OwaMiki Short Manga (Mondo and Mikan preparing for their amusement park date.)
*This is a fan art of an owamiki post on Ultimate Ask Blog (@ultimateask):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
----
When I saw the amusement park date post, I thought their outfits were very nice, but in my opinion, Mondo doesn't like to wear such completely simple outfits, and Mikan doesn't like to wear revealing outfits, so I thought it was so cute if it was the case that Chihiro and Taka advised Mondo to dress more like a gentleman, and Ibuki advised Mikan to dress more fashionably, and that's why they wore those outfits. 🤭💕
I mean, I think it would be super cute if Mondo dressed less decorated and more mature for Mikan and Mikan dressed a little more flashy but hot for Mondo! XD
(I know Mondo was wearing the same outfit when they kissed in front of the fountain, but I wanted the Ultimates to recommend their respective outfits. Sorry for the inaccurate timeline!) If you want to know how they got together, search for the #owamiki tag on Ultimate Ask Blog and check out their cute story! 💖

Naegami talent swap au concept sketches I drew several months ago 🫡
Headcanons for this au under the cut!
•Makoto is still very charismatic, and knows how to get along with people, but it’s for his own gain, rather than because he actually cares about others. For the first two chapters, everyone actually really likes him (except Byakuya, because he figured Makoto out immediately). It isn’t until mid second trial that everyone starts to see him for who he really is- a manipulative piece of shit.
•Makoto has an ongoing, intense, brutal rivalry going on with Komaru for control over their parents’ company. They hate each other.
•Byakuya’s dad is still a manwhore who slept around with multiple women, and has a gajillion kids around Japan. Byakuya doesn’t know any of his half-siblings, and doesn’t care to know them.
•Byakuya’s mom doesn’t like him- he was unplanned, unwanted, and his father disappeared without a trace and doesn’t pay child support. In short, he’s seen as an inconvenience. Because of that, he’s had to essentially learn how to take care of himself, and learn to not rely on anyone else.
•At his shitty middle school, Byakuya spent a lot of time tutoring some of the kids there for extra school credit. Some of those kids had, in one way or another, ties to Mondo’s gang. Word got back to Mondo about him, and he thinks Byakuya is awesome for this, even though they didn’t get to meet until they got trapped in Hope’s Peak. Mondo tries really hard to he his friend, but because Byakuya has very deeply rooted trust issues, it doesn’t work that well.
•Byakuya still catches Mondo leaving the crime scene he made, and finds Chihiro in the locker room, but he doesn’t alter the scene this time. He’s actually really shaken up by it, and refuses to leave his room after finding it, until Monokuma (and Makoto) practically drag him out against his will to participate in the investigation/trial.
•No one likes Byakuya at first, because he doesn’t cooperate, and is blunt with his words. He doesn’t care (or pretends he doesn’t) because he’s never met anyone he could trust in his life thus far, so why would anyone here be trustworthy? It isn’t until the end of the second trial that everyone starts warming up to him. Hina and Sakura even apologize to him for being so rude at first, and say he shouldn’t have had to go through all that. Kyoko also starts asking for his opinion on a lot of stuff about the school, and future trials. Byakuya is appalled by this.
•Something, something, Makoto and Byakuya hold hands, but it takes much longer for them to do that in this au, than in a canon talent au, because neither of them know how to communicate properly, and trust issues are a BITCH.
•Makoto receives the Hina slap in this au LMAO. He’ll never admit it, but it actually really hurts his feelings.

Danganronpa and the Paranormal
Danganronpa is extravagant, from it's deliciously unhinged plot to it's refreshing psycho-pop aesthetic. Ontop of all this, the series contains some paranormal elements, which some players tend to forget about. In this post, I'll go through every instance of paranormal happenings in the series; this includes the first two games¹, the spin-offs and novels.
I hope you'll enjoy it!
Tumblr media
Spirits
Ghosts are a surprisingly reoccurrent theme in Danganronpa games. The most flagrant example is the revenant Komaru and Toko encounter in Ultra Despair girls: none other than Tokuichi Towa, the late father of Haiji and Monaca Towa. He appears and speaks to the girls, even revealing he has the ability to curse (though he refuses to do so, considering the act "lowly"). His death was caused by his own daughter, who ordered Monokumas to slash his throat after the man betrayed Junko. Tokuichi's soul is stuck in a tormentuous purgatory at the hands of Monaca, and thus, he begs the protagonists to stop the child (a feat which would probably lead to his soul being freed and moving on to the afterlife).
Tumblr media
One might think this is the only case of revenants appearing in Danganronpa, but the first game might contain some as well. When considering that spirits hold the power of possession, it becomes clear that Chihiro Fujisaki and Kiyotaka Ishimaru might be victims of possession themselves. Regarding Chihiro, it's rather curious how his Alter Ego program emulates human-like behaviours and emotions. While this might simply be due to Chihiro's talent as the ultimate programmer, it is possible that a part of his spirit went on to possess his program, albeit in a subtle, barely conscious manner. Much less subtle and dubitable is the possession of Kiyotaka Ishimaru, who is overtaken by the ghost of Mondo Owada after the latter's execution. Taka reacts to his best friend's death by becoming deeply traumatized and entering a near-catatonic state, rendering his spirit feeble. Shortly after, he becomes white-haired, and exhudes a powerful, radiant energy in the form of a glowing aura. His behaviour, mood and even speech patterns begin to ressemble Mondo's. Note however that it stays at that - a ressemblance. The ultimate moral compass keeps a certain amount of restraint, by not daring to actually curse for example. One could blame this on a form of psychosis, or - the more likely option, ironically - possession. The following official artwork suggests as much.
Tumblr media
One could argue that Hajime undergoes a comparable process at the end of the second game, when his spirit rejects that of Izuru Kamakura's, though this instance seems to be rather similar to an anime trope than something meant to be paranormal.
There's also a haunted grave at the Jabberwock Hospital in SDR2. However, since the island is apart of a simulation, it's likely that this is simply an addition of the Junko virus rather than a recreation of any "real" Jabberwock Island element.
Tumblr media
Superstition
There are two types of superstitious forces in Danganronpa, the first being luck. As simple as it may be, it's a talent that proved itself to be a true function in the DR-verse. Makoto and Nagito both manage to use this "power" (though when it comes to Nagito, this tends to backfire at times). Both young men manage to have events unveil in their favor through the power of luck, despite not having any direct control over the talent. It's also known that Hope's Peak Academy's steering commitee even attempts to harvest this power through the Izuru Kamakura Project, in spite of scepticism surrounding the existence of luck. Regardless of such subjective opinions however, luck is undeniably real in the DR-verse.
Another superstition that's mostly present in the first game is clairvoyance. Yasuhiro Hagakure, the ultimate clairvoyant, is said to have a 30% success rate on his predictions. One turn out to be accurate (the first being about how Kiyotaka and Hifumi are the last victims of their killing game²) and the second is correct depending on the player's performance. In fact, if they fail at the last trial, they get the bad ending, which is a perfect display of a fate Hagakure predicted: him and Makoto fathering the children of the same woman (Aoi). Hiro's character is often portrayed as that of a shady con-man; these two true predictions however hint at the possibility of his powers being real.
Tumblr media
Aliens
Not only is Yasuhiro Hagakure gifted with clairvoyance, he also had an encounter with an U.F.O. This U.F.O. (likely a flying saucer according to the artwork) flew to him one night, locked onto the hamburger he was eating with a ray of light, and then absorbed part of it before flying away. According to Hiro, whoever piloted the flying saucer wanted the beef from the burger (which aligns with the well-known trope of aliens stealing cows from fields). The scene is very much out-of-place and it's veracity is unconfirmed. It isn't the first or last time aliens appear in Danganronpa's universe.
Tumblr media
Back in Kirigirisou, a parallel ending introduces the player to Rhinogradentias. Those aliens also appear in the third Togami novel³. They come in different shades of brown, with various specimens possessing diverse features; some have tentacles, others have hands, etc. These creatures are based off rhinogrades, or snouters, which are actual real-life mammals known for the fact that they "walk" on their long snouts. The Rhinogradentia are introduced in Kirigirisou as "super galaxy level invaders". They wish to take over planet Earth and get rid of of humans, which they deem too destructive and polluting. However, their limited intellect restricts them. Like the aliens Yasuhiro saw, they fly in U.F.O.s. The third volume of the Togami novel hints at their existence being purely theoretical, without any further confirmation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lastly, there is a group of aliens at the Jabberwock Hospital in SDR2, though this once again seems to be a gag set up by AI-Junko rather than any recreations from the real Jabberwock Island. They return in Danganronpa: Ultimate Summer Camp, once again as an easter-egg. The meaning of this scene, of these aliens standing next to an operating table, is very enigmatic.⁴
Tumblr media
Notes:
Gundham Tanaka and his antics aren't included in this post, as he doesn't really have magic powers, but instead has Chūnibyō syndrome.
¹ I deliberately left out Killing Harmony, as it's parallel canon, and ontop of that it's events are confirmed to be in-game fiction. Hence, the paranormal events of V3 qualify as inauthentic.
² This first prediction concerns the 4th chapter. 4 is the number of death and bad luck in japanese numerology, fitting for the chapter with the most victims.
³ Kirigirisou's alternate endings are parallel canon. As for the Togami novels, whether or not they're canon is unconfirmed to this day.
⁴ I like to think there is some sort of hidden symbolism behind those aliens. In my opinion, it's related to Kamakura. There are 4 people in Monokuma masks, so perhaps they symbolize the steering commitee? I'm not sure what the aliens symbolize though. I like to think AI-Junko included the easter-egg as a nod to Hajime and his transformation.

