Red Bull Family
Synopsis: Y/n L/n joins Red Bull Racing in 2022, and after some warming up, becomes Max Verstappen’s best friend. These are seven moments over the years when the energetic young adult breaks down “Mad Max”
young female driver reader x platonic max verstappen
so, I saw a rumor one time about how Max might want to leave f1 after his contract ends in 2028, so I thought it’d be fun to write a story about a teammate friendship and how it feels when one person retires. for this one, reader is 19 and max is 24 when she joins red bull in 2022
(y’all this fic took over a week to write and is almost 10k words 💀 idek if it’s good or not but i am not leaving this is my drafts)
2022- “Welcome”
You didn’t know why you were this nervous. It was just a team. They were just your coworkers. He was just your teammate. Today was your first day at Red Bull Racing. In the middle of the 2021 season, Christian Horner approached you with an offer to leave Alpha Tauri and join the Red Bull Team alongside Max Verstappen for 2022. You didn’t know what to expect from your new team, much less the infamous “Mad Max”. You knew that he could be kind and funny, but you also knew he could be cold and brutally straight forward.
With as much confidence as you could gather, you walked out of your car and towards the Red Bull Headquarters. The only person you knew was the team principal and that was only because of contract meetings and phone calls. It was your only chance at a first impression, and you were determined to make a good one.
The first person you saw when you walked inside was Christian, though he was surrounded by a few other people. “Y/n! Welcome! It’s nice to finally see in here in headquarters” Christian said, offering a smile and a handshake. You offered your own hand as he introduced you to the people around you.
“This is May Dawson your ‘minder’ or personal assistant, of sorts.” A woman that looked around your age stepped forward and shook your hand.
“Pierre Wache, our technical director” A middle-aged man stepped forward. “And our director of engineering, Paul Monaghan” The last man present shook your hand.
“So, first, we’re going to introduce you to everyone in the factory, just to give you a chance to meet everyone, then, there’s a meeting with the five of us, it’s not going to take very long, it’s just to further introduce you to Red Bull, alright?” Christian puts a hand on your shoulder and leads you through the factory. You just nod and smile as you look around the factory.
Your team principle gives you a mini tour of the place while you walk to the main garage, where your co-workers wait for you. You smile as you enter the room and applauds fill the space.
You greet as many people as you can as the five of you walk down the stairs. “Okay, okay. Thank you everyone for being here to introduce our newest driver, Y/n L/n!” Everyone starts clapping again, and you notice your teammate across the room.
As Christian continues talking, you make your way towards him. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you, I’m-” He cuts you off. “Y/n L/n, I know, he just said that” Max chuckles at you.
“It’s nice to meet you too, I’m Max” He takes your outstretched hand. You take notice of Christian’s lasting speech.
“So, how long do these ‘introductions’ usually last? I mean, you know, right? I’m your third teammate in three years” You both laugh.
“Yeah, you are. Don’t worry, it’ll be over soon. But then you have your introduction meeting, that lasts at least an hour and a half, and then I think you’d have some media stuff afterwards. So, you’re not leaving for a couple hours” Both of you laugh again as your team principle’s speech finishes.
“I’ll see you soon, good luck” Max smirks at you. “Thanks, see you soon” You smile back at him as May approaches to take you to the meeting.
Your teammate turns out to be right, and you don’t end up leaving the factory until after sundown. Your first day consists of a lot of handshakes, a photo shoot in your new attire, and a thorough tour of Red Bull headquarters.
You're due back tomorrow for some more introductory stuff and a meeting with your PR team. The first race of the 2022 season isn’t until a month and a half, but there is a lot of prep work.
There were no knots in your stomachs as you thought of your upcoming weeks at Red Bull or with Max. You didn’t really know what to expect, but you were excited, nonetheless.
2023- “The Dream Team”
It’s been over two years since you’ve been recruited to Red Bull, and you couldn’t have asked for a better two seasons with the team. In both 2022 and 2023, the lowest result you’ve got was P9. You and Max have completely dominated both race seasons, with a Red Bull driver always on the podium. Christian Horner was extremely pleased with his driver’s performances and the rest of the racing world came to love watching you race.
The fandom also loved seeing you and Max together. Your first days at the factory started the friendship and partnership that so successful today. The team behind Red Bull’s YouTube channel had you film a ‘Two Truths and a Lie” video as your first appearance together and the two of you have been attached at the hip since. You’re the first person to congratulate each other after a race and are known for speaking very fondly of the other when given the opportunity.
Max sees a lot of himself in you and ever since the first time he saw you in the Red Bull car on the track, he knew you were going to be something special. You were right about him being kind; the Dutch man has acted like your mentor during your first year at Red Bull, offering advice and never faltering in his belief in your success. He made you laugh a lot too, especially when Daniel Ricciardo was by his side.
Daniel joined you two in most media duties for the team, and it usually takes forever to get anything done due to the constant talking and laughing that goes on between you three. You met the Australian later in your first week at Red Bull and in true Daniel Ricciardo fashion, he made you feel comfortable immediately and the two of you became fast friends.
Seeing as Formula 1 was nearing the end of the 2023 Season, Red Bull decides to bring back a popular class, On the Sofa with Max Verstappen, Y/n L/n, and Daniel Ricciardo. You teased it with a photo of the couch on your Instagram and the fans went crazy. It was a bit sad knowing it was the end of the season, but you were mostly excited, both to go home and to do an iconic video with Max and Daniel.
“Hello everyone, I’m Daniel Riccardo”
“I’m Max Verstappen”
“I’m Y/n L/n”
“And this is, for the first time in a while actually, On the Sofa, with Max, Daniel, and Y/n” The older man introduced you three. “If you don’t remember, it’s fine because neither do I” The three of you smiled. “We are going to be reflecting on some on-track and off-track moments from this racing season. I’ve got the questions, they might have the answers, let’s get started”
Daniel turned to you. “Y/n, you decided to copy me and win in Monaco, your first win in 2023, also. What was going through your head throughout the race, when you crossed the finish line, and during your dive into the pool?”
You smiled at the memory of your first win. “Well, a lot of the race was me trying not to get too excited and mess up. I qualified P2, right behind Max, and because there isn’t a lot of opportunities to overtake in Monaco, I was pretty comfortable finishing there, but then I overtook him towards the end of the race and spent the rest of it trying not to freak out. I was really relieved when I crossed the finish line, and the dive into the pool didn’t even feel like an option. Jumping into the pool is something iconic for all drivers who win there, how I am not going to do it?” You spoke honestly.
“I’m surprised you didn’t copy my belly flop too” Daniel said, making you laugh. He turned to your teammate. “Max, she beat you. How did that feel?”
“Oh, it felt great, you know. I love being overtaken by my teammate. It’s a great feeling really” Max replied sarcastically. “No, but actually, I mean, obviously I wasn’t happy about not winning but it was nice to see you win, I was proud, if I’m not gonna win, I’d want it to be you” He turned to you and a smile came on your face. Daniel let out a small smile before interrupting. ‘Alright enough of the sappy, ‘I love you’ bullshit” He picked up another card.
“Max, what was your favorite win this season?”
“I think the Austrian Grand Prix. With it being at the Red Bull Ring and having a lot of Dutch fans there, it made the race pretty special” That was a good day for Red Bull, a 1-2 from you and Max and a lot of support from the fans. You remembered the cheers from the arena and the celebrations that seemed endless.
“Yeah, you liked flexing on everyone else, didn’t you” Daniel joked and the three of you laughed. “Someone ask me a question now” Neither you or Max were given cards, but you were happy to improvise.
“Daniel, what was the best part of filming your show, ‘Grandstand' with Will Arnett?” You asked. “I think just getting chance to commentate and watch the race with someone. I mean, I’m usually watching the race from the garage or the pit wall, but it was fun to just talk and kinda goof around while the race went on instead of just watching” The Australian replies.
“Y/n, what was your favorite off-track moment from 2023?”
You immediately grin. “Definitely the paint video. By far, that was so much fun.” At the Belgian Grand Prix, the Red Bull media team had you, Daniel, and Max, do a painting challenge. Daniel and Max had to give you instructions to create a portrait of the three of you, while you were blindfolded. You were laughing the entire time, and it escalated to a paint fight once they insulted your finished portrait. The team was mad at you and Max for ruining your clothes and causing a delay for you three of clean up, but it was worth it.
“Oh, the paint video was so much fun”
“I still have some of that purple paint on my hat, I think” You splattered paint on one of Max’s beloved hats, claiming that he should add a purple one to his collection. The three of you laughed and Daniel picked up another card. “This one is for both of you. What is the best part of having the other as a teammate?” You looked at each other before you responded.
“Well, first off, Max is more than my teammate, I think that’s the best part of it” You chuckled before continuing. “I mean, you’re my mentor, you’re my friend, you’re my supporter. You’ve made my first year of Red Bull easier and a lot less scary than I thought it would be, and not a lot of drivers have all those things in a teammate”
You finished, not wanting to ramble on about how grateful you were for your friend and looked at Max, who was smiling at you. “Wow, Max, how are you gonna top that?”
Max chuckled at that before answering. “Y/n is all those things for me as much as I am for her. When I’m unhappy with my performance, she is there for me. Without even realizing it, you teach me things that I probably would not have learned with anyone else as my teammate” He speaks to you now.
“Aw, what a love fest. You guys should hug it out” Daniel comments. “You have to join the hug, too, Daniel” you say before moving closer to the two of them. The Australian wraps his arms around the younger drivers in a hug, swaying slightly, before completely pushing you and Max off the couch.
“No love here. Only violence and pain” You and Max laugh from your places on the ground. “That’s it for today, hope you had a fun 2023 season, don’t do drugs, and we’ll see you next year” Daniel said before walking out of frame. You and Max both waved to the camera. “Bye everyone, we’ll see you next season!”
2024- “More than you think”
It was Round 7 of the 2024 Race Season and for once, Monaco couldn’t have been uglier. It was pouring rain and the wind could be heard over the twenty car engines. You’ve driven in a lot of wet races since you joined Formula 1 in the beginning of 2021 but never in one as bad as this one.
You and Max were talking about the conditions in your driver's room and how even though you both thrived in the rain, this was too intense for comfort.
“I mean, I know the FIA is brain dead in most situations, but, jeez, you’d have to be blind to make us race” You complained to your teammate seated beside you on your couch.
“I know, and in Monaco too” Max trailed off, hoping there wouldn’t be any crashes today. Soon enough you two had to separate to prepare for the race, but not before promising to see each other off before you got into your respective cars.
An hour passes and the rain doesn’t let up. Your race engineer informs you that if anything, it’s somehow supposed to get worse. Frowning, you make your way to Max’s side of the garage to wish him luck. “Hey, be careful today, okay? Good luck” You tapped him on the shoulder and put your hand on his shoulder.
“And you the same, yeah? Good luck” He pulled you into a hug before putting on his balaclava and helmet.
Both Red Bulls start their formation laps, trying to see through the rain and avoid the other cars on track. Your heart beats faster as you approach your place of P3 on the grid and the five red lights come on.
“And it’s lights out and away we go in Monaco!” The voice of Martin Brundle becomes audible. You manage to pull away, but the tight corners of Monte Carlo don’t allow you to gain a lead. You struggle through the mist of the two cars in front of you for the first 11 laps of the race but manage as best you can, until you get to the straight after Turn 8.
You didn’t see Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari in front of you. The spray from the rain kept you from knowing that he slowed down, until your front wing hit the back of his car. The collision caused your car to turn almost 180 degrees around, making the car behind you, Fernando Alonso, ram into the side of your car. The impact made you spin off track and into the barriers for a harsh stop.
“Big collision on the straight before Turn 9! I think that’s Y/n L/n’s Red Bull! She was hit by Fernando Alonso, I think, after Charles Leclerc braked.” Martin commentates as he looks onto the track. ‘That looked very bad, might be- yep, red flag until we know if L/n’s okay. Her car has stopped but she hasn’t moved yet”
You were completely disoriented in your car, your dizzy head making it hard to comprehend what had happened. Once you realized you had crashed into the barrier, you noticed the intense pain coming from your left leg and left side of your rib cage, the side that Fernando hit.
You tried to get out of your car, but your leg made it nearly impossible, you would have to wait until the safety marshals arrived.
Max was in P1 so he didn’t see your crash in person, but he saw glimpses of it through his rearview mirror. “That was Y/n? Is she okay?” The Dutch asks his race engineer, GP. “Yeah, that was Y/n. No information on her yet. Just slow down and get back to the pitlane” The man responds. “Is she out of her car?” Max radios again. GP didn’t want to worry Max, knowing how close you two are, but he knows he has to tell Max.
“She hasn’t, Max, Y/n is still in her car, that’s all we know. Just focus on getting back to the pits safely” Max ignores GP again.
“What has she said?” Gianpiero hesitates for a moment before responding.
“Nothing, Max. There hasn’t been any communication from Y/n yet.” At that, Max mutters “Fuck it” before pulling his car over after Turn 11 and shutting off the engine.
“Max, no, come back to the-”
The driver cuts his race engineer off. “No, I’m going to see if she is okay. Don’t try to stop me”
Max was thinking back to your conversation before the race and became filled with worry. He knew he should’ve pushed Christian to get the FIA to cancel the race; he knew it was too dangerous. Now you’ve crashed and are unresponsive in your car.
Max runs through the rain to get to your car to see you struggling to get out. “Y/n! Are you okay?” He shouts loudly as he gets closer.
“Not really. My left leg got hit, and I think I hurt my ribs” You wince as you shout from your cockpit.
“I’m going to help you get out, let me know if it hurts too much” Max stands over you and grabs your hands to pull you up. You crouch on your one good leg and let him help you stand you up in your seat, one arm across your ribs. “Good?”
“Yeah, I just don’t know how I’m going to get out from here”
“Let me carry you, keep your bad leg out” Max comes to the side of your car, and you make out his outstretched arms through the wind and rain. He puts one of your arms around his neck and grabs your good leg, carrying you bridal style.
He puts you down a few feet away from your car but makes sure your arm is still around his neck so he can help you walk. “Look, the marshals are coming. I’m going to leave you with them and come see you after the race, okay?” Your teammate says as the safety car pulls over next to you and Max.
“Okay, thank you Max, you know you didn’t have to”
“I know, I just wanted to make sure you were okay.” He says honestly.
“Good luck” You called out as two medics came out of the car and wrapped your arms around their shoulders. They took you to the medical center where you were diagnosed with a fractured knee and a few fractured ribs. You spent the rest of the race in the hospital so doctors could put a cast around your leg, while May sat beside you and updated you about the ongoing event. She got there a little after you did so she could gather all your stuff from the garage, and you could go back to your hotel once you get discharged.
A knock on the door interrupts your conversation with her. “Hey” Max’s head becomes visible as the door opens. “Hey Max, congrats on P1. I’ll check you out, Y/n, I’ll come back in a few minutes” May nods and leaves you and Max alone.
“Hey Max, you did great out there” You smile at your teammate from your place on the hospital bed.
“Thanks, I was happy Charles and Carlos got to the podium with me, but I wish you could’ve been there”
“Me too, but..” You trail off, gesturing to your leg and torso.
“So, I talked to Charles and Fernando, they plan on visiting you at your hotel tomorrow, they were worried about you, especially Charles” The Dutch man tells you.
“Yeah, I figured, I’ll talk to them tomorrow” It is silent for a minute, until Max suddenly blurts out. “Are you okay? I mean, I know you aren’t okay, but, how long until you are?”
It wasn’t until now you noticed that Max’s blue eyes are filled with worry. “The doctor said it would be at least a month until I can race again, and I’m going to be in the cast for a couple weeks” Your teammate frowned.
“I’m sorry, Y/n” You shrugged. “It’s not your fault”
“I know, but I wish I could help”
“Don’t worry about it, Max. I’ll be back soon, it’s only a month”
“I know”
Who you can only guess to be May knocks on the door. “I’ll see you, later, Y/n, get better soon” He grabs your hand before leaving the room. As you ride back to your hotel, you look at social media to make a statement about your current state.
