“Mama Y/n..”
Did he hear him right? Did his son just call his teacher mama?
Katsuki scowled at this. He was trying to keep himself calm as he put Kazui back to bed and left the bedroom fast. This time, he shut the door as calmly as he can not to wake Kazui and made his way to the kitchen.
“What the fuck have you been teaching Kazui, huh!”
The loud voice made you stop pouring the sauces onto each plate and looked at Katsuki who was slowly nearing you.
“W-what?” You were confused. You didn't know what you did wrong.
“What the fuck have you been teaching to my son huh,” Katsuki repeated his voice raising.
“N-nothing! What would I teach him?” You were so confused. Earlier everything was fine, now here you are, face to face with an angry Bakugou.
“I don't know what you did to him, but this is the last time you’ll take care of him! I don't care if you're his teacher. You are not to take him in this shitty-ass apartment, ever again!” Katsuki yelled slamming his hand on the counter, trying to not activate his quirk.
Hearing him say this, Y/n’s heart throbbed painfully. She didn't know what she did exactly and why was he suddenly like this to you.
“B-bakugou. I really have no idea, please. Believe me.” Y/n looked him in his eyes showing him your honesty. You were really clueless.
Katsuki who was staring back at you saw how you have really no idea what he was talking about. He simply looked away and ran his hand through his hair.
“You really have no fucking idea, huh,” Katsuki said with a lower voice this time.
“Please. I really don’t..” You mumble wiping a tear from your eye.
Katsuki hesitated at first. He wasn't sure if he should really trust you or if this is only an act. But seeing you wipe a tear from your eye made him feel terrible. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself before speaking.
“He calls you mama.”
Y/n didn't miss how his scowl deepened mentioning this. She sniffed a little bit before trying to compose herself.
“I need to tell you something.” She mumbled, head hanging low.
Katsuki slightly turn his head to look at you after he heard what you said.
“When we got home. Eer, I mean. When we reached my apartment, I was preparing our dinner when he suddenly asked me something and made me stop.” She said as she tucked a hair to her ear.
“What is it,” Katsuki commanded listening intently, his gaze never leaving her face.
“He asked if I could be his mother. I told him it was not possible so he cried.” Y/n said recalling the scene from earlier. She could remember how broke Kazui looks making her heart throb in pain. “He said why he doesn't have a mom, why he couldn't have a mom, and started crying.”
When Katsuki heard this, he couldn't help but close his eyes in despair. He didn't know his son is feeling this way. Was that the reason why he was asking for his mother?
“It pains my heart seeing him cry. I love Kazui. Like my own child. But at that moment, I couldn't do anything. I couldn't say no because I can't.” You said, tears streaming from your eyes. “All I did was apologize and carry him. Embrace him as much as I can.” You sniffed. “Then after a few minutes, he calmed down. I found out he was asleep. So I put him on my bed and just went back to cooking.”
After you told him what happened, there was an uncomfortable silence.
“She left.”
Y/n slightly look up to look at Katsuki who suddenly started talking.
“After she gave birth. Kazui’s mother just vanished without any trace.” Why was he saying this to you anyway? “I got home hearing Kazui crying. I made him a bottle of milk not bothering to change. I was helpless. I didn't know what to do when I checked my home empty. All her clothes were gone, jewelry. Even the money I stacked for emergencies. It was all gone.”
You stared at Katsuki in pity. So that's what happened.
Katsuki looked at you seeing how you were staring at him in pity making him tch.
“Don’t fucking look down on me.” Katsuki looked away. “I did what I had to do. I asked for my parent's help.”
“You were brave, Bakugou..”
Your statement made him fully look at you. He saw how sincere you are. How honest. How innocent. So unlike his ex-wife. Now he gets why Kazui was so attached to you.
“Papa?”
The small voice made both eyes widen. Katsuki looked behind him, and you, looked behind Katsuki both seeing Kazui waking up from his nap.
“Are you fighting?” Kazui looked at both of you.
“No, sweetie. Why would we fight?” Y/n smiled at Kazui.
“Papa?” Kazui looks to his papa asking for confirmation.
“Were not, brat,” Katsuki said ruffling Kazui’s hair.
Kazui lifted his arms up, asking to be carried but Katsuki rejected him.
“I thought you said you were too old to be carried,” Katsuki smirked but carried Kazui anyway.
Once Kazui settled in his arms, he looked at Y/n who just smiled at him.
“Ms. Y/n?” Kazui called.
“What is it, dear?” Y/n said staring sweetly at Kazui.
“Did you cry?”
Y/n stiffened but quickly compose herself. “Of course not, sweetie. Why would I cry?” You said.
Suddenly, Kazui places his small hand on your cheek making you blink.
“Are you okay, Ms. Y/n? Is someone bothering you? I can make papa beat them for you.”
Y/n laughed at what Kazui just said. He didn't know that you cried because of his father. But you’re not going to tell him that, of course.
“I assure you, sweetie. Teacher’s fine, okay?” Y/n gave Kazui a soft smile. “Now why don't you put this plate on the table so we can eat? You know your papa and I waited for you to wake up so we can all eat together.” You giggled seeing Kazui’s excited reaction as he wiggle out of his father’s arms.
“Really! We would eat together?! Yay!!” Kazui quickly grab the plates you were about to hand him and carefully took small steps, trying to spill the food.
Katsuki watches your interaction with Kazui quietly. He was still standing beside you in the kitchen, watching how you lied to his son about not crying.
Was this what it's supposed to feel like to have a wife around?
Katsuki saw how you treated Kazui like your own blood. How motherly you act towards him. No wonder he called you mama. Because he’s seeing you as a mother figure. A mother Katsuki wished Kazui has.
“Bakugou? Are you okay?”
Now here you are, worrying about him too.
“Tch. I’m fine.” Katsuki said about to head where the dining area.
“Wait.” Y/n suddenly said and grab his wrist, causing him to look at her.
“It may be too much to say, but please. Don’t take Kazui away..”
Her eyes. It's always her eyes that he noticed. It's how she shows her true emotions through her eyes.
“Tch.” Katsuki tched and firmly let go of her grasp.
He stood motionless, slowly putting his other hand inside his pocket and then slightly turning his head behind so he can look at her. But he didn't say anything, instead, he walked away.
Y/n looked at his back sadly. She didn't know if that was approved or not. But she tried not to get it inside her head. She took the last two plates from the counter and places them on the dining table where Katsuki and Kazui were now sitting on their own chairs.
“Itadakimasu.”
..
The dinner went well. From Kazui’s rambling, and spilling food everywhere to Katsuki scolding Kazui to not spill the food everywhere and you, just smiling and chuckling, watching the father and son interaction.
After dinner, Kazui was watching TV whilst Y/n clean up the dining table. Unexpectedly, Kastuki suddenly appeared, helping her.
“No, no. It's fine. You're my guess-
“Shut up,” Katsuki mumbled going to the sink and started washing the dishes.
“B-bakugou.” You tried to stop him but he just blocked you from going closer to the sink.
“I said shut up. Wipe the table.” Katsuki threw a soaked tablecloth to Y/n’s face. Noticing it hit her face, Katsuki smirked. But soon turned into a laugh when he saw you pouting.
“Bakugou.” You pouted but threw the cloth back at him, hitting him on his face as well, earning you a laugh.
Katsuki growled in this. “You little shit.” When the cloth slid off reveals his annoyed yet playful face. “Come back here!”
“No!”
When Y/n saw Katsuki took a step, you also took off. Both adult running around the house while Kazui watched in delight, laughing.
..
It was now 10 pm in the evening.
The sleeping Kazui was carried by Katsuki as he left the Y/n’s who were following him behind.
You followed them all the way to their car where you saw Katsuki settle Kazui into his own car seat, making sure that the belt was fastened and closing the door.
“Have a safe travel, Bakugou.” Y/n smiled as she watches Katsuki made his way to the driver’s seat.
But before Katsuki get inside, he looked at Y/n who was looking back at him curiously. “There’s a bag I left in your apartment. Go inside.” Katsuki said tilting his head in the direction of her apartment. “It's dangerous at this hour. You don't have to see us off.” He added.
“T-thank you.” You mumbled, slightly blushing.
“Ha? Tf are you thanking me for? I should be the one doing that.” Katsuki slightly pouts. “I said go.”
“Y-yes.” You stuttered. “G-goodnight, Bakugou.” You smiled slowly turning away.
“Tch.”
Once you entered your apartment, you heard the engine start and gradually, the sound drifted away.
Y/n smiled to herself. She didn't expect Katsuki to have his playful side as well. She thought he was all serious.
Once she locked her front door. Y/n was about to leave the living room when she saw the bag Katsuki was talking about.
She blinked at it curiously as she approached it. When she opened it, she saw a bunch of fruits and flowers and a small note with writing saying thank you. She smiled softly as she read this.

The morning of that day began with you waking Ryusei up with a delicious breakfast in bed. "Happy Birthday my beautiful baby!" you told him when he opened his eyes. He gave you a big smile showing his white teeth and jumped towards you, hugging you around the neck. "You don't have to call me that anymore mommy, I'm grown up" he told you. You died of tenderness, but at the same time your heart broke knowing it was true.
You noticed how Ryu's eyes sparkled when he saw his favorite foods on the tray: mochis, pancakes with chocolate syrup, was accompanied with orange juice and chocolate milk. Ryu loved sweet foods, and although you didn't like that he ate so much sweet because it could hurt him, since it was his birthday, of course you left him.
When he finished his breakfast, you helped him get dressed and you both went to the infirmary so that he could stay with Shoko. "Can't you stay with me even today?" he asked you with a sad face. "Sorry love, but I have to go to work. I promise you that tonight we'll have a great time with everyone, yes?" He nodded a little more happily, "And will you give me the gift I asked for?" he asked and luckily, Shoko just opened the door. "Happy birthday to my beautiful nephew!" Ryu's attention drifted to his aunt and soon the two of them were in each other's arms.
You left Ryusei and went to the training ground where Tetsuo, Rumi and Gojo were already there. It was the same as always, the students trained among themselves, while you and Satoru watched them. You two didn't talk as usual, and you didn't look at each other either.
You were sorry for Ryusei, but you still weren't ready to talk to Gojo, let alone tell him the truth.
But, unfortunately for you, time has already given you several opportunities to tell him, which you missed. So fate would see to it that Ryusei got his birthday present.
It was already getting dark. And in one of the rooms, there were Shoko, Rumi, Ijichi, Ryusei, to your surprise there was also Yaga and lastly you. On the table there was a light blue cake with white details and around it many sweet things and on another smaller table, were the gifts that had been brought to Ryusei. While the room was also decorated with light blue and white balloons.
It was a quiet gathering, all of you chatting and laughing. Soon it was time for Ryu to blow out the candle. You lit the candles and soon everyone sang happy birthday to him. You picked up Ryu and he blew out all three candles. You smiled happily and kissed him cheek lovingly. "I love you" you whispered and he kissed you back on the cheek, "I love you more, mommy."
After blowing out the candles, they kept talking and having a nice time all together. Until Ryu yelled excitedly: "let's play hide and seek!". You were about to say no, since they were all big people and you didn't think they wanted to play that game, Ryusei's favorite. But Shoko spoke before: "Let's play". Rumi and Ijichi agreed, the latter a bit intimidated by Ryu, who almost forced him to play. You turned to Yaga thinking that he would say no, but to your surprise, very seriously he said: "I'll play."
"Mom counts!" Ryusei said and ran off, soon the others followed. You didn't give much thought to the fact that your son was out there by himself, so you just closed the loop and started counting.
Ryusei was running through the corridors trying to find a good hiding place. Hide and seek was his favorite game and he hated being found first. He looked at possible places, but none convinced him. In a corner he turned and for not looking well, he ended up colliding with someone.
Ryusei's gaze was on the person's legs since he was very tall. He looked up and saw a man, with hair the same as his and with bandages covering his eyes. "Sorry" Ryusei apologized, but for some reason he didn't leave.
Satoru walked through the halls with his hands in his pockets. He was ready to go to his apartment, where Megumi and Tsumiki were waiting for him. When he suddenly noticed how a small body was approaching he did it quickly and bumped into it.
Gojo couldn't believe his eyes. In front of him was a boy with his same hair color, his same eye color. He was just like him.
Satoru couldn't understand what was happening. Many things were going through his mind. Maybe he was dreaming? no, he was pretty sure he was awake. Perhaps there was some rupture in space-time where his child self and his adult self met? either, everything seemed to be normal. So why the fuck was there a kid exactly like him?
Ryusei couldn't understand what was happening either or really, he couldn't understand what he was feeling. Being in front of that man, he felt a kind of energy shock, it was strange. Ryusei was a little intimidated by the tall man, but at the same time, he was very curious about him.
On the other side were you. You finished counting and went looking for them. You checked every room you came across, but you never found anyone. You'd be lying if you said you weren't excited, you felt like a little girl.
You turned a corner and found yourself with a scene that took away all your emotion and, on the contrary, made your nerves invade you.
Ryusei and Satoru face to face.
Quickly, father and son, turned to see you. You weren't surprised that Satoru noticed your presence so quickly, but you were surprised that Ryu did. "Mom" Ryusei said.
Gojo felt a chill run through him when he heard how the boy identical to him called you mom.
He turned to look back at the child and realized that he didn't seem to be more than three years old, the same number of years since you left. Memories of you throwing up, memories of him noticing how you ate more than usual and how you had frequent emotional swings, washed over him.
And as if his mind were a puzzle and memories were the pieces, he felt everything coming together and fitting together perfectly.
That boy was his son