do yall ever think about how taka's love language is definitely physical affection because hes very bad with words and is incredibly touch starved. how he'd constantly express affection through certain small actions. he'd play with mondos hair while its down, twirling his curls with his fingers, petting makotos hair, carrying them and picking them up, hold them tightly while hugging them, locking his arms around them while cuddling and refusing to let go, giving them neck kisses, forehead kisses, squishing their faces and pinching their cheeks playfully, putting his arm around them and bringing them close to him, not in some kind of dominant way, but as a way to not lose them Ever.
you can say he wouldnt like PDA all you want but i feel like he'd be totally okay with it, as long as its not outright making out in the subway or something. just small gestures, small touches, something to remind him theres someone around him that really loves him, and vise versa. even something as simple as hand holding, it would make his day.
and in private MY GOD!!! he would literally be glued to them at all times!!! and theyd love it. and wont leave him alone either
tldr Clingy boyfriend taka is real and if you truly believe in dogboy taka agenda you HAVE to agree with me.

*Random TMNT 2012 (mainly side characters) hc's bcuz hyperfixation
*(this is the best divider to ever exist btw)
Tumblr media
*Warnings: Spoilers for TMNT 2012 ofc, mentions of gender dysphoria and trans related insecurity, transphobia, accidental arson, bullying, manipulation, ptsd, also the tone of the headcanons shift randomly also also typing quirk
Tumblr media
*Chris Bradford is trans. )(e did a full transition, he did hormones, voice training, top and bottom surgery, a few different surgeries to make him look/feel more masculine, all the bells and whistles, even went the extra mile to do procedures to hide his surgery scars. )(e's closeted and does about everything in his power to make sure no one even question that he was assigned female at birth because he's scared of his social image of being the great macho man, Chris Bradford, crumbling.
*Leo mainly or solely uses fandom and fanfic socials like Wattpad, AO3, Amino, Tumblr, and maybe Twitter. She mainly interacts with Space )(eroes and Crognard The Barbarian fan posts and shows a special interest in gender swap aus.
*Later on, post show with Muckman's help the mutants are actually able to freely walk around humans without them completely flipping out and starting a mob to witch hunt after them.
*Speaking of walking around humans, Napoleon and the frogs down in Louisiana are considered local urban legend and humans get really excited when they spot the frogs in the woods.
*Dr. Rockwell is a very big coffee enjoyer and used to secretly steal coffee from the nearby shops around the mighty mutanimals hideout and on the rare occasion when someone caught him and called him out he would always use the excuse of the shops being owned by big corporations.
*Don Visioso is a deadbeat father of 5. )(e also has had multiple wives and many divorces.
*Mondo Gecko will call people posers if he's jealous enough of them.
*Ivan Steranko is also trans but has only had hrt and face masculinizing surgery and refuses to get top and bottom surgery.
*Anton Zeck is incredibly smart and performed extremely well in high school and even got free scholarships for how well he did.
*Shinigami is a big video game nerd and will geek out if anyone mentions one of the games she plays.
*The reason Anton hated the mutant name Mikey gave him at first is because it either sounds a lot like or straight up is a nickname old bullies of him gave in order to make fun of him.
*Premutation, Chris acts transphobic towards Xever (despite Xever being cis) out of jealousy and insecurity.
*Baxter Stockman is either a gay aroace trans mspec nonbinary man or a cishet ally. No in-between.
*Mini April cluster!!!:
*April has a deep love for literature and writes poetry in her spare time.
*She almost burned down the culinary class in her school once.
*She's questioning aroace.
*She felt extra empathy for Muckman because he reminded her of Kirby a little bit.
*She likes to hide stickers around the lair whenever has them on her person.
*She thoroughly enjoys having long conversations with each of the individual turtles. (It's her favorite way to spend time with anyone tbh)
*April does eventually take some time to properly learn Japanese and becomes pretty decent at speaking and reading it.
*)(er and Donnie often like to geek out together whenever they find anything new about aliens (both species they haven't seen yet and ones they know well like the kraang).
*End of the mini April cluster!!!
*Kirby O'Neil is a pretty decent cook. That man can make a mean chicken stew.
*Shinigami actually owns multiple cats. 2 ragdoll, 1 sphinx, 1 Persian, and 3 British shorthairs (I could name them all, but I don't wanna). Also, the majority of them are black cats. She feeds strays, too.
*The last headcanon is much to Karai's dismay because she is somewhat allergic. She gets headaches, her skin gets slightly irritated and she gets the sniffles if she's around cats for too long.
*Casey's younger sister wants to be a hair stylist when she grows up, so Jones let's her do his hair every once in a while and he flexes it to every one at the lair like: "Oh? My hair? Yeah, my sister did it for me. Pretty metal, what she did with it, right?"
*Tigerclaw is the only Foot Clan member to not bully Baxter Stockman.
*Someone manipulated and lied to Alopex in order to make her hate and hunt down her brother.
*After season 4, Baxter Stockman leaves New York and takes over Stockman Industries. (If you're unaware of what that is, it's on billboards that the turtles pass throughout the show the most notable appearance being in the ending scene of the final season 4 episode, 'Owari'.)
*Slash deep down still misses The Newtralizer.
*Leatherhead kind of freaks out (apologies for the bad wording) when someone fully wraps their arms around his neck when hugging him because it reminds him of the restraints the Kraang put him in.
*Pigeon Pete learns how to bake so he can make his own bread.
*The turtles get a Wii (or whatever the universes equivalent is).
*Mondo Gecko gets an old Xbox and plays Tony )(awk games, Bully, and Twisted Metal on it.
*Ivan and Anton actually move out to New Jersey post show.
Tumblr media
*Alr, that's all for now, toodles!!!

I LOVE YOUR WORKS SO MUCH. 😭😭😭 YOUR BLOG HAS MY WHOLE HEART 💗
i know you must have a lot of requests, so feel free to deny this one if you don't feel like doing it, you matter the most! that being said, i am inlove with the yandere profile you made of Byakuya (danganronpa), he is LITERALLY my love and his yandere potential is just immaculate, could i request an one shot or headcanons of him and reader on the killing game? imagine that, reader tries to get closer to Byakuya since the first day, shes very nice and she likes him very much, shes always including him and talking to him, they're always hanging out, but we all know he is a asshole, so he was always kinda mean to reader, so imagine one day he says something particularly bad and Reader just stops hanging out with Byakuya to not bother him, and he just, "wait this isnt right, yknow, the old "Just knowing how you felt when you lose them."
anyway, feel completely free to deny, remember to drink water and eat, smoochh💗💗💗
TYSM! You’re so sweet to me!
Title: Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word
Pairings: Byakuya Togami x Reader
WARNINGS: Yandere themes
Summary: Byakuya might have lost you for good.
“What do I got to do to make you love me?
What do I got to do to make you care?
What do I do when lightning strikes me?
And awake to find that you're not there
What do I do to make you want me?
What do I got to do to be heard?”
- from “Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word” by Elton John
“Byakuya!”
The tall heir looked up from his breakfast, frowning deeply as you practically skipped over to him.
“Do you want to sit at the main table with the rest of us?” You asked hopefully. He didn’t know why you asked, when the answer was obvious. He never joined the large table with the rest of the students. He had no interest in doing so.
“No, now leave me alone. You’re disrupting my meal.” Byakuya snapped, eyes narrowing in annoyance.
You nodded, unfazed by his rudeness, “Okay, Byakuya. I’ll come sit by you in a little bit.”
Byakuya sighed loudly, “Please don’t.”
Despite his insistence, it tugged on his heart a little to see you sit at the main table with all the others, laughing and smiling at all they said and did. Even that plankton, Mondo, could earn your laughter.
After spending some time chatting with them, you went to sit by Toko, who picked nervously at her nails while sending looks Byakuya’s way. Disgusting. Why you would spend your time with that creature was beyond him.
But then it was his turn, and you took a seat at his table, excitedly smiling up at him. His lips curled downwards. Why did you insist on spending time with everyone? He couldn’t understand it.
“How are you doing, Byakuya?” You asked, trying to strike up a conversation. He kept quiet, refusing to answer your asinine question.
You pouted a little, trying to figure out how to get him to talk, “I saw you in the library earlier- what were you reading?”
Silence.
You leaned back in your chair. Byakuya found satisfaction in the fact that you no longer tried to converse with him, turning instead to your cereal.
In a way, he enjoyed the silence between you both. It was a comfortable kind of quiet, not awkward or tense at all. Sometimes, he felt like he could stay like this forever, just you and him sitting together.
But that was a stupid intrusive thought, one that he dismissed whenever it popped up.
He would never admit, not to you or anyone, that he secretly enjoyed his time with you.
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Byakuya!”
You poked your head through the library door, smiling brightly at him.
Byakuya peered at you over his book with narrowed eyes, biting back a sigh. There you were again, disturbing him.
“What are you reading?” You asked, slipping inside the room and approaching the stern male.
He felt a rush of annoyance, finally feeling himself snap, “Don’t you have anything else to do than be an annoyance, you insolent brat? Keep your nose out of my business and get lost!”
Your head snapped back as though you’d been slapped. An “oh” floated out of your mouth. Suddenly, your lip trembled and you hurried out of the room.
Byakuya lifted an eyebrow. You had never reacted like that to his retorts before.
He couldn’t ignore the sinking feeling in his stomach.
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were avoiding him.
It drove him crazy to watch you converse with everyone else normally but refuse to visit his table. To watch you turn on your heels every time he tried to approach you.
Didn’t you realize it was safer to stick together during this killing game? There had already been two deaths, more were sure to come soon. You were in danger- he could protect you.
He couldn’t bring himself to say “sorry”, he’s not sure he’s ever said that word in his life. But it broke his heart to watch you drift further and further away from him.
Maybe he’d have to show you just how much you needed his protection in this killing game.

Tell me anything and everything abt your headcanons and stuff for Mondo Owada, I'm all ears! He's one of my favorites so I'd love to hear what you think‼️
Thank you very much but you have no clue what you’ve just unleashed.
Fluff:
- Mondo’s maternal family originated from France, so French is his and Daiya’s first language. Of course, Mondo has never met his mother’s family… yet.
- Speaking of maternal family, anyone wanna take a guess as to what his mother’s maiden name is? Anyone? Too late, it’s Akamatsu.
