( @bsnchez ) sprawled out on flat rock bed by the springs, kaede shielded her eyes from the sun with frog-shaped bucket hat. as she adjusted herself, she spotted brooklyn off to the side. "brooks! come join me and relax! this rock is super warm and i think we're due for a heart to heart." they weren't but kaede was bored.

🤒 FACE WITH THERMOMETER — does your oc get sick easily?

REALLY good question.... by all intents she should be able to get sick I think, but maybe the magic prevents this?? I assume she's have very little defense against any modern bacteria/virus.

🤔 THINKING FACE — what are some of your oc's quirks/mannerisms?

She's relatively clumsy, doesn't emote (no facial muscles to do so!), pretty chill around most things (apex predator without any real fear in the world), and likes to experience new things with her mouth and hands equally. She also clacks her jaw to imitate laughter <3

💙 BLUE HEART — does your oc have any cool/special powers and/or abilities? how are they with magic, if it exists in their world?

She has one of the strongest bites in history (probably) and is on land now! She was brought to live through monsterous magic but didn't seem to inherit any of that herself - she can't make use of it other than being alive and hungry again if that makes sense

🍎 RED APPLE — where was your oc born? do they still live in/around their place of birth or do they live somewhere else? how do they feel about their birthplace?

INitially she was born in the great shallow sea of the devonian period! She got resurrected in France so that may have been somewhat nearby if I'm reading the map right??? She lives in France (slightly fantasy-flavored) in her current iteration! She feels, quite fittingly, like a fish out of water hehe

AND 🔺 RED TRIANGLE POINTED UP — does your oc know how to use any weapons?

She knows how to use her mouth (VERY much a weapon) and her weight pretty well, but her hands aren't quite dexterous enough (yet?? maybe) to know what to do with a weapon. She could for sure figure out a heavy object though!

I'm gonna need a little more clarification Nonnie, do you mean in like a "he looks like a cinnamon roll but could kill you" vibes, or is it "he's cute when he's angry" vibes? Or are you referring to the scene where Terry carries Amy away while she's raging?

motion, stillness, canvas, and texture for brooklyn? :D

OKAY time for these hehehe

motion: How does your OC move? How does their clothing help or hinder their range of motion? Are they flexible, coordinated, clumsy?

Brooklyn is used to moving very slowly and deliberately in the water but is so awkward in a bipedal body that her slow movements end up being clumsy regardless of her caution. She has a worse time with moving in clothes that are more restrictive than a blanket cape but is slowly working on getting used to that as well. She's VERY bulky and not that flexible overall but can definitely maneuver more easily in the water than on land still!

stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?

She's SUPER still when she wants to be! Brooklyn (pre-bipedal form) was a predator at the top of the food chain and used short bursts of speed plus stillness to get her meals, and those instincts still majorly drive her actions at rest. She can't blink (no eyelids!) and has no muscles for facial expression so it's a little eerie! Her idle motions are clacking her mouth/flaring her gills and swaying her tail slowly behind herself, none of which are affected by her usual clothes.

canvas: Does your OC have any scars, piercings, tattoos, or other markings? Do they display or cover them up at all?

Not currently! Brooklyn was Just Reborn and has scale color patterning but no scars, piercings, or tattoos at the moment. She loves the colors of her scales and shows them off whenever she's naked (which is far more than her mother wishes she'd be but Brooklyn could Not Care Less pff).

texture: Does your OC favor any specific kinds of cloth or textures? Is there anything they can’t wear or don’t like? What sort of fabrics do they prefer?

Honestly any texture is fun for her! Hands are a pretty sick thing with the amount of neurons that can sense texture, and even with thick skin on them, she's able to feel them pretty well and enjoys doing so. However she probably wouldn't like heavy fabrics and super pill-prone fabrics, as they'd weigh her down (yuck) and potentially do a really good job of sticking to her scales.
