I need more loving Percy. Percy who knows how to comfort and be gentle bc his mom was wonderful and showed him all of these things. Him knowing how to comfort someone with touch or without. Percy who keeps a heated blanket in his cabin just in case. He’s still a New Yorker, but when the time comes he knows how to be kind and comforting.

do you hate annabeth because she's black now??

Hate book Annabeth? Sometimes, but not entirely, though, I dislike her character portrayal later in the books.

Hate Show Annabeth? Not in this lifetime, she has managed to make Annabeth likable by toning down her sheer aggressiveness towards Percy that she has on the whole first two books and I think we can all agree that Leah has nailed the essence of Annabeth before the show ruined it that is.

(I won't even address your titular question because it's so absurd and of literally no significance to the whole thing.)

Have they butchered her character arc in the show? Absolutely. They made her borderline cold and detached from emotions and removed from things of normal world. Annabeth's problem has never been her lack of sentiment or normalcy or her cold demeanor. She is one of the most empathizing characters in the books because she is so flawed and so human, and the show has literally ripped that from her in an attempt of female empowerment and other bullshit as if Annabeth chase of all people needs female empowerment .

Do I hate Show? Absolutely.

I think it must be some sort of universal rule that you either get great books or great movies/shows, but you can't have both.

Cause the actors are spot on, but they have butchered the show utterly and completely like there's not enough words for the amount of things wrong with it.

And don't even get me started on visual effects for monsters and stuff cause even the movie had better visual effects .

The only redeemable part about the show is the Posally backstory and the take on Medusa.

And that's all I have to say over this whole mess .

March books!

-DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND READ THE CROWNS OF NYAXIA SERIES!!! I am obsessed. Don’t skip the novella that comes after the first book. It’s called “Six Scorched Roses” and is so good. I believe I will write some fics for this series in the future 🥰

-The Witch Collector likely deserves a better rating as I listened to this one via audiobook and found the audio itself to be boring. However, I have a special edition of this book on pre-order and will review again once I’ve *physically* read it. It has a lot of potential and the FMC is mute, and seeing stories/representation of individuals with disabilities is important to me! Also, the author is amazing to her fans!! So I would still suggest giving this series a chance. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

- Butcher & Blackbird. Listened to this on audio and it was fucking awesome.

- Yet another reread of ACOMAF aka my Roman Empire

- Slaying the Vampire Conquerer was good. I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to but I liked it still. This is a standalone novel in the Crowns of Nyaxia world and characters from it will be introduced in later books in the series. I think I will have more of an appreciation for the book whenever I see how they fit in.

- Ice Planet Barbarian books 1-3. You know what? I like it. It’s fun PWP with endearing characters and hot himbo aliens that just wanna take care of their mates and make babies with them. I plan to read more of these books.

- Fourth Wing. I fuckin’ adore Violet Sorrengail. Underdog who is a cunning, resilient badass but also completely relatable in the sense that she spends the entire book thirsting for the hot dude that is totally dangerous for her. Bc I too would be internally warring with myself like, “He could kill me???? Yeah, but he’s HOT.”

-Spy AU-

“Rikos” Queen she’s his prized possession. Kevin and her meet again when they are trying to take Riko down. She was raised to be a butcher but the main branch didn’t want her because she although being first born was a woman so pawned her off to Riko. Finds out her brother Neil is actually alive and ends up working at a double agent against Riko with the FBI (Foxhole Court).

-Sister AU-

She is Ichirou’s Butcher (the Wrath) bad is working for Kengo for the time being. She works as a translator as well as a bodyguard of sorts. She kills somebody during a meeting and get told off by Kengo and is ordered to check in on their Kevin asset. In other words it going along with the main story line but with her written in and some plot changes.

What did everyone get for Christmas?

The heroes and their allies all got a rare (but welcomed) calm and peaceful day out with their families, friends, and loved ones.

The Savage Scavengers (including their boss) all get together and do their own Secret Santa with one another.

The (few) Null Order troopers that secretly regret joining them in the first place do their best to celebrate the holidays whenever they know for a fact the others aren't watching.

Victor finds a tree that holds gifts from..."Them"...All activity from The Grave Walkers cease for a week.

King Xeno Blight gives everyone a day off since while he may be a evil ruler, he isn't a complete tyrant.

The unwilling members of The Syndicate of Steel get a day of silence as The Solvers within them mysteriously glitch out during the holidays...They enjoy it as much as they can for the time being...

The restless hunger within The Texas Wendigo quiets down for at least a little while...Tex Butcher would get to rest when he temporarily takes back control of his body...

...The less sympathetic villains just find coal in completely random places.