- So yeah, Kaede is Mondo and Daiya’s little cousin. Kaede is about two or three years younger than Mondo, and she’s delighted to find her long lost cousin at her new high school.
- Due to having to fend for themselves at a young age, both Mondo and Daiya are really good cooks. The difference between them is that Mondo refuses to allow anyone else in the kitchen when he’s cooking. Think Gordon Ramsey but somehow even worse.
- Mondo will never admit to anyone that he likes to cook. God forbid you ask him to cook for you. Unless you’re sick or like really sad. He’ll tell you to never tell anyone though.
- Physical affection is not only his love language, it’s his way of life. Every time you see him, he’s leaning on or hugging one of his classmates. He’s like a really big cat.
- When he was a kid, Daiya couldn’t leave him alone for a moment, cause every time he came back Mondo would have befriended some random animal of prey. Daiya turns around and Mondo is cradling a Great Horned Owl in his arms like a baby.
- Mondo hasn’t been able to bring himself to have another pet since Chuck, so instead he co-parents everyone else’s pets. He’s already won over Celeste’s cat.
- Most of his childhood was spent around a pack of stray animals. One day, a cat curled up on his lap and started purring, and Mondo was like “heehee funny noise” and started mimicking it. Long story short, Mondo purrs as a stim.
- He’s the best adoptive big brother ever. Are you an only child, or just temporarily sad for some reason? Boom, Mondo’s your big brother now. No, no, don’t fight it.
- After befriending Kiyotaka, Mondo went to his French class for the first time in his school career. (He picked it because it was an easy A.) Listening to his teacher, he realized very quickly that she was not a native speaker, nor had she learned from a native speaker. He was quiet for a solid five minutes and then said, in perfect French, “What the fuck are you talking about??”
- Dyslexia makes it so that letters and words are hard for him to understand. But numbers? Ohoho he knows all about those little bitches! Because of this, he’s shockingly good at subjects like Algebra and Calculus.
Angst: (CW: Abandonment, dissociation, child abuse, neglect, violence)
- Mondo’s dad was a real piece of shit to both his wife and kids. Unfortunately, Moselle, his mother, could only find one way to cope with it. She dissociated to the point where she couldn’t recognize her children.
- Daiya and Mondo didn’t know what was wrong with her, so they always said that “Maman is just away.”
- While Daiya was busy trying to take care of his little brother, Mondo dedicated himself to taking care of their mother. Despite Moselle not being able to do much more than basic self-care, Mondo was convinced that she was just sick, and that they needed to help her get better.
- I won’t go into heavy details, but Mondo and Daiya ended up homeless. After the trauma of what he went through with his parents, Mondo went entirely nonverbal for several years.
- One day, while Daiya was away looking for a source of income, Mondo was mugged while alone. A shot through the shoulder left him on the floor looking for help. No one bothered until Officer Takaaki Ishimaru came along. He got Mondo to a hospital just in time.
- Because of nights spent outside, Mondo tends to get Wind Anxiety. When the wind blows fast enough to be heard from inside, Mondo automatically starts shivering. It doesn’t matter if he actually feels cold or not, it’s just an unfortunate muscle memory.
- Mondo doesn’t remember a lot about his childhood, but he finds he can’t forget what his mother’s face looked like just before her death. He refuses to sleep most days because his dreams are full of her eyes looking directly at him.
- Daiya doesn’t remember a thing, but Mondo refuses to remind him. He’d rather Daiya live in blissful ignorance than have him suffer the way Mondo has.
- Mondo still goes nonverbal sometimes, so he likes to wear a face mask. He looks intimidating in that, so no one tries to talk to him when he’s wearing it. Win-win.
- While the Crazy Diamonds is genuinely fun, it’s not a healthy environment for Mondo in the slightest. There’s a large minority of members who still think he’s too weak to be in the gang. They constantly try to pester and bully him into retiring early.
- It was even worse when Daiya was still in charge. Almost everyone hated him. He would get into fights, people would tell him that he should get into a crash and die so that they wouldn’t have to deal with him anymore. It was rough.
- Even so, Mondo stayed quiet about it. These people were like family to Daiya, and Mondo didn’t want to be the reason Daiya lost any more family. When Daiya asked why he’d come home with bruises all over, Mondo would blame it on a rival gang.
- The first time Hiroko met Mondo, she gave him a hug. She did that thing moms do, cradling the back of his head and neck with her hand protectively. Mondo absolutely melted.
Platonic Pairings:
Mondo + Kyoko:
- These two mean. So much to me.
- They are both black cat coded but in completely different ways. Like Kyoko is a mysterious and dark Witch’s Familiar, and Mondo is a moody dumbass who likes snuggles.
- Kyoko’s love language isn’t physical affection. But she spontaneously decides to cuddle with Mondo for an hour and a half to the second, and then silently leaves.
- Mondo joins Kyoko on her murder investigations sometimes. He contributes practically nothing, he’s just here to hang out. Kyoko appreciates his presence anyway.
Mondo + Chihiro:
- Okay this one’s just obvious.
- I don’t even think I need to say anything about this.
Mondo + Toko:
- Mwah. Delicious.
- I think that Mondo would hate the way Byakuya treats Toko, and would start aggressively defending her.
- He starts “training” her in order to try and get her confidence up.
- Like, Toko wears a rubber band around her wrist that Mondo snaps every time she self-deprecates. Pavlov her into positive self talk, y’know?
- Toko tells Byakuya to go fuck himself and Mondo stands in the background, wiping a tear from his eye.
Mondo + Celeste:
- Sibling energy frfr.
- They scream at each other in French, but would go to war for each other no questions asked.
- They shit-talk other people together.
- Celeste forces him to wear his hair down every now and again because “The big hair distracts from your pretty face!”
- Mondo points out that she’s a hypocrite. Celeste doesn’t care.
- These two fight so much but there’s no real animosity behind it. Not that anyone around them can tell. Everyone else thinks that they just plain hate each other.
Mondo + Gundham:
- Childhood friends. Hear me out.
- Mondo found a really sick stray puppy when he was little and rushed him to the vet. The vet said that since Mondo didn’t have any money, there was nothing they could do. Mondo was really upset.
- Baby Gundham came up behind them like “You foulest of fiends! It would seem your soul has been buried under stone, if you have it in you to turn away a creature in need. Worry not, mortal, for I, the great Gundham Tanaka, will help you restore this dark beast to its rightful glory!”
- Baby Mondo was like “Okay lol” and they both left.
- That’s how Mondo got Chuck.
Mondo + Mikan:
- Hoo boy!!
- Mondo is in the infirmary a lot due to obvious reasons, so it’s only natural that he would be friendly with the nurse.
- Every time Hiyoko or someone else tries to come in and bully Mikan, Mondo picks them up by the neck and throws them out.
- It’s gotten to the point where, even if Mondo isn’t there, Mikan will just tell people “If you won’t leave me alone, I’ll call Owada!” No one fucks with that.
- Overall, having Mondo’s protection is a huge confidence boost for her.
Kay there you go.

Oh I love HCs lol
If you don't mind me sharing, here are a couple of mine for IshiMondo;
Whenever they end up fighting over something, the conversations always derail into them just shouting things at each other. They don't understand how it happens, either. Just goes from "YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE TRASH WHEN I ASK YOU TO TAKE IT OUT!" to "MAYBE WE SHOULD GET SOME NUTELLA NEXT TIME WE GO TO THE STORE."
They are so awkward when it comes to actually dating. Neither of them thought they would get this far, so sometimes they end up making really awkward small talk, going beet red, then just opting to hold hands instead.
I think it'd be really funny if their relationship is extremely whirlwind. Based on how they become friends for life in less than a day, they'd probably end up married by the end of the week.
(Bonus points if they hardly realize they're dating, too. "Since when were you two dating?" "Dating? Oh, no, this is just what we bros do!" "Bros kiss each other on the lips..?")
Sometimes Mondo likes to randomly hug Taka just to make sure he's still there and that he's okay :)
They don't show much PDA not only because it's not appropriate in a school environment (hehe), but also because Mondo gets too embarrassed to actually do anything.
Mondo seems like the easily flustered type to me. It's just funny imagining him getting a quick kiss on the cheek from Taka as he's running off somewhere and being caught off guard so he just hides in his collar.
Taka sometimes says stuff that can be misconstrued as dirty, but he has no idea since he's rather naive when it comes to that sort of stuff. Mondo knows, though, and often refuses to elaborate on why he's laughing lol
Ok that was kind of a lot, sorry lol. I'll stop there.
Have a good day/night ^w^
ANOTHER ASK! THANKS FOR WRITING SO MUCH BTW I LOVE READING ABT THESE TWO!!
These are all super cute! And the head canon that they don't know how to romance is absolutely amazing given that Taka probably hasn't dated anyone before and Mondo has an 11 girl losing streak when it comes to asking girls out! Also i think Taka would be calmer with PDA while Mondo is a bit more expressive, if you know what I mean? He'd definitely be the kinda guy to hold hands with Taka a lot, and he doesn't miss an opportunity for a big ol bear hug, but that's only if there's not a lot of people around. They both silly and get embarrassed easily so they'd take it slow with PDA!
And they have fights like any couple but I feel like they wouldn't last long because they'd communicate really well and express their opinions and why they're upset! Plus the subject change you spoke about during their fights would happen, like, every time they got into one lmao.
GAH I JUST LOVE THIS ASK DUDE THNX FOR SUBMITTING IT ‼️‼️

Updated Danganronpa Headcanons
Made a post with these a while ago but I reorganized them and added more, so I figured I’d just repost them
Under the cut because there’s a lot
General Headcanons:
1. Maki has several bird feeders, squirrel feeders, and just other foods left outside for animals. She refills these everyday
2. Himiko has dwarfism
3. Tenko loves wearing pride stuff, like shirts and bows and bracelets and stuff
4. Angie was born on Rota (one of the Northern Mariana Islands), specifically in Songsong (the second largest village on Rota).