Max has surprised you about a lot of things today, and by the looks of the comments under the videos about your crash, the fans are too. You’ve never been in a serious crash to the point where you need to go to the hospital before, but you expected Max to just text you after his race and ask about it the next time you see him.
The fans are going crazy, mostly the ones that ship you two together, but generally they’re just happy you seemed okay. You would comfortably say that Max is your best friend, but still, he’s not the type to stop his own race to check on you. It may have taken you two years, but you finally realize that “Mad Max” isn’t mad at all.
2025- “By my side”
It was the beginning of the 2025 racing season, you were in your fourth year at Red Bull with Max and by this point, you knew each other better than you knew yourselves. There is no point in having separate driver’s rooms because you are always in his, your press officers have given up on trying to get the two of you to behave and just let you follow each other around the media pen, and your Red Bull co-workers are smart enough to not let you two alone in a room together, especially not after you two had found the old Crazy Carts and pulled a “Daniel” by putting a hole in the wall. Christian feels like he has two more kids, and let’s Geri take care of you however she wants. Your families are close too, always sitting together nervously in the viewing room. Kelly is basically your older sister and Penelope loves you like an aunt, so your excitement about their engagement is understandable.
Max proposed at the end of Abu Dhabi in 2024 and if Charles’ arm wasn’t around you, keeping you grounded, you would’ve been jumping up and down and screaming. You almost tackled her in the hug, the smile on both of your faces blinding. Penelope grabbed your hands and made you start dancing to the music blasting from the speakers with her, while the arene was booming with cheers. You geeked out the same way once the invitation was sent to you and let Kelly gush about the wedding all she wanted once you got your nails done together.
You and Kelly’s friendship started when complimented her jacket when you met her in the 2022 Monaco Race. She gave you the name of the place, but when you joked about not knowing French and having no idea how to get around the city, she offered to take you there herself if you were still around Monday afternoon. You went and had a really good time with the model, talking mostly about how different you two are and making fun of Max. At the next race she attended that year, you two went out for coffee Friday afternoon, and it quickly became a tradition after you went out together a couple more times.
You met Penelope soon after that and fell absolutely in love with her. You thought she was adorable and was so glad she seemed fond of you too, probably because of the candy you give her every time you meet. Your friendship continued to get stronger, leading to now, talking about your role in her wedding.
The event was not going to be small in any way, and Kelly really wanted someone she could trust to keep an eye on her daughter and keep her out of trouble when she couldn’t. Her best friends and family already had their own parts to play, and knowing how much you adored the young girl, she chose you.
The wedding was held at a beautiful venue in Monaco, and it couldn’t have gone better. You weren’t the only driver there, Daniel, Lando, and Charles were present and accompanying you. When you weren’t keeping Penelope occupied, you were with them, talking about Max and Kelly and dancing.
You smiled fondly as the couple when they stood at the altar and would be lying if your eyes were completely dry as you watched them take their first dance. The four of you took photos with the married couple, and you even have some of just you and Max and you and Kelly. Everyone had a great time; love was an amazing part of life, and you were happy to watch your best friend experience it.
Unfortunately, loss was also a part of life. And it nearly killed Max to watch you go through it.
Days before Round 10 of 2025, you got a call saying one of your closest friends, Luis, had been killed in a car crash.
Luis was a part of the friend group you had back home, and you had known him for years at that point. He was hilarious and caring, always making sure you knew he supported you no matter what. A member of the same friend group called you in tears, and it took everything in you not to break down as well.
It was Thursday, meaning you had media duties for hours. You almost left your driver's room to get May and ask her to cancel your responsibilities, but then you remembered that were supposed to meet your PR officer outside the garage in less than five minutes so she could escort you to the media pen. You talked to your friend as long as you could, promising to call back as soon as you finished, and hung up the phone to leave. You blinked back your tears as you met your officer and didn’t even bother putting on a smile as you passed your co-workers.
You met up with Max as you walked. “Hi- what’s wrong?” He immediately notices the frown on your face. “I’ll tell you after” You’d start crying if you talked about it now. You answer questions for what feels like an eternity, probably sounding like a robot, giving generic answers.
You were grateful when you were excused from a press conference and made a bee line for your driver’s room. You locked the door behind you as you grabbed your phone and called your friend back. She broke into tears as she told you the details of what happened, and you couldn’t help but join her. You sat on the floor, back against the couch as both of you cried over your friend. Sobs escaped your body faster than you could stop them and you prayed no one heard you.
You were proven wrong when you heard a knock against the door, and the voice of your teammate called out. “Y/n? Are you okay?” Max pauses, waiting for a response. “Let me in, Y/n, please”
You turned back to your phone. “I’m sorry, Max is at my door, I’ll call you back and we’ll talk” You told her this exact this thing hours ago and was frustrated you can’t spend more than a few minutes alone.
Wiping the tears off your cheeks, you unlocked the door. “Y/n, I heard you crying, what’s wrong?” Max put his hands on your shoulders. “I- I just found out my friend from home, Luis, died-” That’s all you manage before you have to cover your mouth to stop a cry from leaving.
“Oh, Y/n” Your best friend pulls you into a hug, holding your head against his shoulder. “I’m sorry” He repeats, rubbing your back. He brings you to sit down on the couch, an arm around your shoulder and a hand to wipe the tears falling from your cheeks. You sit with Max until you calm down a bit and are ready to talk.
“Luis, he was one you told me comes to the grand prix’s in your country, right?” You nod.
“My friend told me he was in a car crash this morning, on his way to work. I don’t know, Max, just, the fact that he died doing what I do for a living is just...” You trailed off, trying not to cry again.
“I’m sorry, Y/n, it’s not fair. Here, let’s go back to the hotel, you can just relax for the rest of the day”
“Yeah, yeah, we should go. Also, about tonight, can you tell everyone I’m feeling sick or something?”
You and Max were supposed to meet a few other drivers for dinner later, but that was the last thing you wanted to do. “Yeah of course. I’m going to get my stuff from my room and then we’ll leave, yeah?” He leaves and you pack up all your stuff before Max meets you in the hallway.
The trip back to your hotel was silent and Max leaves you with a hug before going to his own room. You were finally able to connect with your friends back home and talk about when you’d be able to see them next after you traveled home Sunday afternoon. You spent the rest of the day in your room, thinking and listening to music when you didn’t want to think anymore.
You didn’t feel any better the next morning, and just hoped to get through Free Practice 1 and 2 quickly. You didn’t smile as you walked through the paddock, keeping your sunglasses on and taking the quickest way to the Red Bull garage. You have headphones in as well, so everyone gets the message that you’re not up for conversation.
FP1 and FP2 go by quickly and as always, the Red Bull does well, and you come right behind Max in P2 both practices. You leave the same way you came in, walking quickly to avoid the press. Your fellow drivers are still around the paddock, and they still don’t know why you’ve been holed up in your hotel room for two days. You haven’t talked to Max much since yesterday, but when you have, you’re glad he doesn’t just look at you with pity and actually checks on you.
You talk with your friends about the funeral arrangements for Luis next week before you talk with his parents, two people that have been as supportive of you as their son has, making you cry again. You skip out on your dinner plans with May and your PR officer with apologies and promises to make it up to them and order room service.
You make yourself a little more approachable on Saturday morning but keep the sunglasses. You wave at your friends but don’t stop to talk. At this point, most of the drivers know something is seriously upsetting you. They watched your media day interviews and barely recognized the person in front of the microphone.
A few of them asked Max about you when they run into him, but your teammate doesn’t want to tell everybody something you might not be ready to share.
He is by far the most worried driver of them all. He’s your best friend and he’s never seen you like this before. Max knows how close you were to Luis; he’s used to hearing stories about the adventures you had when you went home for a few days and can only imagine how you’re feeling inside.
Nobody goes out Saturday night in preparation for tomorrow’s race and you’re glad to have more time by yourself. You take the sunglasses off and stop to talk to your friends on Sunday, the first time all race weekend.
Max walks with you through the paddock, letting you talk when you want to or be silent if you choose. You don’t visit his driver's room, but you make sure to give him a hug before you get into your respective cars, an unspoken ‘thank you’ for his support over the past few days.
The race cheers you up a bit, you go P1 and point at the sky as you stand on top of your car in front of the garages. When the cameras pan over to you, you make sure the top of your helmet is visible, where an R.I.P. Luis sticker is. You wish he could’ve been here to see you win, but you know he would’ve been proud of you.
Max brings you into a hug after he parks behind you in P3, and you’re reminded how grateful you are that he is your best friend.
2026- “We should be proud”
You and Max have accomplished a lot together throughout the past four years. Max is now a four-time world champion, winning 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025. You beat him in 2024, and you’ve just beaten him to the 2026 title. You and Max have been almost tied with points every year since you’ve joined, so it usually comes down to the last few races to decide the winner. Beating Max wasn’t at all easy, and it didn’t get any less difficult to beat the rest of the grid.
Red Bull can no longer completely dominate as they did in the early 2020’s, but they still manage to top the other nine teams. Ferrari and Mercedes are the biggest rivalries, but a few other teams cause your cars a fair bit of trouble. Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri at Mclaren bring stress for the three big teams, as do Lance Stroll and Mick Schumacher at Aston Martin.
The partnering of Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo has brought Alpha Tauri up to the midfield and has allowed both drivers to stand on the podium multiple times. It’s made the last few years very exciting, and even though you love winning, you love seeing your friends succeed as well.
This year had been no different; You and Max had each won a fair number of races and had each stepped onto the podium multiple times. Ferrari and Mercedes had not made it any easier than previous years but still, by the time Abu Dhabi came around, Red Bull had a lead of 30 points over the second-place team, Mercedes. You were currently first for the Driver’s Championship, but Max was close behind with only a 19-point difference. If he won tonight’s race, he would become a five-time champion, and you’d have to wait until next year.
You tried to shove that thought out of your head with headphones. Your trainer just finished helping you warm up for the race start in an hour and you’re in your driver’s room. Usually, you’d be walking to Max’s room to chill out before drivers have to get into their cars for their formation laps, but you two had long come up with the agreement not to see each other before races that would determine the championship.
When it is time to start the formation lap, you go to the garage and instead of hugging your teammate like you usually do, you settle for a handshake and a nod. He’s your best friend, but also your closest rival. You start P2, Max beating you by half a second yesterday, and anxiously wait for the five red lights to come on.
“And it’s lights out and away we go in Abu Dhabi! Verstappen has a poor start, L/n takes advantage of it and tries to move in front of him and Y/n L/n is now leading this race but Max Verstappen is not far behind, the gap is less than a second, and Verstappen takes P1 back from L/n. It has been an exciting year in Formula 1, what better way to go out than a classic Red Bull battle?” David Croft commentates for the crowd.
It’s a great racing day for Formula 1; the weather is nice, and it looks like all twenty cars are going to last the 58 laps. As you continue the race in P2, trying to defend against Charles Leclerc behind you, you try to think of strategic ways to win the race. You don’t get very far, because you remember that Max is driving the same car as you, and by now, you’re as good as the Dutch man.
Your teammate takes a somewhat early pit stop and you’re able to gain a lead, but then you have to pit and get stuck in P6 behind Lance Stroll.
“Lap 35, Y/n L/n is leading in P1, Verstappen P2, Sainz P3, and Russell P4. Interesting lineup here, but the real fight is within Red Bull. We’re over halfway through this race and L/n and Verstappen have been trading places all day. There are not many options as to who will win this race, folks, but that doesn’t make it any easier to predict”
It’s Lap 50 and the excitement has winded down. It looks like everyone behind you and Max are going to stay the way they are currently, meaning you’ll be sharing a podium with Charles. Whether you’ll be standing on P1 or P2 you still don’t know. Max has made his way in front of you but you’re restless, gaining on him every possible moment, being only a few feet away from his rear wing on the straights.
You’re starting to get nervous now. This would not be your first World Championship, you had that moment in 2024, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t mean the world to you if you became a two-time world champion.
You think it’s your nerves that help you pick up on the fact that Max’s car locked up for just a second before going into the final turn. You think it’s your nerves that make your foot push through the gas pedal and help you get in front of your teammate. It’s Lap 51 and you’re in front of your teammate. You could win this. You could win this.
These words were like a mantra in your head, all the way until Lap 58, when you actually start to believe in yourself. The Dutch man behind you is relentless, getting so terrifyingly close to overtaking you, but never quite getting fully past. “Keep him at bay, Y/n” Your race engineer comes on over the radio. “Keep him at bay and it’s yours, Y/n”
And thirty seconds later, it is yours.
“And it’s Y/n L/n! Y/n L/n is the winner of Abu Dhabi 2026! Y/n L/n is the World Champion! Ladies and gentlemen, L/n is the Champion of 2026!” Crofty shouts and suddenly the only thing you can hear in your race engineer through your ears. "You've done it! You are the World Champion! The World Champion!”
“Holy shit, oh my god, holy-” Suddenly one of your arms is waving up and down because it’s the only way to express energy in your tiny car. You’re screaming, definitely making everyone down at the pit wall’s ear’s bleed. You feel tears in your eyes and don’t care because you were close to sobbing in 2024.
“Y/n, congratulations, you are officially a 2-time World Champion. We are so proud of you down here, congratulations” Christian’s voice comes over the radio next and you feel like you're floating through your cool-down lap.
You put one of your hands on your helmet as if you were covering your face and remember to wave to the crowd. You drive your car in front of the paddock where the 1st place sign is and get out of your seat as quickly as possible. You put your arms in the air and allow yourself to hear the roars of the crowd. You get down to run to your team, but you see Max first.
You know he just lost to you, and he probably is upset but he’s your best friend. Without hesitation, you run to him, and he meets you halfway to pull you into a hug. “Are you fucking kidding me? I’m so proud of you. Oh my god, Y/n, I am so proud of you” Your teammate has to shout, even though your heads are right next to each other.
He unwraps his hands from around your waist as you both run to your team. His side of the garage has been so successful these past few years and it’s a win for Red Bull overall, so they cheer just as loud as everyone else, just glad to see you happy. You both jump up so you can be caught by the engineers and it’s just a mess of high fives and cheers.
You both finally pull off your helmets and balaclavas and turn to see each other’s grinning, flushed, faces. You hug each other again. “We should be so proud of ourselves, Y/n. I’m so happy for you” Max doesn’t lie to you, so you’re glad you don’t have to worry he feels otherwise. You both pick up your towels and water bottles before you have to give interviews for Sebastian Vettel.
He became like Nico Rosberg, coming back to the paddock, not as a driver, just as someone who likes to be involved in Formula 1 and has the right to. You were on the grid with him for two years before he retired, and even though you two have never been best friends, you like him, and he roots for you especially. “Before I ask any questions, congratulations” The German man pulls you into a hug. “Thanks Seb” You grin.
“Y/n, you’ve just accomplished something unbelievable in F1, and have ensured Red Bull go down in Formula 1 history. What’s going through your head?”
“It’s unbelievable. I mean, it was more unbelievable the first time, but doing it a second time, just feels incredible. I’m really happy to be a part of Red Bull, and I’m really happy I’m able to help them achieve bigger things” You smile as you give your answer.
“Well, we’re all happy for you, Y/n. Again, congratulations, you drove very well today” Sebastian shakes your hand and sends you off.
While Max steps forward, Charles comes to you. “Congratulations! I am so happy for you. You deserve this” The Monegasque brings you into a tight embrace. “I am so proud of you” He kisses you on the cheek before letting you go. “Thank you, Charles, congratulations to you too” Charles has finished third in the driver’s championship every year since 2024 and you’re happy he’s finally getting the car he deserves.
