“So. You waiting for a certain cute brown haired boy to return?” Garcia quipped as you tapped your pen against the desk. You rolled your eyes at her while the blonde gave you a smirk with her pink painted smile.
“For the last time, he’s my best friend. That’s all. And yes I’m waiting for him to get back. He’s been gone for almost a week and we’ve had to reschedule movie night three times.” You grumbled as you crossed your legs.
“Three times? Reid never misses those. Everything okay?” Garcia asks with a sympathetic look and you sigh.
“Yeah. He was on a date the first time. The second time he fell asleep and the third was a date again.” You tried to keep your voice as casual as possible but your friend senses the hidden pang of jealously threatening to come out.
“Well-“ She began and then her expression turned when she saw something above you. You shifted in your seat and saw the agents exiting the elevator.
Hotch gave you a curt nod, Rossi gave you a smile, Emily and JJ waved while Morgan winked at you. You bit your lip in anticipation as you finally saw Spencer walk out. His floppy waves were flicked out of his face as he jerked his head and flashed his eyebrows at you in a greeting.
You stood, shoes padding the carpeted floor as your work pants flowed against your thighs. “Hey Spencer. Everything okay?”
“Yeah! Sorry I haven’t really been able to check in with you. Kidnapping cases are a race against time and the unsub happened to be a woman.” You nod as you withhold the urge to hug him but he shifts beside you and leans against your desk.
“A woman? That’s not common is it?”
“Statistically speaking-“ and then he was rambling. You bit back a smile and listened contently as Spencer caught you up on the case.
Several seconds went by and you cleared your throat, signaling him to slow down. “I know you’re probably worn out but would you want to join me for movie night?”
Spencer nods rapidly. “Yes! Sorry I’ve had to reschedule a few times. What’s on the watchlist tonight?” He extends his elbow and you wrap your hand around it.
“Hmm, you pick. Since it’s your first day back.” You smile at him as he leads you both to clock out.

Spencer Reid was a man with reasonable amounts of self control but every single time he came into your apartment, he couldn’t prevent himself from sneaking a pair of panties into his pocket. It was completely off limits. You were his friend and didn’t look at him that way. You were a gorgeous, sensible and caring woman but he couldn’t possible be your type. Derek Morgan was someone he’d always pair you with. Someone with more confidence. Except now, he was searching for a pair of underwear in your room while you made snacks in the kitchen. You had changed into an oversized evil dead t shirt and shorts. Knee socks to top it all off and all Spencer wanted to do was rip them off and have his way with you but he’d settle for licking a strip in the middle of your thong.
He couldn’t imagine what the real thing tasted like. A pretty pussy hidden away in those little outfits you wore everyday at work. Spencer also had a habit of jerking off hidden away in an office, his dick painfully hard whenever he imagined fucking you.
His car was another spot, where he’d moan your name over and over again picturing your mouth wrapped around his cock. You’d wear the prettiest lipstick too and he’d catch peeks of a pink tongue whenever you ate something. Spencer almost felt like a dog with how pathetic he was for you. Yet he couldn’t admit it to you. His shyness won over every time. He even lied about dating. He just didn’t want you to think he was completely incapable of having a relationship but no one could ever replace you.
“Spencer? You okay? You coming back?” You called from the other room and he quickly straightened. Pulling your panties into his pocket and shuffling out of your bedroom. He smoothed a hand over his hair and hurried to sit down on the couch.
You held two bowls of popcorn, candy and a few other items with your hips swaying as you plopped next to him. “Your food sir.” Spencer had to swallow painfully at the term and the way your voice sounded saying Sir.
“Thank you.” He replied and shifted his body slightly away from you to hide his hardening dick.
You both watched in silence but Spencer caught glimpses of you and the way your body filled out your clothes. He wanted nothing more than to let his hands and mouth cover every each of you. It was almost unbearable.
“How was your date?” Your sudden question alarmed him and Spencer jerked his head towards you.
“What?”
You raised your brows. “How was your date?” You repeated and he shrugged.
“Oh. it’s alright. Don’t think it’s anything worth sharing about.” He kept it short and you both fell again into quiet.
You reached over and turned down the volume. “I missed you, Spencer. It feels like it’s been so long since we’ve gotten to hang out.” You gave him a slight pout with doe eyes and he wanted to fucking groan. His brown irises darkened as you nudged him with your knee. “It’s been really lonely without my favorite nerd.” You gave him a little smirk and he scoffed.
“I’m the nerd? You’re the only person who understands my rambles so clearly I’m not the only one here.” He retorts and you chuckle.
“Okay, okay, I’m a secret nerd.” You hold your hands up and he points at your shirt.
“And you’re the one who lives in shirts like that! Who else knows different seasons of Star Trek than you?” You grin and laugh fully.
“Alight! You win!”
Spencer didn’t know what came over him but he leaned in closer and rested his hand on either side of your legs. “As usual.”
You don’t back away. Instead you dip your head down. “Don’t get cocky, Spencer. This is a one time surrender.”
The way your mouth moved. Your eyes having a glint and the way your thighs clenched together. Spencer couldn’t take it anymore. “You’re going to be surrendering a lot more. You’re just too much of a brat to give in right away.”
To his deep surprise, you surged forward and leaned your weight on him, moving him on his back on the couch. “Oh yeah? Well I can still pin you down, agent Reid.”
Spencer felt like his dick was going to explode in his god damn boxers as you hovered above him, necklaces dangling over his face. “That’s because I let you win.” He replied breathlessly and you squeezed him with your thighs.
“Then don’t.” You whisper and glance at his lips.
He caved in and caught your mouth in a soft kiss, his emotions clouding over him momentarily before he pulled back. “Was that okay?”
Instead of answering, you meet his lips again harder with a sigh and Spencer moans. His hand move to cup the back of your head and your leg as he adjusts you to straddle him fully. Your fingers trail over his torso then his hips and you feel a lacy material sticking out of his pocket. His eyes shot open as he felt you pull out the pair of stolen panties.
Your face is heated and your lips are glossy. “So you’re the one who took my favorite pair. You’re fucking perverted, Spencer. Playing the “good”boy act pretty well.”
Something broke in him and he lifted you up, manhandling you on your back. “I’m fucking perverted? You’re the one walking around wearing those. You wanted me to take them and you wanted me to notice you. Don’t act so innocent. Can’t believe you actually bought the date story.” He growled and you were shocked at his sudden show of aggression and you’d only heard him swear a handful of times.
Spencer peeled off your shorts and saw your bare cunt. “God, let me fucking taste it please.” He begged and you nodded rapidly.
Moving downward, he held your knees apart and buried his face in your center. His tongue lapping at your clit with a deep groan before slipping it into your entrance. “You’re so sweet, better than I could ever dream.” You felt him press two fingers in, curling them as he paid attention to your clit again. Spencer focused on eating your pussy like a starved man and he grinds down on the cushion.
He was about to bust in his underwear from the sounds you let out. Desperate little cries and whimpers as you claw at his hair, rolling your hips to keep him in place.
“I’m gonna cum,” You whisper and Spencer nods against your cunt.
“Let me have it. Give it to me. Please,” And your climax hits you like a wave and you pant heavily.
Spencer follows suit and spills into his pants, his motions briefly stalling as he tongue fucks you through it.
“Need you to fuck me, please, Spencer.” He didn’t have a fucking chance from your pleads as he shuffled up and smashed his cum coated lips against yours in a bruising kiss. He shoved his pants and boxers off, his cock throbbing.
Spencer presses himself deep inside you, filling you to the brim as you wrap your legs around his waist and your hands grip his shirt.
He humps into you like a feral animal, “Fuck, your pussy is so tight. Can barely move.” You whine and clench around him harder and he thrusts.
“I want you to cum in me. Please, don’t stop and cum in me. I want to feel you, god, Spencer I’ve needed you. Fucking myself isn’t enough.”
“Talking like a whore already?” He grunts, “Don’t worry I’m gonna breed this perfect little pussy and then eat it out after I’m done.”
You reached your second orgasm and your eyes squeezed shut but Spencer wasn’t having it. “No open your fucking eyes, I want you to look at me when I cum in you.” Your eyes spring open as Spencer slaps your clit and you feel ropes of his cum coat your insides. “Shit-“ He grits out and buries his head in your neck and you feel his open mouth against your skin.
You tremble with aftershock for a few seconds before he pulls down, pumping himself and gestures with his fingers “Hands and knees, I’m gonna lick it off.”
You obeyed him, ass up in the air as he gave it a smack and buried his face again in your cunt. His tongue tasting both of your arousals with a throaty moan.
You’d have to talk about this but that could wait until after he was finished cleaning his mess.

Bucky awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck, searching for the right words. “Well, my mom is quite… eccentric.”
Even her own son admitted that Lydia was quite eccentric. She certainly acted like a woman from a wealthy family. She had also caused quite an uproar in town when people saw the wedding invitation that stated her husband would take her last name instead of the other way around.
In a small town, that decision was unique and controversial. Many husbands had their opinions, but no one dared to say it directly to Lydia. Everyone was somewhat afraid of her.
There was a rumor that the marriage wouldn't last long because it was one-sided love. But it's an old rumor.
“If her stares could kill, I’d be dead by now. I don't know what I did to make her hate me,” you muttered.
Bucky hesitated before speaking. “It's…”
“You know the reason?” You raised your eyebrows in surprise.
He walked closer to you, making you step back a bit. “If we become besties, I’ll tell you.”
'Best friends with you? Hell no!' You gave him a fake smile. “No, thank you.” Then you turned and left, determined to keep your distance from him.
“I knew you’d say that.” He pointed at you while chuckling. Then he whispered, “But why does it still hurt?”
🎨
While you were shopping at the grocery store, minding your own business in the sauce section, you heard a familiar voice, “I'm sorry.”
You pushed your shopping cart and saw a man kneeling down, picking up cans of beer from the ground. It looked like he had knocked over a beer display. From his hair and the pencil behind his ear, it was easy to figure out that it was Steve.
He looked as awkward as he had back in high school. Nobody helped him. You could have chosen to ignore him, but damn, your heart was getting soft.
Steve quickly picked up the beers, sensing someone was beside him. He assumed it was a store employee. “Sorry, I made more work for you.”
“You need to pay for all of this beer,” you said.
Steve realized it was you and looked up, surprised. “Could you pay it for me? I don’t have the money,” he said jokingly.
You rolled your eyes and picked up the last can of beer, fixing the display.
“Phew… I couldn’t have done it without you,” Steve said, relieved.
“Hmm,” you replied. Then you noticed the amount of beer in his shopping cart. “Having a house party?”
He looked back at his shopping cart. “Nah, just for me.”
“All of that…?” you murmured. Then you looked at his face. He tried to smile, but he looked sad, like you could see a dark cloud and rain pouring over him.
Steve sighed. “Hey, do you have some spare time?”
“Sure,” you replied.
Both of you finished shopping and then found a nearby café, settling into a quiet corner. Steve fidgeted with his phone, avoiding eye contact.
“The art school already replied,” he said, his voice tinged with disappointment. “They told me my portfolio doesn’t fit their criteria.” He looked dejected, his shoulders slumping as he spoke.
“Let me see the portfolio,” you said, reaching out your hand.
Steve hesitated for a moment before pulling out his phone and showing you the pictures of his artwork. You took the phone, studying each piece carefully. As you scrolled through his work, you noticed the intricate details and the passion evident in every stroke.
Steve watched your face anxiously, trying to read your expression. His hands fidgeted on the table, betraying his nervousness.
“This is impressive,” you said, looking up at him with genuine admiration. “Coming from someone who frequently visits modern art museums, I can tell you these pieces are outstanding.”
Steve’s eyes lit up slightly, a flicker of hope returning. “Really? You think so?”
“That art school must be insane to reject this kind of art,” you affirmed.
You picked up your phone and called an art gallery owner who was one of your clients. After a brief conversation, the owner expressed interest in Steve’s work and wanted to meet him.
Steve looked astonished. “That was quick.”
“When you have status and connections, you can achieve a lot,” you said, putting your phone back in your pocket.
“Noted. Thanks,” Steve replied, his gratitude evident.
“In just a brief meeting, you’ve changed my life. You’re more thoughtful than anyone else I’ve ever met,” Steve said, his voice sincere.
You gave a small nod, internally wondering why you had helped him. Was it an act of charity?
Not really. Perhaps deep down, you felt that Steve reminded you of your old self. If you had never met Ransom, who opened your mind, you wouldn’t have known the real world outside of this town.
You weren’t close with Steve, but you had some similarities with him. Both of you were raised by single fathers. However, the difference was Steve’s father loved him, while your father, Tom, was an absent father.
Steve’s father loved him too much, not wanting to be separated from him. Mr. Rogers became paranoid after his wife died.
To summarize, Steve lived pretty much in a cage.
“It’s not free, though. I’ll charge you later after you sell your artwork,” you said, half-smiling.
Steve smirked. “I agree.”
🏎️
A few days later, on the weekend, you decided to drive around and find an automobile repair shop. The air conditioning in your dad's car wasn't working, and although Tom didn't seem bothered by it, you were. So, you took it upon yourself to get it fixed.
After driving around town, you finally found a repair shop. You got out of the car and went to the front desk, where a woman appeared to be engrossed in her phone and clearly bothered by the presence of a customer.
You knocked on the table to get her attention.
“I need to change the air filter for my air con,” you said.
“Wait in line,” she replied without looking up.
You looked around and saw there was no one else there. Was this really how they treated their customers?
You sighed inwardly. “Just give me the air con filter.”
Her eyes remained locked on her phone as she reached out and grabbed a box, handing it to you.
You clicked your tongue and handed her the money. “Keep the change.”
“Thanks,” she mumbled.
Just as you were about to leave, the back door opened, and someone tall and imposing walked in. Instantly, your instincts kicked in, making you feel on guard.
Unexpectedly, you came face to face with one of Bucky's group, the biggest of them all. Thor. Like his namesake, he stood tall like a Greek god.
The cashier, who had previously ignored you, quickly brushed her hair and looked at Thor with puppy eyes.
Thor didn't even glance at her; his attention was on you. “No kidding. You’re back,” he said.
You gave a small nod. Back then, both of you were not friends. Thor was the loudest to laugh when you were made fun of. Standing tall like a tower, he was always the first to tell Bucky and their group when you were near.
He was known around town as a future NASCAR driver. Although you weren’t interested in car racing, a small part of you was curious whether Thor had made it to NASCAR or not. Maybe you’d ask Steve later.
“Something wrong with your old man’s car?” Thor asked with a smile.
You showed him the box you bought. “Just needed some spares.”
Thor stepped closer, his presence looming. “Need any help with that?”
You hesitated, feeling the awkward tension in the air. “I think I can manage.”
He chuckled, an awkward sound that didn’t quite reach his eyes. “You always were stubborn.”
You gave a tight-lipped smile. “And you were always…persistent.”
The cashier was still eyeing Thor, trying to catch his attention, but he seemed oblivious to her attempts. The silence grew uncomfortable, the memories of high school taunts and laughs hanging between you.
“Well, if you change your mind,” Thor said, gesturing to the repair bay, “I’m around.”
You nodded, wanting to end the conversation as quickly as possible. “Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind.”
As you walked back to the car, you couldn’t help but feel a mix of discomfort and nostalgia. Thor’s presence brought back memories you’d rather forget, but it also reminded you of how far you’d come.
You got into the car, placed the filter on the passenger seat, and drove off, the encounter replaying in your mind. Some things never change, but you have. And that was enough.
🚗
You drove home quickly, feeling a wave of relief wash over you as you pulled into the driveway. Finally safe at home, you were drenched in sweat from the broken air conditioning. “Shit. This damn air-con,” you muttered, frustrated. Why hadn’t your dad used the money you sent to buy a new car?
Determined to fix it yourself, you looked up a YouTube tutorial on how to change the air filter in a car. Despite the step-by-step guide, you were still confused, struggling to follow along.
You heard a familiar voice behind you as you fumbled with the instructions. “What 'cha doing?”
You didn’t have to look to know who it was. “Changing the air filter,” you replied, exasperated.
He heard the voice from the YouTube video. “Do you know how to do it?” Bucky asked.
“...No,” you admitted reluctantly.
“Let me help you. It’s really easy,” he said confidently.
“If you say so,” you sighed, stepping aside to let him work.
Bucky changed the air filter quickly and efficiently, his movements smooth and practiced.
"So, you went to Thor's shop?" Bucky asked while fixing it.
"How did you know?" you asked, raising an eyebrow. You also found out that shop belongs to Thor.
"From the filter box," Bucky said with a grin. "Nah… just kidding. He called me."
"Yeah, I went there," you admitted.
"Did he make you uncomfortable?" Bucky's tone grew more serious.
"The same as our first meeting," you said bluntly, not sugarcoating your words.
"Ouch," Bucky said, pretending to be hurt, clutching his chest dramatically.
"Well… it's done," he said, stepping back and wiping his hands.
You looked at the air filter, noting how easily Bucky had changed it. He was right—it was simple once you knew what to do. You turned on the car and felt the welcome rush of cold air. It was a relief after driving around in the heat.
"Thanks," you said, genuinely appreciative.
"That's what friends are for," Bucky replied with a teasing smile.
Giving him a fake smile, you shook your head, your expression firm. "We. Will. Never. Be. Friends."
Bucky shrugged his shoulders, a hint of a smile still playing on his lips. "We'll see about that," he said, walking away to help your father like usual.
You watched him go, shaking your head in disbelief. What made him think you would ever want to be friends after everything that had happened?

