Happy Valentine's Day everyone! 😁💖 I worked really hard on this. So I hope you all enjoy! Headcanons are below the cut! - ✒️🐉

1) They have a HUGE wedding. Many friends and Family come. And I headcannon that Jay has a very big extended family so that's a lot!🤣

2) They move into the old lighthouse and fix it up/fortify it. It eventually becomes a small rest stop for ships.

3) Nya runs a mechanics shop for boats and water craft there. And Jay has a shop to sell salvage, drift wood, and knickknacks. He also does a little inventing on the side. Although it doesn't usually end well. Lol. Name ideas for their shops would be appreciated!

4) They have a LOT of kids. Five to be exact. Ray, Maya, Ed, and Edna are very proud grandparents. The kids are, in order from youngest to oldest, Piper, Ren, Wynn, Raine, and Poe. Currently I only have a design for Poe. (Seen above.) But the rest are coming. I can assure you. I'll provide some descriptions in the meantime!

Poe: Pictured above! He's very calm and charismatic. And while he's a good fighter and pirate hunter, he enjoys quieter hobbies such as painting. His main weapon is a harpoon.

Raine: Very light skinned. With curly silver hair. (Her hair color is caused by her unique elemental power, Storm!⛈️) She's a little in the small side. But still sturdy and a real fighter. She's a tough cookie! Raine eventually becomes part of the Next Gen Ninjas.

Wynn: Light skinned, with black curly hair. Always wearing a pair of flight goggles. (He's an inventor like Ed and Edna.) Eternally curious and questioning.

Ren: He's got red hair like Jay, and tan complexion like his mom. Ren's got an explorer streak and loves charting new islands. He plans to sail to the other side of Ninjago's oceans someday. He's almost never seen without Wynn. The two are inseparable.

Piper: The baby of the family! She has blonde hair like Libber. She may be little. But she's brave. Not too much on her currently. But she will have a bigger role to play in the future.

5) Cole LOVES their kids. And is very protective of them. (Like "would give his life for them" kind of protective.) He practically treats them as though they were his own. He's their bestest uncle, besides Kai.

6) Raine has a mix of both Nya and Jay's element. She's the master of Storm. She's the first case of a merged element in Ninjago history. And when she was young, it was VERY unstable. Raising a super powered baby was NOT easy.

7) They are pirate hunters. For reasons...🧞‍♂️ Anyway! Their family is known for keeping the coasts of Ninjago safe and sound. Especially their oldest boy Poe, who's shaping up to be a great pirate hunter.

8) They own a flying ship! They needed a way to get to shore fast and since they didn't have the Bounty, Nya and Jay just built one of their own. It's smaller but just the right size for them. And it's called the Storm Rider. It's even got cannons for taking down pirate ships!

(P.S. Two quick things! One, these headcanons are related to a fanseason I'm working on called Ninjago: New Genesis. So that's why they don't line up with Dragons Rising. And two, yes. I noticed Poe's eyes are miscolored in one pic. They're supposed to be brown. I didn't notice until after I finished.😂)

not sure how much of a loaded lore question this is but how cosmically important/powerful are the 4 main guardians, genesis, the great devourer, wojira, the preeminent and first bourne are in your universe are they god like beings that embody concepts like the fsm and and the overlord or are they just semi immortal magic creatures also sorta unrelated but do you have art of the guardians

Firstbourne/Alpha: Is actually the "mother" of the FSM, and is just a semi-immortal magic creature, but can be perceived as something of a god in the First Realm. Possesses the Essence of Creation and all four Elements, but cannot combine them into the Green Element. While she couldn't wrap her head around the concept of Balance at the time, she still helped her "son" flee the realm after she realized how miserable he was, and always believed he would return in some form.

The Omega: Is actually the "father" of the FSM, and is also just a semi-immortal magic creature, but can be perceived as something of a god in the First Realm. Wielder of the Essence of Destruction and user of Dark Magic (which, as we know via Garmadon and Mystake, enhances inherent Oni traits). When his "son" fled the Realm, he sent the three Oni Warlords to hunt after him, though Mystake found him first, long after he had turned the Realm of the Endless Sea into Ninjago. Having her heart changed by him and seeing the light of maintaining balance, she in turn killed the other two warlords and left the evidence of the Oni's presence in the realm sealed in a temple within Primeval's Eye.

