America blowing everything up always felt kind of inevitable, so I'm not really shocked so much as pleasantly surprised that she did what Cory wouldn't do, and called out Jared as being a key part of the power structure that has been weakening Cameron at every turn.
Cory may have convinced the house that he could "control" America, but that was never really sustainable. I'm curious to see how Cirie and Izzy react if it (likely) gets back to them that America might be an actual problem.
So far, America has benefitted from the fact that the same low social capital that leads to people not taking her seriously as an ally, has also crossed over into them not taking her seriously as a potential enemy.
But America is constantly trying to get people to compare notes on Cirie & co. and come together against them. She doesn't want to work with them, she wants to take them down. Their slow-walking to accepting that cause they like Cory, is becoming another blind spot for them.
the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
this literally never stops being funny like dog they made starship troopers with the Baby's First Satire cranked up to 11 and these people are still fucking dumbfounded that the creators don't share their politics

I always find myself wondering about the side conversations that must happen between the other characters while your PC is busy talking to the plot point givers.