You go into the driver’s room where a camera and TV wait for you. “A four-time world champion and two-time world champion. We are the dream team, aren’t we?” Max grins at you as he takes a seat. “Definitely” you say as you look at the screen, watching your championship win as long as they let you.
2027- “An Outsider’s perspective”
It has been almost ten years since Drive to Survive premiered and by now, all the drivers on the grid are sick of Netflix’s bullshit. They made it seem like you either hated or were in love with half the grid, and somehow managed to make fake conversations about teammates and contracts. Almost all the drivers never went in for interviews anymore, but a certain email caught their attention.
One thing everyone had known for years; You and Max were best friends. Another thing that nobody had known until about a month ago; Max was not extending his contract with Red Bull to go past the 2028 season. The director of Drive to Survive saw this and thought about making it into a second-to-last season finale of the show. Max’s patience about his contract news had worn out quickly, and nobody has been updated about it in a week.
Everyone in the entire world has heard you and Max say that you two were just friends a million times, but that didn’t mean they weren’t curious to know if there was more going on. It was time for the rest of the grid’s opinion on it.
“So, Charles”
“Lando”
“Carlos”
“Daniel” The director asked the Red Bull drivers’ closest friends.
“What’s really going on between Max and Y/n?”
Charles lets out a small smile. Lando groans. “Seriously?” Carlos rolls his eyes. Daniel laughs.
“There is nothing going on. They are just friends” Charles is confident.
“Nothing! For god’s sake’s...” Lando’s annoyed
“I mean, I don’t think anything romantic is going on. I think they are just very good friends.” Carlos is honest.
“They’re married and they have three secret kids in Monaco” Daniel continues to laugh.
“So you don’t even think they’ve kissed before?” The director continues.
“No” Charles shrugs.
“Maybe. I’m close with both of them but I don’t think it’s any of our business”
“No one except them can know for real. I haven’t seen them kiss before, but I don’t know”
Daniel stops laughing “No but actually, they're not together. Trust me, I’ve spent a lot of time with the two of them. They’re not a couple.”
“You don’t think anything is behind those glances?”
“No”
“Like true love? No” Lando laughs.
“Well, it’s obvious that they love each other. You just said it, the meaning behind their looks, you cannot ignore. But I still don’t think they are in love”
Daniel smiles now. “There is definitely some love between them, in their looks. It’s pretty obvious, I’d say”
“Do you think, let’s say, in another life, they would’ve been together?”
Charles cannot deny this question. “Yes, I do. Not in this one, but in another life, they are definitely soulmates.”
“Yes, I do actually. In another life they are 100% in love and have been together since 2023, probably.”
“I think so, yes. In another life though, not in this lifetime” Carlos smiles.
“Oh yeah. In another life they probably are married and have three secret kids in Monaco”
“Why do you think? That they’re together in another life but not in this one?
“Because they are meant to be with different people”
“I don’t know. Some people might say Kelly, but, if they really wanted to be together, they wouldn't have let somebody else come between them. They just don’t love each other like that” Lando says.
“They are just not meant to be together, I guess” Carlos says.
“They don’t love each other like that. Obviously, they love each other in some way, but not the kind you have in a relationship”
What is one time you thought they were definitely a couple?”
“To me, it was always obvious that they were not. I know to a lot of people it is the opposite but for some reason I could just tell, they loved each other but only as friends.”
“I remember one summer break in 2024, when Daniel invited me, Max, and Y/n to spend some time in Australia at his farm with him. This was a few months after Y/n crashed in Monaco, by the way. I remember we were all on a beach together, and Y/n just kept pulling Max behind her, telling him to look at seashells and crabs and stuff like that. And he didn’t protest at all, no matter how much random beach crap Y/n handed him” Lando smiled. “I thought; ‘Max would never have the patience to let someone pull him around like that’ But he did, and I think it was because he was glad she wasn’t seriously hurt in that crash”
“I said it earlier. I don’t think I ever thought they were. Me and Y/n are very good friends and when I first asked, she told me they were not together, and I have not thought otherwise”
“There have been a few moments over the years at this point, where for some ridiculous reason, Max gets a huge wave of hate at a time and- well, Max has never been one to care what other people think of him, but some stuff really got to him, and I remember Y/n making a few posts on social media telling everyone to stop, and that the stuff they were saying to him was really disgusting and undeserved. She knew everyone would think she had some sort of feelings for Max after that- I did and they’re my best friends. But she did it anyway, multiple times. And Y/n thinks it’s really annoying when people say they’re a couple, so for her to do that... I thought they were 100% in love”
“Last question. What do you think makes Y/n and Max, Y/n and Max? What about them makes them so different than other driver friendships?”
“I think their similarities, I think that’s what started their friendship in the first place. Max has said he sees a lot of himself in Y/n and she joined Formula 1 and Red Bull when she was young, they both did. So, I think it’s that, their similar achievements and such, that helped them become such good friends” Charles answers.
“Their personalities, I’d say. They have similar senses of humor and- they're very different actually. They say opposites attract and I think that’s true for them. Max is a bit introverted, and Y/n is not at all. People think Max is too serious and if I had to add to that, I think Y/n makes him loosen up a bit” Lando states.
“I’d say their loyalty to each other. You know how when you were in school, and the teacher would say, ‘everyone chose a partner’ and you and your friend immediately look at each other? That’s Y/n and Max. They each have a lot of friends but at the end of the day, they’re only looking at each other” Carlos says
“Everything about them together just clicks. If you watch them interact, you can understand how comfortable they are around each other. If Y/n is buying food, she gets extra for Max. If you can’t find Y/n around the paddock, you start looking for Max because he knows better than you do. There’s no hesitation when they touch, whether it’s a hug or just a hand on the shoulder. It’s a combination of how long they’ve known each other and how well they know each other.” Daniel explains.
“Okay, cut!”
2028- “The End of Something Great”
You’ve known for longer than anyone else has. Not because he told you. Because you know him. You don’t know how to explain it, only that you’ve known for almost a year at this point that Max’s contract was ending and he was not going to renew it or look for another team. You think it’s something you’ve always known, since you first saw that Max’s contract was set to end at the end of 2028.
What you don’t know is how you feel about it. You’re happy for Max because he is leaving on his own terms, and as world champion. But you feel like crying once you realize you won’t see him as often anymore. You’ll be best friends always, you know that, but it won’t be the same. Not the same as when you’re driving right next to him, or as when you’re training together, or as when you’re eating breakfast together at hotels.
You’re driving to Red Bull Headquarters for the last time for the 2028 season when you’re thinking about this. You have to turn the radio on to stop yourself from tearing up. Red Bull’s media team is having you two do a ‘On the Sofa: Goodbye Max’ video before he leaves F1 forever and you’ve been dreading it. You’ve enjoyed every second of driving alongside Max Verstappen and you’d do it for another six years if you could.
You take a deep breath as you walk in with May and towards the showroom, where the sofa and your teammate await. The cameras are already rolling and you’re not even in frame yet. You know the people behind the camera want every moment of your goodbye.
You let out a small smile once your eyes meet. “Hi” You move to hug him. “Hi” He whispers back. “You ready?” “No” Another sad smile.
“Hello everyone. I’m Max Verstappen...”
“I’m Y/n L/n”
“And this is On the Sofa with Max and Y/n, for the last time” A laugh escapes your mouth and you put your head in your hands.
“I thought you were sad?”
“I am. I just laugh when I probably shouldn’t”
“Y/n” He gets right to it, knowing neither of you are in the mood to joke around before starting. Reading off the card in his hands, “What are three things you will miss most about me as a teammate?” You don’t even bother trying to be funny or careless.
“Um, filming videos for the channel, testing days were always fun because they let us talk to each other while we’re in our cars, and traveling together, I think” Max laughs. “Oh, testing days were never productive, I mean, at least not for us” You laugh along with him, thinking of the fond memories that have accumulated over the years.
“What has been your favorite video we’ve filmed over the years?”
“We’ve done so many I can’t pick just one, so I’ll say…I think the videos where we’re competing against each other. Like that one baseball game we did in Texas one year, and all those races we did on track, like the roller skates and the scooter one, those were fun because we always just ended up laughing”
“The ones where we’re against each other are definitely very fun” You’re both grinning now.
“What are two things that have changed, and two things that have stayed the same over the past six years- wow, six years. It’s been six years?”
“Oh my god we’re so old- you’re 31 and I’m 25. Jeez”
“Old? Six more years and you’ll be 31 too”
“Yeah and you’ll be 37” You snicker.
“Answer the question” Max rolls his eyes fondly.
“Fine. Two things that haven’t changed are the fact that you’re still wearing that fucking hat, and the fact that Red Bull has billions of dollars and refuses to by a more comfortable couch!”
“Yeah this couch sucks”
“Two things that have changed... Well, we’re both old-“
“Stop calling me old”
“and we’re both World Champions” You smile at the camera.
“Okay, Y/n, if you could choose your teammate for next year, who would you choose and why?”
You stop laughing. “I would choose you because I don’t want you to go” Another sad smile. The mood in the room changes. Max pulls you closer and into a hug. “I know” He says to you.
When you pull away, you try to hide the tears shining in your eyes and you’re surprised to see Max turning his head away too. “Y/n” He grabs another card to distract you two. “If you could relive one moment from the past six years, what moment would you choose?”
“I’d relive all of it if I could. I don’t regret a single second and I’d do it all again like that” You snap your fingers, and you don’t hide your face when the tears spring up again. The video is almost over and you both feel it.
“Y/n, if you had one wish right now, what would it be?” Everyone in the room knows the answer to this question and you don’t know why the marketing team chose today to come up with these questions. “I’d wish for you to stay” At that, a tear drips down your cheek and Max brings you into his arms. You freely let water drip down your face and are surprised when you feel a drop or two of water fall on to your shirt. You’ve never seen Max cry , you don’t think anyone has, but for this moment he lets his emotions overpower his pride and shed a few tears.
“Oh god I haven’t cried in a while” You let out a weak laugh when you pull away. “Me either” And then you're both looking somberly at each other, feeling too much to say.
“The last thing we’re going to do is helmet swap” He breaks the silence as you both pull your written-on helmets out from behind the couch. You decided to give Max the helmet you were wearing when you won your second World Championship. Max hands you the helmet he was wearing a few weeks ago, the one he was wearing when he won his fifth and final World Championship. You smile before reading the paragraph written on the side.
“Y/n, when I met you at the factory all those years ago, I did not expect you to become the person you are to me today. You are my best friend, my supporter, and my confidant, and I don’t know where I’d be without you. We’ve made so much history together, and I hope you go on to make some more. Never stop driving, I wish you the best. Your teammate, Max Verstappen”
You hug Max before he can see your shining eyes. “Thank you for everything” He whispers. You both stand up once you pull away but wrap your arms around each other’s shoulders once you do. “I’m saying all my proper goodbyes to everyone later, but I’ll give the gist of it now” The Dutch man looks at the camera. “Red Bull, thank you for everything you’ve done for me. It’s been an incredible past few years. And I don’t say it much but thank you to all my fans. I’m so grateful I’ve been able to race in F1 for so long, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The End. Goodbye!” Max waves to the camera and you join. Everyone behind the camera cheers. You and Max hug for the last time as teammates and you wish time would stop right there. “The end” He says. “The End”

Wolf Pack Headcanons
My personal head canons on the shifters and what they get up to 🫶 I’ve been missing seeing wolf pack content. Plus there isn’t much info or anything on the Wolfpack outside of Jacob. Most of these come from the fact I know what it’s like to live on a rez. Debating if I should do nsfw head canons next 🤭
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s hardly any down time for the shifters. Since the Cullens came into town there had been almost constant activity in the area. After the birth of Renesmee everyone thought it’d calm down. But instead activity got more frequent. Patrols and executions were part of their routine after a few years
When Vampire activity is low they still protect the rez in their own way. Most of the guys took first aid and security classes. Since chief and council know about the secret of the shifters they pay all of them (except the younger ones aka minors) through their security program. So when there are hardly any vampires they work in the security program
Everyone helps Emily with the household such as cleaning and cooking when they can. But most just help pay for the groceries since she feeds all of them
The rez has a mixed view of the shifters. To everyone they’re all secretive and intimidating. But because of how many people they’ve helped over the years they’ve also earned a lot of respect. Some believe they are arrogant and entitled to the rez. Others believe them to be protectors of the rez in a way. Sometimes people have issues with them to the point of harassing them. Sam, Paul, and Jared are usually the main targets. Like Bella thinking they are a gang ☠️
These guys all have trucks and drive everywhere+anywhere. Kim is the only one to own a car. They have many different chill spots around the rez (not just them but everyone in La push goes to these places) usually to drink and have bonfires
When they aren’t driving on the Rez they’re heading into town for some fun. Shopping sprees, eating out, and gambling is usually what’s on the agenda for these guys. Although they drive a lot locally it’s because they can’t travel too far
Everyone especially Paul dreams of the day they no longer have to shift. Once they stop they have all the freedom to travel and explore
The guys love to go mudding in their trucks and have contests
Emily has a projector and hosts movie nights in the backyard when it’s nice out
Emily and Kim craft and bead together. Emily does more sewing than beading, she’s made all the guys ribbon shirts, from youngest to eldest. Also enjoys making ribbon skirts occasionally especially Appliqué ribbon skirts. Kim loves to make beaded earrings and necklaces. These two give away more than they sell
Kim is always wearing big ndn girl™️ earrings. Beaded, quilled, dentillium, shells, you name it. (Once she wanted to make some out of Jared’s wolf fur but he refused. She found a way)
All of them are hella competitive with each other. And since they’re basically non human their strength and abilities are crazy. They all enjoyed testing their strength, think Bella and Emmett arm wrestling, same energy with these guys. Both in human and wolf form they strived to show off. The imprintees of them all had to take some time to get used to seeing such things. Like two mega beasts fighting on the front lawn, switching back to human, and playing it off like nothing
Paul, Leah, and Embry are the ones who struggle the most with being a shifter. In the beginning their rage and frustration was almost uncontrollable. Even as the years passed they still had moments where they burst out of control. (Once they imprinted the out bursts stopped completely) So these three became close since they were similar especially in their struggles
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
High energy for all of them. They have to find ways to burn off energy or else they legit couldn’t sleep. Which the solution is always intense exercise. Most times you’ll find Paul and Jared are competing to see who can do more push ups. Or the younger wolves doing relay races on their usual trails. Embry, Quil, and Jacob liked to box and spar with each other only. Leah and Paul get way too aggressive when sparring with everyone. It’s usually just Leah vs Paul if they really need to get rid of their aggression. Sam and Jared spar together since they actually follow the rules lol
Emily and Leah are still close and Leah never dated Sam lol
It wasn’t Sam that scarred Emily it was a rogue vampire. Sam punishes his self since he wasn’t fast enough to protect her. But he was quick enough along with Paul to stop the vampire before he could change her. It’s why Leah distrusts Sam. She believes he can’t protect her sister/cousin well enough and punishes him daily in their hive mind. Also constantly questions him as a leader
Quil and Kim are cousins lol I imagine them being close like brother and sister growing up. So it works well for them to be in the wolf pack together
For the shifters it’s hard for them to drink any alcohol. Not that they don’t it’s just that their body burns the alcohol quicker than normal humans. Smoking 🍃 actually has an effect on them like normal
Majority of them rarely drink, it started from Sam believing he needed to be in a clear mind, in order to be a leader. Not only that but being a shifter meant being very spiritually connected. And in most native cultures it’s believed that alcohol dulls the spirit. (Doesn’t stop some of them lol)
Quil, Embry, and Jacob were the first to start smoking 🍃 and out of the whole pack Quil is the biggest stoner. Claims it’s what “keeps him chill” since he doesn’t have a hard time shifting
They hunt game while they’re in wolf form. Natives love wild meat, deer, elk, moose, you name it. So them being able to shift makes it way easier to catch game. The guys gut and skin whatever they catch. Emily and Kim are usually the two who process the game. (Tbh it’s mostly Paul, Leah, and Sam bringing back game home because they raged out)
Everybody is in someway jealous of Jared and Kim. Since Jared had an easy time with shifting even in the beginning. And when he imprinted on Kim their relationship had always been easy and full of love even now
Jacob and Quil are the mechanics of the group. All the guys know some basic skills but these two are the best at it. Anytime anyone has issues it’s them who take care of it
It was actually Seth who took on his mom’s role and was training to become an emergency service provider. Eventually he wants a job in medicine. Leah knows basic cpr and first aid like the rest of the guys
All their minds are linked, when they shift they get a download, of what everyone was doing while not in wolf form. Nothing is secret or sacred lol they all know everything about each other. In their human form they’re still connected of course. But they have to get consent to connect telepathically in human form. In wolf form they have no control and everything is shared in the mind in an instant
Tbh around others especially in crowded places they gained their rep of being stoic and silent bc of this. Even in human form they talk more with each other in their heads than with their voice. Usually if they’re in a group but silent they’re talking in their heads to each other. They all have their own ways of blocking out certain things the others go through
The pack tolerates renesmee but pretty much just Emily and Kim visit her, out of pity and empathy, Jacob understood this well. Instead of making his brothers uncomfortable he’s usually with the Cullens. Occasionally he’ll come by his self but not for long. Sometimes he brings her but it’s usually short visits
Quil Atera III (quil’s grandfather) Billy Black, Harry Clearwater, and Sue Clearwater are one of very few people who know history of the shifters. Majority of what everyone knows about shifters is because of the knowledge they possess. The pack rely on these 3 the most
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I felt this was enough head canons for now even tho I have way more lol. Hoping to upload one of my fics rewritten soon here. But I’m having fun with these wolf pack head canons for now. If you enjoy this and my writing feel free to send me an ask! I’m open for requests ✨

me when i actually feel motivated to write again😃😃BUT YEAAAAH HERES SOME MORE SIN FOR YOU GUYS YOURE WELCOME!!