Stay With Me (Charlie Walker)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Charlie Walker x Fem!! Reader
Warnings: The usual curse word here and there
This is a lil enemies to lover for you. I hope you enjoy thanks for reading ❤️❤️I really appreciate it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I never really liked Charlie Walker. When I first moved to Woodsboro he would tease and taunt me until I broke, all so he could impress his friends. He spread a rumor about how I gave it up to him at some party once, and everyone would call me these horrible names. That was my breaking point, that was the first time I stood up for myself for once, and the first time I ever punched someone in the face. Since that day we have been at each other’s throats.
Our hatred for each other was so bad I couldn’t even go to Cinema Club, and I fucking love movies. But I already have to see him in two of my classes and lunch, so why would I want to be around him after school as well. Kirby tried to convince me to come but I couldn’t stand it. So now I just go home and watch TV alone. Since my grandma is working at the hospital all the time. I’m home alone a lot.
I am sitting in my last class of the day impatiently waiting for the bell to ring. I zone out looking at the clock when I feel a tap on my arm. I already knew who it was because he does it every day. “You coming to Cinema Club today? you know it’s the anniversary.” He says “First off why are you talking to me like we are friends? And second why would I want to celebrate a bunch of teenagers getting murdered?” I reply, a disgusted look plastered on my face “You’re so fucking weird, you know that.” I continue, packing up my things and walking out of the room as the bell rings. But as you walk out of the room you can’t help but notice the slight frown on Charlie’s face.
On my way to the cemetery I pick up some flowers to put on my mom’s grave it is the anniversary of her death after all. My grandma was gonna come but she got called into work at the last minute so It’s just me. My mom was apart of the original Woodsboro murders. She was killed in our house alone, while my grandma took me to my doctors appointment I was only four when she died. She had me her freshman year after a ‘drunken mistake’ (as my grandma calls it) at her first high school party. She didn’t really know how to raise a child so my grandma did most of it for her, but I don’t love her any less. My grandma tells me lots of stories about her, and how she tried her best for me. I never knew my dad, so I would try to get my grandma to talk about him. But she wouldn’t let up, so after a while I gave up.
I made it to the cemetery, and found her grave. I sat and talked to her for a little, and cleaned up her grave as well. In the middle of my sentence I pause, as I hear someone walking toward me. I look back and it’s Sidney, I stand up quick and face her. We stand in silence for a while, just staring at each other. “You look just like her.” She says breaking the silence “Yeah I get that a lot.” I reply. I sit in the spot that I was in before, and she walks over and sits next to me. I met Sidney a couple time as a kid, her and my mom were friends all through high school until you know what. I didn’t see her much after my grandma moved us out of Woodsboro, she also moved as well, so it’s been a couple years.
“I just wish I got more time with her.” I whisper, my voice breaks, and I break down in Sid’s arms. “I know, it’s going to be okay.” She replies holding me tightly in her arms. Sid and I stay at the cemetery and just talk. Everything is going well with our conversation until I bring up my dad. “Hey Sid, do you know who my dad is? My grandma has never told me, and my mom doesn’t seem to have any pictures or anything of him or with him.” I ask, maybe this was the only way I could finally know about my dad, so I was going to try. “I don’t think that’s my place to tell you, but I will say they kept him away from you for a reason sweetheart.” she replies. After she answers she quickly changes the subject to something else. we talk for about another 15 minutes then go our separate ways. The whole drive home I can’t stop thinking about what Sid said about my dad.
I make it back to the house and walk up to the front door. “Hey y/n, wait.” I hear from across the street I look back to see Charlie getting out of his car, and start to jog towards me. “What do you want now, Charlie?” I ask, not in the mood for his shit at the moment. “I didn’t know she was your mom y/n I’m so sorry for today, Kirby told me after I told her what you said during our last class.” He says, and for once I actually believed him and wasn’t annoyed to be around him. “It’s fine Charlie, but how didn’t you know, we have the same last name? and don’t you know everything about these murders?” I ask “I mean yeah most of it, doesn’t everyone?” He asks “Nope, not me, my grandma kept me away from this town and my mom’s murder for as long as she could.” I reply “But, you could help me with learning about it. you wanna come in?” I ask. if Charlie was going to pity me for the rest of the week why not use it to my advantage.
“Okay so you’re grandma has never mentioned anything that can give you hints about your dad?” Charlie asks, trying to help me find out what happened to my mom and dad. “Nope she did everything in her will power to keep me away from knowing the truth, but I’m sick of her hiding things from me.” I reply “Do you guys have anything that could hold lot’s of old storage? You know an attic, a little room in the basement, a separate bedroom that no one uses, anything like that?” he asks “Yeah why?” I ask furrowing my eyebrows in confusion. “So we can see if she has any picture or anything that can give us some hints, duh idiot.” he replies “Oh fuck off, but yeah we have an attic.” I say “Have you ever been up there?” he asks “No, I didn’t know about it until recently, and I got to scared to go up there.” I reply “scaredy cat” he coughs out “Anyway, what the hell are we waiting for let’s do this fucker you want my help or not.”
We grab some flashlights from the closet and make our way up the ladder to the attic. “Well it isn’t as dusty and scary as I thought.” I saw shining my flash light around. There is a lot up here, but Charlie and I start to dig our way through. About an hour later Charlie finds a box with my mom’s name on it. We take it and go back to my room.
I am too nervous to open it, so I make Charlie do it for me. He starts to look through the box, most of it is picture of my mom with grandma, my mom and I, and her with her friends from school. Charlie keeps digging and finds a diary with my mom’s initials written on it. He flips through the diary, and abruptly stops, a large gasp escapes him, and he quickly closes the book. “Charlie what’s wrong?” I ask, he looks at me with sympathy in his eyes. “I don’t think you should be doing this y/n.” He says, he is frozen still. I snatch the book away and start to flip through the pages. I see his name ‘Stu Macher’ I froze, the book falls out of my hand. I don’t know what to do I don’t know what to think. My body goes weak all I can do is fall to the ground and cry. Charlie runs over to me and hugs me tightly. Whispering you’re okay, and it’s going to be okay, over and over again.
After a while of me crying in his arms. Charlie and I are sitting on my bed in silence. “It’s getting pretty late maybe you should go.” I say, my voice horse from all the crying “I’m not going anywhere, I’m staying at least until your grandma get’s home.” he says, moving my face so I can look at him. “Thanks for staying with me Charlie.” I say hugging him once again. Charlie stayed with me that whole night, even when I confronted my grandma about not telling me who my dad was.
Out of all the people I could’ve had there with me tonight, I never thought I would want it to be Charlie, but her I am cuddled up with him in sweet soothing silence.

mike schmidt headcanons
i’ve never posted before but i’m a huge jhutch fan and i had fun writing these :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mike is absolutely a cat person. the only reason they don’t have a cat is because he was too embarrassed to look “un-manly” and buy one himself. he found one outside at one point, and kept trying to get abby to want to take it in and keep it, but she didn’t really want a pet to have to take care of so mike just let it go. mike leaves leftover food outside for it when he remembers, and stops and spends time with it when it’s lingering outside his porch.
he likes to surprise abby with new toys, even if he doesn’t have the extra money for it. her favorites are dragon action figures and stuffed animals (polar opposites ??) and he finds cool smaller ones at the dollar store. she can tell the difference, but pretends not to notice to make mike feel proud of himself. she also likes them, anyways.
mike drinks a lot of water. he drinks almost nothing but water. he very rarely drinks alcohol because he was invited to a high school party at one point, got super drunk, then jumped on a pool table and tried to do a backflip. he broke his leg and was humiliated, and vowed that he’d never drink again. (not completely true, because he goes for a beer once in a blue moon, but it’s so rare that it barely counts.)
him and abby have a 15 year age difference, but she takes care of him just as much as he takes care of her. when he’s super tired after work, she reminds him to brush his teeth before he goes to bed. she brings him a blanket when he falls asleep on the couch. she grabs his keys when he leaves them on the dining table, the kitchen counter, his nightstand, or her dresser, and puts them on the coat hooks so he’ll never lose them. she picks up on when he’s having really really hard days, and even though it’s hard for her, she eats for him.
(i’ve realized this one really isn’t canon, but i don’t care, it’s cute and i want it) mike has curly hair. abby doesn’t. neither does their mom, or their dad, or their little brother, garrett. (he’s older than abby, but shut up and let me have this) abby is jealous of mike’s curls. so, reluctantly, mike taught himself how to curl hair. he found a cheap curling iron at the convenience store down the street from their house and practiced on himself, burning his hands like crazy, and hiding it from abby. the first time he successfully curled her hair, she gave him the biggest hug and ate her entire dinner without having to be begged.
mike loves cleaning. he hates waking up early, but he doesn’t mind when he gets to turn on his music and spend an entire morning cleaning the house. he also really loves his music. he loves divorced dad rock. nickel back, green day, smash mouth, the black keys, etc. he loves putting a cd (he burned some illegally, abby helped him) into his boombox and blasting it at 7 a.m. he’ll walk into abby’s room, nodding to the music and singing along confidently, waking her up and laughing with her when she makes fun of him. but, still, she helps him clean.
abby is really good in school. she has to be, because mike is a bit of a bumbling idiot when it comes to math and english etiquette. the last time she asked him for help on her homework, even though it was just simple multiplication, mike ended up staring at the page for ten minutes before calling his neighbor to ask if she could help because he was “busy”. (he was bored out of his mind, but he couldn’t figure out what 36x5 was, and was too embarrassed to admit it.)
mike loves sweets, but he prefers his coffee bitter. he has a chocolate stash that he keeps on top of the kitchen cabinets for when abby is really good. he also has it because chocolate is his #1 craving when he wakes up in the middle of the night.
mike loves when abby draws him. sometimes, he’ll find her looking at him while she’s coloring, and he’ll hold the pose for as long as he possibly can to be a useful reference to her. he will never criticize her art. drawing is abby’s comfort place, so even when he’s so upset with her that he could rip his own hair out, he would never even think to insult her artwork.
mike despises shopping. in fact, he despises spending money, which is mostly due to the fact that after his mom died and dad left, he’s never had much of it. and he hates the fact that he has to give so much of it back to a government that hates him. so, to make up for it, he prefers thrift stores. not goodwill, essentially a corporate office that helps no one but it’s filthy rich CEO, but small, local thrift stores. the kind that are always filled with volunteers, whose profits exclusively go to keeping the shop running and a small cause, like dental care for youth in Guatemala or starving kittens who would be put down without proper funds to keep them alive. he likes knowing that his money is going to a good cause, even if he hates handing it over.
mike does, however, love picking out the clothes. he scours through the kids’ section for the brightest pairs of overalls, t-shirts, cardigans, skirts, and sneakers. he loves the look on abby’s face when he finds her a pretty sundress, because the smile that so rarely appears is filled with such innocent bliss. for himself, however, he moves as quickly as possible. he pretty much exclusively wears old hoodies, sweaters, jeans, and work boots. as long as it’s comfortable and in a size medium, it works for him.
that’s all for now but i love thinking about this man so i’ll probably end up writing more eventually 🤷‍♀️ who knows
anyways have a good day <3

New camper: Percy Jackson x reader (daughter of apollo)
A/n: thank you so much for giving this a read! This is my first time writing for the PJO universe so let me know if you like it! Requests are open! No NSFW or Smut! Enjoy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Good morning" Percy said tiredly, greeting his best friend Grover at the dining pavilion, taking a seat next to him.
"Morning" Grover replied, "hey did you see Annabeth on your way here? She's usually the first one here and I haven't seen her yet"
As if almost on cue she was walking towards the boys, an excited smirk painted across her face.
"Camp Half-Blood has a new camper!"
"What?!" replied Percy
"She showed up late last night, all alone. Chiron told me she had been hurt pretty badly but he took her into the infirmary and gave her some Ambrosia"
"She took it? So, she's definitely a half-blood?" Percy asked
"Yep! We should be meeting her later today" Annabeth was ecstatic, she loved new campers!

As the day went on there was still no sight of the new camper. Word had made its way around camp and people began to take their guesses as to who was her parent.
"I hope she's in our cabin!" A child of Aphrodite had said
"No! I bet she HAS to be in ours! Showing up without a Satyr by her side means she's a warrior"an Ares kid chimed
"As long as she's not in ours I dont care" a tired looking Hermes kid said.
It was almost dinner time when Chiron had found Percy, sparring with someone from the Ares cabin.
"Percy can I speak to you for a moment?"
"Yeah sure" he said, removing his helmet and recapping his sword.
"Im sure you've heard we've had a new camper join us."
"Yeah it's all over camp" he replied
"Ah yes. Well let's say she hasn't been thrilled to learn about her new family. Reminds me a lot of you when you first came here"
Percy thought back to his first few days at camp. He was confused, scared, angry, and very much overwhelmed.
"I was wondering if you could help ease her mind by speaking to her. You understand what she's feeling better than I can."
"And im not half horse" Percy smiled
"Yes there is that" Chiron chuckled
"Alright I want to meet her!" Percy agreed. He really did want to help, but he also knew how jealous Annabeth would be that he met her first. The two walked into the big house and there she was, staring down at her feet.
"Y/N, this is Percy, son of Poseidon. Percy this is Y/N. I'm sure you two will get long swimmingly" Chiron chuckled at his own joke, "I will give you two some privacy" with that, he left the room. Leaving the two teenagers alone.
An awkward silence filled the room, when finally Y/N broke the silence.
"Son of Poseidon, huh?" she asked
"That's me" he smiled, proud of the title he held.
"That's crazy, the gods don't exist!"
"They do exist. I know it all feels a bit insane at first but-"
"A bit?! My whole life i've had these things coming after me and I didn't understand why. I thought I was insane and seeing things, but apparently that's normal?! And my dad? The reason he's neglected me my whole life was because he was a god?! There's just no way"
"Hey, it's gonna be ok. I know how you feel. I felt like that when I first got here. All my life my dad wasn't someone I had thought about much because I had my mom, and thats all I needed. Then I find out that he's now the most important thing in my life? I had so many emotions, but if you just give this place a chance? I promise everything gets a lot less scary"
This seem to get to the girl. She started to tear up.
"Ok, i'll try." she whispered
"I'll show you around and it'll all be ok, I promise."
The two made their way around camp, Y/N was mostly silent. "The sun is so warm here, it's not like that where I'm from"
"Everything is a little bit stronger here."
"I can tell" she smiled
"So, do you have any idea who your dad might be?" Percy asked, careful not to poke at the sensitive subject.
"I think but I'm not sure. My mom used to talk about Apollo, a way she never did about other Gods"
"Ok then...then we have to find a way for him to see you! If he see's you, he'll claim you!"
"Yeah but how?"
"Gods dont claim you because they feel like it, you have to work for it" Annabeth said, inviting herself to the conversation.
"Y/N this is Annabeth, daughter of Athena"
"Hey" Y/n said
"Percy have you taken her to the archery field? Apollo kids thrive there"
"No I didn't"
"Seaweed brain c'mon!" Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Lets go" she led the two there and put a bow and arrow in Y/N's hands. The girl had fired it easily and hit the bullseye.
"Beginners luck?" y/n asked
"Go again" Chiron said, but before she could something came flying down at her, she shot it down easily.
"That could've killed us" Percy said, mouth agape, "and you shot it down with ease!" he said
"Look!" One of the campers said
Y/N was becoming engulfed in a bright light and a sun appeared over her head. She was now an official resident of cabin 7

