Howdy ho! I'm very excited to finally be able to share this illustration I worked on as part of this year's @bumblebybigbang for @tahnex's lovely and super fun fic (with no pain attached whatsoever), "Of Dragons and Panthers," which you can read here! As soon as I read the original notes on it this scene captured me so much I had to do something dramatic for it. It's been such a pleasure watching the whole collab come together, tysm for having me!

First time joining an event like this, and I'd love to again if the opportunity comes around hehe. Still a few postings to go on this one, the pieces before us this year have knocked it out of the park and I'm super excited to see the rest once they come around!

Made a few process cuts just for fun, which I left under the cut!

I did do a few sketches roughly before I started out, especially based on other parts of the chapter, but this particular composition was so fixed in my mind that I ended up just sticking with it. In retrospect, I would've loved to go back and do some more thorough exploration for it. Here are a few of the sketches I managed to fish back up:

I also was thinking of trying a few other doodles/another big piece, but ended up not really having the time between other obligations :')

Inking was SUCH a fun process on this piece in particular. I'm a huge fan of how dragon!Yang's mane turned out, especially, and all the detailing on the head and around Blake's fur and such. Feel like I'm really satisfied w the particular way the line weight variations came out, and it's where the piece shines the most imo.

Panther!Blake, too. Oh gosh. I feel like it took me a lot of reworking to get her structure to a point where she felt very leopard-like, rather than any other type of big cat- especially around the head.

Colours were such a challenging part. There was a big feeling I had for that glow coming off dragon!Yang in the middle of the heavy rain- I love seeing that sort of effect in real life so that's something I'm really hoping to work to capture better as I practice. Trying to get dragon!Yang's slight iridescence in there and to balance out the lighting on panther!Blake's fur each took a long time, too- I'm only a pinch sad that a good chunk of it is covered by other lighting effects XD

Blake's rosettes were SO fun. Augguhugg.

In terms of backgrounds. HOO boy I was going through a strange patch in life while working on the background and final polish for this piece, which is why (at least I feel like) it looks kinda rushed. I have been practicing natural landscapes and doing some observational studies but still struggling to get those rock shapes quite right, which I think is a big make or break point of something like this. I did really enjoy toying around with inking on the foliage and foreground layers of the ground, though! And in the end, lighting and effects ended up masking a lot of the big weak spots :D

I think natural effects like smoke/steam, and rain, are big things that I got to practice more of in this piece, but also really would like to get better at in future. Esp since I feel like it's been a great opportunity to mess around with different colours and brushes that I use way less, which I'm always grateful for w painting. I think just layering the rain on its own ended up being about 10 odd layers?

I think the only other thing I would have loved to improve is to just help the piece feel more Bumbleby™ in the final look. I think I like the cool colours of the lighting for this particular outcome, but I also would have probably tried to have made things much clearer (ahem at the very least switch to yellow/purple) in the long run in terms of representation and resemblance. Ik that at least for me it is fairly easy to associate the two characters with dragons and panthers since I'm more familiar w the fandom lingo around these two, but esp for outsiders I feel like it's probably not great at conveying who they are, and why they are potentially in this situation.

I'd also love to try and find a shading style that still has a painterly quality but compliments the inking a bit better, rather than overpowering it.

I think that, on the whole, I am pretty satisfied with the piece and had a great time working with Tahnex on the whole collab! And I've also has a fun time reading his work and notes in return, and thank you so much for being so so patient with me even as my updates were slow n rocky at points :'D

OH MAN RAINBOWCLAN… i was such a fan of the series!!! glad to see you picked clangen back up (assuming you even put it down).

rainbowclan was another instance where i struggled to become attached to my clangen characters and make a proper story out of the events that generated. if you watch it, nothing really happens story wise, and so i tried loading the videos with funny edits to make it entertaining. really the only major plot event that came out of rainbowclan in the 100+ moons it was ran was the two dark forest siblings (i forgot their names LOL) because it was hard for me to come up with plots on the spot in the middle of recording. i also am super socially awkward and i struggle with words a lot, even when talking to myself on a recording, and it required heavy editing to make myself sound coherent. and i got really sick of editing really quickly xd

i much rather prefer this (glitterclan's) style of clangen storytelling, because i get to allow myself a lot more time to really think about events and how to connect them to make a story. i also really like writing comic-form stories. even only at moon 26 i have a strong attachment to all of the characters because i have had the opportunity to flesh each and every one of them out! it's gonna suck when more characters die LOL

If everyone in P:EG had a console, what games would they be into?

Small CH1 spoilers

Cassidy: All of them, but particularly anything highly competitive and with a lot of depth.

Damon: Logic and puzzle games, since he likes feeling smart after beating them. Though he has a soft spot for visual novels with a horror/mystery aspect, such as Slay the Princess, Doki Doki Literature Club, and Danganronpa, for similar reasons. (I mean, he's the protag, I had to give him Dangan xD)

Desmond: First person shooters, because he's really good at them and takes pride in that.

Diana: Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Minecraft, and similar sandboxy/simulator games with a peaceful atmosphere. Uses games to chill, and loves forming deep attachments to NPCs. Has cried over the death of a Minecraft wolf before, but then again, who hasn't?

Eloise: Fighting games, since she can apply quite a few of the concepts used in fencing while playing them. The only reason she didn't go to the Super Slam Sisters tournament is that she can get kinda intense playing them and didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable (this might be a great moment to remind everyone these are pretty unserious headcanons and nothing else :v).

Eva: RPGs are her jam, but she also enjoys puzzle and logic games, especially if they involve real world science.