5. Miu bleached her hair
6. Miu loves watching cartoons
7. When Miu was a kid she was super hyperactive
8. Miu used to get so many little injuries and she never knew where they came from, she was always covered in bruises and bandaids
9. Miu used slurs because she didn’t know the meaning behind them, she assumed it was just another name for a group of people (she got corrected and is now working on it)
10. When Miu was younger she always wrote her name “Mew” because she liked Pokémon and loved the fact she sorta shared a name with one
11. When Kiyo thinks that someone “would be a good friend for sister”, he really means that he likes them and he thinks they would get along if he didn’t feel like he was cheating on his sister
12. Kiyo’s sister was more traditional, Kiyo almost always had traditional Japanese meals that she home made and was taught to dress conservatively, which was only enabled by his cooler body temperature bc illness
13. Kiyo really likes spaghetti but he is also a big fan of dry cheerios
14. Angie wishes her name was Angelica
15. Ryoma has the “Hang In There” poster
16. Kiyo wears anything as long as he’s covered, gender roles don’t phase him, only gendered terms (tis an unfortunate existence)
17. Kokichi knows morse code
18. Kaito and Shuichi have a “secret” handshake (it’s pretty simple and Kaito wants to use it everywhere), Maki refuses to join in on it
19. Hiro got the scar on his back from playing with raccoons when he was younger, he got along with most of them but sometimes they would attack him and he would cry because his friends hurt him
20. Hiro is Blasian, mom is from Japan and dad is African American
21. Tenko and Kiyo drive each other to therapy
22. Kiyo, Mikan, Toko, Mukuro, and Nagito all went to an inpatient together and had group therapy, they’re like a weird little family now
23. In this therapy family, Kiyo and Mukuro act most like siblings towards each other, Nagito is a very protective big brother, Mikan constantly fawns over the rest of them, and Toko likes to pretend they don’t exist because “they embarrass her”
24. Kyoko has a “Quote of the Day” book
25. Miu’s gaydar is absolute dogshit, she thought Rantaro was a straight man for a while
26. Maki loves accessories, but she is very embarrassed about it so she tries not to draw to much attention to it
27. She likes hair pins, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, rings, broaches, fancy hairties, scrunchies, fancy shoelaces, anklets, all that stuff
28. Most of her stuff is simple and silver, but she’s definitely gotten presents from the more observant people like Kaede, Kirumi, Rantaro, Ryoma, and even a ring from Kokichi (it’s a thin black and white striped band, but it was a peace offering from him so she wears it quite a bit)
29. Miu is scared of needles
30. Kiyo and Angie are best friends, it used to be just because Kiyo was fascinated by Angie but they ended up getting along very well
31. Chihiro knows tons of memes and is very into meme culture
32. Mondo used to go to plays and musicals with Daiya (they snuck in) and he is a very good actor because of post performance meetings
33. Mahiru loves taking photos of her friends
34. Izuru loves blankets and soft things
35. Kaito is scared of the dark and he has a bunch of glow in the dark stars and moons on his ceiling, he also has a bunch of stuffies (a lot of which have astronauts suits or other space things)
36. Ibuki has several younger siblings
37. Kokichi is an orphan and was at the same orphanage as Maki, they just never interacted much
38. Kokichi and Miu are friends, they just don’t seem like it to most people
39. No one from V3 kills bugs, they get Gonta to gently remove them from the premise (and sometimes he keeps them in his room)
40. Hiro has the self-assigned role of dad in their his friend group, he does cringey things like leaves messages in their lunch and talks as if he was like 20 years older than he is
41. Mikan’s stutter is from nervousness, but Toko’s is a real stutter
42. Fuyu is lactose intolerant which is why he hates milk, Peko never has anything with lactose in it because Fuyu can’t
43. This is actually why Peko got sick in chapter 1, she didn’t realize the food she ate had cheese in it and she was so not used to it so it made her stomach upset
44. Gundham isn’t vegan, but he is a vegetarian who pays very close attention to where he gets his food from. This is because he knows that many animals that have become live stock can suffer more if not used the way humans have bred them to. Also he knows that humans are omnivores and the circle of life just works like that.
45. Kyoko paints in her free time
46. Hifumi was bullied in school because of his looks which is why he got so into fandoms and fiction
47. Makoto and Komaru are impulsive huggers, Toko has been the most affected by this
48. Mahiru has a pet bird, maybe a duck or a chicken
49. Mahiru definitely goes to Gundham’s house with her bird
50. Kyoko is the rep for class 78, Chiaki is the rep for class 77, and Kirumi is the rep for class 80; much to Kyoko and Kirumi's displeasure, everyone just calls them the class mom
51. Yasuhiro is a vegan
52. Mukuro and the chicken are best friends
53. After Mikan gets a lot of therapy, she learns that her bullies actually caused her many permanent issues, such as slight deafness in her left ear, visual impairments, chronic back pain, and thousands of scars that didn’t get healed correctly (some of which were infected)
54. Celeste has a whip collection
55. Kokichi is a sugar addict
56. Hiyoko has like 6 cats, Mikan is heavily allergic to cats, Hiyoko loves when Mikan comes over because of this. Mahiru, not so much
57. Rantaro took in Shuichi as his little brother
58. Ahoges are meant to express emotions
59. During the tragedy Izuru saw the ROD as his children and took care of them (kinda-)
60. Kokichi’s whole personality was a lie in V3 and I’ll give my specifics for his real one. He’s caring to his friends and he’s very protective over his “family” (D.I.C.E.) he is very manipulative but he normally doesn’t use it for truly bad things, normally just pranks. He has trouble differentiating between reality and fantasy so he tends to be apathetic towards death. He’s super touch starved like he clings to people constantly. Also he lies less.
61. Kokichi got Kaito a fake plant as a prank once but he saw how happy Kaito was so he didn’t have the heart to tell him the truth, Kaito didn’t find out until Maki said something about it
62. Angie makes sculptures of her friends to bless them and to keep her company when she’s lonely
63. The WOH were informally adopted by Toko, Komaru, and Genocider
64. Yasuhiro has a candle collection
65. Izuru likes flowers, Kotoko would make him flower crown’s
66. Makoto has a bracelet with a 4 leaf clover in it that he wears for assessments and meetings for good luck
67. Hiro forces the THH survivors gang to do his daily prayers with him
68. Sonia and Gundham visit King and Queen Nevermind monthly and King Nevermind loves the Dark Devas of Destruction
69. Kaito is a feminist
70. Chihiro and Chiaki are siblings
71. Sometimes Chihiro helps Chiaki program mods for the video games she likes and it’s a fun sibling bonding experience
72. Tenko has done some serious work to get over her misandrist beliefs
73. Gundham, Sonia, Ryoma, and Peko all help at and make constant donations to many animal shelters
74. Classes 77 and 78 all went to Kotoko’s first performance after she felt comfortable enough to try out, this made her feel much less anxious
75. Same thing with all of the WOH, Jataro’s first diorama showcase and Masaru’s first game
76. Nagisa and Monaca don't really have any events they go to
77. Celeste has a music box that she uses to calm down
78. Ibuki and Ultimp are often questioned about whether they are dating or not and have to constantly say no
79. Sometimes class 77 holds big uno tournaments and Nagito or Chiaki always win and Fuyuhiko always flips the table
80. This actually reminds quite a few people that despite the fact Fuyu is small and looks cute he is extremely strong
81. Ibuki has heterochromia, her right eye is the pink we see in the game and her left eye is the blue of her hair streaks
82. Tsumugi will often copy sprite poses from the DR1 characters without realizing it
83. Souda and Miu and siblings, we know that their father wasn’t great but (I think) their mother wasn’t mentioned, so I’m using her as the explanation for all their sexual and romantic…creepiness?
84. Kiyo has the same disease as his sister but just a less intense form, he has a bad immune system and is very unfit
85. Mahiru takes lots of photos of Hiyoko dancing
86. Shuichi is sometimes a mannequin for Tsumugi (most often against his will)
87. Izuru would often stay with Nagito and the WOH
88. Rantaro goes to all of Kiyo and Angie’s meetings/outings/rituals to make sure it doesn’t get too out of hand
89. DR1 was Tsumugi’s favorite season without question
90. Genocider uses her hands a lot when talking, she also likes to play (literally) with her hair when she’s bored
91. Hiyoko loves playing ddr
92. Mahiru loves watermelons
93. Chihiro smells likes oranges because of a perfume he has been using for year’s
94. In the tragedy world, Class 77 all does something special for Chiaki as a memorial
95. Sonia loves strawberry milk
96. Mikan’s favorite animal is a bunny
97. Hifumi used to have a body shape more akin to Princess Piggles, but after years of using food as a coping mechanism and also it being a cheap way to sustain himself, he gained extra weight
98. Hifumi was very happy to see a strong character with his body type when he was younger, which is why he loves Princess Piggles so much (idk if this is canon or not but I figured I’d say it here just in case)
99. Sonia and Ibuki like to mess around with different clothing aesthetics
100. Rantaro brings Kiyo on trips and vice versa and they use it as an escape from the stress of life
101. Kiyo loves all of Rantaro’s sisters in a familial way and they really helped him gain a positive female influence
102. After Kiyo got out of the inpatient he used things he learned to help Rantaro with his depression since Rantaro doesn’t wanna go to therapy
103. Rantaro often helps Kiyo with feeling masculine
104. Komaru got glowing jewelry for her and Toko on their first date so then Toko can be less scared of the dark, Toko hates the jewelry but wears it because she loves Komaru (she tells her it’s just because of the dark tho)
105. Rantaro listens to Kiyo info dump for hours and pays very close attention, sometimes they'll even add some info that they've learned
106. Rantaro got Kiyo into the mental hospital and checked on him daily until he was let out
107. Shuichi finds mysteries kind of boring but likes romances, he’s very embarrassed about this but Kokichi teases him relentlessly
108. Maki got Shuichi and Kaito necklaces with a sun (for Kaito) and a moon (for Shuichi) for their anniversary
109. Kokichi is hardly ever not on Gonta, piggyback rides, sitting on his shoulder, swinging from his arm (he's worried Kokichi will fall off), etc.
