My "hot takes" about RDR2:
All the characters are well written, complex and well played. But that doesn't mean I need to like every one of them or defend them.
We all love John because of own bias (thanks to RDR1). His only redeemable point is after the end of the Epilogue. This man was irresponsible, a deadbeat, didn't listen to Abigail even at the end and caused his own death, leaving Abigail and Jack alone.
Abigail, Mary-Beth, Karen, Tilly and Sadie are the best women in the whole game and I will always stand up for them. Abigail fought for her son with teeth and nails, she always did her best for the ones she loved. Mary-Beth, Karen and Tilly were soulmates, who always defended each other and had each other's back all the time. They stood up for themselves many many times and were a girls girl. Being there for Abigail all the time when Jack was kidnapped and trying to pull Karen out of the hole she was burying herself. And of course, Sadie was a strong woman. She didn't just devote herself to avenge her late husband, but she devoted her time to stand up and move on. She was loyal to Arthur and such a good friend to Abigail, John and Charles. Her loyalty carried the love she felt even when the people she loved died.
Which also brings me to: I will always defend Molly! She abandoned everything she was and had for a narcissist that stole her youth and will to live. She tried to salvage her broken "relationship" in every way she could, always receiving the bad hand of Dutch's attitude. In the end, dying trying to show her feelings that were constantly dismissed. Molly deserved better.
Susan Grimshaw wasn't a bad woman, she lived for the well being of the gang and loyalty to Dutch. She was hard and cold, but because she learned that was the only way for survival. She died being loyal to the Van Der Linde gang. She died siding with Arthur and John.
Reverend Swanson was a sick man. Addiction is a disease! I will always love that man and defend him. And in the end, he also reached his redemption.
Hosea was the glue that kept everyone together, the gang only existed for so long and succeeded because of him. Until Dutch's ego talked louder and louder, putting everyone in such a fragile position that ended up taking his own life.
No, Dutch didn't get crazy. Dutch was always a narcissist and didn't want to carry the responsibility of his actions, always blaming everyone and pointing fingers around trying to frame someone for the downfall of the gang. For him to be happy and satisfied, you had to side with him and his decision no matter how crazy they were. Micah was just a mirror for his own actions to come to life. Making Arthur and John question if that was a "new Dutch" or if he was already like that. And don't make me even talk about how this man became a whole rap!st in RDR1.
Mary is a complex character and necessary for Arthur's growth. But, Mary is just a rich woman from the 1800s. The way she treated the other girls from the gang with such disdain, treating them like they were inferior? Fuck you, girl. She was always a red flag for me for the simple fact that Karen, Mary-Beth and Tilly didn't like her at all. Only Abigail talking positive about her once. And no, I don't care that she "used Arthur" lmao That part is extremely important to Arthur's path of redemption, so get over that already (to all the annoying men in the fandom).
Charles, Lenny and Kieran are literal angels. Victims of their circumstances but acted with honor till the end of everything. Always ready to help. I've never seen these boys harassing anyone.
Javier was blind loyal, his ideals weren't real and depended on Dutch's empty words to hold it. When everything fell apart, Javier became the opposite of what he preached so much.
Bill was never a good person. Bill was a big drunk bully. He was always a coward, even before RDR1. His loyalty was with some of the members of the gang (as long as they were white... Tilly got his ass during the stagecoach mission and I love that).
Arthur is one of the best written characters I've ever seen. We see someone who was hurt since a child, who was forced to become a "hard man" by every person in his life. He was made to believe by everyone that he was just a strong and ugly motherfucker, whose only use was to do someone's dirty work. But in reality, he was soft. Arthur was an artist, and the people that actually knew that soft side of him, knew how reliable he was. His redemption story is actually beautiful. Arthur is the base of the gang and the pivotal point in the story. His actions and sacrifice started a butterfly effect so strong that it change the course of everyone's life.
And to end this huge mountain of nothing lol I just wanna say that those are MY OWN OPINIONS. I love that game so much and I hope we can see even more of the whole gang and other characters some day again.

ben anon here
i think mostly my interpretation was based off TASM movie,
after ben dies peter kind of goes of the rails. Like the whole reason he started to fight and catch criminals and get himself hurt etc. is because he no longer had ben.
when he becomes spider-man yes hes hunting bad people, theyre all criminals in different ways, but hes treating all of them like murders. even after he finds out they arent.
overall, peter acts very selfishly throughout the entire movie, but after ben dies his selfishness develops a certain animosity. he goes out constantly, stops talking to aunt may, atops talking to gwen, barely bothers to go home.
hes in his own head, hes grieving in a very seclusive way, neglecting how everyone else might feel, especially may.
TASM is a very realistic look at peter, is a very realistic interpretation of what a 17 dude might go through
man! i kind of discounted the tasm version, because not a lot of people use that as a point of reference (even though i do. i don't expect others to do the same.)
i think you're right - i think you're right that in the tasm films that peter is much more stricken by grief and it's presented in a much less grandiose way than other interpretations. it's actually something that i'm really disappointed about in the tasm film - it's like they were going to tell another story. they were going to commit to this story that might've devoted the entire film to peter's dealing with grief and seeking revenge and confronting the killer and deciding he's not going to become a killer himself and not letting anger and his vendetta motivate him - and that, you know, he has a responsibility with these powers yadda yadda yadda, but they drop the ball. they drop the plotline, clearly because the studio said "wait a second. where's the cgi villain? it's a spider-man movie. we need a cgi villain."
there COULD be something to say about how the lizard is similar to peter in that he lets loss motivate him, too. and peter shouldn't let loss motivate him,, yadda yadda, yeah. yeah. whatever. i see it. but most people don't see it because it's not something explored. i mean it's better handled than "you and are both working class guys"" spiel that vulture?? hits peter and the audience over the head with in sm:h because otherwise you probably wouldn't have noticed that's what they were getting at (because it was an afterthought!! an afterthought!! they thought it would give peter complexity but it DIDN'T`. it DOESN'T.) dr connors and peter in tasm do have that common drive. they're both angry because of something they lost. dr connors and his arm,, and peter and his uncle. it's not overt, but it's there, if you squint at it. they're motivated to take their anger out on innocent and/or semi-innocent people because of it. but i don't know - the film isn't very reflective on this, and you wouldn't notice that's what they're getting at unless you picked it apart.
i would've much rather the film commit to seeing peter's origin through without the aid of big cgi villain. let peter be his own antagonist. he keeps hunting until he finds ben's killer. that could easily fill the whole movie - but, i think there'd probably be a question of making peter likeable. boo. cowards. but it just results in the movie totally dropping an interesting plotline and not seeing it through and it never getting any resolution - we don't understand, really, what the turning point is for peter to abandon it entirely, except that... he got distracted by something more important, i guess. giant lizard. yeah. uncle ben who?
i guess there's the point that can be made that peter's unresolved feelings of loss created the villain of the movie. in that. peter looking to complete his parents research is what created the lizard. so. looking to resolve your feelings of loss and dwelling on the past is bad?? so thats why peter drops trying to find ben's killer?? except peter really doesn't learn that lesson because in the next movie he is still obsessed with unravelling the mystery of his parents. so.
maaybe the turning point is him taking responsibility?? he takes responsibility for creating the lizard. says it was his fault. he doesn't overtly take responsibility for bens death in the film. there's never a point where peter says "i'm abandoning the hunt for ben's killer because. actually it was my fault. and i should take responsibility for that" i don't know. but that would feel weak too. that's still a killer out there man. that's still a killer.
BUT. sorry to uncle ben but honestly. honestly. it's ben's fault. i don't think that guy would have killed anybody if ben didn't step in front of the guy's gun. the man was robbing a convenience store, come on. let the man take the, what, $200 or whatever. even the store cashier guy only looked mildly miffed that he'd been robbed. even peter thought "yeah. that guy is a jerk let him be robbed." and who knows. peter might have stepped in and helped if the cashier guy wasn't a jerk. but also - this peter parker isn't like other peter parkers - he hasn't been, i don't know, pursuing a wrestling career to like, really know if he'd win in a fight with a guy with a gun. i don't know. all of this to say that IT WAS NOT andrew garfields FAULT. and it was uncle bens fault. uncle ben stood in front of that guy's gun. i'd almost say it wasn't even the robber's fault at that point. "it's not my fault your honour he fell on my gun" and uncle ben didn't even do anything noble. he died over 15¢. if you're a civilian please do not jump in front of people's guns. you do not have a responsibility to do that !!
i'm getting a little off track here. man i'd script doctor the hell out of this movie, but yeah, the thing i'm obsessed with about this particular peter parker is how - the only thing that motivates him at all is loss or the fear of loss. he is grieving 24/7/365. he alienates the people in his life who care about him who are presently alive, because the idea of loss is rotating in his mind constantly. he alienates ben and may because he's obsessed with the loss of his parents, he alienates may because he's obsessed with hunting down ben's killer. he alienates gwen because he's obsessed with what captain stacy said, and how he died, and how he's afraid something will happen to gwen too. his brain will not let him see whats right in front of him and appreciate what's in front of him because he's obsessed over what he's lost or what he could lose.
in short, therapy for peter. therapy for 1000 years!!