Grace: Anything highly competitive, especially sport or fighting games.

Ingrid: According to her profile, she likes combat, so she's partial to fighting games, though she generally doesn't like video games too much.

Jean: Party games such as Mario Party, because it's what his crew plays on his ship when they bring a console, so it reminds him of home.

Jett: Racing games, for obvious reasons, but he can also enjoy anything with a competitive element.

Kai: He prefers playing mobile games, mainly runner style. He's the in-universe person who popularized the "Subway Surfers on the side of the video" Tiktok strategy by using his own gameplay. He's actually surprisingly good at it.

Mark: Rhythm games. Is secretly a top tier osu player. No one has connected the dots between said top player and Mayhem, and Mark would like to keep it that way.

Toshiko: Dating sims, she calls it "research." Also thoroughly enjoys RPGs with interesting characters, but which have a relatively lighthearted theme, like Undertale and Pokemon.

Ulysses: Although he dislikes computers per his student profile, if he has to choose a game, it would be something trivia or puzzle based. Again, he likes both those things according to his profile.

Wolfgang: Visual novels are his jam, and his favorite is obviously Ace Attorney. Even if he does get ticked off every time he spots some kind of inaccuracy in the depiction of the legal system. To quote him: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN UPDATED AUTOPSY REPORT?!?!?!??!"

Wenona: Resource management strategy games, such as Factorio. Since she feels a pretty deep connection to bears (it's her animal symbol and she has a tattoo of one), the Clickteam FNAF games are her guilty pleasure, and she's beat UCN's 50/20 a few times, no Death Coin needed.

Tozu: He enjoys any game where he can either inflict suffering (Plague Inc, Sims, etc.) or let out his theater kid roleplaying skills.

Mara: Gruesome first person shooters and Animal Crossing. No inbetween.

Cara: Educational games and mobile games.

Ngl, read this like a year almost after it was sent- I've been really hands off with my tumblr until just recently. Sorry for this late response. Wow, just wow. NEVER thought I'd be listening to a PODCAST about one of my fav ships from like years ago like WHOO this is kinda strange even for me. I'm not gonna lie I'm feeling like I'm being analyzed as a fan XD The podcasters were very good in getting a lot of information regarding this topic, and a lot of the progression they mentioned, like how we're "anime fans" that put on our "yaoi goggles"- I can see that describing me- especially for NoCo.

My Total Drama phase (goes in and out btw) was a time where I had PLENTY of drawing/fanfiction writing time. I had plenty of ideas regarding the show and really loved and focused on the characters.

One thing I wanna comment on- The podcasters mention a LOT that Noah and Cody only interacted for like 2 min- which is something I've been told a LOT while I was drawing on Deviantart, writing fanfictions, and so forth. I won't lie, thinking about it now it really does feel kinda crazy. But it's what I liked. I've always been the type of fan to get super attached to a character, and then ship them with people who I feel would/could take care of them- pair well, etc.

I REALLY liked Noah. He was funny. He was sarcastic. And the way he acted, I learned later that he was the youngest of a big family. Maybe that bit resonated well with me? Not sure. Either way, I just thought that with the Cody kiss in the early episodes that maybe it had potential? Whatever, I just rolled with it.

I still like it but I'll be honest I pumped a FIST at the mention of the fact that Alenoah is the biggest Noah ship on ao3. Cuz... that kinda became my fav after a while lmao I still ship NoCo, too, tho.

The podcast kinda taught me a LOT about the fandom as a whole- cuz I'll be honest a lot of the toxic behaviors that were mentioned towards fans... I don't know if I was really met with any of that. Maybe I was told in a comment or two that they'd never get together, but was I really gonna fight someone about it? Nah, too much headspace and effort. I did it for myself. I did it to enjoy my time in a way I could. And I was thankful for any/all attention I got from the ship due to comments on my fanfictions and my art.

Hearing about its resurgence makes a lot more sense to me now. I did all of my art and such when I was younger, and then it suddenly kinda died out, and then it kinda came back suddenly in feeds, in fanfic amounts, etc. Didn't realize a lot about how that resurgence came to be, so good to know!

Overall, I feel kinda strange. Analyzed. Looking back at old projects and such- even my old Deviantart! But I don't necessarily feel bad. I almost feel seen in a way? Maybe even nostalgic. This podcast made me go back and look at all of my Total Drama works and really analyze how I got here. It's really showing just how much time has passed for me... and that's just wow.

11) What was your inspiration for your OC?

There is always a catalyst for when I make a new character. Some drive, or some impetus. I'll try to remember the main catalyst for each character of mine, let's start from the top!

The Lily - Lily was inspired by Kugane at large and Historical Japanese Fiction. I had already long shifted to Au Ra at the beginning of HW, but when I dipped my toes in the water of RP during the Stormblood lulls, i settled on the exiled Shinobi background, wanting to not make a WoL.

The Azalea - Archie's main inspiration is and will always be, the Tenth Doctor. Its my favorite few seasons of New Who and I wanted an old character that was reborn multiple times. Hence my looks at Dr. Who. XD

The Rose - Benoit is not actually my creation! He is my wife's first and foremost, but she let me play him as her first mate. He's mine now though. :3 General pirate things are his inspiration.

The Sunflower - A'tyla was my thoughts on if a Hyur was raised by Miqo'te. That's it. XD She's long grown past that.

The Gardenia - Yasha is inspired by none other than her namesake, Yasha Nydoorin of the Might Nein. The sapphic nature, falling for a punchy punch girl, her quieter nature with some silly jokes. Yasha was actually a run off of when I made Tatiava. I wanted a Garlean character and couldn't decide between Highlander or Midlander, so I said, Por que no los dos?