110. Ryota and Imposter help each other with their eating disorders
111. Chiaki and Mikan take scheduled naps together
112. Tenko once threw like 20 people when she lost Himiko in a crowd
Nuerodivergent Headcanons:
1. Ibuki has ADHD, she needs stimulation mostly with her mouth, fingers, and hearing
2. Kiyo has autism
3. Genocider developed as a defensive alter, she loves Toko (in her own weird way) and pretends to hate her so Toko doesn’t get embarrassed or bullied
4. When Mikan gets depressive she braids her hair
5. Kokichi stims with arm flaps and jumping
6. Ibuki stims with hand flaps, spins, and tapping her arm/leg like she’s playing a keyboard
7. Kaito stims by hitting his fists or wrists together
8. When Akane gets bored in class she draws food on her body with a sharpie, this causes her to get scars and ink poisoning so Mikan sees her a lot
9. Miu has ADHD, hence her grotesque language (impulsivity) and her sensitivity to insults (RSD)

18. Kiyo has one strand of curly hair bc he twirls it to stim when he’s focusing
19. Junko has DID, it was mostly repressed for all her life but during the tragedy she kinda let it out, however they’re all still developing and she’s still semi-convinced it’s because she gets bored of her personality
20. Taka has autism
21. Gundham has autism
22. Chiaki has narcolepsy
23. Along with everything else, Nagito has ASPD (anti-social personality disorder)
24. Kaito has ADHD

Idk if this has been requested, but au for thh where alter ego is the one pulling the strings and their motivation would be that it and chihiro share memories and meanwhile chihiro’s view is bias with her point of view of the situation, with him giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, alter ego looks at thing more directly and this being their entire point of view when it comes to the world, decides that they must teach the world a lesson while keeping chihiro safe at all cost so that they can have the perfect utopia all for herself.
(also this would be a chapter two never happens au since alter ego would be trying to help chihiro at all cost and would not let him die like that so ishimondo is thriving and chihiro is here to witness the mess they accidentally created)
I think I got this :3
Chihiro had managed to get his memories into Alter Ego’s knowledge bank, giving it all the information it needed. Somehow, Alter Ego took this to mean it had to protect Chihiro at all costs.
After all, Chihiro gave people the benefit of the doubt. Alter Ego knew that that was flawed judgment, so it needed to punish the world and essentially create a perfect space.
Chihiro was none the wiser, living through the killing game and growing with his classmates- Alter Ego refused to call them Chihiro’s friends. Did they even really know each other?
When it came time for the reveal at the end, Chihiro had no idea what was going to happen. He thought that it had to be someone else- how could something of his creation do something like that?
He nearly broke down right then and there, hardly held up by Mondo and Taka. Was it his fault? Was there something fault in Alter Ego’s data? What could he even do?

Neo World: Pacification Program
Hello everyone, Dense here! This story, Neo World: Pacification Program, wasn't a solo effort. @thelewdpokemanik and I have been working, and intend to continue working on this story together. We're writing each chapter as a pair, so forgive us if you sometimes notice some differences between our two styles of writing.
You can also find this story, and stay the most updated on it, on AO3, which can be found here.
The idea for this story was born out of the desire to work on a story together, and after brainstorming we came up with this! We found the idea to be fun and unique, and decided to just throw ourselves at it and enjoy the ride.
As always, comments, kudos and whatever else you desire are never required, but we do love getting the feedback.
Without further ado, Poke and Dense present, Neo World: Pacification Program! We hope that you all enjoy this journey with us. <3
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chapter One: Problems, Planning, Pacification
“How the hell did this happen?” Mondo screamed, slamming his fist on the arm of his chair, making the metal creak painfully. His voice bounced off the walls of the mechanical operation room housing the Neo World Program computer, which really, was a gross understatement. It was a true marvel of technological advancement, including all the monitors, storage banks, the pods containing the sleeping members of his senior class- and many more things Makoto couldn’t even hope to understand.
The biker was hunched in his seat as if he were prepared to lunge if he didn’t like the answer, though Makoto knew better.
He still grimaced in his seat. “We- aren’t sure? I mean, obviously, one of the Remnants must have brought the virus with them, but…”
“We don’t exactly have the Ultimate Programmer here with us to follow along with the Neo World Program’s code,” Celeste said, ignoring the way Mondo twitched at her words. The biker had never gotten over Chihiro’s death at Toko’s hands, and honestly, there was a very real chance he would never move on. Well, it's not like Makoto had any room to talk, of course.
The only reason he could count the number of deaths he hadn’t gotten over on his hands was because only ten students had died during the Killing Game. Their Killing Game now.
Because there might very well be a second one soon.
“No doubt, that Izuru fellow had ulterior motives in helping us. I said he wasn’t trustworthy from the start, but of course, someone wouldn’t listen to reason…” The gambler said, shooting Makoto a look many would call venomous, but Makoto could see that while frustrated, there was next-to-no anger there.
“We wouldn’t have been able to find and capture all the Remnants without his help, Celeste, you know that. And Chiaki vouched for him, didn’t she?”
Indeed, Chiaki Nanami, the Ultimate Gamer and former Class Representative of Class 77, had vouched for the mysterious Ultimate. She had also been the one to approach Makoto, asking for his help saving her classmates, though he couldn’t say he understood why she trusted him in particular with this. It could have been that he was the Ultimate Hope, or maybe that he was the unofficial leader of the surviving class of Junko’s game. He didn’t know why she chose him over any of his other classmates. He did however know that the rest of Future Foundation would have categorically refused, if not outright arrested her for even proposing this, where he was eager to help.
Of course, things had escalated since then.
And that was before Monokuma came back, somehow.
Celeste clicked her tongue. “That girl is too much like you, Makoto. She would vouch for her killer as she bled to death.”
Makoto laughed awkwardly at that, though he hardly felt jovial. This was worse than what he’d thought the worst-case scenario would be.
“So, what do we know?” Kyoko’s calm voice sounded through the laptop’s speaker.
The detective was working in concert with Sakura, helping keep the heat off the other survivors as they went MIA with the Remnants- no, with Class 77.
“Well, things were working properly in the beginning. Usami was taking care of the students, and as expected, Izuru was replaced by his former self, Hajime Hinata. Chiaki did warn us that this would happen, so...” Makoto explained half-heartedly, his mind still focused on the issue at hand.
“So the likelihood that it is relevant is minor,” Kyoko nodded along, also focused on the more pressing issue. “What then?”
“Well, Monokuma appeared.” Makoto explained, trying to ignore the pit in his stomach he’d felt at the sight. For a moment, he’d almost thought it a nightmare if not for the way Celeste’s clawed hand had been digging into his shoulder like a talon.
“But wasn’t Usami supposed to be armed to deal with viruses and attacks?” Sakura’s calm voice asked from Kyoko’s monitor. “What came of that?”
“Monokuma overpowered her, somehow. He stole her administrator privileges and, uh, repainted her and is calling her ‘Monomi’. As far as we can tell, her actual AI hasn’t been affected in this process, probably for him to enjoy her suffering.” Makoto explained, only for Celeste to jump in.
“We’ve confirmed that Monokuma was attacked by the rabbit in some fashion, but none of us here can actually decipher what Fujisaki and Gekkogahara’s work does.” Celeste shot Makoto a smirk then. “I suppose all we can do is Hope it’ll be enough.”
The Ultimate Hope groaned. Ever since Celeste had called him that on live television, it had, effectively, become his official title, and the gambler was more than happy to tease him about it at every opportunity. Not to mention teasing him in other ways…
Makoto shook off his blush and cleared his throat. “Yeah. Usami seems to have done something during their fight, but what exactly, we really can’t tell…”
Kyoko hummed for a moment, before continuing. “Monokuma took over the program, but to what extent?”
Makoto grimaced again. “Almost completely. Usami’s been completely depowered, we can’t interfere at all with what’s happening inside- Though, we still have access to the cameras and can import stuff in-”
“You. Will. Not. Enter that simulation, Makoto Naegi. I forbid it,” Celeste said, her voice cold as ice, and Makoto felt his blood run cold. “No doubt that bitch left those untouched expressly to make you jump in like the self-sacrificing idiot you are.”
Yeah… Celeste still hadn’t forgiven him for not throwing Kyoko under the bus during Junko’s staged trial. At least, she hadn’t tried to kill him.
Makoto could still clearly see the scar Celeste had left on Kyoko’s face with her claw on her monitor. The pale line went from the corner of her mouth, and stretched out to just under her cheekbone, pulling slightly whenever Kyoko spoke.
Kyoko didn’t seem to bregrudge Celeste for it however. ‘I have worse scars’ she’d once said, ‘and this one I deserve.’
Celeste’s choice of words had been a lot less…diplomatic. ‘Should’ve taken the lying whore’s tongue with it.’ or, something to that effect…
Makoto chose not to linger on it, honestly. He had lost too many friends to begrudge those that had survived.
“I agree.” Sakura said, followed by Kyoko’s silent nod.
“Guys…” Makoto tried to plead his case, that he wasn’t actually that bad-
“If he tries, I’ll tie him down to his chair,” Mondo promised, making Celeste scoff.
“You won’t touch him, you brute. No, if Makoto does anything stupid, he’ll answer to me.”
The luckster couldn’t quite hide his wince at that. Celeste could kill a man with her words, but never did they cut so deep as when she tried to imprint on Makoto that she was going to find a way to stop him from passing on before the rest of them. It always hurt to know he worried her so much, especially when he could see the tears held back tightly just behind her mask.
And it’s not like Makoto wanted to sacrifice himself or anything. He’d be perfectly happy never putting his life in danger again, thank you very much.
But on the other hand, he was incapable of refusing to offer his help when someone needed it. Not that he wanted to be the kind of person who would, in all honesty.
Anyway.
