Super stoked for the Roger DLC and WILL be playing it on release, but something that’s been bugging me ever since the first few teasers was Peter, his personality feels quite different to me and my Peter obsessed friend, is there a reason for his personality change or was it completely unintentional?

He feels a lot more hot headed now, not completely the same as but similar to Steven, which feels like a complete 180 for Peter, I always remember enjoying him more in DSaF 2 because he was the more relaxed Phoney who when he had geniunely serious moments, it was incredibly impactful and gut wrenching when Peter would yell at me. 😔

The comparison just always bothered me slightly.

Different universes. I should note that while Peter IS chiller in DSaF 2, if the restaurant goes under, the main consequence is that the company will get mortally wounded and he might die. The other employees will (for the most part) be fine. Peter cares. He cares if you hurt employees, he cares if you fuck up but is also willing to look the other way a few times if the fuckup isn't bad enough (without letting it slide, because he still cares what you do at work too.) I'd say his attitude at work namely stems from that, rather than the other way around. Steven does NOT care. He is literally willing to throw you under the bus to save himself and his sole goal is keeping the place open specifically so he can save his own hide, and his hot-headedness comes from that.

In DT, Peter is at the end of his rope and has had to deal with a LOT up until this point, arguably even more than his DSaF counterpart in terms of his day to day job, as shocking as that may sound. There's also WAY more on the line this time. He isn't the one that's going to face the worst of what'll happen if things continue at their current trajectory (unlike Peter or Steven in their original games.) He explains this pretty early into the DLC, which may explain why he's testier than you remember him, namely what's on the line. He's trying his damndest to fix it but is failing. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place with Roger, recognizing his bad leadership is sinking the plant but caring too much about the guy to effectively deal with it until this point.

His guard is up because it has to be, but he does have a few nice moments where it's clear how much he cares and if you listen to Roger's dialogue carefully, you'll see just how much Peter has put up with that would've made any sane person walk away. He's also noticeably nicer to Gingi if you don't waste his time and seem to actually care about Roger, and he acts closer to how he does in the DSaF 2 screenshot you showed off, though perhaps with slightly less energy (since he is, like I said, at the end of his rope.) There's even a scene in the evil route where you can identify this and use it against him in a pretty sinister way.

To mention another thing that even Gingi sees as far back as his original scene in DT: He's a natural manager who's playing second-fiddle to someone who clearly doesn't know what he's doing.

I didn't just wanna do more of the same, so I played with the dynamics a lil. Peter is in a very different role here, one that he's not exactly suited to. He's out of his element. He's inundated with work and in this scene, is thinking about the lives of the employees who are going to be laid-off in a week or so time if things don't change FAST, and while this is happening, his boss is bantering with a weird cryptid on the street and talking about random garbage.

There are times in DSaF 2, like you said, where you do see him get like this. It's not as much that his character is different in my eyes, but that the context is. This is a version of Peter who is one bad day away from having to make a difficult decision. Literally. I'll gladly talk more about it when the DLC's out (namely I could compare + contrast certain decisions he makes!) For now, I don't wanna spoil anything that isn't explicitly stated in the first major scene he has.

Talking about Mark, Amber and Eve in Invincible:

This isn’t to hate on the show in any form, it’s a minor critique as I love to dissect and discuss parts of shows that I love. This is meant for me to rant into the darkness of the abyss, and maybe it’ll talk back to me.

Spoilers for Invincible- but just the show. Not the comics.

First off, I like Amber and I think people overhate her. I’m a firm believer that you are allowed not like a character and not have a reason, though usually your dislike will come from Something, because it’s your opinion. Where the problem begins, to me at least, is when you’re attacking anyone who like the character or have to be like “well I don’t like them” whenever they’re brought up in a positive way. Hey, how about this? Lemme talk about this character for one second without bringing up the fact you don’t like this character. Thanks! 🙏🏽

Amber meant a lot to me, when I first started invincible the first time- I was excited to see a black girl be the main love interest (as a black woman yk). I could tell by the way they were setting up she was about to be the disposable black girlfriend but I was in denial. (I could go on a whole rant about the treatment of black women in media and I might soon) At that time, I didn’t even finish season 1, or I don’t remember finishing it but I didn’t continue the series because I didn’t like gore. I finished season 2 and 3 this year and I do have to say I saw it coming. Mark and Eve getting together, and I will not lie- I was disappointed. I will say maybe my bias for Amber will cloud what I’m about to say but I also think I would’ve thought this regardless.

I don’t like how Mark and Eve’s relationship has turned out. I like all three of these characters- even when their actions get on my nerves. Season 3 made Mark and Eve feel unlikable to me. Maybe it’s whenever they’re together but still. A lot of what Mark and Eve were doing this season was having sex, and barely communicating further than “it’s not your fault” if that makes sense. It’s not like they don’t talk, period. They talked season 1, perhaps even season 2. Season 3 however Eve felt like a Yes Man to me, or more so just her comforting him for a bit before they have sex. That’s not a problem, but when you compare how Amber and Mark bonded in their relationship before they even had sex together it made me wish we had that in a way. It felt rushed, and I heard it’s because they cut a lot of the romance from the comic but it’s also why I think they should’ve had a gap before he got with Eve because it just FEELS RUSHED.

Now, for the moments that pissed me off the most. When Eve broke her leg and was in the hospital and he didn’t leave her side. I understand it’s not a typical break but him not leaving her just pissed me off. I understand that he might not make the best decisions at this age, but me being the same age, I’d be more worried for my brother and mother out there- like Cecil said. Then Cecil said Eve wouldn’t like that he was there the whole time, Mark said “I don’t care”. Don’t piss me off. PLEASE, could they have used this plot point because I guaranteed Eve WOULD have been pissed. In season 1 when Mark got dumped and didn’t want to help, she scolded him for it. She said she would rather save lives than pout like how he was.

And Rex’s funeral. They definitely fucked that up, because why was Rae the only one sad? I mean, Eve was, but that went down the drain when Mark was smiling and shi and then they fuck. “I’m just glad you’re alive” HUH. Brotha, someone you knew just died! And you two seemed to be friends in season 3 like huh????? I am a sucker for family dynamics, like Arcane, so when he seems to put Eve above his family I’m ngl it pmo.

And back to Amber, I loved her because of how fierce she was, the ability to stand up for herself. She reflects Debbie but certain fans don’t wanna hear that. Not saying Eve is a doormat by any means, she’s strong (even though the show constantly is nerfing her for Mark to be stronger), and was able to stand up for what she thought was right. I love Eve, just not whenever she’s with Mark, romantically at least. And I like Mark, except for when he’s with Eve. And I love Amber, period. I agree with all her points in season 1, talk to a wall about it if you don’t because I’m not changing my mind.

Anyways, I’m just screaming into the void so this doesn’t bother me that much anymore lol.

Luke

For the most part, Luke's a pretty chill guy so things don't bother him as much as they used to when he was younger.

He's glad to see you expand your horizons and meet new people along the way, especially finding new masters to train under.

He wants to see how far you've come from the last time he saw you, so he asks for a quick sparring match.

And you'd exceeded his expectations!

He's happy to see you develop your own style and dominate the streets.

"Woah, you've really stepped up your game," he said, genuinely impressed.

One thing though...why do you fight like a certain drunken boxer he knows?

Oh, You're learning under Jamie? Cool. Cool.