The FSM: Only inherited the Essences of Creation/Destruction from his "parents", which came together as the Essence of Neutralization (or, the Golden Power), giving him to ability to Master Build/Break. Forced to flee from his home realm due to ensuing war over his powers, the FSM had to learn to harness the Elements from other sources, that being the Guardians found within other realms. From there, and after settling in Ninjago, he experimented with the Core Elements, discovering the Derivative Elements and causing the Green Element to manifest within him as well. Only seen a equivalent to a god as he truly has/had no equal, until...

The Overlord: Was manifested directly by the cosmos to balance out the FSM's otherwise peerless existence. Not exactly a "god" either, but is absolutely on par with the FSM himself, although he has the fatal flaw of only being able to exist when a wielder of the Green Element/Golden Essence does. When the FSM realized this, despite his and Genesis' attempts to seal the Overlord away for good two thousand-some years ago, he wound up giving up his life, in an attempt to cut his Element from the compass and thus prevent the Overlord from ever threatening his realm again. This almost worked, except his grandson was eventually born with the perfect genetic makeup to wield the Element/Essence for himself anyway...leading to the Overlord stirring again to beckon to Garmadon amongst other things. The Overlord's initial motivations are to wipe out the wielder of the Green Element/Golden Essence, even at the expense of himself, but after being defeated by Lloyd (and company) twice, he shifts his goals into erasing the Balance itself so he can extinguish Lloyd yet continue to persist for himself.

The Four Main Guardians: As the FSM ran off to establish a new home where he could live in peace, he came across four wielders of the Core Elements that weren't Dragons—Ruamoko, Eirlys, Tawhiri, and Vulcanell (also semi-immortal but very magic creatures). He befriended them all during his temporary stay in their home realms, and came to master the Four Core Elements, which he then went onto channel into the Four Golden Weapons when he forged them at the Golden Peaks. But when the Overlord reared his ugly head in Ninjago, the FSM summoned his old friends to his aid in the resulting battle, and with their four elements combined as one...

Dragon Genesis / The Great Devourer: ...the four Guardians manifested a Guardian of the Green Element, and one for its opposite of Golden Essence. The golden-eyed, green serpent became known as a snake to eventually be called The Great Devourer, while the green-eyed, golden serpent became known as a dragon called Genesis, who became the FSM's personal dragon. Together, the Devourer helped the FSM split Ninjago in two with destructive force despite her small size, while Genesis kept the Overlord trapped on the sinking half of the island, creating an opportunity for the FSM to seal the Overlord away (although Genesis sealed themself too in the process). The Devourer, after the battle, became the sole Guardian of Central, up until she bit the Master of Destruction, in which her venom reacted badly to Garmadon's Oni traits, while Garmadon's essence invoked a restless and destructive appetite within her that could never be satiated, especially without her other half to keep her in check.

As for what's up with Genesis now, well, that's a pretty big spoiler :P (And I know I said that Genesis came from the First Realm in the Compass post but I lied aka changed stuff around. It's been a while since I wrote that post snksnksnk)

Wojira: Long before Time Had a Name, and long before Ninjago was even a thought, the Storm Spirit Wojira soared through the waves and the winds of the Realm of the Endless Sea. Though she was the sole Guardian of what little lands there were (known as the Aquatic Archipelago in today's times), she did less "guarding" and more "causing chaos" creating turbulent turmoil for the denizens that did live there. With the Realm of the Endless Sea being the FSM's last stop during his quest through the realms, he worked with Nyad to quell the beast's reign, and then went on to forge the Golden Weapons at the Golden Peaks and from there create the island of Ninjago to live upon. And, it was witnessing a Master of Water in action that gave the FSM the realization that there were more elements than just the Core Four, pushing him to begin his experiments to begin with. Wojira, meanwhile, has been left in her deep sleep for all this time, but legends lost to time tell that she will return to reclaim all that was once hers...

The Preeminent: ngl she's a little bit complicated since at two separate points she is a realm and also persists within one, BUT eldritch horror is a suitable title for her so we're going with that for now call me back after Season 4

hi just wanted to tell you your ninjangelion au single-handedly got me to watch the whole original evangelion anime in one day. also i noticed you said you'll be going off the manga more, so i've been wondering if you could point out some main differences between manga and the anime?

Glad you asked! Firstly, I hoped you enjoyed the depressing mindf*ck that is Neon Genesis Evangelion. This au is definitely going to be a lot more positive, and will generally play out a bit more like your average mecha anime because the Ninjago cast is going to be running this story, and unlike in Eva, the ninja have bonafide action series personalities.

Now the differences between Eva Manga vs Anime:

It's hard explain how overwhelmingly different Shinji is in the manga compared to the anime. For one, thing he's actually assertive and pretty self assured. Manga Shinji is what you get if you gave him a more standard shounen protagonist personality and some therapy sessions. Despite that he's still very recognizably Shinji Ikari.

