Another one to not really be seen baking unless someone invites him to do it. Except unlike Alex, who can make do, he's terrible at it. It's just not one of his fortes! He can cook... to an extent.... but his baking is on a whole 'nother level.

He does really enjoy it though, just... mostly aesthetically? The process of creating something from scratch, assembling the ingredients, kneading them together, and watching them become something beautiful - it's all very soothing to him. Loves the smell too.

Regardless of if you're in a platonic or romantic relationship, he would never decline an invitation to come bake with you. Though he would definitely stay on the sidelines, prefering to instead keep you company and hand you what you ask for. Forages with Leah sometimes, so may have some fresh ingredients on hand too!

Will send you recipes that remind him of you in the mail and include a short handwritten poem with every one <3

When he's not out training, or hanging with friends, Alex would definitely enjoy baking with Evelyn from time to time. He's a bit messy with the technique, and requires a lot of direction, but he really enjoys the process, and is fond of the bond created during.

He especially loves his grandmother's cookies, and will sometimes request flavours he's craving.

He doesn't bake frequently though, and he definitely doesn't attempt it often alone. Even when he follows a recipe, or tries to recall how his grandmother did it, he just can't get it right. So he usually prefers helping, it's the bonding he cares more about anyways.

Listen, he CAN bake, he's actually not too bad at it even, he just never does. Honestly Shane never enjoyed cooking, he'd much prefer microwave meals, or grabbing a feed from the saloon. He just doesn't like it. In fact, the only reason he's any good at it at all is because of Jas.

Shane struggles a bit with Jas. He worries alot that he's not present enough for her, or that he can't be the father figure she needs, so every now and again he'll try to put in a little extra effort, just to show her he cares.

The first time he tried baking was for one of Jas' birthdays. It was a simple cake, something easy for his first time, but he had a lot of trouble following the recipe, and the kitchen was a mess after it. He almost swore never to do it again. But seeing her reaction made it all worth it. So if he does bake, it'll be with Jas.

Occasionally, he'll participate in a tea party with her too :,)

Honestly, if you wanted to bake with him, I don't see him doing it? At least not for a long time, and not until you were really good friends. If you do manage to rope him into it, he's more inclined to keep you company or pass you things, but will carry out tasks you ask him to do. 

If he has a crush on you, he may very subtly hint towards certain recipes he'd like to try. And if you invite him to make these recipes with you, he'll probably ask if you'd like to share a drink with him as well, so he has something to blame his blush on lol <3

If things get a bit more serious, I'd also see him roping you into baking with him and Jas - smile on his face the entire time.

Sebastian:

Local basement dweller probably does not bake. Probably pretty impartial to sweet things as well, I reckon he's more of a savory guy. He's just not really interested in it, seeing more value in doing other things. Nothing wrong with it. 

No one in his immediate friend group really does it all that much either, so he's also just never been roped into it.

If you liked baking, and you ever decided to invite him along for the ride, he'd actually be down for it. It's not his thing, but it's yours, and if it'd make you happy to spend time with him like that, he sees no reason to say no. Just... make sure to guide him along and give him tasks, otherwise he's completely lost :,)

If he has a crush on you, I could see him taking interest in your favourites - shyly requesting to cook those together next time. He'd try to appear nonchalant about the final product, but inside he's actually pretty happy he did it, especially after seeing your reaction. He's honestly inclined to do it again.

And if you guys do end up getting more serious, and he keeps up with baking together with you, he may actually even end up getting pretty good at it. Even going so far as to learn a few recipes by himself - like your favourites, or some bread for whenever you have pumpkin soup for dinner <3

When Emma wakes up the sleeping town, she tries to leave Granny's and ends up helping in a case that Emma's working on by following her nose. That episode also has her backstory, but when we first see her as Red in the Enchanted Forest, she's confident and helpful and not afraid to use her lycanthropy. But the start of her story has her being an innocent young woman with a love for discovering the world and her boyfriend Peter (of Peter and the Wolf, I guess). She meets Snow while still living with her Granny in her cabin in the woods and takes her in. She's so hopeful - and then she turns into a werewolf and kills Peter (after they all thought he was the werewolf and had chained him to a tree). She is obviously quite traumatized by this and takes off with Snow. But that and her subsequent adventures gives her the growth she needs to be comfortable in her own skin, whether human or wolf. And, when the curse breaks completely, you can see the change in her - she would absolutely walk through fire to help Snow and the other good guys.