He's smiling but you can feel the tension behind it.

Luke is definitely the type of jealous that tries to play it off in a joking manner.

"Let's just say, I've had a couple of run-ins with the guy." he forced a chuckle. "He's something else."

"Sounds like there's more to the story."

"Maybe there is, but it doesn't matter. What matters is that you're growing into an incredible fighter, and I'm proud of you for that." He pulled you in to press a kiss on your temple.

"Thanks Luke, that means a lot coming from you."

"Anytime," he said, reaching out to ruffle your hair playfully. "And hey, if Jamie gives you any trouble you let me know, okay?"

"Of course." you laughed, swatting his hands away.

"Come on, let's grab something to eat. I'm starving, and I bet you could use a bite after all that."

"Sweet! But you're buying."

You're your own person and you get to decide who you want to train under, but it still nags at him from somewhere deep within.

It may sound selfish of him, but he would rather you come to him for your concerns than anyone else. In part as your Coach and boyfriend.

So when other people try to make moves on you, he's internally sizing them up as he gives them a once-over.

So even though he has a smile on his face, it never reaches his eyes.

But he won't bring it up this time since you held Jamie in such a high regard.

And he's not going to hold your hand for every decision you make, but he trusts you enough not to do anything behind his back.

He hates to admit it, but it does tick Luke off knowing that Jamie would rub it in his face in their next encounter, it's almost inevitable.

So he would have a couple of not-so-nice words for the guy the next time he sees him on the street.

Ed

Ed watched you near the gym entrance as he leaned against the heavy sliding doors. 

You were running late to your nightly meet-ups and you weren't responding to any of his messages leading up to now. 

He wouldn't have cared if something came up and you had to cancel your date with him, but you mentioned how excited you were about seeing him today that he didn't think you would've just dipped the last second. 

So he went on a whim and decided to pay the gym down the street a visit. 

And surprise, surprise, here you were. 

You were chatting with, what he could assume was your coach, in the middle of the room. 

Ed's eyes watched at the way Luke lightly squeezed your shoulder with a certain fondness in his eyes.

Bastard. 

He didn't know if you were oblivious or dumb for not noticing, so he made himself known by stepping on the mats in your direction. 

His presence immediately drew your attention and your eyes lit up when you saw him approaching, stepping back from Luke you said, "Ed! What are you doing here?"

"You're late. We had plans, remember?"

"Oh, crap, I'm so sorry! I lost track of time and…" You sputtered an apology and some excuses that fell deaf on his ears, but his attention was more focused on your chummy coach.

Ed's glare could paralyze most people with fear, but Luke observed the exchange with a curious expression.

Realizing you may be having a one-sided conversation you introduced the pair to each other.

Luke extended a hand with a friendly smile. "The name's Luke, I'm one of the coaches here at Buckler's.

"Yeah, I've heard about you." He said, not acknowledging Luke's hand, which made the former pull back.

"Ed's been teaching me a little bit of boxing on the side." You chimed in, wrapping your arms around him. 

Actually, it was a bit odd that he didn't immediately try to shake you off. But that meant his mind was somewhere else.

"You've taught them well, They're lucky to have you as a teacher." Luke replied, addressing Ed again.

"Right…" 

He shrugged the arm you were hanging onto. "You ready to head out?"

"Yeah, just let me grab my stuff real quick then we could go," you said, giving him a small peck on his cheek before heading toward the locker room, leaving the pair alone.

"Look I don't know what you're trying to play at and frankly I don't care, but it ends now." 

"Hey, man, I'm not trying to play at anything. I'm just their coach. We keep things professional here." Luke raised his hands in a placating gesture.

"Yeah? Well, you seem pretty damn friendly for just a coach." Ed scoffed, not buying it.

Luke sighed, dropping his hands. "I get it. You're protective of them, and that's fine. But you need to trust that I'm not crossing any lines."

"Trust ain't something I give out easily. And right now, nothing's telling me you deserve even a lick of it."

"Fair enough," Luke said, crossing his arms. "But you should know that Y/n's here because they want to get stronger. And I'm not going to stop coaching them because you're feeling insecure."

"Insecure? Now you're just spouting crap." Ed narrowed his eyes.

"I don't think so." Luke hummed.

You quickly reappeared from the locker room with a bag slung over your shoulder. 

"Ready!" You said cheerfully, grabbing Ed's hand. "Alright, I'll see you later, Coach!" You called over your shoulder as you dragged the boxer towards the exit.

"Take care. And keep on practicing your footwork," he gave you a small wave. 

"Oh, and Ed," Luke said with a slight edge to his tone, making Ed turn to face him, "Take your shoes off the next time you step on my mats, won't you?"

Ed scoffed, with a smirk tugging on his lips. At least, he ain't no pushover.

You glanced between the two, sensing the underlying tension but not quite catching the full meaning of Luke's remark.

"What was that about?"

"Nothing, Just gym etiquette."

Jamie

With Jamie, he doesn't get jealous as easily as other people on this list. But he definitely has his gripes from time to time.

Woah, Pulling punches during a dance battle? Didn't see that one coming.

You told him you've been learning boxing from a guy who's been hanging around the beat square subway station, at least three times a week.

He was wondering what you've been up to.

Wait, did you say three times a week? That's more than you see him.

What's up with that?

He didn't mind you picking up new skills, especially with something as badass as boxing, but he missed your late-night talks.

And now, it was basically cut in half thanks to this Ed guy.

So he thinks it's time to give him a little visit from the infamous Jamie Siu, himself.

"Ah, now I get it." Jamie playfully circled him. "You got the whole bad boy get up and everything, huh?"

Ed looked up from his phone with an unreadable expression, "You gotta problem wit' me or something?" 

"Not at all buddy. I'm just trying to see who Mooncake's been hanging out with."

You sighed, telling him that Ed is just your Boxing coach and he's teaching you how to wield Psycho Power.

Nothing more, nothing less.

After adverting the crisis that was about to break out at the station, you would give Ed a quick apology before leaving with Jamie. 

Ed shrugged, saying 'whatever' and went back to his phone. 

You would have to confront him about his attitude later on.

Even if he felt jealous of where your focus was, you're still learning how to street fight. And he has no right to interfere with your training with your other Coaches. 

He shrugged at your concerns before asking if you wanted to try this new concoction he put together, offering the lip of his gourd to you. 

"Jamie, I'm being serious." You pushed the bottle back to him. 

"So am I."

You hardly picked up the way his eyes bore into your soul before he broke into a grin, taking a swig of his drink.  "Nothing like a good drink to ease the nerves."

When you tell him you're still upset with him about today, he'll lean up against the rails and cross his arms. 

Most of his jealousy stems from the fact that you're spending more time with other people than him. And he feels a tad bit neglected.

He's used to being isolated so the feeling isn't new to him. But he found himself staring at the space beside him where he expected to find your presence.

The times when you don't visit him, his mind wanders to the silly little adventures you'd tell him about and the places you get to see around the world.

But you have a track record of being gone for long periods of time and he just waits here, until you came back.

It's not your fault. He was just being a hard-ass, so he would be the one to apologize. 

"Look, I know you're still starting out and learning new stuff, which is cool n' all but I miss our nights together. And if it's that important to you, I'll back off. Just make sure to stop by from time to-time. 'Kay?"

"I will…And thanks, Jamie. I really appreciate it."