Tonowari X Fem metkayina Reader X Ronal Final part
A/N: This is the last part of this 3-shot series
Part 1, Part 2
----------------------------------------------------
It was in fact not the next morning that you guys got a chance to talk because, for whatever reason, the Tsahik and Olo'eyktan had a lot of things that needed to be done. Your own parents confirmed they were separated tending to meetings and whatever else they needed to do. You wanted to trust them but, confirmation from your parents helped ease the worry and allowed you to bring Aonung to the children to see him as you promised. He was a little over a month old, his eyes wide open as he took in everything while holding onto you rather tightly. It was very endearing and sweet.
"There she goes!" You smiled watching the children and some young teens run up to you and sit in a circle around you waiting excitedly for their turn to see baby Aonung. You made sure they all were calm first and for the younger ones you had them look at Aonung and bless him like they wanted and when you got to the older ones one by one you let them hold him and bless him. Once they were satisfied they thanked you and disappeared to the beach back to their parents or whatever their little hearts desire. You found a tree to stay under and watch over everyone doing work. You were not allowed to do any work the first year of your child's life as per orders of the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik as well as just traditions. He started whining so you moved your shirt enough for him to latch and feed. You looked over the horizon taking notice of Tonowari with Tsireya attached to his chest while he worked on repairing the bars and pens for the baby Ilu's that broke from a storm a couple of days ago.
"Ronal and Tonowari are lucky to have her." Your ears perked up ignoring the way the group of young adults a little ways away addressed them informally curious as to what they had to say about you. "She's so sweet and helpful. She is always quick to help the children and even us whenever we need help. She collects shells and jewels with us, goes hunting, picks herbs and fruits, dances with us, she treats us better than our own Olo'eyktan and Tsahik do." You pretended to not hear them as you tended to Aonung. You found yourself smiling at the way they were talking so nicely about you.
"She really is a gem, she gives great advice actually. I wish Tsahik and Olo'eyktan didn't ignore her the way they did. She gave them a son and should be treating her like the Queen she is. She's young and beautiful too." You felt yourself blushing to turn your face away just so they won't see the color change then they'll know you heard and were actively listening. You should be trying to defend Ronal and Tonowari but, couldn't bring yourself to do so. You enjoyed being complimented and knowing you were loved even if it was a little more than what may or may not be appropriate.
"They don't deserve her, someone else can do a better job at making her happy than they are." You completely tuned them out this time not wanting to hear anyone's names and end up looking at them differently. Aonung had finished nursing so you fixed your top and adjusted him better in the baby wrap so you can go and find his grandparents any one of them. You walked along the beach greeting people here and there allowing them to look at and bless baby Aonung as you made your way to Tonowari's parents' marui knowing more than likely that your parents were there as well. You got closer hearing their voices knowing you were right.
"Ma, papa" You whistled announcing your presence and walking in greeting Tonowari's parents and hugging your mom and dad who quickly took Aonung from you. You smirked taking a seat and watching them all circulate around Aonung who was giggling and looking at all of them. You took the time to look around the marui noticing their song chords and other things around it, the marui was lively, and it looked lived in.
"Ma'ite" You turned your head to Tonowari's mother who tilted her head at you as if asking if you are okay. Smiling you nodded her head allowing her to check you over with her eyes before turning back to Aonung while your parents crowded you and started talking to you. You stayed with them for the rest of the day until it was getting closer to the eclipse. You were about to get up when you heard a child scream turning around to get an armful of Tsireya who was babbling while holding onto your face. You were holding her while out of the corner of your eye, you saw Ronal and Tonowari bowing and squatting while holding a quiet conversation with the grandparents. Tsireya pressed wet kisses all over your face before bolting straight to your parents who grabbed her with ease.
"Ti'yawn?" You raised your eyes to Ronal who was staring at you with her ears folded back. "Would you like to come with us?" You looked at Tonowari and her blankly nodding slowly and turning to your parents who were already waving you away
"We keep Aonung for the night, don't worry ma'ite." You smiled gratefully at your parents turning to Tonowari's parents who already had Tsireya. You waved and blessed them a goodnight knowing what this was about as you followed Ronal and Tonowari who walked with you in between them instead of in front of you. Nothing was said as they held your hand and guided you to the waters calling for their Tsuraks. You were going to call yours but, were pulled onto Tonowari's instead with you in front of him. The three of you took a ride somewhere but, you did enjoy the way the stars illuminated the water. He was sure to not get your privates wet with salt water, you can't be in the water yet. It was a short while later when the three of you made it to a cave-like system you'd never seen before. The three of you made your way inside and what you saw made your jaw drop. There were your favorite foods, torches lit up, woven mats strewn around, and in the center was a pond.
"Come syalung." You allowed Ronal to pull you more in towards the water. "This is not salt water, it is fresh so it will not hurt you or cause infection." You nodded allowing her to undress you and she undressed herself bringing you into the pond. It was nice and warm as well. She pulled you to sit in between her legs as she started taking the braids out of your hair. "Let me do your hair yawntu" You hummed leaning onto her lap as her hands gently carded through your hair. You heard the water splash lightly and you looked in front of you to see Tonowari had taken off everything and had rags and soap coming towards the two of you.
"Can I wash you?" You stared at him and with a small smile, you nodded. You closed your eyes as the two of them took care of you. You loved how gentle and soothing they both were, asking you questions here and there to ensure you were fine and just generally about your day. You missed this. You truly missed having time with the two of them like this. This kind of intimacy was better than anything you can ask, intimacy is never just about sex it's about taking care of each other.
"I'm sorry for being such a bitch to you. You didn't deserve anything that I did to you." Your eyes shot open at the blunt sincerity of Ronal's words but, said nothing listening to her. "I was so selfish and stingy. I treated you as if you didn't belong because I do not have control of my own emotions. That has nothing to do with you, yet I always take my anger out on you and made up with our Wari forgetting about you. My pride and ego always got in the way when they never should have. My pride and ego almost cost me my relationship with you and I cannot blame anyone but myself. I am sorry ma Y/N, ma' yawntutsyip. You do not have to forgive me if you do not, let me prove to you I can be better and do better." It was silent as you took in her words but that's when Tonowari cleared his throat to start speaking glancing at Ronal before focusing solely on you.
"Ma Y/N I am sorry." He allowed his guilt and everything else he was feeling to show on his face as he held your gaze so you can understand his sincerity. "There is nothing I can say for you to truly understand how sorry I am. I had time to think about my behavior and honestly, it was disgusting. Especially when you gave birth to our son, our pride and joy. I was angry and frustrated and took it out on you when it had nothing to do with you. You are my safe space, my love, my yawntu, and yet I treated you as if you were less than me. You are not and never will be. I will continue to apologize and make it up to you until I have earned your forgiveness." He leaned forward pressing his forehead to yours and you felt Ronal's hands leave your hair to rub gently up and down your back and arm. "Will you allow me, this skxqwng to work on earning your forgiveness?" That made you grin and he grinned back at you.
"I will allow it." He breathed a sigh of relief planting a soft but brief kiss on your lips. He pulled away so Ronal can lean over you to face you.
"Can I have a chance too?" You pretended to think about it but smiled softly at her
"Yes." She smiled pressing her lips gently against yours before pulling away the two of them finishing the activities that they were doing for you. The three of you can do this. You knew it in your heart.