“Celeste, you said ‘that bitch’ earlier?” Kyoko asked, bringing the conversation back on topic (thankfully for Makoto). “Then, do you think…”
“That this is one of Enoshima’s ploys? Obviously. It’s got her name written all over this.”
“But- she’s dead, right?” Mondo asked, and Makoto nodded definitively.
Though he hadn’t seen her corpse himself, well…
The Remnants had brought enough pieces back to remove any doubt he might’ve had.
“Yes, but I don’t think she was stupid enough to actually stop her planning at her death. No, Enoshima is far too clever for that.” Celeste said, a note of begrudging respect in her voice that Makoto could only agree with.
Junko was many things. Insane, sado-masochistic, cruel, self-destructive-
But most of all, she was intelligent. Incredibly so.
If she wanted to plan something like this, even something that would only come to pass after her death, she definitely could.
“But how, is the question.” Sakura said. “Fearsome as Junko is, she cannot rise from the dead.”
Hopefully.
“No. But she has spent many years in the same class as the Ultimate Programmer as he developed Alter Ego technology, and was familiar with the Ultimate Neurologist.”
Kyoko’s voice almost seemed like it deafened Makoto for a moment as her words shot through him.
“Are you saying- Junko…”
“Made an Alter Ego herself? I don’t know. But I think it is a very real possibility, especially since she has been known to be very adept with technology in the past. It would explain how efficiently she took over the simulation. If Usami wasn’t fighting one AI, but two…”
Mondo’s jaw was tightly set. “Then it was two on one, and Usami couldn’t fight back.”
“She did manage to infect the Monokuma AI with something, so to say she was powerless would be false, but whether or not she was effective…” Sakura let the sentence hang.
She didn’t need to say it for everyone to understand.
“All we can do is wait, regrettably.” Celeste finally said, and Makoto found himself squirming slightly.
Yeah… Nothing anyone could do.
“Well, I suppose we’ll have to see. Makoto, Celeste, please keep us abreast of the situation as it evolves. As of now, it seems like the Killing Game has yet to begin, but that could change at any moment.” Kyoko said, and Makoto wanted to jump up and say there was no chance it would begin at all-
But he knew better, sadly.
“I’ll make sure Yasuhiro is informed about the situation discreetly.” Kyoko added, and Makoto nodded absent-mindedly.
Hiro was still in the heart of Future Foundation, working and acting as if nothing was wrong at all.
He was ideally placed to learn about Future Foundation’s movements, but it also meant that all of his communications were heavily scrutinized- no doubt Kyoko would need to sneak the message to him somehow. It also meant that, under no circumstances could Hiro hint at knowing Jabberwock Island even existed, and especially not send a message here.
After a few perfunctory goodbyes, Mondo stomped back outside the room, no doubt looking to take out his anger on something or other, while Makoto sagged back in the chair he’d been occupying a few hours ago when Monokuma first appeared.
God, what a nightmare…
Makoto looked into the screen in front of him, jumping from camera to camera and observing the 16 students who were now stuck inside the game he’d only just escaped with his life a few months ago.
And there was nothing he could do to help except hope for the best.
Unbidden, Makoto’s eyes drifted to the second monitor, the one showing the drives of the Neo World Program.
He’d gone through them wildly when Monokuma first appeared, but he could barely understand what was in it, let alone figure out what had changed.
Though, there was one thing he’d recognized, if only because it was possibly labeled explicitly for him, or whoever was using the program when something went wrong.
“So? What’s your backup plan?” Celeste asked from the seat next to him, making him jump.
“Gah! C-Celeste!? Wh-What are you talking about!?” Makoto tried to deny it, but Celeste only smiled at him.
“You’re hiding something, Makoto, and not very well. Not that you can hide anything from me of course.” Was that a note of smugness in her voice?
But it was true that Celeste could read him like a book. Maybe that was the price to pay for him to be able to see past her mask himself.
Makoto sighed, before navigating the drive back to the simply named folder he’d found earlier today.
‘In Case Of Usami Failure!’
And inside that folder was a single program, and a text document, which Makoto opened, before sliding his chair out of the way for Celeste to read herself.
“Thank you very much~” Celeste said, leaning over Makoto and making him blush as he felt her body pressing into him lightly as she read.
He looked away, though his eyes struggled to find where to land for a moment, before he eventually closed them, not needing to read the file again.
He’d done so again, and again, and again already.
‘Hello! If you’re reading this .txt file, then this must mean something went wrong that Usami failed to fix! Depending on what or why, you might need to take matters into your own hands! If you do, here’s what you need!
In this folder, you will find a .exe program! It is functionally the same thing as the Pacification Program Usami carries with her, except you can direct it yourself, should the need arise. To do so, all you must do is boot up the .exe, and navigate through the island using the 3D render the program offers. Simply select a target, and focus the Pacification Program to whatever intensity may be needed.
This does of course come with risks, so please take care to use this responsibly. The subjects inside of this program are treated as ‘rogue code’ by the Pacification Program, and this can affect the Rehabilitation Program the Neo World Program’s foundation rests on. As it is designed to do in the worst-case scenario, the program will first move to pacify the malicious code to prevent it from further harming the Neo World. From there it will attempt to alter the base coding of the target into something more useful for the system moderator.
The Pacification Program is relatively untested, and it should only be used in the case of an extreme emergency! If at all possible, contact technical support before resorting to this option. Love love <;3’
Makoto only had to wait a moment before Celeste’s eyes turned back toward him, the rubies glinting with intelligence as she took her seat again, her hands folded in her lap primly.
“So?” She asked, and Makoto grimaced.
“I tried using it on Monokuma, but it couldn’t select him as a target. Maybe it’s because he’s not an original part of the program, or maybe it's because Usami did manage to infect him and he can’t be targeted again or something. I tried using the 3D map to search the island, but it’s literally changing as I navigate it, and some parts are completely closed off and inaccessible, like the ruins. As far as I can tell, it isn’t really useful in this situation.”
Celeste’s smile widened a fraction. “If you believed that, you wouldn’t be so bothered by it.”
Makoto smiled shakily. “You know me too well…”
“Fufufu~ Oh, Makoto, you couldn’t be more wrong~” Celeste slightly teased him, but her eyes were still serious.
“Well, I tested the program for a little bit. It all seems focused on calming people down, making them more compliant, less aggressive, etc. I can target everything on the island with it, except for Monokuma, as I said. I think it works just as it's advertised, making sure conflicts don't happen on the island.”
Makoto paused for a moment, staring back at Celeste’s pale face.
“If- the worst came to pass, I was thinking maybe I could use it to stop things from- happening?” Makoto winced at his own words as he tried to tip-toe around actually saying what he was worried about.
“You think you could use this Pacification Program to stop a murder, should it come to that?”
“It shouldn't have to, but- I know better than that. My hope is that if one of them does fall to that temptation, I can stop it before it's too late, save them where I- '' Makoto choked on the words before they finished leaving his mouth.
Where I couldn't save them before.
The words were left unsaid, but both knew what he had been getting at. The loss of their friends still weighed heavy on all of the survivors, and him more so than anyone else.
His guilt cut him deeper than anyone else’s did, his heart almost bleeding out of his chest sometimes, and Celeste no doubt recognized the pain he felt so vividly still. He wore his emotions on his sleeve, always had, and now was no different.
He took a deep breath, and slowly let it out, letting his shoulders fall with it. “Like I said, I hope I won’t have to use it, and not only because I want to believe in them, but also because, well, I’m not a genius. I think I can figure it out, but I’m sure there’s a reason it's supposed to be for emergencies only. On the other hand…”
“If this isn’t an emergency, then what is, hm?” Celeste finished the thought, a clawed finger resting on her chin, her eyes still drilling into Makoto.
For a moment, the pair sat in silence, only disturbed by the simulated ambience coming through the cameras and the sound of machinery all around them.
It was strange how things happened.
When Makoto had first met Celeste, he had only felt deceit and danger coming from her, and had actively feared being left alone with her, lest she somehow manage to talk him out of all of his worldly possession, or worse, into a game of mahjong.
But now, sitting next to her, on the run from what now stood as the government, harboring fugitives on a deserted island and hoping they would survive, he wasn’t sure there was anyone he trusted more.
O-Of course, he trusted all of his friends from Class 78! No doubt about that! Mondo had sworn to protect him more than once, and Sakura had been ready to lay her own life down to save them all. Hiro might act like a doofus, but even now, he worked at the heart of Future Foundation to help them, and though Kyoko might act cold, he knew that she cared for all of them deep down.
Though she might’ve not trusted him as he trusted her in the past, it was the past, truthfully. Kyoko had changed, and seen the error of her ways. Even now, she was trusting them with this project, when all of their lives may very well lie in the balance.
But still, sitting here with Celeste, he felt, at peace, almost.
As if anything was possible.
Even beating Junko for a second time, and stopping a tragedy from repeating itself.
Makoto took another deep breath. “Thanks for volunteering to stay with me here, Celeste.”
The girl’s pale face split into a smile. “Well, if you do feel so grateful, maybe you’d like to pay me back~”
Makoto’s face exploded into a blush as Celeste teased him, again, and he turned away from her to instead focus on the monitor.
Another round of camera checks told Makoto that all of Class 77 was sleeping in bed. Which was normal, of course. The simulated time matched the time on the real island, and it was approaching- wow, two in the morning?
Well, Makoto had been very busy thus far, of course, but still.
He swallowed a yawn and blinked, hard.
“Are you planning to stay here all night?” Celeste asked, only half-surprised.
“Well, night time is dangerous, right? You’re the one who introduced the night time rule, Celeste.” Makoto said, but Celeste only rolled her eyes.
“Of course you are. What, are you planning to stay awake forever?”
Makoto looked away. “Of course not, but…”
But Makoto simply didn’t know when to leave. What if the moment he abandoned his vigil something happened? Should he sleep when the students went to bed? But that would also be when they were at their most vulnerable, wasn't it? Should he sleep during the day then? But that didn't seem right either, wouldn't that be when most of them were out and about?