After a beat of silence, you gestured to the gourd resting beside you two. "Now, about that concoction of yours."

Jamie broke out in a grin, handing it to you. "Prepare to be amazed. The new and improved recipe is made from the ingredients you brought from Tian Hong Yuan. It's got a kick to it, just like you."

You both would've retired for the night in a drunken stupor, entangled in each other's arms.

He snuggled his face in the crook of your neck with a dumb smile, mumbling how much he loved you.

But next time you visit Ed, Jamie gives you a couple of 'souvenirs' to show off to your friend to show who you belong to. 

Bosch

You know, when you decided to stroll through town, Bosch didn't expect you to pick up another Master.

If anything, he guessed it was your eagerness that made people naturally gravitate to you.

He could tell how much you admired Rashid's wind abilities and charming personality, but it still irked him more than he cared to admit.

You would spend the majority of your days training and chatting with Rashid, eventually kicking Bosch to the curb.

He knew it was nothing more than a student-teacher relationship, especially since Rashid's wind techniques were something you wanted to master.

And the thing is, Rashid isn't even a bad guy.

He's just very charismatic, in a way that can be overbearing at times.

But he still couldn't shake the pangs of jealousy that gnawed at his soul.

With every new move that clicked, you would glance at Bosch to see if he noticed.

He's at least a little glad you still sought him out, despite your attention being elsewhere.

Maybe that's why he let it go on for so long.

He'll sit on his emotions and let the feeling bubble in his stomach before he would ever confront you about it. 

He probably even lets out a few snippy remarks if you keep pushing him away.

He doesn't mean it.

He never does, but Bosch has never been in a relationship before, so he doesn't know what to do whenever he felt the burning sensation of jealousy below the surface of his skin.

Bosch sat by the window sill and let the cool midnight breeze brush against his face.

He should've been relaxing, but his mind was anything but calm.

He heard the soft creak of the floorboards as he turned to see you approaching. 

You sat next to him by the window, offering some food you got from the markets. 

Your presence instantly eased his nerves as you both sat in the dark, listening to the distant sounds of the city.

Sensing Bosch's off demeanor, you asked what was on his mind.

"I'm just thinking." He said, sipping his drink.

"About what?"

"You." His eyes met yours, "…and Rashid."

You blinked in surprise. "Rashid? What about him?"

"It's just, you've been spending so much time with him. I get that he's your new master and he's teaching you a lot, but it feels like there's no time for us anymore."

"I didn't know you felt that way, but I'm sorry for not noticing sooner." You said, aimlessly playing with his hands before tangling them together.

Bosch sighed, looking down at your intertwined hands. "You don't owe me an apology. I know I'm being hard-headed. I just wish I could open up to you more."

"You can always talk to me about anything, Bosch. And you don't need to force yourself to do so for my sake."

He looked up, meeting your eyes again. "I know. It's just hard sometimes. And seeing you with Rashid, makes me feel-"

"Jealous?"

"It's stupid, I know."

"I don't think it's stupid, it's a very human emotion but I want you to know that no matter what, I'll always want to be here with you."

He hummed, still not taking your words to heart and opting to stare off into the night.

"How about this?" You scooted closer, resting your head on his shoulder, "I'll set aside more time for us, and you tell me whenever something's bothering you instead of bottling it up. Deal?"

A smile tugged on Bosch's face as he drew your intertwined hands closer, brushing his lips against your knuckles.

Day by day, Claire Nuñez had to deal with a battle worst than the last one, despite having her two best friends on her side, to balance her life between trollhunter and normal student was becoming more difficult, especially when she was told she would become substitute and be replaced on the play. Replaced! She was so angry that day that she almost defeats Draal when training with him at her house, and the fact gum-gumns visited her constantly because of a serious sneaky green guy wasn’t of help, and now she had to protect her parents, the idiot of her “baby brother”, kind of protect Draal, and the one that literally got into the play to be with her but life constantly puts them away from each other, oh, and his chubby little friend

If it wasn’t because she didn’t have time for that, she would have been in some kind of collapse, too many things at the same time, and dealing with this Bular who only made her life even more impossible that it already was, and Strickler? Oh! That damn man! That damned professor! Not even Claire is sure why each time she has to apply the second rule she just can’t do it! She can’t put her sword in the other’s chest, she had many opportunities, but all of them got wasted! All because she couldn’t put that damn sword in their heart when could, until she did with Bular...

Despite the help of her friends, the words of her mentors and the funny but sad tries of her “baby brother” to calm her she till had that image stuck on her head like a photograph impossible to erase

But one day…

Arcadia Oaks, morning. Context? Tiny little brilliant dots were making disaster!

People got crazy out of nowhere! And it wasn’t the exams, and Claire already knew what kind of trick this was. Claire barely knew about certain thousand years-old dead rock-ram, but that the troll was a great hunter (better than she in all senses), cursed by an evil magician to hunt past trollhunters and ate their souls to fill the void of his lack of one, she already interacted with him, compared to other menaces that only attacked like once or twice per week and was something easy to deal, Angor Rot actually followed her, took in mind each one of her movements and even attacked each time he could or desired, he wasn’t a normal menace, he was actually terrifying, and the fact the damn guy never gave her free pass on her missions only kept her more awake at nights, he almost sabotaged one of her missions and already stole one of the triumbric stones she needed to get on the Darklands, all in name of certain changeling she now gets why wasn’t in the school that morning

In the middle of the chaos and fortunately awake, Claire was about to summon her sword and prepare herself, but a shadow in a corner took her attention and stole her sword in the middle of the conjuring, at least she still had the helmet and the boomerangs left

Claire: I didn’t expected you to go this far. Making my whole school get weird hallucinations?

Angor Rot: one of my most useful tricks, where are you going to hide now, trollhunter?

Claire: I promise that if you do any damage to here or to any of my friends-

Angor Rot: will you kill me?

Both were so perplexed about the awkward situation that Angor lowered the Daylight sword as Claire got her helmet off and looked at the weird spectacle Jim Lake was forming in the middle of the hallway, from nowhere he started to fight? Like punching in the air but his technique was so bad he looked ridiculous, then, he started to cry? He fell on his knees and was like begging... despite the hallway was full of all the people, Jim was definitely the loudest of all, Claire already knew Jim was a good actor but this? This was way better and strange than any acting

Angor: All are fleshbags this emotional-? What are you doing?

Claire, with her phone on hand: I’m recording this

Angor: …why?

Claire: because this will definitely NOT happen twice. First because I’ll make sure you get your pixie pets on their jail AND because I don’t think I’ll see this ever again

Angor used the distraction to push the trollhunter far away, raising the sword and prepared to start the battle again, despite how intrigued he was for the human boy, he already had a plan and was prepared to go with it, no matter the cost

Claire got both her helm and boomerangs on place again and fought as could, just as Blinky taught her, the problem was that her movements were easily read by the other hunter, so, she had to change strategy each time he was closer to hit her, her other problem, the image of killing someone was so stuck on her head she couldn’t think of being aggressive but only of protecting herself, which Angor discovered quickly and used on his advantage to get enough close from behind and make her go away as could, with the hallways full of people and Angor surrounding her, Claire took the route to the gymnasium, just where Angor needed her to be, immediately, she felt something get on her ear

She knew it was an hallucination but yet, to have Killahead in front of her made her chill, the far away cries of her baby brother took her ears as the sunset, no, an eclipse took over the land, and the worst part was that she was all alone

She felt something push her and by pure instinct she sliced the boomerang in the air, almost catching Angor’s hand if it wasn’t because of his good reflexes

Angor: I’m usually not interested in the other’s fears, but now you got my curiosity, what do you see, trollhunter?

