They owned an underwater cafe inside the Octavinelle dorm (which is actually a gambling place for students to enjoy😭).

Hardworking student, mostly uses their ability to exchange information with every student to do the deals.

Sigma is in the mountain-loving club (actually wants to be in the board game club but backs out because of Fyodor).

My au

(Inspired by The Soukoku Switch au, belonging to @muaviinu who you should check out!!)

The Genius Switch~

The two smartasses of bsd, Ranpo Edogawa and Dazai Osamu. What if they were at different places at different times? What if Mori picked up Ranpo? What if Fukuzawa picked up Dazai? Would they be different, or essentially the same?

The concept in practice:

A 10yo Osamu wanders the streets and stumbles across a soft hearted man who simply couldn't turn him away.

A 14yo Edogawa gets himself in trouble with local criminals before a certain doctor intervenes, and offers him a new life.

Set in stone ideas:

Instead of Ranpo convincing Yosano to join the Agency, he offers her a place in the Mafia. Instead of telling her "You'll never have to use your ability again." He says to her "You'll get to use your ability however you want."

Dazai meets kid-assassin Oda, and it changes something in him and his perspective. The boy grows up a family friend to Fukuzawa and Osamu, eventually an adult member of the Mafia. The teenage brunette convinces Oda to leave and join the Agency with him and his adoptive father. He agrees.

I just saw a thing about a Dazai-Chuuya ability swap au and I realized just how much canon that would actually change

Their relationships with almost everyone around them would be drastically different

The sheep wouldn't have seen Chuuya as a weapon but instead a shield

The Ada would have been way more cautious around Dazai

Mori would not have only been so much more terrified of Dazai, he would have been a lot more upset/worried about him leaving

Their relationship with eachother would be almost completely different

Dead Apple would have had a whole new plot

characters : ranpo edogawa and reader (as his foster mother)

synopsis : everything's not fine for ranpo. everywhere he go, he finds his way out immediately. since the death of his parents, he was left alone with no one to rely on. his dad who's known as 'the clairvoyant' told him if anything were to happen, ranpo should go to yokohama and visit the police academy. throughout his journey, he secretly longed for love—an unconditional love of a mother who will give him hugs, praises and snacks to go throughout his lonely world.

"Ah...Miss [Last Name], you're better than that..." The Director of the Police Academy softly placed all the documents down the table. He let out a sigh and shook his head.

"I'm not gonna be able to approve of keeping Mr. Edogawa here..."

Inside the envelope is Ranpo's improvement card. Academically, he ranked 1 among all the students registered in Yokohama. There are no subjects marked failed except—the behaviour chart.

"Sir..please, the child got nowhere to stay if you kick him out of here..."

This is the only time that the Director heard your pleads. Ever since you applied for the job, what he admires about you is your cold demeanor. Things that must be done shall be done—that's what he learnt from you. You're not easy to please especially when it comes to students discipline.

"I admire his intelligence, Miss [Last Name]..It's the department's honor to have him here—he raised his name with this academy..."

"But I couldn't bear to see the rest suffer just because of an individual."

The tea he served now become cold, still untouched. With your head hang low, you stood up and gave him a bow.

"I...Understand..I'm sorry for causing you trouble at this hour."

"Ah! [Your Name]-chan!...OW!" You flicked Ranpo's forehead while hiding the pack of candies you bought for him.

"What did I told you about formalities when we're still inside the academy's premises?" Ranpo pouted and shook his head.

"It's still the same! You're Miss [Last Name] here and you are [Your Name]-chan outside! Is that two different person?" Ranpo received another flick on his forehead.

"No red bean porridge with a sweet mochi and pack of candies today, only water!"

It's quite a sight to see him throw his tantrum shamelessly everytime you give him that threat, yet you're caught off-guard, he only responded with silence.

"Ranpo...? Are you alright?"

You turned around and saw him searching in his pocket. With his usual closed eyes, he brought a silver chain from his pocket with a clear pebble on it. Inside, there is a piece of cherry blossom petal.

"I'm just drinking my favourite drink when I asked someone to remove the pebble inside. About the petal inside, it's too troublesome to tell you the story behind that." Ranpo reached out for you hands with his cheek tinted with crimson red.

"I heard your conversation with the Director..I'm sorry for causing you trouble." His hands connected to yours are trembling. It took you a minute to see the wet circular mark on the floor—he's crying.

You kneeled down to his height, took his hat off and ran your hands to his messy locks. His tears kept on flowing out from his eyes as he get overwhelmed of your actions.

"Ranpo-kun..? You will never cause me trouble, hm? Why would you cause me trouble? Because you ask me to buy you candies? To buy you red porridge? To give you a ride to school?" Ranpo embraced you. His tears staining your uniform but you don't give a damn.

"I...[Your Name]-chan...They...They don't know your anymore because of...me...You changed just to...let me have a place to stay at, to live at.."

You embraced him tighter, tears started to fall down your eyes. Ranpo fear that he causes you trouble. He is scared that maybe because of that, someday, you will get rid of him.

"I never behave, I often speak my thoughts, I often cause trouble, I often cause you trouble...[Your Name]-chan..I-I'm sorry..! Please don't get rid of me..!"

His words brings lots of memories back to you. Everytime his parents will ask to have you at their house, Ranpo is the very first one to welcome you. It's a rare sight for you to see him crying, not for candies but fear. Ranpo is the most intelligent child you witnessed to grow up.

