Heero Yuy: Does Not And Has Never Known What Is Going On

I need everyone here to understand one extremely important thing: Heero Yuy does not think.

Heero Yuy reacts. He reacts instantly to stimuli because he is not thinking. This leads a lot of people to believe he’s some kind of savant, but in fact he is purposefully, intentionally, not having thoughts. He does not calculate his actions based on any consequences beyond the necessary outcome. Sometimes, this gets him into trouble. But mostly, it keeps him alive. 

And let’s be clear: it's not because he can't think ahead. Not thinking about things is his primary self-defense mechanism; this is a deeply traumatized child soldier, who lives in perpetual hyper-awareness of his own expendability. He is never thinking about tomorrow, because he might be dead before then. 

So why does he know how to do so many things? He really doesn’t. If it looks like he knows what he’s doing, it’s because he’s failing so nonchalantly that it looks like confidence. People are constantly doing the work for him by assuming he’s ultra-competent at everything he does. Heero is a cipher that everyone projects their ideas and feelings onto.

He was trained at a young age to assimilate himself into new environments through observation and imitation– which he’s very good at, so he doesn’t HAVE to know things. If he needs to learn something new, he can pick it up fast on the fly, or just make whatever it is work by brute force. 

If you see a nail and you don’t have a hammer: get creative.

Okay, but how come he always seems to know exactly what’s going on? He has a smart guy in his ear telling him what to do. Later, he has an insidious AI program in his ear telling him what to do. And the rest of the time he is literally winging it (pun intended) and hoping things will turn out okay if he just keeps at it long enough. 

Really, Heero doesn’t need to know what’s going on, and he only needs to be good at ONE thing, which is his solution to everything: keep going.  

When he doesn’t have a clear mission objective, he is following his motto: “do what your heart tells you” / “act on your emotions”-- which is way, way less whimsical and than it sounds (see this entry in the Dictionary section). It’s an extension of the Unthinking: You encounter a problem, you find a solution. Does this feel right? If yes, proceed. If no, then don’t. Was it the wrong solution? Well, that’s a new problem.

If you’re Heero’s problem, you have a very limited window of opportunity to change his mind about it. If you’re Relena, you get another chance. If you’re Marshal Noventa, you don’t. If you’re a fellow Gundam pilot, you might be able to hold him off long enough for the problem to become a different problem. 

Heero was built from the ground up several times by the people who found him and turned him into what he is: a weapon that you aim and fire. That’s how he thinks of himself, as a machine with a single purpose that you input instructions into, and when he stops working at peak performance, he’ll die and be replaced. 

But the people who were there for his “training” know that there was a human boy underneath that they buried to make their perfect soldier. Sometimes, you can still see him through the cracks.

There are only a few times in canon when we see Heero laugh or smile; I found it a very interesting case study to track when and where he does so. In chronological order, the first time is in a flashback from Endless Waltz; it’s a very memorable scene, because it’s the most innocent and carefree we ever see him, but the thing he was doing directly before flopping onto the grass and laughing wholesomely was planting explosives in a military base. The outcome of this scene is a defining tragedy of his life, which we know was the cause of his needing to be “retrained”.

The other few times he laughs are sometime after this incident, when he first arrives on Earth.

In episode one, we get to see him smile and laugh. The smile is one of simple relief, because he’s completed his objective– but what he actually considers that objective to be is a bit complicated. The simplest answer is that he’s successfully made it from the Colonies to Earth, so he can start his mission as a resistance fighter, but the more relevant answer is that arriving on Earth has the potential to be his FINAL mission as the person who stole the Gundam in order to interrupt Operation Meteor. The smile is either because he’s made it past the first difficult step of his journey, or because this is where his journey can finally end. 

In this same episode, he laughs after making his first kill; hapless OZ pilots who had no idea what they were up against. Later on, he laughs because he completes a mission after repairing his Wing Gundam with the cannibalized parts of Duo’s Gundam, Deathscythe. Another time, he smiles with an aloof assurance that he does not need to participate in the frivolities of civilian life, as if he’s confirming to himself that he is not like the people he is infiltrating. He’s a robot, disguised as one of them. He doesn’t need to worry about understanding them, or sympathizing with them, or trying to form emotional connections that he isn’t capable of making. He smiles when he cuts down what he thinks is an OZ carrier leaving New Edwards Base.

These are all times when Heero feels like he’s gotten away with something; when he’s pulled off something sneaky and gotten away scot free. It’s a cathartic release of excitement that's a touch mischievous; the surviving traces of his adolescence bubbling up and escaping containment.

Heero doesn’t laugh again after his first failed mission at New Edwards. Even when he cracks a joke, even when he's relaxed, his face remains frozen. There's only one more time when he smiles: when he’s sure he’s on his last mission, the one he won’t come back from, and he knows he has someone he wants to protect. 

It is such a simple, kind, naive thing that lets Heero unlock the capacity to feel; he’s never had someone be on his side before. Just… decide that they care about him, for no reason in particular– indeed, after he’d given them ample reason NOT to. It’s not perfect, not a clean process, not all at once. He gets feelings back one at a time, in broken pieces that are sharp and don’t make sense at first. A girl who he thought he would have to kill decided that she would trust him absolutely and have his back no matter what, and that made everything uncertain. 

It’s more complicated to live with danger when there’s something to live for, when someone insists that you’re worth saving. It means you have to think about the future sometimes, and that means dealing with consequences, and disappointment, and worry, and pain. It means having to develop a sense of compassion, without which it would be so easy to just turn off, and listen to the comforting absolutes of a machine that tells you how to win and who to kill. 

Having something, someone, to lose is frightening– but it gives you a fixed point in the sky to follow, so when you’re facing down ultimatums, and sacrifices, and uncertainty, “winning” becomes less important than keeping who you care about safe.

It makes your heart a much better compass to follow.

After thinking more deeply about it, people shouldn’t get mad when seeing the majority shipping AyaYui because they are the most perfect for each other…not always in the good way. They are both obsessive weirdos that are unable to communicate properly and end up doing so much dumb shit that not only hurts them but also the ones around them.

Now I’m not saying they are the most problematic characters in the game, but they just are such menaces for whoever is connected to them. They be wondering why Yui wouldn’t make such a good couple with Subaru and Azusa but the reason is that they’re exactly too soft for her. They just want a kind and motherly girl but Yui keeps putting them in uncomfortable situations, doesn’t respect their boundaries and is unable to comprehend their introversion. Ik she was in a dangerous situation at first but that’s over after the second game, isn’t it? They started dating so if that’s what she truly wanted, she has to take responsibility for that and bring her brain to work.