The Snapdragon - Tatiava was a direct response to people making villainous Garlean characters. I wanted a double agent who could dip in both crowds. Did I ever actually get a chance? NOPE. XD It is what it is.

The Dahlia - Lhei was made from what little we knew of Old Sharlayan at the time of her creation, late shadowbringers. I was just getting back into RP again after losing the drive in late Stormblood.

The Strelitzia - Beatrice is from my dnd game! A character I've got the chance to properly play. I think when I made her I just needed the sapphic goodness of her and her partner. T.T Speaking of...

The Tulip - Mai is also from my dnd game! Mai was an npc my players got real attached to and well, she evolved from there. She's always been mute tho.

The Triteleia - Myste just formed fully into my consciousness one day and well, there he is! He is inspired by Dynamis and its crazy applications tho.

The Gladiolus - Jana is near and dear to my heart. I wanted to revisit an old echo idea I had for Lily that had got cut late in her development. And I ran with it. Now Jana is my weird future child that doesn't care about where she is from.

The Linnaeas - Pola and Deta are the easiest to spot the inspiration. They are based off of Popola and Devola from the Nier Francise. Specifically the Automata ones. Later they've been heavily influenced by Ianthe and Coronabeth of the Locked Tomb series.

The Hyacinth - Eulanne is inspired by the Dark Urge of Baldur's Gate 3. I just wanted to remake my sorta good guy Durge (i raided the grove my darling Minthara in that run, but she's been trying to do better since!) and I thought it would be cool to tie it to Reaper/Voidsent lore.

The Amaryllis - Marisol was spawned from the Viper reveals at the first DT fanfest. Nothing more influenced her original development.

The Lewisia - Glifet is anther Dr. Who inspired character, this time based off of a Cyberman. A what if you could say, a rehabilitated Cyberman.

The Iris - Lucca is just Lucca from Chrono Trigger with a bisexual streak. Chronic inventor, not much works right the first few times. Super smart. Those glasses.

The Aconite - Tista-Moa came to me in a work haze. I just had the idea, i wrote down what i thought about her and her very strange journey, came home and made her! I don't have enough villains to scratch that itch so she was a delight to make.

The Dicentra - Cissnei came about cause I am/was interested in playing as a Zenos-like character. Cissnei has evolved past that by now, but that is her start! I got so attached to her I finished the EW story in a single weekend with her. XD

That's all my debuted flowers... now for the few undebuted ones.

The Celosia - Sarel is my main dnd PC right now, and I saw the Celosia flower at the local green house and I wanted to make a character based on it. So I ported her over (somewhat, she is more different than the other dnd based ones) and she has been patiently waiting for months to be debuted. One day I'll that up. XD

The Nerine - Hinoka is Lily's rival from waaaaay back. I just felt like putting a name and face to the standin I had been using for Lily's story. Oh, and a nerine is a Spider Lily. :3

The Jasmine - Kokolai came about because I wanted an RP character to manage my submarines for me. He's just a merchant that loves his surrogate daughter. ^_^

The Protea - Tanzanite is a direct response to Solution 9 and its inhabitants. How fun it would be to have a scientist from there. She also just spawned from me messing with hair on Lily's fromer lady. >.>;

The Snowdrop - Agate just willed themself into existance. Also inspired by the DT story, they were the product of me sitting down to make a Sol 9 character and failing, making a Yyasulani native the wished to return to the sunlit world.

The Belladonna - Jane is, with no shame, directly inspired by Jane Doe of Zenless Zone Zero. That character has me by the throat. XD Add in a mix of Agent 47 and you get my Jane!

And that's everyone! A bit long, but I was on a roll if I'm being honest.

Okay I’m starting a new series on here called “I just finished this game” where I gush about a game I just finished.

Anyway, if you’re a fan of musicals, visual novels, or Greek mythology, you NEED to play Stray Gods.

If you haven’t heard of it before, Stray Gods is a visual novel with branching story routes, but it has the twist of also being a musical! Many of the game’s major choices take place in the songs themselves, and the songs will actually changed based on your decisions! Each song has numerous different permutations based on around 3-5 choices in each one. I recommend checking out Challenging a Queen, one of the early game songs that’s relatively light on spoilers, to see how some of the choices really add some spice to the game and weave through the songs.

The game’s story just follows Grace, a 20-something girl who witnesses the death of Calliope, the Last Muse, and to make matters worse, she has inherited her powers and role. The Chorus, leaders of the remaining Greek gods (known as Idols), give Grace one week to prove her innocence before she is executed, and the line of Calliope is gone forever.

Accompanying her on this journey are a variety of gods, monsters, and her mortal (strictly platonic… strictly) roommate, Freddie. The cast of Stray Gods is easily its best aspect, full of lovable and complex characters, leaving you laughing a lot, sobbing sometimes, and sometimes not knowing who to trust. And when it’s backed up by a fantastic voice cast, and nearly every character getting their own song if not multiple, I’d be astounded if you managed to get through the game without getting attached to SOMEONE lol.

(For the record, my favorite characters are Freddie, Persephone, and Aphrodite hehe)

And of course, what’s a musical without its music? The soundtrack of Stray Gods is absolutely incredible, even beyond the incredible amount of work and dedication it took to integrate so many variations of all the songs in the game. Lots of variety with the genre, sometimes even changing in the middle of a song! If I haaad to pick a few favorites, I suppose it’d be The Ritual, Look Into Me, and If Only. I’m a sucker for the emotional songs, but Look Into Me is suuuuuch a banger, it feels so threatening and I LOVE it.