Another version where Red Riding Hood also ends up being the Big Bad Wolf. She eats her boyfriend which is sad but she falls in love with Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz in like Season 5. Her red cloak is what keeps her in human form which I think is neat. When all the storybook characters are transported to the modern world, she runs a diner with Granny.

She's one of my favorite characters from Once Upon a Time. She's a cool Red Riding hood wolf girl who is bi and has seen like 3 of her love interests and her mother die. She slays very hard so I nominate her. (Also I used to have a crush on her as a kid)

Red Riding Hood but with a gun. (Specifically a combination scythe/high-impact sniper rifle called Crescent Rose). Also she's gone through so much she deserves it. She's trying to save the world and keep going despite all the people she's lost. Grew up dreaming of being a hero who fights monsters. She knows life isn't a fairy tale and wants to make it better. Just went through a mental health arc where she had depression from trying to live up to her (presumed dead) mom and from her friend dying for the second time. Killed the Big Bad Wolf with her magic eye powers. Her sister is Goldilocks and her friends are Beauty and Snow White. also I love her &lt;3

She is the main character of her show. The most common monster they fight is a type of wolf (its been a while since ive seen it). Her job is to hunt them down before they can eat her. this story is very much about failed fairy tales, many of the side character's inspired arcs end in failure, but (having not seen the most recent bits) Ruby is still going strong, and i really like her cape, rose petals, and use of a scythe.

She is THE RRH character of all time. She has a scythe that's also a gun and she has to be the hero because she's got super rare main character powers. She is my happy girl. Also her mom was Sleeping Beauty and her sister is Goldilocks, and she fights to stop Rapunzel from destroying everything on the world, the gods, and then herself.

So finding someone who fits his exact type would pique his interest;

Not enough that he’d stop being a snobbish wimp, of course;

But as someone who likes admiring cute things he’d make some effort to be around you more often;

He’d find excuses to talk to you and give you the occasional compliment, although with his permanently sarcastic tone of voice and general attitude it’s really hard to tell if he’s being genuine;

I think the special nicknames are the point where JB would be 100% sure that he has a crush on you;

Sure, he acts a little different towards you, but the way he treats you is similar to how he’d sometimes treat Jeremy, another person he finds to be incredibly cute;

So she wouldn’t assume it to be romantic initially;

But when he calls everyone the same few nicknames it kind of stands out when he calls you something different;

She has an eye for gossip, and would start reading too much into every single interaction she witnesses between you;

And yeah, JB might have a bit of a crush on Bae (He’s an attractive jerk and therefore fits her criteria) but in a rare display of compassion, or maybe morbid curiosity as to how it’d play out, she decides to play cupid;

But, like Bae, JB is allergic to the idea of subtlety;

She would straight up tell you that she knows you have feelings for him and she thinks he very obviously likes you too;

And would proceed to feed you information about Bae;

Things that she learned from attending Jerksquad meetings and information Shiloh gathered for her;

Bae would not make a move until he’s forced to;

Being exactly his type wouldn’t change that, so unless you want to start dating him after graduating high school, making a move would be up to you;

He just thinks high school romances are silly and he intends to date to marry so he doesn’t want to waste time on something like this if it isn’t going to be serious;

And I do think his massive ego would kind of make him avoid a scenario in which he’s possibly rejected;

Anyways— if you do end up in a relationship, I don’t think that much would change;

Only that his insistence on dressing you up would grow and he’d go as far as to buy you outfits and accessories to wear;

He does have way too much money at his disposal and I think he’d genuinely have a lot of fun with it!

Idk about you, but personally I like Wally because of his hair. I mean come on! He's clearly put a lot of effort into his appearance and I respect that.(But it was mainly because of fan fiction and fan art I'll be honest...and probably because he's kinda mysterious at the minute)

Thank you so much for the compliment! I try my best to make people feel comfortable and accepted here! Oh, yeah, it is true that he is mysterious rn! If I had to make an educated guess as to why I like him so much, it is because he seems to either be evi/antagonist or in danger. At least, that's what the fandom seems to believe. I won't get into speculation though, for Clown's sake. I just tend to love characters that are horrible, sympathetic, go through absolute torment, and/or fit a certain aesthetic!