assigning each straw hat pirate a knight of the round table
because I am currently obsessed both with One Piece and Arthuriana; not any kind of serious AU material, just silliness; I Wrote This for Me but You Can Read If You Like
Luffy: Arthur, not due to any similarities in characterization but purely on the functional level - the boy king, the inspirational leader and, as Sun God Nika, a mythical figure believed to return when people need him the most
Zoro: Lancelot, the perfect warrior who embodies that post that's like "it's not my fault that my love language is acts of service and all I know how to do is kill". There is no Queen Guinevere here, so all the undying devotion is aimed at the king instead. Canonically has massive tits. Mihawk is thus implied to be the Lady of the Lake, and I think that's hilarious
Nami: hear me out: Kay. Sharp-tongued, rather cynical, but loyal to a fault to his king/adopted little brother. Nami as part of the Coward Trio vs. Kay being unlucky on quests and generally the butt of the joke. Isn't known to be a great warrior but occupies an important position (navigator vs. seneschal) that keeps the ship/court going. Besides, looking from the opposite direction, I just think Kay deserves to be the hot girl
Usopp: Usopp, sweetie, I'm so sorry, but I gotta say Tristan. Because Tristan is constantly lying about his identity in the most ridiculous manner possible and it somehow works. That part in Le Morte d'Arthur when he's asked what his name is and goes "Tramtrist" and no one suspects a thing even though "Tramtrist" is just "Tristram" with syllables switched around has big Sniper King energy. Also, can't forget the beautiful blonde healer girlfriend
Sanji: oh, that's the easiest one. Gawain. The Maidens' Knight, the ladies' man, a great warrior and one of the king's closest and most trusted men. If you put together Gawain's characterizations from different texts, from SGATGK to Le Morte to the Vulgate & Post-Vulgate to Chrétien de Troyes to everything, you end up with a contradictory character who is simultaneously the best and the worst guy you'll ever meet, which is how I often feel about Sanji, tbh. Would totally fight at a tournament on behalf of a little girl. Has some kind of an epic gay thing with Lancelot
Chopper: Yvain. Son of a sorceress - ah, pardon, a woman of science; associated with animals; known to be nice and kind (the Vulgate Cycle describes him as the one "whose heart will be filled with every kindness"). Occasionally goes insane in the woods (Monster Point), but, like, who doesn't
Robin: try as I might, I can't pull any direct parallels out of my ass, but I do think that narratively she can be seen as kind of a quasi-Mordred. Since her very childhood she was proclaimed to be bad news and expected to eventually cause a catastrophe, but where Mordred, whom no one tries to persuade the prophecy doesn't define him, ends up becoming exactly what he's expected to become, Robin has people who support her and trust her even after witnessing her be the bad guy in the past, so she never becomes the evil others expect her to turn into
Franky: Sagramore the Desirous (or the Unruly, depending on the text/translation) is a big, strong, good-natured knight who probably has low blood sugar needs to have a snack after fighting because otherwise he'll pass out, much like a certain cyborg needs his cola. In the Post-Vulgate, he and Mordred were raised together, which can be linked to Frobin's fates being intertwined since childhood, because I've Connected the Dots (you didn't connect shit)
Brook: I wanted to pick a character of the older generation who nevertheless isn't a mentor figure to Arthur, and I struggle to think of a better option than Pellinore - not the predatory piece of shit in the medieval texts, but the eccentric but loveable old man in Camelot (1967). Brook is also on a quest focused on an extraordinary beast! Only he's not hunting it, he's trying to get back to it because that beast is his friend 🥺
Jinbei: I honestly don't remember if he counts as the Knight of the Round Table, but I am hereby appointing him Ector - Arthur's adoptive father and one of the nicest parental figures in Arthuriana (and probably one of the nicest people in Arthuriana, period). I've also considered Galehaut for the "(partially) non-human ruler who allies himself with Arthur" angle, but that would imply Jinbei/Zoro and I'm not ready to deal with that.
#one piece#monkey d. luffy#roronoa zoro#cat burglar nami#god usopp#black leg sanji#tony tony chopper#nico robin#cyborg franky#soul king brook#jinbei#gella talks one piece#talk talk talk#initially this included a line about sagramore being a himbo & franky being a genius engineer easily mistaken for a himbo#but i ctrl+f'd through a couple of volumes of the vulgate & i can't find what prompted me to think of sagramore as a himbo. besides Vibes#wouldn't wanna throw unwarranted accusations around

I don’t know if I’m late to this but I finally had time to watch all ever after high videos + movies and the last one was a disappointment. I’m of course talking about the Epic Winter storyline. There were so many things amiss that I had to make a list. Let me start with the lack of main character screentime. Don’t get me wrong, I love when they add in new characters and expand the story like they did in Way Too Wonderland with Alistair, Bunny and Courtly Jester and it was balanced, I never felt like anyone was being shunned from the story. In Epic Winter everything revolved around just the main plot with the same characters and I was kinda looking forward to seeing Apple and Raven more. That on it’s own wasn’t a big issue I just wanted to see more of them because they are my favourites but I was looking forward to learning about this new main cast.
Before I get into rambling about the story I just have to say that maybe this wouldn’t be such a bad episode if it wasn’t after the Dragon Games. I was expecting to see a clarification of why Apple wasn’t woken by Daring’s kiss and see how they dealt with it. If Apple wanted to stay with Daring or choose a ‘different’ path with Darling. That would’ve been great side plot (even though to me that would be the main event).
The story itself was okay, good defeats evil once again and I liked that Crystal’s parents finally learn to trust her and give her leadership powers over their kingdom. Maybe it was a bit weird that right after that they left her to rule alone but other than that the story was fine. Now for the most disappointing part Daring and Rosabella, or mostly for me Rosabella. I didn’t mind her much as a character, she wasn’t even in many episodes so I thought she was chill. At first it looked like she was trying to help Charming with his curse which was nice of her and also helping him with his relationship crisis with Apple. Even though they aren’t dating, obviously Daring cares a lot for Apple and they’ve been pretty close since the beginning, also in Way Too Wonderland when they got cursed and he turned into a coward he clung to Apple as his protector. Needless to say they have a special bond wheter it’s romantic or just as friends. So I was really glad that there was finally a girl that was trying to be nice to him not because of his looks or because she wants something heroic from him but because she was trying to be friendly. Then she started to make him into her desired guy and I think it had a lot to do with him looking like her dad (yikes). It kind of got into Rosabella mommying Daring situation where she would just constantly tell him that he had to stop thinking about himself and think of others which first of all isn’t even true. Daring can be self absorbed but he was shown numerous times through the show as a guy that helped out a friend in need. Also he was very kind to other girls. For instance when he was dared to date Lizzie and ended up enjoying it and after he succeeded to get a kiss from her instead of boasting about it in front of everyone he fulfilled Lizzie’s request to keep it a secret even though it meant he had to wash dirty uniforms of some other guys. Another time was when Farrah was upset because she fulfills wishes of everyone else but never her own so Ashley decided to make her biggest wish come true and make her a ball with prince charming which of course was Daring. He also danced with Cerise when he saw her alone at a dance as an apology for how he acted when he doubted her ability to play with them in a match of Book Ball. So needless to say he is a very kind person behind the charm and people who care about him know that. Which is why it was so confusing and out of the blue to pair him up with the most random character just because he turned into a beast as in beauty and a beast and call it a day. It is also out of place to give him a redemption arc as if he needed it. I also thought it weird that Rosabella acted like she knew him forever even though they just started talking/hanging out. It would have been more acceptable to pair Daring, if not with Apple, with Lizzie or even Cerise because they had some moments together. Instead they forced a relationship onto the viewers.
In conclusion it was upsetting to end the series with Epic Winter and I’m just going to pretend like it never existed.

Yo! As a TF and AoT fan, I have been enjoying your fanfic. Hope you are doing well. In the meantime I can’t help but getting 2005 IDW’s, Earthspark’s, and Machinima‘s Combiner Wars’ vibes on your version of Megatron. Being a retired supervillain/sarcastic characterization is well written here on the ol Buckethead
I am 90% sure that I have talked about my writing for Post-War TFP Megatron in the past...Imma do it again anyway.
So Predacon's Rising...was a terrible way to end the TFP series. Season 3, despite it being half the amount of episodes as season 1 and 2 and having questionable writing choices due to the time crunch, wasn't a bad ending. It's just when you hear 'Predacon's Rising' you would think that Predaking is the next big bad trying to take over Cybertron. But you bring back Megatron, you bring back Unicron, you bring back dark energon, and then you do this!
Because if you read Transformers Exodus, Covenant of Primus, or whatever, Megatron knew what oppression was! He knew what violence was! But after a few hours, maybe a week at best under Unicron and you just decide to say fuck it and leave?! It's not helped by the fact that when Starscream tries to get Megatron back into his mojo, he just yells at him! Oh, and in the Covenant of Primus, Megatron makes an active threat to Starscream's life! You know, someone who's been on the receiving end of Megatron's bullshit half the time!
Where was I going with this
Okay, the point is that Megatron's statement in the movie is no indication that Megatron has become a better person. It's either A: he's a coward, or B: it's him unlearning everything that he's ever done. It feels like both can apply.
And just because of one bad day under Unicron, it's not going to lead to a complete turn around in his character and morality. He's lived in violence, and has done so over four million years. Not to mention the dude is extremely xenophobic (Yes, he still hates humans). And he's just so...selfish.
So applying that to Attack on Prime, I have to think about someone who does want to make amends, and ultimately wants to be better, but not knowing how to, and constantly reacting with violence and attitude because it's all he knows, and it's his safeguard. He's treated with fear, caution, and even anger as a result. Change doesn't happen overnight. It takes time and work, and the more time Megatron spends on the AOT world, the more time he acts as a human being, the more he comes to understand the good and the bad of humanity, what that means for himself, and how Megatron grows to ultimately become a better person.
#attack on prime#transformers prime#tfp#attack on titan#snk#aot#shingeki no kyojin#send me asks#asks#ao3#tfp megatron#megatron#predacons rising#it's hard to write a redemption arc for someone that doesn't deserve it but I'm doing it.#let's be clear#Megatron deserves nothing#the crimes he's committed are more egregious than the Eldian Empire#Knowing this#Megatron has to answer the question#why bother with any of it at all?

Seven times Joshuu acted like a normal human being, but no one is talking about! [ full of big SPOILERS ].
Since the end of Jojolion, we don't have much Joshu content! :(( But if you are here, you know that the man is full of good, bad and - especially - dirty moments. Most people, of course, love to point out his bad aspects and moments. And with valid reasons, maybe. But hey: what about the decent ones? We don't see much of it. So today I'm ready to proudly wear the questionable taste t-shirt and represent my few weirdo-enjoyers, going further into the positive spectrum of these iconic rat actions.
1- Oh, Shakedown Road, my love! Here we can see Joshuu showing signs of shyness, social panic and remorse. He simply seems to blame himself for the girl's sadness and is very worried about it, apologizing more than once. Gappy, otherwise, is clearly a more analytical and chill-going type of person. Very interesting.
2- Still in Shakedown Road arc, we have this brief moment. The use of sweet adjectives (with no sarcasm!) demonstrated that Joshu is jealous of Josuke because he, first of all, recognizes his strongest pros, and not cuz he is a total asshole without self-critique and that can't acknowledge other people's good traits. One of the things i find most fascinating about Joshu is how he can be so self-conciouss in a minute and in the other delusional as fuck. Such a funny little guy.
3- Every Day Is a Summer Vacation. When Jobin revealed that the beetle was going to die, Joshu seemed to be very anxious and worried about it. People compare him with Anasui; not saying one is better than other, but, romantic obsessions aside, they are indeed very different in character conception. Joshu is always threatening to make grotesque things, but is he willing to go further with his threats? Most of the time, i would say no - he's too of a coward (but Anasui would, lmao). Weird thing but like how much Joshu trembles… such an emotional fella, isn't he?
4- Not only does Joshu worries about Josuke's state let aside not really liking him that much, but he does the social ritual of asking if he is okay! Josuke/Joshu parallels with Dio/Jonathan are clear at the begging of the part, but Joshu and Josuke actually have an overall neutral relationship after the middle of Jojolion.