Despite that, Claire got in position, nothing that could be seen as treachery but prepared for anything

But Claire forgot to put her helmet on, and the pixie, not tired of its tricks, managed to pass Claire’s hands again, this time through her nose, which hurt as heck

The last lore post even made me get off my ass and actually name+think a bit more about the seraphim siblings

So I was kinda vague with the advancement district last time since it’s kinda (really) messy, but it’s basically the huge hospital/laboratories of heaven, where technology and experiments are held.

Only thing is, Hui Shizhuo, by far the youngest Seraphim and the seraphim in charge of the district, is secretly dead and Yang Hu (military seraphim) is illegally acting in place of him being a lil silly.

And one day, Yang Hu he saw Qing Xia down on earth who got a score of 800 on the gaokao (massive test every Chinese student has to take that determines their entire future, irl highest score is 750) and did a bunch of other stuff in the scientific/medical field, basically being any Chinese parents’ dream.

The only problem is that when he went down to earth, Xia was happy and didn’t wanna abandon literally everyone she knew for some shady angel. So he did the only sensible thing and dropped some of his blood into her eye, allowing him to slowly affect her mind and make her obsessive about her research and stuff (why she has weird red veiny marks on half of her body, the “veins” grew down from her eyes over time).

Then he left and let his blood kinda fester in her mind, until everyone left her because she was literally going insane and starting to only value her science (also she killed a bunch of people or something). When he came back she accepted and she became the only human working him heaven..

For what she does, well during the centuries war a lot of angels died, but angels don’t decay so heaven just had a bunch of fresh corpses laying around, and they gave a bunch of them to Qing Xia for her to figure out how to “improve” angels.

Eventually her research led to Yang Hu “redesigning” Yin Hu and her sister (who is currently declared fallen and dead, but is definitely not actually the very much alive Wei Zhi) to become stronger but also more feral and now they murder 100x better.

For the civilian seraphim, Chaoxiang Ji, he’s the second oldest and probably the sanest of his siblings, probably since a insane person looking after 80% of the population of angels wouldn’t end good.

He doesn’t really have much going one, but he doesn’t like Yang Hu, and is very aware of how cruel and dangerous he is even for a seraphim. So when he notices Shizhou suddenly making strange decisions that line up with Hu’s line of thinking, he became suspicious. Eventually his suspicions get so bad, it leads to him making a shady deal with Liu’s dad.

For the missions seraphim, Wang, they were originally the civilian seraphim, but got moved and Ji took their place. They’re the oldest and the most mysterious, even to their siblings (why only their last name is known). They’re definitely the favorite child and the most connected to the Order god, it being said they have direct contact with them.

They rarely make children, even during the war where angels were dying left and right, they only made 2…. who died and Qing Xia has since “revived” in questionable ways.

They have certain beef with Caihong Liu’s dad, who is basically a unofficial angel but of chaos (also a great deadbeat, who knows where he currently is, certainly not Liu or her mom). During the centuries war Liu’s dad managed to find Wang and cut off one of his wings, making him go into hiding indefinitely (to this day, they rarely even talk to their siblings, just assigning and accepting or rejecting missions sent their way)

And finally the military seraphim, Yang Hu, is the second youngest, being made near the start of the centuries war, hand in hand with the arch angels. Despite not being a archangel himself, he’s noticeably more aggressive than the others, having his outbursts and giving threats much more commonly than them.

He was made especially cruel and uncaring for his children because of his job and basically all the arch angels hate him for being like your work manager but 100x worse (AND they’re all forced to carry his stupid last name).

But the rest of heaven actually kinda love him because while he didn’t win the war, he helped make it end in a tie which allowed heaven and the angels to continue existing (However that opinion quickly changed when they found out about a certain secret of his).

One thing I'd let everyone know that jimin will never ever make add another schedule in jk's busy schedules of album. He definitely went to nyc to support jk and then the comapny came up with the idea at that moment. Both of them got to know it at the same time. If jm knew before travelling to nyc then jk knew it at the same time they let jm know.

Idk why everyone is so adamant on being like it was jm who asked them this time when he did yrs ago. Comapny came up with it this time. The way jimin was worrying about jk's health on different occasions there's no way he would straight up come up with this idea and let jk know on the spot. the comapny definitely discussed it with them both AT THE SAME TIME.

I'm sorry, anon, but the first part of your Ask is purely speculative. We don't really know how the decision to create the show was made. I think it's always been obvious that BTS and their agency plan everything well in advance, so perhaps the idea for the show was approved a while ago, and they had to coordinate dates to ensure they could both take time off from their commitments. This might also be why the filming of the show wasn't consecutive in each country.

What you suggest in the first paragraph of your Ask implies that the agency or company practically ordered them to do the show. That's not a narrative I want to support or consider. Even though the agency has made it clear that the show or everything they did wasn't planned, I still find it hard to believe that the general idea of the show wasn't planned with some anticipation. As I mentioned in another Ask, from a security and logistics standpoint, that doesn't seem feasible, not for an agency like BigHit.

I do believe that Jimin travelled a few days before the filming started to be with Jungkook during the release of his single, but I find it hard to believe that he didn't know they'd also be filming a show once they were in that country.

The second paragraph of your Ask is also speculative. Based on what Jimin said in the trailer, it could easily be deduced that the idea came from Jimin and Jungkook. They might have presented it to the agency, and the agency accepted it, or they simply said, "We want to do this," and that was it.

Anon, please don't be like the Solos and the subgroup who dismiss Jungkook's decisions and his power to say no. Even if Jimin was the one who had the idea, hired the filming team, and made the deal with Disney+, Jungkook could have said no. He could have said he didn't want to do the show because he was too tired or because it would be too difficult for him to manage between his single and eventually his album commitments. Additionally, even if we assume that Jimin came up with the idea, I don't believe that anyone who truly respects him would think, even for a second, that he wouldn't ensure Jungkook was willing and wanted to do the show with him.

The only part I agree with is the last thing you mentioned. The agency definitely spoke with them before they started filming the show; we simply don't know when that happened.