Now about Mr. Yours Truly, he wasn’t irredeemably bad in the first game but he was such an asshole, let’s be frank. After the first game, Yui started treating him poorly or, again , not paying attention to whatever he was going through but I just couldn’t feel bad for him. They both fucked eachother up so bad but in an equal way so I can’t say any of them is better than the other, like some of their individual fans do. I’m not saying this about the Admin but some Yui and Ayato stans must actually hate the characters and only love their fanon version of them. Just because they forgive their abusers and are friendly doesn’t make them the kindest character anyone has ever seen. They did too many bad things to be considered the kindest and I’m not gonna follow the “they went insane” excuse because I really don’t care. All characters are insane and broken but not all of them did as much shit as they did.

I’m not justifying anything from that dick but e.g. when Karlheinz commits a genocide to make ghouls, he is said to have abused his powers and is evil but when Yui commits a genocide because her cute Ayato-kun 〜 died and kills all living things on both worlds, that’s seen as romantic? Like that’s extremely evil and selfish of her too. Or when others complain about the vampires being possessive and jealous, when Yui is the same person that stabbed Shu and threw him in the dungeon afterwards out of jealousy and she also paralysed Ayato then used him as her pleasure slave only because he drank blood from other chicks. Again, I’m not excusing them but she’s just as worse when triggered enough. All the fanwars are stupid when the game only has characters that wouldn’t be perceived as mentally sane or innocent angels in real life.

The thing is Yui, Ayato, Azusa, Subaru and Yuma are characters described by Rejet as either pure or kind-hearted, yet this doesn’t mean they necessarily have to be saints sent from above 24/7. Good people can react horribly under stress, pressure or shock. Yes, they can do wrong stuff and treat others badly as a result, but this doesn’t mean they have a bad soul. Trauma is not the same from person to person and everyone reacts to it differently. It can turn good people into monsters depending on the severity of the circumstances and some might never come back to their original nature. And, even if they do, this will not excuse their actions, but as long as they try to change for the better and take accountability, I believe they deserve a second chance.

Rejet makes Yui go mad in some endings and After stories to demonstrate that she is capable of doing something as awful as the Diaboys if an event hits her hard enough, just like it did to them. And, to be honest, that's realistic. Of course, not the story, but the fact that every person, no matter how strong, has a breaking point.

Speaking of the genocide committed by Yui, the reason why it’s considered romantic is not the deed itself, but the fact Yui created an Ayato ghoul after exterminating everything, only because she wanted to be killed by the man she loved. I think this was the only time Yui seriously used her brain, and the fact she was crazy when doing that, makes it hilarious.

As for the Yandere endings, Yui does that to Shu in MB, if I recall correctly but it was so unexpected because she really didn’t get any vibes throughout the route, therefore I guess it was just random writing. In Ayato’s route, the obsessive tendencies were obvious when she started looking through Ayato’s swimsuit magazines and tried measuring her boobs to the ones of those girls. I was pretty sure she would pull a possessive move on him later on, lol.

Truth be told, I don't mind that in fictional couples as long as they're both obsessed with each other and it's not one-sided. Besides, it’s funny how even Ruki called Yui “Ayato obsessed” in CL.

As a DL fan, I understand that no character is a total green flag because they all display toxic behavior in regular circumstances, no matter if intentional or not. Nonetheless, that shouldn’t stop us from loving them. Some people prefer the softer aspects of DL, while others prefer the darker, but keep in mind that those who prefer talking well about their favs don't want to be always reminded of all the bad things they did, especially if those characters regret them or weren't in the best mental state at the time.

Monologue

Subaru-kun and I headed for the living room,

where everyone else had already gathered as well.

I thought that Carla-san,

wanted to talk to me alone,

but perhaps that is not the case after all.

While Carla-san looked somewhat surprised,

when he saw Subaru-kun,

he did not seem to particularly mind his attendance, as he began to speak.

Carla: ーー It should be obvious what I want to talk about.

Quite some time has passed since we welcomed Eve into our manor, but I have yet to experience any developments towards becoming the Supreme Overlord.

Eve does not seem to show any changes either.

I am fairly positive that the path towards becoming Supreme Overlord will open to us once she has fully ‘ripened’ as Eve, but her blood still smells as foul as ever.

I do not notice anything different about her either.

Yui: ( I’m pretty sure I smell bad to him because Subaru-kun sucked my blood. )

( That’s why a Founder such as Carla-san perceives it as ‘foul-smelling’. Seems like he has forgotten all about that though. )

( He can wait for me to ‘ripen’ all he wants, my blood will never be delicious to him. )

Carla: At present, we have not been able to obtain any new information on the Supreme Overlord or Eve, while the situation remains stagnant as well.

However, I can only assume that the other Houses will continue their assault. In which case, we must make a move forward as well.

That is why I have decided that I will keep Eve by my side in hopes of triggering some kind of evolution.

Subaru: Wha...!?

Yui: Eh!?

Carla: Do you understand, Eve? From today onwards, you shall start living in my room.

Subaru: Oi! Why are you decidin’ this without our approval!?

Laito: So that means you’ll keep her all to yourself?

Kou: Carla-kun, you’re so lucky~

Azusa: If Carla wants to become the Supreme Overlord, that might be the quickest way to do so...

Carla: Yes, exactly.

While I am taking a chance by betting on a method which has zero evidence backing it up, as long as we do not have any clues, I believe I have no other choice but to test out all possibilities.

It is my destiny to rise to the top and govern over the Vampire race, and to do so I will do anything at my disposal to become the Supreme Overlord.

Yui: ...Ugh.

( Anything as his disposal...I guess he’s so obsessed with the title because he’s a Founder? )

( Even if he doesn’t remember, he might still be the same person deep down, just like Subaru-kun was. )

Carla: Subaru, do you understand? From this moment onwards, your supervising duty has been officially revoked.

Subaru: Cut the crap...So in other words, I gotta hand her over to you?

Carla: What do you mean? Eve was never yours to begin with.

*Rustle*

Subaru: Not in a million years. I’m not lettin’ you have her.

Carla: I beg your pardon? Could it be that you are after the title of Supreme Overlord yourself?

Subaru: Supreme Overlord? I don’t give a damn ‘bout that shit!

