HEY I live, again,

I had a big life update what with my sib graduating grad school (getting their masters degree) at the same time we both moved like 2 states over from our home state 😅

and unfortunately, i wasnt able to get my monster of a sequel out in time to post it remotely to get it out to you guys while i was afk

(as i havent had wifi/free time consistently in like 2-3 weeks)

which, phew, im finally able to be settled in one place enough to write again, and have enough time in the day to not be dealing wiht my apartment to write ToT

Some of the girls went to her table as soon the teacher left the class for a moment, introducing themselves, getting to know each other.

"Say, what did you eat to make you that tall?" A girl named Hana, leaning her back to her desk. Hana has long black hair that Y/n herself found it very beautiful. She pulled her hair back with a pink headband.

"Oh, I don't know. I played a lot of basketball with my brothers." Replied Y/n, fidgeting her fingers.

"The boys gonna have to look up to you whenever they talk to you," laughs Hana.

"Oh, don't be like that, Hana-chan." Momoko giggles, somehow Hana's comment and Momoko and others laugh made her self conscious.

She's aware that her height is far taller than other girls around her age, Her cousins that are girls, their height didn't even reach her ears. She even asks her mom if her height is normal for her age, and her mom answers that it's normal telling her that she was the same height as her when she was in her age.

"What should we call you?" Himari starts making her beaming at the question.

"I'll come with then!" Y/n declared, Hana shakes her head.

"No, no, no, you stay here. we won't be long anyway." Hana pulls Momoko's wrist, leading her to the restroom, sharing a laugh with the red head.

"Hey, I haven't seen the school playground, Should we play there?" Y/n turned to the girls with her hands behind hiding her nervousness, looking at each one for them, earning no reply until her attention instantly shifted to one of them holding their stomach.

"Oh my stomach, it's cramping!" one of them leaning their body forward a little while holding her stomach. "Im gonna need to use the toilet." She quickly ran past the h/c.

"Wait, Sae!" The other two girls suddenly ran past her too with one of them yelling from the door, "Just stay there, we won't be long! Then we can show you the playground." Before following Sae to the restroom, leaving her behind.

"Okay then, dont be long..." She whispered, sitting back down to her chair.

Kazehaya Shota was playing around with his friends, joking around as they walked to the playground after taking back their ball from the teacher. "Gosh, I missed it again." Shota picked up a familiar voice of his classmate and unconsciously eavesdropped on the conversation on the stairs.

"I'll give you my notes later." Momoko told Hana.

"Thanks."

"What subjects did you miss?"

"Math and English, this sucks my grades gonna drop if this continues."

"N/n-chan is still new, I'm sure it'll drop soon."

Y/n and Hana sit quite next to each other. He remembered that a while ago, Y/n looked around and tapped Hana shoulders.

"It better be, or my mom will kill me, don't anyone that I said this, but I think Y/n is a little annoying for a new girl." Hana and the girls walk in front of Kazehaya and his friends.

"She's just trying to adjust." One of her friends defends. A short girl, brunette named Rika. She nervously smiles at the tension between her friends.

"Still, I dont remember you like that when you moved here." Hana huffed, crossing her arms.

"Should we just leave her in class?"

"Just leave her be, I'm sure she'll be fine anyway with her tall self."

"What's wrong with you girls?" Shouta asked them from behind. He can't help but ask about what they're talking about.

"Oh, Kazehaya-kun! Hana-chan was just telling us that N/n-chan missed taking notes." Momoko answered.

"Oh, you mean that new tall girl in your class? She's so huge!" Laughs Yoshida Kei holding the basketball above his head.

"Yeah, like a giant!"

They laugh except Kazehaya, who feels guilty. The moment she walks in, she doesn't really stand up straight with her chin up. She looks down.

"I know what to do. Let's go back to the class!" The boys ran back upstairs, snickering.

"Where are you going?" Shouta question echoed through the quiet hall. The girls followed them, wondering what they were going to do.

"Come on, Kazehaya, it'll be fun!" he swallowed, trying to rid the lump in his throat. He had a bad feeling about them changing their plans from going to tricks with the basketball to going back to their class. He wanted to leave, but he's worried it's what he thinks it is.

They didn't wait for him, hurrying back to class with the hesitating Shouta catching up behind.

I don't think anyone else is going to transfer. Q seems pretty adamant on how much she loves this team and Ayanna transferring right after an injury also seems unlikely. Everybody else is pretty much locked in as you said.