The only things we know for certain are:

1. Jimin once said it might be fun to do a travel variety show with Jungkook.

2. Jimin and Jungkook thought about filming a travelvlog before joining the Army.

Anything else beyond that is speculative and conjectural based on those two truths.

well i don't know if i can write an essay exactly bc tbh i still don't know for certain what we're supposed to take away from that scene. but i do know the tone of it was completely different to anything we've ever seen for buddie before and it also lasted so much longer than most of their scenes have before??? like i just went back to rewatch it to refresh my memory and it's 3 minutes???? that is an incredibly long scene for two characters to have in an ensemble show when they're literally just talking and it's not strictly moving the plot forward

but to try and break it down a bit:

i find it fascinating the way eddie reacts to buck talking about natalia. that weary, almost irritated, "really?" when buck admits he'd met up with her followed by the "dating somebody you rescued, you know what never ends well." it's So Different to the snarky way he used to react to taylor. like when he'd make comments about taylor you knew he was mostly joking or at worst, just being a little bitchy. but he sounds genuinely frustrated when buck brings up natalia. the closest thing i can compare it to is that it's a more muted version of "his fiance's abby" and we know eddie knew how deeply buck was affected by losing abby so it feels a bit like eddie is potentially annoyed bc he knows buck will probably get hurt again???

then you have buck saying the whole "i think she sees me" bit which echoes so much of buck's overarching storyline and his struggle with love in the past. and i know some people call this eddie's 'oh' moment but i definitely don't consider it an "oh i'm in love with him" moment. i feel like it's more of an "oh he doesn't see that i see him too" moment, if that makes sense?? and i think there probably is a bit of frustration with that for eddie given that the will scene is eddie as loudly and demonstratively as he can saying "i see you" y'know? nevermind all the little ways he proves he knows buck

and tbh i think my favourite part of the scene is actually the last 60 seconds because first you have eddie saying "you haven't been the same since it happened, but then again how could you be?" and it's just!!! 1) it's literally him proving he does see buck and probably knows him better than anyone else and 2) there's a very subtle hint of realisation in his voice when eddie says "how could you be" as if he's been convincing himself buck is fine this entire time (maybe post-couch nap) only for him to now realise buck really, really isn't.

tHEN he says "you don't have to be anything for anybody" and it might be my favourite words to ever come out of his mouth tbh because it's just once again emphasising the gentle way eddie lets buck be?????????? "i had to do it" "i know you did", "you knew i wouldn't" "i knew you wouldn't". eddie is So Good at offering buck a reprieve whenever he needs one and he's usually the person best able to break through all the noise in buck's head to make him understand that he's fine just existing as himself.

aND THEN eddie makes the comment about how going through near death experiences change a person and all i can think about is how after eddie's near death experience he made the decision to tell buck about his will after keeping it a secret for a year and how he never actually answered buck's question about why he kept it a secret in the first place and i have to ask, eddie diaz what changed in you???????????

combine all of that with the fact their outfits mirror what they wore in 5x14 and the absolute irony of eddie saying dating someone on a call never works out only for him to pursue marisol two eps later and just- i don't know if they pivoted bc there was a fear season 6 would be the end of the series or if the last few eps were always supposed to go the way they did but this scene in 6x15 raises so many questions and i feel like i don't have the answers to any of them skjahd

The results of the best K3 song bracket are known!

And the winner is... Oya lélé!!!

Tele-Romeo finished second and Alle Kleuren ended up in the third place. Hart verloren just fell out of the top 3 and ended up in fourth place.

And with this the competition is over, I posted the bracket first on March 22nd and the first polls the day after. That means it took over 3 months to determine the very best K3 song of all 4 generations. I had great fun seeing people campaigning for their favourite songs in the notes, why they think a certain song is better and occasionally sharing stories of times they performed one of these songs as a kid, so thanks to everyone who voted and/or reblogged some polls, some comments really made my day and I hope this tournament reminded you of some old songs or introduced you to some new ones.

Speaking of which, my next plans are to run 3 more tournaments to determine the best song of each non-og generation, because the og was (kinda understandably) overrepresented in this tournament and I thought it might be fun to give the other 3 formations a chance and some other people also liked this idea when I polled people a few weeks ago. So, ehm, keep posted for that I guess. It won't start immediately, because I am kinda busy atm and I need to figure out some logistics for the kkj generation (does de revolutie count as an og song or a kkj song??), so you might see me outsourcing some decisions through polls in the coming weeks.

Finally, now that I have your attention, I've been running a 2-year campaign to get K3 in the NPO radio 2 top 2000, and specifically Oya lélé and since Oya lélé did actually win this, I think I might be able to convince you to vote for Oya lélé as the K3 song representation of the top 2000, so if you would please consider voting for Oya lélé in 5 months and if possible try to convince other people to do so too, you would make me very happy. (Also because I do not have other social media so I can only campaign for it here)

‼️also a spoiler warning for the most recent natlan archon quest‼️this is also super long since i have so many feelings about this 😭

no i completely understand what you mean - i wasn’t natlan’s biggest fan from the beginning because of all the CA, and it also felt like a massive downgrade in so many areas. i wish that certain parts of early natlan were inaccessible due to abyssal corrosion and as we progressed through the story, it slowly got worse, with the entire map being fully unlocked at the end of the archon quest. that way, it would’ve felt like there were actual stakes in the story.

the actual ‘war’ part of the quest, where the decisions that you made had consequences, was easily the most interesting part to me - it was so engaging and actually had suspense. then they kind of ruined it with The Power of Friendship!™️

i also feel like the traveller was ridiculously worshiped in natlan - since natlan didn’t seem to actually be affected by any of the abyssal corruption until the archon quest, it leaves me feeling like i’m being told that the traveller was so amazing and did so much to help natlan, rather than being shown. and i’m sorry to be a hater but why were we signing autographs. please.

the characters in general just don’t feel very tied to genshin. i love kachina, and like xilonen, mualini, snd kinich, but that’s kind of it 😭. i’m not a massive fan of mavuika’s design, but i do like her character. i’m sorry to say i don’t like citlali that much - she’s meant to be a priest and a highly respected person within natlan, but she just feels off if you know what i mean?

onto capitano. second to last paragraph i swear. i’m actually gutted about his conclusion - i love the concept behind it, but like. what do you mean he’s ‘dead’. i’ve seen so many people quit the game over it, and i can’t really blame them. while i adored his story and motivations, i think that killing him off is a terrible decision. i wish they’d expanded on his characterisation beyond ‘he’s noble’, but i do appreciate that hoyo isn’t shoehorning all the fatui as evil and nothing else.

i’m looking forward to the doctor showing up again, although i was also hoping for columbina, especially since the animation of those two was released (it’s incredible, especially the edits of it to the poem ‘boots’ by rudyard kipling). hopefully, the fontaine team is brought back for snezhnaya.

in conclusion, natlan is such a disappointment and i’m just waiting for phase 2 of 5.3 to get tartaglia. also bring back capitano and signora.

chuckles back at it again with a fun ask! this was such a sweet thing to send, so thank you friend! ✨💛 i was meant to response to this a long ago but then came holidays &. traveling, oof.