OKAY now I’m gonna gush about my favorite parts of the story and get all spoilery so if you don’t want to be spoiled, DON’T KEEP READING! Go play the game yourself! Iirc it’s on all current platforms. Enjoy :)

So HOLY SHIT APHRODITE’S SONG HIT ME LIKE A BRICK??? I love the moral dilemma her whole cycle of rebirth puts you in, deciding whether to honor her wishes and let her die again or to convince her to find peace in life rather than trying to forget. I tried SO HARD to save her without forcing her and she ended up passing on anyways.

Persephone’s character is also SOOOO well done here, the reinterpretation of her story where she kills Hades is a fantastic direction to take her character. She ended up being my main investigative partner for the game and I did NOT regret it. I almost ended up romancing her, and I definitely will on my next playthrough, but I didn’t this time because of…

Freddie!!! Freddie absolutely rules and is my favorite character in the whole game. Mortal Greek mythology nerd who is super gay and wears a cool hat, how could I NOT love her??? My heart was completely torn to shreds when she died, and even though I knew she had to be able to come back somehow because you could romance her, the fury it raised in me made me blaze through the last four hours of the game and finish it in one sitting XD.

And JEEZ the way they let you bring her back is so well done. It’s not outright good or bad, it’s complex! Freddie and Grace are both traumatized by her death and resurrection, and the fact that you went against Freddie’s wishes and passed the line of Calliope onto her just makes it even more interesting from a storytelling perspective. It’s part of what makes If Only one of my favorite songs in the game. And of course, I’m a sucker for stories of unrequited love like Freddie’s is for Grace and now I’m gonna feel so guilty romancing anyone else 😭. Freddie is so relatable istg.

8th March ‘24 - [arch] colour!!!! community!!!

Hey Shri! <3 

Wow!!!! I’ve seen the finished Brothers Lionheart cover already, but those thumbnails are just incredible. I know you plan to move away from the dark/horror vibes of those images but they’re so impactful!! For sure save those compositions for something else. You’ve put so so much thought into those compositions, it’s inspiring me to put that level of thought into my images too. It's nuts!!!

So y’know how the plan for this blog was to take it easy and do a little at a time? Maybe just pop in and update each other on what we’ve been working on, or even what’s been inspiring us? Well, we haven’t exactly been taking it easy have we :// At the beginning of writing this I thought it was gonna be a chill one but,,, it turned out not to be.

I was lucky enough to be back in Cardiff for a bit the other week, so I hit up the Riso studio. It was super lovely seeing everyone - really made me realise the value of having an artistic community. (for context, I have been travelling recently and it’s been weird, after uni, to not be surrounded by other illustrators)

About once a month, my shared print studio has an event called Open Haus, where we’re open to the public but also loads of members will come in, have a cuppa and a biscuit and talk about art stuff. I happened to be doing some riso printing and Gavin, who’s a right babe and an excellent riso artist, was once again giving me a hand. I love working with other people in the studio, bouncing ideas off them. It sometimes helps me get out of my head (though with practice, I’m also learning to do that by myself!)

Here’s a bit of development work for the print I did a few days before printing. It was actually a bit of development for my comfort characters’ home - but as you know i love building my skills through fun things like that! Trick yourself in to improving xD

This is the print I made!! It’s titled ‘Space Fyn’, named after a place I associate with home <3 

I ran into a bit of an issue with the blue, which I originally planned to use. Once I printed it, I hated it (blehhhhhh), so! We tried a mint out instead. I still didn’t like it. But thankfully, Gavin did this thing where he made me step back and view it from afar and then I liked it again (this has happened twice now I think I need to learn to step back without his help ://) Also, there were about 10 people in the studio, and they all voted on the mint, so I printed a run of 15! (ps. you can order them by dming me on Instagram)

Later, I was showing a friend the progress and she made some great points. The dark blue gives more of an evening vibe, while the mint gives more of a sunrise vibe, a bit brighter. But also, it totally changes the tone! This has led me to think more about how different colours can be used for particular vibes :0 and how can we bend that and make it more interesting than ‘red danger’ and ‘blue sad’. 

Some notes I took from our conversation

Looking at colours in particular genres (they are used differently in specific ways in different contexts) 

for example in Westerns, good guys wearing a white hat and bad guys wearing black hats - misc characters wearing brown.

Light sabres in Star Wars very clearly symbolising ideology

Characters attached to colour - she uses blue and red to symbolise characters that oppose each other in some way, for example.

Character designs, using colours that match well for more grounded characters, and colours that clash for more unstable characters

Power rangers!!

What colour is your ‘normal’ for the world? And how will specific characters break that or blend in?

All of these are just prompts and thinking points of course, it’ll take a lot of exploring to know how i want to apply these to my work.

I was lucky enough to attend Plymouth Comic and Zine fair!!!!! (this is me :0 !!)

It was very lovely, I really enjoyed seeing people from uni, the general Plymouth illustration scene, and those few illustrators you know but only really see at fairs. I also got the opportunity to have some awesome chats about illustration (shoutout to that one hermitcraft fan who let me ramble about Minecraft builds and setting design for a bit <3). I had a chat with the wonderful Ben Wright and Jess Holloway about colours, especially in narrative, and here are some ideas I took away from that!

They didn’t have any specific suggestions for books about colour and narrivite,  but again, film came up! Colours in film are discussed a lot, and vary a lot in genre, so i’ll have to do some looking into that.