It could probably be a bit of both? A little push from the coaching staff and their own desire for actual playing time. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a little bit of that but in the end, I think it's good for everyone involved.

Personally, I want two forwards, specifcally someone 6'5+. Timea Gardiner would be nice but I'm also curious to see who else ends up there (here's looking at you Kiki). But we really, really need frontcourt players. Jana hasn't played a season and achilles injuries are rough and putting that much pressure on her is just not a good idea. Same goes for Ayanna. We don't know when Aubrey will be back. And while I have immense faith in Sarah, again putting pressure on a freshmen is not the ideal scenario. So I really need us to get some experienced frontcourt players like we did with Dorka.

I think it's always a possibility but I don't think so. I think it's hard for Geno to guarantee her a starting position and I'm sure wherever she goes, that's one of her expectations. However, I'm actually not completely against us getting another guard. I do think we need to focus on forwards but honestly an experienced guard wouldn't hurt. Beyond Paige, our backcourt (whole team really) is missing a fair amount of experience. Azzi's likely to be on limited minutes to start and I'm not fully sure about Caroline either. Obviously KK and Ash have proven themselves but they're still just only sophomores. And obviously the freshmen are the freshmen. I don't think having a strong experienced guard would hurt but the focus should still be on getting a big, and I don't think Kaitlyn Chen is the right option.

garden updateee (long post lmao)

peach tree first:

have harvested upwards of 50 peaches from it. have invited the neighbors to freely take peaches (don't think they have tho). have given peaches to my brother. so many are getting partly eaten by critters (i don't mind this)

probably have an additional 30-40 in the worm bin (partly eaten ones, gloopy ones, ones that were seriously damaged early on, etc)

ended up with two gallon bags full - and i mean full - of frozen peach slices and a good bit of peach sauce (well, i call it that, but it's really just cooked down/pureed peaches and a bit of sugar. it's good!)

could i have been more productive with it? yeah! however! wasn't expecting this at all! i cannot stress enough how much of a surprise this has been

after all the peaches have been harvested im gonna trim this poor tree down so hard. bc at present it isn't just bowing a bit under the weight, the main trunk goes up and up... and then starts coming sharply back down. roughly like so:

except with a lot more branches and all but yeah not actually drawing this lmao.

gonna try to espalier it a bit. there are lower branches that i'm going to be keeping and hopefully i can get some wire or something to give it some support, bc clearly during growing and harvest seasons it's gonna need that support. but i'm taking the height off... again, lmao. i've already done this!!!! it is growing so much

however, i think i know why. about midway through last year, we moved the worm bin over near it. and the worm bin has holes drilled in the bottom. so all those nutrients have been sinking into the soil and i think the peach tree was just like oh? nutrience? for me??? and went apeshit lmao

other garden news:

although i've mostly been talking about the peach tree, many things are going above and beyond. the rose bush out front is covered with rose hips that are probably about as wide as a half dollar? and it's grown to about halfway up the second floor. ridiculous. some of the canes are easily as wide as a quarter

we also have a grape. idk what type bc like the smartest person imaginable, i lost the tag. also i don't think it's ever gonna fruit but that is okay bc it is a sprawling beast and beautiful and it is sending vines up that are on the first floor roof

a lot of plants i have mostly to control temperatures indoors. so the rose bush covers the front of the house and some of the dark roof shingles, while the mystery tree and grape cover another part of the house. i was letting the peach tree get a bit taller to become a shade tree since it wasn't seeming to bear (but still not ridiculously tall!) but uh. A Mistake 😂

currently in the process of getting one of the many many manyyyy marionberry canes to root so that i can plant some in the backyard. it's very well established along the side yard and we get a ton of fruit from it, so why not just keep it going?