Era: 1964
-
You and John were at the opening for his new book “In His Own Write”, you were over the moon excited for him, but, problem was, he was hardly paying attention to you. He was laughing it up with Paul and whoever else was there with him, George obviously noticed something was up when he tapped you on your arm, which made you jump.
“Hey, y/n, you doing alright?” He asked, genuine concern painted on his face. You couldn’t help but feel gratitude that you had someone like George in your life, he was a great friend and always knew how to comfort you, even when John didn’t.
“Oh, yeah. I’m fine, I guess I just feel quite bare sitting here with no one to talk to.” You said, turning to look at John, who wouldn’t even bother to look and see if you’re even still here.
“Well, I’m here, and so is Pattie, if you wanna talk and come over to us.” He offered, Pattie giving you a very warm smile and hand shake. Pattie’s beauty always baffled you, you have never seen somebody so naturally gorgeous as her, it made you feel quite insecure, really. But you obviously knew that wasn’t on her, might be more on John, actually, he’d always talk about blonde bombshells like Bridget Bardot or very dark feminine women like Sophia Loren, it always made you feel less than.
“Goodness, y/n, you look absolutely marvelous! He doesn’t know what he’s missing, I can tell you that for sure.” Pattie said, you decided to wear your favorite black, lace dress with a black shaw to match, you did feel iffy about knowing how tight it was, but you couldn’t help but feel pretty, that on top of the beautiful sparkling, white, necklace you had on as well John had bought you for your second wedding anniversary gift. If only he actually would pay attention to you, it’d be nice.
“I just don’t understand why he’s not even acknowledging me, as soon as we got here he went right over to Paul, letting go of my hand in an instant.” You said, trying not to let this ruin your night. You understood that it was ‘his’ night per say, but you at least deserved some sort of acknowledgment, right?
“Oh, y/n, I know just the trick. This worked perfectly the last time I did it with an ex of mine, just simply, do the same. Enjoy your night and don’t even bother with him, this is your night just as much as his.” Pattie said cheerfully, she always was the one to give the best pep talks. And just that you did, spending the rest of the party talking and hanging out with George and Pattie, and occasionally Ringo and Maureen.
And then, the after party came along, it had to have been around 12:00 or more in the morning, but nobody was letting up. You and Pattie decided to have a few drinks and start dancing to, surprisingly, your husbands music. “Twist and Shout” started to blare and you and Pattie started to do exactly that, dancing the night away. George and Pattie were dancing together gleefully and getting you involved whenever they could. That was, until Paul walked over to you, him and Jane were on a “break” so he said. So he all by himself, explains why he was with John and Brian basically the whole night.
“Hey, love! Where have you been? Me and John have been looking everywhere for you!” He said, practically yelling over the loud music.
“Oh, I was with George and Pattie, what’s wrong?” You said, John coming up behind Paul shortly after.
“Nothin-“ Paul was quickly shut down by John as he pulled you into a tight embrace.
“Fuck, love, you had me so worried, I thought you left without me, come on, we’re going home.” He said, as you basically pushed through a crowd of people and got into your car.
“John, why are we leaving? What is wrong?” You asked, John didn’t say a word. One hand was on the wheel, the other was clutched to your thigh. You had absolutely no idea what his deal was.
“John, if I made you mad I’m sorry but it just felt like you weren’t paying att-“
“As soon as we get inside that house I want you upstairs and ready for me. I couldn’t be around you because of that fucking dress, I wouldn’t be able to control myself. Go on, now.” He demanded. You made sure as soon as he parked into the driveway you ran inside the house and went into your shared bedroom, quickly taking off your shaw and dress, along with your Mary Jane heels. You then made your way to your white, satin bed and slowly got underneath the sheets, waiting for him. Your heart race increased in anticipation as you heard him up the stairs, and heard the bedroom door open. And there stood John, his blazer gone to god knows where and his white button up unbuttoned. You couldn’t have asked for a better sight, if you’re gonna be honest, this is probably the best way to be repaid after being ignored the entire night.
“Come on, now, don’t start hiding from me.” He said as he quickly ripped the covers off your body, being completely exposed.
“There’s my pretty girl.” He cooed, making you blush. He was always a sweetheart when he wanted to be.
“John, I-“ you began to speak, but your mouth shut out of complete embarrassment. You were extremely nervous when it came to asking for what you want in bed.
“Hm? What was that, doll? You want something? What do you want, hm?” He teased, his fingers caressing your thighs, you knew you had to just let it out, but it was so hard for you and never understood why.
“I-um, I want you to turn me around this time.” You whispered, John gave a devious grin and took no time flipping you over, getting you on your hands and knees.
“Like this, birdie? You want me to be a little rough with you, dolly? Huh?” He said as he gave a harsh slap to your ass, making you gasp and jump in surprise. John giggled darkly at your reaction and began to un-do his pants, until he was completely naked.
“I’ve thought about you like this, y/n. You being all obedient for me, I love it. You’re such a good girl for me, a fucking dirty girl too.” He was such a good dirty talker, it made you begin to whimper and try to get any kind of friction you could get. John started to get the memo and didn’t even spend time to get you prepared by any sort of foreplay and just began to thrust himself inside you, not giving no time to adjust.
“AH, John!” You screamed as he pounded into you, his hand immediately coming to yank at your hair.
“Fuck, you’re so good for me, cunts so fucking tight for me.” He grunted, his voice deeper then ever. It turned you on like never before, how just an hour ago you were being completely neglected by him and now, here you are, getting pounded into the mattress by your husband. You’d be lying if you said it wasn’t worth it.
“J-john, w-wait! Slow down!” You cried out, John immediately stopped and pulled out.
“What, are you okay? Did I hurt you?” He panted, you shook your head and turned to lay on your back.
“I guess I just missed seeing your face.” You said, out of breath and voice strained from moaning and yelling.
“Ahh, atta girl.” He replied as he pulled you into a deep, passionate kiss as he thrusts back into, slower this time, just in case.
“You’re so beautiful, y/n, can’t imagine life without you.” He praised, as he kissed your face and neck, you smiled as you sighed happily, but not before turning into soft moans as he began to slowly pick up his pace.
“John, f-faster, I want to go faster, please.” You moaned out as John began to go harder, the obscene noises coming from your core filling the room.
“I love the sounds you make, christ, all fucking mine.” He groans, going as fast as he can at this point. Sweat is beginning to form on his forehead and body, same with you, as you continued to moan and cry out for him.
“John, I-I-“ you screamed out as you came all over him without warning, John just gave you a heartfelt smile and kissed your forehead.
“Fuck, I’m so close, I’m gonna fucking cum.” He moans out, you felt so overstimulated but you just couldn’t complain as long as you were making him feel good.
After about two more thrusts, he comes inside of you with a loud groan. He pulls out slowly and goes to grab towels for you to clean you up.
“There you are.” He chuckles as puts the towels in the wash and comes back to lay down with you as you slowly return to reality.
“John, I love you. But, do you promise you love me just as much as I love you?” You whisper, John kisses your lips and head in response.
“Y/n, I can promise you I have never loved anyone as much as I love you, it’ll stay that away. I can promise you that. I love you.” He assures, that was all you needed to drift you off into a deep, loving sleep.

Carry You Home (Pt. 3)
Tumblr media
Roman Reigns x Lale (OC) | 18+, NSFW, eventual smut, fluff | 2281 words
Pt. 3 of that fluff piece... hopefully y'all enjoy this part as much as the other two.
This is based off of the August 11, 2023 Episode of Smackdown (I absolutely had to go back and watch it recently in order to get my brain back together.)
And let me not forget to tag ... @southerngirl41 & @tshepisho❤️️
Tumblr media
“Deuces Uces!”
Lale’s hands clasped over her mouth, her shock not nearly as audible as the rest of the stadium that surrounded her.  A sea of signs that had once blocked out the led screens that encircled the stadium, were now crumpled at the feet of the frantic crowd.  Some frantic to reach their hands out to the departing Uso, other’s looking between themselves and the dazed form of Roman Reigns in the ring below.  Lale couldn’t figure out where to look.  At Jey Uso, a friend to her and cousin to Roman, or to the fallen man in the ring.
The vibrating of her phone was nearly not enough to bring her out of her daze.  Even now, she still held one hand clasped over parted lips, her other hand thumbing open the screen.  A text scrolled across her screen from Kayla Braxton, the main backstage correspondent for Smackdown and one of her closest friends.  An invitation backstage, to get a feel for the chaos seemed to be spreading through the Scotiabank Saddledome.  It was almost as if someone else had control of her limbs.  She’d grabbed Cathy Kelley’s hand at some point, mumbling something about backstage.  Thankfully she didn’t seem to question it.
By the time they made it backstage, Kayla was nowhere to be found.  In her place stood the three people she’d least expected to find lingering in Gorilla.  Joe, Paul, and last but not least Sefa.  “I can’t believe those two.  This is what they’ve been hiding from us all week?”  The trio were deep in conversation, clearly just as thrown by the events that had unfolded in the stadium as the rest of the crowd was.  Lale hung back, fingers brushing the black curtains that marked the hallway that led out to the main stadium.
“You’re not going to go say hi?”
Lale blinked over at Cathy, who stood beside her with a knowing grin.  “Kayla didn’t summon me back here to meet up with her did she…”  Cathy shrugged, not giving any indication one way or the other, which was an answer in and of itself.  “He looks busy… I don’t want to get in the middle of all - -” She gestured vaguely at the trio, who were now turned to look at her.  Joe’s face had quickly shifted from the storm of frustration, to something that could’ve been easily misconstrued as… amusement? Nope there was no misconstruing that. He was amused.
“Never knew you to be the type to crash backstage ma.”
Lale rolled her eyes.  “I normally don’t unless invited and since you clearly weren’t about to, Kayla did.” She sighed softly, running a hand through her tousled hair.  “Thanks for the tickets by the way, you really didn’t need to send those.  I was half expecting another car to sweep me away for another private dinner.”  Cathy’s eyes widened beside her.  “Or was that supposed to be our secret?”
“Looks like you got your bite back… I’m surprised after tonight.  Thought your jaw would never come up off the floor after what Jey pulled…”
Lale blinked up at Joe, seeing a flash of the earlier frustration cloud his features.  “So I take it creative didn’t exactly - -” Sefa was quick to cut her off.  “They fuckin’ didn’t tell us anything.  All these last minute changes, it’d be nice to know about some of them so we’re not having to improv as much.”  Paul didn’t say much, but Joe’s features shifted.  “It makes for a better story, you and I both know that.  It wouldn’t make sense for the betrayal to have come from such… superficial reasons.  No one ever does anything just for the tribal chief.”
There it was, that flash of Roman Reigns who’d been out there on that stage.  The persona that filled rooms and turned the normally eloquent and put together Paul Heyman into a quivering mess.  “I’ll have to have a talk with creative.  I understand not telling you guys, so that the reactions are genuine but not telling me?” Paul clicked his tongue.  “Anyway, since it seems you guys have plans and I do not want to be the one to keep you from them.  So I’ll see you guys tomorrow? Hopefully I’ll have better news.”
Paul’s departure left a gap in the conversation, one that Sefa struggled to fill.  Thankfully Cathy seemed to pick up on that and offered to walk with him back towards the lockers in the hopes that she could track down Kayla.  Which then left Lale all alone with Joe.  While she’d been big talk when Cathy was beside her, something about not having back up had left her feeling vulnerable.  She’d been joking about the private dinners.  Joe and she hadn’t been truly alone in months.  They’d been texting consistently, the older man sending her food on days he knew were rough, but outside of that, their interactions had been limited to just that.
“So what was that about a private dinner?”
Lale settled into the plush leather of the Escalade beside Joe, a comfortable silence filling the luxurious blacked out vehicle that he’d summoned to take them away from the Scotiabank Saddledome and towards their destination for the night.  Somehow, even with last minute notice Joe had managed to get them a table at an upscale italian place downtown.  She’d had to resist the urge to check the menu, and honestly see what the actual hours were because she had a feeling that he’d called in a favor or two.
“Am I over or under dressed?”
Joe had been lost to his thoughts, blinking slowly at the woman beside him inquisitively.  “What?”
“Am I over or under dressed for where we’re going?”  Lale would’ve normally been annoyed at having to repeat herself, however given what had just went down at the stadium.  Regardless of the reality. She could almost sense the moments playing out in his head and knew he deserved a little bit of grace.
“You look perfect.  It’s after hours, so I can guarantee that they’re not going to give a fuck about a dress code.”
It was something that she herself should’ve realized.  The man beside her was clad in a pair of gym shorts and a tshirt that clung to his well defined muscles.  Compared to her crop top and jean shorts, they were about evenly match in terms of potentially violating a dress code.  Silence fell between them once more.  The smooth ride of the Escalade allowing to watch the world outside of them with very little interruption.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Lale was surprised to see a few cars sprinkled throughout the parking lot.  Joe seemed to sense her confusion, resting a casual hand on her back as they made their way inside.  “Couple of friends were already planning on joining us ma, nothing to worry about.  We’ll still have our privacy.”  A sly wink as he held the door open for her, her eyes wandering across the elegantly decorated space.  Tables with plenty of room between them, alcoves that seemed to hold a table for two, then others with tables that seemed to be able to accommodate a whole party. The floors beneath her feet were a deep mahogany, the walls adorned with very little to allow emphasis on the wall to wall floor to ceiling windows.  The same windows that allowed for a gorgeous view of the city as well as the stars that flickered in the night sky.
“Too much?”
Lale could only hope that her mouth hadn’t been hanging open for too long.  “It’s stunning Joe… and I absolutely feel under dressed.”  Too much skin exposed, not enough elegance, and yet somehow they weren’t looked at any differently than the few patrons who remained in suits and dresses.
“Order anything you’d like, my treat.”
He’d been treating her so often lately and yet she still felt like she was taking advantage of his kindness.  Perhaps it was payment for all the times he’d teased her and given her a hard time.  Even tho… did he really owe her for any of that?  She sighed softly, settling into the chair across from Joe, smoothing the napkin on her lap.