I mean, you’re over here obsessin’ over that stupid title like a fool but do you even know what the title holds?

Carla: ...Excuse me?

Subaru: As soon as you realized her blood tasted bad to you, you should have started by askin’ yourself the question whether you’re even Vampire at all.

Yui: ...!

Subaru: Once again, I really think you should be a lil’ more doubtful of your own memories and this fucked up World!

Carla: ...

Subaru: ...Laito, Kou, Azusa. Her blood smells sweet to the three of you as well, doesn’t it?

Laito: Guess so.

Kou: Yeah, it makes me thirsty.

Azusa: Yeah, me too...

Subaru: Did you hear that, Carla? Seems like you’re the one who thinks her blood is disgustin’.

Carla: ...And?

Subaru: That’s because you’re not a Vampire like we are! You’re a Founder!

Laito: Ah, could it be that Subaru-kun has fallen in love with Eve~?

Carla: In other words, you have been blinded by Eve? Are you trying to confuse us?

Subaru: ...Che. It’s no use. It doesn’t seem like he’s willin’ to listen to what we have to say.

Yui: Yeah...I don’t think any of them sense anything strange about their own memories right now.

Subaru: Fuck!

Carla: Either way, I understand very well that you do not intend to let me have Eve.

After clashing swords with Carla-san,

Subaru-kun managed to fend him off for just one moment.

Using that opportunity, we grabbed hold of each other’s hands.

And dashed off just like that.

Yui: Now that you mention it, while the two of you were fighting, all they did was watch from the side.

Subaru: Since he didn’t order them to attack me, Carla might have been somewhat in panic as well.

I can never tell what that guy’s thinkin’ though.

Even without his original memories, he’s still got a big-ass ego, and he’s got his sights set on becomin’ the Supreme Overlord. 

Yui: Carla-san is a Founder, so in an actual fight, he’d be a force to be reckoned with.

Subaru: Yeah. With his memories gone, he didn’t seem to try to use his Founder powers.

Yui: Those are linked together?

Subaru: Beats me. I think it’s just that you need to have an awareness as a Founder, or else you won’t think of tryin’ to use them, right?

But we’re up against four people. Founder or not, if I try to face them head-on, I’d stand no chance.

Yui: ...I’m sorry.

Subaru: Hah? Why are you apologizin’ out of the blue?

Yui: I mean, if you hadn’t protected me, you wouldn’t have gotten hurt so you would have had an easier time facing them...

Subaru: Idiot. If I hadn’t taken that bomb for you, my memories wouldn’t have returned, right?

So don’t apologize. How am I supposed to react when the whole reason I ran away was to keep you safe? 

Yui: ...Yeah, guess you’re right. Then let me thank you instead. Thanks.

Subaru: Yeah. Don’t ever put the blame on yourself again, ‘kay?

Yui: ( Fufu. He really is so kind. )

Hey, I wonder how big this cave is?

Subaru: Good question. It honestly might be safer to try and find shelter at one of the other Houses rather than running far away.

Yui: But the other Houses are also out to get Eve...They���re after me, right?

Subaru: The Orange House...won’t work. We only just faced them after all. I’m pretty sure Ayato is still enraged about it.

We could try to head back, puttin’ all our hope on Laito rememberin’ everythin’ but the chances of that are pretty slim.

Yui: Then...

Subaru: Reiji always knows how to keep his head cool, so we might just have a shot at the Scarlet House.

Shuu’s over there as well. If we play our cards right, they might just shelter us.

...Well, they might not take my words seriously.

Yui: That’s not true, Subaru-kun. You’re actual brothers after all.

Subaru: You say that, but our family has always been different from the Mukami’s or the Founders.

Yui: ...Even so, I’m sure that you’ll connect somehow. Don’t worry. Let’s have faith in the power of family! (1)

Hearts don't break that easily.

It was a phrase Yui has repeated in her head multiple times, reminding her of her dream to live a normal life. After all, she was more than just a vessel for children. She is a woman, a wife, and she's capable of many things beyond that. However, there are times when her devotion has been tested and she will find herself questioning her next move.

And today was no exception.

Earlier, her father inquired about her marriage life with Gabimaru, which made her wary at some point. As she went on and on about living their life and doing her duties as his wife, Osa asked her about the topic she seemingly wanted to avoid.

Children.

Now, don't get her wrong. Yui is aware that one way or another, she will bear a child from Gabimaru, and this child (as much as she wanted a different future for them) will either go next in line to their father or become like her one day.

And to make matters worse, he pressured Yui to bear a child as soon as possible, making her clutch her stomach, imagining a life force in it.

Gabimaru will not agree.

Of course, it was a given. Her husband, as much of a killer he is, will never impregnate her. It wasn't like they never did the act. They did it on the first night, and it wasn't something they liked. It was more of a command and if they were to turn back time, maybe they could have done things differently.

Yui instantly blushed at the thought, stopping momentarily from chopping the vegetables for their stew. Just imagining Gabimaru and her kissing senseless as their fingers drag on each other's skin is enough to make her lose focus.

"I'm home," a masculine voice greeted from behind her.

Yui almost jumped at that, composing herself before turning around to greet her husband. And thankfully, he wasn't stained with any blood. She might not be scared but it still rises some emotions she didn't know she had.

"You're back early today, dear."

Gabimaru blinked at that. "... I told you I don't have any late missions today."

"A-Ah! Must've slipped my mind."

And then she went back to cooking.

That was a close call.

But Gabimaru wasn't an idiot. He may have not spent a lifetime with Yui, but he knows if there's something bugging her. Like for instance, every time they eat, she would describe the taste of the food and hold up signs on whether they are sweet, salty, savory, or unpleasant in general.

But not today, though. All Yui has done is nibble on her meal, brows furrowed in deep thought as she continued to sigh in between bites. And it was odd, considering how Yui is a calm and collected person, someone who can solve any problem despite the struggle.

Gabimaru put down his bowl and chopsticks. "Did something happen while I was gone?" he asked, staring at her warily to see any faint of suspicion.

Yui shook her head furiously, red staining her cheeks as she waved off her worries. "N-Nothing happened, dear." Oh, no. He'll find out. "L-Let's just eat, okay?"

But Gabimaru won't be having any of her pathetic excuses, scooting closer until he is almost face to face with her.

"Did someone come here to threaten your life?" he asked, aura murderous as he glares at the mere idea of some random stranger trying to harm his precious Yui.