Colour in context with shape and composition

I was very excited after PCZF and got hyperfixated on a little drawing. You and I were chatting about folds in clothes at the fair, so this image was to play with that a bit.

I decided to use the colour pick tool from my reference for accurate colours, which I don’t normally do. I do have a habit of going too light with my values, and a bit swampy and desaturated with my colours. When I started with her trousers, I thought it was wayyyy too dark, but I decided to stick with it till the end anyway. Even though it clearly worked in the reference image, I was still surprised it worked on mine. This has proved to me that it’s okay to push and use some darker colours - which is a bit scary but I’m going to give it a go.

I also saw this incredible image by @applestruda using wonderful colours! This led me to play around with some high-saturation images. I wanted to draw one of GeminiTay’s builds with the spooky vibes she’s been trying to capture. I downloaded applestruda’s image, colour shifted the hue to one that fits the energy I wanted to capture, and used it to create a high saturation colour pallet. This is a great starting point since I’ve never worked with this kind of colour palette before - it gives me a starting point rather than drowning in indecision and cluelessness XD

Once I’d finished, I hue-shifted them for some alt colours. I find this a helpful process for figuring out colour stuff that I would never consider normally. I think I like these more, actually. The one with the reddish wood and green accents feels like it has the vibes of the original image, but is exaggerated a bit. I think it pops. And the pink is cool. I think I could have pushed the values further again, but I'm pretty happy with the final images.

So those are my colour thoughts over for now - I’m hoping to keep playing but use of colour is for sure a lifelong skill. 

The past few weeks have been so awesome. I’ve just been so so moulded by conversations with my artistic community and it’s been so lovely!!! I’m really enjoying running around the country and visiting all my pals. It was so nice to see you at PCZF and I’m looking forward to more of it!!! :D

i'm still super excited so im gonna gush some more (abt the fic) but i do wanna say i freakin love how big the artist chose to make Teto's wings; i thought my own drawing was big but this artist made them BIGGER and I LOVE THAT because she's sooo creature-coded and i super love that about her, just, isnt it so cool when we have three characters (Triple Baka) but one of them can just sprout (hugeass) wings at any time, Teto, ur so so special <3

Also i love the clear circuitry on Miku's face/the side of her neck.... super obviously an android...... I welcome it immensely, I didnt think of that but I absolutely accept it. She's actually been in that place for a non-small amount of time so it'd make sense if she got slightly damaged from the elements!! Idk if I'll change my existing drawing since I'm treating it as alternate interpretations which i love, but I wanted to say I love it <3

talking about my own fic, one of my favorite moments is towards the end where Miku is like completely ready to ditch her bc eksgskfsks ofc Teto's like, "??!???!" and if i drew it, you'd start seeing her expression slowly change into mild irritation/sheer disbelief bc I think it's kinda understandable why Teto would be the type to get attached easily (in this setting) but all Miku remembers is Teto agreed to help her for a little bit so ofc Miku's like, "Yay you've done what you said you would! thank you so very much! I will now be taking my leave"

The reason I like this moment (among others) is bc I think it really highlights their differences in personality and approaching things xD Ofc I love interpretation so I wont cross out alternate interpretations at all but if you're curious about mine,

I'm a fan of tsundere (always have been) but this Teto in particular (UTAU Teto) has had like zero contact with others for quite a while..... She might even be a shut-in because I did briefly explore her perspective in my mind and she actually tries to avoid others/going out if she can help it. That's bc going out into the world depresses her!!! lol!

She doesnt immediately trust others, maybe she's seen how savage/disloyal other creatures are and thinks there cant be anything good from associating with them or getting along with them, so she's most comfortable alone. When she first encounters Miku, you might be able to make this connection, but the main reason she approached (besides needing food) was she was like, "who is THAT??" and thought it might actually be a human (all of whom were supposed to have died out a long time ago). Teto has mixed feelings towards humans, maybe a mix of positive and negative, so unlike other creatures, if she saw a human, of course she'd get curious. Obviously humans make her favorite French bread too so she owes them for that xD

ANYWAY Teto lore dump aside, she doesnt know how to socialize/be very friendly and is pretty blunt/sharp-tongued/sassy. The main thing about her is she's kinda dishonest now and cant really speak her feelings cuz it feels like revealing weakness, so if she's ever expressing something about herself, she's most likely to couch it in like rational or practical terms. never "i want/feel like this so please listen to me" but more "this will benefit us both so I'd go with that if I were you". It's something I find very cute about her!!!

Miku is the straightforward type who doesnt understand connotations or anything yet so she's really easily the type to say or do socially unconventional things and have Teto react like "???" (one of my favorite reactions in manga/etc is confusion lmao, it's just so raw)

Anyway Teto would never bully Miku or anything, she's just sassy and sharp like I mentioned, but Miku is also the type to have those things completely fly over her head, so even if Teto tried to rile Miku up in return, she'd probably totally fail at it and it'd backfire xD (making her embarrassed instead from even trying/thinking it'd work)

This is just random gushing about different personalities coming together and interacting with each other but honestly this is prompted by the fanart too cuz i LOVE those expressions

i'm so happy people like the fic LOL, i posted it expecting like only one kudos at the very least I hoped so I'm really happy! having more eyes on it makes me kinda nervous but I'm glad if the reception is positive ^_^ (it's not like I'd crumble if i got negativity but I really would prefer not to see it considering how much I like Negidrill!! so!!! xD)