“Whatcha thinkin’ about mama? I know that look.  You tend to get that look any time an interview doesn’t go your way.”
There it was, the jabs she’d been expecting.  Somehow that actually brought a sense of comfort, to a night that had absolutely thrown her for a loop.  “Trying to figure out what all this means?” It was out of her mouth before she could stop herself.  “Between Kayla texting me and meeting up with you instead.  This private dinner, when they’d really been limited to texting ever since that night a couple of months ago…
“You’re wondering why tonight.  Why after all the drama, why I’m not out with the boys, or giving the twins an earful.  And I’m instead out here with you, wining and dining you in a way that doesn’t quite line up with anything we’ve been doing.  Sound about right?”
“Please remove yourself from my brain, thanks.”
The laugh that escaped Joe shook his shoulders, his head shaking along with it and his hair falling into his face from where it had fallen from his hair tie.  “Have you ever considered that your thoughts are practically broadcast on your face ma? Or at the very least… I know what the texts and the food deliveries and everything else have felt like the last two months?  Friendly support and this…”  He gestured to the intimate setting, the alcove that protected them from prying eyes while still leaving them a perfect view of the floor to ceiling windows. “This is more.  Though I would’ve thought we crossed that more threshold that first night.  But again, that’s just me.”
His teasing wink sent color spreading across her cheeks.  “I honestly… I don’t know how to count that night.  It was appreciated and… unexpected… considering how much trouble you’d given me in the past.  I… thank you Joe.”  She realized as the words left her mouth, that this was the first time she’d properly thanked him for the emotional support he’d provided.  From saving her from herself that night.
“So this is something that’s been in the works for a while hasn’t it.”
Joe raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching upwards in what Lale could only assume was a smirk.  “Certainly cutting to the chase aren’t you.  Yes I’ve thought about this for a while, no it’s not exactly been in the works.  I didn’t want to put pressure on you with everything else that’s going on in your life.” He reached across the table to rest his hand on hers.  “But tonight wasn’t exactly in the cards.  I was just so frustrated with creative not sharing these last minute changes, with the improv that Sefa brought to the table… that seeing you…”  He shrugged, shifting in his chair, his gaze moving away from hers.  “Seeing you was exactly what I needed.  And I owe Kayla big time for getting you back there.”
Her suspicions confirmed, Lale released a breath she hadn’t intended on holding. “I think… I also owe her big time for this.”  She turned her hand under his, her fingers curling around his.  It was a gesture that Joe returned with a soft squeeze, his expression softening as they held on to one another across the table.
A few hours later, the pair stumbled out of the restaurant.  Joe’s arm comfortably around Lale’s shoulder, her hand resting against his chest as they headed back towards the waiting Escalade.  The dinner had flown by with conversation, laughter, and at least a bottle and a half of wine between them.  Lale was lost in the warmth and presence of the man beside her and, if she was being honest with herself, didn’t want this night to end.
The car sat idling beside them and both were hesitant to open the door.  To start the journey back to their hotel that would signify the end to their night.  Joe was looking down at her now, large calloused palm brushing hair out of her face, grazing her cheek on it’s way by.  “Lale…” He leaned in close, strong arms framing her against the vehicle.  “Joe?” She looked up at him through her eyelashes, tongue wetting her lip, letting her hands rest comfortably against his chest.
“Can I?”
She knew exactly what he was asking and nodded.  His lips descended upon hers.  A gentle gesture given the size of the man, as well as the character he played for the masses.  Her eyes drifted closed, arms wrapping around his shoulders.  His arms moved from the car, one arm wrapping around her waist, the other reaching up to cup her jaw and deepen the kiss.  Her lips parted eagerly, his tongue sliding between to claim hers.  Fireworks went off from somewhere. Or if she’d been paying attention, the light of a camera flash. Either way, she was too lost in the moment for any of it to matter.
He pulled away after a moment, resting his forehead against hers, his chest heaving.  “Come back to my room with me?”
Lale was not quite that tipsy.  She looked up at him once more, an eyebrow raised as she met his gaze.
“Okay, not like that… like that first night yeah? Just… this time don’t go hiding in the shower first?”
Lale snorted, teeth worrying at her bottom lip as she considered.  “Alright, as long as you’re good with stopping by my room first.  I would like to actually shower this time… deal?”
“Deal.”

CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER
DOCTOR WHO MAGAZINE 337 10TH DECEMBER 2003
BY BENJAMIN COOK
“He’s imbued with this slice of evil,” explains Paul McGann, when I ask him to tell me about the Eighth Doctor’s current predicament… “I won’t go into the whole detail of it, because I’ve only just recorded it. I’ll still be trying to figure it out tonight! But yeah, the Doctor’s a bit of a bastard in this one. And that’s great. What’s fun, what’s nice to play, is a dark side…”
“You have more fun being a baddie,” confirms Peter Davison, who’s wearing exactly the same T-shirt that he wore for the recording of The Sirens of Time half-a-decade earlier (his own way of commemorating the anniversary, perhaps?). “There are more things to do with a bastard.”
“There’s more space, there’s more latitude, there’s more elbowroom with a baddie,” agrees Paul. “The good guys have to be patently good, if you know what I mean. They have to look noble.” Is there nothing that Doctor Who can’t do? “I don’t think so. That’s the beauty of it, isn’t it?”
“Maybe there are some things,” Colin Baker chips in, “but if we say what they are you can bet that somebody will come up with a script that includes precisely those things – and it’ll work. You can say that the Doctor could never massacre a thousand innocent children, but if someone came up with a script that gave a very good reason why he should…well, then I’d do it.”
“You could have said that Doctor Who can’t sing,” smiles Sylvester McCoy, pointing accusingly at Colin Baker.
“He sang? When?” Paul grins. “Why didn’t they ask me to sing?”
“Actually, when I heard,” says Colin, “that they were doing a Gilbert and Sullivan [see Doctor Who and the Pirates], I thought, ‘This is taking it too far.’ But I read the script and it gave entirely credible reasons why the Doctor would sing. It’s one of the most moving scripts I’ve read in terms of the context in which the Doctor decides to do what he does.”
“A barbershop quartet!” exclaims Peter Davison, quite suddenly. “Wouldn’t it be perfect? It’d be perfect, wouldn’t it?” The Four Doctors, he means. “Yeah, we’d go down a storm.” At conventions, I suggest. “I’m thinking bigger than that. We could be huge…”
“Worldwide domination,” whispers Sylvester McCoy, menacingly.
…..
“The hero has to be unmistakable,” suggests Colin Baker, “but that bad person can be anyone.” His voice drops to a whisper. “They might not reveal themselves. You know what I mean?”
“There’s just more room there,” says Paul McGann, “with a baddie, you know?” Does it ever get a bit dull, then, playing a do-gooder like the Doctor? “I don’t know if he is a do-gooder – in considering, for example, how he was exiled from his homeland. He has a bit of a record. He’s a bit erratic and – what’s the word?”
“Eccentric!” offers Peter Davison. “He could be your uncle, who’s the black sheep of the family, who all the children love and the parents disapprove of.”
“I was going to say ‘fractious’. I mean, sure,” Paul says, “he’s a force for good, and he understands that, and doesn’t mind admitting it, but they never call if good. No one ever talks about ‘good’ and ‘bad’, or ‘good’ and ‘evil’, do they? I mean, there’s never quite that, sort of, quasi-religious thing going on. No, it’s just power corrupting and fights around the universe.”
Peter says: “He’s definitely anti-authority in many ways.”
“That’s why I’m attracted to him,” joins in Sylvester, “and I think why other people are as well.”
….
“Is Paul being regenerated?” frowns Sylvester McCoy, leafing through his script. “Is this the end?”
“Yeah. We decided that’s it.” Gary Russell grins. “We don’t want to do Doctor Who any more. That’s it, it’s finished now.”
“Richard E Grant,” persists Sylvester. “Is he not taking over?”
“Richard Who?” Gary laughs. “No, doesn’t mean anything to me!”
“Yes, well, when people have said to me, ‘Who do you think would make a good Doctor?’, I’ve often said Richard E Grant,” insists Sylvester. “He may be a touch young, but he’s definitely the right kind of eccentric, quirky character. Knowing that people want a younger Doctor, he’ll fit the bill really well, won’t he?”
“And he’s quite well-known in his own right,” says Peter Davison, “so I don’t think he’ll get lost in it – unless he becomes the television Doctor. In that case, it won’t swamp everything he’s doing, but it’ll change his life quite dramatically, I should think. He knows what it’s like to have a fanbase thing, because of what Withnail and I brought him…”
What advice would they give the new TV Doctor? “I wouldn’t presume to give anybody any advice,” declares Colin Baker.
“Why should we help him?” grins Paul McGann. “To hell with him!”
In studio, Gary Russell and Lalla Ward are debating whether Romana would use the word ‘poppycock’. “You’re right, Lalla. It should, of course, be ‘affirmative’. But you did enjoy ‘poppycock’, didn’t you?”
“I loved poppycock!”
“Let’s keep it, then. Maybe you could just - ”
“A bit more ‘poppy’ and a bit less ‘cock’?”
Gary Russell sighs. “It’s going to be one of those days, isn’t it?”
“I haven’t even ravished the universe yet,” bemoans Paul McGann.
“I’ve got two hearts,” Lalla boasts. “I don’t need to ravish anything!”
…..
“There’s a jokey rivalry. Yeah, of course there is,” says Peter Davison, when asked about working with the other three Doctors. “It’s like any actor with another actor, really. When we meet up, it’s not for real. And we do put it on a bit.”
Colin Baker says: “And there’s probably an underlying rivalry that we don’t acknowledge – you know, he has that script and I don’t…”
“A shorthand between any group of people that work together is to be rude,” continues Peter.
“It’s a very British phenomenon, that. You insult your workmates,” says Colin, “and that means you like them! The people you don’t insult and have a go at are the ones that you actually don’t like, so you don’t want to get involved in anything with them. Of course we have a go at each other and take the mick. We’re all terribly disrespectful!”
…..
“Actually,” says Nicola Bryant, scanning through her next scene, “this makes a lot more sense than the last scene I was doing…”
“It isn’t supposed to make sense,” cries Gary Russell, poking his head out of the studio door. “The only bits that make sense are the bits that Alan Barnes wrote. All of my bits make no sense at all!”
Colin Baker says this: “I mean, Zagreus – it’s so labyrinthine and so clever, and, even though there are bits that I don’t understand, I know that I will understand them when I listen to it. It deals with huge issues about the nature of the Time Lords and their history and their future – entirely appropriate for a 40th anniversary.”
“It’s very weird,” says Paul. “That’s nice. It’s good when it’s weird.”
“It’s quite a milestone,” says Peter Davison, “I see no reason why it shouldn’t go on and on. I think it’s rather nice. I can’t think of many shows that have reached that milestone. And like anyone else, I want to know what happens next…or before…or alternatively…or as well. It fills in a lot of gaps.”
……
“I like the Doctor,” concludes Paul. “He wears his background, and he wears his solitude sometimes. He’s a little bit, for some people, hard to get to know, and definitely, for others, hard to get to like. There are the complexities there that we come across daily. But there is, of course, the hero aspect of him – from time to time. He’s the white knight. It goes in and out – he can be very, very good and very, very bad. I’d hate it if he were always the sword of truth and justice – a cleansing agent. It’d be boring. It’d just be boring. It’d be Borax, in fact, folks!
“It’ll be interesting to see what happens next…”

Rammstein Meet and Greet in Mexico City 10/02/22
Yesterday I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting four of the rammboys before their show in Mexico City and thought it’d be nice to share my experience (plus I’ll be able to reread and relive this every day for the rest of my life) ♥️
Get ready for a very long post:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oliver:
He was serious but very kind. He came, greeted me quietly, smiled a bit when he heard me greeting him in German, signed my book and then left before we could have our picture taken because Tom (their meet & greet assistant) got distracted by someone and forgot to take it. I have to admit that I freaked a bit about that cause I thought I had missed my opportunity but Tom noticed immediately and asked Oli to come back.
We shot the pic and then I moved to the side to let him pass through but instead of that he stepped really close to me (which ofc made me scream internally) and without saying a word, he took the book from my hands and started flipping through it, then he saw the cover with a really confused face, gave it back to me and left. That’s when I started wondering if the band actually know about the merch they sell cause he looked as if he didn’t know what that was.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flake:
He was so happy and cheerful the entire time. He greeted me in English and when I answered in German he gave me a huge smile and switched for the rest of our chat which went a bit like this:
(I handed him the book and he saw the pic I had chosen of him)
Flake: (laughing) „Das bin nicht ich!“ - That’s not me!
Me: „Was meinst du damit? Natürlich bist du das!“ - What do you mean? Of course that’s you!
Flake: (laughing even harder) „Nein, nein. Das gefällt mir nicht, das bin ich nicht“ - No, no. I don’t like that. That’s not me.
Me: „Wer ist es dann?“ - Who is it then?
Flake: (still laughing) „Ich weiß nicht, lass uns nach einem anderen Foto suchen“ - I don’t know, let’s look for another photo.
(We flipped through the pages until he saw one he actually liked)
Flake: „Sieh dir das an, das bin ich“ - Look at that one, that’s me.
(He signed it, we had our photo taken and then he started inspecting the book the same way Oli had)
Flake: (surprised) „Wo kauftest du es?“ - Where did you buy this?
Me: „In dem Rammstein Shop” - In the Rammstein shop
Flake: „Wirklich? Toll! Ich hatte es nicht gesehen! Sowieso, vielen Dank, viel Spaß bei der Show! - Really? Cool! I hadn’t seen it! Anyway, thank you so much, have fun at the show!
Me: „Vielen Dank!“ - Thank you!
Flake: (laughing as he walked away) „Aber das war nicht ich!“ - Still that wasn’t me!
Me: „Das bist du doch!“ - It is you!
After that I think someone asked him about the meaning of his nickname, to which he answered “Flake es flaquito” (“skinny” in Spanish)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Paul:
He arrived before Flake left and told him, wearing his usual cheeky grin, to speak Berlinerisch Deutsch with us. Then he greeted me in English and laughed really loud when he saw his pic on the book. I asked to hug him, to which he answered „Ja doch!“ (yes, of course!) and gave me a big nice hug (I wished that Tom had taken our photo in that moment but sadly didn’t). Then he wished me fun at the show and left.
After that, a girl showed him a photo of him and Richard kissing and asked him if they’d do it that night, he only laughed and said “We’ll see what happens”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Till:
We knew he was coming cause he almost kicked the wall to the ground before coming in. He was super nice the entire time, spoke to everyone in Spanish and joked around a lot. Once he came to me, I totally froze and couldn’t do more than greet him and show him his pic on the book. He noticed my reaction with a smile and was very kind about it, he signed my book and then I somehow managed to ask if I could hug him. He immediately embraced me super tight and then we had our photo taken.
After that I was about to let him go but he held me tighter and started growling loudly. That’s when I finally came to my senses, I looked up to him and laughed but in a second he had already picked me up and was dragging me out of the room. Everyone started screaming and I told him “you can take me with you if you want, I’d be happy to go” to which he laughed, gave me a peck in the head and let me go. Then he took my hand gently and led me back to the group. Finally he shook my hand, made a bow and said it was really nice to meet me.
The meet & greet ended shortly after that and we were led back to the stage area. It’s needless to say that it was the best day of my life.

No More Hiding - 3.7K
tw: suggestive themes (mention), humanising Beverly Keane, cheesy as heck, a lot of triple dots
What is it with priests on Crockett Island? Beverly thought, gravel crunching underneath her feet as she walked away from Saint Patrick’s church hastily. Bev Keane was a lot of things, but stupid wasn’t one of them - she was aware there was some funny business going on with the young priest who arrived on Crockett almost a year ago and that writer lady, but she could never be entirely sure. Until today, that is. Bev felt a fresh wave of anger as she remembered the scene she witnessed no more than ten minutes ago.