The manga like the rebuild movies, skips over a bunch of the filler angel battles in favor of moving the plot along. It's also likely that Sadamoto didn't have the energy to write and draw all those. (mentally I kept the fillers in for Ninjagelion, mostly because they're fun.)

You'll find that the storyline is much more cohesive here because theres a lot more focus on the secret mystery with SEELE and the Human Instrumentality Project, and learning what the heck the Evangelions even are.

the messages in the manga are pretty much the same as they are in the original anime (excluding EoE)

Manga is significantly less Freudian. Ninjagelion is not gonna be Freudian at all, it's very easy to not give you're characters oedipus/elektra complexes.

the Manga swaps out the weird trippy psychological scenes with weird dream sequences and flashbacks because it's weird to convey them in the medium

Kaworu is a pervy creep with an awful attitude, and Shinji is very discomforted by him. it's really funny

Asuka's role is mildly diminished, and there's no romance with her and Shinji.

Meanwhile, Rei and Kaji's role is much bigger.

END OF EVANGELION IS SOOO DIFFERENT!

The hospital scene is completly changed, making it less disgusting and fucked up as it was in the movie.

Shinji actually manages to save Asuka from being mauled by the MP Evas.

The Ending on the beach is switched out with something that's a little bit like the Rebuild series ending, with Rei creating a new world where the characters wake up in. (which supports the idea that the Manga might be the first iteration of the Eva Timeloop)

Overall the manga might not be as much a masterpiece thematically as the anime, but it's far more cohesive and satisfying. Also its not as depressing.

Niche Under the Magnifying Glass Lamp

If there is one thing I can take away from being in some smaller fandoms, or niche hobbies: You take what you can get and There are people out there who need their medical bills paid for carrying the fandom on their backs.

My two babies are the Lego Monkie Kid:

If you loved Lego Ninjago as a kid and still do to this day, I highly recommend this show. You can find the first couple of seasons on Amazon Prime. Seasons 3 and 4 are gonna be a bit more difficult, and this is what I mean by some needing their medical bills paid. Because the only reason I was able to keep up with the show with it being poorly marketed and dubbing is slow, folks came together to not only find the episodes, but also do their damnedest to fan sub these. I've already written a post about this show and why you need to watch it somewhere on this blog. Anyways, my next baby, and the one I have sunk so much money into already, is Zoids:

Most would be familiar with Chaotic Century or New Century Zero, as the Liger Zero (not depicted here) is the poster boy of the franchise. And with the 40th anniversary upon us, I'm glad I get to experience this niche franchise/hobby in general (My wallet not so much). I say that as I have a few kits that are sadly yet to be built. Right, Zoids if you don't know, started out as a sort of model kit toy line-up with a whole story between two warring factions and the mechanical beings known as Zoids. Most of it takes place on Planet Zi, with the exception being Zoids Wild Zero (and I swear to the gods above, I have been trying to watch this series for years now but finding episodes has been extremely tricky. That or I have just been extremely unlucky.)

Anyways, all that aside, insert here how even small fandoms have their problems and blah blah blah. But in general, I found the hardest part of being in smaller communities is mainly finding the content for them. Again, Zoids just isn't a big thing here in the States, so finding kits can be a little hit or miss. I say this as someone who fell into the pit trap of knockoffs (three to be exact.) and yeah, still new to all of this, only started building the kits recently. And as for Lego Monkie Kid, thankfully the internet exists, and the dedicated fans who work their asses off to find episodes and get them translated? Hats off to you my friends and thank you for all you do. It's always so exciting when you find someone out in the wild, so to speak, who knows about some of these smaller properties. And again, just being in these smaller fandoms, you have a slightly different perspective on Things you wouldn't think about being in bigger fandoms. I never thought I would be building model kits because of my horrible coordination and the fact that a disability I have makes it a little difficult to handle the tiny pieces. But then I discovered Zoids: New Century Zero on youtube some odd years ago and then learned about the model kits. Liger Zero was the first kit I got. Sadly him and my knockoff Mugen Liger took a tumble and are now in Model kit hospital trying to fix the broken parts. And even now, I still hunt for new kits, droll over some I could never hope to own. And I've rewatched Zoids Genesis at least 4 or 5 times now. And before anyone says anything, Yes I have seen Chaotic Century, and I do love it, don't get me wrong. But my favorite Zoid happens to be the Murasame Liger and its evolts. So you can imagine why I would watch Genesis a few more times than the others. And then there's Lego Monkie Kid. See, I loved Lego Ninjago as a kid, always diving into each episode and recording them on the VCR to see anything I missed. And then one day, scrolling through TikTok, I came across some clips of this new Lego animation that was essentially a sequel (I'm not calling it a fanfiction, I swear to the gods I refuse) Of Journey to the West. Which I learned about through Overly Sarcastic Productions. And doing my usual thing, now that I know how to surf the um . . . Okay let's be real here, pirating sites for cartoons and then Amazon Prime for this show. It was so easy to catch up on and the animation was eye candy, the characters and story were amazing, sound design and all.