I will kill them all if they touch even a single strand of her hair.

Yui was touched by his hidden gesture, but was also flustered at the idea of him killing. "N-No! No one did!" she assured him. "I just... had a talk with Father. That's all."

"Why?"

Yui was hesitant. Her father's proposal was supreme, nonetheless. After all, as long as they're under his reign, there won't be a chance for their freedom. Worse, they'll end up like Gabimaru's parents who clung to their sentiments and wishes of a normal life.

"Father..." she wasn't ready for this conversation, "he inquired about... children."

Gabimaru was only calm, his eyes narrowing in frustration. He knew Osa had been keen on wanting the couple to have kids that will someday become shinobi. Of course, his and Yui's decision about the matter will never waver.

Unless he made a threat.

"Did he say something else?"

Yui shook her head, setting aside her own thoughts about the matter. "I handled it properly, so there's no need for you to worry."

And so Yui ate again, making a facade so her husband wouldn't think about it too much. However, Gabimaru only stared at her. Hard. Like he was analyzing every moment.

"... E-Er... dear?" She was uncomfortable under his gaze. "Aren't you going to eat?"

He shrugged, sighing, "I don't know. It's like there's something you want to tell me."

Yui flinched in surprise, failing to hide her blush, making Gabimaru's eyes widen at that.

"A-Am I that easy to read?"

"Dunno."

She was fidgeting, trying to think of things to stall him or bury the subject under the covers. However, there's a part of her that secretly wanted this topic out in the open and get done.

"I... I was thinking that... maybe we should try?"

"Hm?" Now his interest was piqued. "Try what?"

"Y-You know..." She didn't want to say it, so she was hoping he would get the hint. "The thing we did on the first night."

It took Gabimaru a few seconds before realizing what she meant, eyes widening and his cheeks blushing as he imagined Yui and him skin to skin with arms wrapped around each other in heat. And because of his reaction, Yui blushed even further, stammering a few incoherent words as she feels the steam go up in her entire body.

"I-It's not like we'll do that r-right now!" she exclaimed, her heart unprepared for the matter. "I... I just wanted to try... but slowly. Slowly until we get there."

"O-Oh." That made him sigh in relief. "Okay."

It was a rough, heart-racing night as Gabimaru lies on his side of bed even though he can't sleep most of the time. Yui was still washing herself and judging by how long she was spending her time in the bath, he guessed she must've used some of her sister's luxury bathing products. And the mere thought of her smelling like flowers all night long was enough to pique his curiosity.

The doors have slid open, her footsteps gentle and yet with a bit of haste until she sat on her side of bed. "Umm... do you want me to move first?" she asked.

Gabimaru nodded, his back on her as he felt her fingers tracing patterns on his skin and ever so slowly, Yui slid her hand inside his kimono, feeling the bare skin on his chest, which was enough for his breath to hitch in pleasure. If it was a random kunoichi, they wouldn't get past his wrath. But not her. Yui was different.

And before she could go further, he sat up, facing her with an embarrassed yet determined look that says, "C-Can I try?"

Yui was startled at that, but nonetheless, she nodded and let him do what he wanted to do. To be honest, Gabimaru had no slightest idea on where to start or what the best route for this situation is. After all, he was a shinobi, not a normal man who's about to hold a woman in his arms under the moonlight.

He held her hand, inching closer until his forehead was leaning towards hers, eyes observing how she couldn't keep her gaze on him. And when he looked down on her lips, perfectly fine and yet slightly chapped, he swallowed nervously.

I want a taste.

And this was ironic, considering how he couldn't even distinguish something edible from something hideous. In one swift move, his lips touched hers, like feathers on skin. But it wasn't enough, so he did it again. And again. And again. Again and again and again and again and aga—

Yui pulled away, touching her lips to savor the moment. "D-Dear?"

"I'm sorry." He looked away in embarrassment. "I didn't know it was too much."

"E-Eh? But... it wasn't though."

He felt relieved at that. "R-Really?"

Yui nodded. "I... I liked it."

"... Okay."

There was an awkward silence, which Yui decided to break by tugging on his clothes and patting his side of the bed.

"It's already late. And I think we have done enough for the evening."

"... Oh." He didn't hide his disappointment at that, though. He thought Yui would still want to continue.

"Let's call it a day and see what we can do next time."

"Hey, have you seen my book?" a kunoichi asked, braiding her hair in a way that will accentuate her facial features.

The other kunoichi looked up from her mirror, almost done with her makeup. "Eh? What book?"

"Ya know, the one about pleasuring people and stuff."

"Nah, ain't seen that one."

From afar, Gabimaru sat on a tree branch as he held a book with a title "The Art of Attaining Pleasure and Reaching Heaven," skimming through each page to see what he could find for his wife. Seduction wasn't his forte, so might as well learn a thing or two from people who know it best.

And then he found an interesting section, something that he could use later.

Since you're one of the only people I've seen so far that includes Odessa in fanworks, how exactly do you interpret her character? Both personality and design wise.

So the one single drama cd she was in didn't give much but that doesn't stop me from making a meal out of crumbs haha.

The cd translation just says she "fell in love with" Laito, got abandoned, and took revenge by killing all of Richter's people. But since this was all told via gossip and hearsay from the dl guys, and knowing them (derogatory), I highly doubt how they've presented the events is accurate and probably shouldn't be taken at face value.🙃

Personally, I'm interpreting it as she was probably naive and didn't fully realize his intentions for approaching her, and was taken advantage of. Plus when it says she "couldn't return to her village after", I can imagine she experienced a lot of victim-blaming for what she went though and considering the (likely) time period it very much could have been a factor in her exile, which probably contributed to her anger.

Therefore, her character is definitely heavily based around her desire for revenge over this experience. Which I think is just so damn cool of her😭.

I have multiple aus with her, but the only one I've written anything for so far is the tgcf au, so I'll be referencing that for how I see her character after this point.

I see her being similar to the character He Xuan/Black Water in the original novels. As in she lives for pursuing revenge because she has been denied justice due to how the person who wronged her is in a position that makes them "untouchable". But underneath the anger is someone who holds a lot of pain and loneliness from how nobody would even recognize that she was wronged.

So for tgcf and other aus she appears in, I want to give her that chance at revenge. But also like with Black Water, I want to explore what comes after that and how it takes more than just the act of revenge for her to heal from her pain and find peace so she can move forward.