How could she have forgotten her bag? Bev shook her head at herself. She went home after wrapping up the daily mass on Saturday, and when she tried to reach into her handbag to pull out the keys to her home, she froze. There was nothing hanging on her shoulder. How did she not notice? In her head she suddenly saw the image of her bag, sitting on a table in the back of the church, entirely forgotten. With a sigh and an eye roll, Bev turned around and began walking towards Saint Patrick’s again.
She entered through the back door, and immediately saw her canvas bag, exactly where she’d left it. After grabbing it, Beverly was just about to go home again, but then:
A giggle.
A soft, feminine giggle sounded from the main room of Saint Patrick’s. Curious as to what’s going on there, The teacher crept towards the door leading to the front and put her hand against the handle. Very, very slowly, she pushed it and pulled the door open, just a little. She peeked out. The sight before her shook her to the core and Bev felt fury immediately settling in.
Sitting in a pew closest to the altar was Father Paul, still in his green chasuble, and next to him was (F/N)(L/N). Which, Beverly supposed, would be fine, if the priest (the PRIEST for goodness sake!) wasn’t currently pushing his tongue into her mouth and her hands weren’t messing up his raven hair. The teacher was frozen to the spot as she watched the two people exchanging passionate kisses, sometimes producing soft pleasured hums. What finally snapped Bev out of her shock was the sight of Father Paul’s hand settling on (F/N)’s knee, before pushing her skirt up as it moved forward onto her thigh.
Beverly pushed the door open all the way and coughed loudly. With malicious satisfaction she watched the couple practically jump away from each other and turn their heads in her direction, their eyes widening in horror. “B-Bev?!” yelped the priest, his face turning red, as did the young woman’s. “T-this- this isn’t what it looks like!” his hand, which left the girl’s thigh was now outstretched towards Beverly in a surrendering manner. Despite the furious storm within her, the teacher felt strangely calm as she took calculated steps towards the couple.
“Father, if you insist on indulging yourself in breaking your holy vows, it’d be nice if you had at least enough respect not to do so in God’s house,” she said, her voice cold as ice, her expression stony. The priest coughed: “Bev I-...W-we were just-” “ Don’t! Don’t… ” the teacher hissed and began walking off through the front of the church, clutching her bag in a vice grip. She shut the door with a bang.
Father Paul watched Beverly leave and winced as the old wooden doors banged shut. You then saw him wilt before your eyes. He put his elbows on his knees and placed his face in his hands. Your own hand found his shoulder and began stroking it, trying to comfort him, despite knowing that not even your touch would be able to comfort him now. Still, the priest leaned into your hand and soon raised his head to hide his face in your neck instead. You slowly stroked the hair at the nape of his neck.
“We’re screwed,” said Paul against your skin, his voice soft and tired. “Yeah,” you whispered back.
Bev’s idea of going home was long forgotten as she stalked across Crockett Island, glaring daggers at everyone who dared as much as acknowledge her, the teacher was seething with rage. What was it with priests on Crockett Island? She knew the old Monsignor Pruitt hadn’t exactly been celibate either, and that the island’s doctor Sarah Gunning had been the result. She found out during one of Monsignor’s episodes, when he’d weep softly and call for Mildred, apologising for not having been there for her. For their daughter.
Back then, she acknowledged this, not knowing how she felt about it. On one hand, the Monsignor went against his vows, sired a child who was then raised by a different man, and obviously never stopped lusting for said man’s wife. On the other hand, what was there to be done now? The Monsignor was old and frail, dementia claiming his mind little by little, and Mildred Gunning? Well, she was in no better state. George Gunning was long gone and Sarah was a grown woman, who grew up in a happy family with a loving mother and father, blissfully oblivious she was the illegitimate child of their local priest.
However, it was different now. God, Bev wished she hadn’t forgotten her bag in the morning. Suspecting something fishy is going on is better than actually knowing it - makes it easier to ignore. But now she knew. She knew Father Paul, a priest who was supposed to be Crockett Island’s spiritual leader, image of morality and virtue, was fornicating with a heathen, a faithless woman, who like a succubus seduced the holy man to sin.
Bev was already forming a plan in her head, a plan to inform the dioceses about the blasphemy happening right there in God’s house, if not to outright get the priest excommunicated, to at least stop this illicit affair. But then she heard a sound behind her, a girl’s high-pitched laughter. She turned around.
What she saw made her stop. It was Leeza Scarborough, laughing and squealing as she drove circles around Warren Flynn on his own bicycle. The youngest Flynn was looking at her fondly, his gaze filled with pride: “I told you you could do it!” Oh… Leeza regained the feeling in her legs during one of Father Paul’s sermons. Since then, she came out of her shell so much, yet she still remained a good, devoted Christian, never missing a single daily mass. She was smiling and laughing more, but still she prayed harder than anyone else. She even found it in her heart to forgive Joe Collie, the man who crippled her in the first place! Beverly would never!
Speaking of Joe Collie, Bev only now realised she was standing a short distance away from the general store, where said man was currently chatting up their Muslim sheriff. After Leeza forgave the town drunk, he… he actually stopped drinking. He began attending the AA sessions Father Paul started, along with Riley Flynn, and while Bev was sure he was bound to relapse, to her utmost surprise he actually stayed sober since then. He looked a little different, his clothes were cleaner, his hair and beard neater. He even started working again, on one of the fishing boats. He looked like he dropped a few pounds too. The biggest change was his face. He too was smiling more.
Bev bit her lip, deep in thought, reminiscing of the past year. Since Father Paul came to the Island, there was a change in atmosphere. After Leeza’s recovery, it was like a religious renaissance had happened. The church was usually nearly full on Sundays and more people started attending daily mass as well, Bev had to start ordering more than double the usual amount of communion wine and hosts, and even had to get some low-gluten wafers after several inquiries. Some of the people who moved away after the spill actually came back to their old homes, because the fishermen began returning from the sea with full nets of fish and crabs, just like they used to many years ago. The community was blooming.
The teacher looked around. In the gazebo of Crockett Island’s little park sat Riley Flynn with Erin Greene and her daughter… Their daughter, essentially. The child wasn’t Riley’s, yet he treated her as his own, loved her as his own blood. He moved into the Greene home and Annie even mentioned once that Erin was in the middle of divorcing her ‘nasty work of a husband’ so she could marry Riley instead, so they could become a proper family once and for all. The little girl, whom Riley Flynn was currently bouncing on his knee, had two godparents, and since only one of them had to be a practising catholic, it was Ed Flynn and the other was nobody else than (F/N)(L/N).
(F/N) had also started to help out in the school, taking upon herself some of Erin’s classes so the woman could focus on her little girl. The children actually really liked her. Bev would often hear laughter from the other classroom and most of the kids left it with a smile on their faces. When she wasn’t helping Erin, she was usually helping someone else, assisting Sturge in some maintenance work, helping Annie with inventory in the general store, even joining the Flynn men for a few fishing trips! Bev saw her once at the docks, and had to admit the young woman looked quite the natural in her work clothes.
Her previously malevolent intentions turned into conflicting thoughts. Beverly had to sit down. In a much slower pace, she finally walked home. Bev’s home wasn’t exactly filled with many decorations or personal effects. There were a few photos here and there, of her parents and her, when she was a little girl. There was a photo with Monsignor Pruitt, where she was bracing him by the arm, smiling into the camera. The older priest had his hand gently placed against hers, a kind smile on his own face. Bev rather missed the old man.
Despite the fact that the Monsignor too succumbed to the temptation of flesh, he never stopped being a good priest. And a good man. He never once refused to offer a helping hand, he was always ready to be of support. He was a rock for Beverly when she lost her parents, much too early. She could rely on him when she was all alone, when she had nobody else. Maybe that’s what really drove her to church so much… Most things in her house were of religious theme, verses were framed on her walls, there were crucifixes placed throughout the entire home, Bev only had records of gospel music laid by the old record player which belonged to her mother.
Beverly sat down in her armchair, the room so quiet  one could hear a pin drop. The truth was that Father Paul, despite his immoral indulgence in carnal desires, was still a good priest. He took care of his parish, took care of his flock. Always ready to help and provide support… just like the Monsignor.
And (F/N)? Beverly scoffed unhappily. As much as she wasn’t fond of the girl and the fact she seduced a holy man, she had to admit that (F/N) was… a part of Crockett Island now. She came when everyone else left, this was her home, and the people accepted her as their own. She was popular. Beverly was not, she was aware of that. She knew that most people only tolerated her because she played such a big part in the church, and because she taught their children. She didn’t have friends, or a family, but she had this. And that was good enough for her.
However, if she were to… if she were to report Father Paul Hill to the dioceses, if she managed to actually get him out of Crockett Island… She probably wouldn’t be tolerated anymore… No, Beverly would be hated . There was a big possibility the people would be more willing to accept an uncelibate priest whom they adored, rather than have this beloved priest taken away. And God knows who’d take his place then? If it came down to taking sides, Bev had no qualms that people would actually take hers and not Father Paul’s. She’d then drop lower than Joe Collie, who was slowly but surely gaining more sympathy ever since he became sober. She’d be the town pariah. Not Joe, not Riley, but Beverly .
She put her face into her hands. Was she going to actually ignore this? Was she really just going to let them continue committing sins? Then again… everyone sinned, didn’t they? To sin was human after all, and the heavenly father forgives all those who try to make amends. And Father Paul and (F/N)(L/N)... they made amends constantly by all the work they put into this small community… The teacher sighed deeply. She supposed she could try to just … ignore it. She didn’t agree with what they were doing, but she could ignore it, for the sake of everyone else… Speaking of everyone else, Beverly wondered who else knew of this little affair. Erin Greene? Possibly, her and (F/N) were joined at the hip. And if Erin knew, then Riley Flynn maybe knew as well. Who else?
It was decided then. Bev looked up and released another deep sigh. In a way, she felt… lighter? Calmer? What was with this feeling of acceptance? She should still be angry, she should be hating every moment she allows this to continue, but she just wasn’t. In a way, she was… content. It was better for Crockett Island if Father Paul stayed, and, well, Bev reluctantly supposed it was better if (F/N) stayed too. She didn’t even realise the corners of her lips were turning up slightly. Sighing for the last time, she got up from her chair and walked to the record player. Maybe there were still some of her mother's old records somewhere, Bev thought, maybe she could use some non-gospel music for a little change.
Any day now, you and Paul expected some nasty letter from the dioceses, or maybe a surprise visit from the bishop. Or a phone call, inquiring whether it was true that the priest was in a forbidden affair with a woman.. But nothing happened. You haven’t really discussed what would happen to your relationship, because the thought was too terrifying, but you became so much more careful about it. You didn’t dare to touch one another unless you were in the rectory or your house, doors locked and curtains closed. You wouldn’t hold each other’s hand during walks, you didn’t feel safe expressing any physical affection even in front of the friends who knew of your relationship.
It sucked, not being able to snuggle up to the priest when you were outside in the woods, definitely alone, but unwilling to take any risks. You missed his warmth, the smell of him when he held you close, you missed the stolen kisses. You wouldn't even go to the Uppards, even though you’d never be caught there, especially by Beverly. It sucked.
On the other hand, you learned how to show affection in public through other ways. Like a deep look into each other’s eyes and a single slow blink - like a quick peck on the lips. A smile and head slightly cocked to the side - an ‘I love you’. It wasn’t the real thing, but it was lovely nonetheless. A week passed, then two and… nothing. No letters, no phone calls, no visits. In fact, it was very quiet. The priest served his homilies as usual, Bev helped him as she always did. She talked to him and treated him the same as ever, as if she never caught the two of you, as if it had all been a bad dream.
Yet, the two of you remained cautious, always checking over your shoulder. By the third week, you were going mad. As you lay in your bed, mind for once calm and quiet after a tender lovemaking, with Paul drawing little patterns on your bare back with his fingertips, you suddenly spoke: “We should talk to her.” “Hm?” asked Paul, and turned his head a little to look at you. “To Bev,” you clarified. Paul sighed and closed his arms around you. “Why?” he asked finally. You adjusted yourself in his hold and rested your chin on his collarbone to look into his eyes: “Well, it’s been a while. If she told someone, the dioceses… they would’ve been here by now, wouldn’t they? Or call, at least? She’d be smug about it, I think. But she’s, you know… normal. Well Bev-normal anyway.”
Paul nodded and closed his eyes. “Hm… That’s going to be very uncomfortable,” he said at last. You pulled yourself up to press a kiss against his perfect mouth, making him smile softly. “Yeah… but we’ll face it together.”
It was… very very awkward. You were sitting on the uncomfortable metal chairs in the recreation centre, you and Paul next to each other, Beverly Keane opposite of you. You were so nervous. The priest grabbed your hand, which was gripping your knee painfully, in silent support. Bev frowned for a bit, but didn’t say anything. You took a deep breath, it was now or never. “Miss Keane, we wanted to talk to you about what you saw in Saint Patrick’s some time ago. There’s no point in lying. What you saw was exactly what it looked like, Father Paul and I, we… we’re lovers. And have for a long time.” Paul nodded next to you and squeezed your hand tighter.
Beverly nodded as well: “I’ve gathered as much. Why are we here?” You swallowed in nervousness and took a breath to answer, but Paul beat you to it: “You are a very devout woman, Beverly. I am breaking my vows. Yet, you still… help me in church, you treat the two of us the same… You didn’t tell anyone?” Bev’s eyes were piercing, you felt quite tiny under her scrutinising gaze. Finally, she looked down at her hands which were neatly folded in her lap: “No, I didn’t… Not really for your sake, though. I don’t approve of this. I didn’t tell anyone because… Crockett Island relies on you, Father. And, to a certain amount, on you as well (F/N)(L/N). I will keep quiet about this… However, you must know that if I… caught you, someone else will too, eventually. So you may, at the very least, attempt to be… decent.”
You bit your lip. Bev was right, it was only a matter of time before the relationship would be found out. But then again, you didn’t think there were that many people left to find out. Over the months, you received more and more knowing looks, from both friends and acquaintances. One time a woman named Betty, who ran the island’s teeny-tiny beauty salon and attended Sunday masses pulled you aside to tell you what a lucky woman you were, having a good looking man like that. In fact, the only person you were seriously hiding your love from was currently promising she’ll keep her mouth shut about it. It was nearly surreal.
After some more awkward and uncomfortable talking, during which you revealed to Beverly that your relationship began after the Easter vigil (by which she was surprised, since she suspected something was going on much earlier), you parted ways in a rather civil manner. As you left the rec centre, Paul took your hand in his right away, leading you to the woods for a stroll. You smiled and leaned into him, thankful to feel his warmth again.
Over the following weeks, you settled back into your routine, except you were way more relaxed. Someone saw you holding hands, or sharing an embrace and a kiss from time to time, but they never once commented on it. Well, most of the time. One time you pressed a kiss to Paul’s cheek when you thought you were alone, in front of the general store, just to hear a wolf-whistle behind you. “Knew it,” came Joe Collie’s voice, as he left the shop and walked away jovially, Pike following behind him with a wagging tail. “He didn’t know shit,” said sheriff Hassan, leaning against the doorframe, “I knew, though.” You stuck your tongue out at him, making Paul chuckle.
Hard to believe it had been a year already, you thought as you stood by the gazebo, a sooty cross drawn on your forehead. There were more people attending the Crock Pot Luck this year, as the town’s population grew slightly. You observed them fondly, feeling at peace. Feeling utterly home. One year ago exactly, you were sitting at one of the tables, sipping wine and chatting with Father Paul. Back then, you only ever allowed yourself to think of him in secret, today he lived in your mind rent-free and you were far from being mad about it.