a new morning routine
ethan landry x fem!reader
words: 4.6k
notes: this took me sooo long to write and i don't even know if i like it, but finally an ethan fic!! who cheered? :)
Tumblr media
Ethan knew that Chad jogged every morning when the sun was barely out. Chad was a very loud roommate, and Ethan had become all too familiar with his daily routine. It began with the blaring of Chad's alarm at the crack of dawn, a noise that could wake the dead.
Ethan would groan and bury his head under the pillow, futilely attempting to block out the sound. But it didn't stop there. As if the alarm wasn’t enough, Chad would often sing softly to himself as he tied his running shoes and stretched on the porch, a tune that Ethan couldn't help but find annoying at such an ungodly hour. The creaking of the front door followed as Chad made his way out, trying not to wake Ethan and failing miserably.
Ethan grew curious to know who Chad ran with. He knew he didn't go by himself; he'd heard Chad talk to someone before closing the door and going on with his routine many times.
One morning, Ethan was awoken by Chad's coughing fit rather than his annoyingly loud alarm. Chad's raspy coughs echoed through the apartment, and Ethan sat up in bed, rubbing his eyes and listening intently as he tiredly made his way to the small living room, where he saw Chad sitting on the couch, clutching a tissue in one hand and a cup of tea in the other.
"Are you okay?"
Chad looked up, his face pale and sweaty. "Yeah, just a little under the weather," he replied, his voice hoarse. "I think I caught a cold.” Ethan fetched a blanket from the closet and draped it over Chad's shoulders as he plopped down on the couch. "You really shouldn't be going for a run like this,"
Ethan would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of Chad, the boy who had been near death twice and survived. Chad refused to move from his bed weeks after being healed from the stab wounds, thinking he would not be able to return to his older, much less butchered, body. He’d watched Chad get carried away by an ambulance, breaths away from death, just a few months before.
During one of their many one-nighters together, Chad confessed that he envied Ethan’s body, with no scars and a much more healthy disposition. And Ethan secretly shared the thought, Chad's resilience and determination to continue jogging even after everything he'd been through.
And still, looking at Chad's frail and sickly state now, Ethan couldn't help but feel sympathy for him. Chad had faced death head-on, and now, he was battling a simple cold, but it was clear that he was still pushing himself too hard.
“Want some soup?” he asked, and Chad gave him a small smile and a soft nod, eyes grateful.
Ethan wasn’t a very good cook, so when he saw that they’d run out of canned soup, he saw no other option than going to buy some more, hoping that some store was open so early. He checked on his friend again, seeing that he was fast asleep on the couch, cuddled up to the blanket. The sound of the blaring alarm hit Ethan's ears and he rushed into Chad's room to turn it off before it woke him up. Ethan quickly silenced it before changing into one of his hoodies and moving to head out.
When he opened the door, though, he locked eyes with you. Ethan froze in the doorway, surprised to find you standing there, he knew you were a neighbor, one that he’d been crushing on for a while.  In the dim light of the hallway, you looked equally startled.
Your presence was unexpected, but it also presented a chance for Ethan to make a good impression. He cleared his throat and managed a friendly smile.
"Hey," you said, breaking the silence. "I'm sorry if I startled you. I usually come over to meet Chad for our morning run." Ethan nodded, still a bit taken aback.
"I'm Ethan, Chad's roommate." he admitted, his voice tinged with curiosity.
You extended a hand, and he shook it awkwardly, not really knowing how to speak to you yet. "Nice to finally meet you, Ethan. I'm Y/N."
Ethan noticed that you were dressed in running gear and holding a water bottle. It was clear you had come prepared for your morning jog with Chad. “Uh… Chad’s sick.”
Your concern was evident as you furrowed your brow. "Sick? That's not like him. Is it serious?" Ethan shrugged, still not entirely sure of the extent of Chad's illness. "I'm not sure, but he's got a pretty bad cough. I convinced him to stay in today."
You nodded understandingly. "Well, I hope he gets better soon. Tell him I stopped by and that I hope to see him back on his feet soon."
"I will," You gave him a warm smile, making Ethan's heart skip a beat. "No problem, Ethan. If you ever want to join us for a run, feel free to tag along. We usually meet here in the mornings." Ethan felt a surge of excitement at the invitation, but he tried to play it cool.
"I might take you up on that sometime."
You gave him a nod, and he mirrored your silence as both of you thought of how to continue the conversation. Ethan couldn't help but feel a rush of nervousness wash through him. Here was the neighbor he had been secretly admiring for a while, standing right in front of him, offering an invitation to join her and Chad for a morning run. He had seen you from a distance many times but never had a chance to strike up a conversation.
As you both stood there, trying to find something to say, Ethan's mind raced with questions and topics to discuss. He finally broke the silence, realizing that this was his opportunity to get to know you better. "I was gonna… go get some soup for him, so…" he pulled at his ear lobe.
“Right, I won’t hold you up then.” you grinned, giving him a small wave before beginning to walk away, hands undoing your tangled earbuds. He watched you walk away, and waited a few seconds to put himself together. Quickly, he locked the door behind him and rushed to the nearest store to buy some soup for Chad.
When he returned to the apartment, Chad was still asleep on the couch, the blanket had moved off of him. Ethan quietly set the bag of soup on the kitchen counter and tiptoed over to Chad. He gently covered him with the blanket. Chad stirred in his sleep but didn't wake up.
The next day, Ethan was woken up by that horrifying alarm once again, and he heard Chad’s singing again. He quickly stumbled off of his bed, walking through the dark, and when he reached Chad, he said “Hey man, can I join you today?”
His request caught Chad by surprise as he laced up his running shoes. He knew Ethan wasn’t a runner. He turned to face Ethan with a grin, his earlier sickness seemingly forgotten. "Sure, but are you sure you can keep up with me?"
Ethan chuckled nervously, “I’ll try.”
He followed Chad to the door, and there you were. You were leaning against the wall, water bottle in hand once again. “Oh, Ethan!” you exclaimed when you saw his distinct curls. "Joining us?"
Ethan felt a mix of excitement and nerves as he stood there, realizing he was about to go on a morning jog with both you and Chad. "Yeah, I thought I'd give it a shot," he replied, trying to sound way more confident than he felt.
You smiled warmly at him, and Chad chimed in with a smirk, "Great! The more, the merrier, right?"
Ethan was a few steps behind you and Chad, trying so hard to focus on keeping up with you two. He could feel his ears get cold because of the breeze, and he could hear you and Chad talking. You glanced back a few times, checking on Ethan, and he kept grinning and giving you a thumbs up, pretending not to be running out of breath.
He felt his heart drop to the pit of his stomach when he heard you laugh, you threw your head back in a giggle and Chad joined you. Ethan had to slow down his pace, and he wondered if it was possible for you to like Chad.
Ethan couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as he listened to your laughter. He came to a full stop, needing to catch his breath before trying to keep up with you and Chad. Just a few feet ahead, you turned to check on the curly haired boy once again, seeing that he had stopped, you did too.
“You okay, Ethan?”
“Huh?” he looked up, hands on his knees as he panted, “Yeah, yeah. Just out of practice.” he chuckled.
Ethan's chest heaved as he regained his breath, feeling slightly embarrassed about his sudden stop. You moved a couple steps towards him, handing him your water bottle with a smile “Do you wanna stop for a bit?”
He nodded and as he took a sip, he couldn't help but feel grateful for your consideration. Chad, standing nearby, gave Ethan an encouraging pat on the back.
"You're doing great, man," Chad said as he shot him a supportive smile. Ethan forced himself to regain his composure, determined not to let his jealousy get the best of him. He took a deep breath and handed the water bottle back to you with a grateful nod.
"Thanks, Y/N. I just needed a moment," he replied, wiping sweat from his forehead. The few curls that stuck on his forehead now slightly pushed back. “Let’s just keep going.” he insisted.
You hesitated, seeing that Ethan’s face was flushed red, and that his chest was still heaving from breathing so hard. Chad got ahead, and once you caught up to him, he slowed to meet Ethan’s pace, “You’re so red, dude.”
“What?”
“Your face, are you sure you wanna keep going?”
Ethan reached to touch his cheek, feeling it cold under his touch, “Oh, I’m fine.” Chad smirked and looked at you as you changed the song playing in your ears, “You sure it’s not because of her?”
His cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red, this time because of embarrassement, and he stammered, "N-no, it's not because of her. I just need to catch my breath, that's all." Chad chuckled knowingly, and patted his friend’s back.
You glanced back at Ethan with concern in your eyes but decided not to press the issue either. Instead, you offered a smile. He was grateful he had Chad next to him to follow his pace, because if he had been on his own, he was sure he’d fainted because of you.
Once back at the apartment, you bid your goodbyes from the boys, and the second the door was closed, Chad jumped to make fun of Ethan. “You looked like you were going to explode! Don’t even try to convince me it was because of the running.”
“Shut up, shut up, shut up!” Ethan plopped down on the couch, face covered by his hands as Chad laughed. “Come on! I’m not stupid, you were practically blushing the entire time." he teased, nudging him playfully.
Ethan peeked through his fingers, his cheeks still rosy. "Okay, maybe," he admitted with a sheepish grin. "But can you blame me?"
Chad's laughter subsided, and he nodded in agreement and leaned back on the couch, a thoughtful expression on his face. "You know," he began, "I've been friends with Y/N for a while now. We've been jogging together for months, and we've become pretty close. I think you two would get along really well."
Ethan's curiosity piqued. "Really? You think so?"
Chad grinned, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Oh, absolutely.”
The teasing didn't stop, of course. Whenever you would come over for a morning run or to check on Chad, he would nudge Ethan and raise an eyebrow, prompting a fresh wave of embarrassment for his friend.
He would sometimes pretend to be tying his shoes, or needing a water break, and urged the two of you to keep going without him. Ethan made sure to always shoot him a glare while you weren’t looking, getting a toothy grin in response.
You noticed that Ethan didn’t really talk. He would glance at you, trying to think of what to say, and then crumbled back into his little shy boy bubble. He silently cursed at himself every time he saw you look up at him, almost as if you were waiting for him to talk. It took Chad three times leaving you two alone before you broke the silence,
“Chad talks a lot about you,”
“He does?” Ethan seemed surprised, keeping in mind to thank his roommate once they were alone for kind of pushing his ‘matchmaking’ agenda. “Oh, yeah. All the time.”
“Good things, I hope?” he pulled at his ear lobe like he did when he was nervous, you chuckled, finding Ethan's nervousness endearing.
"Oh, absolutely. He thinks the world of you." You slowed your pace a bit so you could walk alongside him, and Ethan's heart did a little somersault in his chest.
"That's nice to hear," he replied, a small smile playing on his lips. You hummed, looking back to see Chad smirking at you, winking before fixing the headphones that covered his ears.
“Uhm,” you started, “To be honest, I thought you’d be more like Chad?”
Ethan raised his brows in confusion. How on earth could he be intimidating? You stopped running, moving to sit on a nearby bench to fix your shoelaces, and he joined you. “What do you mean?”
Chad caught up to you guys before you could answer, his panting joining yours. You exchanged a quick glance with Chad, and he grinned knowingly, clearly enjoying leaving you two on your own.
You and Ethan exchanged a slightly awkward yet amused look, and then you turned back to Chad, smirking. "Well, Chad, you didn't mention how different you two are. I was expecting another chatty, outgoing roommate." you joked.
Chad laughed heartily. "Yeah, Ethan's the quiet one, but he's got his own charm. Trust me."
Ethan blushed at the compliment and tried to hide his smile behind his hand. You chuckled, a soft and melodic sound that made Ethan's heart flutter in his chest.
Eventually, it became a routine for Ethan to join you and Chad in the mornings. Ethan found himself growing more comfortable with each passing day, thanks in part to Chad's relentless teasing and encouragement. As the days turned into weeks, he found himself looking forward to those early morning jogs, not just for the exercise but for the chance to spend time with you.
One day, as you all returned to the apartment after a particularly invigorating run, Ethan couldn't help but muster the courage to ask you a question that had been on his mind for a while.
"I've been meaning to ask you something." he began, trying to keep his voice steady. You slowed your pace and looked at him with a friendly smile as Chad walked ahead, getting his keys out.
"Well," he started, feeling a bit nervous, "I was wondering if you'd like to grab coffee or breakfast with me."
You cracked a smile, and Ethan felt a surge of hope. The fact that you were sweaty and panting suddenly dawned on you, and you felt a wave of embarrassement go through you as Ethan stared at you, waiting for a response.
You chuckled softly at the unexpected request, brushing a strand of hair from your face as you considered his proposition. "I'd love to," you replied with a warm smile. "But maybe we should both clean up first before we grab breakfast. Running gear and coffee shops don't really mix."
Ethan felt a mix of relief and excitement wash over him. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea," he agreed, feeling a bit self-conscious about his own disheveled appearance. "How about I come by later, and we can figure out a time?"
"Sounds perfect," you said as you reached the front door. Chad had already disappeared into their apartment, leaving the two of you alone to give you some privacy. As he watched you head into your own apartment, Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of triumph.
He had finally mustered the courage to ask you out, and you had said yes.
The second he stepped into his own apartment, he was met with a smirky Chad. He was leaning against the kitchen counter, a knowing grin on his face as he watched Ethan’s cheeks grow a pink-ish tint.
"Well, well, well, look who's finally making a move," he teased.
Ethan couldn't help but roll his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," he replied, his embarrassment turning into a playful smile. "You can say you played matchmaker successfully." Chad chuckled, walking over to give Ethan a friendly pat on the back.
"I knew you had it in you, buddy," Chad said with a wink, “But you took so long, this month has been so painful to me as your official wing-man.”
Ethan couldn't help but laugh at Chad's dramatics. “Whatever.” He rushed back to his room, getting freshly showered and dressed.
He kept touching up his curls, ignoring the fact that Chad was staring at him from the couch, trying to hold in his laugh.
"What's so funny?" Ethan groaned.
Chad finally burst into laughter. "You, man. You're acting like it's your first date ever. Relax, it's just breakfast."
"Easy for you to say, Mr. Charismatic. Some of us need a bit more prep."
Before Chad could tease him some more, a quiet knock on the door made both of their heads turn. “She’s picking you up?”
Ethan rolled his eyes and hurriedly checked himself in the mirror one last time, making sure his hair was in place before heading to the door. Chad simply grinned and gave him a thumbs-up as he answered the door.
There you stood, looking refreshed and ready, no trace of the earlier sweat and fatigue. Your hair was down, and Ethan couldn't help but stare.
He greeted you with a warm smile, feeling a surge of excitement mixed with a hint of nervousness.
"Hey," you said, "Ready for breakfast?"
You returned his smile with one of your own, and Ethan felt a sense of ease wash over him. "Absolutely," he replied. "Lead the way."
Reaching for his wrist, you gently pulled him closer to you, and Ethan could feel his breath get caught up in this throat. You gave Chad a smile and pulled at Ethan again, making him stumble a little as you lead the way.
The two of you entered a cozy little cafe, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeting you as you stepped inside. You chose a corner table by the window, and as you settled into your seats, Ethan couldn’t help but smile.
“This place is nice," Ethan commented, taking in the warm ambiance of the café. He couldn't help but feel grateful for Chad's persistence in pushing him to ask you out.
You nodded, looking around the café. "It's one of my favorites," you replied. "Their pastries are amazing."
As you began to recommend some of your favorite items on the menu, Ethan found himself hanging on to your every word, captivated not just by the food suggestions, but by you. A hair strand fell onto your face as you spoke excitedly, and Ethan stared at it as he thought of what you would do if he tucked it behind your ear, held your face and kissed you like he’s been wishing to do for the past month.
“I think I’ll get the apple turnover…” you said, eyeing the small menu paper in your hands. Ethan hummed, still staring at you. “What about you?”
He cleared his throat, “Uhm… me too, yeah. That sounds nice.”
The second the pastries got to your table, Ethan couldn't help but notice the twinkle in your eyes as you took that first bite of your apple turnover. "You have to try it." you held the pastry towards him. He stared at your hand for a second and reached to gently grab your wrist to hold it still while he bit down on the treat. The taste was even better than he had expected, and he couldn't help but let out a satisfied "Mmm"
You giggled at his reaction, and it was like music to Ethan's ears. "I told you," you said with a playful grin. "Their pastries are amazing."
He nodded and he looked down at his plate, feeling giddy by the small interaction you’d just had. You smiled at him, “So, what took you so long to ask me out?" you asked, resting your head on your hand and looking at him with a closed-mouth smile.
Ethan felt his cheeks flush slightly at the question, "Well," he began, “Uhm…”
“Hmm?” “I just wasn’t sure if you’d want to come.”
You chuckled softly, your eyes locking onto his as you leaned in a bit closer. "Ethan," you said in a gentle tone, "I've been hoping you'd ask me out for a while now."
"Really?" Ethan replied, a hint of disbelief in his voice.
Your smile widened. "Yes, really."
Reaching across the table you placed your hand on top of his, sending a warm and reassuring squeeze. He leaned in a little closer to you, his voice filled with a newfound confidence.
"I've been wanting to get to know you better for a long time." he admitted, his eyes locked onto yours.
Your cheeks took on a faint rosy hue, and you didn't break eye contact. "Well, I'm here now, aren't I?" you replied softly. "And I'm looking forward to getting to know you too, Ethan."
Ethan gulped, fixing his hair with his free hand as he tried not to focus on the fact that you hadn’t moved your hand yet. “Chad’s always talking non-stop about you,” you said.
Ethan couldn't help but chuckle. "He’s been trying to get me to ask you out for so long."
"He kept telling me how great you are, and I can definitely see why."
Ethan's heart swelled with happiness, making a mental note to thank Chad the second he got home. "I'm glad he didn't scare you away with the constant praise," he said, his thumb gently caressing the back of your hand.
"Not at all. In fact, he made me even more curious to meet you," Ethan’s lips ticked up slightly, trying to hide the fact that he was close to grinning like a middle-schooler. “He insisted that you weren’t a runner, I was surprised when you agreed to join us.”
He cleared his throat and let out a short laugh, “I’m not. I hate it.”
You gave him a look, furrowing your brows in confusion. “I… I kinda joined because you asked.”
Ethan's confession made your heart skip a beat. "You joined just for me?" you asked, a warm smile spreading across your face. The fact that he had pushed himself out of his comfort zone for you was both surprising and endearing to you.
Ethan nodded, his cheeks slightly pink. "I wanted to spend more time with you." he let go of your hand to brush it over his cheeks, trying to calm himself down by his sudden forwardness.
Your smile grew even brighter, and he reached across the table to hold your hand again shyly. "I'm really glad you did," you said sincerely. You moved your hand to the tips of his fingers and Ethan made a move to hold it again, but you ran your nails over his skin slightly.
Ethan shivered at the sensation, a pleasant tingling running down his spine. "I am too," he admitted softly, "And I hope we can spend more time together."
You leaned in a little closer, eyes never leaving his. "I'd like that," you replied, your voice low and filled with warmth. "A lot."
Ethan couldn't help but feel a shiver of excitement at your touch. Your fingers entwined with his, and he realized just how much he had been craving this connection with you.
Time seemed to fly by, and before he knew it, the two of you had spent hours together, lost in conversation and laughter. It felt like no time had passed at all when you finally glanced at your watch and realized how late it had gotten.
"Oh wow, I didn't realize it was so late," you said with a hint of regret in your voice.
Ethan nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of disappointment that your time together was coming to an end. "Yeah, time really flew by."
You reached for your wallet, ready to pay the bill, but Ethan gently stopped you. "Let me take care of it," he insisted.
He gave you a smile as he grabbed his wallet, a small Grogu sticker on its corner. You bit down on your bottom lip, holding back a smile as Ethan paid for both of you. He blushed when you called him adorable.
You and Ethan strolled down the sidewalk, hands linked together and a comfortable silence between the two of you. Ethan couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. He had finally taken the leap and asked you out, and it had turned into a wonderful morning.
Reluctantly, you walked Ethan back to his apartment building. You stood at the entrance, facing each other. Ethan finally broke the silence, his voice soft but sincere. "I'm so glad I finally asked you out."
“Yeah, me too.” you grinned, “I never thought you’d get past staring at me when I was getting my mail.” you teased him. Ethan choked up, "I, uh, guess I was pretty obvious, huh?"
You chuckled, reaching out to gently brush a strand of hair away from his forehead. "It's cute, Ethan." You leaned in, your lips brushing against his cheek in a soft, sweet kiss. Not knowing where to put his hands, he moved them to your waist, pulling at the hem of your shirt to get you closer to him. You pulled away, and you gave him a smile that made his heart race.
Your fingers rested against his cheek. "I had a really great time today, Ethan," you said softly, your eyes locked onto his. He nodded, feeling a sense of warmth wash over him.
"Me too," he replied, his voice filled with genuine affection. "I can't wait to do it again."
"I'll hold you to that."
Ethan squeezed your waist before letting go, giving you a smile. He reached for your hand, and mimicked the gesture you had done to him hours before, playing with the tips of your fingers before bringing them up to his lips and kissing them gently. “I’ll see you tomorrow? We could do this again after the run?”
You nodded, your eyes sparkling with happiness. "Definitely."Ethan leaned down, pressing his lips against your forehead once, before pulling back with a grin. You let go of his hands, shying away as he reached for his keys, mentally preparing himself for a whole bunch of ‘matchmaker Chad’ jokes.

