Summary: Nanami gets jealous after hearing you talk about Howl Jenkins Pendragon so much. fluffy, jealous nanami, nanami x fem!reader, more fluff

It had been years since Nanami watched Howl's Moving Castle. You mentioned the Studio Ghibli Fest where your local theaters are showing different Studio Ghibli movies for the second half of the year and Nanami bought tickets to your favorite movie featuring a huge mechanical moving castle.

The movie started out great... until the character who's name is in the title appeared.

The whole car ride home, Nanami listens to you ramble about Howl. Howl this, Howl that, Howl treated Sophie like this, blah blah blah. Nanami has always loved listening to you speak, he thinks you fill his silence that he himself has never been able to fill. But he will admit, he can do without so much Howl specifically.

Nanami could not remember the last time he sulked so much. He hated to admit it, but he was sulking. Your girlfriend is thinking about another man. Maybe I should let my hair grow a bit. He's not that handsome, I look better... and older. Nanami can't help the invasive thoughts. He's not insecure about anything regarding you or the relationship, but if a man just like Howl existed, would he have a chance against him?

He parks and goes around the car to open your door. You step out and hold his arm as you always do when walking next to him. As soon as you hear Nanami close the front door, you latch yourself onto him and begin to kiss him to Nanami's surprise. You would often initiate kisses but he really needed this one and maybe you could tell?

He gently parts his lips and allows you to take the lead to begin this kiss. Well, it's not like Howl could ever do this or ever see you squirm because of him, Nanami thought. Nobody else can make you giggle or knows exactly how much honey you like in your tea. Nobody else sends you videos that make you fold in the loudest cackling that can sometimes sound like a yodel.

Nanami backs you up to the kitchen counter and lifts you up. He breaks the kiss and gently laughs, "Can I admit something ridiculous?"

You hum against his neck, not stopping your physical expressions of love and pulling him closer to you.

"I was slightly jealous..." he hesitates but continues, "over a fictional character and the effect Christian Bale's voice had on you throughout the movie."

You pepper soft kisses on Nanami's jaw and pull him down to kiss the tip of his nose. You wrap your legs around his waist and look him straight in his eyes, "You shouldn't be too worried," you move your lips to be an inch away from his and whisper, "you're the better blonde."

Nanami laughs and holds your face in his hands to whisper back, "That's my girl."

You giggle in response and Nanami knew he was right about being the only one to make you giggle that way.

Maybe I should get tickets for the next few movies too...

Similar to pile 1 they will have a lot of respect for you and want to treat you like the independent person you are. But they also feel drawn to you when you are sad. It's very nurturing.. Im also picking up that some of your spouses are good communicators and they may have a way with words but for the most part, choose to stay silent and just hold you gently when ur sad. They want you to be at peace when ur with them, they wanna be your oasis in the dessert. I think they realize deep down they really just wanna scoop you up and never let you go from their arms 😢💕. Johan Seong x Reader: friends to lovers

Sorta continuation of: meeting Johan Seong for the first time

You didn't quite believe he would be here. But that unkempt hair, all black getup and general homeless vibe is instantly recognisable.

"HEY JOHAN!" you yell and the figure whirls around to look at you. You can see it takes him a moment to recognise your face.

Fancy meeting him here. Must be a strange twist of fate after expecting to never see him again. He is shifty as hell and isnt the most pleased to see you but a little guilt claws at you when you remember the last time you shared a meal and he ate like he was starved... You invite him along to another meal. Yes yes your treat, and you're immediately met with suspicision.

"Why? You don't owe me anything" "Those perverts could have fucked up my whole life. So what's a meal when I owe you my life?" He thinks about the logic of that for a moment. You are grasping at straws but he agrees anyway.

This kid eats with an unmatched verocity.

You start seeing him again in odd places, like you're strangely drawn to each other. Gangseo, Gangnam, Gangdong. You treat him to a meal each time "you're paying right-" "when have I not paid!"

Finally seeing him in central Seoul again, you are both eating the same black bean noodles as the first time. You decide to ask for his number. "Give me your phone" you hold out your hand. He doesn't move and just glares at you. As if you are some pretty thief, the nerve of this guy. You roll your eyes and ask the waitstaff for a pen. You scribble your number on a napkin.

"No pressure. Just... Give me a call or text when you're around or want to share a meal with someone."

Weeks pass before you receive a text "it's me" and you roll your eyes fondly. Who else but Johan would send that.