Speaking of Father Paul, a pair of long arms wrapped themselves around your waist from behind and soft lips brushed against the back of your neck. You smiled and put your hands over his. He came around, keeping one arm around you and pulled you close for a real kiss. And what a kiss it was, sweet and passionate at the same time, and it filled your heart with utmost joy. When you pulled back, you noticed a number of people looking at the two of you. Some of them had a knowing expression and a smile on their faces, some were wide eyed, but said nothing. Others simply returned to minding their own business. Bev Keane was one of the latter. You smiled at your lover and he mirrored you.
“No more hiding, huh? You asked quietly. His smile grew: “No more hiding.” You stroked his smooth cheek. “The secrecy was kind of thrilling though,” you teased. The priest chuckled, “we can do a little bit of hiding, as a treat,” he promised. You giggled airily and pressed one more kiss to his lips before grabbing his hand and leading him to one of the tables.
No more hiding.
Hello again! Hope it wasn’t that horrible lol. You can check out this story and the entire series on AO3. Thank you for being patient with me <3

'Rising from the landscapes of Ireland, Barry Keoghan has now become a huge superstar in the land of Hollywood. His captivating performances, marked by raw intensity and an ability to inhabit diverse roles, have garnered him widespread acclaim. From across the Irish Sea, a number of acting powerhouses have established themselves as global icons.
Cillian Murphy’s captivating screen presence has helped make him a household name. His ability to command attention is unmatched by anyone else. Further, “All of Us Strangers” stars Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott are considered to be huge Irish actors as well. The possibility of these Irish stars sharing the screen together would be a pleasant surprise for fans. It seems like Keoghan, too, wants to see it happen.
Barry Keoghan Wants to Work With His Fellow Irish Superstars
Barry Keoghan recently spoke to Vanity Fair in their 2024 Hollywood Issue on a number of topics. This also included his thoughts of fellow Irishmen who have taken the world by storm with their acting credits. When he was asked about young male stars emerging in Hollywood, he said “We’re quite supporting of each another. Andrew and Paul, they’re killing it as and well and representing Ireland”.
The Interviewer then mentioned fellow Irish superstars who were doing great in Hollywood including Keoghan, Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, and Cillian Murphy.
“It’s nice to be in that company. You know, the Irish – when they’re away, they stick to one another. There’s this kind of language and this energy, that sometimes we don’t even finish our sentences. It’s just like “Eh! Oh! Yer! Eh? Short look! Yeh?” That’s it.
And it’s great to see fecking Cillian Killing it as well. I love that man. I really do. It’s a great group of lads, do ypu know what I mean? It’d be good to get us all in one big fecking movie, wouldn’t it?” - Barry Keoghan speaking to Vanity Fair
Cillian Murphy and Barry Keoghan have worked together in Dunkirk (2017), while Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott shared the screen in All of Us Strangers (2023). However, the four actors are yet to work together on a project...'

Heyy just saw your old post about a theory that you have about how the season two of transatlantic would go. Can you please please pleaseeee post it ???????
Ok if it'll all post here's what I have:
This is not the most in-depth and doesn’t really go into new characters, sub-plots, or antagonists cause I just wrote down some thought in my notes app. It’s not very fleshed out and I might go back in and actually make it interesting but this is only about the main characters (or other little things I thought of) and how they get back together (if this was everything the show would be very boring). If I were to keep writing I would (obviously) add more characters and plots and such and maybe change some of my choices but this is what I thought of for now (also I would love to go back in tbh cause I haven’t really outlined a tv show before only movies and I think it would be fun, and it calls for more short plots rather than longer ones so i think it’d be a fun challenge).
Recap (and headcannons): The war just ended. MJ is married (or soon to be) to a rich guy in Chicago. Varian lives with but is divorced from Eileen in NY and owns a house they keep refugees in until they can figure something out. Thomas has a house in France he is keeping refugees in it as well. Albert just got out of Auschwitz and went back to Thomas’ villa. Paul is in his home country with his mother. Paul’s revolutionary friends are in France too and have been working against the war, somewhat with Thomas/Varian and somewhat on their own. Lisa and Hans live in Varian’s refugee house and are figuring out their relationship and lives. MJ thinks Albert is dead. Varian and Thomas have kinda sorta plans to be together somewhere after the war but NY is too dangerous and they have to put the refugees before themselves. They talk occasionally.
Season 2 basis: Ok so it starts right after the liberation of the camps and starts off following Albert trying to figure out where to go and where his sister is. He starts off for Lisbon to figure out what became of Ursula. He sends a message to Varian in NY (he knows his address cause he was using it to house refugees and he doesn’t know where anyone else ended up) and Varian calls/sends a letter to MJ to tell her about Albert’s letter. She almost immediately gets on her plane to NY (without her husband) to help out and get Albert into the US. (The home base for this season is Eileen and Varian’s waterside house in NY and Eileen is in this season cause I think there’s stuff to explore with her character). MJ is the only one Thomas is in regular communication with because of her funding, and (without telling Varian heheh) she lets him know she’s going to NY and basically tells him to come too because he’s being a little bitch about letting Varian get away (/lovingly).
Like half the season (a little less, I’m thinking two and a half episodes) is spent getting Albert into the US because they aren’t really letting anyone in (his visa would have expired at the end of the year since he didn’t collect it i’m pretty sure). Thomas also has trouble getting into the US since he is German (i think???). I want Paul back in the season but I can’t really figure out why he would come for rehousing American refugees so I’ll have to think more about why he would be relevant. I do think a plot for him just at home (in Africa) would be a nice change of scenery but I don’t know yet how it’ll tie in so I’ll get back to that one. For some reason (idk yet) MJ’s husband comes to NY. He is kinda sorta gay and kinda sorta totally into Varian and kisses him at the end of one of the episodes (it’s at the end cause cliffhangers and such). Pretty early in the next episode (probably ep 3, maybe ep 4 if I can figure out something interesting for Albert to be doing in Europe before he comes to America cause otherwise 4 episodes would be a long time for him to be “trying to get in” (and I want Albert to come after Thomas cause I want getting Albert into the US to be a pretty big plot point since it’s a catalyst for the season)) Thomas arrives (as a surprise to Varian) on a work visa from… somewhere (not sure where but he got it from his “connections” and I want it to be important for later). Anyway there’s a tad of drama there but ofc Varian and Thomas are together because duh.
Anyway Varian tells MJ about the kiss (if he builds up the courage, otherwise she’ll find out some other way cause idk if Varian would be brave enough to actually say that a man kissed him, and that it was her husband) and MJ is like wtf but also kinda loves Albert way more than this guy so eh. FYI the dynamic around what people know about Varian and Thomas is that they basically act like a couple but don’t really kiss in front of people and no one really talks about it (but maybe Varian and MJ talking about it will be a thing a little later on). She doesn’t confront her husband or anything yet because her marriage to him is important for funding their whole thing but she keeps it in her back pocket. They’ve been trying to get Albert a visa but it hasn’t been going very well. MJ and Albert eventually decide/realize that if they go through with getting married Albert could get another visa and come to America. They get him a nonimmigrant fiancé visa and he comes to NY (end of episode 4 at the latest I think). So, everyone is in NY (except Paul but I need more time to figure him out). I think episode 4 is kind of late for everyone to be all together, but I think if it’s done right the home base in NY can be set up as home base without everyone being there as long as enough time is spent there and such.
I solidly want all of the next episode to have a little bit of a running gag of Albert just learning a whole bunch of stuff. Like, I want the whole season to be funnier than season 1 (cause i’m a comedy girlie) but very specifically I want Albert to be in a constant state of what the fuck. With stuff like, for example, (obviously) MJ’s husband, Varian and Thomas’ relationship (which literally everyone knows about but I choose to believe that Albert is just so unobservant that he just didn’t notice), there’ll be at least one new character with something a little crazy going on, if I can figure out Paul and Lisa somehow then their relationship, lots of little American things (like sales tax and stuff), etc etc (this is not to downplay how smart and important Albert is, he’s very very intelligent I just also think it’s funny that he also can be very socially unobservant). Anyway so MJ and Albert have a time crunch to get married but she’s already married so technically she’s not allowed to be engaged to Albert so his visa is technically invalid and obviously there’s some antagonist who gets very close to figuring all this out and getting rid of Albert (or something like that) but of course that doesn’t happen somehow. Ok I got a little lazy at the end there but you get the idea.
At the end: Albert and Mary Jayne stay in New York without her trust fund and start a new life. Varian and Thomas do the same in a little house in France where they won’t be bothered or arrested (because this is an idealized world and stfu). I have no idea how Lisa and Hans and Paul’s stories will end yet, but Lisa and Hans will most likely stay in New York whether they’re together or not because why would they go back to Europe, or if Lisa and Paul end up together, maybe they’ll be in Africa. Idk there’s gonna be a pretty long subplot about the three of them and who knows, maybe I’ll kill of Hans just cause I love romance.
That’s all I’ve figured out for now. I have some ideas for Mary Jayne’s husband, Eileen, Lisa/Hans/Paul dynamic, and Thomas/his job, but i’m horribly indecisive and the point of this was really to flesh out the main characters and their relationships and such and to get a general idea of a plot to give myself peace of mind (accomplished). Note that last time I did this for something I made a scene by scene description of everything that happens (sometimes even writing down the individual camera shots for certain things) so if my ADHD wants me to/lets me, I will do something similar for this (probably not as detailed because that was a movie and a TV show is much longer but I would at least decide on side characters and sub plots and the events of the rest of the series).
Yes, this is more romance focused because I made it with my ideas for how I want it to go and I’m a romance girlie, what can I say? No but for real, I love romance and just wanted to flesh out these romances a tad and give them happy endings cause it makes me happy. Think whatever you want about my decisions, they’re just what I think for today (hell I might change my mind tomorrow) and I am open to hearing other opinions, as long as they are given with the understanding that mine are also valid (be kind <3). I wanted more of a romance story so I wrote one, simple as that. Okie anywho these are my ideas <33333
Also sorry for any typos I really don't want to re-read this rn

Valentine's Week Fluff Day Four: Engie/Pyro - 'Til Death do us Part
Day four of @dontneedadispenser Valentine's event.
~
“… in sickness and in health, ‘till death to us part,” Engie finished reading out their proposed vows. “That sound good to you?”
Pyro nodded. Coming up with what they wanted their vows to contain had proven to be easier than he’d thought it’d be. The hard part had been making them concise will also doing their combined best attempt to make them sound at least somewhat poetic. Neither of them were poets so maybe it wasn’t great in that regard but this third draft sounded good to him. Though, probably Engie’s voice being nice to listen to contributed to that.
Engie placed the paper and pen back down the table between them. “All right, guess that means we just gotta get this typed up, make a copy of it, and then pick out what we’re gonna wear and we’ll be good to go. We still got some time though so we might wanna sit on this for another couple days before deciding for sure.”
“Not a lot of time.” The wedding was less than two weeks away. They’d started planning it a couple months ago. Which even if that was far less time than weddings apparently usually took to plan, had still felt like plenty of time. Now though it very much didn’t. That time had gone be so fast and what little time there was left didn’t feel like much at all. Not that that was a bad thing.
“True, true.” Engie nodded as he leaned back in his chair.
Their important business done for now, Pyro shifted in his chair too, looking around the room a little. Once just his room but it was closest to Engie’s workshop – not by a whole but still enough to make the walk there and back a little faster – so he’d partially moved in a while ago and then recently, upon their engagement, officially moved in. So now it was their room even if it still felt weird to think of it that way. Things had been going fast lately. Not a bad thing but… “You nervous?” Pyro certainly was.
“A bit, yeah, I suppose. Excited too though. You sure you wanna show your face to the whole team during it? I mean, there’s already a lot going on, you don’t gotta take that step too. You’re not obligated to do anything just ‘cause tradition says you gotta. I don’t mind kissing the gas mask. Or you could wear a balaclava like Spy’s got.”
“No, I’m sure.” He’d thought about it shortly after Engie had proposed but had only mentioned the idea last night, saying he wanted to do it even though he hadn’t been sure yet. He was now though. It was a special occasion and he wanted his friends to see his face at some point anyway. It was already going to be just the nine of them and Miss Pauling who was marrying them so it’d be the perfect place to do such a thing.
“Welp, I suppose then I’ll just have to come to terms with the fact that I’ll no longer be the only one who knows how handsome your face is.”
No matter how many times Engie complimented his appearance, Pyro somehow still hadn’t grown used to it as it still made him feel warm and special inside. Seems he would have the rest of their lives to get used to it though, if he ever did. He looked forward to it.

Ransom's Redemption (A Chris Evans Fanfic), Chapter 19: The Offer (Ransom POV)
Tumblr media
Evince: to reveal the presence of (a quality or feeling); to reveal.
"What's an Evince?" I asked.
"It's a new fragrance that is gaining traction," Paul explained. "and they want you for the ads!"
"Paul--"
"Good money," Paul presses. "Good money!"
"But--"
"Calida is your opposite."
I stood in shock, much like I am now watching Mimi look over the contract on a computer screen.
She exhales, pushing her glasses up. "It's impressive."
I didn't like that kind of reply from Mimi. It means she is trying to not say something, like she is hiding something. "It's alot of money, Mimi, alot."
"But it's in New York."
"Yeah, my parole officer is working on that," I shrug. "It seems that all I have to do is wear a damn tracer, but for the money?" I watch her. "What's wrong?"
"And Calida Ortiz is on this?" she asks, not looking at me, but at the offer on the computer screen.
Tumblr media
I sigh. Calida and I were pretty hot and heavy at one time. I was into her. She was beautiful, smart, worked against animal cruelty. And damned if she wasn't a freak! Ah, she loved love, being passionate and in the moment, the perfect muse for any artist, really. Every time we got in each other's space, sparks flew, which is why Paul suggested her.
"She's an old friend of Paul's--"
"And yours." It was a statement.
I force a small laugh. "That was a long time ago."
"Not really."
Tumblr media
"Come on, you don't think--"
"I didn't say anything."
I blink. Her whole mood was changing. "You don't think she'd be interested in me, do you?" I laugh. "Come on, I'm an ex-con--"
"Oh, so that means I was a second or third choice?"
Her glistening eyes give me a sense of dread. "We've always been close, Mimi. Things changed over time." I kiss her hand and look into her eyes.
She gives me a small smile, but I can see a tinge of sadness in them. "If they can make it happen, you should go."
"Really?"
"Yes, yes--"
I smother her with kisses. "We can go--"
"I can stay home."
I freeze. "What?"
"You won't be gone long, right?" she asks with a shrug. "besides, I should stay here and look after things."
My heart winces. She isn't sure of me. Why? And why let me go?
"You've been a good boy," She says as if she heard my thoughts. "Time for a pass."
I laugh humorlessly. "I'm not in the military."
"You've been in prison," she points out. "and you don't want to go back, I get that."
"Where is this coming from?" I grab her arms to turn her and maker her face me, and I swallow hard. She is hurting me. No I don’t want to go back, that’s true, but marrying her was a different decision. I’d always loved her; it just deepened. “don’t do this, Mimi.”
“Do what?”
“What you’re doing,” I shake my head at her. “What you’re thinking!”
“What?” she whispers.
“I love you.” I feel her rigid stance begin to relax. “Baby?” I stand there, searching her eyes, waiting for an answer.
She closes the distance between us, her cheek against my chest as she squeezes me tight. “I’m sorry…hormones. I’m just all over the place today.”
"We've been married a month or two, and truthfully, I haven't taken you anywhere."
"We're busy," she gives a slight frown with a careless shrug. She looks up at me with a bright smile. "And I've enjoyed staying in with you. And, there isn't much I can do."
I remember that Mimi loves to ice skate at the Frog Pond, and the doctor said no to it. “Get dressed, sweetheart, we’re going out.”
Tumblr media
I make a few calls and take her to the Lookout Rooftop Bar on top of the Envoy Hotel. I’d been wanting to try the place; it opened the same year I went to prison.