Putting a read more because I think I started ranting about the types of characters I love. Also, SPOILERS FOR A COUPLE OF GAMES/SHOWS I AM SORRY AHH-

Wally is just so out of left field in comparison to a lot of the other characters. Like... imagine going from uh... I think it was either Victor Frankenstein or Dr. Takuto Maruki, to a small little muppet man. (OH WAIT NO I JUST CHECKED. I actually went from Sunny's dad from Omori. I just lived my Smol bean interpretation of him. Everyone thinks he's evil or cruel but I don't really believe it, personally).

I also tend to love the characters that are not well liked (Like Sunny's dad omfg I love him-). An example is Dr. Daniel Dickens from Angels of Death. Everybody thinks he's really weird and creepy, which he is, but I find his character to be extremely intriguing and, as such, loveable! Same with Reverend Gray from Angels of Death. They both fit the villain/antagonist role, as well as fitting a certain aesthetic (mad doctor/scientist and evil priest).

Takuto Maruki fits the more sympathetic part, but he is also considered an antagonist. I wouldn't consider him evil, due to his plans being to try to make the world a place of eternal happiness in response to his own grief (kinda like "if I can't be happy, I'll make sure everybody else is"). I also don't believe I love him the exact same way everybody else does. Like, you either love him or hate him, but I haven't seen many people be like "I have a HUGE CRUSH on this man" besides the characters in the game.

Maison Talo, the character I mentioned in my post, is also kind of (not that much) in the same boat as Maruki, but in a more disturbing way. He isn't trying to help the world, he is just trying to survive, and it seems like he might've been on the brink of dying when you got there from the way I interpret some of his dialogue. He's GOTTA eat people, and depending on your choices/ending he seems to feel genuinely bad for having to eat you. So, at least for me, I can't help but feel a little bad. Kind of like when you see a lot of people calling a vampire or something a monster for trying to drink blood, but then you think to yourself "wait... Don't they HAVE to drink blood? They kind of have no choice."

OMG AND I ALSO LOVE THE OBSESSIVE CHARACTERS! I have never really been into romance, but I LOVE yanderes. I don't condone their actions, of course, and needless to say I would PROBABLY be horrified if I ever met one in real life. It is more like... the psychology of what would make a character a yandere that I like. Then, I can't help but get just as obsessed with them as much as they are with their love! I even kind of try to imagine what would make the other, non-yandere characters I love become a yandere, or if it might just be impossible.

The last kind I can think of right now are characters I relate to. I have a crush on Lewis Finch, from What Remains of Edith Finch, because I can relate in a small way to getting dragged into your daydreams. I have seen others interpret him as hallucinating, but I got more of a daydream vibe from him. It was the first time I saw a character that I can relate to in that aspect, so I really liked him! Then, like turned to a crush, overtime, as I investigated his room more in an attempt to figure out more about his personality.

I am so sorry this is so long! I just like to explain why I love certain character types! I kind of have a passion for it, maybe because I love writing characters, myself. It was a lot of fun to write this, too! YIPPEE!

Mondstadt is everyone's home but my fave region/s is Sumeru & Fontaine. I was hyped abt these regions since the patch I started the game (which was Kazuha's first run) and both locations did not disappoint. Sumeru's cast is just so lovely, I don't think there was a single miss. Idk why, but Sumeru people just give me vibes that they're the type of people I'd meet irl. There's just something so "yeah I know people like them" when I see Dehya, Candace, Nilou, Kaveh, Faruzan, etc. If Mondstadt feels like home, Sumeru's people feels like the people you share a meal with inside said home. I think the only thing I was disappointed about was how the dendro archon isn't a male. I was so hyped about playable!Su from Honkai and when we got Alhaitham my dreams were CRUSHED

Haven't explored most of Fontaine yet but the roster already has some of my fave Eng VAs so... 👉👈. I mean, c'mon. Ray Chase? JOE ZIEJA??? Y'all are killing me here. And Furina's VA is sooooo good too. Ngl, I thought a huge chunk of Fontaine would have a heavy dystopian steampunk but the "poverty" side feels a little more brighter than expected but that's acceptable since Navia exists <333 fontaine is so beautiful, I wanna see how Snezhnaya would do their aesthetics too.