1. first things first ; i love f.fxiv from the bottom of my heart. this is truly my favorite piece of media, &. of course in the same way, i am very attached to the oc i have created. writing her is one of the best decisions i have ever made, because i do dare say it ; writing her is the most fun i've had what it comes to writing a muse! sorry felicia my beloved, you are a close second but it is the ffxiv media for me. 2. a hero, but not one that sees the world as black &. white. she harbors a lot of sympathy towards her enemies, &. can understand their point of view. it is never that straightforward what it comes to conflicts ; at least not always. whenever facing ascians, though it is arguable that lahabrea was one of those that was furthest away from what he used to be, twisted by time &. slight tempering effects zodiark had ; even though at the time she did not remember, after killing him, she felt strange about it. ( this had been a colleague of hers in the convocation. ) shadowbringers - arc especially, showcases perfectly that the ascians have an understandable reason to do what they do, but still, the scions, nor sarastus herself can not let that happen. regardless of the sympathy she feels, &. how much it might break her to follow her duty ; she does, even if it means killing those she once considered close friends. at that point, too far gone down the path. she does what is needed, no matter how hard it is for her personally, even if she would prefer to save everyone. 3. speaking of which ; i absolutely love those moments sarastus goes all out. i have always said i do not downplay the op - level she is at, but it is so good to get those moments in - game where she absolutely wreaks havoc, one woman army in battles. showing why her enemies fear her, &. call her devastatingly brutal. i am just someone who adores strong women, i guess. that being said ; more threads with with enemy dynamics!! 4. but following that ; i like how she can form genuine bonds very quickly. assuming you are not an evil person with bad intentions, you get to see that golden hearted hero, who would die for you even though she has known you for five minutes. those people she comes across upon her journeys, she remembers each &. every one of them. ( even recognizing faces from crowds that she comes across again. ) though there is a certain loneliness that comes with her duty, with being the strongest ; it is with the help of these people in many different ways that she gets more strength to go on, &. the fact that though there are certain heights only she can reach, there are always people that are willing to give her a push if she needs. she is always genuine with people, yes, even with enemies, she does not hide anything, &. i think it is both beautiful &. brave. 5. her story. okay, i am the one who made my own little twists to it of course ; but i am very proud with what i came up with! while the twist of her being the one &. the same person than the one lived in the world before the sundering, ( though slightly affected herself, her soul shattering to one other half resulting in ardbert ) is both a minor detail considering i otherwise follow the very canon storyline, since she has little next to no other backgrounds before the ARR - arc, since that is when she awakes ... it is also very huge twist. &. honestly? it adds so much more to the story, &. it has been super interesting to explore, both while i played through the game &. in my head went over the minor changes to dialogue / reactions that would happen, it has also been super fun to explore that in writing!! not only that, but i think sarastus as a character is very inspirational, as are many of the characters in the game. no matter how much she faces, even if through kicking &. screaming, she rises again &. forges on.

Here we go:

(hsr leaks ARE mentioned!! throughout the thread!! please proceed with caution)

the screenshots are all taken from the new nameless faces trailer! spoilers for that as well :) just some interesting things i noticed from the sequence of coreflame titles/names

From the images above:

1) First sc has Time, Laws, and Space featured; these are the Coreflames of Fate

2) Second sc has Sky, Ocean, and Earth- the coreflames of Foundation

3) This one has Kephale, Cerces, and Mnestia, which are the Titans of Creation, Wisdom, and Romance which are the coreflames of creation.

4) The fourth sc lists Strife, Death, and Trickery, the Coreflames of Calamity. This covers every Coreflame in the game(there are only twelve listed in the Amphoreus teaser trailer, not 13, for those who are thinking of the 13 Flamechasers!

Now for the last two... sections? I'm not sure what to call this sequence exactly!

The fifth sc shows Laws, Space, and Earth, plus Cerces is visible at the bottom right.

The sixth shows Ocean and Trickery, and Kephale very faintly right behind "Ocean".

The rest of this post is going to be several observations, a few theories, and a lot of me guessing and asking questions! Remember- feel free to interact, but be respectful of everyone's ideas.

-The most standout thing when I saw this part was that the Titans of Creation are mentioned directly by name. I have no idea why, but maybe Hoyo doesn't want us to know what these Titans stans for yet? Then again, we already know Aglaea for sure. Maybe it's because these three hold some significance in the story that's different from the others.

-If you look at the scs, there is some overlap between the different "sections" of coreflames (ex law appearing with the coreflames of calamity) but no apparent way to arrange them?? I couldn't create a full image just connecting the screenshots i took above- the overlap would make no sense at all. other than aesthetic choice, I can't think of any reason to make that particular decision- wouldn't it make more sense to introduce each section independently? They could be suggesting relations between the titans, or maybe the Flamechasers, by putting them within different sections other than their own. This doesn't, however, explain the last two screenshots. Their only commonality is that a titan of creation's name is placed in each one- Cerces for 5 and Kephale for 6. Again, I could be overthinking this, but it could suggest a link between those titans and the others listed, but its an interesting detail made even more so by the fact that the coreflames of creation are still being mentioned by their titans names!

-also, why is mnestia being left out? hoyo could have added them in a 9th sc but only included cerces and kephale.

-It's also worth noting that the first three screenshots are set with the "eclipse" from the teaser trailer in the background, and the last three are set with Aglaea in the teaser trailer as the background. This is odd, since Mnestia isn't mentioned in the scs where Aglaea is there, but that could just be Hoyo placing screenshots randomly in the background. It may also indicate some shift that could happen in the story, but that's a bit of a stretch (even though it could explain why there are two shots of ust repeated coreflames, i have no idea if they just wanted to highlight certain coreflames again or something)

-One more thing i wanted to point out was that the calamity coreflames, in their "section" screenshot, has their words going vertically instead of horizontally like everywhere else. Law, which has invaded their section apparently, also does this. This might be because calamity is "going in a different direction" than the other sections, as fate, foundation, and creation are all generally associated with more positivity than, you know, calamity. Again, no idea why law is there- perhaps its flamechaser or titan was affected by calamity significantly? Maybe just an artist choice? who knows.

I hated it. I still hate. Sorry, but the 2-12 interaction could not save it. I still love that moment though. To me, Emily is OOC.

Thomas' Fuzzy Friend

Wholesome filler episode with a ref to Thomas the Babysitter, which is one of my all-time favorites. I love it.

The Great Little Engine Show

Eh- i like the mention of the model engines. Don't have anything against it but it doesn't stick out. .3.

Thomas and the Forest Engines

I like it. :D I like the storyline about why certain engines are allocated to certain places.

Emily to the Rescue

Peak Emily moment. I love it but why did it take so long for her to get her number??? 😭 Oh, well. I still love it.

I love that bring out her caring aspect. It's like her intro episode. (I finally watched it and MAN, i wish I got that Emily growing up 😭 she just came off as a bossy big sister /neg)

Shankar's Makeover

Shankar's like me. /srs I like this episode for addressing situations like this. Stage fright, not wanting attention, and being someone who keeps to themself. Nice episode.

Nia and the Unfriendly Elephant

The references are nice. I love Nia's love for animals and her assignment to the park. Before, her job wasn't permanent. Also, Belle is here. I love her. I love them. I like it. :]

Until I watch all of Nia's episodes, I won't be commenting on how she supposedly repeats learning things from Kenya all the damn time.

However, I do have a problem with the argument being made. It feels like it dimisses that different cultures interact like this most of the time, bringing up the ways they handle certain situations. From my expierence, i hear where these differences come from all the time, even if I know the person well enough.

I just don't see the problem with Nia bringing up how things different are between her old home and Sodor. It feels relatable, despite the fact that I'm Hispanic (Mexican), and it makes sense.

James the Super Engine

I ADORE THIS EPISODE. I've talked about it before but in short, I love how James is portrayed. Could've EASILY written him as a hero who gave up and didn't bother checking up on Rebecca when she yelled for help. But no, they went the right way. James IS caring but considering the environment he's had to work in for so many years, you can see why he doesn't show it. But here, HE DOES.

And when he realizes that Rebecca is in trouble? Its his normal voice, whereas before, it was his superhero voice.

Eh- I think the lesson is pretty good about getting those good things by thinking positively and working towards them instead of letting luck be the decision maker.

I've seen it before.

I initially didn't like it due to the dynamics of the story. Like why is a massive engine like Yong Bao shunting in the yard?

However, i like it more now. I can dismiss the dynamic.

