while everyone has the right to raise their child with the ethics they so desire, i do think it’s hilarious when xtians INSIST they aren’t indoctrinating or brainwashing their kids but also refuse to put them in public school (or even private xtian school), only socialize them within xtian circles like youth group or their church’s homeschool co-op, and rigorously vet any secular media so their kids doesn’t “reject the faith.” like uh. if your faith is so weak you have to hide your kids away from anybody on the outside so they never even think to question it…….. it doesn’t exactly sound legit

as someone who isn't a huge fan of the Luke Carder POV aspect of Inscryption, would you be willing to share what you dislike about it? personally I feel like it breaks my immersion but I'm curious to see if it's just me :0
maybe the immersion breaking isnt what bothers me since that's going to happen regardless in act 2, but the fact he's... really annoying and unlikable to me sadly... i feel nothing but seething hatred every time he mocks leshy's bosses if you're repeating act 1 after beating leshy. i dont want to be a fucking tuber guy, i want to be me! why cant i just be Me or an anonymous challenger? you're anonymous in pony island and even the hex and it feels a lot more personal and satisfying. i get its supposed to be jarring to go from the cabin to the footage but theres way to make a game erratic and meta without making it feel like im eating soap
this post pretty much sums up how i feel about the video segments and ending. inscryption really did not have to be like mullin's other games lol
and i know luke is a vessel to carry Plot B and while i wish there wasnt even a Plot B there could absolutely have been a way to have this meta-narrative happen while keeping the player anonymous! imagine you beat leshy and your game crashes revealing the player's desktop like on the Freaking inscryption website!!
and every time you go to your desktop there's new notepad files about the player's thoughts! you can go through their emails emailing gamefuna!!
maybe even further, imagine youre able to stand up from your desk and walk around your room, mirroring the moment leshy lets you stand up from the table! god just anything from having to watch a tuber guys fucking annoying videos and have him commentate over MY game and have him have MY steam friends augh augh augh augh

character voice tag
I’m making a tag game because i want to and no-one can stop me. (also i love character voice it’s one of my favourite things)
Rules: Rewrite the line of dialogue from the person who tagged you into the voice of your OC’s! (You can include a short beat of action to help establish character if you want.) Pass on the tag with a new line of dialogue.
I’ll start with what else - “Hello, how are you doing?”
Sorrow: A flash of too-sharp teeth accompanied the infernii’s slow smile. “Well, now—hello and how are we doing this fine evening?”
Leshanna: “Hello—that is, good morning? Afternoon? Good afternoon! How do you do?”
Rainier: “Hey, how’s it going?”
Vivien: The pale, skinny boy doesn’t make eye contact, far more interested in picking at a split nail. “Hi.”
since this is a new game, i’m going to tag a bunch of you. fly free, little tag game! @eccaiia @ahordeofwasps @oh-no-another-idea @cherrybombfangirlwrites @memento-morri-writes @mjjune @loopyhoopywrites @sam-glade @dogmomwrites @talesfromaurea
Your dialogue is: “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

not necessarily my typical "art," per se, but my friend @cookieg122 and I have been building a lot in Minecraft lately and I wanted to share one of the builds we made!
this here is a hidden Spirit Tree located deep within the world; one that houses the spirits of the ancient Royal Family that used to inhabit the area above. it's considered to be a pretty sacred place, so in order to protect the tree, the knowledge of its existence and location is only shared with the direct descendants of the royal bloodline.
tbh, we thought this was way outside of our skill level when we went into it, so it was kind of a challenge to try and figure everything out (especially the tree itself - as neither of us have built a custom tree before). but at one point in the building process, we just hit this "flow" state and somehow made it work? I've never had that happen to me before, because normally I hate building in general, so it was definitely an Experience.
so yeah! I hope y'all like it, we're both really proud of how it turned out so I had to share! :'D

Cannot describe the confusion I felt upon playing through hl2 for the first time then seeing tons of fanart of Barney Calhoun when looking in the tags afterwards. Like he was such a nothing character to me. I was like well maybe there's more content of him in the episodes? No. He's not even in one of them. And the fandom acts like he's the best character in the whole game sometimes 🤨