When I watch the MDZS donghua, I literally have to pause every time he comes on the screen just so I can stare at him a bit, so you could say I’m a bit obsessed

3) Kim Theerapanyakul from KinnPorsche

He’s this weird little guy that is simultaneously the most competent character in the show and the biggest cringe-fail loser. He looks so suave and cool on the surface with his whole Taylor Swift by day mafia prince detective by night thing but then you realize he’s actually a complete nerd with a whole ass literal murder conspiracy board hidden behind a giant selfie portrait of himself and I love him so much (also he’s played by Jeff Satur, who makes my aesthetic attraction senses go haywire, but that’s neither here nor there)

My 1st fictional crush and prob my earliest blorbo. My type in favorite fictional male character (hypercompetent stoic character that doesn’t talk much with bonus points for iconic hair) can 100% be attributed to him. His story was the earliest villain redemption arc I can remember encountering in media (this was the 1st anime I ever watched so I was like 4 or 5 when I 1st saw this guy) and so for me I always think of him when I see people talking about iconic redemption arcs (sorry Zuko)

5) Midorima Shintarou from Kuroko no Basket

At the peak of my high school sports anime phase, this guy was my favorite. He’s tall, he’s green, he’s an anime glasses character™️, he’s tsundere, he’s prissy, he’s weird af, he’s got one of the most bonkers basketball skills ever, and he’s even an astrology girlie. What’s not to love

6) Merlin from BBC Merlin

BBC Merlin is the fandom that sucked me in at a time where I thought I was growing out of fandom and fanfic (spoiler alert: I very much was not) and it’s responsible for completely changing my relationship with fandom into something much more intense than it was previously. And it’s all thanks to this funky skinny wizard man who for whatever reason captivated me enough that I read hundreds of thousands of fan-created words about him for nearly a year and a half

7) Jasnah Kholin from The Stormlight Archive

She’s one of the rare canonically asexual female characters, and she’s even from a major fantasy book series too! I fixated on this character long before I knew I was ace (though perhaps that should’ve been a clue lol), mostly because I just thought she was so cool and I found her whole “why would I want a relationship when I’m busy with all this shit to study” attitude so relatable

8) Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender

I wanted to be her so badly when I was a kid y’all have no idea. She just made such an impression on me because she’s so cool and so strong but also unapologetically and obviously feminine and that really struck a chord with young me and is prob the reason why I didn’t really have a “not like the other girls” phase cuz she was revolutionary for little me’s idea of how a “girl” can be. To this day she is the character that to me has the coolest powers ever

9) Cassandra of Troy from Greek Mythology

It’s prob weird to include her but I was a real greek mythology girlie (in that I was into it before Percy Jackson came out) and Cassandra has always my favorite. The tragedy of her story has always been very appealing to me and upsettingly relatable in a lot of ways

starting with the camming au because this is gonna get long with coping skills stuff. while there is some overlap, especially in caleb, i/we came at clothing from different places for both these aus so!

rts!essek: his main premise was "trendsetter" ala wisdom kaye in that he has a LOT of designer pieces and knows how to wear them in eyecatching ways. in rhosohna its very much a form of armor for him, fitting in and hiding by standing out. he tones it down in rexxentrum a fair bit to not stand out TOO MUCH or in the wrong way. he's very much the sort to shop based off name--he has designers he trusts with his life--but he's also a bit more of a quality over quantity type. he likes things he can repurpose into other looks with ease a lot too and he is VERY ingrained in what he deems acceptable for his wardrobe: colors, textures, patterns, etc. this is part of why The Robe hits him so hard. it's just to the left of something he'd choose for himself, right on paper in several ways while still being so very uniquely caleb that he has to cry

funfact, esseks big asymmetrical coat he wears in the hello daddy scene is based off one my buddy owned that had NO SHOULDERS so you just... looked like uncle fester, but for some reason it went so hard

rts!caleb: very much a guys guy kinda guy. he's dressed, his clothes are generally clean and in good repair, and they fit him well enough to the average eye. he'd like to do "better" but he lacks knowledge and resources especially, but he knows enough that he'll opt for one pair of vintage jeans over two pairs of modern jeans for the same price. tends to shop by fabric type, favoring natural fibers over synthetic (plastic). enjoys wearing clothes gifted to him by friends, especially when visiting that friend, to show that he cares. diligently hangs his most of his clothes to air dry, routinely conditions all his leather items. if he is going to pay too much money for clothing he's going to ensure things last as long as feasibly possible

with coping skills tho, there are several things that intertwine within their presentation, so, sum facts first