5- Now he is showing his sweet side, being protective with everyone who is considered family by him. At that moment of the manga, Joshu was the only one trying to fix things in a diplomatic way. He, still, verbally acknowledges the damaging aspects of isolation/ loneliness, besides constantly going through it himself, and this is very sad (god, I love him so much).
6- That one is a classic. Not much to say: Joshu was unable to confront Jobin in a direct manner, but still managed to save Yasuho by discreetly kicking the cellphone. That imo shows another very prominent Joshu contradictory aspect: his strong urge to express/ rebel himself merging with him constantly accepting submission social roles.
7- And the last ocasion, of course. This one I would say people are more willing to recognize as a genuine act of redemption. By letting Josuke choose the cake that better represents the fruit company, Joshu accepts his presence and importance as a member of the Higashikata family. Considering that all of the events in Jojolion occurred in less than three months, that's a more than reasonable lapse to start to get along with your new and strange adopted brother. Everything about this moment is just adorable and I am indeed happy about the end. It shows that a character's development may be not that astonishing, gradual, or linear and yet still happen. Very realistic of him, not gonna lie.
I consider quite clear and even agreeable that these moments per si can make one re-interpreter a few Joshu misleads. I didn't include the polemic ones, like the equivalent exchange scene, because I am not sure myself if it could be considered a pro or a con and I am not yet prepared to interpret it properly until reread Jojolion. My point is that JJBA is so absurd that we naturally tend to forget trivial details even though these also construct one's personality. Honestly, I could do way more, but I'm too lazy. Honorable mentions to any Hato and Joshuu interaction ever. Fuck, and Milagro Man? This arc is the whole Bible to me! God bless Joshu. Or his "good side", at least. 💖

Dunno if this is exaggerated in the dub or if she’s like this in Japanese too, but Bulma is CONSTANTLY (I mean approximately every time she’s spoken to him during the Saiyan Saga) yelling at Oolong for being a “coward,” and of course I get defensive because I love him XD And it’s like “You’re asking a guy who probably struggles with ten-pound weights why he isn’t out fighting a guy who could literally destroy the whole planet with a power blast from his hand, lay off!!”
But thinking about it harder…Dragon Ball as a franchise is pretty heavily built on the idea that “anyone can be a hero,” anyone can make the decisive move that saves a life or a whole planet if they’re brave enough to try. Oolong does nothing except act as comic relief throughout the whole Pilaf Saga, but HE’S the one who prevents Pilaf from making his wish to rule the world. Yajirobe hides in fear during the entire battle but then ensures victory over Vegeta not once but twice, first cutting off Vegeta’s tail then preventing him from cutting off Gohan’s. It’s King Kai and Kami, totally removed from the battlefield, who figure out a way to save the people of Namek from their exploding planet. Mr. Satan is a powerless arrogant blowhard but does something significant during the final battle against Cell (I don’t remember what, it’s been a long time since I read/watched it) and then convinces the people of Earth to lend energy to the Spirit Bomb at the big Buu finale. All people who couldn’t win in a smackdown against the big bad guy like Goku can, but who all helped out in a big way using their own skills and courage.
So okay, maybe Bulma’s a little justified in getting mad at Oolong for steering clear of danger…but now I’m gonna get defensive cus I’M a coward who steers clear of danger :’D Leave ME alone, Bulma

Baki Boy’s and a fearless/overly-outspoken s/o
Hi y’all! This is my very first headcanon and it’s something that just came to mind while insomnia decided sleep wasn’t allowed. Some are going to have a S/O who speaks out and acts the way they do due to past feelings of restriction and inability to do so, and some are just personality traits in general so a small TW is in order I suppose. I hope you all like it!
Baki:
At first, he had no idea how to deal with that. He was used to Kozue who would only ever speak on her feelings when pressed for them, so when he saw his S/O immediately snap back at Yujiro for his comments and general way of being unprompted, he felt a bit of fear for their safety but also a swelling of pride began to grow in his chest.
He knew they were free spirited and spoke their mind from the beginning, what was apart of what drew Baki to them in the first place, but in the face of The Ogre?
He was shocked to say the least and every alarm in his head was going off to get them out of there before they ended up dead, but Yujiro simply laughed, smirked at his son and gave him a dark warning.
“Don’t let them bark harder than you can bite, that might just be what puts them down.”
The longer that they spent together, the more accustomed to their general ease with saying whatever floated through their head at the time, and lack of care for the outcome of what was said/done.
This has lead to more than a few occasions where Baki has had to pick them up and sprint away from the situation to keep from having to beat someone’s face into an unrecognizable pulp the second an advance was made in the direction of his S/O.
He comes to appreciate their honesty and finds it easier to be around them compared to other people due to the low probability of them hiding anything from him, and it being far easier for him to tell when something is wrong.
Will ask their opinions when making big decisions because he knows they have no fear going forward in life and will tell him their exact thought process regardless of whether it fits with what he’s wanting. To them, it’s what’s best not what is wanted if you’re asking their opinion.
Would support them saying whatever is on their mind/heart, but worries for their safety when he isn’t around to watch out for them.
Loves them for them regardless of if they lack the ability to keep their feelings to themselves while Baki himself is rather reserved.
Jack:
To say he was surprised to have this tiny (anything is compared to him-) individual he hadn’t seen before snap at him for hogging the bench press during his routine workout at his favored gym would be an understatement.
The man was an absolute giant who towered over even the tallest of men and could easily break most in half, yet here this tiny firecracker was getting angry at him. An interesting development indeed.
From then on, he set out to make it his mission to get to know this unique person. For someone to get his eye off of getting stronger and defeating his father is an award all it’s own, but for him to actively chase them was an entirely different thing.
Does eventually win them over through a mixture of gentlemanly behavior and healthy sarcasm, while proving he’s a trustworthy person to hold their heart and guard it.
Jack found himself growing protective over them when he witnessed them exchanging heated words followed by blows over a dispute in a bar he miraculously found himself at the same time as them.
He decided that moment he was going to make them his, and he was going to keep them safe forever, especially from Yujiro.
Hundred percent would do his best to keep them separate, but Yujiro, being Yujiro, would find a way to make his son’s life harder and intervene, belittling him in some way around his S/O and that would be the end of it.
Jack thought he had seen them go off before? Oh, no, no. Not when it came to someone they care about deeply. They started spewing every insult they could think of at the red-headed Hanma giant, feeling not an ounce of fear in their body- that’s because all of it entered Jack’s the moment they opened their mouth.
Used every bit of endurance he built up to grab them and run as far as he could in as quick a pace as possible to get them to safety.
Knows there’s no way he can change them, and that he wouldn’t want to. Their outspokenness was what made him fall for them after all.
Katsumi:
This man has a thing for outspoken S/O who takes charge, he may seem like an alpha male but he would instantly fold the moment his beloved gives him the look. Is not to afraid to admit this and chalks it up to his love and respect for their opinions.
Instantly fell for them the moment they entered Shin Shin Kai in a full-blown fit, eyes raging, nostrils slightly flaring and sights set on a member of his class. Obviously they did something wrong, but when he approached to find out exactly what was going on as any teacher would, he was instantly shut down.
“I’m not here for you, so if you don’t want your head bit off, I’d stay the fuck out of my way”
Needless to say, he was intrigued at this type of response from someone so much smaller than him, in his own father’s dojo, and after a few more prodding questions and standing in the way of what they wanted, he got the answers he was wanting as to what was going on.
Being the relatively peaceful guy he was, Katsumi managed to calm down the situation while somehow getting a date out of the whole scenario.
Everyone thought he was crazy for wanting to go out with someone as outspoken and rude like that, but he saw beyond that. He could see there was someone fearless and thoughtful under there, and he wanted to see what else was buried beneath the surface.
Man, was it worth it. They didn’t fear anything it seemed, always willing to try new activities with Katsumi and his friends, be it new roller-coaster to cliff-jumping on their days off at the ocean, it didn’t matter. They were always up for it, the acts seemingly bringing them closer each time.
He grew to love and respect them greatly, reminding them daily how much he admires their ability to speak their mind without fear and has no issue setting anyone straight regardless of who it is.
Would never admit it to their face or out loud but he really worries about them when he’s gone, knowing that not everyone can see the kind person they are inside and could easily take their words or actions the wrong way.
One of the few who actually trains his S/O in martial arts, even just the basics, to keep themselves safe when he isn’t around.
Doyle:
Oh boy.
This idiot would be voted most likely to attempt to kill his S/O for opening their mouth about how he doesn’t seem as tough as everyone is making him out to be.
Has the hardest time out of all of the men to adapt to having a S/O who speaks whatever comes in their mind and letting him know exactly what they think of his actions, good or bad. This is not something he is used to and not being able to just leave or kill the person saying it was something that was completely new to him.
Would be the definition of opposites attract. Doyle is known for being more reserved, keeps things to himself and generally reminds others of a cat with his observant and quiet behavior. In comes his lover who is open about her thoughts and feelings regardless of who asks, will shout and loudly express themselves when upset or frustrated, and is basically a dog personified.
Doyle catches himself watching their surroundings more cautiously when they go out due to not knowing exactly what is going to slip out of his lovers mouth, and being fully prepared to cut the tongue out of anyone who dared breath in their direction wrong.
Eventually he learns what will set off his S/O quicker and what is the best ways to calm them down when they are feeling like they need to be heard about a certain scenario.
He’s a very observant man, and when spending nearly everyday with a person he cares for, he will swiftly find ways to make things easier for them without their noticing. He can’t have them thinking he cares too much.
Around the other inmates or Yujiro Hanma is the only time Doyle feels any inclination of fear, prompting a fight, flight, or freeze response to which he typically chooses the middle option with his S/O in toe.
He would rather be viewed as a coward for fleeing with what is his than lose it because they don’t have the ability to keep their damn mouth shut for someone looking at either of them wrong.
Would enjoy having a S/O who expresses what they’re feeling, but would hope for one who had some sentiment of common sense so he didn’t have to constantly worry.
Retsu:
Probably handles them the best out of all of the boys to be honest.
Is used to hotheaded and outspoken people himself already (*cough* Katsumi *cough*), while also having been one in his past, Retsu is the most suited to dealing with their outbursts and reckless actions due to a lack of fear.
Likely met his S/O while in Japan for the Maximum Tournament and overheard them going off in the distance about something that was a passion of theirs that they felt had been disrespected.
Retsu could relate given his overprotective nature in regards to his Chinese Kenpo, so when he saw them chest to chest, red-faced and still going at it while showing no signs of backing down, he knew he had to step in and defuse the situation before their beautiful/handsome face was ruined over an argument.