Anyways, if you made it this far into my rambles, I applaud you and hope I convinced you to go searching around the deeper waters a bit. After all, you never know what you're going to find. Cyrus and the Borg Siblings- A History (Part 1)

Just so the information is out there if anybody's interested in reading it

Let us start all the way back with their creator Cyrus Borg (Deadname Cerese as he was assigned Female at birth) he was born at 34 weeks with a condition called Spina Bifada for the year 1975, odds were not in favor for Cyrus to live long. But he was the newborn that could, with an experimental treatment equating to today's modern surgery to repair the opening Cyrus fought through everything and eventually got to be brought home.

His father is Raphael Borg an Electrician with his own business, his mother Victoria a well known lawyer who would frequently fly from the Mountain Village to Ninjago City to take on Large cases, occasionally she would bring her son along on these trips as Raphael preferred to stay home, he did not like the hustle and bustle of the City. Cyrus can pinpoint these trips was when his interest in technology began,

They began noticing how intelligent Cyrus is right off the bat, he was not in his preschool class a month before they suggested he be moved to Kindergarten early. This trend continued until he broke the record for youngest person to graduate Highschool at 13, after that he was at home a lot and being at home lead to this young genius growing bored.

Which is where the very first P.I.X.A.L came from, Cyrus had heard of a legend his whole life, The Legend of Birchwood Forest, a forest that was a good 5 hour trip away from his mountain village. But as the legend went

A man with a brilliant mind,only wanted a son, but his beloved wife could not have one after having three daughters. So when he spoke of creating his son out of metal and gears, The Village turned on him. Soon his whole family, his wife and three daughters were ostracized due to his own actions and so he planned a place out in Birchwood, nobody knows where it is pretending to head to the market in a nearby Village, he packed up a wagon and was never seen again. Now the inventor and his robotic son wander Birchwood hiding somewhere amongst the trees.

That was the popular version anyway somebody had spotted Zane and his father in years past, there was another version that had him as a tragic figure that had to flee their Village and thus frozen in the snow and so they wander trying to get home, however Cyrus heard the version of the legend that had him as a robot.

And so he questioned could I not replicate the same process? And so Cyrus Borg set to work

Two long years ensued as he worked on the coding even working on the facial plate though he could not fully make her form his mother thought it was just another little project.

She did not know what he was working on would change the face of Ninjago, a new Genesis for a species that would come to be known as The Nindroid race, her little boy who sat before her typing away on his laptop would be the antithesis for a New Era in Technology.

One morning when Cyrus was 15 he came darting downstairs, clutching his laptop excitedly he had done it on the morning of April 13th 1989 at 2:14 in the morning, the Nindroid and P.I.X.A.L that would come to be known as Violet Genesis Borg, spoke her very first words.

Hello creator,

She did not understand why he was so excited until she saw Violet speak on her own, with no prompting entered into the laptop.

She had stared holding a plate in her hands grateful later on she had not dropped it in shock, her son had created sentience and it scared her. Out of every single invention he had never done something so big. But her son was so proud of himself, so she smiled and began treating Violet as another family member, her husband Cyrus's father was even more jovial over what their son had done.

After this invention her son started building more only he patented these ones other inventions that later on would be credited with changing the world as well only in a small way just making things easier for people electronic scanners down to the first cell phone until eventually he opened his own repair shop at the age of 20 Victoria later on would recall being very proud of her son.

In the Year 1997 though tragedy hit the family Violet who had been switched to a body from her laptop suddenly offline it would later be figured out that it was her power source that had overloaded her system Cyrus was very devastated at this first major loss his parents could recall it was the only one that he ever cried over.

Shortly thereafter however Harriet Louise Borg in 1998 would be created, the second in the lineage. Victoria did find it amusing how much Harriet mothered her son it also made her feel better that somebody was always watching him.

It was only 2 years after her creation that she went offline, and it was only a few months after that that number three Chloe Eloise Borg would be created.

