I mentioned this on Twitter already, but I love how no one makes fun of Donnie for freaking out and using his algorithm in this scene.

A lesser film would have someone make a joke at Donnie's expense, but that doesn't happen. Instead, they let him have his moment and, even though Splinter does end up interrupting him (they do have to get a move on and save Raph, after all), no one is frustrated or exasperated with him.

They all have fond looks on their faces - like they're saying, "Yep, that's our Donnie." They never bully Donnie for his idiosyncrasies in Rise and I love the show all the more for it.

A project from my portfolio for college application. Character designs + storyboard of a fight scene b/w them + a still frame (very rushed) from the opening scene. The story is set during the Republican era of China. It’s about a boy from a poor village, who makes a living as a demon hunter, who is hired to kill a fox spirit disguised as an opera performer, unaware of the fact that she is actually a protector spirit of his village. My idea is that the village is terrorized by a mob, who owns the theatre the fox spirit works at. The fox is there because she’s waiting for a chance to assassinate the mob leader. I guess the mob leader knew so he hired the demon hunter? Idk it kinda doesn’t make sense lol

Ok no one asked but I've been tempted to make Jackie and Olivia stalien designs since I've been working on some new icons for the eternal gales stalien kiddos and it's been making me also think abt how disastrous it would be if they were in the same stalien society that the main cast are from because dear god would they either die instantly or make things so much worse.
