my last shift was so exhausting, literally back to back multiple traumas and arrests that we barely got any time to sit down and right before i was going to sleep for a bit we got another arrest

and then when i did go to sleep i was woken up an hour later at 5 am because the prosecutor wanted to take my statement because the dude who died was a judge or something and i was the one who wrote the death certificate

#and when i got down i heard someone yelling outside #and the nurses were like that's him lol good luck #but he was actually super nice to me #but i was scared #he could so easily fuck up my life #and the dude who died was drinking while driving #which is big since he's a judge #i really hope i don't get roped into a case later on because of this #why did i have to write the death certificate 😭#this was also right after a really tragic death of one of our patients #i usually don't get emotional with arrest cases but this one was different #the doctor in charge of her even cried #anyway it was such a stressful day #mort talks #delete later

the thing is. juno & nureyev's relationship has been such a major guiding thread throughout the podcast and the major drive of season 5, and the fandom has built itself so much (as fandoms often do) around shipping the two of them.

and yet nureyev doesn't show up at all in the last episode! or, he does, but it's only implied (for all we know it could be like. alessandra strong)(i know it's not but it would be really funny) and we don't hear his voice.

and it's so important to me that despite the room that their romance has taken in the plot and in our hearts, his absence reinforces that the point of juno steel's story wasn't a lady getting his man, it was about learning to grow as person for himself and for his friends (and not just his love interest), and it was about finding his footing in life and being at peace with himself and his place in the world. and he did! his growth and relative serenity is so apparent and just. a balm to the soul

and the fact that his man is back is just a nice add-on, not a necessity for his happiness

i think in the hamster wheel of my mind a big part of where people go wrong with eddie and his shitty garage band as an extension is that they for some bizarre reason think he's gene simmons metal when he's jack black metal. heavy metal. he's tenacious d metal. he's school of rock. he's stoner lord of the rings metal he nearly wore blue jeans and plaid. jack black literally in real life once said eddie was the best character bc he's heavy metal like him. I mean I was already planning to write a short fic about Isabeau's perspective of Siffrin losing his eye. However, learning Isabeau was the one who Crafted the eyepatch so his friend could wear something comfortably is definitely a useful bit of context.

Wowie!! Look at that!! Mack made the Elite Trine in Pony Town!!

They have cutiemark things too!! Starscream has a star, Skywarp has a cloud, and Thundercracker has a lightning bolt!!

I also made them little holiday costumes and a second Screamer where he has a crown!

I'm really really proud of them!! I've been hanging out around the gravity falls section as Skywarp because my friends like to go as Bill and Ford!!!

Also the campsite as Starscream when all the bubbles get to be a bit too much.

i find it funny when people are like "if youre gonna be like that you can just leave" expecting you to immediately change your attitude and beg to be allowed to stay. i didnt even want to be here in the first place if you say the words "you can just leave" im outta there so fast i leave a me shaped hole in the wall.

especially if that person has been my employer for 10 whole minutes and has done nothing but rapid fire everything wrong with my outfit when they didnt tell me the dress code besides "black shirt and black pants" and then start getting rude and disrespectful when i start getting overwhelmed and ask if i can come in on thursday instead of wednesday so i can fix everything wrong with my uniform.

"if youre gonna be like that we cant have you here" ok bye! am i supposed to get on my hands and knees and beg you to let me stay? you have already shown enough disrespect for the whole day in 10 minutes when i have made it abundantly clear that this is my first job EVER and i am extremely nervous. you will not disrespect me just because you are my boss. respect is earned and that goes for people in positions of "authority" as well

(i write authority in quotes becasue what the hell are you gonna do? fire me? i just left! you have no real authority in the real world and you take that out on the people who work for you, because youre a weak little man with no control over his own life, who conditioned them into thinking they have no other real option besides working for you and homelessness. but you forget there are still people who have free will and can leave whenever they want, and autistic people who dont give a shit about what you think about them for doing that)