There is no reason really for you guys to talk but one day you see a video of a feral cat that reminds you of him. You text him with "lol this u". You don't hear back until later that night. To your surprise he sends you a picture of 2 dogs "eden miro won't like that" "waiT ARE THESE BABIES YOURS?!" "Yes" "OMG I LOVE THEM WHYNDIDNTNY YOY TRLL.ME ABOUT YIUR DOGS!!N!" As if poor Johan could read your excitable response.

But why didn't he tell you? Well you hardly know the guy. There's a lot he hasn't told you.

You start to hear a little more from this enigma. His texting habits are sporadic but he'll also send you pictures now and then of his dogs. You, easily bored, will send him messages 'wyd' (usually ignored), pics of studybooks captioned FML (responded to with ":("), memes ("?? Explain"), or just nonsense about your day ("👍") and then one time he actually texts "not a good day. Food? U pay"

The meals increase in frequency. This goddamn freeloader. And eventually evolve to occasional home hang outs at yours where you can save just a smidge more by opting for take outs. You spend the time schooling him on Mario Kart and educating him on films ("how have you NOT seen these Disney films, have you been living under a rock?!" "...")

More and more frequently, you catch him staring at you with a frown on his face. Maybe he's trying to work you out. Maybe he just thinks you're odd. You shrug. Johan's a weird guy, you're not going to question what he does.

You would have never pegged Johan to be a crier, or for him to be affected by childish movies from Disney or Ghibli. And maybe you should have warned him but going through the classics and watching Bambi's mother being killed off screen triggers a very unwelcome reaction

You hear sniffling and glance over to Johan trying to hold himself back from being upset. "Hey..." You put your hand on his, clenched into a fist and white knuckled. "I'm sorry I didn't- it's ok to be upset" you put your arm round him. "Disney was on some shit back then"

He wipes his face with the back of his hand, and you almost suffer whiplash from the speed he ups and leaves your home.

You go for weeks without hearing from him, your texts left unanswered. One night you hear your phone buzzing and see his name flash up the screen.

Johan's voice is thick with hesitation and anxiety. He pauses often but he eventually tells you about his momma. You ask if you could visit her with him one day and he gives you a maybe.

You're walking back from dinner with Johan and tell him about your classes. You show him a few pictures of you and your friends and he notices a guy with glasses standing closely next to you. "And this is Yeonwoo. He's really smart, he's been helping me with my classes."

You almost miss the glare he gives your phone, then he just huffs and walks off. You yell after him "what's the rush" and he ignores you. You're not stupid, you notice the way he reacted to Yeonwoo and you feel your face grow warm.

You ask him to slow down but instead you're hit with a barrage of questions and insecurity as you struggle to keep up with his pace.

"Why are you hanging with me?" "I like hanging with you"

"You should be spending time with Yeonwoo if he's so good" "I prefer to spend time with you"

"Is that 4eyed bastard your boyfriend" "what are you talking about"

"Do you like him" "why? Are you jealous?"

That stops him in his tracks. He avoids your eyes and stares at the floor but you see the tip of his ears flush red, all the way down to his collarbones

"Johan..." He doesn't react. You reach out to hold his hand in yours. This gets his attention and he snaps his eyes to yours in surprise.

"I actually like you"

Movie Night- CSM

What your fav is choosing for movie night!- Power, Kobeni, Reze, Asa/Yoru, Quanxi(+the gfs), Makima, and Himeno

a/n: first post that i am making from a computer waaaahhh, sorry if it’s bad lol I watched some movies today and i wanted to share what I think some of the characters from CSM would watch! I hope you guys enjoy, also trying to branch out writing some of the characters so there's a bit more in this one i think. Also all movies choosen are just ones that i think they would watch, these are also mostly movies I’ve watched! some of these movie choices suck/are probs overused

POWER:

Power has a very versatile list of movies that she wants to watch every single time

Getting to watch a movie dates are most likely her reward from you for bathing or being good

Power’s pick of a good movie are mostly likely horror movies. The more gorey the better, the more blood shown the better as well.

Always laughing at the horrific scenes

Doesn’t like horror movies where the people have to go through elaborate puzzles to live. Power finds those boring and way to long. (Definitely not disliking Saw)

Power’s go to movie is Texas Chainsaw Massacre! It reminds her of Denji and she likes taking notes of what’s going on then asking Denji if he’s able to do the things that were in the movie.

While watching the movie, Power is really invested! Finds the movies very interesting. Holds Meowy up to see the screen while asking Meowy questions.

“Meowy, don’t you think the movie is interesting? Oh wow! Look at him chopping up that human! Weaklings! I would never be killed in such a way.”