Gordon and Rebecca, Coming Through!

I've talked about it before. Its confusing, especially with its placement. Would've worked better as the episode following 'Confusion Without Delay".

Despite this, i like their dynamic.

Gordon's behavior is tiresome. I usually ignore it but i've seen enough of CGI TTTE that im getting sick and tired out of it. I've heard that his character growth was forgotten but i havent seen enough to have a say.

Kenji on the Rails

Mixed feelings on this one because Hiro's leaving. :( Stop writing off my favorite characters.

In my second, I noticed Hiro's "konnichiwa" and got thrown off completely. Odd how they're JUST now bringing out Hiro's first language. I don't remember seeing this brought out before BWBA.

Not really a review because of that. I'm sour about it.

Cleo the Road Engine

Ah, the intro episode. I thought it was in season 23. Its just Thomas and Bertie rewritten but Cleo is avoiding her jobs. No, it somehow didn't destroy my liking to her.

Thomas' Animal Friends

I think its cute but Thomas would've straight up ignored Gordon.

Overall impression: Not as shitty as its made to be. It has its good moments and bad moments.

I'm so glad that I wasn't bombarded with fantasy sequences with this one. Those are just plain ridiculous, for the most part. In some episodes, it fits like James the Super Engine and Thomas' Animal Friends. The one in Emily's Best Friend made me cringe but I enjoyed it because its Edward and Emily.

Listen, I'm desperate for 2-12 content, man, and I've been ignoring model era for a good while because I just dont want to.

1) While reading i was wondering indeed about Izukus "skillsets" ehem👀 like we know he had a previous relationship and theres some air of speculation around him and shouto cosplayers, in stark contrast to his future vision of barely getting to hold his so's hand... i did ask myself quite a bit about izukus innocence haha

2) do you have headcanons or perhaps a whole fic in mind of wedding shenanigans or the disaster of shinkami getting together?

3) Who throws Todoroki a hangover-eske bachelor party and why is it ochako?

4) was soba ever possessive of his catdaddy giving all his attention away? And how did banjo and kazooie warm up to their stepmom?

The first question made me laugh out loud. His skillsets. 😂 But okay! Let me tackle these one at a time! Sorry in advance, but I'll probably babble.

1. So. Izuku's skillsets are probably pretty average, lmao. Shouto was very smitten, though, that first time, so Ochako assumed he was some sort of sex god. But Shouto is only the second person Izuku has ever slept with, and the first guy, so it's not like he has a ton of experience. Concerning the Shouto cosplayers, he really did just take pictures with them and go on his merry way. They were probably very disappointed. ^^; He's a romantic, though, and I can't see him sleeping with someone casually. All that being said, despite his limited experience (he and his ex weren't together long), I imagine he is very veeery attentive and giving. With his first relationship, she and Izuku were each other's firsts. They met in college. She broke up with him after being pressured to by her friends, who thought she could do better than a quirkless guy who was also shorter than her. She had a hard time finding dates because of her height (fun fact: she was on the school's basketball team!). After they broke up, she quickly regretted her decision once she tried dating other guys. I imagine she had a weight in her stomach, telling her she messed up, but she tried to ignore it. I think she'll eventually meet other nice guys, but she'll never have a lover as attentive and caring as Izuku was in bed, lol. She learned to be more careful about taking unsolicited advice. For Shouto, this is perfect. His entire life, he craved love and affection, and now he has this person who absolutely showers him with both. Izuku is shy and nervous, so the fact that he gives so much of himself in bed, when he's arguably most vulnerable, is very important to Shouto. Unlike Izuku's ex, Shouto 100% understands what he has and doesn't take it for granted. I can't say I've thought of the *specifics* of their activities, but if I was going to assign them a kink, I'd probably say they both have their worship kink moments.

2. Lots of people requested a Shinkami sequel! I actually have no ideas. OTL I started writing a how-Hitoshi-and-Izuku-met prequel, actually, which probably very few people would have been interested in. I guess that's easier, because I had thought of their backstory already (I'm saying easy, but I only wrote three chapters before I stopped, so...). But as for Shinkami, I can't say I have many ideas as to how it would happen. I'm not even certain of POV. Hitoshi seems the obvious choice, to me, but Ochako's POV might be funnier. I briefly toyed with the idea of writing a wedding oneshot, for Izuku and Shouto. If I did, it would be in Bakugou's POV. So a very grumpy wedding! I did their wedding in my other fic, The Cupid Quirk, though, so for L, C, & R, I decided to just do the proposal. I didn't want to seem like I was writing the same thing, especially since the wedding in The Cupid Quirk is also told from an unconventional character's POV. The tone of L, C, & R is comedical, though, and part of me feels a Bakugou oneshot would be a little melancholy, since his feelings are so complex. At the end, Kirishima would drag him to the dance floor, though, and Bakugou would feel a little at peace with things. ShinKami would already be together at this point, but he and Kiri wouldn't, so Ochako and Kiri would still be roommates.

3. Lmao!!! Realistically, I think Yaoyorozu would stop her, since bachelor party duties would fall to her. Ochako would probably employ hijinks thoughout the night, though. Yaomomo plans for a nice restaurant, and Ochako gives the driver the address to a club. That sort of thing. And naturally something goes wrong—a wrong address maybe—and they get lost and in trouble. When Shouto finally returns home, he finds out for Izuku's bachelor party, Hitoshi took him to an arcade, then Denny's, and then finally took him home and they cooked an entire bag of tater tots, put them in a popcorn bowl, and watched a movie. Shouto is so exhausted and jealous, he buries himself in Izuku's chest and makes him hold him all night, lol.

4. I don't think Soba would be jealous! In my mind, most cats naturally like Izuku for one reason or another. He's very respectful of boundaries, due to his own bad experiences, and that applies to cats too. I think cats naturally feel very safe with him, Soba included. His chest is also a nice pillow. It probably does help though that Izuku likes to sleep on Shouto's right and Soba on the left. Izuku is also gullible, so Soba appreciates that he can sometimes trick him into giving him a second dinner after Shouto already fed him. Eventually they buy one of those "cat has been fed" boards.

As for Banjo and Kazooie, Ochako has a much harder time! It's not that they dislike her, but they miss Izuku, so there's a long sulking period. She feels like they're always disappointed to see her, because when she puts her key in the door, they think it's Izuku. Unlike Izuku, I don't think she's a natural with cats, but she won their affection eventually. It took a lot of treats, lol.

Songs that I feel give off the vibes of one of the Mewman queens. Part 2

(BTW: this series isn't based off of whether or not they would like the song. it's based off of what kind of vibes I feel like the queens give off from the song. Also, I will explain why that song gives off a certain queen of Mewni vibe. Well, most times. If I'm not really feeling it that day, then I'll just post the queen and song.)

Let's try to do another analysis. And this may come out way quicker because this song is just easier to associate with Star. Especially because Star is in like, every episode of the show. Also, I'm very bad at explaining things. So pls don't be mad if this post is super disorganized.

Brain & Heart is about balancing your decision making and embracing both logic and emotion. And that sound's exactly like Star. Let's start with the first verse.

"Bring up all my memories folder please, in the temporal lobe" this could defiantly describe The Tavern at The End of the Multiverse. When she was in her wand confronting Glossaryck. And it could be her at the end of the show reflecting about her life on Earth. You know, before it got merged into Earthni.

