#idk if anyone is following my tags #but I’ll give an update anyway #I saw my friend that I’m crushing on the other day #we had dinner while she was visiting GC for the weekend #it was defs more of good friends hanging out vibes #it was a fun night with good convo #she is the only one I talk to about dating/relationships/sex stuff #and bi stuff #it’s really great to have someone to bond with over that that stuff #but she’s still seeing that guy atm and I only got friend vibes from her #I felt she likes me and misses me and enjoys my company but in a friend way #I like her a lot #makes me so happy to talk to about things #happy to be friends and still be close to her and talk to her

Going to do a Nevermoor series reread in June + July + August ? if anyone else also wants to do a reread around that time, could be fun to have more of the fandom prepping for Silverborn

Did initially make a roadmap plan to split the books up into weeks on top of already being months, so that people could focus on specific parts and discuss each week….. but between the fact that I messed it up the first time, Silverborn kept getting delayed as I planned it, and I’m actually really bad at keeping to stuff like that (looking at you, Silverborn Countdown Challenge…) I’m deciding to just go for it at whatever pace happens.

#will def be June/July but we’ll have to see if I get into August. may want to keep most of that + September as Silverborn Hype Months lol #nevermoor #silverborn #if you ever followed my rereads thoughts masterpost for my (reread?) eternal reread and wondered ‘why no hollowpox’? boy is it a doozy #beginning of the year Apple Books updated and I’m not huge on it!#and since I couldn't fix I decided I would try and delete and reinstall the app.....#…..forgetting that my books and notes are tied to the app and not saved otherwise…..#so I lost all my notes INCLUDING all my reactions and thoughts from my very first reread that I was excited to look back on and share 🥲😭😭😭#so I’ve just been in mourning and never continued out of my personal beef with the app….#so this time I think I’ll take use of all my different physical copies and read them physically to give myself a break from screens lol #this summer is just grindset time of getting back into drawing and trying to get good so this reread I also want to draw stuff alongside #like try to nail some character designs and such to make it easier for Silverborn lol #I fear I will need to figure out how to draw dragons……#anyways. if you’ve read all these tags you are now required to join in on the reread with me 🫵#this also reminds me I need to keep working / actually work on the nine spreadsheet / masterpost. will do that ✍️#I have had several drafts saved of posts I want to respond to with theories that I’ve been saving for my hollowpox reread that now I’m like #do I just save them for Silverborn?? lol

me waiting for my writer’s block to fuck off and leave me alone so i can finish this chapter:

#my creativity is just so dead rn and it makes me want to crawl out of my own skin #i’ve been waiting MONTHS to finally have a little bit of free time to breathe and catch up on writing stuff #and naturally now that i have i am so mentally and emotionally drained i can barely string a sentence together #i feel so distant and detached from my characters #and yes i know it’ll pass #but i just feel so caught in this headspace rn and needed to vent #i’m SO close to finishing this chapter for good but i have well and truly fallen at the final hurdle #the perfectionism has got me #ugh #also if anyone reading this is worried about four walls being updated #please don’t #i literally circle through this headspace every single chapter #and it hasn’t stopped me yet #(and it never will either. i couldn’t give up on this fic if i tried)#but it’s just hitting me particularly hard this last week #why is writing such an agonising process sometimes #anyway #enough rambling from me for one night #i’ll drag myself back to my laptop and see if i can work some magic #wish me luck #writing stuff #lulu posts

Hmmm I kinda want to make a side blog for RPG Maker game development related things to be able to talk to more experienced people in that community, but at the same time I both don’t really think I’d get much attention and don’t want to accidentally spoil my own game (^^ ; ).

I have a rough story, concept doodles, a tileset, some character sprites, an enemy that walks around but can’t initiate battle yet (if I even decide to have a battle system), a couple rooms with some events, and a functioning run button, but I’m still lost on how to do much else at the moment. Especially since this program has the ability for scripting, meaning I’ll probably have to learn and actually retain another coding language.

So, I’m not very far at all lol. Idk how well that’d go over on the established fandom website, but eh.

#text post #incoherent rambling #project update #game project #I’m still also debating whether or not I can actually even make a proper horror game too #It’s the rule of like just being a horror fan doesn’t make you good at horror being afraid of something does? ya know?#I am trying to go with things that scare me personally but it’s been difficult #either things aren’t concrete of concepts enough or are wayyyy too oddly specific to make anything about #which is quitter talk I know but how does one translate the childhood heebee jeebees of watching top ten gaming videos past bedtime 💀💀💀#or like the way too broad general fear of lack of control without making it too on the nose or too vague #truly a balancing act writing is #kinda ironically I am also a little bit less afraid of hospitals after having been to one for myself rather than family members #which makes things both more and less difficult???#on one hand I have better references for them now but on the other hand I’m desensitized to it 😔#I think I get used to things a little too easily for a lot of things to stay scary #the thing was a scary movie the first time I saw it and now it’s a comfort film #funger was a very scary game until I first died and reloaded a save with little consequence and now it’s just a spooky but fun rpg #but then at the same time thinking about a movie studio logo before a movie that scared me as a kid cause there was a monster in it #still gives weird left over shivers but actually seeing it doesn’t anymore for some reason #I feel like that’s how it’s worked with most things I’ve ever been afraid of in my life besides concepts like death control or idk drowning #ugh writing is HARD #but actually making a functional and fun to play game is harder oh my god do I not know how to make puzzles #I have made swivel chairs that can be knocked and walked over but that’s about it and idk what to do with that knowledge lmaooooo #and I don’t want the entire gameplay loop to be read text search room get key repeat cause that’s boring #I have also desperately tried making a stamina system but there’s not much help with that online especially not in the rpg maker forums #the no necroposting rule sucks all the threads for questions I have never get answered and never will cause no one is allowed to due to age #anyway idk what to tag this probably won’t get seen since it’s not my usual anyway but eh whatever I’ll think about this #hopefully I remember the passwords to two blogs 💀💀💀