KOBENI:

Kobeni likes movies that have a nice storyline and cute characters!

When she’s able to, Kobeni always choosen a movie that makes her feeling happy! She’s most likely choosing a Studio Ghibli film or a popular romance film!

Howl’s Moving castle is one of Kobeni’s favorite movies to watch on her days off. She likes to be able to be in her pajamas while laying either on the couch or on the bed cuddling with you. Maybe even having a snack or two nearby.

She loves pointing out detail in the scene as well as repeating some of the lines that she knows by heart, though she’ll get embarrassed if you tease her about it.

Kobeni especially loves it when you remember little facts that she tells you about the movie!

“uhh, I know it’s not in the movie, but Sophie.. Sophie actually has powers in novel! I really think they could’ve added it in the movie but I suppose it makes the movie storyline move better. AH! Sorry, I was rambling!”

Kobeni’s favorite character is Turnip Head! She finds Turnip Head helping Sophie along in her adventures adorable!

REZE:

Action Movies with a bit of romance!

While it might be a bit cheesy, Reze likes movies that have both action and some romance. She think it’s nice that throughout all the violence that occurs that the main character and their love interest can still fall in love.

Her top movie of this kinda of movie is Divergent. 

She likes the main character and finds the storyline exciting and interesting.

Definitely read the book series and liked it just as much, maybe even better than movie itself.

Likes explaining niche details in the movie, maybe slightly spoiling the movie/book itself.

“So in this scene, you can see that she’s about to get a tattoo, but your gonna wanna notice the kind of tattoo it is! This will be important for later in the movie and- Heyy (y/nn) are ya listening?”

definitely looks up the actors to see what other movies/shows they’re apart of 

Reze also nit picks certain parts of the movie and how they differ from the book 

ASA/Yoru

Asa doesn’t really watch movies. I see her watching more documentaries than movies.

Likes watching documentaries with you on different topics from oceanic life to ancient greece life.

Doesn’t really talk during these moments you both are watching, but will pause to discuss part of it with you or to correct the speaker about how the information they said was slightly incorrect. (mostly does that during oceanic documentaries)

“I disagree with what they said. While yes you can eat starfish, you have to be careful. A large handful of starfish are poisonous and it’s dangerous to eat them. You can differentiate between them though but that would involve you having to do your own research about such a topic. I don’t see you having to eat those anytime soon, plus if you did-”

Asa is always proud when you praise her for knowing so much. Even offering to teach you a bit more as a study date!

Yoru doesn’t really watch movies or anything but does also like documentaries. Specifically, about weaponry or even wars.

Watching the weaponry documentaries provides her with more ideas for weapons. Likes to also watch the clips of the weapons being made.

War documentaries are a bit different with Yoru though. She oddly proud of them and wishes for you to praise her for them, going so far as to slightly nudge you to hopefully prompt you to compliment such awful events.

“Y’know, I’m the one who cause all of that. Such memorable events came from me! It’s shame that nobody else seems to remember them, ah! But you can boast about how your dating someone so powerful if you wish.”

You might have to explain why those aren’t boastful events even if she pouts.

QUANXI(+the gfs):

Quanxi doesn’t choose what movie is being watched. She usually lets you and the other girls choose. 

However, it isn’t unusually for her to be a tie breaker for a movie. Depending on the movie and her mood, she’ll choose whichever she feels more like watching.

These can range from a horror movie (Cosmo’s choice being Halloween) to mystery movies (Pingsti choice being Where the Crawdads Sing) 

Quanxi usually chooses the movie of whoever she hasn’t been paying more attention to. 

A cuddle pile always occurs during the movies in which almost everyone falls asleep.

Snacks are also always present during these movie nights too. A whole buffet of choices

Quanxi most likely feeds one of the girls and the rest then all ask to be fed there choice of snack

“Eveyone got to eat there snack right? Oh (y/n), c’mere, you got a little somethin’ on your mouth.”

This leads to movie getting completely forgot, sometimes it’s a wonder why a movie night is even held.

MAKIMA:

While a bit of a mystery, one thing that’s for certain about Makima is her love for films.

Makima loves having movies night, especially when you choose then film. She likes to know the reasoning behind your choice. 

Are you sad or mad? Perhaps in a mood for laughs? Romantic movies perhaps you wish for something to happen throughout the movie?

Whatever the reason is, Makima enjoys watching you pick movies.