Victoria did not agree with how Chloe was brought online and subsequently silenced when terrified by the crowd that had gathered to see her brought online.

His mother began seeing signs of her son not seeing them as human and that did concern her even she could see how sentient and unique they each were, she did not know if it was hurt because they had had such short life spans up until this point or what was going on, she tried to have a talk with her youngest son but he just confirmed her fears. But there was nothing she could do without driving him away. She had already lost Cliff she would not lose Cyrus.

Chloe offlined in the year 2002 their lifespans seemed to be 2 years at most Cyrus kept on creating at this point he had just opened his 7th store and Xians first official online date was also in front of a crowd that was even larger than Chloe's.

Xian was the first to break the mold of every two years she managed to last 3 years until the Year 2005,

In 2006 Artemis would be created she would offline a year later in 2007 of which Rebecca would be created to follow her this once a year thing continued with the Twins Celia and Quinzel, then their younger sister Roxanne. Victoria once again didn't know if it was frustration on Cyrus's part but her son had closed himself off and it worried her greatly it seemed to her, he more and more was ending up like his bigger brother, the wealth getting to him and that disappointed her.

In 2010 Simone and Felix were created, something had broke in Cyrus. Later on Victoria would find out it was because Felix reminded him of himself after he had modeled Simone to look like her Creator if he hadn't transitioned, to have Felix be like him in the retrospect of not feeling right in one's own body woke him up to how sentient they were.

2011 however came with the additions of for more Serilda, Isabella, Penny and Jennifer later known as Jenny.

It seemed Cyrus had grown desperate trying to figure out and experimenting to try to keep these guys online. It was summer of 2011 that the first final battle of Ninjago City occurred he decided to come out of the shadows and assist the city rebuilding and by late 2012 he transferred his final version of the P.I.X.A.L lineage to the newly opened Borg Industries, finally bestowing her with the name and acronym of P.I.X.A.L. She was his finest work everything culminated into one Nindroid that we would come to know and love

This is October, it means I'll be busy during my favorite holidays and be doing important things.

Before that, I got some bad news and it was devastating for me to hear. My aunt has passed away yesterday due to being fatally sick and after she got something removed a few months ago...it was actually a cancer tumor. She wants me to continue college for my degree, and I'll do what she wishes and make her proud...may she rest in peace.

She would've been 61 years old this year...I'll always miss her and how she treated me. Her stories about basketball and those football games she went to were the best ones since my uncle died when I was around 8 years old. I've shed my tears last night and lost my appetite cause of her death...it really did affect me.

As for theories for Wyatt 6, Bray Wyatt has returned on Saturday and gave us a great promo with the QR codes. I guessed it was him as soon as I saw the rabbit, and I was right. I believe he'll reclaim pure gold later on or sooner when 2023 hits and target a person of his interest tonight.

8. Have any comments/tags/responses on a fic of yours ever made you laugh, cry or both?

Hmmm.... I've certainly be really touched by comments, because they just were super nice and kind! Cry, I don't think that has ever happened (maybe when I fully wrapped up New Beginnings but I basically was a wreck already when uploading the final chapter lol), but laugh definitely. I like doing the Evil Writer Gremlin Laughter when people are picking up on plot points I'm working towards or when something plot-twisty something is revealed! Like in Genesis a few weeks ago, where two comments were ONLY curses, I thought that was really funny😂

9. Have you ever made yourself laugh with something you’ve written?

Yep, definitely! I like sprinkling some humour both in my serious fics and my fluffy cute fics; it's not all dark and gloomy in my writing. Though sometimes even with something dark and gloomy humour can be found! The one line I am thinking about right now is coming up shortly in Genesis, that is basically like "“That’s not good, right? That’s bad,” Silver murmured beside her, and in that moment Gold couldn’t help but deeply regret every single life decision she’d made that had led up to this point." But on a funnier note, also in Flufftober, with Silver's explanation of Chao in Space: ""There’s Chao in Space – that’s the original one – which is then followed by Chao in Space II: Perfect Chaos Strikes Back, and then there is Chao in Space III which didn’t get a cool second title, and they also have some spin-off called Chao in Space: The Search for Tikal, but there they changed all the lore established in the first movie and everyone hated it.”" That one is actually based on what little I know of Ninjago!

18. Which is more difficult, the title or the summary?

I hate both

Generally I think summary is a *b i t* more difficult for me. With a longer fic I tend to come up with a title sooner or later based on what happens in it, and with a oneshot I just wing it, but summaries.... ughghghghgh. I've been practicing with the "take a few lines out of your story and put them as summary", since it is the easiest solution!

