look this is a dumb ramble I won’t edit I’m just typing shit out but I haven’t felt the way I feel about jujustu kaisen since… 2015? Like it’s not PEAK brain rot, I don’t feel the way I did in 2011 in the middle of school, but it is like… a ghost of it, I guess? It’s a memory of that intensity. I care… a lot about the characters and the story with a depth I honestly didn’t even know I could still muster. It’s not all encompassing, it’s not sitting right against the core of who I am, but it still feels… deep? Maybe that’s because I only got into it this summer, and it just hasn’t had time to really set it. Maybe it never will, and I’ve just grown past that stage of my life where media can impact me to such a degree. That’s fine! I’ve have a lot of good memories and stories from my relationships with media already. But in all honesty, even with the deep pain and rage of the spoiler I got last night (236 cough fuck), it’s. Nice. Knowing that I can still care and hit into a fandom with even 1/6th the intensity of feeling as I did then. It’s fun, and it reminded me why it felt so good even when things were so bad in the shows. And I’m still looking forward to jjk, even if idk how to process it with what I know is coming.