Has no problem with letting them rant and rave about things their passionate about or that bothered them throughout the day/week that they managed to hold in for Retsu’s sake.
Expresses his feeling the easiest out of the men except for possibly a tie with Baki, so makes it known that he worries for their safety and wants them to try their best to keep it together while they’re apart, being rewarded with whatever treat they would like followed by cuddles and a venting session.
Comes up with different means for them to let out their frustrations with the world without having to blow up on everyone/everything that upsets them; i.e. gives them swearing coloring books to create art out of every swear word/insult they could think of.
Doesn’t want his S/O to keep things inside or to change, he just simply wants them to learn there is a time and a place for going off about things you’re passionate about, but when faced with the strongest being in the world? That is not the time, and even someone like Retsu, who believed that nothing could beat Chinese Kenpo, could recognize that.
If things ever got heated out in public and his S/O began to argue with another person, don’t think for a second that Retsu wouldn’t break a man’s jaw for talking to his love with any kind of bass in their voice.
Loves and accepts his S/O for who they are, but is likely to help try and gently mother hen them into channeling that into a healthier outcome.

Don't know how people are gonna feel about this but Loki should've been dealt with the way they dealt with Lucifer (from the Netflix show) I mean while the show straight up dismissed loki's feelings, lucifer netflix really showed us the natural and organic character growth with ups and downs while still maintaining the comic hilarity (WHICH WASNT AT THE EXPENSE OF THE MC). It's love interest and side characters are all original characters dealt as independent characters rather as brownie or plot points.
And the scenes that prompted me to think this?
1. Lucifer asking his Mazikeen to cut off his wings because he's moved past being a pawn in his father's 'Great Plan'. We could've had loki come to this conclusion and tell Mobius (who would've been an actual all out ally who was forced into doin lg what he did) that he no longer wanted any place in a land that hated him. (Once again like Lucifer calling the silver city hell)
2. Lucifer actually being the way he's supposed to be (angel of light, light bringer etc.) We could've had Loki act like the way he Actually Is. Not like how @iamnmbr3 so eloquently put it 'like larry the dumb lookalike'. We could've had Loki being stern yet having that air of sarcasm and wit that he had in his the films. His eloquence, his physical prowess (none of the falling flat on his face stuff, a lot of people talk about how he was trying not to hurt the people in ep 2 but srsly Loki would just immediately disarm them), and most of all his agency and refusal to cower or the pathetic attempts at lying.
3. Costumes. The lucifer netflix team had an extensive costume department that ironically pales in comparison to what disney is capable of but still we see Lucifer have a wide array of clothes and styles. Have Loki take the first chance to change his clothes. If he wants the 50s aesthetic have at it! he can wear the tuxedos and the nice leather. Or maybe change into some nice Viking-inspired leathers and battle armor. Have him as a pirate, or a knight or a cowboy. You're traveling through time good man! you can at least hit some of the cool spots.
4. In depth analysis of lucifer's mental health. the only episode of the Loki tv show I liked (loose term) is the first one cause it's the only one that gave a fraction of what we were promised: an insight into loki. That's it.
5. Lucifer's organic growth. This is self-explanatory. Loki watched one video and was good. Very good five stars. I understand that they only had six episodes but come-on. You could've had the subtle changes through out all the eps and lead to the big finish finally. With each episode focusing on certain aspects of Loki.
5. Lucifer's exploration of self-loathing. This deserves to be a separate point because Istg it was done so well. Basically lucifer messes up and he's faced with the hatred that's been conditioned into him (not unlike Loki) and then he learns what it is and actually tries to love himself. And not by kissing a female variant of himself (ew and also respect the gender fluid persons). He actually saw the good in him by reflecting and his actual good friends helping him.
6. Lucifer actually wanting to be good. Look Idc what shut mike waldron wrote, loki is not selfish when his whole arc has been doing things for asgard, thor, odin, frigga etc. We all know that New York was mind control, I do not know why it's being swept under the rug. But here's the thing, that self loathing I mentioned earlier is a huge part of Loki thinking he's some monster and intent on proving it.
7. Lucifer facing his 'devil-face'. Loki should've come to terms with his Jotun heritage. The TVA could've had a case in Jotunheim concerning the Royal Family and Loki could've seen the entirety of Jotunheim and it's people not just that most-likely war propaganda the Asgardians force-fed him. Maybe have him meet his siblings or better yet his mother. There's a very nice fic on A03 called Asgardian Galdr that deals with this beautifully.
8. Luicfer having a Breakdown and Crying: First off this happens gradually, his problems pile up etc etc. and he faces off his father and gets angry until he finally breaks down. And basically God says, "I'm sorry but i can't fix you," And Lucifer in all his grief and desperation asks, "But you're God,'. I know we talk a lot about Loki being made weak in the Show but that's specifically about him being made weak and helpless to make Sylvie seem like a stronger character (Don't get me started on the Sif and Narcissm scene istfg), But maybe seeing Loki try awkwardly to be good and near the finish of the show we see it blow up in some angsty way? only for some conversation like this to happen and have Loki understand that being good is something that is innate and something he already had the potential for all along. Maybe learn that he's not lawful good but as always the morally grey character we know him as. (Protector of misfits, god of outcasts i.e all the shit Marvel shat on) and rise as the God of Chaos and Stories against the rigid bonds of The TVA and essentially Kang.
9. Lucifer having a nice healthy romantic interest and relationship. Lucifer and Chloe's relationship is more often than not the main point of the show but no matter how much it is focused on it remains health, organic and not a weird allegory for something disgusting. Even if Sylvie weren't a Loki (once again ew) the whole dynamic was toxic. She constantly put him down, and invalidated his feelings (Sounds like Odin huh?) and guess what Loki fell in love with her after one day, one conversation of what love was and Mobius calling her his girlfriend (he also said that it was freakish and i agree). We could've had Sigyn sweet lord. (I'll make another post about this)
10. Lucifer's Sexuality. There is a whole episode in which Loki's paramours are getting murdered and they all vary from men to women to all that comes in between. And there's no shame, no offensive jokes. Have Loki flirt with dudes, i understand ms.karen that this is for children, don't worry the casual sex ;) was offscreen. Have Loki turn into a woman and flirt with woman cowards, maybe make some questionable remarks about horses (That make Sigyn laugh)
11. Lucifer's Powers: lemme sum up, Lucifer can, let's call it, use compulsion on people. He is known for his strength and prowess and abilites to grant favors. Have Loki shapeshift into animals, absolutely mauling people. Have him use his silver-tongue to coax people into making or changing history (Yes Brutus, Caesar is getting to be a bit much, say have you heard how sharp knives are?)
I'm pretty sure there's more that i can't remember rn. And here is one thing i would like to make very clear.
You are not bad for liking the show or hating it whatever. The problem is that the show framed a lot of bad things as good (Anything the TVA did, Mobius' torture session with Loki, the way Sylvie treated Loki only for them to become romantic partners, the Sylkie fiasco as it was offensive to genderfluid people and the bare fucking minimum of LGBTQ and POC rep). The show was also marketed specifically to make us think hey! Loki might actually be the main character only for it to blow up in our faces. We were also promised an actual plot rather than a constantly plot twisting concept that could've been worth something.
Also i'm still working on a Loki fic rn after which i will write a Loki(TV) Rewrite but unitil then ig.

open invitation to talk about qinterwatcher? should've been our canon ot3 if tui wasn't a coward /hj
*crashing through the door* FUCK YEAH QINTERWATCHER HOURS, I'VE BREACHED CONTAINMENT BABEYYY
I used to think of Qinterwatcher as a bit of a cop-out (fandom has this weird tendency to create polyam ships not for the chemistry of the characters but just to avoid actually committing to a ship, with the added level of esp. when it's two male chars/one female char because they've heard or came to the conclusion that "ignoring female characters for mlm ships is bad" but still really ship the two men so just chuck her in there to feel better about it), but I kept thinking about it and I feel like the dynamic is incomplete without Moon???
Qinter was my first big ship in wings of fire, and I love it dearly and think it stands well on its own two feet tbh. Sometimes though I feel like Qinter works better in fanon that it does drawing strictly off canon??? Like Qibli and Winter have this sort of uncomfortable vibe sometimes of both of them hitting the other a little too close to home/both of them hurting the other person without realizing it. Moon feels like a needed middle ground of that, she sort of softens both of them in necessary ways that mean they can actually function as a unit and in return they take care of her too
Also like idk Moon deserves to get two boyfriends too !! like I talk shit abt her but like I think her and Qibli's dynamic is really sweet, and I think her and Winter, if Winter sorted out his shit, could have a really good dynamic as well. They were written to be in a love triangle, the writing for Moon/Qibli and Moon/Winter is already there. Like they hype her up so intensely and care abt her so much, they don't work with her individually but as a unit they work great.
Anyway I just think they work together so nicely !!! A little layered cake of dragons who love each other !!!! I just feel like their dynamic is two of them ganging up on the other to destroy them, either with love or with cruel mischief. I just think each combination of this ship works well and together they become one unstoppable unit. It's 3 dragons who have needed love piling it onto each other in spades because they don't want them to feel unloved ever again man ;0;
And like canonically they all admire the others so much,,,, I can't describe it any other way other than that scene in Howl's moving castle where they're in the flowers and Sophie describes herself as plain/ugly and without hesitation he's like "-But Sophie, you're beautiful," or w/e, like that specific brand of bewilderment, not trying to appease her or disagree with her but being completely taken aback that she even thinks that because it's so fundamentally wrong to him, like the reaction of someone being told gravity isn't real or the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. Like Sophie being beautiful is one of the core rules of reality. That's the Qinterwatcher dynamic babey !!!! Each of them has such a strange perception of themselves that is so entirely at odds with how the others perceive them, and they're just constantly cycling out who's Howl and who's Sophie.
But they also bring each other down to earth too !! None of them are like- scared of the others, if that makes sense?? Like part of what bugs me abt Cleril is the weird power dynamics at play- Clay is scared that if he does something wrong, Peril will do something dangerous (Winterwatcher also treads this line too tbh, again they'd have to sort this out for this ship to work, including in the context of Qinterwatcher). But like- Qibli has never been afraid to tell Winter his true feelings/thoughts, and vice versa. The same goes for Moon/Qibli too for that matter, heck, that's the whole resolution of darkness of dragons is Moon going "lol are you serious, no you're not a bad person you idiot" while Qibli looks guilty. And I think Moon does call out Winter when it's needed, like she's not some innocent wilting flower, she will defend herself and Winter needs that reminder that his actions have consequences and he's not actually that cool or better than anyone else. They check each other so well, and again that's why they need the others! Qibli and Moon together are able to tell off Winter, Qibli and Winter understand Moon/her problems, and Winter/Moon both stop Qibli from spiraling into himself. A necessary balancing act !!!
