there is so much to unpack with the top gun characters, mav + his guilt he's been suppressing all these years, hangman and his tendancy to be a douche (there's something there) but especially rooster. i absolutely adore they made him a complex character.

like when we first meet rooster, he's walking out of his car and into the bar like he's the shit. he's hot and he knows it. he's oozing confidence and radiating swagger. and he'll play piano and sing in front of people, make quips and all that jazz. but when you dig down a little you start to find the cracks. the insecurities and self doubt that would've festered over the years. with his dad dying and then his mom and then mav's betrayal.... all that would've festered into anxiety and the movie shows it.

he doesn't make the move to "kill" maverick when they were in training bc the altitude was too low, he was afraid of crashing. he goes slower, making his team a minute slow in the training. even in the mission he's going slower, he's not completely trusting himself. but then he listens to maverick. you think up there you die. so he stops thinking. he just feels. he just does. and if works, he gets the mission done and he saves mav.

this movie did a beautiful job of making rooster this cocky aviator with a heart of gold but also...they portrayed him as human. he's angry and mav for pulling his papers. of course he is and of course he's gonna hold the grudge. but he gets defensive so quickly when someone (hangman) talks about his dad. he, just like mav, isn't ready to let go of past. that's the recurring theme. sometimes the past really drags you under. and it was drowning rooster.

but he talks to mav and they start airing out their shit but they don't resolve it all before the mission. it's why rooster goes back because it's maverick. he's still the only dad he's ever really known and the thought of losing him like that....when there's still so much to say...rooster doesn't even want to think about it.

he's so complicated like i love this little man. i love how human he is and how he isn't an all mighty. he makes mistakes and he's imperfect and djsmdkdkdkdk i love it

What I'm thinking: did Aziraphale kiss Crowley back, even if for just one second? Did he, for a split moment, close his eyes or was his face just super tense? Did he grab Crowley's back voluntarily? Why didn't he push Crowley away? Is it because, deep down, he wanted it or is it because he was too shocked to do anything? But if even the smallest part of him liked it, he wouldn't have looked so distraught after, would he? When he said "I forgive you", does it mean he was hurt? The way he touched his lips, the unsteady breathing, was he just shoked? Hurt? Did he wish he could have that moment back to make things right? Is the answer "all three of them"? Does he know what the answer is?

I like to think, that even tho Leo is not really a fan of spicy in any level food (just not created for it), he would totally eat it if the person with which he hang out enjoyed it

As for Donnie, he's a fan of medium lvl spicy food but don't mind more spicy

Cassandra has the same situation as Leo, but she'll eat it even if someone told her that she doesn't have to (she took it as a Challenge)

Casey? He didn't even have an apportunity to try any of this, so let's leave this Apocalyptic boy from it, save him

Hey do you guys remember how long it took for Essek to show his natural awkwardness around the Nein? Do you remember how they were friends with him for three months before he even tried making jokes around them? Do you remember the long slow process of him letting down the Shadowhand mask and openly showing how much he enjoyed their antics?

Did you see Essek just being himself around Bell's Hells, this bunch of weirdos he'd never met, even as he pretended to be someone else? Did you see him cracking that dumb joke about his pretend mother being able to stop time with enough ale, and laughing with them? Did you see him watching them for all of five minutes and going, 'This has been a very interesting first impression. I'm excited to see how strange this gets!'

Do you realise how much easier and freer with people he is now? How despite dropping the Shadowhand sleekness and showing his awkward side, he somehow seems more confident? Do you realise that despite the situation right now, Essek seems happy?

The magic bell rolls around in Laios' bag and rings constantly because Toshiro didn't think to stuff it with a piece of paper before giving it to the most physically active fighter in the group who does all the runnining aroundening.

The one he JUST brawled for being imperceptive.

Blurting out that he would help him escape the Elf Cops took priority. He NEEDED Laios to know this so bad. I just know he was thinking about putting that bell in his hand as soon as he started sharing how he wished that he'd told Falin how much she meant to him sooner but was trying to think of the right moment. He was absolutely BESIEGED by the autistic swagger of the Touden siblings. How can you not start scratching the furniture thinking about it

No you don't understand how important it is to me that Caleb and Essek have this soft, deep, profound love for each other. These two people who were so broken and saw themselves as so damaged and irredeemable and utterly damned, having the chance to heal together and cultivate this sweet, gentle relationship with each other. The fact that they can now carve out moments of joy together, that they proved you can change and better yourself, with time and effort and love.