Makima usually chooses films that might make no sense or that have an artsy way of videography. Though she usually doesn’t say anything or show much emotion during the film

Makima doesn’t really have a favorite film. She likes ones that can make her feel emotions that she might not normally.

A film I believe Makima might genuinely like is Titanic. While an old movie and probably over used movie, it still has a nice storyline and pretty visuals.

“This movie is quite interesting. Were you interested in the romantic aspect of the film or perhaps the tragedy that was the boat sinking? Truly an interesting event, yes?”

Whatever the movie choice is, Makima is sure to even slightly enjoy even if it isn’t something she likes or usually watches.

HIMENO:

On the days that Himeno isn’t working or out drinking with her friends in the division, Himeno enjoys watching movies all day in her pajamas while eating either take out or whatever she has in her house with you.

She always welcome a nice laugh, so comedy movies are definitely her favorites.

Himeno especially likes movies that feature Adam Sandler

Whether that be Grown Ups or Hotel Transylvania, she doesn’t mind.

Loves quote random lines even if the lines are cringey.

Will probably watch any/all comedy movies the she can get her hands on. As long as she can get a good laugh she’s fine with it!

Definitely calls you to tell you that she bought five new movies that you both just have to watch right that moment.

“ Okay so before you come home, head to the convivence store near our place and buy an assload of snacks, OH! And drinks, can’t forget those, No need to grab any beer, i think there’s already some in the fridge. See you at home, ‘kay?”

Overall, Himeno is probably chill with whatever kind of movie you want to watch, but prefers things with comedy or atleast a comedic relief.

Hello! If it’s not too much to ask, could you do a Hobbit/LotR matchup for me???

My name’s Liv, I’m non-binary (they/them, but occasionally she/her or he/him depending on the vibe). I’ve got curly brown hair in an anime boy type hairstyle, hazel eyes, and glasses. I usually end up dressing business casual for work, but I also like flannel shirts and band shirts paired with leggings or jeans. I LOVE reading and getting books (and I work at a library so it absolutely does not help my obsession lol), and I love Studio Ghibli movies and Old Hollywood horror films! I am also obsessed with history and am actually going to grad school for it! I’m typically a bit quiet and tend to really focus in on something, but when I’m comfortable with a person I love to tell them about stuff I really enjoy. I love listening to music, and at present it’s been mainly kpop and rock, and also Ghibli soundtracks. I do have really bad anxiety and depression, and it’s a bit hard to get me out of my head when I’m in a thought spiral. But people have called me sensible in the past when it comes to providing advice about situations other people are experiencing, even though I clam up a lot about my own problems and worry a lot about bothering people and being a burden. I absolutely adore cats and would love to get one someday! I also like collecting crystals and trying out new things to cook (like lately I’ve been trying out Korean and Japanese recipes).

Frodo!

Our dear hobbit first lays eyes upon you in the bookshop, of course. You're there poring over a history tome he's never seen touched, straightening your spectacles and flipping the page to the next war account. You peer up, glasses sliding a bit down your nose as your hazel eyes meet Frodo's and you give a small smile. He is so used to encouraging others to take the first step- maybe it's his turn. Approaching you, he asks you what your interest is in that particular history and ends up spending the rest of his time in the shop there with you.

From that he learns you weren’t even there for war histories, merely getting distracted on your quest for a book on identifying crystals from your collection. Helping you find it, Frodo asks if you frequent this town, hoping so for it is right outside the Shire and Bilbo tends to run the odd errand there. Sure enough, that is you home no less, and with a smile the hobbit suggests you might show him around beyond the shop sometime. The shock on your face is quite adorable as you agree and offer to take him to your favorite spot.

Said favorite spot being a nook at the end of the river hidden away behind a collection of wide green trees. “I come here to read,” you tell the hobbit, “if you ever want to join, you can. Just keep it a secret, alright?” You wink and Frodo thinks he might spontaneously combust. Join he does, though, bringing stacks of books from Bag End he thinks you might enjoy. He starts trading you old books for your library job for the stones you find or even goodies you’ve baked up. All of the Shire are positively foaming to meet this infamous Liv and get their hands on some of their exotic treats, but Frodo never gives up your little secrets…

It is behind those very trees where you share your first kiss, Frodo surprising you with a different offering: a rose quartz piece Gandalf had given him some years back. Arching a shy brow, you ask him if he has ever heard the significance of this stone, and flushing, he nods. As if tugged in by a string you two are moving in sync, lips meeting behind the cover of waving branches. Frodo’s hand snakes ever-so-shyly around your waist and you can hardly help smiling into the kiss. Heads may shake as he walks hand in hand with you down Shire lanes, but he’s a Baggins- what else do they expect? The smile of amusement and pride across his face has you shaking your own head, but fondly, lovingly.