cs!essek: "dark academia" but he would never in his life call it that. shopping is his comfort from the horrors of his chronic pain. thusly he buys entirely too much clothing. gets basically everything tailored (to make it comfier). doesn't actually think too much about like material type or how quality an item is (beyond it not being absolute garbage), but focuses more on aesthetic over all else. has several piercings but wears very basic steel jewelry in all of them 98% of the time

cs!caleb: does in fact have more than one pair of jeans, he just only brought one pair of jeans to rhosohna. he in fact only brought a pretty small percentage of his clothes to rhosohna (he has probably two fairly big tubs in storage, including nicer clothing that isn't *interview* clothing). generally buys his shirts a smidge too big. often unconsciously buys clothing that reminds him of his crush/datemate/playpartner for himself as a lil hug

and now!!! the PARALLELLS

they both take meticulous care of their physical flesh, but for different reasons. caleb is VERY hairy compared to drow, pubs included, so essek doesn't make the connection but caleb does manscape, and does a lot of regular upkeep for his beard plus a lot of intentional care with his hair (it does have a style it's just not all blunt at the bottom the way most xhorhassian's keep theirs, thank u essek). caleb finds a lot of comfort in maintaining his body because its his and its the only one he gets. essek otoh resents his duty towards his body. he does it all, but he cuts corners as much as he can; he has short hair so upkeep isn't as draining even if it is scandalous; he doesn't paint his nails except for special occasions and only puts in bare minimum to keep them filed and tidy; he does skin care purely because he could not bear the indignity of others perceiving him as anything less than perfect but he's sloppy about it. he takes his pills, he eats the bare minimum, he moves the bare minimum, he socializes the bare minimum, and he is very content being mad at his flesh for betraying him, thank you

they both heavily curate their appearances to fit in with what is expected of them. with essek its the blouses and pressed trousers to appear respectable and cultured, with all the bits and bobs and layers that go with, and with caleb its the worn in jeans and flannels country boy look. essek dresses the way he does so he doesnt have to fight (his mother mostly) and so other people don't talk down to him in ways they shouldnt. caleb dresses the way he does because a) its comfortable and easy to travel with but b) it makes him unassuming so he is so much more able to observe

and also lastly, they obviously both really really like the kink aspects of clothing. they really get off on the possessives of wearing the others clothes or seeing the other wear theirs, they both really get off on the routine and anticipation of getting undressed (or the animal passion of just tugging pants down enough to get ur dick out before going at it) as well as the tease of redressing. ch 32 and 33 with all the gala clothe stuff is going to be SO HORNY (i'm sorry verin)

You went on your day like always, but Ant did shine more in the crowds than usual in your eyes. No ody could blame you after what you read. And he was actually just blanantly staring at you sometime even and turning away swiftly with fluster.

What is Robert Pattinsons "Little Pillow"?

And, most importantly, how did Robert Pattinson attempt to monetize it?

In the midst of lock-down, when nobody (including celebrities) had anything to do, Robert Pattinson was stranded with nothing but three t-shirts and access to a little corner store. He was supposed to be temporarily staying in a London flat during the filming of Batman, which he starred in (as Batman). Yet in the wake of COVID-19 closures across the globe, he had been stranded with little food other than what the producers would send him according to his regulated Batman diet. Attempting to make productive use of his time, Pattinson decided to try a business concept he had come up with the prior year. He had recognized a gap in the market for fast-food pasta, and says that he “...was trying to figure out how to capitalize in this area of the market, and [he] was trying to think: How do you make a pasta which you can hold in your hand?” Let's not speculate on if this question should ever be answered, or the grammar in which it was asked. Because Pattinson attempted to answer it, and I think we can agree it would have been better off left as a concept rather than a tangible object.

According to GQ, at the start of his entrepreneurship journey, "he went so far as to design a prototype that involved the use of a panini press, and then... set up a meeting with Los Angeles restaurant royalty Lele Massimini." This meeting had little success, and Massimini was, thankfully, unimpressed.

Back in 2019, my dad had an idea to create brownie-ice-cream popsicles. He created a ton of prototype batches, much to the enjoyment of my brother and I. His idea was, I can assure you, much tastier and a much more viable concept. So how come he never got a meeting with Los Angeles restaurant royalty? Because he never played the sparkly, blood-lusted love interest in a teen film.

When you have the sort of stardom that comes from helping create over 300 million dollars in profit, you have a lot working for you. You have an insurance to these types of connections. Fortunately, for the good of society, these connections don't ensure a product launch.