I just also can't stop picturing them sharing their interests with each other too like none of these dragons are neurotypical I'm sorry you'd better believe Winter and Qibli are there with Moon in the library reading a million weird old scrolls and having a competition on who can find the funniest, or Qibli and Moon bringing Winter food for his scavengers and providing what information they know.
#qinterwatcher#be careful what invitations you give me I can and will use them lmao#wings of fire#wof#qibli#qibli wof#winter wof#moonwatcher#moonwatcher wof

Meeting and Dating Draco Malfoy
(Not my gif)(Requested by anonymous)
(Since it came up in the meeting situation: if you request crush headcanons, they’ll include the boys reactions to falling for all the different houses<3)
- You and Draco first meet when you both begin attending Hogwarts.
- When it comes down to it, the platinum blond has a rivalry with just about everyone his age; besides his somewhat mindless goons, so there’s going to be a rivalry involved in your “relationship” regardless of who you are. The question is: how does said rivalry play out? Which is where your house comes into play.
- If you’re in any other house besides Slytherin then you’re in for a bumpy ride, though don’t get your hopes up Slytherin, it isn’t smooth sailing for you either.
- Either way, Draco is very much a “pull your pigtails” type of boy. He’s constantly teasing you, being rude, making insults, etc. If you’re a Slytherin then he’s recruiting you as one of his “followers”, acting childishly possessive over you, demanding that you come with him or scolding you when you hang out with people outside of your house. The older you get and the stronger his feelings, the worse it’ll get.
- Even though he acts cruel to you, he’s always eager to hear what you think about him; what you’d said to your friends about him and so on. Of course, deep down it bothers him when you express your contempt but he pretends it doesn’t, being particularly rude to you the next day to try and make himself feel better.
- On the same note as Draco’s eagerness to bully people: while I don’t think it’s impossible for Draco to fall in love with a half blood/other type of witch, I do think that he wouldn’t allow himself to be with one purely because of what he’s been taught and the fear of his fathers wrath.
- So, when does the snake boy stop seriously screwing with you? Around second year; if we’re referencing the other houses relationship with him. The two of you were paired up for a class around that time and slowly but slowly found yourselves on alright terms with each other.
- Because of this, it became far less shocking for people to see the two of you together and during that time, he was able to realize that he may or may not have liked you, and that he could be around you if he wished to.
- Finally, it all comes to a head around third year when he first see’s you stepping out of your carriage looking more radiant than ever and positively glowing as you laughed with your friends.
- Maybe it was the fact that he went the whole summer with the realization that he liked you and with no chance of seeing you. Maybe it was because you’d matured a bit and lost more of your babyface. Either way, he was in trouble.
- He approaches you with his usual last name greeting and you roll your eyes as per usual but as your relationship last year would suggest, he’s not nearly as rude to you as he once was.
- In fact, he’s uncharacteristically kind to you, well, as uncharacteristically kind as Draco can be while trying to remain unsuspicious. He starts making up any excuse to talk to you, goes to you for details when something happens within the school; even though you’re probably far more clueless than he is, sits/stands next to you in class, and most surprisingly, he actually acts sort of sweet to you when you’re all alone.
- If you’re a Slytherin then forget it, he’s constantly around you no matter where you are. He even openly flirts with and acts like he’s interested in you; though he tones it down so that he can keep up his reputation.
- It’s for all these reasons that you actually find yourself agreeing to go to Hogsmeade with him when he approaches and borderline tells you that that's what you’re doing. The two of you narrow your eyes at each other for a moment before you decide that you just can’t decline, as much as you want to because of his tone of voice and way of asking.
- So he takes you to Hogsmeade and you find yourself genuinely having a fun time, especially after the two of you end up in a snowball fight with each other. The two of you got progressively more elaborate with your snowy attacks until you’d wound up on the ground together with you just about ready to dump a big pile of snow on his head.
- In that moment, he’d linked his arm around the back of your neck and pulled you down to kiss him as you kneeled in front of him. The snow dropped from your hands, mostly missing his head but he didn’t stop. His playful, somewhat rough kiss softened and before you knew it, you were melting into him.
- You’re his girl now whether you like it or not. He wanted you and he always gets what he wants, doesn’t he?
- Draco has a reputation to keep up so he isn’t gonna be all cutesy and lovey dovey with you in public, though he does show you quite a bit of pda. He gives you that “I’m tough and she’s mine. Look I can touch her, see.” type of affection.
- Having his arm around you constantly; especially when he’s glaring down and trying to intimidate someone who’s looking at you too much for his liking.
- Temple kisses.
- Hand kisses. It’s a habit he picked up from his father.
- Sweet, soft kisses. You certainly didn’t anticipate him being so loving with you when you first started dating; due to his usual behavior, but you were, at times, pleasantly surprised.
- Dominating, somewhat rough kisses; especially when he’s in a bad mood for whatever reason.
- Him lounging dramatically in or across your lap.
- He’s quite a big fan of cuddling but he’d die before he let you or anyone else know that. The two of you usually cuddle hugging each other, your legs tangled together and his lips pressed to your forehead.
- If you’re not constantly by your boyfriends side, are you even dating? Why would you need to be anywhere else? You’re his girlfriend, you should be jumping to be seen with and spend time with him; especially since he’s a Malfoy!
- Him forcing people out of his and/or your way, and making Crabbe or Goyle do things for the two of you. The two boys really don’t mind helping you since you’re usually so much nicer about it than your boyfriend is.
- Sneaking around after curfew together.
- Wandering the grounds together. He’s got a few particular places that he likes bringing you to.
- Him pretending not to enjoy the things you do with him or the places that you take him to, even though you know damn well that’s he’s lying and just won’t admit that he’s having fun.
- Getting tickled or at least prodded in the side when you’ve said something teasing towards him, or just when you’re distracted. He finds it funny when you jolt and swat his hand away.
- Being lovingly referred to as your last name. When the two of you are alone together, he’ll let a “darling” slip here and there, usually without even meaning to. It’s another habit he picked up from high society life.
- Affectionate bullying. He makes fun of you in a much fonder tone now that you’re together.
- Sending notes to each other in class.
- Always being escorted to class.
- Stopping him from doing something stupid, even if it may or may not cause a fight between the two of you.
- Being forced to cheer him on at Quidditch games, even if you’re in a different house. He takes great offense if you don’t.
- He’s constantly trying to impress you and get your validation. He’s always bragging to you about his accomplishments, usually sprinkling in little white lies to make them sound even better.
- Him exaggerating how hurt or sick he is for more attention, especially when you’re completely focused on him; he wants to keep it that way for as long as he can.
- Either gaining favoritism from certain people; people like Snape, or being relatively disliked by association. Although, once people see that you’re sort of like a buffer between them and his wrath, they usually warm up to you more.
- Getting him to be nicer to people.
- You’re practically the only one he really listens to, even if it’s usually done so begrudgingly. He’ll later say that it’s just because he didn’t actually feel like doing it or tell you that you’re lucky “you’re cute” in a grumble to save face.
- Gossiping and peoplewatching together. He likes seeing you be a little mean, he finds it entertaining and gives you praise whenever you make some snide remark.
- Snowball fights.
- Going to Hogsmeade together. He treats you to a butterbeer or candy from Honeydukes whenever you go.
- Being spoiled. His father can afford the best and Draco wants to ensure that you’ll put up with his insecure ass even though he’s sometimes sorta mean to you. He also just likes the feeling he gets when he knows that he’s the one who’s made you happy.
- He probably gets you a silver necklace/bracelet either in the shape of his name or with it engraved on it, or with green jewels on it; especially if you’re not in Slytherin.
- Getting your stuff stolen. He’s a bit of a kleptomaniac so expect to find your some of your stuff in his room.
- Try not to mention it when he clings onto you at a sudden movement/sound or when something otherwise scares him. He’s sort of a coward; especially before the whole deatheater thing, and he’ll get angrily embarrassed if you do say something, denying it adamantly before avoiding you for the rest of the day out of spite.
- Occasionally dealing with his mood swings. One moment he’ll be all over you, the next he’ll be a foot away and acting cold. It’s nothing that you did, he just suddenly becomes very aware of how vulnerable or soft he’s being and get’s kind of insecure, not wanting to look too weak.
- His father will hear about you!
- Watching how his personality changes when he’s around other people, particularly his father. He isn’t a total git when the man isn’t around but he certainly acts like more of a gentleman and less like himself when he’s being observed; mainly because his father will audibly warn him to play nice.
- His parents probably have fancy parties that he may or may not be allowed to bring you to. If you’re from a well respected, pureblood family then his parents will accept you with open arms and happily welcome your appearances at said events.
- Listening to him complain about how boring or stupid things are, whether during or after they happen.
- He’ll try to keep his pride and insist that nothing is wrong; or that he isn’t as upset as he actually is, but you’ll be able to tell that somethings bothering him; usually his father. When he’s upset, you’ll merely be extra sweet to him and stick by his side for the rest of the day. It’s in those moments that he realizes just how much he loves you.
- Though you’ll have to find out about them soon enough, he definitely keeps some big secrets from you. You’ll be able to tell that there’s something wrong, that something is weighing him down, but he refuses to let you know until he’s finally forced to.
- Possessive boy. You’re his girlfriend and no one else should even look at you unless it’s to feel envious of him.
- He has nasty little habit of getting jealous over just about anyone who’s capable of taking you away from him; regardless of how irrational it may seem, or is otherwise making you happier than he can. He gets incredibly annoyed when he sees you with other guys and tends to either scare them off or glare at the two of you until you join his side.
- After that, he’ll make a few passive aggressive comments until you kiss his cheek and fluster/reassure him enough that he forgets about it.
- He’s incredibly protective of you; especially in the later years of your relationship/school life. In the beginning, he’ll pretend like he doesn’t care as much as he does but will always act in your favor and/or stick up for you on his own cruel way. When you’re older, he’s more willing to blatantly show that he cares and keep you away from danger.
- He’s a bit sensitive so the two of you have quite a few fights. He might insult you or cause problems for one reason or another but you just ignore him and give him the silent treatment when he’s acting like an ass.
- He watches you intently when you’re ignoring him, usually with a glare and especially if you’re around other guys. He keeps waiting for you to approach him but when he realizes you won’t, he’s forced to do it himself.
- At some point, he’ll force you to come with him so that the two of you can talk, trying to just “forget about” the issue before finally admitting that he was wrong. Depending on the issue, he might not give a full apology, telling you not to push your luck when you mention it.
- He doesn’t give you a ton of “I love you’s” but he does force himself out of his comfort zone to say a few. He’ll only ever say it when you’re alone and won’t look at you as he does so, usually trying to breeze past it like it didn’t happen as he blushes. The longer you’re together, the more willing he is to say it.