Yes they both are your only smuts and not so explict at that and being non explicit is again wholesome for me and hence more delusion inducing. - she sleeps in a full size bed that’s a memory foam mattress, she can get pretty sore from all the fighting she does while big so having something soft and squishy is really nice when she gets home and can regress. She really leans into her feminine side when she’s regressed, often feeling that it gets overlooked in turn of people focusing on how she’s a kitsune instead, so a lot of her bedding/room is “girly girl” pink. including a canopy that Scott got her after finding out about her regression, she adores it and will invite Scott over so they can sit under it & watch shows or read books. her bed frame isn’t bulky or anything special really, just something she picked up from ikea but she likes keeping it tucked against a wall so she has less of a chance of rolling off (she moves a lot in her sleep)

2. How many pillows do they sleep with? What’s the color of their pillows?

- so so many pillows and stuffies on her bed at all times!! sometimes she wakes up with half of them kicked off her bed just out of the sheer amount of them. her two main pillows have strawberry pillow cases but her actual bed has a pink silk fitted sheet. her favorite throw pillows are a fluffy pink heart that she tucks under chest when she lays on her stomach to watch movies & a cherry blossom pillow, that Lydia got her, she uses to prop her phone up

3. How many blankets do they sleep with? What colors are they?

- she keeps her comforter folded at the end of her bed and opts to sleep on top of her sheets, and she uses at least three different fleece throw blankets every night! the hall closet closest to her room is filled with a bunch of throw blankets, seasonal or just random ones she’s acquired over the years. the ones below are just some of her favorites

4. Where do they keep their clothes? How are their clothes organized?

- her clothes are stored in cloth organizers she keeps in a wooden shelf made for them! she used to have a dresser but the organizer is easier for her to navigate and doesn’t take up as much space as her old dresser

5. What kind of light sources do they have? How many do they have? Why?

- there are so many lights in her room she sometimes finds it hard to keep track of them all. there’s her main light that’s attached to her ceiling fan, the lamp she keeps on her nightstand, led lights that are lined around her whole room, fairy lights she trails along the canopy Scott got her, at least two of those light projectors that display different colored patterns on her walls/ceiling, and she has two nightlights that are used almost every night. the nightlights are those squeezable ones as they’re battery charged and she won’t need to get up from bed to get to an outlet if she ever wanted to turn them off

6. What colors are their bedroom walls?

- they’re white, it’s versatile and will fit any aesthetic she could want to decorate with

7. What does their bedroom look like? What kind of furniture do they have in there? How big is it?

- it’s a decent size bedroom, not too small for Kira to feel like she’s running out of space but not big enough for her to not know what to do with it. as I said, her bed stays against a wall, her nightstand next to it and then her organizer of clothes at the end of her bed so she has maximum space on her floor. she also has a small white vanity that’s on the other wall of her room

8. What kind of floor does their bedroom have? What color?

- she has a wood floor since things get a little too messy for a carpet. It’s not too dark of a wood but not super bright, she likes it

9. Do they have any toys? Do they sleep with any of them?

- she has a plushie army! there’s a million of them and they all have names. she also has a pretty big collection of littlest pet shop & dolls, barbie and monster high are her favorite!

10. Do they have any rugs? If so, what color are they?

- she has a small circle shag rug that’s pink and matches some of the decorative pillows on her bed!

11. Are there any decorative elements to their bedroom? What are they? Why?

- she has a shelf where she keeps her tea & tea pot and while that’s not purely for decoration, she really likes how it looks. there’s other miscellaneous things scattered around on her nightstand or vanity that’s decorative. a lot of it is to remember trips she’s taken, places she’s moved from, memories she shares with people from the pack, and some things her parents have gifted her over the years. there’s also a few plants she has, she’s really good at growing things and she likes to sketch them while she’s little

12. What are some of the things they do in their bedroom?

- loves loves loves to sing & dance around in her room! She also likes to practice with her lacrosse stick if she’s feeling big enough, she knows better than to touch her sword while small. she loves to watch movies too, she’s even gotten a projector she’s able to set up on her nightstand and point towards the wall where her vanity is to watch!

13. Do they share their bedroom with anyone. If so, who?

- nope! she has no siblings so nobody to share a room with, but occasionally malia or lydia will stay over!

Uh tdlr I love your writing and was wondering if you had any other fandoms you enjoyed?

I was into Star Wars: The Old Republic for a little while. Oddly enough my fic-writing phase came AFTER my game-playing phase. I really liked a lot of the companions and characters, and I remember kind of WANTING to write fanfic about it while playing it but I just wasn't part of that world yet. I eventually just kind of lost steam with it once I reached later game content. Still a fun game and definitely worth checking out since so much of it is free ;) if you have the time!

I definitely enjoy a lot of fandoms, though not anything I'm super compelled to write fics about xD Just for a quick list I love One Piece, the Office (basic I know), Cyberpunk, Pokemon, AEW, Marvel, Fallout, VtM, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Naruto, DBZ, and LotR. That's without going into super, super niche stuff obviously. And yeah, none of them really get that fanfic itch going quite like BG3 has. Stuff like One Piece is just a bit too goofy, stuff like Fallout doesn't really have the romance I like, and VtM has an intimidating amount of lore to learn. Then there's stuff like Marvel, where I just don't really have any relationship I'm terribly attached to xD

I guess if I were doing something there it'd involve Nebula, which probably isn't a surprise given my love of Lae'zel.

I HAVE shipped people a bit in AEW but I would also just feel sort of weird writing about essentially 'real' people, given the pseudoreality of pro wrestling. Obviously real person fics are a THING, but they're not for me.