Yang Jungwon
Idk. I could see him being so annoying at first despite being the one begging for forgiveness. But, I guess that's just him being desperate because aside from the boys, you're his only friend. Also, you guys rarely fight or argue. So, if you refuse to speak to him, he will slowly succumb to insanity.
"It's dinner time." Jungwon knocked on your door. You ignored him. "It's dinner time," he repeated with his stern voice.
After a while, when you still didn't respond to his calls, you heard your doorknob click. You immediately pulled your comforter up and hid yourself like a caterpillar in a cocoon.
"Yah." He forcefully grabbed your comforter out of your body, successfully yeeting it away from you. You looked at him with a blank face. He frowned. "Are you still not talking to me?" You scoffed. He buried his face in his palms and started pacing back and forth.
You rolled your eyes.
And since you didn't really want to talk to him now, "Hey, Alexa. How do you tell someone to get the fuck out of your face?" you said out of spite, grabbing your comforter back from him.
A robotic female voice suddenly chimed in, showing results.
Jungwon groaned.
He sighed in exasperation. "Okay, fine. I messed up."
You rolled your eyes again.
"Hey Alexa, how do you tell someone to—"
"Okay, okay, okay. I was the douchebag for trying to come between you and Riki." His lips formed into a straight line, knees meeting your carpeted floor as he kneeled.
You scoffed.
You raised your brows. You waved your hands in front of him, signaling that he should get up.
"I'm sorry. Please just talk to me again." He begged. You raised your brows. "I will wash the dishes for 2 full weeks..." He sighed in defeat.
Fair enough.
Tumblr media
Nishimura Riki
The creaking of your bedroom door in the middle of you binge-watching a scary documentary? Don't worry, that's just Ni-ki attempting to turn your bedroom lights on, fully knowing that you hate it when it's bright in your room. Don't get him wrong though, this is just his way of apologizing; annoying you to the core until you acknowledge his presence out of wrath.
"Asshole." You screamed, hearing his footsteps echo from outside your door.
"Asshole!" He repeated.
You sighed, gluing your eyes back at your laptop screen again. But after a few minutes of peace and solitude, you saw a head pop out of your door frame again, grinning mischievously. And then, everything went pitch black. After a couple of seconds, the lights turned on again. Then, pitch black. Then, turned on again.
Then, he ran away.
If eyes could throw daggers, your twin would lay dead on the floor right now.
"Asshole!" You shouted again.
"Asshole!" He mocked all over again, too.
You stomped your feet and marched towards the light switch to turn it off with a loud thud. You know, you almost convinced yourself that you should be the bigger person and let your brother's shenanigans slide. But, when you heard him giggling unapologetically outside your bedroom door still, your nose suddenly flared in a much intense rage.
"I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE YOU FREAKI—"
But then, you were suddenly choked out of air by a hug.
Riki batted his eyelashes sarcastically. "You've already forgiven me, right?" He lifted you up in the air, making you squirm.
Tumblr media
Park Jongseong
Princess treatment. He doesn't really talk to you first until you talk to him first. But, he'll do things that will certainly lift off whatever grudge you have for him.
"Hey mom? Could you pass me the salt please?" You said. But Jay was quick to pass it to you instead. He even slices up your steak quietly for you because he knows that you hate the feeling of cutlery being glided onto a glass plate.
You were about to say "Thank you" but you remembered that you're supposed to be mad at him right now so you start digging in instead.
Some time when you guys were having dessert, a pile of vanilla ice cream was suddenly transferred on top of your already ice cream topped chocolate cake. You saw Jay looking straight ahead at his food, as if he didn't just give out his own ice cream because he knows you like it.
You felt a little bad for ignoring him.
"So, Y/n... Did you like your necklace?" Your mom broke the silence at the dining table, feeling the tension between you and your older brother.
You beamed at your mom and replied with a happy nod. "I was surprised to see it on my bed earlier. I really like it, mom. It's really pretty. Thank you so much." You smiled.
Your mom shook her head.
"Oh honey, that's not from us. That's from Jay," she corrected you.
You coughed awkwardly, looking towards Jay who was minding his own business beside you.
You teared up a little. Now, you feel really, really bad for snapping at him. After all, he just wants the best for you.
You sighed.
"Oppa..." You mumbled, fidgeting with your thumb, biting your lip. Jay turned slowly towards you. You tried to say something but you didn't really know where to start. In the end, you were only able to let out a pathetic "Sorry."
But then, Jay ruffled your hair affectionately.
"No. I'm sorry for saying mean things to you, baby. You're right... Jungwon treats you well and I'm just overreacting." He shook his head, berating himself.
"I'm... It's just that..." You fumbled with your words.
He ruffled your hair again.
"It's okay. Eat up now. Your food is getting cold."
Tumblr media
Park Sunghoon
Oh. OH. Don't get me started with this guy. His pride is overflowing, and even though he looks like a kicked puppy whenever you ignore him, he'd somehow find a way to twist the situation, trying to make you beg for his attention instead.
"Oh yeah. YEAH SURE. Y/N's ignoring me so I guess I'm just gonna sell the TXT concert ticket that I bought for her." He'd side-eye you while emphasizing the word 'sell' so you immediately turned your head to his side, feeling betrayed.
You're not sure if he's joking or what because you never knew he bought you concert tickets in the first place.
You rolled your eyes mindlessly though.
Whatever.
"Oh. Okay. I guess I'll go to Japan with Sunoo instead." Sunghoon sing-songed when he saw you entering your guys' house through the main door, as if he wasn't quietly sulking in the living room earlier, waiting for you to come back home.
You scoffed now. You guys already planned on spending summer in Japan together, and it was supposed to be your first out-of-the-country trip without your parents.
Obviously, you know that this is just him trying to get your attention... But, fully knowing your brother's pettiness level, you wouldn't be surprised if he actually went on with his threat.
So, you sighed, facing his way.
"You're the worst." You muttered, storming out of the house, leaving a dumbfounded Sunghoon on his own.
In the end, Sunghoon finally came to his senses and apologized properly to you. Of course, you ended up forgiving him.
Tumblr media
Sim Jaeyun
Unlike the other members, he'll say sorry immediately and acknowledge his faults rather than doing unnecessary shenanigans just to keep his pride intact.
"2 minutes?" Jake asks, making you nod.
"Yup, wait for two minutes and try again." Your voice sounded so mechanical as you glanced at your wristwatch, still beyond pissed at your brother for ruining your supposed date night with Riki. As per his words, you guys are way too young to date and to be left alone together.
You get that he's very protective and he means well... but he treats you like a freaking kid most of the time, and it's actually annoying you to the core.
"2 minutes? Oh, okay." Jake sighs, stretching his arms a little then adjusts his cap.
You raised your brows at him.
"Dude... What are you doing?" You looked at him confusedly.
"Hmmm?" Jake replied in the same confused manner as you are, hitting you with his puppy eyes as he stood outside your room awkwardly.
You pointed at his hands.
Jake looked at his hand and immediately hid it behind his back, chuckling embarrassedly.
"Oh... I was counting to... you know... until 2 minutes is over... so I could apologize again..."
You sighed, not long after, letting out a chuckle.
"You're such a loser sometimes, you know?"
"So... does this mean you forgive me or..?" Jake asks, fiddling with his nails.
You shook your head.
"No. Not yet. Until you explain everything to Ni-ki and clarify that I didn't purposely ditch our date, you're dead to me, Jake." You jokingly threw a punch.
Tumblr media
Lee Heeseung
Offers the most proper apology out of them all. Poor Heeseung, he'd just feel so guilty about it that you could almost see the guilt flooding from his eyes.
"Kuya?" You gasped surprisedly when you heard a knock on your door, only to be greeted by an apologetic looking Heeseung, carrying at least 3 plastic bags with his arms. "It's 2 AM... I thought you were supposed to stay at your dorm right now?" Your voice was quiet and stoic as you were still wary about the recent argument you just had with him over the phone when you told him about your plans of spending summer with your guys' toxic relatives.
Heeseung cared for you so much. Growing up in a highly dysfunctional family and having to care for you since you were in diapers, despite him being unable to fend for himself properly yet, he's practically your parent at this point. And when he finally debuted as an idol and earned enough money, he immediately fetched you back from your hometown and enrolled you in a prestigious school in Seoul to keep you away from the toxicity and to have you closer by his side too.
Heeseung developed a sense of protectiveness towards you, which you understand well. He despises the fact that you guys were getting pushed over by your so-called 'family', and hearing you mutter from your own mouth that you're gonna spend your summer with them just made him go batshit crazy... because, why would you willingly step back into the den you guys tried so hard to break free from? He didn't understand.
What he didn't understand too is that you're willing to reconnect. After all, they're family. That's why you got into an argument. An argument so bad that he raised his voice at you for the first time in God knows how long, and now he's here, in front of your dorm room looking so ashamed and sorry when he's supposed to be at his company right now.
"Get in, kuya." You told him when you realized that you guys were awkwardly standing in the middle of your dormitory's hallway. "The guards let you in? It's 2 AM... Did you drive here all alone?" You asked worriedly.
Heeseung plopped down on your couch and tapped the space beside him.
He looked at you sadly... You looked at him worriedly.
"You know how much I care for you, right?" He asks.
You nodded.
"Okay. That's good. I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier... You can spend the summer with them if you really want to. I just got really worried." He assured, explaining. You looked at him with a melancholic smile. Now you feel bad for being mad at him earlier. He just wants the best for you. "I—... I'm... I'm real—"
You cut Heeseung off with a hug.
"No. I'm sorry, kuya." You sobbed.

