Been struggling to find the words to express my feelings about H and the conclusion of Love on Tour but here goes:

Tons of singing, dancing, laughter, screaming, pride flags, boas, bananas, butterflies, sunnies, rainbows, sparkles, and pure joy

A million tears cried listening to SOTT, Fine Line, Little Freak, and Matilda live

Infinite happy memories to last a lifetime

1 incredible tour

My heart is both full and broken. I’m grateful for the experiences but sad that it’s over. Happy that H can take a well-deserved break but knowing how much I’ll miss him.

I can’t predict the future. I don’t know what he’ll do or how long he’ll be gone. I don’t know if he’ll ever be able to replicate this era of his career again or if he’ll exceed it. What I do know is I plan on being here when he gets back, be that in a few months or a few years.

To H, I would say: thank you for the music, thank you for the love, thank you for the memories but most of all, thank you for being you. I hope you never stop bringing light into this world.

People are so surprised when Clark seems to actually...like Bruce Wayne? Like for his personality?

Like, when people date Bruce Wayne, it's usually for his money, his fame, or both. And everybody knows this, even Bruce, clueless as he is. It's not like he's dating them because he thinks they're his true love, he's clearly just having some fun, and if Bruce is okay with it, well, everybody else is too. No big deal. Bruce gets what he wants, his partners get what they want, and that's it.

So when Bruce Wayne announces he's dating Clark Kent, everyone assumes he'll be just like the rest. Except--he's not?

Outside of his job as a reporter and a few appearances as Bruce's date, he remains pretty private--so he's not after his five minutes of fame. So he must be after some money, right? No problem, Bruce loves spending money on his partners.

Except, it's been like two months but Clark keeps showing up to things in cheap, ill-fitting suits and sources report that he still lives in a small, mid-grade apartment in Metropolis, and he doesn't even have a car. A car is like a chump change gift to a guy like Bruce.

And then people start talking to him because they gotta figure out what this guy's deal is and...Clark seems to...like Bruce? Like obviously Bruce is a likeable guy, but not as a serious romantic partner. But Clark talks about how he likes spending time with Bruce, and spending time with Bruce's kids (which is absolutely unheard of), and he wishes they both had more free time to spend together.

Anyway, people are so confounded by smart, normal guy Clark Kent in an actual loving relationship with the guy who got in a public argument last week because he thought melancholy was a vegetable.

Annabeth, and others, often treat Percy as if he’s ridiculous or obtuse for his reactions to the demigod world, when in reality he’s a (relatively) well adjusted kid who was raised by a loving parent. His actions make sense based on his upbringing

- parents arent supposed to be neglectful

- parents are supposed to be easily attainable, loving, and present in a child’s life

- if you’re in trouble, you should call for help, there isn’t shame in admitting you’re in over your head, you’re twelve

- you shouldn’t have to jump through life endangering hoops to get your parent’s attention

Annabeth acts like he’s ridiculous, but he’s right. Annabeth knows how the Greek world works, but Percy knows how the real world is supposed to work. & rightfully calls out the BS. But it’s hard for most demigods to agree because what kid wants to admit the way their parents treat them is awful? That their actions are those of aloof, negligent, even narcisstic people who are unwilling or incapable of giving the proper love and support a child needs. That even if their godly parent does love them, it’s a pathetic, horrible, attempt at love you’re better off without.