"False loving when I was illogical" could talk about how she treated Tom during their relationship between seasons 3 and 4. It really felt like she never loved him to begin with and the relationship felt super duper forced just to get to Starco. And it could be her reflecting back on that relationship and realizing that she was the problem (second time around duh.)

"Didn't know they held each other's hands 'cause they made one whole" This is defiantly talking about Starco tbh. Around the end of the series they finally realized that they probably were for each other. And this could also be talking about how Star does become more and more responsible and logical throughout the show while still trying to lead with her heart.

"Cook, cook, cook now ability to sleep sound" could be whenever she fights evil and she brings peace to Mewni or to her friends.

"Throughout the star, time's an illusion if you just remove it" could be talking about around the end of the show. When Star started thinking that magic was terrible and that it needed to be destroyed.

"When did humans start to separate brain and heart as if they could stay alive alone" defiantly would be Star embracing both. Because she is very passionate and leads with her heart. But she still does use her brain in times that call for it.

"What fun is it to be so calculated or be taken advantage of 'cause your heart's too trusting" references the other queens. Like Moon being calculated and Festivia's heart being too trusting (I don't even know wtf I'm saying tbh.) Star is probably one of the only queens to be the balance between the brain and heart.

"Help me when I'm too detached and cold." Starco 100% because they defiantly helped each other through difficult times. It could also be referring to having Glossaryck help her with her magic skills.

"Fervency in my arteries, passion bloomin' through my bones." This could be talking about Star leading with her heart instead of her brain. But she still needs her brain to make logical decisions.

"Heartstings trigger emotions, dreams" defiantly relates to the episode "Butterfly Trap." Especially when Star finds out that the MHC lied to her family for generations. She was 100% angry in my opinion.

"Sometimes I think you're all I need" could be talking about Marco and how she loved him. She even admitted to loving him during the season 2 finale. And especially when she kissed him during the back half of season 4. Basically, she loves him.

"Wise beyond belief" is defiantly talking about her character development throughout the show. She went from a kid who couldn't handle positions of power to being that same kid, but more logical and thinks more about her responsibilities. She legit had an identity crisis in season 4 trying to figure out what she was going to do now that she wasn't responsible for Mewni anymore.

Y/N’s POV

It had been about a month since I started working for Gotham, and I was already loving every second of it. The players were among the nicest people I had worked with, but there was just one problem— I was self-sabotaging and avoiding a certain blonde midfielder who was exactly my type.

I was hardly able to function in Kristie’s presence without turning into a gay mess, so I had been avoiding her and not acknowledging my feelings. I knew what I was doing wasn’t healthy, so I decided to speak with my therapist, Celesta, about it.

As I sat in the waiting room of Celesta’s office, I noticed that the ESPN body issue had come out and was sitting on one of the side tables by the couches. Before I could gather the courage to see if a certain blonde midfielder was featured in the issue, Celesta came out to greet me and then escorted me to her office.

“So, Y/N, how have you been coping with your move to New York?”

“I’ve been doing pretty well, but I wanted to talk to you about something regarding work…”

“Go right ahead!”

“I’m attracted to one of the players I work with, and although I’m pretty sure the feeling is mutual, I have found myself avoiding her”

“Why do you think that is (Y/N)?”

“I think it’s because she’s out of my league and I don’t want to embarrass myself while talking to her. Also I don’t know why she would want to date someone like me when she can have her pick out of pretty much every queer person who’s single in the NWSL?”

“It sounds like you’re experiencing some imposter syndrome, but I’d challenge you to be nicer to yourself, and to stop with the negative self-talk. If you tell yourself something enough times, you’ll end up believing it.”

“Yeah, but how do I fix it and stop self-sabotaging?”

“I’d suggest coming up with an affirmation to say to yourself when you’re struggling; I think it would really help”

“I’ll be sure to try that from now on. Thanks Celesta!.”

The next morning, I decided to grab brunch at a local LGBTQ+ hangout with my best friend Danny. I didn’t know what to wear, so Danny came over early to help me pick out an outfit that would be fitting for my debut into the queer community of NYC.

I was dressed in a classic blue flannel, dark wash jeans, and a pair of chukka boots, and I could tell that there were plenty of eyes on me. Once we were seated by the host, our waitress came over and introduced herself.

“Hi, my name is Sammi, and I’ll be your waitress this morning! What can I get started for you boys?”

“I’ll take a mimosa,” said Danny.

“And I’ll have a strawberry banana smoothie, please,” I said.

“For sure, handsome,” Sammi replied, I’ll have your drinks out for you shortly,” said Sammi.

“She was super friendly and totally your type! You should definitely ask her for her number (Y/N/N)!”

“Oh shit…she was flirting with me, wasn’t she?” 

“I mean, yeah, it was pretty obvious…”

“Goddamn! I can’t believe I didn’t pick up on that,” I groaned in frustration. 

Sammi came back with our drinks, and asked, “Are you guys ready to order?”

“Yes,” said Danny, “I’ll have the buckwheat pancakes with a side of bacon”

“And what about you, cutie?” 

“I’ll umm… take the the Eggs Benedict with extra hollandaise sauce.”

“Coming right up,” Sammi replied. 

After Sammi left to put in our orders, I avoided eye contact with Danny in an effort to maintain some type of self-preservation.

“She’s definitely into you!” Exclaimed Danny. 

“Maybe so, but I don’t think I’m ready for a relationship yet,” I replied. 

“When are you going to stop letting Karen control your life?” 

This wasn’t the first time someone in my circle had something to this effect. My buddy Alex had said the same thing when I was ranting about my huge crush on Kristie. 

“Fuck it, you’re right Danny!” I said, “I’ll ask for her number when she brings us the check.”

“Slay! Look at you (Y/N/N)! I’m so proud of you.”

Sammi came back with our food shortly after I made the decision to “shoot my shot”. 

“Here are those buckwheat pancakes with a side of bacon,” she said as she placed Danny’s plate in front of him. 

“And here is your Eggs Benedict with the extra hollandaise sauce,” Sammi said with a wink. 

As soon as Sammi left the vicinity, I started to freak out. 

“Yeah, never mind. There’s no way I can handle asking for her number, I definitely don’t have the balls for that!”

“Well, why don’t you just write your number on the extra receipt and leave it there for her to see?”

“That’s actually not a bad idea; I think I will!”

“Okay then, let’s dig in!”

When Sammi came to collect our plates, I was beyond stuffed. 

“I think I’m going to nap away my food coma when I get home”

“Me too, (Y/N/N)!” 

After she finished bussing our table, Sammi brought our checks out to us, and sure as heck, mine had her number on it, along with a note:

You’re super cute and I’d love to go out with you! The ball’s in your court, handsome 😊

Kristie POV

I was sitting with Ash, Ali, Midge, and Lynn at Brunch when (Y/N) came up with the topic of conversation.

“Honestly, I’m not sure how that man is still single…if I wasn’t already in a committed relationship and in love with Marley, you’d best believe I’d be making a move on him,” said Lynn, “You mentioned that you thought he was cute, Kristie— what’s the hold-up?”

“I’m not sure, honestly. I’ve been flirting with him, but I think he’s starting to avoid me,” replied Kristie.

“Well, if I were you I’d take it up a notch. Be super direct and then leave the ball in his court,” suggested Ali.