Kim Sunoo
Would ignore you too but only for 2 days. Istg. He'd be knocking on your door holding two tubs of ice cream without saying anything. Weirdly enough, despite multiple bickerings and misunderstandings between you growing up, neither of you says sorry to each other. Somehow you guys just make up after a few days. And this time, it was no different.
"Hey..." Sunoo greets coolly, placing two tubs of ice cream on the counter table.
You were about to reply to his greeting, but you remembered, right, you're mad at him because he was so against your relationship with Sunghoon.
"I brought ice cream..." Sunoo's voice was cautiously casual as he plunked down two tubs of ice cream on the counter.
You eyed him warily, trying to stay mad. But two tubs of ice cream were hard to resist. "Uh-huh," you replied noncommittally, grabbing a spoon.
The two of you sat there, each digging into your respective tubs with exaggerated seriousness. It was almost comical how you avoided eye contact, each pretending the other didn't exist.
After a few spoonfuls (okay, maybe more like two), you couldn't help it. "You know, you're ridiculous," you blurted out, ice cream still in your mouth.
Sunoo looked up, a hint of sassines in his eyes. "Says the one dating Sunghoon."
You rolled your eyes but couldn't suppress a snort. "Yeah, well, he's better than you at sharing ice cream."
Sunoo scoffed. "As if! I brought two tubs, didn't I?"
"Yeah, but who gets the last bite?" you challenged, trying not to laugh.
He grinned, a genuine one this time. "I guess we'll have to battle it out."
And just like that, the tension melted away faster than your ice cream. You started playfully arguing about who got to lick the tub clean, throwing spoonfuls at each other and making a mess of the kitchen. By the end of it, there were more ice cream splatters on both of you than in the tubs.
"Alright, truce," Sunoo declared, wiping his face with a paper towel and trying to look serious again.
"Truce," you agreed.

The pre-wedding meandering is as boring and dreadful as you thought it would be.
Swirling your glass of champagne, you lean against the far wall of the room, a smile carefully plastered on your face. The lively chatter and laughter of the crowd around you fade into the background. You take a slow sip, savoring the bubbles that tickle your tongue, pretending to enjoy the celebration.
In truth, you couldn't care less about mingling with the crowd or being seen by it. You’re here because it's your sister’s pre-wedding party, and you need to keep up the facade of being happy for her. After all, everyone expects you to be thrilled about the upcoming nuptials.
Oh the things you did for your sister.
Speaking of the devil... Truly, the only exciting thing about all of this so far has been seeing her dear friend who dropped out of university. The sheer horror on Da-jeong’s face as she greeted her.
You see your sister, radiant as ever, chatting animatedly with the guests. Her laughter rings out, clear and bright, drawing everyone's attention. She looks genuinely happy, the center of everyone's admiration and affection.
You grip your glass of champagne a bit tighter, feeling the cool stem press into your palm. A frown tugs at the corners of your mouth as you watch her bask in the spotlight. The warmth of the room feels stifling, contrasting sharply with the envy settling in your chest. You take another sip of champagne, your smile faltering just slightly as you struggle to maintain your composure.
You start to wonder when everything went wrong in your life. You dedicated yourself to your studies, always striving for excellence, while Da-jeong was carefree, attending parties and messing around. Despite her seemingly reckless behavior, she always managed to captivate everyone’s attention.
From childhood, your sister had been the center of attention, effortlessly drawing admiration from family and friends. You worked hard, hoping to gain the same recognition from your parents, but it always felt like you were in her shadow. The spotlight was hers, no matter how much you accomplished.
A bitter thought creeps in: you wish it were you gaining the spotlight, not your sister. Your grip on the glass tightens to the point of discomfort, and you can't help but glare at Da-jeong as she basks in her moment of glory.
You imagine her wedding dress stained red by your hands. How selfish she is. After all the opportunities you gave her. No gratitude, no acknowledgment. Just her, always in the spotlight. You wish they could see her for who she truly is. The envy burns hotter. The champagne glass feels like it might shatter.
You, always in the background. Her, always the favorite. Your hard work overlooked. Her careless charm adored. It's not fair. It’s never been fair.
It's her fault. Not yours. Not yo-
"You don't seem very happy."
The grip on the champagne glass in your hand lessens as you're suddenly startled by a voice. You quickly turn to face the person, forcing a smile onto your lips.
"Whatever do you mean, darling? I'm perfectly fine," you say, giggling lightly. You hope the sound of your laughter is convincing enough to make them forget the tension they just witnessed, wishing they would move on and leave you to your thoughts.
"In my eyes, you were glaring at the bride, angrily might I add," the person says with a slight grin, sipping their own champagne while looking at you. You grit your teeth in slight annoyance, biting the tip of your tongue to refrain from snapping.
"Really? That's quite the imagination you have," you reply with a forced chuckle, trying to keep your tone light, taking another sip of your champagne, hoping to divert their attention. "I must have been lost in thought. You know how these family events can be."
The person presses further, their grin widening. "Lost in thought, you say? Looked more like jealousy to me."
"Mind your own business!" You retort sharply. A few people nearby glance your way, their conversations pausing. Realizing your outburst has drawn attention, you quickly put on a sweet facade and apologize to the onlookers.
"Sorry about that, everyone. Just a bit of a misunderstanding," you say with a charming smile.
As the crowd’s attention shifts back to their own conversations, you turn back to the person, scowling. You take in her appearance: black shoulder-length hair tied into a messy ponytail, a black vinyl trench coat with a white undershirt, a red belt cinched around her waist, and red gloves on her hands. Recognition dawns on you—she's your sister's ex-friend from university.
“What do you want?” You ask, your voice low, as you place the empty glass of champagne on the waitress’s tray, offering a polite thank you. You turn back to the woman, your gaze steady.
“I was just curious about why you were looking at the bride like that,” she says, her tone almost playful. She takes a leisurely sip of her own champagne, still smiling, then sets her glass down, and extends her hand toward you. “I’m Bok-su, by the way. We haven’t fully met yet."
"Not in person, no. I'm Choi [Name]. My sister spoke a lot about you when she was at uni," you say with a polite smile, extending your gloved hand to her.
Bok-su takes your hand, her touch unexpectedly warm, and she brings it to her lips, pressing a light kiss on the back of it. Her eyes hold a knowing glint as she releases your hand.
"Interesting," she murmurs, a hint of amusement in her voice. "I didn’t realize I’d left such an impression. I've heard quite a bit about you too. Always the diligent one, weren't you?"
“Yes, well, someone had to be,” you reply lightly, feeling a bit flushed from the unexpected kiss. You quickly withdraw your hand and reach for the glass of champagne. “So, what brings you here tonight, Bok-su? And judging by your attire, you seem to be dressed for a funeral.”
"Your sister said the same thing. I sure was dressed for the right occasion," Bok-su chuckles softly, placing a hand over her mouth to muffle the sound, her eyes never leaving yours. She glances momentarily at the groom, ensuring he remains in her peripheral vision.
You choke on the champagne you were drinking and caught off guard by her comment. You let out a small cough as the liquid goes down the wrong pipe, your cheeks flushing with embarrassment and something else you can't quite place.
"I wasn't expecting that." You say, trying to regain your composure, your voice steadier now. you manage, dabbing at your mouth with a napkin. "So, you're here to stir things up?"
"Maybe." She says, her tone light but her eyes serious, Bok-su tilts her head slightly, studying you with an intensity that would send a shiver down anyone's spine.
You hum thoughtfully in response, swirling your second glass of champagne as you scan the crowd, searching for your sister. The conversation settles into a comfortable silence, the soft hum of the party filling the background.
"You didn't do it," you say, breaking the silence as you continue to gaze at the crowd, your glass still in hand. You can feel Bok-su bristle beside you.
"What?" Bok-su asks, shooting you a disgruntled look. You glance at her from the corner of your eye, her expression unreadable.
"You didn't kill the patient that day," you continue, a sneer creeping onto your face as you finally turn to face her fully. You can see the bafflement in her eyes, though she tries to mask it. "And you're here to take revenge on my sister."
"You've done your homework," she murmurs, her tone both admiring and wary. Bok-su's baffled expression only lasts a moment before she regains her composure, a slow smile spreading across her face.
"It didn't make sense for you to leave university like that," you reply, your tone dripping with a mix of charm and cunning. taking a leisurely sip of your champagne, letting the moment stretch out. "And besides it seems that i will let your plan happen."
"Touché," she replies, her eyes flickering with a mixture of mania and excitement. "It appears that i might have a role for you to play in."
"And who says that i want to join in?" You reply sharply, a frown tugs at the corners of your mouth as you look at her.
"I saw the hatred in your eyes as you looked at your sister," she says calmly, leaning in slightly, her breath grazing in your ear. "Don't you crave a taste of that spotlight, even just a glimmer of fame in your life?"
Her words hit a nerve, and you stiffen, your jaw tightening. “You think you know me so well, don’t you?”
“i know i didn't lie." she says softly, her voice almost a purr. Bok-su’s smile remains, though it’s tinged with a hint of satisfaction. "I just have a feeling you’re tired of cleaning up her messes.”
Her words linger in the air, and despite your attempt to remain composed, you can feel a flicker of doubt within you. The idea of craving recognition, of wanting just a taste of the spotlight, unsettles you more than you care to admit.
“I…” You start, but your voice trails off as you struggle to find the right words.
“Think about it.” she continues, her voice low and persuasive. “You have the intelligence and the charm. Why waste it playing being the second choice?”
You let out a low growl, processing her words, the struggle evident on your face as you wrestle with your emotions. Finally, you let out a reluctant sigh, your resolve hardening. “Alright, you’ve made your point.”
Bok-su’s eyes gleam with satisfaction, but she remains silent, waiting for you to continue.
“You’re right,” you admit, the words tasting bitter but liberating. “I am tired of cleaning up her messes. I want more than just standing in the background while she takes all the credit.”
Bok-su nods, her expression serious. “Then we have a common goal. We can help each other achieve what we want.”
“And what exactly do you propose?” You tilt your head slightly, studying her.
Bok-su steps closer, invading your personal space. Her proximity makes your pulse quicken, and you realize you’ve been holding your breath. You let it out slowly, feeling the warmth of her breath against your throat. Bok-su leans in, her lips almost brushing your ear as she whispers.
“We’re going to make Da-jeong atone.”