Sometimes Werewolves Need Baths Too

Super excited to share this fic and art as my contribution to the @harringrove-relay-race :D
---
The fur on Billy’s back is matted and tangled, clumped up with dirt and forest debris that itches against his skin infuriatingly. Every time he shifts he can feel it tugging at the roots of his fur, pinching his skin with every panting breath that clouds in the cold winter air that has draped over the woods like a smothering icy embrace.
It’s calm, though.
That’s something that life in the lab had never been, not even for a moment. Only pain, and suffering, and sorrow. Howling calls of every other child locked away and experimented on echoing through every empty room.
Living like this, feral and animalistic in these endless frosted woods, will always be preferable to the sorrow of that man-made hell. The air here, though burning cold in his lungs, is fresh and clear. The water runs free in its rivers and the ground beneath the pads of his feet is soft dirt rather than sickly impersonal tiles.
Freedom, out here, is something he would endure any dirt and coldness to keep. No matter that he’ll only ever be safe as a wolf out here, not a boy. He has made too many careless choices around his freedom before now, something he’ll be sure never to do again.
Hunting is difficult. Living in that damn lab for so long had stolen any wild instincts from him, save for that primal need to claw and bite his way to freedom. They could manage though, him and Eleven. They will.
Next to him, she finally catches up from their run and flops down into the crystalised grass, disturbing the frost there. With any luck, it can clean her coat some; or, at least better than Billy has been managing.
Billy doesn’t think he was made to be a big brother. It’d only been him and his mom against the world when he was younger, at least until his mom ran and his dad handed him over like some oddity to be poked and prodded in the name of science.
It’s not going to stop him from trying, because Eleven deserves better than this. Hell, she deserves better than him but he’s the best he can offer here.
Leaning down, Billy licks away a spot of dirt from between her ears. It ruffles the fur there and she huffs at him, kicking out a paw to bat at his leg.
Grumbling at her ungratefulness, Billy trots away.
There was a reason they were running out this way, after all. Hunting is hard, but begging is infeasible… save for one person.
It’s incredibly lucky for them that the Harrington residence backs directly onto the forest where Billy and Eleven have set up their little den and claimed it as their own. Otherwise they’d have never found him, and, especially in those early days, that was all that kept them alive. Without the young Harrington’s generosity, he and Eleven wouldn’t have made it three weeks.
Even after all this time, with nearly a year passing since they broke out, Billy can’t be sure if the Harrington boy knows what they are or just thinks they’re normal wolves. Nearly a year of running, and hiding, and chasing down rabbits to keep them alive and Billy still can’t even tell if the closest thing to a friend they have out here knows that they’re werewolves.
He smelled what Harrington was the first time he came across him, of course. Spending half his childhood shut away with other kids like him and a bunch of humans gave him a good basis for understanding what their kind smells like. It doesn’t matter that Harrington and his dad don’t smell nearly as strong as the werewolves Billy is used to, he can still smell what lingers in their blood.
And, even if he hadn’t, he’d have recognised it the first time the younger Harrington saw him, eyes flashing that familiar amber as he startled. The werewolf in his blood may be weak and distant, but it’s still very much there, and that’s enough for Billy to be certain and Eleven to take a liking to him.
The crunching of tires on gravel gives them pause, but, after pricking his ears, Billy is sure it’s just the Harringtons’ car pulling out of the driveway. Date night, he thinks. Which means it’s just them and the son.
That’s always preferable; Mrs Harrington had screamed the first time her son told his parents about the wolves he saw prowling out the back of their garden. She wouldn’t be happy to know her son feeds them when hunting comes up sparse, and even if Mr Harrington is indifferent Billy doesn’t think he’s unlikely to take his wife’s side.
The teen likes them, though.
His face splits into a hesitant smile when he spots them through the glass doors at the back of his home. Billy and Eleven’s eyes glow out like flickering embers from the darkness of the treeline, hiding in the growing shadows of a darkening hour.
Knowing the house will be empty other than their ally, Billy nudges Eleven forward, keeping a careful eye on her as she walks around the edge of the Harringtons’ covered pool.
The back door slides open and, as they have made their routine, Billy and Eleven hover at the edge of the patio. Harrington, as usual, stays one step from the door. It’s a good truce; enough space for either of them to turn and run.
“Hi,” Harrington greets them, crouching down and tucking his legs under himself to sit and face them. “You haven’t been back for a month.”
Billy chuffs, feeling unfairly chastised, but the effect is minimal with Eleven wagging her tail delightedly. Since they got out, she’s really begun to come out of her shell, especially around Harrington. Billy really wishes she could have friends her age, but in their situation that’s just not safe.
Rolling his eyes at her enthusiasm, Billy settles down on his belly, watching the pair of them from the corner of his eye with a feigned disinterest.
“Are you hungry?”
Billy can almost feel the air shift as Eleven perks up in excitement. Her nose twitches, smelling for any treats he might have hidden away on his person for her.
“Yeah? Great! I’ll get you something. I don’t think there’s much in, but I can… put some chicken tenders in the oven?”
With that, he gets up and lets himself back into his house. It shows a great deal of, frankly, stupid trust in what he perceives to be just some wild wolves that he leaves the door open behind him. Eleven is happy to use that to her benefit, though.
She scurries around to the other side of Billy, trying to peer into the house through the open door to watch Steve make them some food. It’s endearing, of the both of them; Harrington feeding wild animals food from his freezer and Eleven’s delight in his company and the human food it brings.
Truth be told, Billy is excited too. Until Harrington, Billy hadn’t had any human food since his mother was around. It’s nice, a little reminder of the other side of their nature that they’re unable to indulge in anymore.
He’s not sure Eleven had even had chicken tenders until Harrington.
The girl beside him, growing impatient, goes to take a step closer to the house. With a nip to her flank, Billy warns her off that idea as quick as she can even act on it. It’s not something Eleven is too pleased with, given the grumbling growl she lets out, but she does listen to him. He’s glad she still listens to that prerequisite of their escape; she always has to do as Billy says, to keep them safe.
Harrington’s face, when Billy looks back over, has appeared in the doorway. It seems he has seen Billy’s warning, because his face is considering and his feet carry him a step further than their usual place. The closer proximity makes Billy growl, a low warning in his throat.
This isn’t how they do this. For both of their safety, they have the unspoken agreement that they never get closer.
For a moment, it seems as if Harrington remembers himself. He glances away anxiously, stilling there. It’s almost enough for Billy to ease his tension, but then the boy’s shoulders set and he takes another deliberate step forward.
This time, Billy’s on his feet like a shot, snarling openly at him. He doesn’t want to have to attack, or run. He likes what they have with Harrington, it’s saved their skins too many times for comfort, but if he has to give it up to keep Eleven safe, he will. He’s all Eleven’s got and he won’t let anything happen to her just because they trusted the wrong person; even those who have been kind to Billy in the past have betrayed him before.
He thinks of his mother’s face, and the absence of her smell from their house. It was so long ago that he almost can’t remember it.
Eleven seems uncertain too, hesitating in moving away but holding her body tense.
“It’s okay,” Harrington soothes. “It’s okay.”
His tone makes some of the tension bleed out of Eleven’s posture, but that alone has Billy’s hackles rising further. She can’t drop her guard, they can’t afford to! For them it’s the difference between life and death. Friends are just something they can’t risk, no matter what she and Harrington want. No matter what Billy might want.
When Harrington takes another step, Billy’s growl grows even louder. One more step and he’ll be signalling Eleven to run. One more step and he’ll fend Harrington off, no matter what he has to do. One more step and—
“Enough,” Harrington huffs, eyes glowing their steady amber now.
Despite everything, it calms something in him. Amber eyes have meant safety to him, always, no matter what situation they’re in. He wants to pounce when Harrington shuffles another inch closer, but all the fight seems to flow out of him, something in his panicked chest settling.
Harrington stops in arms reach of them, dropping into a crouch in front. Billy remains still as a statue, but Eleven’s tail starts to sway back and forth happily. Harrington’s eyes are still glowing that warm, safe amber and Billy can’t look away. It’s like he’s been hypnotised. Transfixed.
A frown tugs at Harrington’s face as he takes in the state of them, but that doesn’t stop him from offering out a hand for Eleven to sniff. Seemingly content with the offering, Eleven nudges her head against his palm, encouraging him to rake his fingers through her fur.
Even when the texture of it makes Harrington cringe, he obliges. Turning to Billy doesn’t get him met with the same acceptance, though. He’s not prepared to throw away all his caution, not just for some pretty eyes.
“You’re filthy,” he observes, dusting the dried mud off his hands.
As if remembering the discomfort of the filth caking her fur, Eleven shakes and scratches at her skin.
“Yeah, that doesn’t feel good, does it?”
Harrington glances around, looking for a solution to the problem.
“I could hose you off…?”
Billy growls again. There is no way he’s letting some guy hose him down with icy water, no matter how mucky he gets. He'd rather remain filthy than suffer that humiliation.
“Fine, okay. Whatever.”
Harrington huffs, sitting down on the floor in front of them. Eleven happily trots over to his side, dropping her head onto his lap in a bid to receive more affection. Months in these woods have turned her pretty touch starved, no matter how often Billy curls up with her.
Hesitantly, Billy settles down again, keeping a watchful eye on Harrington with Eleven. Just in case.
When a timer goes off in the kitchen, Harrington jumps to his feet and hurries off to take the food out of the oven. It’s a little while before he gives it over to them, letting it properly cool so as to not upset their stomachs, but every bite is heavenly.
“That’s better,” Harrington coos as they eat, reaching out to pet Billy’s fur, not that Billy allows him to actually do that.
Eleven flops down contentedly, but Harrington still looks thoughtful. If he’s about to suggest the hose again Billy will be happy to rethink his thankfulness.
“I’m going to get in so much trouble for this,” he murmurs under his breath before Harrington addresses them again with a clap of his hands. “Okay! Let’s go get you guys in the tub. You need a bath.”
Eleven doesn’t even hesitate before she’s jumping up to follow Harrington into the house. It’s something that Billy doesn’t even have time to contest before the both of them are slipping through the doorway and into the building. That leaves Billy with no choice but to follow them inside, listening out for anything alarming. Even if Eleven has let down her guard, he won’t.
The Harringtons’ house is huge and immaculate, not a piece of furniture out of place. Of course, that changes when Eleven comes bounding through, leaving a trail of muddy pawprints that has Harrington cringing again. Billy is prepared to jump in and defend Eleven from his frustration… but nothing comes. Harrington simply pats her on the head and continues down the hall with her.
The bathroom is upstairs and two doors on the left.
The walls are all pristine teal tiles, the colour matched in all the bathroom furniture. Out of a cupboard, Harrington pulls out a pair of fluffy white towels that has even Billy feeling incredulous. He wants to wash two filthy werewolves… here? With those? In this nice clean bathroom?
Maybe they are safe with Harrington; the guy is clearly an idiot.
If wolves could make incredulous facial expressions, that’s what Billy would be doing right now. Instead he simply watches on as Harrington runs the taps, testing the water temperature between grabbing different colourful bottles of soap from the shelves.
Eleven looks ecstatic, hopping from foot to foot at the prospect of finally having a wash after far too long. It’s understandable, even Billy finds himself somewhat excited for her as the water froths with a sweet-smelling bubbly solution.
The younger lets out a happy yip when Harrington beckens her over and clambers into the tub. She seats herself in the centre, sniffing at the bubbles and sneezing when they inevitably tickle her nose. It makes Harrington laugh as he rolls up the sleeves of his shirt, kneeling on the floor beside the tub.
His hands quickly become covered in the frothy brown evidence of the dirt being washed from Eleven’s fur as he scrubs. It’s not something he minds too much, given the minimal complaining—though he does curse when Eleven shakes and splatters droplets of dissolved mud and murky water his way.
Eleven seems to be enjoying the bath a great deal, even when Harrington removes the plug to drain away the ruined water and reaches for the showerhead to blast away the final stubborn patches of muck. She even leans into a particularly satisfying scratch with a great aura of contentment.
Before long, she’s clean enough for Harrington to deem suitable, and even Billy has to nod his approval at the immaculate state of her coat. It’ll save her a great deal of discomfort in the coming months.
Towelling off has Eleven excited again, darting around the bathroom space to avoid the towel. It’s only a game, though, and she does eventually get dried. If she had wanted to escape the rub down, she could have easily squeezed her way between Billy and the edge of the doorway and dashed away to safety—and Billy would have been right behind her!
In the end, she tires herself out with all the fun and the warmth from the bath water that soothed her cold bones from days in the winter chill. Harrington notices it only a minute or so after Billy, shooting her a fond smile.
The next room he leads them to is, apparently, his bedroom.
He places a layer of dry towels over the surface and allows Eleven to hop up and get comfortable. With her settled in for a nap, Billy allows himself to be ushered from the room. He won’t divulge her of a comfortable rest, God knows she needs it.
“Okay,” Steve huffs, evidently feeling the energy drain after dealing with an overactive pup. “Now you.”
That makes the fur on Billy’s back stand on end, entire body tensing. Sorry, him? Does Harrington really think Billy is going to let him anywhere near him?
Until now, Billy hasn’t even let Harrington come within six metres of them! And even with this strange truce they have going on, he doesn’t intend to suffer the vulnerability and the indignation of letting this teenager bathe him. Has Harrington forgotten that Billy is the one who has been sending him warning looks and cautionary growls all day?
Another growl rumbles with his distaste at the very thought but, before Billy can dart away, or bite, or anything else, Harrington’s hand clamps around the scruff at the back of his neck. Billy finds himself startled at the sheer audacity! This part-human thinks he can just pick him up and carry him around like an unruly dog?
He finally snaps back to his senses when Harrington tries to encourage him into the slippery tub. Not that this is something Billy has any intention of allowing to happen on his watch. With a great deal of kicking and growling, head butting back to collide with Harrington’s shoulder with as much force as he can manage, he tries to buck his way free.
It doesn’t work. Barely. Harrington manages to wrestle him into the tub, panting with exhaustion, and jolts into action when Billy tries to jump back out.
Effectively, he’s been trapped by this idiot. This idiot who invited two wolves into his lovely clean house like lovable stray dogs.
It’s not a good look for Billy. He’s just glad Eleven is asleep and not watching him be outsmarted by this nitwit.
The water around him is indulgently warm as it pours from the tap, filling the tub with it and frothing white bubbles. Given the state of him and what happened during Eleven’s bath he’s sure it’s not going to stay that way for long.
Harrington has lathered up some soap between his hands and is reaching for Billy before he even knows it’s happening. Billy had been so distracted by the indulgence of the water that he hadn’t even noticed Harrington moving. The sudden proximity startles him and, within an instant, he has Harrington’s forearm caught between his teeth.
“Gah!”
They both freeze, caught in the moment. Billy waits for Harrington to hit back as the other just stares at him, but Harrington doesn’t do anything.
Slowly, Billy releases his hold. There’s no taste of iron or flash of broken skin, but he can see the indents of his teeth on Harrington’s flesh. That’s enough to make him feel guilty.
When Harrington, cautiously, tries again to wash him, Billy just lets it happen. Sure, he grumbles through it, but there’s no more fighting it. Of course, he’d never admit it—because this is still humiliating!—but, to an extent, it’s… nice.
The water is warm and Harrington is gentle, not lingering anywhere that has Billy stiffening nervously. After a few minutes, Harrington seems to settle, losing himself in his task and rambling happily at Billy.
“There we go. No one would have known you had lighter patches before this.”
Billy huffs.
“Yeah, I get it. You’re nearly clean, stop whining.”
Insulted, Billy thumps his sudsy head against Harrington’s side, making the other grumble in annoyance.
“See if I do anything nice for you again.”
The plug is pulled and Billy shakes off the water, reasoning that the bathroom was already trashed by Eleven anyway, and Harrington clearly wouldn’t do anything about it.
“Dude.”
If a wolf could grin, Billy would be.
Harrington dries him off with another towel and, wow. Billy hasn’t felt this human in years; clean and free and in a normal, if posh, house… It almost makes him homesick, but otherwise it just feels nice.
“There we go…” Harrington soothes, and Billy actually settles.
It makes him nervous, somewhere in the back of his mind. Billy has had his guard raised non stop since… Fuck, probably since his mom left. And now, after the better part of a year being spent cold and alone, on high alert as if the people from Hawkins lab would just jump out of the shadows and drag them away to that place again, he’s just tired.
He’s so fucking tired, and Harrington’s house is warm, and he’s clean, and the guy feeds them, and for once Billy just wants to stop. He doesn’t want to look over his shoulder, worrying about when their next meal will be and getting piss poor sleep.
Fingers brush hesitantly through the fur on his back, and Billy lets it. Only for a moment but, god, is it nice. He knew Eleven was lonely but… he hadn’t realised how alone he’d felt. He thought he’d gotten used to it, but maybe he never had. Maybe that was just a comfortable lie.
He refuses to leave Harrington alone to do god only knows what behind their backs, though. He may be relaxed and lethargic, but he’s still a safe amount of paranoid. Eleven can rest up, but Billy only pointedly glares at Harrington when he tries to coax Billy to have a nap with her.
In the end, they settle in the Harringtons’ living room after Billy watches Harrington painstakingly scrub down the bathroom and the muddy trails he and Eleven made on their way in. Honestly, watching paint dry would have been just as interesting, but Billy, strangely, liked the company, muttered cursing included.
The Harringtons’ sofa is comfortable, almost too much so. As the young Harrington settled down with a book, Billy sat beside him. He felt a little weird about it—Neil had never let him or his mother on any of the furniture if they were shifted, and that is really the only example of home life Billy had ever had—but Harrington had been the one to invite him up onto the cushions so he just went with it.
It’s proving more and more difficult to stay awake, now. Warm and clean and full, resting on a comfortable sofa, Billy finds himself reluctantly laying down and fighting his eyes as they drift closed again and again. Each blink seems to last a century, becoming harder and harder to fight back open.
At least, until he finds himself waking with a start at the sound of the doorbell.
With a groan, Harrington pushes himself to his feet, moving to answer it. All of Billy’s fears come rushing back.
It could be anyone out there! He should never have let his guard down. What if Hawkins Lab had finally caught up to them? What if someone had seen Billy and Eleven sneaking around? What if Mr and Mrs Harrington have come back?
No matter what, any situation seems to spell doom for them, but Harrington is just up and walking over to the door like it’s nothing. What if it’s him? What if he took advantage of the time Billy fell asleep for? Maybe this has all been some sick ploy to sell them out.
Billy jumps up, darting over to stand in his way, a wary growl rumbling from his throat.
“It’s fine,” Harrington dismisses, walking past without a care.
Billy should fight him, do whatever it takes to stop him from opening the door. He should buy him and Eleven a little bit of time to run. But he just doesn’t have it in him. After everything, the idea of causing Harrington any more grief has his stomach churning in despair.
But he has to do something.
His hand clamps around Harrington’s wrist, holding him in place as he startles at the sudden contact. He turns around in a panic to face Billy, eyes darting downwards before resolutely focusing on his face, cheeks burning.
Billy, though, pays no mind to his state of undress. It doesn’t matter that this is the most vulnerable he’s been in years. He needs to get Harrington to listen, he wants to be able to trust him. It’s been so long since Billy has had a good thing.
Harrington is a good thing. He just wants to keep it, this one indulgence.
“Don’t. Please.”
The word hurts coming out. Pleading has never gotten Billy anything good, any sympathy.
“Holy shit!” Harrington shouts, stumbling a step backwards. “No way. No fucking way.”
“Please,” Billy repeats.
“I didn’t think— I mean some part of me— …shit, dude.”
“Please. Don’t.”
Harrington regains his breath, not even seeming to notice as the doorbell rings once, twice more. It’s followed by pounding and some kid yelling. Neither of them move, eyes locked seriously on each others’. Harrington flexes his hand, making the flesh in Billy’s grasp shift.
Billy’s eyes flash, it’s instinctive. Harrington feels like home, has done since the first time they came across each other, even if Billy didn’t let himself acknowledge it. Harrington’s shine their own unique shade of amber in return. They’re beautiful.
“It’s fine,” Harrington whispers to him. “It’s just the kids I babysit. My ex’s brother and his friends.”
His eyes dart towards the staircase.
“Is… is the other one like you?”
“Her name is Eleven, and yes. Don’t… I can’t let you do anything to put her in danger.”
“I won’t, I swear. Seriously.”
Billy nods, satisfied.
“But I have to let these guys in or they’ll break down the door.”
At that moment, someone presses down on the doorbell and doesn’t let up. It constantly chimes through the house, echoing through the empty halls.
“Fine.”
Billy lets go and Harrington takes a step away before hesitating.
“What’s your name?”
“Billy. What’s yours?”
“Steve.”