Behold...the Elemental Compass! Everything my Legacyverse lore precariously rests upon until the Crystalized season prolly blows it out of the water! 

C’mon, it’s me, you knew this part was coming! There are some very light spoilers for, well, a couple of things, so if you’d rather wait to learn things naturally in The Ninja Legacy Whip, turn back now! Otherwise...I guess you’re getting a little sneak peak ahead of time! But really, I just needed all this info in one place lol OKAY HERE WE GO

Backstory: 

Long ago, before time had a name (yet), the FSM journeyed across the other realms in search of a new home where he could live in balance. During his travels, he encountered four magnificent beasts, each possessing a Core Element. From Chima, Ruamoko, the Earth Gorilla. From the Never-Realm, Eirlys, the Wolf of Ice. From Djinnjago, Tawhiri, the Lightning Octopus. From the Realm of Madness, Vulcanell, the Golden Lion of Fire. Recognizing the FSM’s potential, these creatures taught him how command each respective element, enhancing his ability to create (and destroy).

Later on, he happens upon the Realm of the Endless Sea and all its infinite potential (after dealing with a whole Wojira situation), and decides it is perfect for becoming his new home. The FSM ascends up the only land above water in the entire realm, that being the Golden Peaks. From there, he uses his newfound gifts to forge the Four Golden Weapons, allowing him to harness the elements and the essences of life to build a new world, eventually to be known as Ninjago. He then brought to life creatures in his own unique image, eventually to be known as humans, and attempted to pass on his messages of inner balance...which had worked, for a time.

While the FSM had found balance within himself, there was none throughout the realms who could match his power (even if he did use it with benevolent intentions). Due to the presence of this imbalance, the cosmos conjured up something that would keep the FSM in check: that being the Overlord, who began launching attacks on Ninjago almost immediately. Realizing that his people were heavily underprepared for the unexpected threat, the FSM discretely traveled back home to obtain help, and found it in the form of a Dragon named Genesis. 

Genesis did their best to protect all the people of Ninjago, but the Overlord’s might was too great, so the FSM used everything in his power to seal the Overlord on half of the island. Genesis held the Overlord in place as this occurred, resulting in them being trapped on the Dark Island as well. The FSM then split Ninjago in two and sank the dark half into the Endless Sea, where the Overlord would continue to persist, but without threatening the people left on the Light Island. This incident also resulted in the creation of the Element of Time, and could be called “Where Time Got Its Name”, or, “When Time Began”. 

Now understanding how weak the people were in comparison to him, the FSM took several measures: firstly, bringing in his four creature friends from other Realms to help watch over the island with him. He gave Eirlys jurisdiction of the Northern Province, Tawhiri the Eastern Province, Vulcanell the South, and Ruamoko the West. Second, he established the Monastery of Spinjitzu to train people in his ways, giving them methods to protect themselves from other unforeseen threats. Third, he began experimenting with the Elements, combining them in various forms, until he came to discover and master twelve of the Derivative Elements. And then, by combining all four Core Elements, he discovered the most powerful element of all: the Green Element.

Not wanting to keep all that power for himself, especially now that he possessed the Green Element, the FSM sought out sixteen individuals encompassing the traits of the Elements themselves, and passed his knowledge off to them, forging the First Generation of the Elemental Alliance. These individuals were given the task of assisting the FSM in protecting the people, and beginning the grand tradition of Elemental Inheritance for centuries to come. 

However, there were still four other Elements that the FSM had never come to personally master: Time, Water, Wind, and Amber. These Elements were passed on independent of the Elemental Alliance (although the FSM manages to persuade a few of the later inheritors to his cause). These elements were still derived from the Core Four at their heart, albeit faintly. The FSM devised a mechanism to keep track of all these connections, and to pass on the knowledge to generations long in the future. 

The four Outlier Elements received symbols relating to how the FSM discovered them*; the Derivative Elements received symbols based on the Element itself; the Green Element received the symbol of Genesis to honor the dragon’s life-altering sacrifice...and, to honor the Guardians that had gifted him this knowledge in the first place, the FSM made the symbols of Earth, Fire, Ice, and Lightning match those of the Guardians he’d learned them from. 

And that...is how the completed Elemental Compass was born.

(*Amber’s symbol is subject to change depending on what Skylor tidbits we get in the Crystalized season)

General Info:

The Elemental Compass is divided into three tiers: the center piece, the inner ring, and the outer circle. The center represents the Green Element, as it is compromised of the other twenty elements. Directly derived from the Green Element are the Four Core Elements: Earth, Fire, Ice, and Lightning. 