For her characterization, I've been writing her dialogue to be more blunt, maybe even bitter at times. But she might also tease in like a sarcastic (but not mean) way, if that makes sense? Hard to really describe but whatever gets the above background across.

Looks-wise, this is how I described her in tgcf au which I think captures her vibe:

Her features were incredibly beautiful. Possessing all the elegance and grace of a noble lady, enough to take one’s breath away. But there was something chilling about the look in her eyes. On the surface, they burned with hatred. But Yui could still see that buried deep within, was an immeasurable pain.

For physical traits, there's nothing in the drama cd besides "cute". but for some reason I picture her as dark-skinned with curly brown hair. I'm just now realizing it might be because I thought the girl from the Hayley Kiyoko "Sleepover" music video was REALLY pretty😂

I have a small message for some readers: stories and characters develop. People are going to change for the better or the worst, that’s just how it goes. Naomi wasn’t always the perfect girl (she never was), and with Gojo that’s up to you. Some people feel like he hasn’t done enough or doesn’t deserve Y/N for what he’s done to her, shit even Gojo himself feels like he doesn’t. That’s totally valid. But it’s weird when some readers are frustrated that characters try redeeming themselves or turn out to be terrible or even just make mistakes 😭 no one is perfect, that would make for a boring story. honestly this behavior happens sometimes and I just don’t get it. That anon that was victim blaming gojo for almost getting r*ped and excusing naomi really got under my skin and I felt like I had to say something. ANYWAY.

One thing I wanna say is, good for his dad. He’s finally doing what he should’ve done earlier. Staying together for a kid is never a good idea, they can always tell and it’s better to live with two parents that are happier apart than miserable together. Satoru probably saw how his father tolerated his mother and it skewed his view on relationships. But not anymore, I hope they both cut that parasite out of their lives for good. I hope that they can both go no contact easily but poor Satoru is gonna need years of therapy to undo the damage she’s done.

I’m so nervous about what Toji is going to say to Satoru. I’m actually feeling like Toji might tell him that he wants to give Satoru another chance with Y/N. Another reader pointed out that Toji had the luxury to live out their happy family and I know he would want Y/N and Yui to have that opportunity. Toji has his faults but he’s a good person and I said a couple chapters back he wants Y/N to be happy.

I DO THINK he should be letting Y/N make these decisions to be honest but I don’t even know what Toji is gonna say so let me stop before I get ahead of myself LOL

Satoru was too lenient on Naomi but it’s his decision to make on what he thinks should happen. A legal battle would just put the entire situation at the forefront of his life for months, maybe years and he just seems tired of it all. I just hope she leaves and doesn’t ever come back, she’s done enough.

Through it all, I wonder what Y/N wants. Would she be willing to give Gojo another chance? Does she even still love him like that? We’ve been a bit in the dark about her actual feelings for him, we just know what she’s been thinking. She’s a very reserved protagonist, even to us as readers I think. Toji can make her happy, I think she knows this too. So if a decision was to be made by her, I wonder what she’d choose.

I’m hoping that this zoo hangout can give them some peace and clarity for their future. Whatever it is, I know you’ll do it justice. This next chapter is either the final one, or the second to last one and I’m so excited!

hiiii, this is so on point. just like real people, these characters change depending on the situation they go through and information they acquire. i feel like some readers wants someone perfect, but having perfect characters could literally end an angst story in a chapter or 2 so that's less fun 😭 as for toji, he really wants yn to be and he can make her happy, it's just that their situation isn't really helping or allowing it to happen smoothly 🥹 satoru was being a soft about what he wants to happen to naomi for the sake of peace. man's just tired and other than that, he's blaming himself for it too. it's like he's thinking that it wouldn't have happened if he didn't drag it long :(( As for yn's feelings, i hope chapter 8 can deliver it well, it's in there !! anw thank you so much for this, im grateful for all of your support to me and this story<3 i hope you're doing well~

so yesterday after me and a few others finished watching my vampire boyfriend, we got talking about ships and laito and stuff on call. and we had a particularly interesting conversation about laito and his loneliness. i feel like i need to write it down somewhere. 

// typical-laito themes, mentions of suicide and drugs under the cut. this is a long ass post. 

so in my head when i start pairing up everyone in DL, it goes as follows: 

kino gets with yuri, obviously. shin and carla have each other - whether you make that incest or just as brothers keeping each other company, isolated as founders. then you get shu and yuma, reiji and ruki, kou and subaru and i do like azusa and kanato; they are official rivals too. 

that leaves ayato and laito but goddamn, ayayui is my STRONG bias, so i’m gonna take ayato and put him with yui. 

who does that leave? laito. 

laito as a character is SO fuckin lonely. someone said yesterday that he was like a side character in his own routes and yknow what, it’s so painfully true. laito’s routes are so isolated from everyone else. yeah he rivals with kou in more blood but not in the same way as subaru rivals with kou. 

sure, ayato TRIES really hard to get through to laito, in both drama CDs and the games, ESPECIALLY lost eden. but laito generally turns it away. he isolates himself so hard, to the point where he is straight up suicidal and prepared to die so that he doesn’t have to carry the burden of having the powers of the man he hated the most in the whole word. 

until laito fully understands himself, his feelings and his trauma, i don’t think he will ever be able to love somebody. in fact when i look at all of the guys, i genuinely think laito is the only one who i don’t think will ever manage to have a healthy relationship. he might do “his best” but frankly i don’t think his best attempt at loving and trusting yui is enough and she would deserve so much better. 

laito’s existence is a pit - there’s that one quote that diane says in bojack horseman where she says “i’m a pit that good things fall into” or something like that. and damn, yeah, that reminds me of laito. i think back to lost eden when he says “i want you to let me hate you” 

this chronic emptiness is precisely why laito’s routes never feel like laito’s routes. his childhood was stolen and i don’t think he’ll ever get his sense of self back. hell i don’t think he ever developed one. this is one of the major reasons i think he has BPD. 

and this, all this, is why laito as a drug addict makes So Much Goddamn Sense. if he found something which made him feel good, confident and just a little bit more whole, he’d throw himself into it headfirst. and if he dies, he dies. but addiction is lonely. in the long term, it’d make him so much worse. 

laito loses himself very easily in more blood, dark fate and lost eden when bad things set him off. frankly i don’t think he has much of a chance after everything and we definitely see that. 