Made of Yarn and Butterflies - Mitsuya Takashi
Content: Fluff
Tropes: Shy, younger reader
Summary: maybe you've had your timid eye on him for a while now...
Vixen's two cents: based off of very real first knitting experiences. seriously don't start with Mohair its a nightmare. anyway, I'm so happy to finally be writing for Mitsuya, I can't believe I haven't yet cause he's one of my fav's frrr. Yeah, also thanks so much to @anahryal for proofreading for me! also, REQUESTS ARE OPEN! now enjoy!
“Do you knit?” The stranger asks, breaking the nearly unbearable silence between you two. Well, he's not a stranger- he’s your girl-bests friend’s brother’s best friend, and since the two Shiba siblings were bickering about who-knows-what upstairs, they had left the two of you unattended.
You blink instead of answering the question, taking a moment to collect yourself from the daze he had snapped you out of. Slowly, the words materialized in your head, and the question he asked finally arrived in your brain.
Your brows furrow a little, and your head tilts to the side, confused. “Yeah, how did you know?” Your voice feels foreign to yourself when you hear it back, and you want to dig a hole and jump right into the depths because of the way he smiles at you.
He looks down at your hands, reaching across the table and looking into your eyes “May I?” You’re not sure what he’s asking for but you nod your head yes, and in response he takes both your hands in his.
His hands are warm and firm as they hold yours, and when he runs his thumbs over the sides of your fingers, your head spins a little. “Those marks on your index are a dead giveaway.” You look down to see what he’s talking about, and you want to pull your hands back when you realize he’s talking about the hearing blisters that sit on the sides of your pointer fingers.
In response, his grip on your hands tighten a little, and he looks up at you and smiles again. “Don’t. I understand how they came to be and I respect it. I can’t knit even if I tried my hardest, and believe me, I have.” you feel your face get warm as his rough hands cradle your own, and you look down to see where they meet.
It's silent again for a few moments, but it's not uncomfortable. This time he waits patiently for you to answer and you could thank the gods for him being so unbothered by your coy manner.
"What did you try to knit?" you asked, still not looking into his eyes, but you could tell that he was smiling at you again. "Ah, well, I thought that something with repetitive patterns would be easy, so I started with a sweater."
Your brows furrowed and you glanced up to look at him. "You started with a sweater?" He laughed at your rather offended tone, "Yeah, and that's not even the worst part! I used Mohair so I had no idea where any of my work started or ended, and I could forget counting rows because I couldn't tell the difference between one and the next!"
Your lips pulled up into a smile, picturing the ever-confident Mitsuya struggle against a ball of yarn and a pair of needles, and the more you pictured it, the funnier it got. Soon you were giggling aloud, laughing along with him as if there was nothing else in the world.
Once you both had calmed down, you noticed that whilst in the fit, his hands had separated from yours. Just as you were about to speak, your stomach got that all too familiar rouse again, and you felt yourself shrink away from he comfort you just found.
This doesn't mean anything.
He doesn't know you.
He doesn't care.
"Hey?" his voice was soft when he called out to you again, concerned. Your gaze snapped back to him, eyes meeting his and holding contact with the cool grey that looked your way.
"You were gonna say something?" his voice was lower, quieter this time, almost as if he was careful of scaring you off.
"I could teach you." you mumbled sheepishly, impressed by yourself for still holding eye contact with him. He shook his head a tiny bit and blinked. "What was that?"
You cursed your voice for getting stuck in your throat again and clicked your tongue quietly, annoyed at yourself. "I could teach you if you'd like?".
You looked away the moment you croaked your proposal, unwilling to face the inevitable rejection, and maybe even humiliation you would be exposed to.
what were you thinking? him? learn from you? come on now girl! why would he actually take you up on that, he's got plenty of girls to teach him in the home eco-club that probably knit way better than you, not to mention that you're like two years younger than he is, why would he take advice from someone younger than hi-
"I'd love that." his deep voice was accompanied by another one of his stunning smiles, and he looked at you with sincere eyes. "Really, I'd love that."
And just like that, the sinking feeling in your stomach dissipated, leaving a flurry of tiny little butterflies that felt all fluffy against your warm skin.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
No one had to know you adored alien robots, no one needed to know. Especially your earth friends. Or the robots themselves for that matter. Absolutely no one was going to know. It was definitely a secret you could and should keep to yourself.
You had been working closely with the autobots, and had ended up in the lab with several of them, helping with whatever they needed. Ratchet seemed the most grateful for that. You were both learning and helping  each other at the same time. He got to learn more about human culture and you got to learn about Cybertron.
That is where you started to realize you maybe liked robots a lot more than humans. Ratchet was so sweet and thoughtful.
One day, while working with Ratchet, Ironhide entered the lab. You had little interaction with him before that moment and were honestly kind of nervous around him. But as you got to know the weapons specialist you started to like him as well…
But… No one had had to know.
Until, one of your scientist friend’s decided to drop the worst bomb possible right in your lap.
“Hey.” A voice that was not Ironhide’s or Ratchet’s rang through the lab. You rolled your eyes involuntarily before turning around to look at him. “We need to talk.”
“Oh,” Your eyes widened momentarily, “That’s a good way to greet someone, Mark.”
“What?” Mark looked taken aback.
“I have anxiety, that’s not a thing I generally like to hear…”
“Oh,” Mark visibly grew anxious, causing you to mimic the panic. “Well, I just, I wanted to ask you out-”
You froze, “Like on a date?”
“I mean, like if you’re into it-”
“I’m sorry,” You interrupted him quickly, not thinking much about him not finishing his sentence, “You’re my friend-”
It was his turn to cut you off. “You’re friend zoning me? I like you a lot!”
“You can get over that, don’t worry.”
Mark’s eyes narrowed. “Is this- Are you-”
You cocked your head at him as his wheels turned in his big scientist brain. Something clicked. But not necessarily correctly. Wires crossed somewhere.
“You’re fucking the robots!” His voice echoed through the lab.
You figured ‘No, but I want to be,’ was not a tactful answer. So, you did the next less tactful thing. Which did not help your case at all. You grew defensive, and yelled back. “No!” It sounded more like a question than a statement. “Why would I- What are you on about?”
“You hang out with- with those-”
“Autobots.”
“Shut up!” He was growing furious. Your eyes widened and you decided to get the fuck away from him. Without thinking you turned to walk away and his hand grabbed your shoulder, turning you right back around. “You are fucking the robots!”
You were frozen. The large hangar door opened and Ironhide and Ratchet walked in, seemingly aware of the yelling.
“What’s going on?” Ironhide’s voice was gruff and his optics were narrowed. “Why are you yelling at Y/N?”
You swallowed. “You aren’t helping my case…” You turned around, speaking through gritted teeth.
“Wow,” Mark scoffed, “you picked these two?”
“Picked us for what?” Ratchet cocked his head.
“Oh, don’t play dumb,” Mark rolled his eyes, “I figured out she was with you two.”
“Are you delusional?!” You finally snapped at him. “They would never like me like that! Drop this shit, get over me, and fucking leave!”
Mark stood there, staring at you, gawking. This time, whatever he was thinking, was definitely right. “You… You do like them…”
Ironhide crouched down, closing in on the scientist. “It’s best if you leave.” He growled out. “She won’t ask again.”
Mark gulped and decided it would be best to leave. You groaned and placed your head in your hands. “Thanks for that,” You sighed. “I didn’t know if he’d ever leave me alone.” You stood up straight and looked at Ironhide and Ratchet, “Well… Um. I’m gonna go to bed.”
“It’s mid afternoon, you do not go to sleep until after dark. Usually around ten o’clock.”
“Why do you know that?” Ironhide interrupted Ratchet.
“For the exact same reason you know what time Y/N is gonna be in the lab everyday of the week.”
Ratchet spoke with a matter of fact tone. He crossed his arms and for a moment, a brief moment, Ratchet and Ironhide’s optics met and they seemed to be glaring at each other. You were fast to jump in and break it up.
“Hey! I find it enduring! It’s nice you’ve picked up on those things! Well… It is a little weird that you know what time I go to bed… Who needs that knowledge?”
“Exactly!” Ironhide threw his servos up, “It’s weird!”
“But!” You went to reassure Ratchet, “It definitely isn’t as weird as what just happened!”
There was an awkward silence, one that you could only smile for so long for. Yoursmile grew awkward and your eyes went from Ratchet, to Ironhide, back to Ratchet, and dropped to the ground. You scratched the back of your neck and swallowed hard.
“Mark was right, wasn’t he?”
“I’m not fucking anyone!” Your hands went up and your eyes widened. “No,” Ironhide grumbled, his optics rolling, “he said you liked us. And I’m assuming he means the kind of ‘like’ that means you want to be more than friends.”
You did the only thing you could think of, “Aw, do you guys count me as a friend?”
“This isn’t about us.” Ironhide started.
“Yes it is.” Ratchet finished. “And yes we do. But, speaking for both of us here, we ‘like’ you.” He put air quotations around the word ‘like’.
Your eyes widened and you smiled. “Really?!”
Ironhide looked like he wanted to beat the shit out of Ratchet, but only briefly. “Don’t ever speak for me again.” His voice rumbled, and he glared at Ratchet. Then he turned towards you, optic ridges resting, causing his optics to soften slightly, and he crouched down to your level. “You seemed awfully enthusiastic at that confession-”
“I like, um- I would love to be more than friends with both of you…” Ratchet lit up, Ironhide close behind. You all three stood there a moment. “What now?” You asked. “I’ve never confessed to anyone, much less two someones.”
Ironhide and Ratchet seemed about as confused as you were, until an idea struck you. “Remember, Ratchet, when you said you wanted to learn more about human anatomy… Up close, and personally?”
It clicked for both Ratchet and Ironhide. Immediately they were closing in on you. “Wait!” You put our hands up. “We don’t need anyone walking in on us… I’ll lock the main doors, you go lock the hangar door. And, someone take care of the camera-”
Ironhide was quick to obliterate the camera in the corner of the room. Your eyes widened at his eagerness and you ran towards the door to lock it. You were back at the center of the room in what felt like seconds and you waited for Ratchet to return after he locked the door.
“Where to start…?” Ironhide examined you closely.
“I could get rid of these clothes for starters.” You were eager to begin stripping, and you were quickly exposed to them, standing in your underwear. Vulnerability hit and you began fidgeting. You weren’t sure where that burst of confidence came from, but it was suddenly gone.
“We do not have to do this. Not now, if you don’t want to.” Ratchet noticed your nervousness.
“Um, no! I want to! Really!” You swallowed hard, sure the sound echoed through the room, “Uh, I've never been this exposed in front of uh, Cybertronians…?” You sounded confused, your arms hugging you tightly.
“No worries,” Ironhide was closer to you than Ratchet, his optics observing you, “We’ve never never been this close to an organic before-” He looked like he wanted to get rid of your underwear.
Ratchet moved closer to you when you dropped your arms to your sides and it was his turn to observe. He reached out for you and even though you did not flinch away, he paused. “May I?” He politely asked.
“Of course.”
One of his fingers touched your stomach and when you sucked in from the cool feeling, Ratchet flinched back. You reassured him you were fine and he continued. “You are very soft,” He made mental notes. His hand grabbed for your waist and gave you a gentle squeeze. He pulled away and Ironhide started to butt in.
“My turn.”
Ironhide needed to know how soft you were. He grabbed for your thigh and the soft flesh moved with his hand. Ironhide cocked his head and looked at you. “Comfortable enough to get rid of these?” When you nodded, he asked another question. “Are they important to you?” You shook your head. They were ripped from you. The cool air caused you to gasp and close your legs.
“Why is it so damn cold in here?” You groaned.
“I don’t think you’ll be cold much longer…”
You relax and inhale deeply. With legs still slightly crossed, you reach to undo your bra. You let it fall to the floor and Ironhide and Ratchet are both very close to you again, looking at your breasts. You can’t help but awkwardly smile at them, Ironhide reaching out to touch them.
“I never knew how soft you would actually be-” Ratchet was in awe. “-I could just-”
He didn’t know what he could do. Him and Ironhide were stunned. Ironhide made the first move. “Get on the table right there.” With a nod, you obliged. You hopped onto the cool table and awaited more instructions. “Hm,” Ironhide was taking mental notes now, “You are very obedient.”
“She deserves a reward.” Ratchet was smiling.
“She’s much too small for our spikes-” Your eyes widened at Ironhide’s words, “-but I think I know a way to reward her.”
Ratchet did not have time to ask ‘how?’. Ironhide was moving too fast for Ratchet to have time to say anything. Your thighs were gently grabbed, Ironhide’s large servos being extremely gentle with you. Your legs were spread and Ironhide was in your business instantly. You leaned back slightly and waited for Ironhide’s next move.
“You aren’t much different than us in this department.” Ironhide examined you closer than before. “Can I- Hm, can I taste you?”
You wanted to hide your face. “Sure-” That was all it took. Ironhide’s head was between your legs, practically keeping them spread. His tongue was lapping at you, slowly at first. His optics were closed and he was obviously focused on every inch of you. You fell back on your forearms, resting them on the cool metal of the table. You stifled a moan.
“Be loud.” Ratchet blurted out, “We want to know how you feel.”
You nodded and as soon as Ironhide found your clit you let out a loud moan. Your head fell back and your eyes shut. A soft hum fell from your lips and your breathing quickened.
Ironhide kept doing his thing and caught on very quickly on what pace you liked and how roughly he could hold you.
“Ironhide-” You moaned out, “I’m gonna-” Your nails were digging into your palms. Ironhide understood. Your hips bucked upwards and Ironhide rumbled against you. It drove you over the edge. You were coming undone against his mouth and Ironhide was smiling against you.
A loud moan echoed through the lab as you came. You had half expected Ironhide to keep going, but suddenly, the feeling of him between your legs was gone.
“My turn,” Ratchet mimicked Ironhide’s earlier words.
“Did you just pull me away?
“Yes, I would like a taste,” Ratchet positioned himself between your legs, not even giving Ironhide his attention when he talked. Ratchet’s servos placed themselves on your waist and you leaned back again.
Ratchet was quick to begin to tongue fuck you. His tongue swirled around your clit before licking stripes up your pussy. His optics were not closed. They stayed on your eyes. He maintained eye contact with you as he ‘tasted’ you. He would slowly blink at you, and you were too stunned to look away.
Your hips bucked and Ratchet was quick to push them back down. You let out a soft whine and looked over at Ironhide briefly, who was just… watching. You looked back at Ratchet and everything in you started to tense. A knot formed in your stomach and you were coming undone again.
“Ratchet!” You exclaimed with eyes shut, head thrown back, and body tensed. Ratchet did not slow. You were squirming beneath him. “Fuck!”
A knock came from the hangar door. The only thing causing Ratchet to stop in his tracks.
You writhed with pleasure once he let you go, not registering the knock. You lied on the table and heard Ironhide shout something. You looked up and saw Ironhide with your clothes in one of his servos. He was trying to hand them to you.
“Hey,” Hound yelled from the other side of the hangar door, “Why do-” He paused, “Why do I smell… ‘Fluids’?” As soon as the words left his mouth were rushing to get dressed. “Is there a human in there?”
“Go away!” Ratchet yelled back.
“Ratchet and Ironhide?” Hound bellowed back, laughing loudly, “You both have a human in there?”
“The other scientists,” You started, finishing getting dressed, “they’re going to be here soon, asking about that camera. I should go…” Ratchet and Ironhide looked at you, optic ridges rising. “But, this doesn’t have to be it, not if you don't want it to be!”
Ratchet and Ironhide nodded, “We aren’t done with you yet.”