-He’s going to marry you is what he’s going to do! Why wouldn’t you want to marry him? He’s a pureblood, a Malfoy, and alright, he might just so happen to be really in love with you.

His children
(How did Davarax end up with his troubled children?)
“Davarax. A word.”
Slightly surprised, Davarax glances over as Mardsk walks towards him. The guy is one of the Teachers, one who rarely spoke to the Fighting Corps. Sure, Davarax had been a Teacher once too but that was years ago and most just consider him a Fighter now.
“What can I help you with, ner vod?” Davarax asks, curious.
Mardsk comes to a halt in front of him, seems to struggle for words and gives a big sigh before he just jumps into it. “Paz Vizla.”
Davarax frowns. The heir to the Vizla clan, he's seen the young boy around and knows he will one day be a valuable member of the Fighting Corps, judging by his size and love for battle. “What about him?”
“He's a problem.” Mardsk blurts out. “The boy is a bully. He keeps picking on my Spring Class, beats them up and terrifies them.”
Davarax' frown deepens and he crosses his arms thoughtfully. “Wait. Your Spring Class? Aren't they, what, three or four years older than him?”
“Yeah, so?” Mardsk replies with a slight edge to his voice. “The boy is a bully nonetheless. He's disruptive and constantly challenging my authority, thinking he's above the rules because he's a Vizla.”
“And what do you want me to do about it?” Davarax does not like where this is going.
“You train him.” Mardsk plows on. “You have experience with difficult kids and you know she would approve of us keeping the Vizla clan quiet.”
Not liking Mardsk using his connection to her one bit, Davarax still doesn't reject the request right away. He's always had a weakness for the outcasts. “Let me talk to him...”
And true to his word, later that day, Davarax hunts down the kid. He finds him sitting in one of the study rooms, reading on one of the datapads there.
Paz Vizla is big, Davarax has no trouble seeing how he can take on and defeat children years older than himself, but there is nothing menacing about the young boy right now. He is devouring the information on the datapad, which a quick peek reveals to be Mandalorian history. Interesting.
“Hey.” Davarax gets his attention. “You know who I am?”
Paz looks up at him, slightly curious but completely self-assured. “Yeah. You're Davarax. You're-”
Davarax nods. “That's me. Pleased to meet you, Paz Vizla.”
Now Paz frowns and he sits up a little straighter. “What do you want?” There is a challenge in his words as well as in the insolent stare. He is his father's son, alright.
“I wanted to meet you.” Davarax sits on the desk next to him. “Because they want me to train you.”
“Figures.” Paz scoffs with obvious contempt. “Mardsk is a coward.”
Amused, Davarax tilts his head and scans the kid's body language. It's a wonderful mess of arrogance and insecurity. He's angry, but also clearly hurt by Mardsk's action. Not completely corrupted by his father, then. Good. “He just knows when he's out of his league. That's not a bad thing, ad'ika. It can save your life outside the Covert.” Davarax sees the youngster wobbling between the lingering hurt and the inferred compliment. “So, would you be okay with that? Me training you?”
Paz looks at him, scans him in return and leans back in his chair. “Why would you want to do that? You're on the Fighting Corps. You don't do teacher stuff anymore.”
Davarax shrugs. “I might make an exception for you.”
“For me? Why? Because I'm a Vizla?” Paz drawls, suspicious.
“No.” Davarax says. “Because I think you have a lot of potential and you will do great things for the Covert. I also think that maybe you need someone who understands you a little better to help that happen.”
Paz shifts uneasily on his chair, his gaze flickers and ruins his pretend arrogance. He swallows and makes himself meet Davarax' gaze. “And that's you?”
“That's me.”
“And who is to say you won't just hand me off to some other teacher?”
Davarax shakes his head. “I won't do that.” His words are calm and secure, no doubt whatsoever.
Paz considers it, then turns back to the datapad and shrugs. “Fine. Sure. Whatever.”
And just like that, Davarax had the first of what would be known as the Fearsome Four.
It takes a long time for him to gain Paz' trust and respect, but with a calm and steady approach, not responding to Paz' tantrums but rather making him use his words; the boy's energy is eventually channeled where it is meant to go.
It doesn't mean Paz stops getting into fights, not by a long shot, but now he at least goes after the ones capable of defending themselves and guilty of some kind of offense, and not just some random victim that crosses Paz' path.
Then comes the morning when Davarax hears a knock on the door to his quarters, opens it and finds another teacher standing there with a tight grip on a tiny, skinny boy's neck.
The boy stares sullenly at the floor, curly hair poking up at all angles, the neckline of his shirt pulled a little to the side and showing a prominent collarbone due to his skinniness. His tiny hands are clenched into tight fists. That is how Davarax meets Barthor.
Unlike Paz, Barthor doesn't show much emotion at being 'handed off' to a new teacher, but those eyes speak volumes. He is furious and filled with spite. Being small and skinny in a society that values strength and fighting abilities can't be easy, but he's been getting back at them in inventive and sometimes fire hazardous ways. Davarax could smell the stench of singed hair through his air filter when the teacher had appeared on his doorstep with the little culprit.
Barthor had pulled one stunt after another,a proper troublemaker, but what Davarax admires is the fact that they were never able to prove it was him. Not once. That speaks of intelligence. So he agrees to train him as well.
Where Paz uses anger and brute strength to intimidate, Barthor immediately tries to sneak his way into Davarax' brain and heart, mapping Davarax' mind to manipulate him while trying to act small and helpless to appeal to his protective instinct. Sneaky little thing. He's going to go far in life.
It turns out that once Barthor realizes that Davarax doesn't fall for his tricks, but treats him with respect and actually talks to him and not over him, the little one thaws and becomes his shadow.
It's kind of cute, really.
Paz isn't pleased at first, but decides the runt isn't a threat or a challenge so he ends up mostly ignoring Barthor, who keeps a wary distance in return. They focus on Davarax, not each other.
“Please...” A third teacher pleads some time later. He holds out his arm and pulls up the fabric and shows the painful mark there. “She bit me! I pulled her off a kid she was pummeling and she bit me. She held on for so long I considered prying her jaws open with a stick!” The man lowers his arm and shakes his head. “You gotta help me, Dav. Please!”
Now this one Davarax asks for some time to consider. He has heard a lot about Raga Saxon, have seen her in action, and she might be the one child he's not entirely sure he can help. He has no idea how to deal with that kind of volatile temper. There is fearless and then there is reckless.
Somehow Paz finds out that Raga's teacher has asked to move her to Davarax and the boy instantly starts to hassle him to say yes.
“She's awesome. She really is! You gotta see her fight.” Paz pleads, walking next to Davarax.
“I have seen that very thing. That is what worries me.” Davarax mutters. “There is no discipline to her. She's basically feral, Paz.”
“I know!” Paz' grin is the brightest Davarax has even seen on the boy. “As I said, she's awesome. You got to let her join us. I'll look after her, I promise. You won't even notice she's there. Please?”
Paz rarely asks for anything so Davarax promises him he'll think about it. And the next day, he stays hidden and watches Raga. He sees the energy crackling under her skin, the wild hair and her complete lack of fear. It's the kind of personality that can ruin a mission and get other Mandalorians killed, but then he sees her with Paz and observes, to his surprise, the other side to her. She 'is' capable of team work, she can be still and patient, and for some weird reason it seems like Paz is the one who brings that out in her.
Fine. She deserves a chance as well. She's a tough little fighter, like a Mandalorian should be. They just need to work on her mean streak.
Bringing Raga in changes the dynamics as she instantly goes after Barthor, like a predator sensing prey. Davarax hopes that Paz will put an end to it, but no such luck. The bigger boy just chews on his snacks and watches with lazy amusement. Davarax is on the verge of interfering when Barthor strikes back.
Raga's shrieks of fury echoes through the hallways, Barthor runs for his life, while Paz chews his snacks with lazy amusement, and Davarax struggles not to laugh. Yeah, Barthor is going to be fine. He doesn't need help.
It is almost a year later when he opens a hatch and finds a frightened boy staring up at him. His name is Din.
Davarax reaches out a hand, Din takes it.
When the request comes if Davarax can train Din too, there is a lack of teachers and Din is severely affected by the trauma he's been through, Davarax doesn't hesitate. He found the boy, he feels responsible for him.
And against all odds, Din is the glue that makes them all stick together.
Paz' protective instinct is triggered hard, Raga senses Paz' approval and actually behaves for long enough to realize she likes Din, and Barthor is so happy to no longer be the lone one against the other two that he reaches out a hand in friendship as well. And Din finds safety from his nightmares in their presence.
It shouldn't work. Not at all. But it does.
He even finds them, more than once, sleeping in a pile together.
And as they learn, as they grow, they keep amazing him and there's not a single day that goes by where he doesn't feel proud of them. They are difficult, yes, complicated, definitely, but they are good students and will do good things for the Covert, he knows this.
The others start referring to them as the Fearsome Four, but Davarax calls them his children and he knows in his heart that he will love them until the day he dies.

I love you in every language of the world, but English ( Nikki x Tommy)
A/N: All of this was born from a conversation between me and @witchy-tombstone-smile so a big thank you to this person to be my delirious italian partner in crime!
Summary: Nikki can speak Italian, Tommy can speak Greek but they can’t do one thing: say I love you to each other in English! ( plus Vince calling Mick a bruja)
He was a fucking idiot! What was he thinking?
He was drunk! However, that was not the problem, being drunk and alone with Tommy Lee were the issue there. Look he was Nikki Sixx, he built his reputation on being drunk or high, so he wasn’t worry about being wasted per se, neither he was worried about the dumb shit he could have done because he and Tommy were Terror Twins for a reason, not doing weird shit together would have been the issue… he’s referring to the sappy shit he does whenever his defenses are down.
Such things include randomly hugging Tommy, telling him how much of a good friend he is, yanking him off girls to do crazy shits together and his “favorite” telling Tommy sappy stuff in Italian. He has lost count of how many times he used pets name in Italian without the drummer understood it.
However, now it was much worse because they were alone and Tommy looked so fucking beautiful under the stars with his ever present smile and glossy brown eyes, he wasn’t a romantic type but the other guy changed all his prospective, he didn’t even realize he could like a guy before he knew him.
“C’mon Nikki! Tell me something in Italian, pleaseeee!” Tommy slurred, giggling.
Fuck why he was so adorable when he was an absolute walking idiot?
The bassist knew Italian because his father had Italian origins and he hoped that learning it would have meant connecting to him… yeah it was before he discovered he was an asshole. What a fucking dumbass he was when he was younger! At least he had the opportunity to meet some amazing Italian-American folks while he was a runaway, so jokes on his dad because the chicks really dig dirty talk in another language.