in fact in his lost eden vampire ending when he resets his existence or something and lives his life with yui without his memories of his mother, it’s pretty interesting that this is the only time he’s ever truly been happy. all the time he’s living in the shadow of what cordelia did to him, i don’t think he has much of a chance at a happy ending.

what  does  your  muse  smell  like  ?

warmth and ashes. eden is someone who's leaning towards the warmer side of things and her scent reflects as such. her affinity with path of preservation allows her to resonate with the element of fire, thus, she often carries that sort of scent with her. that, and the smell of the burning stars are akin of burning coals, and that is what stellaron makes her body emit. the scent of stars. sometimes, you'd be able to catch a faint hint of coffee or hot cocoa as those are her go-to beverage to drink.

what  do  your  muse’s  hands  feel  like ?

eden often wears gloves on both her hands, but given that she's a fighter through and through, her hands are a proof of that. scarred and rather calloused, she has hands of a warrior who holds countless weapons and had been through more battles than one could count. there are still parts that are soft, but most of the time when you hold her hands, you know these are hands of someone who is on the frontline. scarred, bruised, and battered. you can find the list of scars on her hand in this post : scars.

what  does  your  muse  usually  eat  in  a  day ?

it's no surprise nor secrets that eden enjoys eating and snacking. she actually snacks a lot during daytime or when she's thinking about something. you'd often find her chewing or nibbling on something whenever she's reading or even during her exploration if she has a chance. she does eat proper meals on time, however, with brunch being her favorite because she loves meat and eggs. but really, this girl isn't a picky eater. she'd eat anything anyone gives her or anything she comes across. best way to lure her out is by food, this had been proven more than once.

does  your  muse  have  a  good  singing  voice ?

my portrayal of eden is japanese based, so her voice actor is ishikawa yui. her voice has quite a wide range, it could go deeper or pitch higher depending on her emotions, but there's always a calming or soothing quality to it. she'd serenade you. here are some of the examples of her singing voice : [1], [2].

does  your  muse  have  any  bad  habits  or  nervous  ticks  ?

biting is one thing. i say this as a bad habit because it's something she does without realizing most of the time. when she's stressed or nervous, she tends to lean onto nibbling or gnawing on something, or someone. this explains why she likes to snack when she's concentrating. another bad habit i'd say is that she is most likely to not place value in herself as much as others. eden, at her very core, does not view herself as human because she isn't one. she is a vessel created to house the stellaron, she is artificially made, so in her own eyes, she is less of a person than those around her and she would put other people's lives above her own.

what  does  your  muse  usually  look  like/wear  ?

she likes her default outfit as they're comfortable and easy to move around in. she has a particular penchant for jackets, coats, and hoodies. from time to time she does wear something casual for dates or outings just to change it up. here's her casual outfit. eden doesn't pay much attention to her outfit or clothing unless there's a special occasion that calls for it.

is  your  muse  affectionate  ?  How  so  ?

while she might seem cautious and stoic with those she just met, eden is actually extremely affectionate with those she trusts and loves. the way she expresses her affection is mostly through physical touch and act of intimacy than words. i've written a few posts about her expression of love and habits which you could find them below :

what  position  does  your  muse  sleep  in  ?

either on her back if she passes out from exhaustion or on her side as she's curled up towards something or someone. most of the time, she has a habit of sleeping curled up as though she's holding onto someone. eden doesn't know why it's like that or when the habit develops, of course, but she sleeps better when she's holding onto something in her hands or arms.

could  you  hear  your  muse  in  the  hallway  from  another  room  ? 

depends on the situation. eden can be loud and chaotic if the situation calls for it, but most of the time she's rather quiet and kept to herself unless spoken to or provoked. she has rather firm and solid footsteps, however, so you might be able to hear the sound of her heeled boots against the ground as she walks.

For the previously inevitable, now upcoming, Fate Samurai Remnant collab event with FGO, there were three Servants I was really hoping would NOT be added to FGO: FSR Saber, Berserker Musashi, and Miyamoto Iori. And they've already added the first one. Sigh...

As for Berserker Musashi, if she's added to FGO, it would 1) undermine Musashi's erasure at the end of Olympus, 2) we already have Berserker Musashi with her summer version, it would be so much more confusion to add another Berserker Musashi, and 3) it feels, to me, that Berserker Musashi works so much better as... a unique encounter, a singular experience, just for Iori, to be able to see and fight his Sensei again, and for Musashi to see her pupil, at least one version of him, both similar and different to the one she knew. I feel like that Musashi, that version of her, should be something uniquely singular, a once in a lifetime chance for a once in a lifetime reunion, and adding her to FGO would undermine that.

It's very similar for Iori, like Shuttershocky's post said, Iori is a man born in the wrong time, born not in war but also unable to live fully in peace, he is a swordsman with skill, yes, but no name besides that of his adoptive father and no true claim to fame and Servanthood. And I personally fear, and would rather not have it happen, that he'd be the welfare Servant in the FSR event, cuz that does tend to be the way with FGOs collabs, the protagonist characters (Ryougi Shiki, Gray, Sieg, Erice) tend to be the Welfare ones.

All that being said......... you could do something really interesting if he's still in the event, just hopefully not as a Servant. HELL! It would be very exciting to have him somehow be the antagonist! "To serve as an upheaval for all eternity", right?!

As for the other FSR originating Servants: I personally feel that Samson and Zhou Yu personally work better in FSR, the way their stories are tied to that Grail War and their Masters (for Samson, it's those he connected, if not contracted, with), that I'd rather not have them be summonable in FGO, but it's more alright than the ones above. Toss FSR Caster in there too, I guess, I have no problem with him being in FGO but most of his nature and role is tied to him facing Saber in that specific Grail War, what the fuck is he gonna do in FGO? I also don't see much of a point to adding FSR Rider to FGO either, because she's kinda already been there and I dunno if she'd be adding anything new? I'm welcome to being surprised though.

Rogue Saber, I'm completely fine with him jumping into FGO, he already has connections to characters there and he's not super dependent on the nature of FSRs HGW and plot, he could fit in easily. Same with Assassin too, mostly. (I originally wasn't a fan of his True Name reveal but his Lanky Kong-ass has grown on me)

A couple of the Masters, actually, you could stretch into Servants (I say stretch because they're not super prominent or well known, kinda below standard Servant quality levels, but FGO has made 'weaker' ones work). Koei Tecmo does their research well, Zheng Chenggong, Yui Shosetsu, and Takao Dayu were all real people, and Dorothea is the fictional daughter of the real Frederik Coyette (who actually unsuccessfully fought Chenggong when the latter took Taiwan from the Dutch). Chiemon, well, I don't know if I'd want to see him as a Servant, but I would LOVE to see some interaction between him and Amakusa. Also, Tsuchimikado gets a criminally low amount of attention with how he was built up as the ritual's mastermind. I'd welcome the event expanding more on him!