I Need You Here With Me
Eddie x gn !reader (Eddie is 21 and reader 23)
TW: Reader is insecure; mention of emotional abuse and neglect; past abuse/toxic relationships
WC: ≈2.2K
Tumblr media
January 28th, 1988
You grew up in a really messed up household. Your dad was an alcoholic who always told you to act tough and your mom spent your life, until you decided to break off all ties with them. You were never good enough for her, and when your feelings got the best of you, your dad would blame you and call you a crybaby.
This childhood didn’t allow you to develop a self-esteem. You never feel confident and since you’ve been dating Eddie, you’ve never felt good enough for him. Another consequence of your troubled childhood is that you’ve been looking for love from anyone who could give it to you, and that’s how, before meeting Eddie, you’ve been in several toxic relationships. Relationships that broke you even more. When you’re dating someone, when you love someone, you’d do anything for them. That’s something that toxic people seemed to notice. And that’s how, before Eddie, you’ve had your fair share of abusive boyfriends and friends who took advantage of you.
Eddie and you met in January 1987, your boyfriend of the time was invited to the same New Year Party as Eddie and brought you along with him. You were his little “trophy” in public. In private though, you were his punching ball. Eddie found you on the owner’s house bathroom sobbing. He carefully approached you and asked you what happened. It was the first time ever that someone noticed that your life wasn’t perfect and so you literally did trauma dumping on him. Later, Eddie helped you break up with your boyfriend, protected you from him and offered you a place to stay.
A few months later, when you started healing from your past relationship, in March, Eddie and you started dating and officially became partner in April. But with your baggage, you don’t know how to navigate a healthy relationship, and you’re clingy. You’re conscious that you might be too clingy for Eddie. It isn’t healthy. But you don’t know how to love, you’ve never been loved before and no one taught you how to love properly. And you know you and your baggage might be a bit too much, especially since he is younger than you.
Don’t get us wrong here, Eddie has his own baggage. He has had a very difficult childhood and he experienced something in 1986 that gave him the physical and mental scars he has, but he never told you what happened. All you know is that he often wakes up screaming. But his baggage is easy to handle for you. All you want is to give him the world, protect him and be there for him 24/7.
Eddie is currently grocery shopping. Today, he went alone because he heard from a friend of his that your ex is back in town for the weekend which means he won’t let you go out of the weekend.
As soon as Eddie left, you tried reading your book, but you miss him too much, you can’t focus. You know that your boyfriend should be able to go grocery without you missing him. You know that. You also feel that you being clingy annoys Eddie, you’re afraid it’ll scare him away. You start overthinking and feeling insecure, thinking the real reason Eddie went grocery shopping alone was because he was fed up with you. You start imagining the worse scenarios, telling yourself that it is too good to be true. You can’t be with a man like Eddie Munson. You don’t deserve him. And how can he love you? How can you be loved? You wonder. You even go as far as to imagine that he might never come back from grocery shopping. You get stuck in your own head to the point that you don’t hear Eddie come back in the house.
“Baby?” Eddie asks.
You do not answer, you don’t even hear him.
“Baby?” Eddie says while entering the living room.
Eddie sees you, dissociated and sat on the couch, tears prickling at your eyeline.
He crouches down in front of you and take your hand in his, that’s when you notice his presence, you can’t help yourself and hug Eddie, what Eddie finds unusual, is that as soon as you realize what you did you leave Eddie’s arms and avoid his stare. Eddie caresses your knees, knowing that it is one of the things that reassures you the most. You still avoid his gaze and get up, not caring his hand is on your knee.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” Eddie asks.
You turn to him, eyes shining with tears. “Am I too much?” you ask, voice trembling.
“Hey, hey, hey, look at me” Eddie tells you reassuringly.
You shake your head no, eyes glued to your feet.
“Hey baby, you are not too much…” Eddie softly tells you.
“Am I not enough?” You shyly ask.
“No!” Eddie says raising his voice, which makes you flinch.
When you flinch, Eddie takes a step back and looks at you apologetically, but you don’t see it, your eyes still fixed on your feet, tears running down your cheeks.
I’m sorry baby, I shouldn’t have raised my voice… I’m so sorry.” Eddie is distraught by your sudden self-doubt. Eddie knows about your childhood and your past relationships, but you’ve never felt insecure with him, or at least you never voiced it. He doesn’t know how to handle the situation. He isn’t mad at you, he is mad at your parents, at your previous partners and friends who used you, mistreated you and made you feel unloved.
“’S fine” you say while sniffling. “’m sorry I upset you…” Now you feel even more like a burden, you’ve managed to upset the only person who showed you nothing but love.
“Hey, hey, stop that. You didn’t upset me love. It’s not you who upset me. It’s just the idea that your parents and past relationships broke you so much that you need to ask me such questions as if you are too much or not enough.” Eddie says, in a calmer tone.
“’m sorry” you say again, still sniffling.
“What are you sorry for honey?” Eddie asks, trying to be as comprehensive and patient as possible.
“’m too clingy and it might make you run away… I don’t know how to love Eddie… I’m sorry… I’m so sorry” you keep repeating.
Eddie takes a step toward you and when he sees you don’t flinch or move away, he put his hand on your cheek.
“Stop apologizing baby. Listen to what I have to say and don’t cut me off, can you do that for me.” Eddie kindly asks.
You nod, still sniffling, tears still running down your cheeks.
“Good, that’s good.” Eddie says. “You remember when we weren’t a couple. Every time you didn’t sleepover in my room, I found it hard to sleep and every time we are apart, there is a pain in my heart that won’t go away. You’re clingy? Maybe, but I love it and even if I could, I would change nothing about it. Trust le when I say that I love you the way you are. And I know you have trust issues, I know you have had a difficult past, but I want to help you see that you are loveable. I want you to see that I love you and that I’d never hurt, neglect, nor abandon you.” Eddie continues.
“I’m sorry for being such a crybaby…” you say while wiping your tears.
“You’re not a crybaby love, you are traumatized. You have to acknowledge that, and I’ll help you acknowledge it, I’ll help you heal from that, I promise to be here every step of the way.” Eddie tells you.
“I’m sorry for not knowing how to love properly…” you tell Eddie.
“None of that baby, you love me properly, of course you still have things to learn, but I feel loved by you. And you know my past with my family, you know about my High School years, not a lot of people loved me, but I’ve always felt it. And I feel it coming from you.” Eddie explains.
“Does that mean the fact that I’m telling you that I love you so many times a day is annoying? Suffocating?” you shyly ask.
“Baby, you’re always saying the words I want to say. It is not suffocating. You could tell me you love me every single second that I wouldn’t feel it suffocating.” Eddie reassures you.
“What about the excess of physical touch?” You ask, still insecure.
“Baby… I need you here with me, at all times. The closer the better.” Eddie tells you.
“But I’m clingy…” you repeat once again.
“And deep down, I’m as clingy as you, I just try to hide it.” Eddie tells you with nothing but love in his eyes.
“’m sorry for getting all worked up… I just missed you so much while you went grocery shopping that I imagined the worse scenarios possible. I got stuck in my own head.” You tell Eddie, ashamed.
“Don’t apologize baby. I know your past and I should have known what as wrong as soon as I arrived home and I shouldn’t have raised my voice. I know it’ll take time for you to realize that it is true, that we are made to last. If I need to repeat it every single day for the rest of my life I will.” Eddie tells you while caressing your cheek.
“Can I ask why?” you ask.
“Why what?” Eddie asks.
“Why did you talk to me at that New Years Party?” you ask, unsure.
“For three reasons: first one I found you so gorgeous. Second reason, I saw you were sad, I was actually looking for you and when I found you in the bathroom it wasn’t just a coincidence. Third reason: your boyfriend didn’t even acknowledge your sadness and he didn’t even look for you when you left so I thought someone had to.” Eddie earnestly answers.
“Thank you… thank you so much for everything you did for me Eds. I’m sorry I’m not a better partner…” You apologetically tell him. You need him to know how grateful you are to have him in your life.
“Thank you for allowing me to be your boyfriend, for allowing me to love you, for letting me help you. You’ve come so far since the first time we met. Yes, you are my insecure little baby, but you became stronger, you became happier. I want to make up for all the assholes who treated you badly in the past. I want to help you heal; I want to help you blossom.” Eddie says before softly kissing your lips. You kiss him back, putting your hand in his hair. You both make out until you can’t breathe and then reluctantly part. Eddie put a strand of hair behind your hear and smiles softly at you.
“So, do you still believe I’m gonna leave my little baby heal all alone?” Eddie asks.
“It might take time for me to fully believe it. But you reassured me a lot so thank you. Thank you for being so patient with me…” You tell Eddie.
“Baby, I’ll always be patient with you. I love you so so much. And now it’s my time to thank you. Thank you for trying your best every day. Thank you for accepting me how I am, with my qualities and my flaws. Thank you for being patient with me when I have a nightmare and for never asking about what happened to me in March of ’86. You’re the most respectful, loving and caring person I’ve ever known, and I fall with you even more every single day.” Eddie declares.
You start quietly sobbing in your hand, this time you’re not crying because of anxiety or pain, no, you’re crying because of Eddie’s speech, because of how much he loves you and how much you love him.
“’m sorry for being a crybaby…” you say once again.
Eddie hugs you and gently whisper in your ear. “You’re not a crybaby, you’re sensitive, there’s a difference. You’re allowed to cry and to let your emotions out. It’s healthy and normal baby.” Eddie says while caressing your back, still hugging you.
Once you part Eddie asks. “Will cuddling in bed make you feel even better?”.
As soon as you nod, Eddie throws you over his shoulder and walk to your shared bed. He lays you on the bed and joins you on the bed, opening his arms. You crawl towards him and put your head on his chest, listening to his heart beating. Eddie loves having you in his arms, as he already told you and will remind you for as long as you’re insecure, his love language is physical touch. If he could, Eddie would never part from you, he would stay in this bed, cuddling with you forever.
Eddie is the first ever person to make you feel loved, he is the first ever person to treat you with respect. He is the first partner to ever love you and treat you as his equal. You know it’s going to take time to fully believe it, but for the first time ever, you allow yourself to dream of an entire life with Eddie.

#46 with luke
“Stop being a fucking prick”
-
Milo’s birth had been the best kept secret of Michigan.
You honestly thought Mackie would’ve spilled the beans at one point.
You were cautious when Ethan left to play in Jersey. With Luke having left the year prior and Milo being a couple months old now, you waited for the
how come you had my baby and I didn’t know? text.
It never came.
So, you carried on with life. You were close to graduating and looking for a job. Not having a job after graduation wasn’t an option at this point, being a mom was expensive.
“Hey, you wanna go watch the Red Wings Devils game this Saturday? Eddy says that he can get us tickets” Mark asked, shouting through the house.
“I’m down but we’ll have to take Milo because his babysitter is out of town”
“Eddy also said ‘tell her she better bring Milo because I miss him’” you laughed, always one step ahead.
At almost a year old, the little boy was beginning to develop noticeable features from his parents. He had Luke’s hair and nose while he had your eyes. He hadn’t fully developed a smile yet but the way he gave his gummy half smiles with a certain slant you knew they’d be just like Luke’s.
Dressed up in his Devils jersey, a gift from Ethan when he left. Milo had been to so many hockey games in his short little life, being a common spectator at Yost.
While Luke wasn’t in the picture you still wanted to bring those certain aspects of him around Milo. You took him to hockey games, you celebrated certain Jewish holidays with him (after a lot of googling). People thought it strange, you hadn’t told Luke by choice but wanted to keep him around.
Your reasoning sounded stupid to some but others understood where you were coming from. Luke broke up with you after loosing out again at Frozen Four.
The devils organization were there in Tampa. Luke had signed before he even got out of his jersey.
He told you it wouldn’t work, how you were going to be too far apart and that he wanted to experience life as a rookie in New Jersey with a fresh start.
You planned to tell him that night, you were pregnant. You never got the chance. Instead, you nodded and wished him well in Jersey.
You then didn’t tell anyone for months until you were all leaving for the summer and you bid your goodbyes very tearfully. You weren’t sure what would happen next year, if you’d ever be back in Michigan with your friends.
You told them, they dragged it out of you and you made them promise to not tell Luke.
It was awfully quiet at the lake house that summer.
Everyone had brought their partners and Luke was alone for the first time in years, he felt lonely. He missed you. He screwed up.
“Have you got his bag? His ear defenders? Oh did I pack snacks? What about-“
“You gotta calm down, what’s up with you?” Mark stopped you, taking milo out of your arms and looking at you bordering on tears.
“This is the first time I’m gonna see him Mark, I thought I could do it-“
“You can! Luke knows nothing about Milo and I’m sure he won’t even notice us there. I’m right here with you”
His words of encouragement calmed you, nodding in agreement and making your way to the car.
It was a busy night and Milo was loving all of the attention he was getting from random people that passed, all waving and smiling at him.
“C’mon buddy let’s go find Ethan and get your first NHL puck” Mark announced, taking him from your arms and walking down the stairs to ice level.
You watched people skate by that you recognized; Jack and Dawson both from your visits to Jersey with Luke, a few Red wings players who had been in contact with Mark over the year with the team showing interest in signing him come graduation.
Eventually you found #73.
“Look Milo, who’s that?!” You pointed and his eyes followed to Eddy who had stopped right infront of you.
His eyes lit up, babbling and slapping the glass in front of him at his uncle.
“Hey buddy I missed you!” Ethan shouted, smiling down at him.
You were too consumed in the people around you, you hadn’t noticed a certain defenseman watching from the crease in utter disbelief.
Luke’s heart broke. You had moved on, with his old teammate and friend and now you even had a baby.
Jack skated into his little brother, almost knocking him over “Yo, what’s up with you? Move!”
Luke just pointed ahead of him and Jack’s mouth fell open when he saw it “Holy shit!”
Luke just pushed away from his brother, shaking his head and making his way back to the locker room.
When the game started Milo fell asleep leaving you and Mark to enjoy. Sometime after the second period started he began crying softly and you decided to take him on a walk around in an attempt to calm him again.
“I’ll be back” you whispered to mark.
“Sure you don’t want me to take him?”
“Nah I’ve got it, text me if anything exciting happens and if Eddy gets in a fight film it”
You were bouncing up the stairs, Milo starting to hush now smiling up at you “Hi cheeky boy, you’re just tired huh?”
Just before you could exit to the concourse you heard your name being called, turning to see The Hughes.
oh shit.
“Oh my goodness, I haven’t seen you in forever!” Madison, Jack’s girlfriend said while standing up from her seat to hug you “How have you been?! You have a baby now?”
You felt overwhelmed, a flush landing across your cheeks “Yeah, yeah I know it’s been a while!”
“He’s so cute! Hi little man” she cooed, her finger swiping across his cheek while he smiled a gummy smile.
You looked over at the rest of the family, they looked conflicted and your heart was racing.
“I should be going-“
“Luke’s hair was that light when he was that age, it’ll get darker” Ellen said, looking straight at you.
You’d been caught.
You bit your lip “I didn’t-“
“We’re here now, no point causing a scene for something we can’t change. You’ve got my number sweetheart call me when you get back to Ann Arbor and we’ll talk” she was always so good at getting her point across.
You nodded with a slight smile “Do you want to hold him?”
You could see their eyes light up “Please?” “Of course”
Milo groaned when he lost contact of you but soon situated nicely in his grandma’s arms while she doted over him.
Madison hugged you tightly now your arms were free and mumbled in your ear “You’re so strong for doing this alone”
Down in the locker room in the second break Luke was fuming. Since seeing you all he saw was red.
When everyone had filed out back onto the ice Ethan pulled Luke back “What’s wrong with you dude?”
“What’s wrong with me?! You knew Mark and Y/N had a baby and you never fucking told me!”
Ethan looked confused “Mark and Y/N? Milo isn’t Mark’s son you moron! Is that what you’re so upset about? You’ve been missing easy passes because of that?!”
“Because of that?!” Luke mocked him
“Yes it’s because of that! How would you feel?!”
Ethan chuckled humourlessly “You left her Hughesy don’t get it twisted”
“You don’t get it!”
“Oh I get it plenty, you’re jealous now you think she’s moved on with someone else! Milo isn’t Mark’s son you dipshit he’s yours! He’s almost one and he loves hockey, his mom is really fucking awesome and his dad? Well he’s a giant fucking loser”
Luke stuttered a response but came up empty.
“She’s out there, with your kid right now and you have every opportunity to make things right. Now stop being a fucking prick and sort it out but first we have a game to win”
Luke didn’t reply, just nodding and headed out the door to the bench.
Luke’s parents hadn’t wanted to let go of Milo, soaking up all of the time they had with him and you let them because who were you to stop it. After all, you’d deprived them of their grandson for months.
The game ended with a devils OT win, you were ecstatic for Ethan and nervous to see Luke. There was no hiding it anymore.
The hallway outside the locker room felt claustrophobic while you waited, staring down at your sleeping boy.
Ethan came out first, giving you a hug and mumbling “He knows, I told him and I’m sorry but he needed to know”
You nodded, a non verbal agreement that it was ok.
Luke was one of the last out, side by side with his brother.
He looked around for you almost instantly, shoulders physically relaxing when he saw you there. His eyes flickered between you and the baby.
“Go, go see her” Jack pushed him. The whole family watching him stumble over to you.
“Hi Lu”
“Hey”
You were both visibly nervous, taking it upon yourself to break the tension you asked “you want to hold him? Your mom said it’s the best cuddles she’s had”.
He chuckled, nodding and you handed the small body over. You watched him closely snuggle closer into Luke’s chest in his sleep.
Luke laughed softly and when you looked at him you saw the tears that lined his eyes and a watery smile to add “He’s so-“
“Perfect?” “Yeah”
The two of you had your moment, being mom and dad for a few seconds until the family interrupted. Uncle Jack claiming his stakes to meet the little one.
The two of you stepped back for a minute watching them all coo over him. Luke’s arm slinging over your shoulders to pull you in under his arm.
Your head dropped onto his shoulder “Lu I’m so sorry I kept him from you”
He shook his head lightly “It’s done now, let’s just go forward not back. Come back to the hotel with me, we’ll talk about everything”
“Everything?” “I want to fix it all, you and I too”
“I’d like that, I don’t think we’re getting him back anytime soon though” you joked.
“More time with you? I’m not complaining”
Later that night you were asleep in his arms on the hotel bed, Milo asleep in a travel cot next to you and Luke felt happy for the first time in a very long time.
Next morning the family had woken up to a text in the family group chat.
Quinn Hughes: what the fuck is this I’m hearing about having a nephew? Was someone gonna tell me? Jack who did you knock up?!