senku x gn!reader
set in ishigami village + volleyball player reader + fluff + light angst + light humor
as we know, senku isn’t very… sporty… fit… mm
“I’M DONE!” he heaves as he lays flat on the ground.
you huff, “we haven’t even started a match! all we’ve done is teach you the stances and-“
you go quiet when you know he isn’t even listening, his body is literally still as a dead body.
with a defeated, glum sigh, you walk away, teasingly walking over him to who knows where.
for certain, he’ll go back to his blueprints and try to please everyone except you.
first he saves ruri, then works night and day to prove how good his intellect is. it’s tiring, being on the side line.
speaking of side lines, you missed doing everything in your power to not have the ball go there.
you missed the thrill of running around, tensing your muscles for the ball’s impact and making up strategies to win
you sigh at the fond memory.
“so,” you jolt at someone’s voice, not having realized you were sitting on a rock and staring into space.
“kohaku,” you say with a gentle smile, not really in the mood to talk to anyone.
“what’s wrong? you seem pretty defeated, did you fight with senku?”
“hm? no, no we didn’t fight,” you shake your head.
“then?”
you turn to stare at her, fondly. “i don’t know man-“
“i’m a woman!”
“-i just miss playing volleyball. the thrill of it all. scraping your knees, your elbows when you fall from saving the ball. knocking into a groupmate and just… spending hours playing with friends… being competitive… i miss that.”
“volleyball…” kohaku mumbles, “is a game? sounds like a battle.”
you laugh, “almost! a battle to win and.. ah man,”
“woman.”
“i miss it.” you say, staring up into the sky. “i ask senku for just a moment…” you frown, “he has his own thing, something he loves. i don’t mind helping him, i know this is the best for humanity but, i just wish i had volleyball as my escape again.”
kohaku frowns, “what’s stopping you?”
you give her a look, “i don’t really have anyone to play with, senku made this ball for me and just gave it to me like he’s trying to get rid of a child.”
“that’s rude.”
“i guess,” you shrug.
“i still don’t get how you to are together,” she says honestly.
you smile, “me neither.”
she sees you sigh, looking anywhere with a saddened smile. “you know,” she starts, “while everyone appreciates the new things senku is showing and providing us, there’s no harm in learning games. after all, it’s something someone invented, right? something for people to also enjoy?”
you stare at her, surprised at this. “well.. yes-“
“then teach us! there’s lot’s of people in the village that would love a good competition! i’m sure sure of us warriors would be up for it!”
“are you serious?” you asks, heart racing with excitement.
“duh.”
and you stand up, following her back to the village. you see senku once more in his little world, a world you barely fit in.
but that’s okay, you’re looking forward to something more.
“volleyball!” you hear kohaku yell, “i dare you all to learn it and play!”
“hey, don’t force them-“ you try.
“it’s a game!” she grins.
“we have responsibilities, kohaku,” one of the warriors said.
“we could take a break,” another one says, “it’s pretty quiet today. “plus, games bring on challenges, no?” he asks you.
“well, yes. absolutely.” you smile, hoping you could at least round up four people.
“i’m down for a challenge!” another pipes up.
and soon, you got your six people, you and kohaku included. it was enough for you.
they were pretty good at listening and executing the practices and the stances. before long, they were ready to play.
it was so exiting, you’re pretty sure you were smiling the whole time, but your face doesn’t hurt.
what made you feel even better was that everyone else was enjoying it! two rounds later and a crowd started to form, mostly kids and teens but there was cheering and clapping.
you were soaring. and your team won.
“alright! guys! it’s getting dark!” gen says with a clap.
“that was great!” you laughed, drenched in sweat.
“water,” kohaku gasped.
“get your water over here please,” gen yells.
“good game guys! y’all learned fast!” you said as everyone ran towards gen.
“or you’re good at teaching,” senku’s voice came from behind.
you tensed, unsure whether to be petty or forgive him for his lack of attention and affection.
“maybe,” you end up saying. you don’t pay him more mind as you try to walk over to gen.
“here,” senku says, grabbing your arm with one hand and the other shoves water in your face.
“oh,” you take it awkwardly. “thanks.”
he stares at you before furiously wiping his hand on his coat.
you spit out the water you were gulping down. “you’re still disgusted with my sweat!?”
he makes a face, “why wouldn’t i be? you’re so sweaty!”
“senku, no one told you to touch me!”
“well i wanted to!” he pauses, “plus, we’re dating.”
“yet you still hate when i’m sweaty.”
“it’s unhygienic.”
you rolls you eyes. and the two of you are enveloped in a slightly stiff silence.
“it’s been a while since i’ve seen you like that.”
“three thousand seven hundred years.” you say casually as you gulp down the rest of the water.
he stares at you, a look you can’t quite decipher. “yeah.” he scratches his neck, looking away. “i’ve always liked seeing you play.” he pauses, “i hope you had fun.”
you stare at him for a second. then you smile, “i did.”
“sorry i suck at that. i know you’re upset.”
“it’s fine, guess it’s just been so long since i’ve seen you that i really wanted to spend time with you.”
“can’t fault you for that.” he says, sparing you a glance. he almost seems ashamed.
“you hungry?” you ask.
he’s about to shake his head but he remembers he hasn’t eaten all day. instead, worked and every now and then watched you play.
as he watched you eye a food cart, he remembers how the two of you would eat at one after school, especially after your practices.
with a smile, he nods and takes your hand, which you grin at.

2:28 am (hyj x f!reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
genre: fluff || word count: 968 author's note: back from the dead with smth self indulgent and way farther from what i envisioned
in. out. deep breaths, y/n.
lying in a pool of your own sweat, you heaved while staring up at the ceiling. not even a blasting a/c could stop me from shedding my weight in sweat, huh. you learn something new every day, you thought to yourself.
you turned my head with what energy you had left and squinted your eyes to look at the time: 02:28 am, it read. you closed your eyes and sighed, turning to look back up at the ceiling.
"literally, why do i do this to myself. i had a whole day to work out and yet here i am," you muttered to know one in particular. maybe it was a way to distract from the baby hairs sticking onto your forehead and the ends of my locks feeling like you'd taken a shower that you'd suddenly become hyper-aware of.
"i wonder the exact same thing."
a husky voice broke you out of your reverie. you propped yourself up on your arms as you looked over to the door that you're surprised you didn't hear open and met the striking brown eyes of a certain songstress. your eyes grew wide as you tried to sputter out an answer.
"o-oh, hey yunjin!" such a charmer, y/n. nice going.
you then got up and ran over to the couch where your towel lay and tried to at least make myself look presentable. "what're you doing here? it's so late," you asked in english.
"i could ask you the same thing, y/n," she chuckled with a shake of her head. she turned her attention to the lone yoga mat near the end of the room.
"i-i'll clean that up, don't worry!" you sputtered out. you then scuffled over to the yoga mat and started rolling it up. "anyways, what're you doing here again?"
"leader's orders. she's been trying to contact you all night," she replied nonchalantly. you cringed at the thought of worrying your chaewon-unnie. yikes...
"um, tell her i'll be home soon," you replied.
the quiet hum of the air conditioners was the only thing filling the awkward silence between you and your same-aged friend. who you also happened to be crushing on. hard. i mean, it was hard not to. she was quite literally everyone's dream girl. insanely talented, creative, witty, and not to mention, absolutely gorgeous. when she came home from the salon after dyeing her hair black for unforgiven promotions, your soul quite literally left your body.
aside from those, though, she felt like home. the whole debut process -- from getting scouted at a school talent show to moving to korea barely speaking the language -- would've been even more hellish had she not been around. your first training session with the girls was nothing short of grueling, made even more so by your evident insecurity and shyness. you sat on the couch with the girls as they chattered away nonstop among each other, their conversations going in one ear and out the other as you stared off into the distance and just let everything sink in.
"hey, you good?" she asked you in english, and the familiarity in a strange land lifted a whole weight off your shoulders.
only for it to make it so easy for you to fall into the trenches that is huh yunjin.
"i'll wash up real quick and then head home," you told her after cleaning up after yourself. she hummed noncommittally as you picked up your belongings and made your way to the hybe showers. when you came back, she was sitting patiently with her legs crossed and her phone in her hands, looking at it intently. you finally got a good look at her: how her glasses hung on for dear life at the end of her nose, how her hoodie engulfed her and made her look oh so cuddly, and how she let her hair down and had it frame her face perfectly.
goddamn, get up, y/n.
"let's get going?"
"come here, first."
she put her phone down and opened her arms up for you to come into. you confusedly put your bag down and walked over to her, only for her to turn you around and pull you into her lap. your eyes widened as you felt your heart beat against your chest. you looked down at her arms tightening around your waist, hoping your hair would cover your reddening face. that was probably fruitless though because you were certain she could feel the heat radiating off of you with her chin resting on your shoulder.
"um...care to explain?"
"i'm just feeling affectionate," she mumbled.
"ah." she probably would've clung onto kkura-unnie if she was here. i just happened to be the only person around. get up, y/n.
"besides, i haven't seen you often. you're always disappearing after our schedules; my english is getting rusty, you know?" you could hear the pout in her voice. you turned to look at her and completely underestimated the distance when she turned to look at you too, noses barely touching.
"so when chaewon-unnie was going to ask zuha to look for you, i stepped up. i missed you."
"we see each other every day though."
"but we never get to hang out."
"valid, i guess."
you broke her gaze and turned to look at yourselves in the mirror. yunjin plucked her phone up and turned her camera on.
"look, y/n."
your idol instincts turned on and posed for the camera in front of the mirror: hand on your cheek, face scrunched up in a smile as yunjin shot away until...
you felt her nosing away at your neck and leaving a little peck on the spot. there was no way she couldn't feel your heart drumming against your chest.
"cute. let's get going?"
"yeah, sure..."

Astarion's Plotline and the Thing About Consent
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let me talk about one thing I find weirdly underdiscussed in the BG3 fandom. Technically this does not only concern Astarion, but also a lot of the other romanceable options. but I see it most discussed with Astarion especially in regard of one thing.
I am not the only person who feels icky about the graveyard sex. Not becasue of the graveyard, but because of the context in which it happens. Aka: Astarion has had the hell of one day. He has confronted his trauma in so many ways, he has almost died, he managed to overcome Cazador, and he actually managed to remain himself rather than becoming Cazador. I absolutely do understand that our dear fanged friend kinda wants to celebrate his freedom by finally having sex just because he wants to have it - but I also understand that for a good chunk... Him wanting to fuck in that scene is mostly him somehow trying to cope and not having learned good coping strategies, right?
However, whenever someone in fandom brings this up, quite often someone will reply: "People who are traumatized are still able to consent, you know?"
To which I - someone with tons of trauma - will just say: "Yeah, they can, but consent is something that happens from both sides."
Now, we will leave out the meta discussion that obviously Astarion, on the basis of being a fictional character in a game, obviously has no agency in either direction, while the player does. But ignoring that and just reading the in-game situation...
Tav, Durge, or whoever of the origin characters might be on that graveyard with Astarion in that scene still also have a right to not consent to it. And yes, say: "Hey, you had a hell of a day, and I am honestly not sure whether this is good for you, and if it turned out not to be I would feel really shitty about that" is actually a valid reason to not consent to have sex with someone.
Even if Astarion does want sex in that scene. Even if it turned out to be actually the thing he needed. The other person in the scene very much still has the right to say: "I am not feeling good about this, I don't want this, at least not now."
I am not saying that your own Tav/Durge needs to not be okay with it. They can be perfectly fine with it and have their kinky graveyard sex. What I am saying is, that not everyone is feeling like that - and that their feelings are valid, too.
And it is weird how some Astarion fans react to this, too. First there is the "but he can consent", to which I will just say: "Yeah, and his partner can also say that they don't consent". And then the people will go: "But he looks so sad if you say you don't wanna have sex with him." Which... I... Folks, for once: He is fiction. But also... Even if he wasn't fictional, he would have to live with it. It is not the job of his partner to fuck him whenever he wants sex. Again: Consent matters. And consent involves at least two people.
Like, folks. I am begging you. Just consider this fact. Consent has to come from everyone.
And I can tell you that at least my Tav in that situation did not feel very comfortable with the whole situation. I mean, this is how I wrote out the scene on the graveyard in my fic version of the evening.
“I think, I’ve been dead for along enough,” Astarion finally muttered. “It’s time to try living again.” He took a deep breath, trying to sort his thoughts, his feelings. Then he took the bard’s hands, smiling at him. “With everything life has to offer.” He did not even think about it much, as he gave his voice a sultry tone, and most certainly he had not expected Tav’s reaction. But the bard twitched just a bit. “Astarion…” He seemed awkward, uncertain. “I…” Astarion was not certain if the bard understood. “I want you. I think I might…” “Stop, please,” Tav whispered. There was a tremble going through his body, and an expression in his eyes, that felt like a dagger in Astarion’s heart. He didn’t understand. What was going on. “Don’t you…” It was hard to speak those words. “Don’t you want me?” He had not intended for his voice to sound as hurt as it did in the end. A sigh. Tav pulled his hands out of Astarion’s, before cupping Astarion’s face with them. “I want you. I do. And you know it. Just not… Not now.” “What is wrong with now?” There was hurt still. And anger. Just a bit of anger over the rejection. “What is wrong with now? I am finally free. I can finally…” “Astarion…” Tav was hesitating once more, before moving in closer, pressing his forehead against Astarion’s. “You have been through a lot today. A lot.” “Yes, I know. I was there, remember?” The sarcasm was back in Astarion’s voice. He tried to pull away, but though gently, the bard held onto him. “Please, look at me,” Tav said. “Let me…” He stopped, before letting go of Astarion. “Can I show you?” Now it was Astarion’s turn to pause. He understood, of course. He understood well. “Alright.” He opened himself up to Tav’s feelings – and they were strong. Warm, consuming almost. A want. A need. Fantasies. All there. And it made Astarion understand even less. “Then why?” “Because if I sleep with you again, I want to be sure that we both are going to feel good about it the next day,” Tav said gently. “And today, I cannot be sure of that.” Those words made nothing any clearer. “I don’t understand.” “Look. Today was so much for you. And I do not even need you to show me your feelings. I can tell like this. The sadness. The pain. You feel guilty, too. About those spawn that are more or less your responsibility. About killing Cazador, too.” “Why would I feel guilty about that?” “Because no matter how much you hated and feared him, you were also dependent on him for two hundred years,” Tav said. He took Astarion’s hands again, pressing them. “And there are probably a lot of other feelings, too.” His thumbs were caressing the backs of Astarion’s hands. He gave a tiny sigh. “Look at me.” Astarion had not even quite noticed that he no longer looked the man in the eyes. But he did now. The same, familiar green eyes. “I do not even trust myself right now,” Tav said. “I know I care about you, deeply. I want you. You have no idea how much I want you. But with all the chaos right now… I do not trust myself enough to say whether this is love or just…” Once more his thumbs so gently went over Astarion’s skin. “Right now, I am mostly worried about you. Because today was a lot. And I know those days. And I know what follows.”
And... It is just something that has to be considered. I mean, I know there are people who romance Karlach but still do not sleep with her, because their character is not ready for that. And that is just the thing. Consent has to come from both sides.
In that it does also not matter whether the player is uncomfortable or whether they have just an idea how their character would feel. For the scene playing out... The romancing partner can say "I don't consent." too.

Eddie x afab!Reader
This is a short snippet of a world I've been thinking about for a while, loosely inspired by the film Equilibrium where feeling is a crime punishable by death, but also by my fascination with abandoned places, wastelands, and the idea that, even though love sets us up for pain and grief, life is not worth living without it. I hope to expand on it eventually. Hint: this might also be interwoven with my nightmare Eddie.