and we have a nectarine tree out back that's in its.... hmm. second or third year, but i think second. it's older than that, but in terms of being in our garden. so it's not bearing yet, no real surprise, and it's having some of the same issues the peach tree originally had, but the peach tree is no longer afflicted so i suspect the nectarine will end up okay as well

gonna be repositioning the metal gazebo frame (canvas top long since destroyed) into the center of the yard so that we can safely hang a new tarp from it and provide some central shade. looking forward to that, altho it'll be a lot of work. been using the water i saved up all during the rainy season and so far i still have a lot, which is nice - been doing a lot of water-wise planting and letting things get their own water and all. i've managed to keep the bucket pond going even tho the plastic is starting to crack and i'm dreading the eventual day the whole thing goes... sm life in there

but it's cracking bc the winters are getting so cold that the water freezes several inches down and expands, so it's like... rly tricky to deal with? debating about getting a solar powered water bubbler for it. just smth to keep the water moving a little bit and hopefully prevent it from freezing sm

i have mulched a tremendous amount this year, as i usually do. countless cardboard boxes - only plain ones, or ones with dyed parts removed, and always removing all the tape. forever trying to reuse stuff. there are still problem areas in the back and front yards, but some can't really be dealt with - like we have a lot of stray cats in the area and they sure do like to use yards as litter boxes 🙃like they're just gonna be here, it's a thing, but it does mean taking that into consideration wrt what/how we grow things

i keep getting frustrated and sad with how many things are dying out there but like. yeah. it's gonna happen. a) transplant shock is a thing, no matter how careful i try to be, b) it's hard to tell how heavily i should water things tbph, c) our soil is different all over the place, and the soil out front is very poor - which some things prefer! but definitely not all, and d) climate change. even hardy natives aren't necessarily hardy anymore, and over time native ranges seem to be shifting, so it's difficult

but i'm trying to not focus sm on what's dying and more on what's thriving, bc a bunch of stuff is :')

ooh okay. it's definitely gotten a bit smaller as i've gotten older, but it'd be nice to have more room than i've got now. not to go toooo wild but i'd love a 3 bed 2 bath single level house with a garage/shed and a porch?? with enough room for both me + my partner to have nice pc setups. also barely related but... i want a nice desk so bad 😭 my dad had one that's sitting unused in my mom's house and i dont have room for it at my apartment but it's so nice and sturdy and i journal a ton and would fucking LOVE to have an actually nice space to do it

when i was a teenager, most thursdays i would go to a roller skating rink with a few friends. we'd skate for hours and pester the dj to play marina and the diamonds songs. then afterwards we'd go to the huge 24-hour grocery store across the street and buy ice cream and/or doughnuts and we'd sit in the car eating and talking for hours.

i dont watch it regularly anymore, but Running Man. regardless of what bad things are going on, i know i can turn on an old ep and be happy for 1.3 hours. it's gotten me through so much school stress, family issues, and general mental unwellness, it'll always have a place in my heart.

hmmmmmm i have this brain problem where sometimes i get pedantic about the meaning of words so right now i am like, "important" ?? what is it,,,, for somethign to be "important" .... anyways i think journaling is something that probably fits the bill? it's something i enjoy doing and i really like having a written record of things to look back on, and being able to see how i felt about things in the moment they were happening. i also journal about video games a lot and it's so fun to look back at the times Before big twists and reveals... ah my innocence...

Happy Monday, pals!

We had such a good weekend. The weather was amazing on Saturday and we spent all day outside. Those are my favorite kinds of days! We had some friends over Saturday afternoon to grill out and let the kids run wild and it was just a really great day! Then it rained all night and the weather was shit yesterday 😂 so I'm glad we took advantage of the nice weather while it was here.

Yesterday Knox was supposed to start Tball but the fields were too wet so they canceled it. I was bummed! He had been talking about it all week. We took him to the trampoline park instead and then got ice cream and he had a blast with that. Then we got pizza for dinner and watched a movie as a family. He slept pretty well last night, just one wake up, so I'm feeling refreshed today and ready to tackle the week!

It's a 4 day work week for me 💃🏻 Cole and I are going out of town this weekend for a concert. Im really looking forward to the one on one time. The weather is looking faaaab where we are going so I'm really stoked for that. And then hopefully Knox will actually start Tball this Sunday!

My Papa turns 90 in September so my family planned a big party for him....in Houston. We booked our flights yesterday so husband is officially going on a plane for the first time in his life! I'm a super nervous traveler as is so this will be interesting 😂 luckily we are flying with my parents so they can help with Knox and it'll just make me feel better traveling with people who do it a lot and know how to navigate the airports, etc.

