sobunar and Lactuca defending Arakko is so epic. Idk how Isca can survive against a literal ocean of monsters but oh well. I wonder if they're both alive. I hope so, but there's still a chance Uranos teleported away and finished them off in the 40 min that he has leftleft (also the fact that he bodied 4 Great Ring Members + Cable + Brand 💀)
- So it's confirmed by the end of the chapter that Table Dusk is intact although severely wounded (idk how Ora is gonna function after being gouged and idk how long Xilo will take to replenish his insects but they're both not looking good. Lodus Logos on the other hand seems way better than the rest). Table Day is still in question though I'm presuming that they're all alive since Sobunar and Lactuca aren't shown dead and Storm is on Earth. The only casualty is really Table Dawn. They lost Isca and Idyll.
- Magneto is so badass. I knew he didn't die when Judgement Day #1 came out. Twitter people all calling Gillen anti Semitic and stuff are just overreactive attention seekers who reads too much between the lines. Magneto is literally to angry to die. Even without a heart he's using his magnetism to control the blood in his body to keep flowing. That is so fucking hot. He's the real Omega Silver Daddy 🥵.
- "Such strategies are not the business of Table Dusk. This is war. A war we are losing. And so the Seat of Loss takes command" God damn I'm scared and turned on.
- a bunch of other things that caught my attention: Khora finally joined the Brotherhood?; Fisher King is definitely one of the 3 Night Seats; I find it hilarious that Brand tried to avoid Resurrection but died anyway lol that's what you get you double faced bitch.
Immortal #5
- Exodus is gay (or at least into men)???? I live for it. I hope this gets explored more.
- Winter Seat is indeed the Rainbow Gang. They're the seats of murderous gays. I Stan!
- Exodus was drawn really attractively in the panels of this issue. Idk what about him that just seems like a romantic soft lover boy from some angles.
- Exodus and his protectiveness and adoration towards Hope is sooo comedic. They make the best duo lol.
- I love how this issue showcases how powerful the telepaths are in the Quiet Council. Charles singlehandedly defended 12 people from the Uni Mind of the Eternals while Exodus, Emma, and Hope just sheared through their psychic defenses.
- also Exodus just bodying 2 Hex Eternals like they're nothing is just 👌👌

For the whole history of MAX EISENHARDT / ERIK LEHNSHERR, please click here.
← ONCE THERE WAS AN IDEA TO BRING TOGETHER →
Although he’s been known as the big bad Magneto, Max is different than he once was. Returning to his birth name and shedding the alias of Erik, he’s moved from Krakoa to help Arakko out on a larger level. He hasn’t forsaken Krakoa, of course, but he sees untapped potential in Arakko that needs to be mined and cultivated. This new side of Max is one that he is still exploring, but he must keep his guard up even if he’s softer in some ways than he was before. There have been times when Max has had no choice but to be Magneto and all he represents. Now, he moves into a new era where he can be more than he had to be before.
←  A GROUP OF REMARKABLE PEOPLE TO SEE IF THEY →
✗ CHARLES XAVIER (616) is Max’s old friend. The two have often been at odds with one another; despite this, however, there’s also a strong respect for one another. Working together to form Krakoa with Moira was a long time coming, and now that Moira’s gone off the deep end it’s just Max and Charles doing their best. They’ve separated in some ways once more: Charles remains on the Quiet Council while Max serves on Arakko’s equivalent, the Great Ring. Despite all this, Max cares greatly for Charles and always will.
✗ LORNA DANE (616) turned out to be Max’s only living biological child. It hasn’t always been easy for the two, but they’ve settled into a good rhythm as of late. Lorna has made a fine name for herself as an X-Men and citizen of Krakoa, and Max is proud of her. He may be hard on her from time to time, but he hopes she knows he loves her. At the very least, they have nice weekly meet-ups for tea and chess. Lorna is a living representation of the Monarchy of M, and that’s an honor he hopes she realizes.
✗ WANDA MAXIMOFF (616) may not be Max’s biological daughter after all, but he loves her all the same. The two have decided to remain as family and Wanda has gone to great lengths to redeem herself of her sins against mutants. There was a time when his anger for her was all-encompassing, but Wanda is not evil at her core. She has been misguided at times, and that’s something Max can relate to. They truly are very similar in some big ways, and he’s incredibly proud of her recent accomplishments.
← COULD BECOME SOMETHING MORE  →
✗ BROTHERHOOD OF ARAKKO → They’re not the same as the Brotherhood of Mutants. They were created to combat Abigail Brand’s X-Men of Mars -- also known as X-Men: Red -- and with the likes of Magneto and Storm on the roster, they’re a powerful team. Max didn’t see himself with a Brotherhood again, but he also didn’t imagine he’d focus more on Arakko than Krakoa. Even at his old age, he still finds things that surprise him.