Pattinsons unsuccessful meeting in 2019 did, sadly, not deter him from further cuisine pursuits in 2020. In May of 2020, he recreated this pasta phenomenon in his interview with QC magazine. After reading the instructions for creating one of these Picconolo Cuscino dishes, I'm sure you'll agree the world is left much better without it.

Do not try this at home.

Ingredients:

breadcrumbs or cornflakes

pre-sliced cheese

tomato sauce

pasta

half a burger bun

sugar

Other items:

lighter

aluminum foil

microwave

latex gloves

Directions:

Put on gloves (it's about to get messy)

2. Cover pasta with water in a bowl and microwave for 8 minutes.

3. While cooking, create a bowl-shape out of aluminum foil, and cover with crushed up cornflakes or breadcrumbs.

4. Cover with sugar.

5. Place cheese slices on top

Allegedly, Pattinson used nine packs of cheese for this.

6. and then cover with more sugar.

7. Cover with tomato sauce.

8. When pasta is finished microwaving, dump it on top of your creation.

At this point, Pattinson says there is "...absolutely no chance this is gonna work. Absolutely none,” But keep going anyways.

9. Pour more sugar on top of the pasta.

10. Hollow out your half of the burger bun, and place it on top.

Before this next step, take off your latex gloves. Pattinson didn't, and it did not go well.

11. Take your lighter and burn a fun design onto the top for aesthetic quality points.

Robert says “I’m just gonna do the initials.…” meaning P.C., for Piccolini Cuscino. The interviewer, Zach Baron, at GQ, says "at this point, he accidentally ignites one of his latex gloves, which promptly melts onto his palm." So take extra caution. This part could hurts

12. Wrap your pasta concoction in more aluminum foil, creating a type of ball.

13. Place the pasta ball in the microwave for ten minutes.

At this point, if you've done this correctly, the microwave should shark, catch on fire, and shut down the electricity, just as it did in the GQ interview.

I don't recommend eating. Robert Pattinson didn't. He figured it was best left ignored, and thats precisely what he did.

He says, “I’m really trying to sell this company... I’m doing this for my brand.”

As of 2024, there have been no official mentions of a Piccolini Cuscino fast-food business. Let's hope there never are.

I know, i know 😭 (30% anon here). It's not that i think the idea is absurd at all, like you listed so many good things!! I'm just trying to actively lower my own expectations because i'm the type who gets really invested and then consequently really disappointed (though i guess since this is tumblr most of us are that type lmao). I'm just used to shows not following through with subtext, and i'm not only talking about gay subtext, but all different kinds of plots. I hear you though, trust me!

Since i'm already in your inbox, i have a question: have you been around for a while? What's the history of the byler ship? Was it always popular? Did people always think there might be a serious chance or was it more of a crackship? Were there any popular theories that came true or that were completely false? Since i'm super new to the show myself i'm curious!

yeah i totally get it. my brain is just not wired to be able to have lower expectations for something that his this much evidence for. im either 100% confident in something in a show or i have absolutely no idea whats gonna happen lmao.

i only started being active in this fandom a few months ago but ive shipped byler and followed lots of byler blogs for years. people started shipping byler after s2 came out. i didnt see anything about it during s1 because they literally had two scenes together and there was almost nothing really to work with. but when i watched s2 when it first came out i distinctly remember thinking “….is anybody else seeing this?? am i crazy orrr?” and then i went on here and found a small fandom of people who shipped them too so i was like “ok cool nice”. at this point it was mostly gifsets of their scenes together and maybe some edits and we hadnt established whether we were gonna spell it byeler or byler yet lmao. then i found @kaypeace21 and she was the first person i saw ever actually analyze it and really start to believe that everything might be intentional.

before i followed her, i never even considered that they might actually go through with byler. i think that was the case for most people during s2. i shipped it in the same way i currently ship ronance and steveddie. i thought they were cute and had good chemistry but i never believed it would go anywhere because of mlvn and also just the doubt that an insanely popular 80s scifi show would put their main characters in a gay relationship. i still loved reading kaypeace’s analyses but i wasnt convinced yet. then s3 came out and that changed everything for me and a lot of other people.