Ultimately, though, what I do think could work and might actually want to see as the welfare... would be Kaya+Ototachibanahime. That was a moment in FSR that I felt really didn't get enough screentime and explanation, having them as a welfare Caster in FGO could help with explaining that, and they do already fit the pseudo-Servantness that other crossed over characters have.

3. Kino

Being forgotten by your true "father" and abandoned in Rottenberg is a very sad scenario. Kino was also bullied because of his race, since the ghouls did not treat someone like him well. However, after releasing his powers, they began to respect him, so Kino became their leader, and unlike other characters, he also got Yuri, his friend, by his side. Kino is a mentally strong person, but he still struggles with it, especially given his resentment of the Sakamaki brothers for obtaining Karl's "love," even though they did nothing to him. He also gaslights others for "having it better," and dwells on his past to the point of obsession. It feels as if he doesn’t live for himself anymore, but merely for recognition.

2. Kou

Losing your wealth, ending up in a manhole, then in an orphanage where you were assaulted and exploited because you were a pretty child... As horrifying as it may sound, Kou has a very realistic past because the events that happened to him actually occurred in Romania during that time period. Honestly, despite his background, I'm surprised he's generally such a cheerful person. He would have been first on the list, but Kou never moved on from his experiences. He, like Kino, held a grudge against the Sakamakis for having "a better life" than him, despite the fact that he was unaware of their past. Anyway, he was in MB at the time, and based on DF and LE, he's doing much better now and is a sunshine boy, so he deserves this spot.

1. Ayato

I guess it's always been obvious that Ayato is mentally the healthiest Diaboy. His past is almost on the level of Haruka from Moshikami, which says a lot because it's so messed up that I wouldn't have been surprised if he lost all hope, but he didn't, which is really admirable.

Ayato never complained about what he went through, never gaslighted others for having it better, never engaged in a harmful coping mechanism and never projected on others. Yes, he has insecurities; he is afraid of not being loved or not being the best, but he is not dependent on these. He could still live peacefully without achieving them. Furthermore, he doesn't need a person to "fix" or help him deal with his struggles; he simply wants someone to appreciate and believe in him.

He's a carefree person who surprisingly prefers to look on the bright side and holds no resentment toward those who have wronged him as long as he knows their reasons and that everything turned out well. His ability to forgive people so easily is both a strength and a weakness because some people do such horrible things to you that they no longer deserve your forgiveness.

I like Kino but he literally burned you alive, beat you up, stole Yui, and wanted to sell you to the church to be slaughtered, but in the end, you gave him a second chance and were the first to integrate him and recognize him as a Sakamaki?? And normally, I wouldn't mind this since I give a bunch of second chances too but the thing is, nobody is willing to forgive AYATO if things go wrong, and that's painful because it's so unfair. ://

I might have realized why Karlheinz thinks Ayato is more special than anyone else, and this quote from his DF Ecstasy epilogue perfectly explains it:

Basically, what makes Ayato the official Adam is the fact that unlike other demons, who are ignorant to death, he still has a desire to live and fights for it. No matter how much pain he has endured, nothing can break him.

One of the reasons his LE route was so reviled in the Japanese and English fandoms is that nothing hurts more than seeing an energetic and strong-willed character who appeared that way in seven games suddenly lose all hope and drown in misery.

I have written a too much about Ayato, but he deserves it. He’s not the smartest or most calculated guy, but he is unquestionably the most mentally strong one, and I doubt any other Diaboy would have ended up as approachable as Ayato if he had been in his position.

Monologue

Several months have passed, since I came here.

While everything was quiet and peaceful at first,

the situation made a complete 180 right after,

and even right now,

things are rapidly changing in the Demon World.

The trigger for all of this,

was Karlheinz-san,

both the Vapire King and the Supreme Overlord of the Demon World,

and his decision to pass down his powers to one of his sons.

The once stable and peaceful state of the Demon World,

took a turn for the worst in the blink of an eye.

As soon as that happened,

the other Demonic races came to the conclusion,

that now while the new ruler was still inexperienced,

it would be the prime opportunity to steal the throne,

with various conflicts breaking out all over the country...

Yui: ( The Vampire, Wolf, Adler and Vibora Clan...Those are the four main sub-species of the Demon World. )

( Aside from those, there’s Founders like Carla-san and Shin-kun...The First Bloods. )

( Not only do they stand independent from any other race, they possess great powers. That’s why several other clans have reached out to them.

( ...Because they want to use their powers to their own advantage. )

( Seems like today as well, several Familiars from different species came to visit Banmaden one after the other. )

...Must be a lot of work.

( However, it seems like those two have been sending all of them back home empty-handed. )

Shin: The same as usual. It’s pretty clear that all they care about are our powers. 

They could really benefit from some manners, I had to stop myself from simply burning them all to the ground. 

Carla: It cannot be helped. It only makes sense that they would seek out stronger allies.

Shin: But you know, it’s so blatantly obviously that they’re trying to be in control since we’re outnumbered. 

That sort of arrogant attitude really pisses me off ...!

Yui: ( Seems like Shin-kun is really stressed out from having to deal with various other Demons day after day. )

There’s actually a lot! Though here’s a lyric that influenced her softheartedness (which I used for a picrew tag game like last last week but shhh):

Very obvious inspirations just from these lines!! For more context the song is basically about the original version of the Little Mermaid, where the mermaid was given a choice: kill the prince with a silver knife, or turn into sea foam and cease to exist. So, basically, Kayo would be the little mermaid refusing to kill her prince despite very obvious repercussions if she doesn’t. Hmm…

🎭 MASKS - do they act differently around certain people? what's different between the way they act around friends, family, strangers, etc.?

Kayo was once a really bubbly girl, and once tried to get close to Seiji and the other staff at the church. The only problem was her reputation, their odd belief that she was a demon. They would always maintain a certain distance from her at all times, afraid of angering her in case she snaps, but also not wishing to treat her kindly. 