Fmn has taken over my brain! I have a question, will Luke hook up with anyone before he gets with Aemond? I'm curious bc they're not really a thing yet but Luke gives the vibes that he likes sex for the emotional intimacy part more. Also poor rhaenyra too. God that first episode of GWitch Season 2... Hell, even the OPENING is shredding my heart to pieces. Nothing is the same anymore for the students at the academy and it feels like Earth House is starting to fray at the edges. Guel is still AWOL, Nadim is at his wits end being thrown into the deep waters with all those sharks called CEOs, and Suletta is desperately hoping she hasn't irreversibly damaged her relationship with Miorine while trying to remain strong for her friends... Above all Im kinda relieved and sorta surprised we went back to the school setting after that. Im relieved because I expected it to go full gundam and start with the carnage right away, but also Im pleasantly surprised because of what the previous events do for the tension in the current setting. These kids just saw war, they were attacked with the intention to kill, and they are forced to go through with their lives like nothing happened and aren't even allowed to talk about it. And the one person who would, who should understand, Suletta, acts like everything is fine and nothing bad ever happened.

How would the earth house kids react to knowing that the people who attacked them are among them, actual fucking earthians too?????? AAÁAAÁAAA

today has been kind of slow tbh. not in a bad way though. i got to catch up a bit more with charlie and eric. i made plans or well, i guess i'll get to that bit later. since i wasn't going to dinner at charlie's i went shopping with them for the shit she'd need. honestly she's who encouraged me to come down in the first place and ive had a really good week plus in los angeles. better than usual actually. it's honestly not my favorite place in general, but i don't really feel like i have any complaints. i got my ass handed to me by ai again, but i guess that's just how shit goes. at least im not alone bc she did too.

the reason i can't go to dinner is bc i have other dinner plans. last night i went to see valeria at work again. it was kind of funny bc i offered to bring her some candy (sour patch watermelons) she was talking about doordashing and she kept insisting that she needed to pay for it and give me the tip she had planned on giving them. which turned into offering to pay for my drinks and me saying id just give her that money and more in tips. i guess she really has strict feelings about owing other people or something. regardless, even though i said i didn't think she owed me anything, we settled on dinner tonight as a compromise. i'm looking forward to it.

but anyway, uh it was fun. i did some karaoke. *nsync at her request and then doing bastille's laura palmer brought us around to talking about twin peaks, which she had never seen. and truly isn't even optimistic about enjoying, bc apparently she hasn't enjoyed much david lynch. she was gonna give it a try though, so even if it's pure complaints it'll be interesting to get her take. i dunno what it is, i do find most of valeria's views interesting, but even in general i just like hearing what people think about shit. like barring some offensive shit, even if i completely disagree and want to debate what they're getting out of it, it still keeps me completely occupied hearing another person's take on it.

yeah so that's how i had dinner plans for today. otherwise, i spoke a bit with blair again about lotr bc i was watching a minimal amount of rings of power just to do it. if i start it, i'll be more likely to continue and feel caught up for the new season. freya has been pretty busy so i haven't talked to her as much as i had the week prior. and im trying to make some direct plans with sabrina so i don't miss her before she's crazy busy. as much as i have a tour starting next weekend it's just for a little bit and hers is a whole ass thing. so hopefully i'll see her at the event and hang out a bit. i plan on coming to see her on tour too, but i know how that goes. it's all chaotic for me and i don't have nearly as much shit going when im on tour. i really doubt i understand the chaos of that level pop tour.

other than what's going on this week, and packing and cleaning up my place a bit, i think i'm ready for tour. ready to be pulled out of everything for a little bit and just immersed in work. especially in japan. i know i'll have a good time and i can kind of just enjoy everything around me and revisit places i love. i don't know there's an awful lot of love that i get out of visiting there. i'm positive it'll make me feel good regardless.

i watched something this week, i forget what, where one of the characters pretended to be an eels fan and it's just had them on the brain. also, i mentioned liking myself less when i was numb and it came together. and it's true. eric is keeping an eye on things too which is nice. probably not necessary, but i probably would've said that even when it was. so i'll accept the help and attention there.

I just read overse ch 7 and it lived up to all the expectations I had and more! love love love the reveal of jos being the england omega, and not joe, nice bit of work there. i thought it would be joey for sure haha 😂 but i can totally see omega! jos and beta! joe. i love that ben and eoin were introduced, and stu finally managed to find a place for himself in alis friend squad. one thing im particularly excited to see is stu and jimmy eventually growing closer, i have a feeling you'll do that very well 🥰 i also liked jos wanting to out himself to protect joe, that was so in character and stu stopping him which leads to jos getting latched on him a bit! love the stu-jos feels!

and then the last bit, my god! i knew kp would be up to something, but i didn't suspect that he'd get to know about Stu's secret so soon! might be alone in saying this, but i need stu to suffer more now 🤭 it's pulling at my heartstrings in just the right way, and you have such a great handle on writing angst! can't wait to see what more you put stu through xD he better go into a heat on field at some point and the headcanons about him being the omega who was sent to the aussie dressing room after the 2013-14 ashes mauling are quite worrying, but ive warmed up to them!