i watched s3 the day it came out hoping for some crumbs of byler but again, not at all expecting anything evident of them actually going through with it. it was kinda just in the back of my mind bc i love this show mostly for the supernatural plot. but during their fight scene when mike said “its not my fault you dont like girls” i was shocked. that convinced me that at least will would have a crush on mike but i still wasnt sure about mike until that painfully awkward kiss on the last episode. it wasnt until a few months later i rewatched that season and went back to kaypeace and found SO many things that i missed!! mike not letting el touch him when they kissed, the drastic tone and aesthetic difference between the break up and the byler fight, the frame of mike perfectly in a closet when they kissed!! i was completely sold then and so were a lot of people. i also think it was around this time that finn liked some byler art that had the quote “im not gonna fall in love” on it so that made a lot of people like 👀.

then everything the cast and duffers have said leading up to volume one only increased my confidence. i went into volume one completely expecting more obvious queer coding and i was right to. i was already overly confident but the biggest thing from volume one that made me more confident wasnt even a byler scene, it was mike and el’s fight. im glad they had her explicitly call him out for not saying he loves her. they kinda had to spell it out for the general audience. that was a really good scene and the fact that they played eulogy over it!!!?? insane. i lost my mind when i watched that episode a second time and realized that. that is 10000% intentional and the only explanation could be that that fight was the death of their relationship.

anywho yeah ive shipped them almost since the beginning and its been so fun slowly realizing that theyre actually going to do this and watching it build up and seeing the general audience start to catch on. it added a whole other layer to a show that already would have been my favorite either way just because of the plot alone.

A:  realistic

Probably not combat staff as much as anyone in the kingdoms can be noncombat staff. He's better in a fistfight than you'd expect, but only to an extent where he can protect himself in a pinch, not really do any significant damage to his oppinent. Has the best sense of when to just run the fuck away out of the whole gang.

B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

This is barely headcanon but he is literally the vainest motherfucker in the kingdoms. It's a good things everyone has fairly standard uniforms because Taion is absolutely the type who can't even think if someone's outfit clashes too badly around him. Runs on aesthetics and doesn't want to admit it, so he dresses it up as just being practical like a git.

C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Absolutely the one out of the gang who has the most dramatic nightmares. Will bolt awake mid-panic attack, and is very used to just having to push it down and get a hold of himself, and so everyone else kind of has to figure out on their own how to help him calm down and ground himself.

It's immensely frustrating, because Taion feels like a part of his duties is to maintain his composure and be the one supporting them through their crises -- he tries to dissociate away from his feelings to keep them under control and it takes him a very long time to be able to accept being comforted by anyone, which creates a lot of tension in all of his relationships.

D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

I don't quite buy the idea of the circular war myself, but if it is true then Taion was absolutely Lambda's commander in the past, and if the Ouroboros egg hadn't appeared, he would have still become its commander in the future on personal accolades alone. He would be good at it and it would destroy him on the inside.

Tianyou Zhao - Yakuza: Like a Dragon I have to start with this one, obviously. Who do you take me for? If you have been on my blog for 2 minutes, you know what I'm about. Has a big mouth, handsome, charming. His style. His voice. All of it. Love the "tough guy is secretly a softie" types.

2. Yato - Noragami Yato did nothing wrong ever and I won't hear otherwise. Okay maybe he did and his approach to a lot of things is pretty yikes as he tries to keep Yukine and Hiyori out of harms way. But still. Absolute Trash King.

3. Shorter Wong - Banana Fish I have with absolute fashion disaster icon characters who wear shades, own a restaurant and are gang leaders, okay? He's cute and loyal and I am in denial. Pls watch Banana Fish, it's so good.

4. Bruno Bucciarati - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Part 5) He's so caring and driven you will forget how crazy he is as he hides it underneath a layer of politeness.

5. Kaiji Itou - Kaiji Kaiji is one of the smartest and dumbest characters ever at the same time, and also one of the most pathetic ones. He has a good heart and a gambling problem and he never knows when to quit.

6. V - Devil May Cry 5 Something about his bony ass, his tattoos, the poetry reading have compelled me. He is a nice contrast to the rest of the cast and I found his relationship with essentially himself and the others very interesting.

7. Castiel - Supernatural I know. Don't laugh. Yes, I watched all of Supernatural and yes, I loved it with all its flaws. This was actually a hard decision between him and Dean ngl. It was very interesting to watch him go from cold soldier to a caring angel.