Because of this, towards both those living in the church and her schoolmates back in the day, she would always keep her voice down and close in on herself so no one would have any reason to be scared of her. Ironically, that’s the reason why her classmates started isolating her. She was physically imposing—tall, long and dark hair, and piercing eyes—who wouldn’t be afraid of the girl who never speaks, but stares into your soul like she knows what's in there?

In the end, she was alienated.

Later as the hunter, she stopped caring about masks, and adopted a general friendly, yet dry demeanor towards most humans. She’s even flirty at times, though her sweet words are always empty. She treats demons with obvious disdain, less of a personal grudge, and more of because she has no incentive to be kind to them. They’re prey, and they might as well be dead, so who cares if they come to hate her?

As a bride, she finally met people that weren’t scared of her—the vampires, the school staff, and even her new classmates. 

She tried sucking up to the vampires to not get killed immediately for Yui’s sake—if she dies too early there’s a chance someone would find out that she isn’t actually the bride—but eventually her original, kinder personality shows through and she ends up being either a big sister and a spoiled brat, depending on who she’s with.

With school staff and classmates, she’s generally friendly, though a little awkward. She’s willing to befriend anyone who approaches her first, and even tries to reach out herself sometimes. Be kind to her, she’s new to this.

Forget-me-nots ; Keep me in your thoughts. Naturally it's part of the bouquet—it’s your favorite flower, after all, even if you can’t remember why. How silly that you’ve done the very thing this flower begged you not to do.

Blue Hydrangeas ; Apology. Are you apologizing, or is this someone apologizing to you?

Skeleton Flowers ; Affection. Like how rain turns its petals transparent, one day you’ll have to lay yourself bare against the world.

Admin, what do you think about Reiji and Yui ship? Do you like it?

Admin: I will speak in my opinion on the wall of text below so beware that I may be a bit different from what most of you may think. Other than that, please enjoy the rant? 💀

It's OK. Like, I don't oppose nor support it. Cuz if we break it down, Yui will find herself a bit unhappy with it imo.

So, Reiji is undoubtedly the most matured Sakamaki and very ambitious, reserved, high maintenance, and most importantly, a perfectionist. He has lotta expectations for his woman as well as himself that most women aren't to his satisfaction. Yui on the other hand, a normal highschool girl, clumsy and you can see she is drastically different from what Reiji wants or is suitable of.

I'm not entitling that people liking this ship is wrong. It's cute honestly. I can see in DF, later games and in Drama CDs that they somehow complete each others. She's kind and taught Reiji of humanity. Makes him question his vampirism and more like- changed his character.

He's super romantic and that might be what some fans want. He can cook for you, he will take care of you when you're sick, he brings flowers for you, buy you a nice dinner, tea parties, ball dances yes he's surely a dreamy man. Maybe I'm a masochist for wanting the HDB Reiji everytime but damn that's what I fall in love with.

If we go back to ReijixYui, Yui may or may not be able to fulfill his needs and wants. She doesn't have a perfect grade or best manners and he surely shown to be distasteful of it in early games. He persistently tried to fix her. Lecture her and make her study lots. While he did accept her imperfections later on but what if he didn't?

That could become a problem like, Rejet kinda forced that upon them that they will become lovers overlooking Reiji's ambitious nature. I know of they stayed long enough by each others they will slowly accept it but is it alright to change one person or another just because of love?

Like, look, Yui is a normal highschool girl, a Japanese one as well. Most normal highschool girls in Japan wanna date popular, cool guys at their school like Ayato, Kou, Subaru if we look outside from Yui knowing they're ruthless vampires. While Reiji, he would be more popular with nerds or academic obsessed girls. Maybe Yui could have a crush on Reiji if she wasn't living in the Sakamaki manor and was attending Ryotei, but the chances are low.

Going back on topic, if they aren't forced to be together, they won't be. If Yui didn't choose Reiji,he wouldn't take an interest in her. But the good point is, she chose him. I bet it shook him inside even if he doesn't show or act like he doesn't care because it's a human. He cares. She smells good and a good prey he won't deny.

They're super cute honestly, in Sleeping vampire and Care for a vampire, Reiji was caring AND teasing. Yui in his route can feel like Y/N sometimes. He would just act all in the player/listener's favor and I would say I definitely enjoyed it. In the drama CDs as well. He's teasing and Yui couldn't say anythung back to him about it~

There it is on the surface but on a deeper level, she may be exhausted from doing all the best for him? The Yui we know would do that. She wants to make Reiji proud and she even said “I want to feel worthy of standing beside you” at some point. Pardon me for not remember where. I do think she would do it all for him and be who he wants her to be but is it really healthy?

So one way or another it's either Yui changes or Reiji changes. But if we look at those points where Yui became a sadist? I definitely enioyed those scenes. Reiji has switch tendencies and I honestly don't think he would mind to worship a woman he finds very worthy of it. Not shipping him with Cordelia/possessed Yui but here is my fav CGs of all time <3 and I am shoked how it's all Cordelia possessing Yui 💀But Look at HIM.

Yuiin her normal nature won't do it nor even think about doing such a thing <3 Baby is pure. My point for the whole rant being: Reiji and Yui live in a VERY different world.

I don't think Reiji is suitable for the throne, from listening to a few lost Eden CD, I noticed he.... struggles being one. And I swear Yui CAN be a queen if she wants to. She has the charm, while Reiji doesn't. He proves himself through his actions and I can't see him more than a supporting character for the King or a successful scientist 💀

Since this is asking about my opinion, I won't have to care for the already-known-facts. So bear with me, we're close to the end.

Reiji won't be able to improve himself if he's with Yui, not character wise, but knowledge wise. I can see him incredibly bored with her always asking and never him asking her. There ought to be an exchange, right? He craves for an intellectual conversation, someone who can sate his thirst for knowledge and reason with him.

Opposite attract yeah, it's cool and nice. But.... I almost can't find that one essential common interest for that trope.

Yui maybe wanna discuss about fashion magazines, go to malls and try out pretty outfits and ask him how she looks, go for not-so-formal dates, walk along the streets and jump into puddles with her partner, skip classes together, watch silly movies and much more teeny stuffs! Can you see Reiji doing them? Yes, maybe in his early ages but not anymore. I can see him being equivalent to Carla in the aspect of matureness.

I see them cute, without thinking of all these points apart. But that's pretty much all. Just cute. Not really suitable for a long term relationship. After all, Reiji will be Reiji and Yui will be Yui. Their worlds are far different to merge.