Everytime he did something that he knows you wouldn't like, he will eventually get rid of the evidence (but nonetheless you saw it). Whenever you ask him to confess what he did, he will only pout and shook his head, giving you things such as his favourite candy or favourite toys as an apology.

You looked at the necklace he gave to you, they're newly made. He thought he caused you trouble, so he give you a necklace out of a pebble as an apology—he never changed.

"[Your Name]-chan...? You're gonna get rid of me too, right? Are you leaving me too?" You distanced yourself and grabbed his face.

"You're intelligent enough to see through me, right? Look, look at my face. Tell me if you see any evidence that will prove your question, that I will leave you." You firmly spoke despite the tears flowing on your cheeks.

Ranpo stared. It took him 5 minutes before shaking his head. He threw his arms back to you to embrace you.

"Remember when you're 4? We used to play crime-mine. We must solve a crime and then it will be marked ours if we are able to crack it. I saw your potential and your interest, that's why you're able to solve everything. You got 505 crimes named after you...Your Father bragged about that for weeks..."

"I may not be able to see the future or tell you the future but...Ranpo-kun..When you become a detective, I'll be right beside you. Always."

"Atsushi, I'll take over right here."

Ranpo took a step near the closed door, Atsushi behind him. They're at the Port Mafia's premises. The case of the missing Police Academy Director, [Your Name] is led by no other than Ranpo Edogawa himself.

"But it's too dangerous for you to have it here, Ranpo-san.."

"If [Your Name] didn't hesitate to give up everything to give me a life to live, then I won't too. If she didn't leave me, I won't leave her too—especially when she's in danger."

"After all, she's the love I lost and found."

So I saw this video on tiktok abt what if Atsushi's ability was given to him, like Kyouka's was by her mother? Obviously we know it's possible because, I mean, Kyouka's a prime example.

And anyway it got my thinking what if it isn't Atsushi who knows the location of the book but rather Byakko? I feel like that would make sense as to why Fyodor sent Shibusawa in Atsushi's direction - perhaps hoping Shibusawa would take Atsushi's ability, Byakko, so that he could then take it from Shibusawa and use it to find the book. Idk it's just a neat little theory I've been rolling around in my mind.

~In which Dazai escapes from his overprotective parent to commit (!!!TriggerWarning!!!) sewerside and escape the arranged marriage with Prince Arahabaki but as he was going to jump into the river, he meets Chuuya and they bicker with each other, but in the end they get married (might make a fic on this, honestly, but I've never written romance before, so we'll see how it goes)

Gakuen Headcanon

Verlaine not only makes Chuya lunch and makes sure to take it to school, but she also waits for him at dismissal time so the two can go home together. Chuya can't help but feel VERY embarrassed, but no matter how much he asks his older brother to stop doing those things, he doesn't seem to listen and does the opposite.

And yes, Dazai doesn't miss the opportunity to make fun of him when he can.

Verlaine: It's 3:00 p.m., if I hurry, I'll arrive at 3:20 p.m. on Chuya's bike. I'll just have to wait ten minutes until he comes out. *clapping*

Dazai's van breaks down and Chuuya fixes it for her, and Dazai definitely wasn’t watching intently every time Chuuya’s muscles flexes as she worked on the van. Over the next few weeks Dazai's van mysteriously keeps breaking down until Chuuya finds a nail very deliberately stabbed into Dazai's tires and is like... hmmm

My au (Again)

I've posted quite a bit about my au but there are some ideas I've kept cooking in the back for a while, so here they are!!

The Akutagawa siblings and Tanizaki siblings are also swapped, Atsushi is in the Mafia, Tachihara is in the Agency, and Poe is also in the PM!!!

Ranpo heard rumor of a white tiger and a boy who can create illusions both in need of work and housing. He seeked them out and invited them into the PM, as well as Junichiro's sister, guaranteeing her protection in exchange for his loyalty.

Poe is slightly different. A huge case in Yokohama caught Poe's attention, he raced to crack it before Ranpo, but lost. Ranpo was impressed by Poe's wit and ability, concluding that he'd be quite useful to the PM, if only he could get him to join. Ranpo told Poe that he'd get to work with him on any case they get, giving him infinite opportunities to beat him. In exchange, he'd have to work for the Mafia. Poe agreed.

In the case of the Akutagawa siblings, Dazai found them when they were orphans in the slums. Recently having lost their friends. Just like in canon, but in this universe, Osamu invites the two to join him in the Agency.

Tachihara was never scouted for the Hunting Dogs, instead continued to live life as a criminal. Eventually, Gin found him during an investigation and saw how he wished to be somewhere else- to stop his life of crime. Gin invited him into the Agency.

Oh! And Verlaine is a Hunting Dog. That's all!!

i kinda assigned these on random (and i kinda erased the guild cause since Fitzgerald wouldn't have his money ability he wouldn't have the need to really buy out the agency [totally didn't do this because i had no idea what ability to give who])

OBVIOUSLY THERES MORE BUT I DONT REMEMBER IT ALL AT THE TOP OF MY HEAD AND IM TOO LAZY TO CHECK AND RE WRITE ALL THE ABILITIES OVER HERE.

but the point is that i made a story about how yosano fukuzawa and kunikida met and i think it's kinda fire so i might upload it on Ao3 or somewhere in the near future
