We're on our very final day of Sloane Washington Appreciation Week!! It's been amazing, especially since we've seen quite a few new faces this year contributing and giving Sloane lots of love. We can't wait to see what more you all have in store for us!! 💞💞💞

Tomorrow is Day 5 - our last day - and we have two themes!!

Our first theme is about Hobbies. Think about things Sloane would like outside of her job and her special interest in science. What would she do for fun? Are there things that the MC or Hayden or the group introduce her to, that she begins to enjoy? Are there things she introduces them to??

Our second is, of course, PETS! We know she loves cats, and in time she warms up to Dipper too. So this is where you can explore what kind of pets you'd like Sloane to have, if any, and how she takes care of them 😍

As always, any form of appreciation is welcome! Fanfic, fanart, meta, edits, moodboards, playlists, headcanons, interactive media, even screenshots of favourite scenes or simple posts about your love for her!! Our only requirement is that you center Sloane in your work, and that the depiction is positive!

We also accept WIPs - we know irl can be hard and you may not always get the time to finish off stuff, so do show us a WIP of what you're working on if you're comfortable! We keep our event open even after the deadline (the deadline is mostly for our thank you video!) so you can send in your work anytime as well.

share a personal headcanon that you feel very strongly about: i have really big feelings about 4x11 (it's one of my absolute favorite episodes of television, truly) & the powder keg that is the whole day between ian & mickey. you can read some of those thoughts here, but basically i think that regardless of love or mania, ian stopped taking mickey's safety into account when he was pushing him to come out. one day i will find the og meta post i wrote!! i still stand by it! 🗣

1. Icon: Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal because this is a Hannibal/Hannigram blog and I think he looks super cute and sassy and attractive in that shot - and I love his hair like that! 😍

2. Content: I would say most of my posts are Mads Mikkelsen or Hannigram related (occasionally NSFW),  a mixture of gifs, fanart, meta, fanfic, etc. Since I’m also a fanfic writer I post fanfic/writing stuff too with a sprinkling of random other stuff. Early on I had no idea the “rules” for making a blog so I ended up making a separate blog for anything non-Hannibal related.

3. Letter color: White - no particular reason other than I thought it looked nice with the dark red background.

4. URL: Let me start by saying I’m terrible at making user names, hence why I have a different one for almost every platform, none of which are particularly meaningful. 😅 When I made this blog I knew I wanted it Hannibal and Mads Mikkelsen related. So it’s really as simple as mads/teacup (mads=Mads Mikkelsen, teacup=reference to teacup in Hannibal).

5. Header: I really wanted something Hannigram-y since my icon was just Mads/Hannibal so I picked that iconic scene from the show - the beginning of Will’s becoming where Hannibal is holding Will’s face like he’s going to kiss him *melts* Perfection. 👌🏻

6. Blog title: “Hannigram Etc.” It’s what it says on the tin - mostly Hannigram and I kind of figured the “Etc.” covered anything else I decided to post. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Finally, the Sasuke support blog I’ve been looking for! 😍😍😍 Sasuke is my favourite character in the series and I’m still outraged at how he was so wronged by everyone. Also yeah, I know, I’d love to find some Sasuke+Team Taka blogs but there is none. I mostly follow fanarts blogs because there aren’t many pro-Sasuke blogs around, and most of the existing ones are kinda shady.

A lot look suspiciously identical like run by the same person and I don’t engage with shady anything. Also I disagree with most opinions in most blogs anyway, from pro-canon kids (sorry but to me they’re a product of canon pairings, of a shitty system and of an even shittier writing so I don’t like them and I’ll never will) to covert SS shippers (”I don’t like SS but I like SS fanarts and fanon s*kura but I’m still anti can’t u see?” kinda things) from pro-SAsuke fans who don’t get his personality at all (like topSasuke/sas*naru/sas*ita shippers or those who see him as arrogant and assertive, or those who often make jokes about his bad choices, because when did he ever? are we reading the same manga?) to puritan keyboard social justice warriors who attack anyone who dares like something they disapprove of (when Sasuke is a deeply tragic character who stirs strong and dark feelings in many characters, you can’t overlook this. It’s part of how interesting he is, so pure yet surrounded by the opposite).

We got some lovely entries for Day 1! Tomorrow is Day 2, and our theme for the day will be Written in the Stars!!

In a lot of ways this is a segue from today's theme about women in STEM, as Sloane's clear love for stars is very much rooted in science!! Astronomy and astrophysics are subjects she seems to take great interest in, and stargazing is one of the first few pastimes she and Hayden share together! She is in fact so knowledgeable in this field that she's actually qualified enough to be part of NASA if she chose!

But her interest in stars also lies in the stories people tell of them, and how different cultures look at the same constellations and see different things. She is also a storyteller (and while some of us are not the happiest that they had her be the author of AtV!) and her interest in the mythology made behind astronomical objects is so fascinating too!!

Tomorrow, we celebrate both the astronomy whiz and the storyteller in Sloane!