8. Demon Salvatore - The Vampire Diaries Yes, I was a teen during the 2010's and it shows. Twilight was peaking and vampires were the shit. All the girls had either a crush on him or on Stefan. That smirk and the bad boy aesthetic got to me.

9. Loki Look, you can say about the MCU what you want, I don't watch Marvel stuff anymore either. But there was a phase and he's still dear to me. If nothing else he got me super into Norse mythology so there is that.

10. Ronan Lynch - The Raven Cycle The only character to represent a book series. Sad, I know. I should read more. Ronan is another though guy who is kind of a softie. Especially for Adam. Also his ability to pull stuff out of his dreams is super cool.

I’ll talk about them from order of closeness! Estelle doesn’t hate any of them during their time in Chaldea so I’ll be talking about that rather than what happened in the LBs.  She generally maintains a friendly relation with all of them. Sort of. 

WARNING: THIS IS LONG TOO. I’m so sorry. 

Pepe: Estelle sees him as a fashion icon and they indulge in many self-care sessions together. Think fluffy bathrobes, manicured nails, hair wrapped in towels, sipping on fancy wine while Michael Bublé plays in the background type girls nights out sessions. Pepe and her love to gossip and even try on makeup on each other. Chaldea’s halls are desolate but the hall where A-Team’s quarters are is quite lively because of these two. Pepe is like a doting mom figure to Estelle and she holds a great deal of respect for him and his high heels! Also because Pepe was the only person who managed to beat her in hand to hand combat, Estelle doesn’t dare underestimate him one bit. 

Ophelia: Heaven help a fool who falls in love, am I right? Estelle is Mash’s teacher, and that’s the only reason Ophelia put up with her at first. Estelle drags Mash into her shenanigans, much to Ophelia’s embarrassment. She basically wants to help Ophelia make more friends. They did bond over Wagner’s operas, but given Ophelia’s introverted personality, Estelle does most of the talking. Now the most interesting is that Estelle, despite being insane and possessive, didn’t feel anything hostile toward Ophelia who deeply admired/crushes on Kirschtaria, only saying things like “I can’t blame you, he’s just that sort of person.” 

Beryl: Put these two in the same room and it’s either a party or a nightmare. Beryl claims to be friends with others and gets along with them, so naturally he and Estelle would be friends! He also claims to understand Estelle and her love and he believes that she shares his perspective of the world - and even praises her love and dedication to Kirschtaria. But in the “I’ll root for you, so don’t get in the way of my love, okay?” way. Estelle actually thinks he’s really funny. They share similar aesthetics too, but she tells him she’s not “scandalous enough to show off her ankles” like he does. She didn’t get to find out what he did to Mash until much later and she was quite pissed about it. 

Daybit: Estelle and him can have the most profound conversations about magecraft, phenomena, metaphysical level things that are difficult to understand. Estelle is interested in him purely because she doesn’t understand what he is and she likes people who can hold her interest like that. They’re less than friends and more like acquaintances, with him being aloof and her being more outgoing and energetic. She made Area 51 jokes when she found out he was from Nevada but he just stared at her for five whole minutes straight before going “...Try again.” Ever since then, she became determined to find a joke he would find funny. So far with no success. Even though Kirschtaria helped her :( 

Hinako: Hinako always turned down Estelle’s request to hang out because she really didn’t find any use in Estelle’s company. She was warned in being close to Estelle by Marisbury because Estelle likes anything out of the ordinary and will tear it apart to understand it. And Hinako is beyond ordinary. Not that she had any intention in getting close to Estelle who didn’t mind being rejected so many times. Estelle always throws an offer to Hinako’s way for a tea party, dinner or spa because she knows it’d make Pepe happy if she showed up. 

Kadoc: This poor boy is absolutely terrified of Estelle and makes sure to always steer clear of her. If he disliked Kirschtaria because he thought Kirschtaria was the epitome of mage ideals, then Estelle is infinitely worst in that regard. Kadoc is keenly aware of others around him, his inferiority complex aside, and he just gets the worst vibes from Estelle. He’s right though because his survival instincts kick in around her. She believes that the strong should dominate - so Kadoc barely entered her line of sight. She didn’t hate or shun him or anything, she just forgets he exists and when she notices him, he looks so squirrely and she thinks he might pass out. Kirschtaria would point it out sometimes, but that sends Kadoc into a bout of anxiety and thinks Kirschtaria is picking on him, when that’s not the case.