Wellll more specifically I’ve been playing through with my brother :] I keep him company while playing and we try to guess what might happen next in the story togetherrr! ( so what twists might happen, who’s next to die, who might survive, etc )

I’m basically there to backseat game ahahah

We played Danganronpa v1 during spring/summer last year and decided to wait a little bit before playing the next one, we just started v2 a few weeks ago :D The both of us thoroughly enjoyed playing the first game and we’ve also been enjoying the second!

Out of the two I think my heart is still with the first game, though obviously that might change the further we get into v2

I’m obsessed with the setting and characters and general story the first game has going on- it’s such a unique vibe and it’s doubly unique when it’s your first time around ( I feel as though I’m jaded to all the horrors in the second game XD )

All the trials in both games are super entertaining and a lot of the character arcs are really interesting to see play out!

My number one favorite from both is Hina- she’s my girllll <3333 she just like me fr <3333 super silly character that can have some really depressing and human moments- she feels like how a actual person might react to this whole thing ( or maybe that’s just because I think I’m the most like her ahahah )

From the first game I also really like Makoto and Chihiro!— Yet again I find them both very relatable and compelling lol ( though I will say I’m pretty partial to most the characters, especially the survivors )

From the second game it’s really hard to say- if I’m being honest I only think I truly realized who my favs were in v1 like a month after completion XD I suppose it just took a minute for my thoughts to settle lmao

Where I’m currently at in v2 is right before the 3rd trial ( which I’m curios to see how it will play outttt ), and so far I think my favs are Fuyuhiko and Mikan! :3 I liked them at first sight but I’m starting to get a bit more attached with all the screen time they’ve been getting :D

Though I will say that so far I haven’t reallllyyy found any character particularly relatable which is usually how I decide my favs- but again we’ll see how things change the more the story progressessss ( though there’s nothing wrong with that fact, just a observationnn )

I do find myself missing Kyoko and Makoto from the first game, I really like their dynamic and how they’re both kinda equally MCs. I do like Hajime, but for being a big MC enjoyer myself I don’t really have any special opinion on him- I think it’s funny how he’s quite the hater but it feels as though his lore has been sidelined? And while the fan service is funny I feel it only serves to help write him off in my mind lol— I’m hoping as the game progresses I’ll get to learn more about him :] ( I think it’s just because I adore Makoto so much it’s hard for me to get used to another mc ahahah )

Overall opinion is the games are super fun!! Addicting even, I love the visuals and music a lot- the weird 3d 2d art is super pretty! The story is incredibly funny and super depressing- I adore it

I feel as though playing the game with someone else and cracking jokes about it and getting sidetracked on stupid unrelated tangents is the best way to play it :3 It’s fun looking back at a random moment in the story and remembering exactly whatever nonsense conversation was happening at that moment XD

TL;DR: I’ve been watching my idiot brother struggle at the game and it’s awesome, first game is my favorite and we are currently wandering through the second, 100% planning on playing the third sometime in the future !

The RS Stage Play sure was an experience...

My copy of RS2R is being delayed though I still have hopes it arrives today... or I will give up and grab the PC digital download instead :D;;;

But that gave me time to finally sit down and watch the RS Stage Play and it sure was... an experience xD; And I'm pretty sure I didn't get a lot of context due to, well, not speaking Japanese and having no subtitles. Much rambles beyond the cut (positive ones, I greatly enjoyed the play!) but also maybe spoilers(?)

The first half felt extremely rushed and packed with fights, which were amazing to watch but if you haven't played RS it is like a lot happens for very little time and you have zero time to get attached to the characters or appreciate the emotional moments. RS has one really strong moment where Polka fights Barthelemy and the stage play was like - we're gonna milk this so much! xD; On one hand... Barthelemy's actor was amazing and so was Polka. I think Polka was the best! The actor was just giving his all there! But also seeing the same scenario 3 times was a bit of an overkill. Barthelemy having a proper dad moment with Polka and Liz (especially) near the end gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings and that was probably my fave part of the whole play. ;u; It always bothered me that Barthelemy technically dies when Liz was still a baby and she never had proper moment with her father unlike Polka who remembered Barthelemy prior to the uh... Clownification.

Seeing Gerard scooting away with Cat early in the play just made me and my friend both nod in agreement at our headcanon ship being a thing now :'D;;; I'm just super pleasantly surprised that was sneaked in! Seeing Leon, Victor, Gerard meet with the Final Empress and fight with Noel and Co was really visually cool! All the fights were just such a delight to watch. I didn't get nearly enough screenshots cause most of the time I was mesmerized by the mess of songs, dancing, screams and fighting xD;;

Igomahl was amazing and I had a blast watching the actor (who apparently plays Subier too!) handle the character cause Igo is so very expressive! It was really interesting recognizing many in game music tracks (some had lyrics!!) and remembering all the fights and the Conquest event in RS... ...most of the time I really felt like that Leo DiCaprio meme pointing at the screen "I recognize that!" Also Igomahl tossing a baby (and spitting on!) wasn't something I expected to see but... well I did. lol

And finally we reached mid point the point where the mobile game story cuts off and we had a "Watch the stage to find out what happens next!" and why Jo's fate is tied to going to the Ancient times and the 7 Heroes. The story slowed down and became very dialogue heavy in comparison to the 1st half which I thought was great but... I couldn't understand anything XD;;

There was a lot of dialogue between the High Priest (who framed Wagnas) and some priest boy who was a servant? It felt important but I couldn't figure it out. He did seem mad at Wagnas and this is purely assumption but I think it was cause Orieve drank the slow poison and thus he lost his daughter (I think the potion he was waving around was same thing Orieve drank) I could be super way off tho.