After the destruction of the One Ring, Frodo is different. You understand. Both of you know intrinsically the feeling if a spiral, even the look of its onset, and what the other needs. Silence, space, a warm touch, weight, a distraction, an embrace. Whatever the answer, Frodo only cracks a smile in those moments when that sensible caring side of you he loves so much comes out. After all, it is amazing how giving you are especially during your own fights. When darkness is closing in, you are his reminder that there is light and good in the world, just like Sam. When depression takes you, he can only hope his approach is half as good, half as inspiring. Giving up is so tempting, but in the face of a loved one, both of you realize there is hope you cannot yet throw away. Even if it is something small as feeling each other’s lips upon your forehead again or the easy way your limbs tangle as you read together, life is worth fighting for. Frodo may have saved Middle-Earth, but you, Liv, saved him.

heyy i was wondering, since we already know Cam really likes music (especially kpop), if we could know what the other characters' taste in music is like? mostly how often they listen to it, what genres they like and whatnot. just out of curiosity :)

and what about movie genres? we know Deja and MC often watch movies together while Deja paints her nails, but does she care for the genre? and everyone else?

Music Tastes

Haha now for your ask, we actually have a scene for players in the extended demo regarding this! It's a bit of a spoiler in the context of the scene's theme so I won't disclose it quite yet (sorryyyy gotta wait for the extended demo first ahdakldh) but I can say this:

Elio and Cameron often listen to music. For Cameron, it's because it's one of their favorite pastimes. Plus, in their opinion, music makes the commute to and from campus faster.

Elio on the other hand listens to music a lot because of the dance team. Anddd because he's dabbled a bit with playing (if others haven't seen the previous post yet, he's our guy with a ton of skills so he actually knows how to play a couple of instruments).

Though they've got their reasons, Cameron's definitely coming out on top with the highest stats on their Spotify wrap.

Third would be Reynah and actually you don't get to learn about her favorite type of music since she's not in the scene so I will disclose her favs! She's big on old school music, early late 1980's and early 1990's! Anything goes within that time frame, hip-hop, pop, rock, ballads, etc.. She does listen to modern music, but she's got a couple of fond memories of her parents playing older tunes during car rides so they've stuck with her.

Deja, Percy, and Jamie have their favorites of course but their numbers don't come as close to the other three.

Speaking of music, we curated some playlists about the cast! Some players already came across the playlists on our art director's Spotify that is catered to the idea of them, so songs that give off Cameron, Deja, etc. energy. And I actually got to work on making playlists about the music they'd listen to.

You can listen to the first since it's public. This is what the some of the dev team members listen to for the Keyframes vibes when we're working! And you can check out their page for specific cast members. But I'll share the ones about their music taste when I get them done!

Movies/Media Taste

Oh movies is a cute thought!

Unfortunately, Deja doesn't care to watch movies, hence why she opts to do her nails during it. She's got a habit of looking things up ahead of time as well so "watching" isn't something she likes to do. Cameron's got their favorites when they're by themself but they're big on anything and everything with company! Ghibli movies are a good thing to shout to get their attention (they've seen Ponyo like too many times to count haha). Cringey stuff are a safe and hilarious genre for them to put on when they crash at your place, too.

But since MC is a part of their dynamic trio, a lot of what Deja and Cameron watch is ultimately shaped by MC's likes too! Since Deja doesn't have too much of an opinion and Cameron's down to watch anything, your likes are their likes! Granted they'll tell you if it's reallyyyy bad because that's what friends are for lol

Reynah's not too big on films either- but in the way that she just doesn't watch them by herself. Usually, it's other people inviting her to watch one, and she's always happy to tag along and share any opinions about the viewing (they're usually in good light if not critical). That being said, she does have her favorites! It's just hard to say she likes one genre when she hasn't seen everything and she's found gems across multiple genres.

Reynah, at some point probably: I love Night at the Museum, does that mean I like fantasy or comedy the best? Nope!

For the guysssss, you can expect foreign movies (Japanese, Thai, and Euro movies are often exchanged since they've got their favorites from childhood), and romcoms and early '00-'10 movies. The latter is because they firmly believe that's the best era of movies. Home Alone, Lord of the Rings, 27 Dresses, The Last Holiday, etc, etc.