Am I the asshole for bringing up old family drama to my forgetful grandmother?
So, atm I'm taking care of my grandmother (95) and have done so for, 4 years and she keeps trying to tell me how horrible of a mother my mom is, for years.
Backstory, I never actually knew my grandparents on my dads side, but after my grandfather passed I've been the sole caretaker. And since I can't drive my moms been the one doing all the shopping.
My dad refuses to do anything. (Like won't even take his mother to a doc appointment (its my mom) My grandmother doesn't like me (but likes the help) and she despise my mom.
The thing is, my moms always had a gay best friend since middle school, even have family photos of us with him.
Recently found out the reason my grandmother hates my mom is because she was convinced my mom was having an affair with this gay best friend. (When my parents first married)
The thing is, my dad can do absolutely nothing wrong. When I was about 6, my entire family was alerted we might have aids because my dads mistress wrote in her s**ide note that my dad gave her aids.
So my dad broke the news to my mom by taking her to my grandparents house and telling my mom the news in front of them.
Thankfully it wasnt true. But now my grandma "doesn't remember" and saying it can't be true and my moms a liar. (My mom told me this when I was 7 (as why I needed to get tested)
Want to add, my dads never hugged me, never given me a gift, and has never wished me a happy birthday my entire life.
Now my grandmother is going to ask my dad about it (I don't think he knew I knew)
Am I the asshole for bringing this all up? Should I have just kept my mouth shut?
What are these acronyms?

50 percent of marriages end in divorce and the other 50 just live in harmony. You thought you had it made when you married Joel Miller, he is everything you look in for a person. You checked off every box for him. Joel loved how you treated Sarah as your own, just being such a good mother figure in her life.
You met Joel when he was 30 and you were 25, you were the receptionist for the construction company he worked for. You were just the most beautiful woman to him and every man you worked with could see it too.
You were the one who made the first move. You didn't care for anyone else but him, mainly because he wasn't trying to get in your pants. He treated you as a person. You two became good friends, you would hang out with him and Tommy outside of work.
He eventually introduced to Sarah. She instantly loved you, she always asked about you and wanted you to come over and listen to whatever was the hottest new album that came out since you were still young enough to enjoy pop culture.
"Hey, would you like to grab a beer after work?" You stopped Joel before he had to leave to go to the site. Joel was surprised by your forwardness. "Are you asking me on a date, sweetheart?" Joel flashed a smile at you as your face flushed with red. "I guess I am, whatcha say, Miller?" You smirked at him. "It's a date." Joel winks before he left with the others for the day. The date was just the beginning of the romance between the two of you. 2 years later you were married.
-
4 years now you're crying in the kitchen and Joel staring at the ceiling. "I'll be staying with my brother until we get the papers signed." You broke the silence. Your relationship with Joel finally came to end when you both had enough of being at each other's throats.
You would fight about literally anything. It would be about bills one day then the next day he said he doesn't feel anything for you anymore or you realized that you can't love anyone when you can't love yourself. The reason for divorce was to work on yourselves.
When you broke the news to Sarah she was livid because she could see that you both love each other so much and you guys were being stubborn and couldn't see it. You felt your heart break when Sarah said "Please don't stop being my mom." you explained to her that no matter what happens she'll always be your sweet girl.
-
The day you were supposed to sign all the papers the world collapsed. It was the worst day of your life no matter what. If the world didn't end you would be divorced from Joel and since the world did end you lost your Sarah and almost lost Joel forever. You can't get her screams and cries out of your head, and the image of Joel holding her as she took her last breaths. Then Joel trying to end his life made you break further.
-
Another 4 years go by and you stuck by Joel. It was just strictly platonic. You were the last thing he had in the old world and he was the same for you. You were each other's comfort and safety net. Though still you were still legally married that didn't matter when it was a lawless world around you.
Joel and you found yourselves a group and did what you had to do to survive. You watched Joel become a ghost of the person you once knew. He could see you as yourself. Just as flippant and caring.
You still yearned for Joel's love and companionship but he found it in another woman, Tess. You couldn't help but be hurt and jealous. You liked Tess and could never hate her. You envied what she had; Joel in the palm of her hands.
Joel didn't mean for it to happen but life loves to derail everything well. "I'm leaving the group...I'm going with Tommy." You sat with Joel in the apartment you shared in the QZ. "You're not leaving." Joel thought he could change your mind, but nothing could. "Joel, I have nothing keeping me here and I rather go with someone who doesn't see me as a second choice." Your words cut into his wounds.
"Darlin'...," Joel pulled you into his arms, "N-no...Joel. I'm leaving tonight." You pushed him off of you and started packing your go-bag. "This is it? After everything we have been through." Joel was angry not at you but at the way things turned out. You stopped packing and looked at him. "You don't need me, Joel. You don't even love m-" "Stop talking before you say something you'll regret." Joel didn't want you to make him face the music.
Joel walks to you and you stood up straight to look him in the eye. "You don't love me." You snubbed, Joel's eyes clouded with hurt and pure rage. The next few moments were hazy.
Joel crashes his lips into yours, your hands gripping the collar of his flannel bringing him as close as possible. Moans leave your mouth as he undresses you, then you come to when the moonlight leaks in through the windows. Your legs tangled with his and his skin on yours. You remove yourself from his hold.
You put your clothes back on and take your bag. You look at Joel sleeping unknowing that he will never see you again. Tommy was waiting with Marlene outside the door. "We're ready when you are." Marlene gave you a weak smile. "I'm ready." You nod and follow them to escape the place where you don't belong.
-
You ran like hell from the QZ, your feet ached and your back was on fire as you fly through the trees. The screams and growls were catching up to you. The safe house was just in view, "Marlene!" You blockade the door trying to buy yourself time to hide. No one was there yet, all you had to defend yourself with was the switchblade Joel gave to you when you first started dating.
You felt your water break and fluid drenched your legs. You got up the stairs and threw yourself on the ground. Your body was ready to give out when you started pushing.
Your screams echoed through the empty home. The growls and scratching were at the door, the next push was interrupted by the infected breaking down the door with their excessive strength. You were crying as you put up your best fight. Your adrenaline pumps through your body. You made the fatal blow and threw the body off of you.
A cry came from someone other than you. You reached down to hold the small child in your hands. Your body was coming down from the high and your thigh was aching. There was the mark of death etched into your skin. "No, no, no, no." You scrambled for your blade and cut the cord. The infant was still crying and you started to console her.
You forgot for a moment about your fate being sealed and watched the most beautiful creature in front of your eyes. "You tell 'em Ellie." you gave a tired laugh and just soaked in what you thought were the final moments of your life.
-
When Marlene found you, you didn't say anything about being bit, but you let her leave with Ellie so you could collect yourself. You waited and waited to turn into a monster but your time never came. Every day you would wake up and have to calm yourself down, 'You're okay...' you found the word to describe yourself...immune.
You knew you couldn't raise Ellie in the group you found yourself in. Marlene and you decided to give her up to FEDRA to give her a shot at life. That meant many nights crying into Tommy's chest and just feeling like you lost everything. You made Tommy swear he would never say anything to Joel about Ellie. When you and Tommy left the fireflies, you had no contact with Marlene anymore.
-
14 years went by just thinking about Ellie, Joel, Tess, and Sarah. Nightmares consumed you and didn't let you rest.
Ellie was being held captive and soon to be turned into a science experiment. Joel found himself smuggling this fiery kid who reminded him of you. He didn't ever put too much thought into it. The day you left he would look for you everywhere and in everyone.
The day after Marlene sent Ellie packing with Joel he saw your switchblade in her hands as they passed time. He told himself it couldn't be yours, it's not it was one of a kind. Everything was too coincidental but he tried not to think about it...more like tried not to think about you.
Ellie knew about you, Marlene let her have a picture of you before sending her off to her death with Joel. Marlene knew about your last night with Joel. She knew that Ellie was Joel's child and she couldn't break her promise to you 'Don't ever let Joel know...or even Ellie, know about each other...' because you were her best friend but she was afraid that you would kill her. Anytime Ellie looked at your picture she thought you were the most beautiful person ever and made sure no one ever saw the picture. It was a part of herself she could keep to herself.
Joel came in riding on a horse and Ellie trailed behind him on hers. The news about two new coming into the community made its way to you and Tommy. You both didn't think much about it because it wasn't anything new.
People would come and go. Tommy was helping on structuring another building for the community and you were helping with the school coordinating the calendar for a school year. "Tommy's brother is here and he has some child with..." a woman whispered to another lady and your ears burned. You scurried away from the table and found yourself vomiting into a trashcan.
This is can't be real. He can't be here and with a child? What child? Did he knock someone else up? "Sweetie, are you okay?" An older woman came over and held your hair back, her hand rubbing your back trying to soothe you. "I'm fine...I think I'm gonna call it day." You spit off some more saliva and walked back to your house. You first stopped by Tommy's since it was right next to yours but no one was home not even Maria.
The night passed on and Maria was knocking on your door and she got impatient and walked in. "Y/n? We need to talk" Maria calls out, you emerged from the kitchen with a glass of water. You looked like you've seen a ghost. "I take it as you heard the news." Maria sat you down on the couch, you started to sob.
It feels like the universe was teasing you and it wasn't fair. "He doesn't know you're here...and he's here with Ellie." You felt the air in the room not be enough to breathe in. Ellie...your Ellie. "How?" "The devil works but Marlene works harder...he's supposed to smuggle Ellie to the fireflies. I don't know why they want her." you knew why...she has to be immune too. That's the only reason why.
You heard the door open, Tommy was standing there with a sorry look on his face. "You told him, didn't you?" you asked, Tommy, sighed and tried to look for the words he wanted to say. "You fucking broke your promise!" You darted toward Tommy pushing him against the wall, your arm raised and your hand clenched into a fist. "Hey! Hey! Let's take a deep breath, Y/n...I didn't say anything about Ellie...I just told him you're here. He kept asking if you were alive. That's all." Tommy grabbed your hand on put it down. You were huffing trying to catch your breath.
"He wants to me take Ellie to the fireflies...Y/n, he's at his breaking point." Tommy sighed and looked at Maria. You look back at her and she just shook her head. "She is the key to the vaccine." the words hit you like a train. You knew what that meant, Marlene told you about what they needed to make the vaccine work.
"They have to kill her to make it work." You spoke, and the couple looked at you. "I remember Marlene telling me the science behind it...I can't let this happen. It has to be me." You weren't making any sense to them. "What are you saying?" Maria quipped, you looked up at the ceiling and pulled down your sweatpants. Tommy didn't look down at you and Maria looked at your right thigh. A scar in the shape of a bite with the cordyceps tendrils underneath the skin.
"You're immune..." Maria was stunned, you pulled your pants up and Tommy quickly looked at you. "Looks like you guys have another secret to keep." You laughed to lighten the mood.
-
Tommy brought you to the house where Joel and Ellie were staying for the night, his knuckles knock against the door. You wait for a moment and the door swings open to Joel, he's aged, a few new scars litter his face and he still has his signature beard that you've always loved. "I think you two have some business to attend to...Goodnight." Tommy excuses himself, leaving you at the door with the man you never stopped loving.
Joel moved out of the way and let you inside. You move in silence to where is supposed the living room but it was barren with a weathered couch in the center. "She's our kid...isn't she?" Joel broke the silence, when he opened the door to your face everything clicked in his head. "Nothing ever gets past you." You exhaled, and Joel lets out a weak chuckle. "Does she know?" Joel asked as he leaned back with his arms resting on the back of the couch. "No. I made people keep their promises." You were always the one person that people never crossed because karma was always on your side.
"I said something to her that I should have never said..." Joel recalls just moments before you showed back up into his life 'You're right...you're not my daughter. And I sure as hell ain't your dad.' he hated himself from that very moment. "Joel, you've always spoken before you thought." You remember all the times his mouth got him in trouble.
"Now, Joel I'm going with Ellie tomorrow...I can't let her do this." You broke the news. Just as thought Joel had you back, he was about to lose you again. "No, you're staying here" Joel protested, he'll be damned to let you go. "I am, I know where to go and I know the team down there. I need to be there for her. She's my baby girl..." You knew your words were useless because he will try everything in his power to keep you from going.
The stairs creaked and you both turn to find Ellie trying her best to stealth her way back up the stairs. You stood up and looked at the girl in front of your eyes. You drank in her presence, noticing the scar on her eyebrow, her puppy dog eyes and how they sparkled, and the slope of her nose. "Ellie," you whispered trying not to scare her. Her face lit up when her name fell off your lips.
Ellie walked down the stairs and met you and Joel in the living room. She stopped just a few feet away from you. Joel watched the two of you look at each other. He was checking off how similar you guys are, the way you both stood and how you carried yourself. "Mom." Ellie ran into your arms, and you naturally accepted her into an embrace. You rested your head on top of hers, breathing her scent, and listened to her breathing. You swayed gently, her breathing became heavy as tears spilled from her eyes.
"I'm here...forever." You murmured while stroking her hair. It was the most beautiful thing to see, a mother and her child. The warmth of a mother's love is like nothing else. "Hey...guess what? you sure as hell are my dad." Ellie pulled away a little to look at Joel. Her laugh filled the home. "I knew that would come back and bite me in the ass." Joel stood up and came beside you. He tucked the hair out of Ellie's face. "C'mere you little shit." Joel pulled her from your arms into his. He laid a kiss on her head.
"You too, darlin'" Joel brings you into the embrace. You couldn't help but sob at the reunion before you knew that you would have to lay down your life for her. -
The journey to the fireflies brought you and Joel back together as a couple, and you fell in love again with each other. It made it hard for you to not tell him everything about what is going to happen you get to the hospital. Everything with Ellie made you thirst for blood again, you feel like you failed as a parent when Ellie ended up killing David. You did everything in your power to help Ellie process what happened and nothing she did was wrong but she shut you and Joel out.
Joel woke up in a hospital bed alone. Everything around him made him uneasy. The tension in the air was suffocating. Marlene was speaking to him slowly, making sure she didn't tick him off.
But when Marlene explained everything to him, he snapped. She knew that she had to get him out and make sure they could get this done.
You tried to reason with Marlene and let you be the one to die but the doctors thought it would be great to experiment on you and Ellie. You begged for Ellie to be spared. You were sedated before her before you could put up a fight. Marlene warned them about your life with Joel and how ruthless you are when it came to protecting the ones you loved.
Joel snapped at the right moment. He moved through the hospital without any thought in his mind. He didn't wake from his haze until he shot Marlene. He was trying to conjure up what he would say because knowing Ellie and you, questions were going to be asked and will need to be answered.