The Dread Queen had killer design tho! I loved her, loved all the termite queens really!! I didn't expect the Dread Queen to have an eurovision dance score but...that sure was a thing XD;

Kzinssie easily stole the show whenever the 7 Heroes were having a moment. I try not to be biased but combined with the actor clearly having a blast in his role and his exaggerated mannerism... he was just hilarious every time he was on the stage xD;

I didn't expect to see Kzinssie do a magic show or drive a scooter all to be noticed while the rest of the heroes were discussing something obviously serious, but that also feels like the sort of gremlin behavior he'd display.

I remember the actor being guest on a lot of the RS Live Streams and having stronger presence on twitter during the Stage announcement. I'm happy he had good time and I feel like that contributed to the character gaining more popularity within the player base :D;

And speaking of... he continued to the trend of absorbing strange things (I assume?) You've seen antennae Kzinssie, now get ready for Cabbage Kzinssie!

Roc ripped the cabbage shortly after and KO'd him after he tried to comfort her. Rip. They did all have a little fun and shenanigans going with the glimmer hat once more! That was nice!

I didn't get why Wagnas had a meltdown moment though, I think he didn't glimmer anything? Wagnas is always so very serious and intense so seeing him a bit comical and break character was nice!

Having the 7 Heroes return home and seeing the priest still around (as a king?) made me think some kinda justice will be delivered? Or have a confrontation ? I wondered how would that tie to the mega boss in the RS game (pink umbrella man) but... it didn't. The 7 heroes did get confronted by some super powerful Hero Killer(?) but his design had nothing to do with the boss in the game, but I assume he was the same character (?).

It was nice that it was Wagnas who ended the Hero Killer (with Noel's sword!!) but also it was a little disappointing we didn't get 7 Heroes group hug reunion or something. After the Hero Killer used Abyss Gate on Roc (did he kill her!??) and dispatched everyone but Noel and Wagnas with Wagnas being the last hero to stand I thought ...we'll get some reunion at least? xD;

I don't know what they talked at the very end. Maybe had some kinda revelation about "maybe revenge bad" or "we really did lose our way didnt we?" I have no idea... but it felt important :D;;

Polka and co saved Jo and returned home. The Seven Heroes stayed in their original home (I assume?) but I couldn't figure out what timeline was that. Was this the other dimension the ancients fled off to?

All around it was fun experience and I'm so very thankful that a friend helped me see this fabled Stage Play! I feel like RS has a very convoluted writing already and condensing it in an hour and half was kinda bad idea. I assume people who are playing/or played the mobile game were the target audience cause anyone new to it would be so very lost. I enjoyed the second hour and half a lot more but probably because the cast was reduced and it was the story that was cut from the mobile version.... and we got a lot more talking and I kinda wish that was more expanded instead of having the first half be a rush to get to that point.

It was nice seeing the closure for the Polka family. Jo was saved and she was so very adorable, I wish we saw more of her. Bertrand was hilarious with his emo/intense antics. It was nice seeing the 7 heroes again .. I hope one day someone will get subtitles so I get what was going on on some scenes :D;;

What was the first crime they commited in your heart to make them as such (what elevated them to blorbo status)?

This is a funny one cause I don't really tend to get blorbos from media. There is a lot of facinating characters and ideologies that intrigue me and make me wonder how they work. But never to a point of truly being blorbo like others do? I like playing with them and chewing on them like a toy, but never really... get attached? In a profound way.

Which I fully believe is a me issue and maybe a bit of depression talking XD

I liked Spinel and Lapis a lot from Steven Universe! Spinel for the happy go lucky turned to bitter antagonist, which is always such fascinating development. Lapis because of how angry and resentful she can be but still having such a soft spot and yearnings.

Currently finished "In Stars and Time" (a game) and still figuring out who I like most. Though I might go with Loop, who is a "Star". Sazy nonbinary but has seen some shit. There is a lot of points in the game where you can get them to open up or be nicer and man, does it give such depth.

Oh! Darius from The Owl House! Just his attitude and the plus of him helping out while being in enemy lines? Amazing. (Tixckgckg- I'm noticing a thread of me enjoying characters who can/are mean/sassy but have soft spots and do genuinely care a lot)

*Points at Dreamscape* I have so many blorbos there you won't believe. (Took me like three tries to write a not super long thing for all of tgem XD)

Main one is my little guy Stin. Who is suchhhh a layered and complex character I like to think.

They technically had "three lives". Though im counting the last two seperate when really it's the same life. Plays with time loops and isolation/alienation and what does mentally. Which is doile fun cause when i first made them I knew they were dead! And I juat attached and further developed them into this layered mess of a person.

That's Stin. And I love them so much. Such a little shit that wants to be the cryptic helper who knows too much.

And then there is Naseem who just is- mwah- chef's kiss.

He is such an explosive person. Both keeping a tight hold of his emotions but also exploding with them when they reach a peak. Likes being a little shit and likes having control over things. But hates being confined and restricted. Very free spirited.

I love that he bites back and gets angry. But also desperately tries not to a lot and wants to be perceived as this cool guy who just has a tad bit of teeth to his bark. It's so fun!

I got more, and some of my other co-writers for Dreamscape characters. But I'll leave it at that!

For Toonkind, currently, it's Lluvia who only has been in one game. But I'm planning stuff with her for Sandy lore game and I'm so excited to run that once I'm done writing game notes!!!

She is just a fun design and really is a sweet kid who is tied up in stuff that she can't get out of. And doesn't even know if she wants out of the situation.