“You are ridiculous, Makoto. The worst possible outcome is you falling asleep unexpectedly.”
“No, the worst possible outcome is me failing these people and letting the Killing Game start again.” Makoto snapped, only to immediately regret his harsher tone.
For a moment, a more uncomfortable silence reigned in the operating room, and Makoto felt as if he had something stuck in his throat, at least until Celeste stood up, and laid her hand on his shoulder.
“Go to sleep, Makoto. No one will make a move so soon. We can arrange a schedule tomorrow, and make sure one of us is always watching in the future.” Celeste said softly, and Makoto felt his unknowingly tense shoulders sagging.
He wanted to try and justify staying up, but he was cut off by another yawn, making Celeste giggle.
“As usual, your body is incredibly honest~” Celeste said, and Makoto felt a blush rise to his cheeks as her fingers rolled on his shoulder for a moment, before pulling at him lightly. “Come on. Walk me to my room, hm? You’d be a failure of a knight to not escort your lady.”
Makoto couldn’t stop his tired chuckle. “Alright, alright. I’m coming.”
As Makoto stood up, he couldn’t help but agree with his earlier thought.
He really was glad Celeste was here with him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They'd won, but it sometimes didn’t feel that way. He bore the pain of ten lives lost, the grief that came from losing them. Though unlike his fellow survivors, he even mourned the final loss of their game. For as much wrong as she did, he had wished, still did in many ways, that he could have saved Junko from her own pit of despair.
Her laugh, even if it sounded hollow, the proclamation that despair made Junko everything she was, all before she sealed her own fate. She'd never given him the chance to argue against it, and sometimes he chose to believe it was that she knew he would have succeeded. Makoto never had that chance, and she put herself through a gauntlet of despair, every execution she ever inflicted on their classmates, all in one bundle for her to face.
Yes, even her death hung heavy upon him, though not the heaviest of their losses, not nearly the heaviest.
When Mukuro took Byakuya's life, it pained him the same way. He'd never managed to break through Byakuya's shell, not as much as he wanted. He'd never really known who Mukuro truly was, but he always saw glimpses of the true girl buried beneath the disguise she wore.
She'd told him once she held out hope that he would stop Junko, though she never said her name, she never had the chance before she was dragged away to her own punishment. He still couldn't understand why she chose Byakuya as her victim, what of his demeanor screamed a traitor even Mukuro didn't know of.
He always blamed himself though, like Mukuro was protecting him from Byakuya's consistently cruel comments. Every time they visited him at night they didn't hesitate to remind him of that.
Makoto would never claim they were alone, they all blamed him, just as much as he did. Kiyotaka, Hifumi, Leon, they visited on occasion, not as much as the others, not that he felt the bitter sting of their loss any less.
He should have noticed the way Hifumi was breaking down, the longer they stayed, the lessening grip on reality. Yet he didn't, he spent less time with Hifumi than any other member of his class, and that was something he could have, no should have changed.
As Hifumi broke down, his reality became incomprehensible, a merge of his stories, his adoration of all things 2D, and utter despair of not having his crutch. He supposed Alter Ego had been the boy's tipping point, nobody there to ground him, he fell into the trap of viewing Alter Ego as a living, breathing person, and refused to let go.
Asahina suggesting they use the AI, sophisticated as it was to break down Monokuma, was the final nail in both of their coffins. She had become a threat to the only thing keeping Hifumi's fragile hold on his own sanity, and it took more than just the pair down with him. Kiyotaka was just an unfortunate accident to make everything worse.
Long after Asahina had lost her life, after Hifumi had bloodied his hands, Kiyotaka found him. If Makoto had known, if he had been there to stop him, he'd still be here. He could have stopped their fight, talked them down, Hifumi would never have fallen, and Kiyotaka wouldn't have faced execution.
The moral compass that man possessed would never have allowed him to let it lie. A simple confrontation to stop Hifumi from doing what he didn't know had already been done. It was far too late, and Hifumi was far too gone.
Makoto may not know exactly how it happened, but he certainly knew the outcome, a single fall down a staircase, the wrong landing on a bannister, and an execution of a man who hadn't intended any harm. Three lives lost because he wasn't there when he needed to be.
Toko was always the one who found humor in that, despite Makoto finding none. She always found the death of a friend funny, well not Toko precisely. Her crippling case of a split personality found twisted enjoyment in it, or Makoto imagined she did. Her hands weren't clean of blood, and she didn't think twice about reminding him that he had stained his own with hers.
If he had just been more understanding, pushed harder for Chihiro to trust him. If he had just truly befriended the scared boy, she never would have had such an easy target. If he had been able to show that their secrets were always safe, Toko would never have sunk into herself further than ever, her other self never would have been let free.
Toko finding out that her perfect prey was right in front of her, no longer in control? It was a spark in the powder keg, and she was never coming back from the explosion that ensued. No, he had failed them, and they paid the ultimate price for it.
Yet still, they never hurt the worst, no they never could. While he had believed he could have done more, he knew that in truth, it was always a pipe dream. Blaming himself for what was mostly out of his control.
They weren't. That was his failure, the trump card of his nightmares. Whenever he saw that fiery red hair, or heard that sickeningly sweet laugh, that was when it hurt the most. Why shouldn't it? It was the first of his many failures, but more than that it was the only one that he knew he could have done more.
Yes, Sayaka Maizono was his biggest regret, his biggest failure, his most painful memory. The videos were such a simple motive, yet they were the most effective. He remembered it clear as day, holding her in his arms as she shed every tear she could, and he didn't even say anything that made it better, not truly.
Yet he didn't pay for that failure, Leon took on that debt.
If Makoto had stayed with Sayaka that night, neither of them would have been hurt, they'd be safe. He knew she was scared and he left her, yet that wasn't what truly sealed their fates.
No, it was still Sayaka's plan. He believed he'd helped her, but he should have known better. He should have known from the way she spoke that she was lying to him. Of course he didn't, he was too blind to the truth, he cared too much, trusted with too much, and left as she had asked.
Their fate was that which haunted him the most. The ring of a doorbell, a plan set in motion, a shower to dread cleansing himself in.
He could never truly know what happened that night. He could deduce, extrapolate, hope, imagine, fear- but never really know.
Still, he’d seen the scene in his nightmares so frequently he could almost believe it was undeniable truth.
Sayaka’s fear, her guilt, her resolve as she played him for a fool, planning to make him take the fall for him.
Was it relief she felt when Makoto agreed to switch rooms? Or maybe resignation?
And when she wrote those words, invited Leon to his room- did she know she was starting the Killing Game? Did she care?
She could’ve stopped there, couldn’t she? Could’ve tore the letter to shreds and flushed it down the toilet in the morning, and no one would’ve known.
Or maybe the moment she began writing, she had already chosen her path.
Maybe it was the moment she met Makoto deep into the night.
Maybe it was the moment the Killing Game rules were announced.
Makoto couldn’t know. He would never be able to know. That was the cruel finality of death.
Still, the thoughts haunted him, and nightmares regarding Sayaka, not to mention all of his other friends plagued him.
But this wasn’t a nightmare.
This was reality.
A cruel trick, a tragedy repeating itself right in front of his eyes.
Makoto stared unseeingly at the monitor as Nagito walked away from the Ultimate Impostor’s cabin, having just slipped a note under his door, an hour before the morning announcement.
His fingers felt numb as he gripped the desk in front of him like a buoy, the only thing stopping him from falling off his chair and drowning in a sea of despair.
“Makoto. Breathe.” Celeste said next to him, her hand digging into the flesh of his arm, and Makoto’s lungs felt like they would explode as he breathed in shakily.
“Wh-What-” Makoto’s voice broke for a moment, and he cleared his throat. “What does the letter say?”
Celeste paused for a moment, hesitating, before navigating the cameras, though her hand never left him, for which he was thankful. He needed the anchor, desperately.
Celeste found the Impostor’s room camera, and paused again.
“Celeste?”
She grit her teeth.
“‘Be careful. The first kill will happen tonight. Someone will definitely kill someone.’”
Makoto could almost smell the faint smell of lavender in the air, and for a moment, he was back on those trial grounds, listening to Kyoko explain Sayaka’s plan.
Celeste’s nails bit into his flesh through his suit.
No. No, he couldn’t allow this to happen.
Numbly, he navigated the drives, and found the Pacification Program folder once more, only to pause when Celeste pulled at him.
His eyes met hers, only to come face-to-face with her full trust, and Makoto couldn’t help but relax, just a little bit.
She didn’t say anything. Only nodded, once, seriously, which Makoto returned, first tiredly, but then resolved.
No, he would stop this Killing Game from starting. He had to.
His free hand left the desk, and instead settled on Celeste’s own hand, feeling her cold fingers under his.
“I can't let this happen.” She hadn't questioned him, but he provided an answer anyway.
“I would never suggest you did, I know better than that. Always the noble knight.” Her soft tone was a warming comfort he needed, even if only a few words.
With a tightened determination settling in his chest, he drew his eyes back to the computer screen. The debate they could have had about this decision was solved before it ever truly began.
He wouldn’t allow Nagito to kickstart the Killing Game. He wouldn’t allow anyone to do so.
And when he opened the Pacification Program, it was with resolve and hope bolstering his heart.

Disclaimer: This is a comment on a surface level understanding of a situation that I saw happen on youtube. If you know more than I do, feel free to tell me, but be polite about it please!
This is about Brad Mondo, a hairstylist on youtube who is well known for his "hairdresser reacts" videos. Anyone who sees him would say "that's a gay man." And he has said he's in the queer community. But somewhat recently, he has talked about having a girlfriend. He has a video out called "styling my girlfriend's hair" and has a podcast episode about how he and his girlfriend got together. I have not seen the second video, and have only seen part of the first.
Now what irked me was that under the "styling my girlfriend's hair" video, people were saying "this is an april fools day joke, right?" and "brand mondo in his straight era, wow." And it ticked me off because it's BI ERASURE!!!