Matt taking the time to show that even in just a few little ways, to let Essek express his love so casually and with so much reverence and care is just AUGH. That's how you do redemption arcs. He understood the assignment. That's not only respecting the players for the time they put in to creating these characters and their pathways for growth, but also saying to your players (and viewers), "it's possible. Everyone deserves a second chance at happiness."

They redeemed themselves, together.

[ID: A colourless, digital Trigun comic of Vash and Wolfwood talking about Wolfwood's scars. They're both laying in bed and topless. Vash lays on top of Wolfwood, playing with the rosary around his neck. Then, Vash kisses a spot on Wolfwood's chest. Wolfwood asks, "What are you doing?" Vash smiles sadly, "You got shot here. In the last town we visited. You didn't even bother moving."

Vash props himself up over Wolfwood, who frowns slightly. Wolfwood is quiet for a moment before he says, "You remember that, huh?" Vash grabs Wolfwood's left wrist and brings it to his face. "And here." He kisses another spot there. "When you helped free the hostages from that robber..." Wolfwood dismissively says, looking away, "Was a lucky shot." Vash huffs, “Don’t brag. Jeez.”

Half of Wolfwood's expression is shown, eyes returning to Vash who is now sitting up, continuing to say, "And..." Vash goes on and kiss Wolfwood's right palm. "You got cut here, even though that girl was aiming at me." A moment from the past flashes, of Wolfwood grabbing a knife aimed at Vash, his hand bleeding.

At present, Vash moves down and puts another kiss on Wolfwood's right shoulder. "And here, from watching my back." Another memory flashes of Wolfwood and Vash back to back. Vash looks back as Wolfwood grins while holding Punisher, bleeding from multiple gunshots in his shoulder.

"And," Vash combs up Wolfwood's hair to reveal his forehead, "Here." A final memory shows Wolfwood with a regeneration vial in his mouth while getting shot on his temple. The next panel is framed in blood with Vash at the center, eyes wide and stunned in horror. The next panel is a closed up shot of Wolfwood's eye, locked on Vash's face.

Back to present, Vash’s head is bowed down as Wolfwood raises a hand to his nape and says, “Spikey.”

Wolfwood looks serious and frowns as he says, "We talked about this. Those were my decisions. They're not there anymore. Forget about them." Vash looks very sad before he smiles ruefully and says, "I still see them. All the time." He leans down so they touch foreheads. Wolfwood’s sorrowful expression can be seen as Vash says, "You protect so much. I could never forget what you've done to me. And many others..."

In the last image, they're drawn more cartoonishly. Wolfwood sweats and asks, "You don't actually remember every wound, right?" Vash points at a spot on his chest. "Kuroneko left a scratch here 7 times." Wolfwood, startled, says, "Why the hell are you keeping count—" End ID]

It starts with Character B kissing their cheek, the corner of their mouth, their jaw, down to their neck. Soft, soft pecks, all innocent; light touches of their lips to Character A's skin.

And then—

"I like it when you kiss my neck," Character A admits when Character B pulls away to look at them. Character B lets the confession linger in the air for no longer than a second before they take that as a sign to trail even more kisses down their neck, lips attaching to their neck in almost an instant.

Character A tilts their head back for easier access, letting out hushed sighs and soft moans and gasps as Character B trails open-mouthed kisses down their neck, hand on the nape of their neck to pull Character B impossibly closer; unable to get enough of them no matter what.

This spurs Character B on even more — excites them, even — as they pull the collar of their shirt down to trail more open-mouth kisses on their exposed skin; resists the temptation to leave marks on an empty canvas; presses themselves flush against Character A, leaving no space between them untouched.

Their legs are tangled together, Character A's fingers are in Character B's hair, Character B has Character A pressed against the bed, body against body.

And it's addicting, in very different ways for the both of them (but also to an extent, in the same ways).

"Fuck," Character A lets out in a rushed breath when Character B pulls away to look at them and Character B grins, leaning down to leave a soft, lingering kiss on their lips.

what's funny is i did not expect to get this attached to tommy kinard this quickly. and that is 100% thanks to lou and the way he plays him because, like, i've always liked tommy. you guys know me, i'm always a little bit in love with a character who's an asshole. and even though haters beat me to DEATH with this word, I was just, like, yeah yeah plot device, you know, he'll come in, he'll do a little dance, he'll leave blah blah blah. but god i just want to hold onto him forever. there are so many little layers and nuances to his character that make me absolutely feral and i just want to take him apart and see what's underneath. to my genuinely tremendous and enormous shock, i have fallen so deeply in love it's almost embarrassing. anyways. yeah. tommy kinard you will always be famous to ME