They make up the inner ring, and are the Core Elements because they can come together as one to be equivalent to Green, or divide further into four Derivative Elements each. The outer ring represents these Derivative Elements, each of those directly associated with (at least) one Core Element. 

When combined, the sixteen Derivative Elements have equivalent might to the Core Four...which is also equivalent to the Green Element all by itself. However, the Derivative Elements have never been successfully combined in such a way, due to certain Masters of the Outlier Elements being cut off from the compass. 

Base Compass:

The Base Compass encompasses only the five main elements, and with this, you don’t actually need any of the other versions. This is the most common and easily understood version of the compass—your average individual can find this version used on maps, signs, and other forms of public information. After Wu removed all Elemental info from the world, the public generally just believes this compass reflects the Provinces and their rumored Guardian (which, while there is a kernel of truth there, they’re missing so much of the full story). 

The Green Element is comprised of its four derivatives: Fire, Earth, Ice, and Lightning. While the Green Element can take on any attributes of the Core Four at will, the Core Four cannot utilize the Green Element unless in harmony with one another (via the Tornado of Creation). 

Fun fact, this is also the compass that exists on the floor of the Temple of Light!

(...there’s actually another alternative for this specific version of the compass as well, but that’s not going to make any sense until Season 5, so we’re not gonna talk about it! :3)

Consecutive Compass:

This version is called the Consecutive Compass because it includes all the Elements that the FSM personally mastered, all just from learning and understanding the Core Four Elements. Each Derivative Element exists by combining a dominant Core Element with a bit of another Core Element. For example, adding a pinch of Fire to dominant Lightning will give you the Element of Speed, buuuut adding a pinch of Lightning to dominant Fire will give you the Element of Light (don’t think too hard about it just roll with it). There is one Derivative Element for each potential combination in this manner. 

Earth Sector Derivatives:

Posion (Inheritor Color: Lime): Dominant Earth + Fire; there are many hazardous contaminants out in the Earth + breathing in fire smoke can be noxious. 

Nature (Inheritor Color: Brown): Dominant Earth + Lightning; both are generally seen as forces of nature 

Metal (Inheritor Color: Gunmetal): Dominant Earth + Ice; Ice is water taken solid form, Metal is the same way for Earth (...?)

Ice Sector Derivatives:

Gravity (Inheritor Color: Maroon): Dominant Ice + Earth; gravity keeps us chained to the Earth and Ice...floats? (Listen there’s a reason I want to switch this with Nature—)

Form (Inheritor Color: Violet): Dominant Ice + Fire; both Ice and Fire can take various shapes, sizes, and forms in their existence 

Mind (Inheritor Color: Tan): Dominant Ice + Lightning; Ice already had the Elemental Ability of seeing the future, and someone once said Mind could be related to Lightning due to electrical impulses and neurons or whatever...so, here we are!

Lightning Sector Derivatives:

Sound (Inheritor Color: Teal): Dominant Lightning + Ice; ...not gonna lie, this one kinda got left over, but I connected it to Lightning due to, y’know, thunder

Surprise (Inheritor Color: Pink/Fuchsia): Dominant Lightning + Earth; for similar reasons as Nature, both elements have a capacity for being unpredictable

Speed (Inheritor Color: Alabaster): Dominant Lightning + Fire; both Fire and Lightning are associated with being fast

Fire Sector Derivatives: 

Light (Inheritor Color: Yellow): Dominant Fire + Lightning; again, both Fire and Lightning are known for being sources of Light

Smoke (Inheritor Color: Gray): Dominant Fire + Ice; Ice...gives off a steam...when it is melted...by Fire...?

Shadow (Inheritor Color: Lavender): Dominant Fire + Earth; Fire casts shadows on the GROUND! ...thank god this is the last one...

...anyway, fun fact, this is the compass that Master Chen uses in his Anacondrai ritual come Season 4! This is (partly) why he did not need every single Element in existence present to complete his spell; he just needed all of the ones that are directly connected to the Green Element. 

Completed Compass:

And finally, the Completed Compass! Called that obviously because it’s complete (As far as we know) and includes the Outlier Elements! The Outliers are technically Derivative Elements as well, due to being connected to a Core Element, but their sources originate from places other than the Green Element, and persist outside of the FSM’s intervention. 