Tommy loved the fact that he was bilingual, well technically so was the drummer, but he thought his Greek was quire rusty, and he constantly nudged him to say something because “you sound so cool mate! I wish I could speak my Greek that smoothly too.”
He looked the drummer into the eyes, he was always so fucking excited for everything and that only made Nikki feeling even more for him, fuck if only he had the cuts to tell him how he really felt. He wasn’t a coward simply he knew he could never be with Tommy without major consequences, however that doesn’t mean it hurt any less.
“Ti amo idiota.(I love you idiot)” The words left his mouth before he could stop them… fuck, fuck, fuck!!!
“Mh… what does that mean?” Tommy asked confused but with his silly drunk smile.
Great now he was panicking because how he was supposed to tell him that he just admitted to be in love with him?
“It means you are an idiot.” It was such a lame answer but hopefully Tommy was too naïve and drunk to care.
“Oh… then ti amo idiota, too Nikki.” Tommy giggled, but Nikki felt his stomach drop. It felt like the universe was taunting him by having his wonderful Tommy saying I love you to him without even knowing it or meaning it!
He started to feel emotional and fuck was not the alcohol supposed to help with that? It was just so fucking unfair that he was in love with the drummer but they could never be together, no holding hands or kissing or any other sappy bullshit.
Tears were forming at the corners of his eyes and he knew he had to go or otherwise he would have shown his vulnerability and he fucking hated that, he needed to drink so he stood up and quickly followed him.
“Ti amo idiota.” He repeated with a laugh and Nikki wanted to fucking die.
He needed a drink. Now!
- - -
Tommy woke up in Nikki’s room. It wasn’t unusual for the Twins to fall asleep in each other’s rooms when they were too drunk to reach their own, so usually one of them would pass out on the floor and now was Tommy’s turn.
He couldn’t help but staring the bassist who was sleeping on the bed, he was head over heels for him but he would never admit it. Sure he was all love all the time but with Nikki it was different, he meant too much to him to potentially ruin everything by confessing his crush, so instead he was rotting into this unrequited love pain that made him jealous and angry.
Why couldn’t he be just like his parents that fell in love as soon as they met each other? No he had to suffer. They didn’t even speak the same language and they manage to get married meanwhile he knew Nikki for a while now but couldn’t have found the courage to tell him the truth. Sure he wouldn’t give up but he wasn’t sure how long he could still resist.
However, something else was on his mind too, Nikki seemed acting weird all the previous night, especially after he asked to him to say something in Italian. It’s like his eyes dimmed for a moment after he said that to him, could it be because speaking in Italian reminds him of his dad? It didn’t seem like that, there must be something else going on for sure, but what?
Tommy knew a thing or two about using another language to say stuff you don’t have the guts to say in English… It’s not like he wrote silly nicknames in Greek for Nikki whenever he had to leave a note for him about buying stuff or that he went outside. Sometimes Nikki asked what it meant and Tommy would always say an insult.
“Oh, it means you are a dumbass!”
He heard someone stirring and soon enough Nikki was staring at him with his eyes half open.
“Fuck my head hurts so bad” His raspy voice was too much for the poor Tommy who quickly decided to go grabbing some painkillers for both of them, anything to prevent having a fucking boner, but when he entered back the room he saw Nikki with his eyes closed again. He looked at his relaxed face and black hair, which did not hide his eyes like it usually would be and he could not help whispering something to him.
“σ' αγαπάω Nikki” (I love you Nikki). He learned that from his mom since she constantly told his dad how much she loved him.
However, Nikki was not asleep and Tommy’s whisper was not as quiet as he thought because he saw the black haired man turning toward him.
“What did you say?”
Panic. Tommy wasn’t usually the type that gets easily scared but right now his brain decided to shut down, leaving him unable to formulate any words. Fuck what he was supposed to say now? He wasn’t even sure if he remembered English at that moment!
“You are an idiot… it means that, ya know like you said to me yesterday.”
Nikki seemed hurt but he quickly shrugged it off and took the pills.
“Fuck you T-Bone!” He scoffed, but then he let out a laugh.
There’s no way he could have held it for much longer. He was screwed, so fucking screwed.
---
Mick was sick and tired of watching the Twins being oblivious, they were obviously in love yet they seemed to be blind. It was getting frustrating because anyone could see Tommy’s love struck expression whenever Nikki wasn’t looking or how the bassist seemed to hate anyone but Tommy.
He suspected they used their languages to say stuff the other couldn’t understand and honestly he was sick of not understanding a fuck so he started to write down what they said and search it on the dictionary. What? He was sometimes bored and this situation seemed interesting, especially if it meant that the two idiots would have been finally together and that he could use this information against them.
“What are you doing Mars?” Vince looked at the older man curious, trying to understand what he was reading.
“I’m trying to translate whatever the Twins said to each other yesterday morning.” He said nonchalantly.
“Wait you know Greek and Italian? Don’t tell me you have been learning it just so you could understand them!”
“ Well I’m sick and tired to hear them saying shit and not understanding it, now they can’t fool me and I’ll know whatever they are saying how much they love the other or plotting to make the kitchen explode! However, especially I’m so over the fact that they can’t tell each other their true feelings” Mick said firmly.
“How are you going to make them confess though?” Vince looked both scared and confused.
“Well I will tell them what the other really meant!”
“You scare me man… bruja” Vince whispered the last part.
“Hey, do not call me a fucking witch!” Mick replied threatening.
“ YOU ARE DOING THE SAME WITH ME TOO?”
“No more fucking with me in Spanish, Malibu Barbie!”
---
Mick plan was simple: smacking them with the truth and making sure they wouldn’t run away, for that he instructed Vince to block the door at any cost.
“Nikki will try to escape so you must prevent that.”
“Why me Mars? Furthermore, how am I supposed to do that?” Vince asked confused.
“Well I know that you can fight and because if you do not do that I’ll tell Nikki what you say about him in Spanish when he doesn’t hear you.” The guitarist replied with a smile.
“Oh c’mon, that’s pure evil. You are the devil!”
Right at that moment, the front door opened and Nikki stepped in, soon followed by Tommy who looked like a puppy with heart eyes only for the older man.
“What are you doing Mick?” The drummer asked curious.
“Nothing much, I was reading stuff… did you know that “Ti amo” means I love you in Italian? Does not Nikki say that a lot?” Mick shot Vince’s a glare and Nikki’s eyes got huge as he understood what was going on, but before he could get out the blond quickly went to lock the door right before he could reach it.
Nikki looked like a caged animal, terrified yet ready to fight anyone, it scared him very bad because what if Tommy got angry or decided to end their friendship? What if they kicked him out of the band or they left him like anyone else in his life? Suddenly he felt so fucking angry with Vince for blocking the door because he needed to get out and escape all this situation! He couldn’t give any explanations
He was about to charge on Vince and knock him out of the way but Tommy’s voice cut through his train of thoughts.
“ Wait you told me that yesterday. Does this mean…” Tommy looked confused as fuck but before he could do anything Mick continued, adamant into making both boys suffer in misery.
“Also I discovered that I love you in Greek is written like this “σ' αγαπάω” He showed a piece of paper “ Which isn’t very similar to what Tommy always writes on his notes?”
Now it was Tommy’s turn to be absolutely shocked and scared as his eyes bolted anywhere but where Nikki was. It had to be a joke, right? They were playing with his feelings because they knew he loved Nikki and all of this was a big prank… unless it wasn’t. However, that would have been too good, even for a hopeless romantic like him, he needed to know the truth.
“Nikki… “ He stopped and Mick to take as the signal that they should have left the two boys alone, so he took a very interested Vince and pulled him away.
“They are right it means I love you, I couldn’t find the courage to tell you so I said it but in a way you wouldn’t understand. I love you Nikki, so much but I didn’t want to ruin our friendship…”
Tommy never felt afraid but at that moment he knew he could have lost everything from his band to his best friend, but also he knew he had to be the first one to speak otherwise Nikki would have never done it. The bassist still looked at the ground but he took a deep breath and he started talking.
“ Fuck Tommy I’ve liked you for as long as I can remember, but I was so fucking terrified you would never want to see me again if I told you my real feelings! I couldn’t lose you or the band so I just didn’t say it. You have no idea how many fucking time I just wanted to pick you and make you mine!"
His eyes were still glued down, but he forced himself to look at Tommy, noticing his big smile and how his eyes were lit up for joy. He couldn’t help but smile back because he looked absolutely gorgeous like that, little did he know that Tommy felt the same way about him, a smiling Nikki was a beautiful Nikki.
They stayed like this for a couple of seconds until Nikki felt something inside him and before his brain could stop him, he cupped Tommy’s face and kissed him on the lips. It wasn’t sweet but neither super heated, it was just a passionate kiss, one that held all the longing and promises they would make to each other. It was a kiss of hope and courage, and a kiss between two people who are not afraid anymore.
Tommy was the first to pull away but only because he wanted to hear Nikki say something.
“Can you say it again, please?”
“ Ti amo, idiota.” Nikki said with a smile. Saying I love you felt still very scary but this was different in a way, even if it was the same meaning. He was sure one day he would be able to say it in English too.
“ I love you too, idiot!” Tommy replied hugging the bassist.
“Wow how did you know that it would have worked?” Vince whispered, as he was totally not spying his friends kissing.
“Call it six sense.” Mick replied shrugging his shoulders.
“Bruja”
“I heard you, little blonde bitch.”

Feigning Idiocy
Niragi Suguru
Warnings: swearing, weapons
You had never had trouble defending yourself. Even in the borderlands. You'd grown up with a father who was in the military(no, I didn't, my friends have, and their dad is terrifying-) and so, he taught you how to defend yourself. Weapons, hand to hand combat. Just about anything to keep you, his precious daughter, safe.
When you first arrived at the Beach, you were confused. You were just passing by, but saw the lights. You thought only game arenas had power? You grabbed a rock, and threw it in to make sure it wasn't an arena. Nothing happened. "How?" You questioned out loud. You shrugged, deciding you'd rather leave it alone than go towards it. It seemed menacing to you. But, plans don't go the way you want them.
You groaned, opening your eyes. It was dark. More like there was something over your head. You heard whispers of 'she's awake' ruse throughout what you assumed was a room. Whatever was on your head was taken off. Your eyes burned from the sudden exposure to light. "Son of a bitch, that burns... agh, fucking hell," you cursed, trying to bring your hands up to rub your eyes, before noticing they were tied. "Well that's not very lady like," someone snickered. "And that's not very brave of you. Say it to my face instead of behind me coward," you retorted. People gasped at your words. They expected to knock you out and you not cop an attitude with them? What kind of crazies were they. You felt the cold metal of something press into your back. You laughed. "Oh, how lovely. A gun. As if my day couldn't get worse," you said sarcastically. "I wouldn't test my luck if I were you," the person threatened. "Mhm, well I do so love testing how far I can go, as well as testing people's patience. So, go ahead. Shoot me you coward."