Aha yeah, Jamie didn't grow up watching the same things they did. He knows some of them like LOTR but that's just because it's a big franchise. Before his roommates educated him on early American romcoms and feel good movies (which included an HSM marathon and the entire soundtrack on repeat at their place), Jamie stuck to the classics/big names- things that have left a mark in cinema history like the Godfather and the Breakfast Club.

That kind of media is actually what he, Deja, and Reynah bond over. It's the symbolism or the overarching theme that tends to keep their interests so they'll have discussions about it if it comes up. Ah, and, horror. All three of them are completely unbothered by it as a genre and boy are there plenty to talk about the human psyche and behavior there.

If I had to summarize everything:

Jamie, Deja, and Reynah like films that invoke thought. Especially as people who don't often watch movies.

Meanwhile, Cameron, Percy, and Elio are all for the ones that evoke emotion. It's a good movie if they cry. It's a good movie if they're shouting at the screen. It's fantastic film if they get to do both!

Other things about movies for them:

Percy won't watch any horror- nope don't even think about asking him to.

Elio will look at a stunt or a choreography in a film and attempt it himself at least once.

Jamie is the first in his seat with a bowl of popcorn when the guys are doing their movie nights. He also has a sour view of Howl from Howl's Moving Castle since some people have said he looks like the character.

Cameron would suggest repeats a lot during your movie nights- their favorites are their favorites for a reason.

Deja rarely reacts to movies- but she will never recover from Grave of the Fireflies.

Reynah, freshman year, had been invited to 18 different playtimes at the town's cinema over the course of two months and, yes, she saw all of them.

ALRIGHTY so getting right into it, pompeiis eruption was mainly just ash and dust falling down on the city, along with some pumice etc. it covered the city so thickly that even people who stayed inside died.

but that's not all. the dust rushing down the mountain, called the pyroclastic surge, got superheated. i can't remember the exact number but it was big. think burning upon impact.

speaking of the heat of the pyroclastic surge, it was so hot that the people standing in the streets immediately evaporated all the water in their bodies, and that's why they were all curled up on the ground, the heat caused their muscles to contract. cool, huh?

☆ Funky little intro post ☆

Hoi! Since more people have been interacting with my blog and fics lately so I decided it's time to do an little intro post. Introductions are always something I put off bc I'm bad at them (as you can probably tell) so we're just going to roll with it. ☆ My name is Rose (internet alias ig), or Yiv (shortened version of my irl name) doesn't really matter which one you use either work. You can also refer to me as my user if you wish to. I go by he/him pronouns! I am a 19-year-old student from the Netherlands. I also have autism, which is just something I like to tell people to be upfront lol.

I am currently extremely fixated on Just Dance (like brainrot level) so thats the thing I really only post about, it's my hyperfixation and I get to post on tumblr about it, but I do have other intrests. Here are some of the other things I like: I'm an artist and (now also) a writer. I'm intrested in things like folklore and fairytales but am also really into history. I play D&D and I really like cartoons and ghibli movies. I love ghibli movies. I also really like musicals and have a pretty varied music taste. I'd say my current favourite artists are: Hozier, Sophie Powers, and Palaye Royale!

You wish your feelings and actions were like the movies. Not usual and simple movies but Studio Ghibli movies.

Where life is green and full of passion, where even the most silent moments are filled with beautiful melodies and heartwarming lights and sounds.

Your life is grey.

It always has been, sometimes a hint of yellow or red appeared but eventually it retorned to the old and boring grey. That one where even the parts where light hits, it's still dark.

Even the prettiest pieces of art, the colorful Van Gogh ones were out of life and the Monet ones, were out of love.

Maybe you've been to drowned on the dark shade of grey, to see that hint of white in the corner. The one where sits in the hidden place inside that sweet corner of room called library. One that stays inside pretty eyes, one that follows a unknown sweet melody.

That one where stays and belongs in the prettiest eyes and the kindest heart.

One which steps are light and laughs are loud, which holds gorgeous warmth and shyly says

"Hi, are you going to pick this book?" Shiny brown iris gaze at your direction and suddenly, there's color in your world. A different tone of blue lives in the corner of the highlights in his eyes. He stares for some seconds before repeating himself.

It could be your extreme heartbeat or your delusional mind but it feels real. You feel the melody, you even hear the faint voice of Kenshi Yonezu in Spinning globe, just that Studio Ghibli spark that was missing in your life.

Studio Ghibli, it's Studio Ghibli, it echoes in your head.

"What?" With confused expression, you realize you spoke out loud, and too into your dreamland, you say it again.

"Hm.. it's Studio Ghibli" his eyes move between you and the book where your fingertips meet.