oohhh i know you did an ask on who every teachers favourite child is but who are the kid’s favourite? out of the teen parenting trio, who were tsumiki and megumi’s favourites? or atleast the one they were individually closest to?
This is a legitimately hard one and there is no exact answer to it. Here’s the best approximation.
Tsumiki:
When she was little, it was Shoko. This was not for the best reasons.
I don’t want to delve too deep into this because we’re gonna find out a lot more about how Tsumiki felt about the teen parenting trio as a kid in the fic itself, so I’m leaving a lot of context out. But she liked Shoko as a kid because Shoko was a drug addict, and so was her mom.
It’s not that she liked that Shoko was addicted to drugs. I think Tsumiki violently hates drugs for what it did to her mom and, later, Shoko. But there was a safety in familiarity for Tsumiki. She liked Shoko because she knew how to deal with her and what her problem was. She’d take the monster she knew over the one she didn’t any day of the week, and she just could not understand why Gojo and Nanami were hanging around or why they pretended to care. She was too afraid of anything new to feel comfortable around Nanami or Gojo for a long time. She kept waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Shoko was good to her as a kid. Better than her own mom ever was. And Tsumiki really, truly liked her for that. But she also liked her because she thought that if things went sour with Shoko, she would know how it would and how to handle it. She felt most comfortable around Shoko as a result.
When Tsumiki grew up, I don’t think she had an exact favorite. She was comfortable with and trusted all of them equally, which shouldn’t be confused with her trusting all of them entirely.
She loves her family. And she trusted them enough to bring megumi to them at the start of the fic. But we also know that Nanami found something to make him think she thought they would cut her off from her brother. She’s got a bit of a distance from all of them.
I think she’s spent the most time with Gojo. He was around the most as a kid. I think she likes how he always pushes megumi to be out of his shell. I think she trusts him to take care of them. All of them were really a team in raising them, but Gojo was the closest they got to having a dad. She called him “Dad” once by accident and then immediately tried to drown herself. Megumi had to follow her into the ocean to get her to come up for air. Gojo was insufferable for a month trying to get her to do it again and moped for ages when she wouldn’t.
But I also think that she still has a soft spot for Shoko in the present. They have a little bit of a girl's club. And Tsumiki's unspeakably proud of Shoko for getting clean, and a little bit emotional about it. Shoko got clean for them. Her mom didn’t get clean for her.
It means a lot to her.
Megumi:
When Megumi was little, it was Gojo.
He would never, ever admit it, but it was. He was the one that Megumi trusted to save him from the Zenin, and it fucking broke him when he didn’t. He thought Gojo was a pain in the ass, don’t get me wrong. But Gojo appeared first. Gojo took care of them first. Gojo went to their stupid school recitals and walked him home from school and ruffled his hair and gave them a stupid house even when they said he didn’t have to.
Megumi thought Gojo was just some asshole with ulterior motives when he met him, and it took a long time, but Gojo was the first person he ever thought would take care of him unconditionally. He was a pain in the ass. But he never hurt him. And he always took care of him. It was like gravity, and Megumi trusted it would still be there when he asked for help.
And it fucking hurt when Gojo didn’t.
He took a huge amount of distance from everyone, after, but Gojo especially. He’s most comfortable with Nanami. Nanami has judgment he trusts and has a quieter energy that Megumi is most comfortable with.
He believes that Nanami means it when he says that he won’t let anyone hurt him again. He doesn’t believe Nanami can do it. It’s nothing against Nanami. He just knows how badly he can be hurt, and how hard it is to stop people from doing it. It took a Herculean amount of trust for megumi to trust that anyone even meant it when they said it, so Nanami does mean a huge deal to him.
He believes Gojo would protect him. He doesn’t necessarily believe he will.
It took a long, long time for him to trust Gojo again, but he does. He wouldn’t say it out loud, but he does. He believes Gojo would absolutely intervene on his behalf if he knew Megumi was being hurt. He just doesn’t have the same confidence of him finding out in time.
I can’t find the post again, but I touched on this a little in a different ask about Megumi’s delirium, when he kept insisting that he thought Gojo was busy—he wasn’t saying that because he thought Gojo wouldn’t come and save him, he was saying that because he was certain Gojo would save him if he found out in time. He just didn’t think Gojo would find out before the Zenin killed him.
If Gojo knew, then he’d come save Megumi. The Zenin could only get away with this because he was too busy to realize Megumi was missing.
Gojo was busy. Gojo was busy. It’s not that he didn’t care; it’s that he didn’t know. He’d save him if he just weren’t so busy.
I think Megumi would really struggle with this question if you asked him this in the present day. Not outwardly—he would say Nanami because that’s the safe, obvious answer, and he’d leave it at that.
But he’d struggle, because I think he knows that Gojo was actually his answer once. And I think he is afraid of looking too closely at whether that’s changed.

Non-Royal AU where Wilhelm and Simon have been best friends for years. Doing everything together, sharing secrets, telling each other everything first. They were inseparable.
But one day, Marcus, Simon's boyfriend of four years decided to propose to him. Simon never really thought about it but didn't see any reason to say no. Besides that's what relationships are heading towards, right? So, he accepted it. There shouldn't be anything wrong but for some reason, it doesn't feel right.
Marcus and him knew each other because of their moms. He was a nice guy, a bit pushy at times, but nice. Simon can't find any fault in him, he's not even sure why he's looking for a fault but there wasn't anything, right? The only thing he really dislikes about him though is how he doesn't get along with his best friend. He doesn't get it. It starts fights sometimes, Simon really hates that Marcus doesn't even try to like him.
Like, who wouldn't love Wille? C'mon, he's the best person in the world. It should be a red flag if he's being honest. But obviously, Wille being the most amazing and perfect person that he is, tries to be accommodating and polite, even if Simon had the feeling that he dislikes Marcus, too. There's nothing he can do about that. He just hopes Marcus will try to like Wille at one point, if he doesn't, he's not sure if this would even work.
The day after, he of course told Wille about it. He's the first person he tells anything to and Wille congratulated him. Simon told Wille that he wants him to be his best man and excitedly talked about how he and Wille can plan it together. Wille responded appropriately, if not a little cold. Simon ignored this nagging feeling of something being wrong with Wille's smile. His bestfriend needs some space sometimes and he'll tell him whatever it is once he's ready.
He wasn't worried. Not at all.
Until... he never heard of him again.
He didn't know it yet but the next day, Simon sent a 'good morning' text to Wille as usual (he's always the first person he texts when he wakes up) but it wasn't going through. He was confused but figured it wasn't a big deal. He'll call him later.
After Simon finished work with still nothing from Wille, he decided to call him. "We're sorry you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service." What the fuck. Simon was confused, he was literally just talking to him on the phone yesterday, like they do everyday. He shrugged it off, maybe Wille broke his phone or something, ignoring the feeling of something being very, very wrong.
He decided to visit him at his apartment and maybe tease him for being clumsy, pulling out the spare key that Wille gave him before. When the door opened, he found it empty. Not empty as in there was no one home, but the apartment was completely bare. As if no one had been there at all. The feeling intensified as he searched for answers, already on the verge of panicking.
Wille's neighbor popped out of his door, and was confused what Simon was doing there when Wille already moved out. Simon was even more confused, moved out? Since when? The neighbor helpfully informed him that he left yesterday, seemingly in a rush and didn't even bother organizing his things, just took everything and left. It must've been an emergency.
The neighbor looked at Simon, "I thought you'd know this already."
Simon felt as empty as the apartment he just left. "Yeah, I thought I would too."
Simon was worried now, wondering what might have happened.
He called Felice next, one of Wille's closest friends, asked if she knew something but she said that he hasn't talked to her. He called around too, all their mutual friends and even some that Simon dislikes but they all said the same thing. No one had any idea where Wilhelm had gone.
That night, Simon cried. He doesn't know what's going on. Where was his best friend, what happened to him? Is he okay?
Days passed, and turned to weeks. Simon felt miserable. It's like Wille took the life out of him and brought it with him. He just felt like crying at random times of the day, he doesn't really know what to do. He has never gotten separated from Wille before and certainly not with absolutely no contact.
Marcus and he had been fighting more because of that, with him accusing him of not even caring about their wedding preparations and honestly? The wedding is the least of his concerns right now. His best friend is missing. That's more important.
One day, he decided to talk to Felice to know if she had some news and caught her on her way to work. He didn't call out to her, seeing she's on the phone but waited until he noticed her.
"I know Wille, I'm so sorry". That caught Simon's attention and came closer.
"Is that Wille?" He accidentally yelled, startling Felice, who looked at him as if she's been caught doing something wrong.
"Well?" He doesn't care if he's rude at this point. If that's Wille, then he needs to speak to him no matter what.
"Uhh yeah. He just told me that he had some personal business which was why he left. He said it would be long before he can come back."
"Can I speak to him?"
"Sorry but he already hung up."
"Oh. Can you just give me his number? I'll call him instead."
"Um. Sorry, Simon but that's not his phone. He said he used someone else's because he doesn't have his." Felice had a hard time meeting his eyes and he pretended not to notice.
"Oh. Okay." Simon forced a smile and left, knowing she's hiding something. Simon wants to cry. What's going on?
He doesn't understand why Wille disappeared without a word, and why he's hiding like this. Did he commit a crime or something? Or is it his family? He knows that he has a complicated relationship with his family but what made him leave the life he had here?
And more importantly... why did Wille call Felice and not him?
He checked his phone. No missed calls or messages. He knows for a fact that Wille has his number memorized so why hasn't he called him?
Is he... avoiding him?
He goes through his days listlessly, doesn't even care about Marcus nagging at him. Like who cares if this or that needs to be done? What's the point of anything? What's even the point of having a wedding if Wille's not going to be there to be best man? Who cares at this point?
He's been so sad and irritable lately that his friends decided it was time to intervene.
"Speak. What is going on with you?" Rosh glared at him and he told her he just misses Wille.
"I understand that Simme but maybe he's just going through something. You said before that he needs space sometimes, right? You should give him that for now, focus on your wedding."
"Ugh. Why do people always have to bring that up? Am I not allowed to just be sad?"
"Simon, we're not saying you can't be sad but you're getting married in a couple of weeks and it seems like you're not even doing anything?"
"Wait, what? What date is it?"
"Bro, you're joking, right?'
"Uhh..."
"it's like you don't even care about getting married," Rosh laughed "it's a big thing you know?"
"Is it? It's not that big of a deal. Frankly, I'd rather not waste money on it. It's not that different to being in a relationship and living with someone right?"
Rosh and Ayub looked at him skeptically.
"Simon, why do you think people get married?"
"I don't know? Tax benefits?" His friends looked horrified. He doesn't understand. It's not like it means anything. His parents were married and look where that ended up. They still got divorced in the end, so it's nothing unlike dating and breaking up, right?
"Like, okay Simon. That's valid but I'm pretty sure you and Marcus will not be on the same page for that."
"What do you mean?"
"You're kidding, right? Do we really have to spell it out for you?" Rosh and Ayub looked at each other and Simon felt like being left out of a joke. "Please can you just hurry up and tell me. You're both being weird."
"Okay, see, most people get married because they want to spend the rest of their lives with each other. Through the good and the bad, all that shit. It's a promise. To be with each other, to laugh and cry together, hold each other through it all."
"Yeah, you have to be sure of the person because, again, you'll be spending your whole lives together. It has to be someone you love."
"And what does being in love mean?" His friends gave him another incredulous look but decided to humour him.
"Being in love is when you're yearning for someone, you know? You'd want to wake up next to them, you'd be happy just seeing their face, you think of them constantly, miss them when they aren't around and makes you feel unexplainable feelings that make you feel good and giddy. Things like that."
Oh. And that, Simon can understand.
"Do you get it now?"
"Yeah. I do."
"Really? Because I don't think you do."
"I do. I get it, I get what you said."
"Really? Explain it then."
"I mean I can't say it with a lot of words but it's like me and Wille."
"WHAT"
""Yeah, everything you just said, it's like me and Wille. I understand that now."
Speaking of Wille, where is he? Why did he leave? He should be here. Simon needs him to be here because he always makes him feel better. He needs to be here because Simon is worried and confused but Wille makes everything make sense. He should be here to hold him and smile at him and make him feel all kinds of feelings just being by his side, feelings he wouldn't mind having for the rest of his life. Because Wille always makes him happy.
He huffs angrily then sadly. All he wants is for him to see him again and then everything will be better. It's always better with Wille.
'Wille, please come back. I need you.'
"What?" Simon snapped out of his trance after Rosh called out to him for what doesn't seem like the first time.
"Simon, are you even hearing yourself right now?"
Oh. He said all of that outloud. Cool.
So what though? It's not like he said something untrue. Why did they look like that?
He looked to Ayub, hoping he had some answers.
"Bro, please. Just really think of everything you said and think of why you said what you did. Just think about it." He's almost begging at this point.
He tried. He went through everything he was just thinking of in detail. All thoughts of marriage and love and Wille and- something clicked. And seeing his friends' horrified looks, realization dawned on him.
Oh.
He's in love with Wille.
Fuck. What is he supposed to do now?