That had been a few days ago. Now, you were stuck at the beach. You had a pretty high number, as your cards had been pretty high. You figured out that the person threatening you was called Niragi. Everyone feared him, except you. You constantly challenged him. People assumed you were crazy or that you had a death wish. When in reality, you actually found the man interesting. And maybe a tad bit attractive. But that was kept to yourself.
You found yourself walking around the Beach, looking for something to entertain you. Or rather... someone. And you eventually fund that someone sitting by themselves in a clearing. It was still part of the resort, you guessed, seeing as no one was guarding it. You walked over, sitting besides him, curling your knees up to your chest, looking up at the night sky. "Don't you have anyone else to annoy with your presence," he grumbled. You looked back at him, and shook your head. "Didn't come here to bother you," you said. That was partially true. You came to see if you could get anything from this man. Any sort of response that wasn't anger or annoyance. He looked at you before sighing, going back to staring into the open before him. You took notice of the targets set up, and guessed this must be where they do target practice. "I always assumed you used traitors as target practice," you giggled. You heard him chuckle, and your smile grew. You might get somewhere. "No, no we don't. Although that is an idea," he said. You nodded, taking noticed of the gun besides him. You smirked, getting an idea. "Say... Niragi... could you teach me how to shoot?" You asked, acting stupid. Of course you knew how to shoot a gun, you just wanted to see some progress with him. He stared blankly, looking at his gun, then at you. "Does the oh so brave (Y/N) want to learn how to shoot a big girl gun?" He teased, grabbing his riffle, and standing up. You stood up, nodding, "Yes please."
He handed you the gun, and stood behind you. "Ok... put this hand here... and your dominant hand on the trigger. This part here goes on your shoulder..." he explained, grabbing your hands, placing them were they need to be. He fixed your stance, and you smiled. Your plan was going well. "And when you shoot, brace yourself. It's gotta little bit of a kickback, so yeah. I'll stand behind you just in case though," he said. You took aim purposely wrong, and shot. The kickback wasn't bad, but you still pretended to stumble a bit.
This went on for half the night, until you decided you had gotten far enough. "I just want you to know, I've been faking not knowing how to shoot this whole time," you admitted. "I know," he said. Your eyes grew wide. "What? How?" You asked. You were now a bit mad at the fact he'd seen through you. "You were aiming off on purpose. Really? Not one time did you hit a target? Even our trainees at least hit the edge of one," he said. You cursed yourself. "I just want to know... why?" He asked. You looked down. Why did you? Was it because of boredom? No, not really. Was it because you wanted to annoy him? No, that wasn't it either. "I think... I think I did it because... I don't want to be just... the girl that annoys you. I find you interesting, and I just don't know how to express myself that well. I didn't know how to go about saying I wanted to get closet to you, so I guess that's why," you answered. "Cute," was his only answer. You looked up at him, seeing him smirk. "So all of that because you have a crush on me?" He teased. You blushed, "Maybe..."
The rest of the night was filled with his endless teasing, your sassy remarks, and maybe a tiny spark was ignited.

Kamaboko Squad w/ a Same Personality Reader
Synopsis: Headcanons for the main trio - Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke - with a reader who acts like them
A/N: So while Tumblr won’t notify people about my stuff, I’ll be doing scenarios I guess??? Also, I wanted to try my hand at branching out to other characters so of course, I’ll be starting with some light Kamaboko stuff
☀Tanjiro
Mommy and daddy (or maybe Mommy x2 haha)
That’s it
That’s your dynamic
But in all seriousness, you guys are basically the parents of the Demon Slayer Corps (second only to the Ubayishiki couple lol)
You’d parent the Pillars, too, if they’d sit still long enough
The first time you guys meet you’re helping out in the Butterfly Estate and he came in battered really badly (maybe after the Rui incident)
You try to parent him immediately, of course
At first, something was bothering him a bit, but he couldn’t put his finger on it. Was it that you were really pretty? He didn’t know
And then he realized you were really nice. Like not even Shinobu and Aoi were that sweet.
And he’s actually caught off-guard because??? No??? Stop that??? That’s his job??? But also please continue???
(he hasn’t had his parents in a couple of years and he got whiplashed to feel motherly love again but shhh we ain’t getting into that)
What made him completely drawn to you was how you liked Nezuko right off the bat
No judgment whatsoever
Just immediately mama bird mode
“Oh, she’s a demon?”
* Tanjiro is panicking because what if you overreact *
“Y-yeah, but-”
“You poor thing. You’ve gone through a lot, huh? Don’t worry, we’ll protect you, okay? But I guess you don’t need us when you have a really dependable brother protecting you already.”
* cue Tanjiro’s heart going doki-doki *
“Mmph!” Nezuko has accepted you as a big sister
Welcome to the Kamado family congrats
“T-Thanks! But I think she’s been protecting me more. She’s really strong, after all.”
“Nonsense! I mean I bet she’s really strong, but you should give yourself more credit, Tanjiro-kun. You even stood against the Pillars for her.”
Well that just confirmed that you’re the best person in Tanjiro’s book (second only to Nezuko, of course)
You’re like the pair who constantly hype up your friends
HEAD PATS ABOUND (YOU GET A HEADPAT. EVERYONE GETS A HEADPAT)
Oh but you’re not all smiles, though
If Tanjiro beats people up or headbutts them into submission, your words are like a whip
No Mercy Mode™
You just straight dig into someone, especially if they’re being very stubborn or rude
The Kamaboko Squad have been on the receiving end of your lectures once
And they all unanimously agree: never again
You and Tanjiro sort of become one another’s support systems
You can only be the support system of so many others before you start needing your own
It was nice to be dotted on every once in a while
Also, no one knows, but when you’re put into a mission together, you two are a little more childish
Of course, you’re still a bit parent-ish then because Nezuko is with you guys
But at least you can forget life’s horrors for a little bit and be the kids you never got to be
⚡Zenitsu
First of all, y’all are a mess
Like everyone wonders how you’re still alive
They also think you shouldn’t be put in the same mission
Because, you know, y’all are (cowards) scaredy-cats
But Oyakata-sama figured out it’s best to let you guys go together
You were still Demon Slayers after all
It was difficult. Like really difficult. Not the mission - just you two
Y’all didn’t want to go
“H-he-hey, how about we take a break to-tonight?”
“Ha..haha… y-yeah you’re right. They’ll be fine for one more night, r-r-right?”
Of course, you guys still go (because you felt bad)
“I-I’ll go if you do. D-deal?”
“O-okay! Ju-Just don’t leave me, got it?”
You both are shaking like crazy
You have to take turns pushing one another to get moving
When Zenitsu (faints) falls asleep and he starts fighting really amazing, you’re stupefied
Bro was holding out on you wtf?!
You’re still shaking like a leaf but if Zenitsu was going to fight then so were you
Zenitsu later wakes up to you crying, your sword in hand, and the demon gone
He, of course, assumes it’s you who defeated the demon
“(F/N)-CHAN I’M SO GLAD YOU’RE WITH ME THANK YOU-”
“But Zenitsu-kun, you-”
“-I LOVE YOU PLEASE DON’T EVER oof”
You basically tackle him to get him to shut up
Y’all are a crying mess
He doesn’t believe it when you try to tell him that he defeated the demon, so you let it go (for now)
You end up being close friends since you’re always on the same wavelength
You’re basically the same person after all
God help Tanjiro when he’s put in a mission with you two
He basically has to babysit two whiny children
God help you and Zenitsu if you’re alone with Inosuke
He brings Zenitsu along as a punching bag and you go with them because Zenitsu literally cries at your feet to have moral support
One time, Inosuke used you both as bait
But he got mad when Zenitsu ended up taking the demon down
Now he just leaves you two if you keep whining and crying
All that aside, you guys get each other
So you talk about your insecurities without fear of being judged
Feeling like you’re not enough
Feeling like you’re the worst of the worst of the Demons Slayers
“But I don’t want to be a burden to anyone anymore.”
“R-Right? I want to help people. S-so, uh, let’s promise to be better!”
“You’re right, (F/N)-chan! We’ll both be better!”
You guys keep saying that, but you still try to skip the next mission
🐗Inosuke
Y’all are loud as all hell
People straight up leave the room when the two of you enter
You legit found each other because you were both yelling
“How DARE someone be louder than me?”
And it all just went downhill from there
You guys are always trying to out-compete one another
Stealth missions are almost impossible with how loud the two of you are
“Oi, (Wrong Version of Your Name)! Bet you can’t find the demon before I do!”
You say his name wrong, too, just to piss him off
“Shut up, Imotsute! I bet I can make them cry before I kill them.”
“What?! No, you can’t. I bet I’ll-”
You still get the job done, of course
But no one really wants to go with you two
Not when you’re bickering the whole way
Also, you’re pretty reckless and almost no one was down to look after two idiots
Of course, Tanjiro and Zenitsu can stand you enough to go on missions
Zenitsu doesn’t really have a choice because Tanjjiro is coming along
Also y’all drag him to your misadventures against his will to be a proper “judge” to your competitions
Tanjiro comes along to make sure y’all don’t die
You’re oblivious af, too
Especially when it comes to affection
You constantly fight over praise from Tanjiro
Tanjiro: “That was amazing! Good job!”
“Hear that? He said I was amazing!”
“The hell that was meant for you. He said that for me!”
But once y’all understand appreciation and compliments
You guys are trading those with one another, mostly just to try it out
But also because Tanjiro:
“Have you guys tried to have a competition on who can compliment the other better?”
“Bet I’ll win! Hey, Bakasuke, you, uh, fight good.”
“HAHA! You admitted I’m good!”
“I’m still BETTER though!”
Pretty soon you’re complementing each other in the battlefield
Which hella confused people who trained with you
“Hell yeah! Fuck ‘em up, (F/N)!”
“Thanks, Inosuke! You better not fall behind. Wreck ‘em good, too!”
“You know I will!”
You went from trash-talking each other to trashing on everyone else (mostly demons)
You still have competitions of course. No one backs out of those
You guys occasionally learn about life together, too
“Inosuke, look! What the hell is that? It’s gigantic!”
“Looks like a monster to me. Come on - let’s beat it up. Bet we can take it down no matter how big it is!”
“That’s a steam engine train, you dumbasses.” (Zenitsu)
Life is loud two times more but it’s never been this fun before