This is rough, I just spit out this scene because I needed this Eddie to cheer me up.
The sting of the frosty air bit your cheeks when you stepped out of the motel room you shared with your aunt Ramona.  Wiggling the knob to make sure it was locked, you zipped up your coat, and then checked to make sure it was locked one more time for good measure.
Nearby, someone whistled to get your attention.
You snapped a look across the way to find that the newest resident of the Grove Motel was out in the parking space in front of his room working on his van. He waved a wrench in the air at you.  “She needs tender loving care when it’s cold outside,” he shouted, possibly unaware of the noise ordinance for loud voices on the premises.
You wondered if perhaps he had mistaken you for someone else, so you adjusted the bag on your shoulder, turned your back on him, and kept going.
The steel of the wrench clinked to the cement, and then, at a jog, he caught up to you, and extended the spread out fingers of his hand for you to see.  “What do you think?”
He was referring to the new skull ring he wore, and was about to tell you a story about how a Hell’s Angel traded it for a six pack, but you were fixated on something else.
“You’re not supposed to do that,” you gestured to the chipped, black polish on his short fingernails, not to mention the jewelry adornments he so proudly wore. “If they catch you, you’ll get a fine.”
“Fuck ‘em,” he put a cigarette to his lips, lit the end with a metal zippo from his pocket, and then clapped the lighter shut, keeping the coffin nail in the corner of his mouth as he spoke.  “They can put me in jail, wouldn’t be the first time.”
You came to a full halt on the pavement then, unnerved by his unique and utterly idiotic nonchalance. His gaudy rings, the flash on his vest over his leather jacket, his long hair, everything.  Hell, you could very well get a fine for just associating with him.  “They banish people too, you know? To the Outer Limits, I bet you wouldn’t be so cocky then?”
He puffed a laugh out his nose and leaned in, his voice a murmur that melted into a purr. “Well, then, you don’t know shit about me, sweetheart.”
You dodged to the side to avoid him, marching ahead with brutal determination.
“Hey, hey, hey, please wait,” he jumped in front of  you, waving his arms. “I’m sorry okay? Just...wait,” and then his hands were up, palms out to mime the invisible wall between you.
Your gaze lingered on the dead tufts of grass around the sidewalk, but then cautiously rose to his brown orbs rimmed in gold.
“My name’s Eddie,” he bobbed forward before bouncing back on the balls of his feet.  “I’ve been seeing you around for a couple weeks and thought maybe I’d introduce myself.”
“I know who you are,” you swallowed.  “You moved into Curtis and Janey’s old place. They were friends of mine.”
“Oh shit, that’s right.  He was taken away, wasn’t he? By those rent-a-cops with the cowboy hats.”
You nodded, working your jaw.  “Curtis and his wife, they were always holding hands and kissing and…” a part of  you worried you’d get in trouble just for speaking the words. “...being really affectionate with each other.”
Eddie gave an exaggerated grimace.  “Yikes, that sound like some hardcore stuff.”
“Don’t make fun,” you inclined your head.  “This is serious.”
He broke into a chuckle, biting his lip.  “I can tell that you think it is.”
You kept walking, only to have him take backwards steps to keep pace with you, wallet chain bouncing with each jolly movement.  “So, what’s your name?”
“You’re not from around here, I can tell,” you let him know, mumbling your name so it was almost inaudible.
“What gave it away?”
“Do they not have laws against feelings and self-expression where you’re from?”
“No, they do,” he spun on his heel to face the same direction as you.  “I guess I just don’t care about their rules.”
You came to another abrupt stop to gape at his casual smile.  You’d never met anyone like him before, and it made you curious almost as much as it infuriated you.  He appeared to welcome your assessment of him with matched intensity, rolling his bottom lip through his teeth a few times.
“I have to get to work,” you stepped from the curb, gnashing your teeth.
“Are you taking the bus?”
“No genius,” you spat over your shoulder.  “I’m waiting for my limousine to pick me up at the curb.”
At that, Eddie guffawed with laughter and sprang up next to you, shuffling in little hop-steps.  “You had me worried there for a second.  I thought maybe you were dead inside like the rest of them.”
“I’m plenty dead inside,” you muttered, thinking it was time to take your pills again, the medication that kept you from feeling anything and sucked any and all joy out of life.
“Do you want a ride?” He exhaled toward the sky, jerking a thumb over his shoulder.  “I know a guy with a van who has some time to kill.”
“No thank you,” was your quick and curt response.
“Suit yourself,” he flicked the butt into the street just as an old, rusted Plymouth cruised by with a huge dent in the door.  “But if you ever need like, milk or sugar, you know where to find me.”
“I won’t.”
A few yards from the bus stop, he called your name, and you spun around to face him, brow creased with irritation.
“Was that Led Zeppelin I heard coming from your place the other day or was I dreaming?”
You froze, panic flushing arctic ice through your veins.
The enjoyment of music was absolutely forbidden in your territory, and the only thing on the radio were news and religious stations.  You’d kept your dad’s old cassette player and a shoebox full of tapes hidden in the wall behind your dresser for years.  It was a secret you’d kept so long, you were always very careful about when you listened and how loud.
You were shaking your head, moving your jaw, but no words could come out.  He would tell on you, and then the Troopers would come and ransack your room and take the only thing of your father’s you had left.
“Please don’t,” you took cautious steps, searching his face.  “I can’t, I won’t listen anymore, but please don’t tell anyone. I’m begging  you.”
Eddie frowned and grinned at the same time, confused.  “I would never—” and then he realized you were actually freaking out, and his tone got very soft.  “Hey, listen, it’ll be our secret, alright? I like to listen to music too.”
You looked around, worried that the aluminum skeletons in the junkyard next door had ears. You believed him, you had to.  You’d been caught and you were at his mercy.
“I was just going to say we need to get you some headphones.” He bucked his chin and gave a proud wink, “I know a guy.”

edward hart — once more (one-shot)
Tumblr media
he wishes to hear you call his name once more.

glossy eyes and a distracted expression. his dirty clothes were strewn across the floor and there were dishes piling up on his bedside table. edward could only focus his attention on the ceiling of his bedroom. rui does come by once in a while to clean up after him but that wasn't enough to keep it from becoming a mess again. edward wasn't this much of a slob; in fact, after centuries of living by himself, he'd watch his friends and loved once die off one by one, he had learned how to live by himself without anyone's interference. he's a proud vampire, the strongest one, the one no one could ever even think of harming. he was doing fine all on his own. he didn't need anyone– that was, and that has been always the case. everything stood true until he met you.
he once held your hand, bowing and leaning in to place a kiss on the back of your hand. he once held your hand flat against his chest– his heart wasn't beating, and he didn't even need to breathe but you told him that he still has a heart, you made his breath hitch in his throat even. indeed, though undead, he had used his heart to love you and only you. he once guided your hand to his shoulder and placed his hand on the curve of your waist. he once smiled at you and spun you around, hearing your mellifluous voice chuckle at his capricious actions. he once snapped his fingers and asked the piano anomaly for a music to slow dance to as he guided your head to the crook of his neck, basking in the candlelit silence of the haunted mansion's ballroom as you waltzed the night away in his embrace. he once plucked roses from the outdoor garden, painstakingly removed each other and offered it to you- the only one who made his still heart beat once again.
"oh? you're here." edward only notices rui once rui was already inside his room, picking up his discarded clothes and tossing them into a basket in his hands. "i'm going there." edward tells rui. rui, who always donned a smile and a carefree attitude, seemed to dim a bit, his expression darkening and his lips pursed into a thin line.
"hey... will you be okay?" rui asks, concerned about the captain. rui was reluctant, knowing that ed preferred to stay inside and never leave his bedroom, rui knew well enough from his observations alone that whenever ed visited that room, he came out worse than before. that room felt like something that constantly drained ed's vitality, the captain's eyes becoming more and more dull as he visited. that room felt like a calamity that dragged ed down for worse, yet the captain couldn't seem to let it go. ed was oddly overprotective of that room in particular, having sworn to secrecy that rui was never to speak of whatever was in that room; after all it was only the captain and vice-captain allowed.
"i'm going." edward stated firmly once again, standing up from his bed and weakly making it out into the hallway. it was a shame, he wasn't weak- he was never meant to be weak yet he crumbled even at the thought of you, of seeing you.
when edward's feet led him in front of that room, he took a deep breath, his hands coming to grasp the door handles yet he hesitated. how can he even show his face to you or be near you? would you even look at him in pity at his current state? would you spare him a glance? if only you were yourself, you would probably have a worried expression and scold him, telling him he should never let himself go. bracing himself for the pain, he held the door open and walked in.
he's a vampire– his heart is still and there's no warmth in him, by human standards he would be considered dead, a walking corpse. it was cruel, absolutely painfully heart wrenching cruel. the figure laying in the bed in front of him was also a corpse. a corpse resting on the line between life or death.
edward never really gave a damn about the rumors humans spew, a being of his status shouldn't regard baseless rumors but among the mountain of rumors, there's got to be one that's correct, right?
he's a murderer.
it had only been a few years since then. eyes brimming with excitement and anticipation, you held his hand and announced that darkwick has finally assigned you two a mission. you had done it, you were on par with edward to be sent on a mission alone with him! as lovers, the both of you were ecstatic yet the lingering fear and anxiety never went unnoticed. whatever, right? you're both powerful, what could go wrong?
yet in that moment, a mere moment of hesitation broke the glass castle you had built along with edward. a desperate call from your throat and edward's feet frozen in place. an anomalous monster took you right in front of his eyes. edward, though always seemingly composed and collected, saw red for the first time. he was sure it wasn't blood that blinded him but fury. seething rage devoured him in an instant. you were strong enough to fight and break free yet that wasn't where the problem laid. it was classified as a high ranking mission because of the effects the anomalous poison had on ghouls like you.
and did the poison consume you.
frankly, edward would've rather had you stricken with a poison that diminished your physical health. at least he can have sought after the most talented doctors in the world to treat you. at least that was something he can overcome. alas, it was something more, something that caused you so much pain mentally that it left you unable to do anything else. you neglected yourself, confined yourself to this room, and every time edward saw you, he watched the world collapsing from your very eyes. every time he embraced you after that incident, he felt you become colder than he was. his once overflowing love felt like a collection of percussive music bringing him down into a spiral and his anxiety accompanied the overbearing thuds like an uneasy rhythm of guitar strings being plucked.
"edward... will you grant me one last wish?" edward can still hear your pleading voice at the back of his mind, your sweet sweet voice asking for a sweet release from the prison the poison had entrapped you in. "can you give me rest, and wake me up when it's all over?"
he was willing to wait years, decades, and even centuries for you. he could even wait a millennia if you asked him to. he didn't care about the rumors that surrounded him, he didn't care that he was called a murderer behind his back, he didn't care that he was seen as a villain. this was his price to pay. this was all for him to bear, this was the rotten fruit his selfish greed bore. gone was his cunning and smug expression when darkwick finally called on him for the consequences of his action. after all, he did pull a few strings and deployed a little manipulation to orchestrate this joint mission between the two of you. the verdict was that he was to be banished to that haunted mansion, ostracized from everything and everyone. it was fine, right? at least he had you- you can live with him in that mansion for all eternity.
edward was filled with uncharacteristic time. wounds that can not be physically mended can be healed with time- it was something he heard humans say in passing. perhaps this was the same for you too. his unbridled hope felt like a fragile flower crushed to death in the face of reality when your eyes turned dull and cold towards him. no, no this was not the you edward offered his heart to. this wasn't the person he loved. you were becoming something else. the poison in your blood was turning you into an anomaly, the same anomaly that cursed you with its poison.
"edward..." he gritted his teeth when he heard your pleading voice once again, "i'm sure you know what's going on..."
"we can run away-" he started, yet you cut him off immediately, shutting down the sprout of hope and desperation brewing in his heart, "they'll find me and kill me. i'm becoming an anomaly, you know that." even when speaking of your foreboding death, he can still find traces of your kindness and of your warmth in your tone.
"edward, please forgive me, i'm being selfish." edward heard the waver in your voice that you tried so hard to conceal. "but when i die, i want it to be done by your hands."
the air was so thick, you could cut it with a knife. edward didn't say anything, he had no words to say just like he had no tears left to cry out. he had no will or life in him to scream and shout in despair because deep inside, he knew it was the better course. he understood you, he knew you'd feel better lulled into eternal sleep than being brutally tossed aside and killed by darkwick for becoming the foe of the institution.
even then, he couldn't keep his promise to you. edward was the strongest vampire, yet he came crumbling down in front of you. he couldn't keep his promise to end your life in his hands, instead he let his selfishness overcome him once more.
"years feel like eternity as of late..." edward mumbles as he sits by your bed where your lithe figure lies almost lifeless. "will you wake up and make this still heart of mine beat once more?" edward continues, lamenting over you. he sits on the edge of your bed, his hand caressing your lifeless ones.
"i know i broke the last wish you had entrusted to me..." he sighs, tracing circles on the back of your hand. "but i just can't bring myself to let you go yet."
"after darkwick made the decision to put you in an indefinite sleep to stop the poison, i've been ordered to grant you your last wish and strangle your throat with these very hands." edward reminisces, speaking bitterly as he brought his hand up to your forehead and tried to soothe the pained expression in your face. "but i couldn't do it. i'm a fool who's still waiting for you to wake up when everything is all over just as you once wished."
"everyone thinks i murdered you..." edward murmurs, "how detestable of humans to spark those rumors. i could never hurt you, even if it was to release you from your agony. a coward like myself could only hide you and hope to protect you from the confines of my own prison." he continues.
"lately, i couldn't bear anyone calling me by my name. it reminds me of your voice." edward adds, his hand coming to comb through your hair, his eyes soft just like his voice. "i asked them to call me ed instead, i think i heard a human regard it as a nickname." he heaves another sigh thereafter.
"please wake up soon." edward muttered under his breath as he leaned in and placed a kiss on your forehead, "i'd like to hear my name fall from your lips again, that way i would feel this still heart beat once more for you.”

hi! i know it must be kinga boring for you recive questions about castiel bc ppl are obsessed ober him for years but like the other person who asked you a few days ago, i follow you (and ply mcl) for like 10 years and ever since day one my fav boy has been tiel. till this day at the age of 22 he's my favorite and my comfort boy so i joke that he's not a fictional character anymore for me and that i know him personally at this point lol
with that being said, i bet you can imagine that over the years i've been elaborating his personality beyond what the game gives us but he's your boy, you created him therefore you know him and your word is canon, so i'd like to ask a few stuff!! nothing too big, dont worry but here we go.
tiel is an amazing songwriter and since he's very emotional not very good at express it (he does it a lot better now that he's an adult 🥹) i bet his lyricism is very deep and poetic so i have this headcanon that he at first wouldn't like taylor swift because obviously lol but then he payed attention to her lyrics and ends up basically being a swiftie since he likes her writing a lot. what you think about that?
and what kind of music crowstorm sings? like there are any bands that you listen and think "hey this would be in a crowstorm album!" (i have a playlist with this name btw lol). im probably wrong on this one but since this is my fav band i like to think that catfish and the bottlemen are the irl crowstorm, musically speaking
and the last one: another thing that gives me so much comfort is the lystiel friendship. not having present parents, being so closed off i know that lysander is such an important presence on tiel's life because he was basically the only close person he had (specially after the debrah fiasco); if lys didnt had taken the farm and went to college and bla bla bla do you think he would still be part of the band with castiel? im not sure if im mixing the canon with a fanfic i read a while ago (lol) but the band was more of a fun thing to lys, right? he liked writing most (i always imagined him getting into a literature degree or something like this). i also like to think that he helps tiel with lyrics at times, even if he's out of the band (in my head the canon is that they are best friends and pretty close till this day, i pretend lys never left our lives just like armin)
anyways sorry for this big ask 😭 i dont even know if you will read it all but if you do, thank you! and dont feel like you have to answer, i know its too much its just that mcl is my hyperfixation till this day like for real, i have a fanfic that i write still and i even plan on making it into a book sometime. except from the main characters (who is my oc) all the characters will be based on the game's ones :)
ilysm take care and stay hydrated!!
Hellow !
Aww thank you so much and for all your love for Castiel ^^
What a long ask, I'll try to answer in order.
Castiel being a swiftie. No sorry, I don't think he would be. If candy likes her, I'm pretty sure he would try to listen. Also he is an open minded person for sure, so I'm sure he would be curious to listen and study what all the hype is about, it could also help as some sort of far away inspiration, but I don't see him being a fan.
Tumblr media
What kind of songs Crowstorm sings This is hard to answer because my musical knowledge is pretty limited and I'm sure I would miss on lot of potential groups or singers that would fit well. And it would require too much research time to have a real detailed and clear answer, but I still did check a bit and here is a little list of songs/groups that I think would have a fitting vibe for Crowstorm
City of the dead - Hollywood Undead The worst in me - bad omens Paranoid - I prevail Trauma Just pretend - Bad omens Ice Nine Kills - A grave mistake Catfish and the bottlemen sounds nice but I think its a bit too soft for what I imagine for Crowstorm.
What is his voice like I think something similar to this (not necessarily the song itself, just the voice. )
bonus, I think this song is so so fitting for Castiel's breakup song, I love it. Dial Tone - Catch your breath
Castiel and Lys friendship. It was'nt mentionned much in UL/LL because I didnt wish to bring too much drama by mentioning Lys when he was not there for the players, but of course Lys and Cast always kept in touch. It is very clearly mentionned in Lys' AL that they keep in touch, that Lys helps Castiel write songs and Cast also like to come to his farm to have a break and spend time together. You should play it if you havent, you'll have a good chunk of Cast and Lys friendship :) However yeah I can confirm that Lys would not like to do it serisouly and professionally, but he'll be all the way around to support and help Cast.