“You like?” I ask, though I can tell by her expression she loved it.
“I like,” she smiles widely. “This is magical! And the view—” She shakes her head. “Great idea, Ransom.”
“Think everybody would like to come here?” I ask her. “For a party?”
“I think it’d be fun.”
I watch her from across the table, and take her hand. “It’s nice to just be out.”
She smiles in such a way that makes me lean over the table and kiss her.
“We can come here every month, if you’d like.”
“We should try different places, don’t you think?” she asks with a smile. “It’s like a monthly adventure. We can go to activities, too.” She chuckles. “Well, events.”
“Okay, it’s a date,” I nod with a grin, and she chuckles happily.
The weather is still sort of mild, so we opt for outside fun. We hop a cab to Columbus Park and walk to the Frog Pond where they are skating.
(208) Skaters At Frog Pond In Boston Common 2 - YouTube
youtube
I watch her watch the skaters. “Remember when we snuck here when we were in high school?”
“Yeah, I was grounded,” I chuckle. “You kept telling me that we were going to get in trouble.”
“We did get in trouble.”
“But, oh—”
“It was worth it!” we both laugh out loud.
“We skated, hit Mickey D’s, got cocoa from Dunkin,” I shake my head. “We had so much fun that night! We even went to the movies!”
“Had to do it,” Mimi shrugs. “You and Fiona had broken up again, and this time it was bad—”
I roll my eyes. “Uh, Grant Halsted bad.”
“God, Grant Halsted,” she shakes her head. “That guy could get under your skin.”
“Fiona and I were steady, so—well, as steady as we could be in high school.” I laugh at the memory. “That’s when I knew I’d never marry her.”
“Why?”
“She played too many games,” I shrug. “I realized that we could never be serious.” I smile at her. “I got grounded after getting into a fight with that guy, and you called.”
“After hearing about the fight, yeah,” She nods. “and I decided you needed a night out. So I took you out on a school night, and we were out past curfew. Bang, I’m grounded and you’re like…double grounded!” She laughed.
“I almost kissed you that night.”
Her mirth was replaced with surprise. “Really?”
“Yeah,” I shrug. “but I didn’t want it to be like that, not with you, Mimi, not with you.” I take her hand and lead her along, reminiscing about all the times we had as we leave the Commons. We catch a cab back to our car by the Envoy, and I stop her at the Seaport Christmas Tree.
“What?”
Tumblr media
I pull out my trusty cell and find the song.
“Ransom,” she breathes, her eyes glistening in the lights.
I bow and offer my hand, and she steps into my arms. I close mine around her and we rock, oblivious to everyone.
“Mimi?”
“Hmm?”
“I was thinking—”
“Dangerous, past time, honey.” She is relaxed now.
I laugh nervously. “You know that picture we took on our wedding day by the grand staircase?”
“Mmm-hmm.”
“Why don’t we use that for our Christmas postcards?” I ask. “I mean, we—” I am cut off by the loudest squeal, and she puts her arms around my neck to hug me hard.
“That’s so—so—” she stops to kiss me, and I melt. She could do that to me. I could smell her tears. Pregnancy hormones? “Hey, you cryin’?”
“I’m just being silly,” she laughs, pulling away to wipe a few stray tears. “Mmmh!” she hugs me again, making her laugh. “I love you.”
Her whispered admission makes my heart flutter. “And I love you, baby.” We sigh together and keep rocking. And then I realize: I don’t know what to get her for Christmas, and it’s two weeks away.

thoughts after seeing the first two episodes of interview with the vampire (having not read the books and only seen the start of the film)
so. first off. i am fucking in love with making it so daniel and louis first met at a gay club, as well as louis openly referring to himself (both in the past and present) as “homosexual” and “queer”.
and daniel being a mostly washed up reporter struggling with parkinsons? and that they did previously meet (presumably the encounter depicted in the books) but now they’re going back over it because louis and daniel both think it was shitty and daniel is determined to get to the bottom of it?
those are some fascinating choices, right up there with making louis a black gay man in the 1910s as opposed to a pre-civil war slaver, and i feel like they really change the undertones of why louis is telling this story, and why daniel is willing to do it again. it also makes the whole past interview ending with daniel begging to be turned so heartwrenching - instead of immortality, daniel is now facing down one of the worst ends to mortality, and that’s just such a bitter pill to swallow. i wonder if daniel is going to ask to be turned again, and whether louis would agree given daniel’s condition
i also love how interesting the side characters are - whether it’s lily, paul, or grace, they’re excellent at making you feel for the mortal characters who are left behind (or straight up murdered) while louis embraces his life with lestat. and god, i am absolutely wondering if lestat used his telepathy to make paul kill himself, just because it’d be so in keeping with him killing lily (arguably the closest person to a friend that louis has) and him later killing louis’ two parish priests.
i’m also really curious about louis’ servant in the modern day, and what relationship he actually has to louis. louis clearly trusts him a lot since he’s there for daniel’s whole first meeting with him, but he’s so hard to get a grasp on, it’s fascinating.
lestat, strangely, is obviously so central, and it is nice to see how ridiculously romantic the two of them get together (aside from lestat’s penchant for emotional abuse), but i feel like i don’t have much to say about him?
having seen the trailer and knowing about claudia from summaries of the books and the film, it’s interesting to see how he reacts to louis’ grief over not being able to have a family of his own, especially since lestat doesn’t seem to even contemplate or mention children beforehand. i know he says louis is the only person preventing him from feeling so completely lonely, and that he’s never met anyone like louis, but given how unpredictably lestat’s affection for louis seems to mix with his ability for manipulation, i’m not entirely sure how much i can take that at face value.
also, to circle back to the modern day segments a bit - given that the books do have quite important sections that take place after louis’ original interview with daniel, i’m quite interested to see how they deal with that. i’m not sure how louis mentioning vampires turning people left, right and centre fits into those later events as my understanding of later books is pretty vague (but i’m sure book fans have already figured that out), and whether that means louis will recount the events of later books as well or just focus on the events he originally told, but it’s going to be interesting either way

Would you rather:
1. Have dinner with Matty or have sex with Travis?
2. Sleep with Paul Mescal or with that one tall guy Josh’s sister married that you said you wanted to climb?
3. Have to listen to Jack talking about an uninteresting part of scottish history for 10 hours or have a 2 hour conversation with Joe about his privilege where he doesn’t understand how privileged he is?
4. Have Saoirse tell you who she was talking about when she said she made an excuse to leave or have Taylor confirm if she’s the tangerine?
5. See a conversation between Joe and Travis or a conversation between Taylor and Kayla?
6. Find out exactly what Joe is into in bed but you have to experience all of it or find out exactly what Jack is into in bed but you have to experience all of it?
7. Have Saoirse never be in a movie again or have Joe never be in a movie again?
8. Have a threesome with Olivia Wilde and Matty Healy or a threesome with Karlie and Josh?
I wanted these to be weird and random, and I wanted to come up with more but I’m busy now. I might try to think of some more later
sex with Travis because it’d be a new experience at least and I feel like I’ve spent time with Mattys (never fucked one because I have some minimal taste but I did a humanities postgrad like come tf on we knew dudes in bands and ergo we knew Mattys).
sleep with Paul Mescal, the tall guy is marriage material lol we make it straight to the chuppah and make my grandparents happy.
the Scottish history thing because I actually don’t know that much about Scottish history and there’s no such thing as uninteresting/boring history to me because I’m a nerd.
the saoirse thing because I know Taylor’s the tangerine who tf else would it be lol
5. Joe and Travis lmao wtf would they talk about? Kayla and Taylor would imo just be very nice and complimentary - girls imo can get along with almost any other girl for 10 minutes like just tell her you like her shoes and ask where she got them and then that’s your 10 minutes like you’ll find stuff to say idk hence bar bathroom convos s/o to all the girls I’ve talked to in those and hope they’re all doing well - but I literally can’t imagine what Joe and Travis would have to say to one another.
6. the Joe thing because I don’t trust Jack not to be very weird and my one like dom-esque experience with a guy was not enjoyable at all for me so like I’d rather just idk do whatever shit Joe’s into because I can’t imagine it’s that odd. Jack’s might be and I am not willing to take the risk in a would you rather like I’d probably rather spend my life with Jack than Joe but if it’s a “all the stuff you’re into in one go” situation I’ll stick with Joe.
7. Fuck Joe lol - I’ve been a huge fan of Saoirse since her and I were like 13 dude this isn’t even a question. I want her to keep working (when she wants and how she wants tho).
8. Yk I thought I’d have to think harder about this but then I realized threesome with Olivia Wilde and literally anyone ever is worth it so Olivia and Matty 1000000%. You could say Olivia and Steve Buscemi and I’d still choose that. Also Olivia x Matty threesome sounds interesting if not always enjoyable and Joshlie threesome sounds very boring and quite terrible really.

Struggle
I don’t entirely know how to title this entry.  Because these are sensitive things that it’d need an explanation.
Before typing, I thought about a few things, and I’ve forgotten most of them.
Social studies is something I approached, a lot of my social media is social studies, and through this venue, I listen to podcasts, sermons, and kinda’ figure out the flaws of society.
I grew up in the church, I even ended up with Charles Price ministry.  And thru the years, thru listening to sermons, I kinda’ examined myself to figure out why I was having these behaviours? And I had to change a lot.
Am blogging basically, because I want to share my Biblical knowledge, something that influenced me thru Charles Price sermon.
It’s tempting to say that church is like a business.  And I noticed that every Christian just wants to be happy.
Christians are being led to a community, because it sounds good, and that you’re going to have a social life over it.
But if you look at characters in the Bible all the way to the book of Genesis, it wasn’t entirely a relaxing, and resorted ways.
People suffered in the Bible.  And even in the book of James, first verse of it will say, “Consider it pure joy if you go thru various trials and tribulations...”
Hardships are the sauce in life, it’s boring if there are no events, or challenges.
Like I can see this in my health, because a lot of times am bored, and I would say, “There’s nothing to do in life.”
But when God allows that health problem, personal realities all change.
But modern church doesn’t accept that, modern church want prosperity to finance, and health.
Again, I learned this from the Price’s, and the blessing in the Old Testament was livestocks, and gold.  Like King Solomon was earning three billion dollars a year (US conversion).  But in the New Testament, you don’t see apostle Paul with grandeur...  And again, thru the Price’s, God used trials and tribulations to bless individuals, and that’s why James 1:1 was written.  Because what makes a church thrive, at least the early churches, is oppression.
But if you just want to have a good time, you’ll actually struggle more than have a sober thinking that there are people who are against Christianity.
And this anti-Christ set of people are the ones who need prayers.  Because I have talked to a non-Christian people, and I was surprised how knowledgeable they are with the Word.  One lady asked me, how do you exactly be born again?  What is born again?  Pun.
But these are questions that are serious for answers, half the chance, I don’t even know the correct answer for it.
What I noticed with big churches is that you have to have these luxurious look.  “You’re blessed if your along luxury.”
But reality is that, we all have health problems, we’re all poor financially, and we basically have uncertain futures.
Again, thru Charles, I learned that Jesus was poor.
If I have to include myself, because I do feel that certain people may take my two cents out of this.
Am a tired person, and that’s because I engage in a lot of activities, like this blogging thing is not easy, I need sleep after this, or something.
It’s gotten to be a business, and quite frankly, I don’t know where this business is going to take you.  And that’s basically the movement, because it’s not going to be prosperous, we literally have to save our money in this country, ‘cos Canada is poor.
But we’re led to think that the Canadian Dream is everything, so we work hard to purchase nice cars, vacations, and the whole nine.
Am forty three years old, and I noticed that we always run to the same problems.  And I don’t know if people are bored, but when you’re struggling in life, here is basically your anecdote.
The pandemic exposed a lot of people, because there were a lot of fake riches prior to it.
And now that the financial world are in disarray, how do you answer it?

ok, thoughts on the new doctor who episode now i’ve had time 2 let it sink in a bit!! 🥳
first of all, that was fucking brilliant!! definitely the most i’ve enjoyed a new doctor who episode in a while, and i’m so glad jodie got to have a good send off, apart from some wonky writing i’ve rly enjoyed her portrayal of the doctor, and it’s what she deserves 🥹
but it’s hard to say that without also saying that it’s frustrating in a way, cos it goes to show that chris chibnall rly Can write good doctor who.. so it’s a shame i haven’t enjoyed all the rest of his era that much, like it could have been So good if it was all on that level!! like, i haven’t Hated this era, but it’s just disappointing how it didn’t all fully live up to it’s potential 😔
but onto the good stuff: first off, dan’s departure was done v well, it felt v realistic for him to leave after that, and i suppose it was never gonna be the biggest thing in the world cos he hadn’t been a companion for long 😅
altho one more negative, again, dan’s departure after just a few episodes did So much more for me than when ryan and graham left, and they’d been companions for 2 whole series?? like their departure was just.. so flat to me, and even after 2 series i still didn’t feel emotionally connected to them all that much 😬 but yeah, ugh, that’s not rly got much 2 do w/ this episode 😭
ace and tegan’s return was handled rly well, and it was great to see them back!! i was a bit worried like, with So many characters in this episode that it’d feel too bloated and messy (like some of the other episodes this era w/ too many characters in 😅) but no, it worked well, and was all i could ask for!!
storywise, it was Incredibly fun, which is what i want most from doctor who, and also well paced imo, much better than some of the frenetic flux episodes, and the trainwreck of “legend of the sea devils” 😭
the master was fantastic, as he has been in all his episodes, sacha dhawan was Genius casting and i hope we get to see his master again someday
peter davison, colin baker and sylvester mccoy returned was leaked months ago, so i wasn’t surprised by their return, but it was still a joy to see them back, especially w/ 5’s interaction with tegan, and 7’s with ace 🥺
david bradley returning as the 1st doctor was a surprise tho, and so was fucking PAUL MCGANN??! 🤯 i will Never not want more of 8 🥹
the only one minor criticism i do have is the doctor’s death wasn’t.. anything especially special?? 😅 i’m not even fully sure what happened, the master had a remote control that.. turned the laser to blast at her i guess?? but still, not that much of a biggie 🤔
yaz’s final scene with the doctor rly hit the mark too 🥺 i wasn’t sure exactly how they were gonna get her to leave satisfactorily?? but nope, that did it!! and it’s always open for her to return one day, which is nice 😌
it was also nice seeing graham again, even if i didn’t enjoy his departure before that much!! and his scene w/ ace and the psychic paper in the volcano was gr8, they had a surprisingly good dynamic in that little scene 😭
i wonder where ryan was tho?? i thought he was rumoured to be in it too, but nope, not in it at all?? 😧 i wonder if tosin cole was just unavailable or s/t??
and that support group scene!!!! mel!! jo grant!! ian chesterton!!!!! fantastic they finally managed to get william russell back, considering he’s 97 now 🥹 obviously a little fanservicey cameo fest there, but it’s still always so nice to see classic who companions back again 🤧
so finally.. the regeneration into tennant?! 🤯 i called it about 7 months ago, when it was first rumoured david tennant was returning that it was gonna end with “what?? what?! WHAT??!” 😅 but what’s interesting to note is that after the episode aired, the bbc posted an article saying he’s actually gonna be The 14th doctor, and ncuti gatwa will be the 15th?? 😧 so that’s a surprising development, i’d assumed ncuti was gonna be the 14th, and david was just gonna be like, an unnumbered doctor, just around for the specials?? but then it looks like ncuti is gonna be in the specials too so..?? lots to think abt there 😳 just a shame they’re so fucking long away, i was hoping there’d still be a christmas/new year special, and the other 2 specials would then be spaced out over 2023 😔
and.. that’s abt all i think, or at least all i can think of rn?? might add more if i think of anything else, but all in all, rly enjoyable and a gr8 final episode for 13, which i’m rly happy abt!! 🥰