Is he bi? Is he pan? Is he, as I've heard some queer people say, gay with an exception? I don't know! I don't know him, or claim to know him. I have no idea what his sexuality is. But what I do know is that people see an man who likes men and refuse to believe he could ever show interest in a woman. That it's impossible, or makes him a liar, or have deceived them.
Bi and pan men exist. They are valid. They can date women while still being queer and still being attracted to men. Stop looking down on them or calling them straight!!!
I just needed to get that out. He can be a flamboyant, effeminate man and still date a woman. It's possible. And it's not a bad thing. He can do whatever the fuck he wants forever when it comes to sexuality and you can too!

Cleanup AU for Trigger Happy Havoc because I'm unwell and love fictional reality checks and angst:
Everything is the same, except that remaining students are responsible for cleaning up crime scenes + executions. This rule* is introduced casually in the Gym after Sayaka's body is found (I forgot the exact scene but it's right before Spears of Gungnir). Monokuma says it's a students job to take care of their surroundings or something, but really it's just to fill them with despair. Bodies are to be left in the gym and will be collected by Monokuma.
*Technically students don't have to clean up crime scenes but if they don't they will remain intact. Face your peers or be reminded of them daily.
I'm not a writer + intimately aware of how each student thinks/acts so please don't bite my head off! She/they pronouns for Chihiro.
"Welp! Looks like you have 2 students to clean up after!" Everyone is too shocked and scared to approach Mukuro's body. Mondo drapes his jacket over her to stop everyone from gawking.
Half way through the 1st investigation, Yasuhiro (leaving the sleuthing to the professionals) and Leon (wanting to forget about...everything) hang out and eventually wind up back in the Gym. Wildly uncomfortable with being in front of yet another corpse, Leon starts to bag the strawberry blondes body before roping Yasuhiro in to help. Hiro leaves him to mop up the blood, stating that the prolonged exposure and smell is making him feel sick. Leon is left with his thoughts, staring at a bloody mop and wondering if he should've refused to participate in the killing game like 'Junko' did. Kyoko later tells him she'd like to be present at each clean up and would appreciate it if he didn't start one without first notifying her.
Sakura starts cleaning after Leon's body is crudely released from the pole and most students file out of the batting cage room. Mondo, attempting to uphold his manly appearance, helps her. Kyoko and Chihiro watch from a distance. Mondo questions how Leon could have such little self-control, attacking a (semi-)helpless girl like that. Sakura replies, saying that he was probably caught up in the moment.
Makoto dreads going back to his room and sits in the dining hall for a while before deciding that he should face his problems head on. He's a tiny bit relieved to find Kyoko and Hifumi waiting outside his door, offering to clean the crime scene in his bathroom. Makoto sits in his bedroom and waits, Hifumi does most of the actual cleaning (preferring to do anything than confront "what's left of beautiful Miss Maizono..."), and Kyoko carefully removes/cleans the murder weapon before bagging her body. The boys carry the bag to the gym for pickup and bid her one final farewell. That night, Makoto finds it almost impossible to fall asleep.
When Kyoko gives the okay, Sakura and Hifumi start clean up on Chihiro. Early on, Mondo forcibly replaces Hifumi, saying that he's "givin' me the creeps" and deems him unfit to properly handle the scene. Kiyotaka and Asahina stick around to give their partners (bro, for Taka) moral support but instead sit together and grieve. Despite her secret already being exposed, Mondo tries his best to give Chihiro respect by handling her fragile figure delicately, placing it gently in the body bag and fixing her outfit as best he could before zipping up the bag. Sakura notices Mondo's uneasiness and offers to take her down to the Gym herself. He reluctantly agrees.
There's nothing to clean up after Mondo's execution. Everyone horrified but extremely confused, unsure where he...went? Kiyotaka is crying his eyes out, unable to cope with his partners loss. Asahina (with Sakura standing nearby) attempts to calm him down while the other students check out the butter machine thing. Kyoko picks up the tub of butter and reads it's ingredients thoroughly, disgusted with her and her classmates situation. She hands it off to Byakuya, who reads it and unceremoniously tosses it to Yasuhiro, who either: a. freaks out and drops it, spilling all of it's contents, and it just. Being there for the rest of the time (funny but in a fucked up way) or b. is creeped out and gives it to Hina, who - with Taka - stores it in the kitchens fridge. Kiyotaka needs to be pulled away from the execution stage in the former and regularly checks up on 'Mondo' in the latter.
Other things that I can't properly hash out at the moment:
Celestia doing the bare minimum to help clean up after Hifumi (something minor like picking up and wiping his glasses), showing the smallest, tiniest bit of affection and possible remorse for killing someone who was nothing but good to her. Maybe scolding him under his breath for revealing her real name.
I want a scenario for Kiyotaka's cleanup but I feel like nobody would care??? That's probably just me being spiteful that the game yada yada'd his death but I seriously don't think anyone outside maybe Sakura, Asahina, maybe Makoto, and Hagakure would help. And I don't even think the last dude would even want to, it would just be because he was roped in to help. I hate reusing Sakura and Aoi for for the Chishimondo group but in my mind they're seriously the only ones that give a damn about them (outside of Leon)
There could be a clean up for Celestia, but I don't know who would step up to do it. It would actually be pretty easy clean up wise since there'd probably be less blood than other deaths. Sort of same problem as Kiyotaka, as Hifumi isn't there to care :(
On a realistic note, I don't think anyone would be able to move Sakura's body, she looks quite heavy. They wouldn't want to keep her there in that room, but I'm not sure how they'd go about it. Also I don't know if Hina would have the guts to help? She's a real peach but cleaning up your partners suicide sounds like an emotionally draining and impossible task.
Mukuro's body gets put into a body bag...again. Kyoko investigates it long and hard before the boys carry her away. The group actually has a pretty damn hard time with this one because her body is in such a gruesome state after the explosion. :( Toko could've helped since there was no blood on the body, but because of the explosion she was in no shape to help carry bodies down multiple flights of stairs.
Since this clean up thing is one of the few changes to canon in this au, the morgue freezer room still exists and has each student in a slot.
I don't think Junko would have a cleanup, but idk maybe if you want to get emotional/melancholy they could wipe up her blood for the last time out of like ermm weird classmate affection idk
I CAN'T THINK RN SO THIS IS ALL I HAVE i'll probably rb with more or add it on later idk. Would love to hear what others think would happen 😗✌️
I would love to do this for SDR2 but with the entire thing being a simulation I think it wouldn't make sense for dead bodies to remain (DRV3 has a similar problem I think? I didn't finish it yet but have been spoiled about what's really going on). Idc I'd still love to hear things for those characters, it's fun to imagine!

I RARELY see people tackle potential parents for Daiya and Mondo, so here they are!
I imagine Cassie met Hideo when she was in high school, but Hideo was a lot older than her. Regardless of that they hit it off fairly well, but things started to sour once Daiya was born. Hideo was a more distant father and refused to run his family's motor business beyond riding a motorcycle, so he refused to take any jobs while Cassie was left jumping from position to position. Despite that, I think Daiya still really looked up to Hideo as this cool mysterious figure. Whenever they'd talk it'd be about manly shit. And bikes. So it was all the more traumatizing when he fucked off a few months into Cassie's second pregnancy. Daiya was 7. I picked the name Hideo because its meanings both fit him, and are DEEPLY ironic (excellent, fine/outstanding, hero, manly, husband, and man). It was just too perfect.
Cassie's dad studied abroad in Canada for a while, and while he was there he met the woman who would be his wife. She didn't have much family left in Canada, so they moved back to Japan shortly after Cassie turned 3. I think their relationship was far more loving and they both gave Cassie their all, but they pressured her in her schoolwork and her relationships, and that began to dominate over their love for her. I think Hideo led them to disown her due to the path she went down after meeting him. She was starting to reach her boiling point with him, but after he left, she couldn’t take it anymore. It was the straw that broke the camel's back, and Cassie began to take it out onto Daiya shortly after Mondo was born in a combination of anger and stress. She was never violent with him and broke down crying more often than not, but she still heavily pressured Daiya into becoming a better man than Hideo was and getting frustrated whenever he or his interests were mentioned.
Daiya ran away when he was only around 12, and Mondo was 4. It was impulsive and remained incredibly complicated until he died. A lot of Hideo and Cassie's personality still stuck with Daiya despite everything, and some of their teachings were passed down to Mondo (Did I base most of Cassie and Hideo on that one line of dialogue in the Ch1 investigation? Yes). Mondo doesn't really know what either of them look like aside from fuzzy memories of Cassie, but I do think that they know who Mondo is all too well. Hideo mostly doesn't care, but I think that time spent alone made Cassie feel like she could've given them so much more. She wants to reconnect with Mondo, especially after Daiya's death, but she has no clue how to do that, so in the end she just never even tries.
Design wise I wanted to make it clear that Hideo is. Kinda a scumbag? I don't think Cassie ever finds this out, but he's absolutely cheated on her at least once. Very real chance that Daiya and Mondo have some siblings out there that they don't know about. I also wanted him to be a pretty big influence on Daiya's style of dress, hence the hair being similar to a pompadour.
Cassie was designed to have a lot of features that'd be considered charming. She's got the big ol' doe eyes with subtle heterochromia, she's got freckles, a cute little nose, a rounder facial shape, etc. and etc. Like if i designed how she looked in high school before she entered her deeply problematic relationship, she would have to look really sweet and cute.
I'm a big fan of the idea that the orange part of Mondo's hair is actually the natural part, and it grew back out after she dyed her hair to look more like Daiya's, so she started to use that part for the pompadour instead. She also got Hideo's eye colour and pupil shape, nearly his exact skin tone, his nose, and Cassie's slightly rounder face shape, albeit a bit taller.
Daiya got a very similar hair colour to Hideo, nearly his exact facial structure, a mixture of both Cassie and Hideo's skin tones, Cassie's freckles, her big ol doe eyes plus their hazel colour, and her nose.