Blue Skies, Tainted Sorrow
TW: Mentions of death. Stormbringer spoilers below!
The Yokohama sky was an exceptionally sorrowful blue.
Normally, the colour blue was associated with stability and harmony, granting a sense of tranquil peace wherever it descended. Favoured in the eyes of many, outshining numerous other shades- with such positive attributes, it was almost laughable, really, how it was also the epitome of sorrow.
But on this particular day, sorrow was the perfect reflection of the sky.
Chuuya sat, unmoving, on a particular protrusion of the building; his vacant eyes staring at the endless expansion of blue stretched out above him.
Calls that were sent to him were left unanswered on his phone, whether it was from you or from the supercomputer Adam that was assisting Chuuya in this case.
You understood your friend all too well to know what he was thinking.
"The hell is he doing?"
Shirase's impatient voice cut through the silence, and you turned your gaze towards him, glaring slightly. Despite all his proclamations about being the future 'King' of the disbanded organisation called the Sheep, he couldn't read the room to save his life, and was a coward in times of true danger. Talk about being a king of foolishness instead.
"I imagine he doesn't want to talk to anybody right now," Adam replied, as he looked up at the motionless teenager. You frowned slightly, glancing back towards the figure sitting on the building. Even though the latter could put on such a convincing act that could fool Dazai himself, anybody could tell that Chuuya was suffering in remorse and self-blame.
You didn't want him to suffer anymore.
"... Please excuse me."
Activating your ability, you teleported right to the same ledge that your friend was situated on, trying not to slip off the uneven surface.
If Chuuya heard you, he gave no sign of acknowledging your presence.
Taking a small breath, you tried to relax yourself as you slowly approached the teenager, speaking in a soft voice.
"... Hey. I just wanted to check up on you. You've been up here for a few hours, and I was starting to get worried."
There was no reply, but you waited patiently, not wanting to overstep his boundaries.
"... I'm fine. There's no need for you to concern yourself over me."
It was an usual curt answer that you'd expected to hear from him. You knew that he was like this because he wanted to solely shoulder the guilt of their deaths on his shoulders.
But you weren't going to let him go this easily.
"... This is about the detective, isn't it? And the Flags, as well-"
Before you could finish your sentence, Chuuya had already shot up and faced you, gritting his teeth as he glared silently. You only stared back at him calmly.
"I'm right, aren't I?"
"..." He stared off in another direction for a while, before his gaze returned to you again. But instead of anger, there was only a vacant emptiness in his eyes.
"The Flags and Detective-san all died because of me. I'm the one responsible for their deaths. And I have to be the one to stop Verlaine so that there won't be anyone else who end up with the same fate as them."
You stared at him silently, before opening your mouth to speak.
"'You're the one responsible for their deaths'... is that truly all you believe in?"
Chuuya stiffened, and you continued before he could get a chance to rebut.
"You were not the one who murdered them. Verlaine did, in order to 'set you free'. But he doesn't want to force you to come with him, because it'd be going against your own freedom of choice. Instead... he wants you to blame yourself for their deaths. To feel guilty about those lives that he cut away. And make you approach him of your own accord, so that-"
"But Verlaine killed them because he knew I wouldn't leave the Mafia. Even if I wasn't the one who performed the physical act, I'm still the sole reason why they're dead! Can't you see? None of this would have happened if I had just gone with him that time."
The sorrow was evident within him, even as he resorted to his usual angry façade.
"... It is agony. I feel it too. But," you tentatively placed a hand on Chuuya's shoulder, feeling his muscles tense up underneath your touch.
"Just as Mori-san had said, the dead feel no emotion. Things such as revenge and guilt are for the living. However, blaming yourself for their deaths is going to get you nowhere. It hurts, but it is only through this hurt that you can remember who you are fighting for. And please remember that you are not alone. I'll be here for you, and you can rely on me whenever you need me."
"..." Chuuya looked down towards the ground, his body starting to turn away, but you weren't finished yet.
His eyes widened as he felt your arms encircling around him.
Chuuya's instant reflex was to flinch and back away, but you merely tightened your hold on him. His hands lay by his side, but your warmth encouraged him to relax into the hug. It was slightly awkward, as the two of you weren't too well-versed in platonic affections, but that didn't matter in this moment.
"I know that it's been hard for you. I know that it isn't easy to keep on fighting when you have struggles of your own. But I just wanted to tell you... that you'll always be a human in my eyes. And that will never change."
The silence that followed was deafening- and with that, you felt a twinge of panic in you.
Did you happen to say something that upset him? You always knew how Chuuya felt about his humanity, but you never knew how he would react if someone believed that he was human. Your grip around him started to loosen slightly.
Only for two strong arms to hug you back, alongside a face being buried into your shoulder.
It was the first time you ever felt him smile.
Hopefully this did justice to Stormbringer!Chuuya ❣

in my feelings was so good ahhhh i would love to see a part 2 where its the morning after or like tommy slowly showing reader how he rly feels !! deciding they are gonna stay married 😍😍
yes yes yes!! so grateful for the love on imf tho i kinda wanna mention that it’s highly inspired by in my feelings by lana del rey. so go stream it !! oh and fair warning; this is tooth rotting fluff. do not read if you aren’t prepared to swoon.⚠️ (part one here)
blue velvet🥿 - t, shelby ,,
Tumblr media
that night, you and tommy didn’t speak another word to one another.
for months, the only times you and him would speak would be when of two things. you would speak either about mundane things, like the weather and plans for the evening.
or, when the two of you fucked.
although he had you often, you were sure he was seeing other women, too. by the lipstick stains on his collars in a shade of red you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing and also by the hushed whispering of the maids, feeling pitiful for you.
it killed you, because deep down, behind all the fights and ‘i hates you’s, you loved him. hatable as he is, yes, but you loved the person he was when he wasn’t on his guard, who he was deep down.
but he was always on his guard. there were only a few times you had seen him off of it.
it happened when you were 13. tommy had just turned 15 and a party much like your wedding was thrown for him.
unbeknownst to many, tommy shelby was not a party man. never was, never will be. he was frankly the only person within his hectic family whom possessed that quality.
so, he snuck away from the garrison- where the party was being held- and carefully made his way over to the river bank behind your house.
he didn’t know it was your house, honest. simply, he loved the scenery. he loved the sound of the horses happily trotting in their stables and the sound of the dogs chasing each other around the prairie.
there was no fence separating your backyard to the river, and so one of your dogs made his way to the birthday boy who was dangling his legs just above the stream.
“hey, buddy,” he laughed as your dog snuck up behind him, licking his face and neck. he quickly found himself forever petting frankie and scratching behind his ears, too.
he looked around and behind him, but no owner was to be found. he held frankie in his lap, resting his chin atop frankie’s head.
thomas remained like that for a while, occasionally speaking rhetorically to the dog. “today’s my birthday, you know. they threw me a party, can you believe it? i wish they knew me well enough to know i absolutely loathe parties.”
frankie was soon asleep in tommy’s arms, breathing serenely.
“frankie!” your terrified voice called from a distance behind tommy.
he turned around to see your face relax at the sight of your dog safe and sound.
“i’m sorry, is this your house?” he asked, waving to the house and barn in the close distance.
the sun was setting, and the horizon never looked so beautiful as the waning sunlight shined on your face. that was the moment tommy knew he’d met an angel on earth.
the way your toothy smile shined stupidly as you sighed and nodded, being awfully proud of your home.
“oh, i’m sorry. i’ll go, i didn’t realize i was trespassing. my apologies,”
that had to be the first time you heard of tommy shelby apologizing to another person.
you quickly shook your head. “no, stay. you mind if i sit with you?” you didn’t wait for his answer before plopping right down next to him, your legs being even shorter than his as they dangled next to one another.
he looked at you to see if you were joking or just completely oblivious to who he was. then he laughed, figuring he was in much need of some friendly company.
now, this was before you and tommy had ever met. however, you knew of him, of his notorious reputation of being cruel. you knew what people thought of him, but you wanted to know him. to you, he was just misunderstood, and in dire need of a friend.
you two sat there and talked. minutes turned into hours as you talked and talked until the cicadas sung and the blue hue’d moon began her nightly waltz with the silver stars.
he told you about his birthday disaster and his family, about his love for horses and for knowledge.
he laughed, he argued, he listened, he smiled, and he was happy. really, truly, very, happy.
you didn’t judge him, didn’t hedge or waffle around any subjects in fear of what he might do to you if faced with an opposing opinion. you treated him like a normal person.
“i like you, tommy shelby,” you admitted, the once cool grass beneath you now warm due to your everlasting presence atop the soil.
“i like you too, y/n y/l/n.”
and you met him at the same place everyday after that, just talking. you told him everything about you, all your innermost thoughts and secrets. about your mother and your animals, about your love for history and reading.
and in return, he- eventually- let you know of his vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
from tommy, that was like being gifted the most expensive, purest, most glimmering, block of gold.
his feelings towards you were becoming stronger and stronger each time he returned to the river bank. tommy soon realized he couldn’t be around you anymore.
although he told you most of his weaknesses and such, he never told you of one.
you.
he felt a certain way about you, a feeling he couldn’t shake. he was growing weak, and thomas shelby could not be weak.
- and he wasn’t planning on it, so he just… stopped showing up.
for weeks, you would wait for him at sunset by the stream behind the stables, but he never showed again.
and when you became friends with ada and often visited her home, he would avoid you like the plague. it confused and angered you. how could someone go from so warm to so cold in less than a month?
you gave up on it soon after, figuring you wouldn’t chase after anything that’s running.
as a result, you ignored him just as he ignored you.
up until year 9.
you always wondered what happened, what caused him to become so cold to you when he was just letting you in.
it was too late now to simply ask, so you were left to be forever in the dark.
tommy came home late that night, as he did every night. yet another confirmation of his infidelity.
you sighed to yourself, forcing a semi-smile on your face as you walked out of the drawing room to greet your husband.
“hello, thomas,” you smiled through gritted teeth, trying your hardest to maintain a smile as he scowls at your sudden appearance.
“alright, then. i’ll be reading if you need me, i suppose,” he nodded dismissively at you, and all sense of respect you tried to hold for him, drained in an instant.
your smile dropped and you rolled your eyes with a grimace when you walk away, not even bothering to spare him another glance.
by the time dinner was served, you hadn’t seen tommy once.
you ate alone, as thomas was busy in his office. you sighed after you finished your meal, grabbing a clean dish and fixing tommy a plate.
your heels clacked against the wooden tiles beneath your feet as you made your way to thomas’s office, plate in hand.
you knocked twice, not bothering to wait for his response before walking into the study.
“you missed dinner, thomas,” you placed the food before him on the desk, disregarding the important paperwork and documents you sat it atop.
he sighed, looked down at the plate, then up at you through his gold-rimmed glasses.
“i’m sorry? is that what you want to hear?” he continued working studiously, secretly willing you to leave him alone.
it took everything not to set fire to that desk.
“why’d you come home so late? hm?” you asked softly, but wished to scream.
“there was work that needed to be done,” said tommy nonchalantly.
you laughed. like, genuinely laughed. “huh. work that needed do be done at brothels?”
he looked annoyed, like you were some bothersome pest. “why do you care? you really expect some faithful husband from me? you’re the one who wanted this to be an arrangement,”
you opened your mouth to yell back but realized he was right.
no, this marriage is not one you want. so? was that his fault? it wasn’t, but you so badly wanted it to be, because how could he have stolen your heart then abandon it like breathing? and get away with it?
it was then you realized you were crying. tommy suddenly rose from his desk. “oh, i-i’m sorry. i didn’t-fuck- i didn’t mean to make you cry,”
he tried to approach you, put his arms around you, but you turned around and put your arm out, signaling for him to stop.
“y/n, i’m sorry. really, i’m sorry. please don’t cry,” he ignored your request for him to stay away and wrapped his arms around you.
you tried to push him off of you, but he just kept holding you.
he let you fall into his chest and collapse on the ground.
“why?” you croaked out, looking up at him through wet lashes, your nose rosey and cheeks stained.
“what?” he was confused, but continued to run his fingers through your hair.
you sniffled and rose to your feet again, thomas following suit.
“why did you stop coming to the river bank?! why did you leave me alone just when you finally began to let me in?!”
you were hitting him now, pounding your fists on his chest, and he was annoyingly unaffected.
“what? sweetheart, slow down,”
your heart was pounding in your ears and you felt your heart drop to your toes when you heard that. tommy hasn’t called you anything but your name since the river bank. and at the river bank, his favorite nickname for you was sweetheart.
insanely enough, you started laughing through your tears. laughing because you were confused? hurt? you don’t know, all you know is for some reason, this is all fucking hIlarious.
tommy’s confused, more confused than you, probably. “y/n, what is so funny?” he approached you again, and this time you’re too wrapped up in your head to care or stop him.
all of a sudden, the pain hits you again, with the force of a train, and you are desperate for closure.
“do you know how long i waited for you? every day, by the river?” your eyes were drying now, and anger was overtaking you.
he blinks and suddenly it’s like he finally understands the seven wonders of the world. “fuck, is that why you’re upset?”
you couldn’t help but stare at his stupidity. “thomas, you led me on for weeks, weeks! and then you stop showing up, because, i’m presuming, i grew boring? or you found some new, young, prettier, thing? you could have told me!” cried your weakening voice.
he opens his mouth to speak, but you aren’t done. “i guess not much has changed. i’m still so boring to you? you still need other women although i’m ruining my life being with you, isn’t that ri-“
he abruptly cut you off “fuck, y/n! it’s because i’m ln love with you!”
your attention was immediately all on him.
“you… what?”
“the reason i stopped coming to the river bank in because i’m in love with you. the reason i go to the brothels is because i am so fucking in love with you and i can’t be! i know, i know, you don’t love me too, okay? i know this is but an arrangement, i know. but, please understand that it kills me to pretend like i don’t,”
you couldn’t believe what you were hearing, the word ‘love’ sounding foreign from thomas.
“that’s doesn’t make any sense. why would you stop seeing me if you loved me, start seeing other women?”
now he was scoffing at your ignorance. “don’t you get it? i can’t afford to be in love, not when i have the biggest bounty in the city on my head. i can’t put that danger on you, i’d die before. also, it scares me, quite frankly,” he whispers the last part.
you couldn’t hold back the twitching smile on your lips. “why didn’t you say anything?” whispered you softly.
he chuckled lightly. “you know yourself, you’d never had given up on me,”
you tilted your head in a ‘touché’ manner.
“i do love you too, you know. in case you couldn’t tell,”
a short silence whisked in the air like a winters breath.
“c’mere, sweetheart.” his voice beckoned you over towards him.
you slung your arms around his shoulders. “what if we… didn’t divorce?”
you smiled up at him before kissing him. “i think that’s a good idea.”