Ahaha, yes - I've very much enjoyed people assuming Joe was the omega. If you go back through the asks I've been given on such topics you'll see I never actually said it was Joe, that was all you guys :P So glad I managed to make that a surprise reveal still! Slowly they're all coming into Stuart's story, and these will be their launch points for their own stories when I write them afterwards. I love seeing how they all intertwine with each other, and we've got a few fun moments of crossover still to come in this one! Of course Jos would jump to take Joe's place, even if he knew it would be worse for him. He just can't let someone get hurt protecting him T.T I'm looking forward to Jimmy and Stu getting closer too - I think it'll come in a way no one is really expecting.

More shit's been going down at work.

Since November there's been so much drama with this one other associate. No one else, just him! He was veery mad he wasn't promoted to manager over my other coworker.

The thing is, this isn't even his main job. He works full time at another store in the area. He also doesnt really put in a lot of effort to keep the store maintained or the operations consistently taken care of. He also calls in a lot because he works himself until he is sick (he in fsct has a third job at a soap store). And when he does, he does it like 30 min to an hour before his shift stsrts and he doesnt even call. He just puts a text in the group chat. He also has some serious anger issues and attitude. Our DM does NOT lile him, since he made a very crass joke to him.

And he'd very... passive aggressive about me behind my back. I'm the oldest one, by age, working at the store by about 6/7 years and i have previous managerial experience. I know how to divide up tasks between people so the work isnt just on one person. The others are not the best at that. Our current manager, for however competent she is, has not had the experience in delegating like I have. But she's learning quickly. I digress. Because of me the store is in much, much better shape. I've taken it upon myself, with the manager's approval, to divide up tasks and make to do lists. I make very reasonable ones for the two other associates, including the guy i'm talking about.

He has actively fought against it. Like, i get it. I'm the "new" person who is giving you a to do list. That isnt, technically, "fair." But it was made clear to me that if i didnt, nothing was going to get done by him or the other one and everything would on the shoulders of me and the manager. I do an insane amount of work, quickly. I'm serious about moving up in this company.

But this dude. He so desperately wants to be a manager but he wont do anything and actively fights against doing anything. What does he expect, to be handed the position on a silver platter? He wants this job to be his fulltime job and he thinks he needs to step up and do the work only if he gets promoted.

Its been slowly pissing me off (i have a lot of patience). And its gotten to a point where our manager is just done with him. Because of his behavior, hostility, lack of work ethic, and constant absences (he actually had a no call no show today, so the store opened late!), the dm wants him fired. Our manager is trying to have a bit more patience, but today was her bresking point. She's going to try corrective action but im pretty certain he'll end up fired soon.

Manager is actually scheduling him less and giving me more hours since i have the availability and i don't call in - im a more stable choice to schedule. And because of his hostility towards me, she is scheduling me as little as possible with him.

I've done everything i can to encourage a positive and nice work environment. I'm nice and genial to him, i am patient, i encourage and listen to him. But he doesnt like me because i do my job well and i dont excuse his lack of work ethic. I hate drama and i do everything i can to nip it in the bud, but some people are just so damned intent on being the drama.

The other associate is planning to quit soon, since she recently started another job that pays more. We're cool with that, she's a sweet kid. So we're going to be training a new person soon. And if this guy i'm complaining about gets fired, then we'll have two people to train. On one hand, i know it'll be tough. On the other, i'm kinda looking forward to it, cause we need to just be done with this hostile guy i've been working with. He's draining and it's been putting a damper on doing my job.

I've been having to do more work than i ought to, to accommodate his laziness. There is already too much on our manager's shoulders, cause corporate is stupid. But i've become more paranoid about hostile dude's behavior towards me, and i'm going by the book 100% and keeping every little record of everything to cover my ass. I feel like he is going to do something to put my job in jeopardy. I've dealt with that before and its miserable. So i'm making sure he can't say shit about me or my work.

I'm just tired of thid bullshit. And as much sympathy as i've had for this dude, I've reached my limit. I honestly hope he quits before he gets fired. It'll at least look better for him.