His chuckle is low but it makes you high

"I mean, i- It's written Hayao Miyazaki... And it's my-" he's blushing and embarrassed when you mumble a "ah, I know it too"

It feels so awkward, it feels so real and dreamy at the same time. You're so into it that Lana del Rey is long forgotten in your ear buds.

You've never believed in love at sight but now you understand, you just didn't had the right sight.

"Yea, it's my favorite" he cuts the silence with a shy smile, which you return gladly. He has a beautiful smile.

"Mine too." His eyes go big and his grin turns more impossibly perfect. His hands trace the book as he word that same sentence once again "Are you going to pick it?" You take the last ear bud left and Let the light in fades in the air, but you don't care, you need to hear him better.

"It's just cause, i've been looking for it for a while cause apparently Howl's moving castle only sells at specific places and I had to basically cross entire Seoul to find a place to buy this book and I just desperately need it. I really do but I understand if you wanna buy it cause you've touched before and I have a rule, so i would understand if you wante-"

"You can keep it." You cut his rumbling with a kind smile. His eyes went bigger than before and he's obviously trying to hold his excitement, which you find it adorable.

"Are you sure?" There's concern in his voice and you brush it off shaking your hands in his direction

"yea." He nods as he takes the book in his hand and there's a sudden warm in your fingertips, making you realize you were still holding it.

His nails are painted, some designed with tiny hearts, adorable just like his heart shaped smile, growing bigger by the second as he thinks about reading the book back in home.

"Thank you, really"

"It's okay" he taps the cover drumming some unknown rhythm for you right now. "I'm Jisung by the way" you divert your eyes from his hands to meet his piercing gaze and galaxy eyes "Han Jisung"

Your hands sweating when you offer it to him, you really hope he doesn't notice it. "I'm ______"

Gosh.

The gaze he has on you, like he's drinking you in, feeling your presence and marking your name in his head.

You feel really delusional, everything's very delusional now.

Except, you don't notice his shy smile when you bid goodbye and turn around, returning your ear buds to where they belong and leave, without knowing that he heard it too.

Cause his world could never be more blue, however, the moment the saw you, a different color came in his life. A unique shade of grey, a precious one, for him.

And you didn't noticed, how when he touched your hand and heard your voice, Lana's melodies echoed in his mind, and suddenly, his navy and dark blue world had a different light. When you smiled to him and said your name, you might've noticed how he stared at you, letting your light in, letting your watercolor drop sting in his canvas, marking you in his soul.

You noticed some things.

But you didn't noticed how he drummed the song you were hearing, or how he was longing to touch your hand and how your warmth affected him.

You both used to say you didn't believe in love at first sight, until you saw it.

He was glad to open the first page and find your number on it. He doesn't know when you put it there and neither does you however, the hopeful feeling that fills his heart is more than enough to make him go home with the book in his hands and a grin in his face.

And when reality was hitting you again, your phone vibrates in your hand.

I have a day off today, so I’m ducking in to tell y’all a little bit about how things are going!

I’ve taught my first classes! Most of them I’ve had another teacher assisting me, but yesterday I did my first solo class. It was... okay lol. One of the boys disengaged the moment I said I don’t speak Japanese so they have to speak English, and proceeded to yawn audibly through all activities and pretend to be asleep when spoken to (which I put on my lesson report form, so the regular teacher will hopefully tell him off haha).

On that note... Japanese kids really are like any other kids. Everyone said to me before I went, “ohhh I bet Japanese kids are so well-behaved and respectful!” I can assure you they are not lmao. Some are, others are little terrors.

I’ve had some really wholesome moments. The other day during one of the younger classes this one boy (~3 years old) was mostly a little terror, running around all the time and hiding in the corner. But then during story time he sat in my lap and directed me to hold him. Then later in the lesson he went and hid in the corner again, so I went over to him and asked if he was okay. And he just snuggled into me, so we spent the rest of the class like that.

So far 4-5 year-olds are my favourites to teach. You can be so fun and silly with them! Sure, they don’t want to sit down and do things, but I’ve found some useful hacks already (pro-tip: if you let them rub things off the whiteboard or draw a shape for answering questions correctly, they’ll suddenly be very, very attentive)

I enjoy this kind of teaching a LOT more than teaching on italki. The lesson prep I have to do is minimal and all time outside of teaching is my own, basically. Not to mention it’s much more active and I don’t spend my life hunched over a desk!

Speaking of free time, I spend most of it studying languages and it’s awesome!