🪷 [bonus] a little insight into ayato's character

-> ayato doesn't know about childe and lumine. it happened while he was away and they never mentioned it again, he knows that childe dated someone but hasn't made the connection.
-> ayato thinks y/n is completely over him for various reasons – back in chapter 9 she did say they were just friends, while he had the impression they could still be something more. he became sure of it once everything between scara and y/n happened.
-> he liked lumine – as a friend, that is. they got along really well and were cool with each other. at one point he started wondering if it could be something more but dismissed the idea at first. then he started confusing his jealousy towards y/n and scaramouche with his feelings for lumine, that's why he blurted out that he does like her in chapter 20.
-> he really wanted to be at least friends with y/n as they were back while he was away after their break-up. he was really hurt and disappointed when he saw y/n and scara in chapter 23. after that, he wanted her to feel at least one bit of what he felt then, as he thought she didn't care. kaeya was partly right in what he said about ayato's reasoning in chapter 29.
-> ayato thinks y/n and scaramouche are together or at least fwb.
-> in chapter 31, when y/n dared him to kiss lumine, he thought she was giving him the green light. the look of hurt that flashed briefly on his face was him realizing that it's the end and there really is no hope left. he gave up then. the smirk he pulled out right away was his go to poker face, he couldn't let anyone notice what he was feeling. in the middle of it all, he really just hoped y/n would say anything or show any sign of her being bothered by the whole situation.
-> lumine is his rebound. he's very confused with his feeling and admits he confessed to her on a whim and just went along with it. the "dates" they went on were platonic on his side - he really just tried to figure everything out. in the beginning he also hoped he'd see y/n more if he got closer to her roommate.
-> he's obviously very bad with communicating his real feelings, the only person he can be somewhat honest with is thoma. he loves all his friends very much but just doesn't want to bother them with trivial things. ayaka loves her brother dearly but doesn't dare meddle with his affairs unless he crosses a certain line and she snaps.
-> the reason why he came back is because he missed his friends and sister, and never got over his relationship with y/n. he didn't date anyone after they broke up either.
-> y/n and ayato remained friends after their break-up, they would occasionally text each other and talk about their days etc. y/n would tell him about some cute boy she saw on campus and he would tell her about girls his mom tried to set him up with, nothing ever really happened and they didn't give themselves the right to be jealous whatever the case was. that's part of the reason why he told her about lumine, the other part i mentioned before - he hoped she would be jealous, hurt or something.
-> when y/n and scaramouche hooked up ayato started thinking that all this time he was just a rebound to her. one part of him knew she wouldn't do that but the other was convincing him that the reason she had no reaction to him and lumine, and the way she could stay friends with him after the break-up was because of it.
-> after they broke up he checked up on her through ayaka, tho y/n never found out about that.
–> what y/n felt in chapter 31 he felt in chapter 23, but since the story is from y/n's pov we never really got to see his inner thought process and feelings. he went after her because he was really worried considering the amount of alcohol she consumed that night, and even though he was talking to lumine he payed attention to y/n the entire night. he always did.
–> all in all, he basically did suffer all throughout the smau we just didn't get the chance to see it from his pov.
-> him and lumine never really talked about y/n. while lumine knows deep down that y/n still cares about him (but choose to ignore it), she never had the guts to ask ayato how he felt, and he didn't start that conversation either.
–> (kinda) spoiler! future ayato will want to smack present ayato as much as all of us do ;)
-> (kinda) spoiler 2! as he cares about his friends a lot, he's gonna feel really bad when he finds out about childe and lumine. he also really regrets wanting to hurt y/n.

SYNOPSIS what happens when your ex comes back from abroad and you realize you still like him, but as destiny likes to play with us all it just so happens that he starts getting closer with your roommate? what will you do?
a/n – a lot of people have asked me for an ayato pov since the smau started, and i figured i should finally do it since we're nearing the end. this is not his redemption arc! he did some shitty things and is continuing to do them in present time in the smau, i just thought he deserved to have his side of the story heard (after i've had my fun looking at you all hating on him for months 😋). with that said, the fact is that this entire mess would've never existed if both y/n and ayato just communicated properly.

The Diary of Feyre Archeron Ch 7
Tumblr media
Chapter seven is here! It's getting a little angsty, buckle in. Full fic on AO3.
Words: 1.8k
TW: kidnapping, in a way
December 8th
I've been working for Rhys for two weeks now and I thought I was lucky to not cross ways with him at all during that time but yesterday he went home just as my shift ended, so we both went out at the same time. Yesterday of all days it was raining cats and dogs and because it is Rhys, ever the gentleman, he insisted he'd drive me home. I must admit that I haven't declined as much as I should have, I agreed pretty easily but you try walking home, or even to the next bus stop, in Velaris rain. It doesn't rain often but when it does, it's chaos.
The drive was pretty quiet for the first half, and tense. At least from my side. I can't decline that Rhys is even more attractive now than he was when we were fifteen. I was a girl and I had a crush on a boy. Now I am a woman and he, well, he is a man. A really big, muscular, manly man. The most beautiful man I have ever seen if I'm being honest but all of this doesn't excuse that he lied to me back then. That I have to live this life because of him. He saved us with this, yes, but I'm sure somehow this all could have been avoided if he told me. We could have found a way, together, but he tried to do it all on his own.
Well, when we stopped at a red light he broke the silence to ask me how I was doing. It didn't take a genius to know he was genuinely interested but I couldn't really tell him that I am still hurt about something that happened eight years ago because if I would there is a possibility he would ask why and I had to tell him it's not what he did (I mean, yes, that too but it's not the reason why I was that hurt) but that the real reason is that I am was in love with him and my heart broke at the possibility he would ever lie to me that way about something that would ruin my whole family. I trusted him.
Shit, I'm babbling. I probably don't even make sense? Do I make sense? Probably not.
Anyways, Tamlin picked me up later that day and I spent the night with him. He was in a weird mood again and asked me tons of questions about my sisters for some reason. I don't like answering questions about them, not because we don't have a story we tell people but because I could slip up. Sometimes I still call them by their real names in the comfort of our own four walls, it's a dangerous game, I had to shut him up by distracting him.
This morning we ate brunch with Lucien, the mood lighter again, which was mostly thanks to Lucien and his questionable jokes. It was funny. I didn't laugh, Tamlin doesn't want me to laugh at other people's jokes.
After brunch we all went our own ways, Tamlin went home, Lucien went to visit his mom and I walked downtown to work.
Rhys was in again today, I don't know why but I also don't care, he probably just had to deal with some things because the Lounge just opened.
December 12th
Today has been stressful. It's christmas season and Mara, Daisy and I tried shopping for a new couch. It was hell. After a guy poured coffee all over Mara’s shirt and a fight almost broke out between them, we gave up and went home. It started snowing like crazy about half way home and Daisy almost walked into a door because we could barely see between the flocks of snow. It was cold and by the minute we got more and more miserable. We decided to wait for the weather to clear up in a Café where we sipped hot chocolate when suddenly Rhys turned up and I tried to hide behind a menu because I didn't want him to see me all disheveled from the day. I think I succeeded because when I looked up he was gone. Mara looked at me weirdly. No, I wouldn't say weird. Knowingly, she knew what's up and I hate that she knows, but luckily, she didn't say anything. But at home she accused me of wearing her shirt, which wasn't even true, we just have similar shirts. We fought but that's okay, when dinner time rolled around we shared the last pizza roll.
Right after dinner Tamlin called and insisted on coming over to our apartment to spend time there, Mara looked at me like she'd kill him with her bare hands if he came over and even Elain shook her hand. Truth be told, I don't feel comfortable with him coming over. Not because I am ashamed of our apartment, we really tried to make it homely. I like it. But, I don't know, it's just a feeling I can't shake. I don't really want anyone here but us, it's our sanctuary, in a way. I never took anyone to our apartment. Never.
I had to make up some excuse about having explosive diarrhea and that was enough for Tamlin to leave it. Maybe I should tell him the truth but, honestly, I am scared of his reaction.
Am I the problem??
December 14th
Tamlin and I agreed that i spent my birthday with him. As much as I would like to be with my sisters, I had to agree because he's getting antsy about me not inviting him to my apartment. At least we found a solution for now.
Also, Rhys saw me in the Café two days ago. I was kind of embarrassed when he told me but, as surprising as it was, we slipped into banter pretty easily, just like 8 years ago. I've missed it so much. Just the banter today felt like a step forward between us. The more we talk, the more I realize I want to forgive him, SO badly. Maybe we should talk it out, maybe I should listen to his side of the story. I never bothered, have I? Maybe I should have listened before blowing up on him. And I did, I really blew up on him and he just let me. I really want to hear his story.
Am I crazy?
I don't know.
I just miss my best friend, a lot. He's here now, against all odds. We find each other in a city thousands of miles away from home, isn't that a sign?
Letter from Feyre Archeron to Rhysand
December 15th
Dear Rhys,
I really don't know how to start this letter, I feel like no words in the world could express how I feel, but I'm going to try.
My plan was to talk to you today but I saw you standing at the bar, talking to Rita, and all the words left my mind. I need to write this down or I'm going to forget half of this, you still have that effect on me.
I want a new start for us, if you are willing to.
I've talked to you really harshly years ago, I never gave you a chance to explain yourself. More importantly, I know you wanted to protect me, you always want to protect the people close to you. I should have looked past my fury, I should have given you a chance, and after my mistreatment of you, you still helped my sisters and I, which I will be forever grateful for. If you can't forgive me, I understand but if you are willing to try, you'd make me the happiest woman in the world.
Since you came back into my life, I realized how much I missed you. There has always been a shadow where you should have been. You were my friend, my best friend, and I was yours. I really wish to become your friend again, to be a person you can trust, a person you feel comfortable around. I can't describe how sorry I am, but I'd like to show you. If you let me.
We can start new, we can leave the past behind us. You and me.
Please text me or talk to me or write a letter back or whatever you want to do, if you want this, too.
Sincerely,
Yours
Unsent Letter from Rhysand to Feyre Archeron
Dear Feyre
Dear Clare
I miss you
I missed you
There is nothing to forgive
There is no need to apologize
Come home
I would die for you
I'm yours
I love you,
December 20th
I promised Mara and Daisy we would celebrate my birthday when I'm back from Tamlin’s. With our combined income we can afford a little night out, I'm pretty excited. Especially for Daisy's cake. I'm always open to new flavors so Daisy is trying something different every year for me. Mara is more of a chocolate cake girl, so that's her birthday cake flavor almost every year. For my birthday two years okay Daisy made me a lemon raspberry cake and it was so good, I'm still dreaming about it.
But I'll only get my birthday cake in a few days. At Tamlin’s it is probably going to be his favorite flavor. I don't mind, I don't want him to go extra lengths for me, it's not important.
I'm packing right now, because I'm going to spend the night with him.
I'm excited to see Lucien again, I missed him. He had his own stuff going on with his family these days, hanging out will hopefully be a little reprieve for him.
I should go to sleep now, it's pretty late.
I shouldn't be this nervous about a stupid birthday, right? He's my boyfriend.

Here’s a list of all the Kdramas/Korean movies that I watched in 2023 + some of my thoughts (spoiler free)
The Glory
-Gonna be honest, I only started watching because Kim Hieora and Jung Sung Il are in this show.
-But I ended up really liking it. The bullying scenes were horrifying, the characters were memorable, and overall it was very well made.
Stranger
-HWANG SIMOK! I love him so much! BAE DOONA! I love her so much!
-I loved all the characters and all the twists
Stranger 2
-This season was good too. Seeing the dynamics and relationships between all the characters change was so interesting
Unlocked
-IM SIWAN! The reason why I watched this movie <3
-Is it the best and most unique movie? No. Was it pretty good and entertaining? Yeah!
All Of Us Are Dead
-Even in the zombie apocalypse they’re not free of bullying.
-My heart broke many times. Those poor kids didn’t deserve to go through all of that! (Except Na Yeon. I still don’t like her.)
The Glory Part 2
-Not the typical type of revenge. But I think it’s a very fitting ending.
Physical 100
-This show inspired me to start taking better care of myself.
-Watching everyone hype up this show so much then watching all the controversies come out in real time was crazy. Looking forward to season 2
Kingdom
-This show was on my radar because that zombie dude from Physical 100 said he did the choreography
-I love all of the characters and the zombies were so freaky
Kingdom 2
-The Queen might’ve been the scariest part of this show
-I love this show, season 3? Maybe?
Kingdom: Ashin of the North
-Han Ho Yeol from DP?!?!
-It was really interesting seeing another side to this story
Silent Sea
-BAE DOONA! GONG YOO!
-I don’t understand why this flopped. I really liked this show!
Siren: Survive The Island
-I was team athlete til the end! (I thought Kim Seong Yeon was hot)
-If there isn’t a season 2 I’m going to fight Netflix
Misaeng
-Im Siwan <3
-I really like this show. It really gave me hope and it honestly inspired me to work harder. I’m also trying to learn to play baduk
D.P. 2
-So many emotions. The ending left me feeling a bit empty. I’ve grown so attached to these characters and now it’s just over.
The Wailing
-I think I need to watch this a second time to really analyze it.
-I really like the sfx makeup
Monster
-Accurate representation of neurodivergent people/mentally disabled people? No.
-Interesting villain and fight scenes? Yes
Hide and Seek
-I really liked the twist and how eerie the vibes were
Memoir of a Murder
-I love unreliable narrators. Not knowing what’s real and what isn’t really puts you on the end he of your seat
-Also I didn’t even realize that was Kim Nam Gil
The Policeman’s Lineage
-I only watched this for Kwon Yul
-Decent story but I feel like it fell short of its potential
Hansel and Gretel
-Solid start but I didn’t realize that it was going in the direction that it did
-Not the ending that I expected but I’m satisfied with it
Ballerina
-Honestly, they were so over dramatic when it came to the bdsm stuff. Like okay, he’s kinky. That’s the least concerning thing about him.
-My mom got me to watch this because she likes Kim Ji Hoon
The Mimic
-Interesting concept with interesting characters
-The ending was so fitting, I’m very satisfied with it
Champion
-Another movie I watched for Kwon Yul
-I really like this movie, it’s very comforting and funny
Mother
-This is a cautionary tale, you cannot tell me otherwise!
-I was SHOCKED! It was just so sudden. I don’t know how to explain it without spoiling what happened.
Sweet Home 2
-Interesting. I’m not sure what I expected from this season but this wasn’t it.
-I found it entertaining but I’m not quite sure if I like how they’re approaching this new thing that they’re doing.