Ice Outlier—Water (Inheritor Color: Cyan): The Element of Water is connected to Ice, as a practiced Master is able to manipulate frozen water. While its speculated to have originated from Wave Wojira, who used the element to create the Realm of the Endless Sea in the first place, the first Elemental Master of Water was a Merlopian. This Element happens to be the easiest one to enter NRG Mode with, but also with the highest risk of becoming trapped within it. 

The jewels around its sector are representative of the Wave Amulet. 

This element has not been cut from the Elemental Compass.

Lightning Outlier—Wind (Inheritor Color: Jade): The Element of Wind is connected to Lightning, as both thrive in the thick of a storm, and a Master of Lightning has demonstrated to have utilized wind abilities. This element has also been speculated to originate from Storm Wojira, hence its symbol being reminiscent of Wojira’s head. 

The jewels around its sector are representative of the Storm Amulet. 

This element is currently cut from the Elemental Compass, as its last Master died without letting it inherit to another person, or willingly giving it up to another individual. (This is also what almost happened to the Element of Ice) 

Fire Outlier—Amber (Inheritor Color: Orange/Amber): The Element of Amber is connected to Fire, due to being artificially forged. Amber’s origins are still somewhat shrouded in mystery, but the image of a phoenix was chosen due to the element’s constant ability to reinvent itself. 

The jewels around its sector are reflective of the Essences of Creation and Destruction; as one cannot persist without the other, Amber cannot absorb others if there is no one to absorb. While its potential is incredible, its opportunities for use are also limited. 

This element has not been cut from the Elemental Compass. 

Earth Outlier—Time (Inheritor Color: Power Dependent): The Element of Time is connected to Earth because...that’s what was left lol. It originated when the FSM first freed the Light Island from the clutches of the Overlord, marking the first opportunity humanity was allowed to thrive as just itself. 

The jewels around its sector are representative of the fact Time has experienced an Elemental Split, meaning that its capabilities have been divided. The Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow jewels are all indicative of one divided aspect of Time. (Fun Fact: The Time Twins have heterochromia because of it!)

This element is cut from the Elemental Compass, as its last master(s) abused its powers, and was sealed off from being passed on by becoming trapped within Chronosteel. 

(These four Elements, due to their rather...disruptive properties, have been ironically nicknamed the Four Core Elements of Destruction.)

This version of the compass is the one that was present in the catacombs of the Monastery of Spinjitzu, and can be found within a few pocket-sized versions of the compass (for anyone fortunate enough to happen upon one...)

That OC is Kalypso (Kali) Hallson! She is a revamped version of an old oc that I had but she's taken on a life of her own.

She has an older sister (estranged) named Genesis who is the guardian of Princess Harumi; Genesis is Mr. E in my universe and hates Kali, she sees Kali as the Golden Child that she never could be.

Kali has a younger sister named Penelope (Penny) who lives with their mother, Katherine. Katherine is an inventor who lives in Ninjago City.

Kali lives with the Ninja and is a mother figure to most (she adopts Lloyd); Kali marries Zane and Pixal and they have a very loving happy relationship. Kali is the team medic and one of the best cooks of the team, she loves to draw and paint, or create anything.

Seabound Spoilers Below:

Nya and Kali are best friends and after the events of Seabound, Kali is beyond devastated. Nya was her mechanic and her closest companion. Kai bestows Nya's old bracelet to Kali, and a few days later everyone notices strange things happening around Kali.

Nya has passed on her element to Kali, making her the new Master of Water.

Kali takes this very hard and runs away, she goes to Genesis and Harumi (who survived Hunted, and with Kali's assistance they start a new life in a distant village) and asks Gen to teach her how to fight. Kali afterward goes to Maya and asks her to teach her how to master water.

Kali is accepted by the team as the new Master of Water :)

Finally finished Ninjaverse and one better believe I screamed!!! It was such a fun read! Thank you for the adventure, all the characters were so fun and interesting to read about.

If it’s not much trouble, can I ask what Prime’s universe was like before the Razing? Was it technologically advanced the same way Harumi’s is or was it closer to canon Lloyd’s? (He’s my favorite character so I’m genuinely curious)

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read the entire fic! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with it, it was certainly an amazing thing to write and one that I'm very glad has resonated with you!

To answer your question, I always envisioned Prime's world to be something similar to modern day Ninjago city with some technological advancements. Perhaps a step towards the New Ninjago City we see in Season 3, in a similar way to, say, Neon Genesis Evangelion (a big inspiration for the world). With that being said, much of the technology used in Prime's mech existed in some form before the Razing happened, so I would imagine a very sleek, modern sort of Ninjago City with large hallways, holograms and sweeping machines. I hope that helps!
