❤ The two of you were often separated during school. Just in terms of space within the classroom and during trips - always on opposite sides of the room, always sitting far from each other on public transportation. This is mostly because of Peko, who does not enjoy when you get near him, and you're never in the mood to press her about it. If they want distance from you, then that's fine. When the two of you originally met, and you told him you were a bounty hunter, he let out a "good grief" before he introduced himself.

You rap at his window, looking into it, the cold glass against your padded knuckles. Even in the dark you can see his horizontal figure suddenly raise with such a hurry you'd expect the house to be on fire. He stops before the window, not opening it, glaring down at you. You give him a small wave.

When he finally opens it he whisper-yells before you have the chance to say hello.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

His first question was going to be how do you know where I live - but that question had an obvious answer.

You roll your eyes. "I wanted to see you. Plus, everyone in your house is asleep," you say. "Even Peko."

"Hmph." He stays still, planted in front of the window, and even though his face is one of anger he still doesn't try to get you to leave when you climb in. He lets you step into his room. Your body is close to him before he steps back, letting you walk deeper in, and he closes the window. "Bastard."

❤ He doesn't exactly let you get close to his family nor his house or workspace. He doesn't need them to know who you are or what you do.

❤ He often gets a bit scared that the people who work for him would consider him a traitor for being with you.

❤ It aggravates him - having to hide you like that. Even though he always intended for his work and his relationships to be separate, they always end up being interconnected, always ends up being hard for him to keep that balance.

❤ He loves you so fucking much it drives him crazy. Almost like a Romeo and Juliet in his head - even though your job isn't too far away from his.

❤ He likes keeping you near him where he is sure that you're safe. Even though you are quite literally perfectly capable of defending yourself - he holds a lot of worry in his heart.

❤ ^ Whenever you're off away on a job in another country he calls and texts you thoughts that remind him of you (and he thinks about you a lot).

Ryoma Hoshi

❤ He originally thought you were after him. He first met you in relations to the prison system, so when you came to him with the information that you were a bounty hunter, his internal monologue was tired grumbling. But then you started talking more, just casually, about how what he did was pretty cool. Pretty cool, he couldn't believe it. He does not agree - not in the slightest, but when you started talking about your job and the things you see, he understand that his situation is not the worst out there - not the worst you've experienced, and as you say, at least he defended himself. You were incredibly interested in Ryoma and even when he was in prison, would visit him and talk to him nonchalantly. This was before the two of you were even together. Your status and your connections actually made it easier for you two to get along. It made it easier to get him off of death row.

❤ The two of you own a one cat together, one that travels with you wherever you go.

❤ He loves seeing you when you get back from work. You're often sweating if there was a chase, or aggravated if you had to deal with annoying people, or sometimes sad when you have to deal with cases that are unjust, even in the justice system. The different auras you have when you come home just keep reminding him of that first conversation you two ever had.

❤ He would rather not go with you when you have jobs to do, but he prefers it over staying home alone for long periods of time. Plus, it's not as if he's actually attending you.

❤ (If he has to admit - your work clothes are a bit sexy).

❤ You bring candy home for him every once in awhile. You love it when he eats candy because it makes him taste sweet. He's so scrumptious when he tastes sweet.

Shinguuji Korekiyo

❤ He sought you out for his studies. He wanted to talk to you - you specifically. You had not been in his class when he attended Hope's Peak, and the two of you had actually graduated separately - he only realized you were an alumni when researching you. He loved hearing you talk about your job. Bounty hunters, the job isn't beyond his knowledge, but he still holds very little information internally about it. He wanted to learn. He also wanted to talk to you [about annyyytthhiiinnnggg]. Which, of course, Shinguuji being incredibly professional, invited you over to his house.

❤ He was not slick about wanting to court you. He kept on about your intelligence and your appealing pride, and he starred at you as if you were an art piece. You felt so flattered in his presence. It was extremely flustering. Now, what you were unaware of in another sense is the reason he wanted to get close to you. Beyond learning more about another country's history, he also wanted to keep the SHSL Bounty Hunter close to him - he needed to become acquainted with you. He's killed girls in many countries. One day it might catch up to him.

"You cage them like butterflies in a cocoon." He says behind a cup of tea. You cross your ankles, shifting in your seat to get more comfortable.

"Caterpillars in a cocoon. They become butterflies after they learn to stop jumping their bail."

"Absconding. I imagine you find their reasoning to be unnecessary."

You nod, though it feels like a trap. "It's not apart of my job to."

"To what?"

His yellow eyes pierce through yours. You squint. To sympathize with them, you almost say.

But he senses your answer, smiling to himself behind his mask at the sudden silence in the room, pleased to have striken something morally inside of you: the fact that you did not hop to say it proves that there is still a person within you, someone he can move. He places the cup down on its saucer before deciding his next move. "I find your passion rather attractive, my dear."

❤ Inside of his house is quiet and therefore it's an amazing place to go when you want to cool down.

❤ Do you need help (ever) trying to find someone? Well, he did graduate alongside Ouma-kun, and although he'd rather not contact him - well, he'd do a lot he'd rather not do for you.

❤ He knows a lot of people in a lot of countries. And like him, some of them are dangerous. You do find it a bit suspicious how he consistently asks you who your next defendant is.

❤ He loves it when you caress him after coming home from work - it feels dangerous. Each time he wonders, is this it, imagining your gentle touches becoming detaining and filled with hatred; betrayal.

❤ He both tries to get closer to you while simultaneously pushing you away.

❤ Something he'll say things like, "ah, you little animal," and though he spits it with sharp infliction it is a bit flustering how he holds your cheek when he does so.

❤ He believes in love! Very much obviously! And god does he grow to love you. Once you start plaguing his thoughts in a I-wonder-what-they-are-eating-for-breakfast way and not in a what's-can-I-do-to-get-them-to-trust-me way, he realizes that the act of trying to bring you closer goes both ways, as now he is closer to you.

he was fine with being him