#doing a dcshg v1/v2 comparison #v2 is def stronger in almost every way #i’ll give v1 some credit it does have some good designs #karen and hal here for example #karen’s side braids are striped like a bumblebee?? i mean cmon that’s just character design genius #and you KNOW i gotta appreciate a pilot jacket hal (not pictured)#but the storylines and pacing and animation and voice acting are a lot better in v2 #the girls are kinda uninspired in v1 but the boys feel more in-character (less boys vs girls the way v2 is)#v2’s girls have a lot of variety and distinct roles but the boys as we know are. well they’re a hit or miss #ivy is sooo much better in v2 she might be its best character besides barry #carol is unfortunately not great in both versions and ik that’s the comics’ fault #but it still feels dismissive. like you can make a hopeless romantic character without misogyny #anyway personal biases (and also weird moral lessons) aside i’ve been enjoying both!#obviously the show is called dc superhero GIRLS so i have to give my vote to v2 #but also bc barry is kinda just perfect in v2 like the update was clearly made by someone that loved him specifically #but also hates hal specifically it’s weird #like how are you gonna be a flash fan and not know that flashes have a history of friendship with green lanterns #v1 makes him a slapstick character too but it’s actually funny. so there IS a difference #but i’m starting to like v2 hal anyway :( i can’t fault him for the show’s misgivings :(#danbles #dcshg #karen beecher #hal jordan #green lantern #dc #i’ve now seen 1 season of v1 and a random mish mash of episodes of v2. sighh i’ll go back and watch them in order to compare 😔#no one is asking for this i just love comparing and contrasting things #oh and btw v1 cheetah is exactly like toralei monster high. i wonder if they knew what they were doing #btw x2 barry and hal share the same VA in v1. just putting that out there

Okay mini life update since I’m about halfway through my gap year….

#so I don’t really know where to start #anyway for the past like 3ish months I’ve been very radio silence :|#mainly because of work #but also I’ve been busy doing uni interviews/prepping for them #I’m very much a person who likes to dedicate their time on something #and give it my undivided attention #so that’s why I’ve been slacking on giving updates and why my drafts keep on building up 💀#anyway i digress #exciting news I’m going to uni!!!!#and I’m going to do vet med with a foundation year :)))#it’s going to be a long six years #but I’m so excited to start my course #I found out like last week but it took so long #since I did the interview in mid feb and they said I would find out mid March #so when it got past mid march I was loosing hope 😭😭😭#anyway I’m so relieved that the uni process is over and I can’t wait for september to come #it’s going to be a really big adjustment going from my small city to a pretty big city but I’m sure I’ll cope #some other updates #work still sucks but it’s only for a couple months #then I see if I can talk to my manger about working when I’m on holidays #some other exciting news I’m going travelling in about 3 weeks so I’m very excited about that #and after this I might do one more trip maybe …#gatherrambles #gathertalks #thegapyeardiaries

Me trying to write this fic cause I was feeling petty yet again and it’s taking me forever cause of course it is. But also I have no business writing smut, but I have this specific scene (again borrowing from the vibes of my golden otp) and it just went from sexy to depressing real quick. All that’s to say is that I should not be allowed to write cause what is even happening. Except this time I know why it’s happening but yet here I am still writing it? Also it’s pride month and I should be giving off more ace energy. At least at work I’m wearing my pride pin every day and it was noticed and I was celebrated for it which is so wonderful! So to those of you in the community, I hope you’re able to shine. If it isn’t safe or you’re not ready, I hope you’re still able to celebrate and know that you’re still a part of us <3

Uh oh besties, I’m feeling complex tonight!!

#my post #change is… hard. even when it’s very wanted.#even when it’s very wanted and very good. it’s still hard.#I’m trying to remember what going to college as a freshman was like.#so she can help me go though my current change.#idk I feel like she did better but also she had a routine right away. I’m hoping when I have a routine I’ll do better #I’m not even doing bad.#overall mentally I’ve been in much less despair but also change is hard #and I’m happy to be around my friends so much and I miss my parents and Im excited to grow and I miss being comfortable with my surroundings #so yeah. anyway. trying to give myself space to be complex but it’s hard because I’m in a whirlwind.#but tomorrow I’m gonna look at the eclipse. maybe I’ll receive some cosmic signs. maybe it’ll just be a super cool eclipse.#either way i will face tomorrow. and the day after that #and so on and I will grow and still be complicated but if I just keep going it will feel less big #UPDATE I cried a little bit and I’m feeling still complex but better so. adding crying only a little bit to the list

hey I just wanted to give you guys a heads up that though I said in a previous post I would try to have chapter 15 ready by this sunday (march 10) that’s definitely not going to happen (I’m so sorry once again).

So I have made a horrible decision

And that is to try and animate THE ENTIRETY of chapter 44 (and a little bit of chapter 43) of Crooked Kingdom because I am a madwoman and Kanej has been rotting my brain for the past few days since I finished the duology and seeing as I so stubbornly refuse to look up any fanart or fanfics of the two until I’m also finished with the King of Scars duology I have taken it upon myself to at least TRY and make some king of content out of that moment

So I’m getting off my antidepressants