My Japanese level is definitely improving. My speaking not so much, but my comprehension for sure. The kids do speak Japanese in class, both to each other (obviously) and to me, and I’m rapidly getting used to certain words and speech patterns.

I can also now more or less get through interactions at train stations and konbinis! I even managed to ask a police lady for directions the other day (go me being so panicked about being late for my train I didn’t even care that my Japanese was broken af. Literally like, if I don’t at least try to speak Japanese rn I’m going to miss my train and be late for my classes)

I’ve learned that despite being in the country, active studying is really important. I’ve not learned anything through pure osmosis; I’ve only learned through active studying and then having the immersion reinforce it. So yes, my level is improving because I’m in the country and surrounded by the language, but I have to put in the effort first.

Also, the general level of English in Japan is not high. I’ve been spoilt by travelling around Europe where I can usually find someone who speaks broken English well enough to help me if I’m stuck (or if not then I can communicate in broken French/German/Spanish), and coming to Japan and being lost at a train station and literally not being able to communicate is a HUGE motivation to get good at the language quick!

I LOVE Yamagata! There was a snowstorm the day after I moved in and I feel like I live in a winter wonderland. I can see the mountains almost everywhere I go in the city. It’s not a busy city, and every train ride makes me feel like I’m in a Studio Ghibli movie. I love it I love it I love it.

I also love the dialect here! It’s easy to understand and it’s kinda musical!

My personal supervisor (PS) is awesome and has been super helpful. I’m so grateful! A lot of people from my training course have said that their PSs haven’t given them much/any orientation, whereas mine helped me set up my internet and a Japanese bank account as well as went over my schedule with me and ensured I did at least a week of teaching with someone else in the classroom before I was on my own.

I’ve only met 3 of my colleagues, but they’re all nice. One of them lives in my block and we’ll teach together for two days next week. Another of them loves the snow and the cold as much as I do, and I think we’ll get on super well.

My flat is tiny. It’s basically one room! But it has loads of storage space and being as small as it is means it’s super easy to heat (which is fortunate, because it was -10ºC the other night).

The tap water tastes great! In Nagoya it tasted so fucking weird I couldn’t even drink it. But here it’s awesome.

I’m enjoying trying new things! I’m going through all the different candies/chocolate brands at konbinis and supermarkets and I’ve hardly had the same thing twice since I got here (including bento). This is super different to how I was in the UK, where I was stuck in a routine and knew what I liked and didn’t want to go out of my comfort zone.

So yeah, I went from crying and wondering if I’d made a huge mistake the first 2-3 days of being here to absolutely thriving less than a month later. I’m so happy right now, truly living my dream, finally able to flourish and grow in a way I always knew deep down I could.

Regressor Rohan Kishibe Headcanons!

Wanted to write them down for a looong time and I finally did! Also set somewhere between diu and tskr??? Idk honestly

💚Rohan started regressing at 16, right after his manga got published. At first it was quite surprising (and embarassing) for him, he didn't know what was happening to him. Even after doing research about age regression he still wouldn't really tell anyone about his coping method - anyone who eventually found out did it by complete accident. Although currently only a few people know about his regression, they are all really supportive (Morioh is full of kiddos and you can't convince me otherwise lol)

💚His age range is 1-6 years old. He regresses mostly involuntarily, but sometimes he'll do it willingly just to relax a bit, usually after several hours of work. He has a special little corner in his studio in case of suddenly regressing - it has a soft blanket, some toys and pillows

💚He doesn't have a cg, but sometimes he lets others babysit him. Koichi is always eager to help Rohan after school (although Rohan usually won't ask because of his pride). They also have playdates together when they're both small

💚His other babysitter is Kyoka! She's very blunt when it comes to his regression, asking him if he's small at random moments. Sometimes she basically drags Rohan over to his baby corner when she sees he's overworking himself

💚Baby Rohan is a very creative kiddo. He loves coloring, drawing and finger painting. He has a big set of art supplies for children as he tends to be quite clumsy and usually makes a mess and/or breaks something - and that something won't be his luxurious overpriced pen!

💚He needs to be supervised while making art though, he gets so carried away that he starts drawing on walls, floors and even himself

💚If he's too tired to draw, he likes watching cartoons! He appreciates different artstyles and is the biggest "cartoons are not just for kids" believer. He especially likes mlp and ghibli movies

💚He has a lot of plush dolls and loves playing with them. He gets all kinds of tiny fashionable clothes for them and runs pretend fashion shows! Sometimes he even does tea parties (top secret!) (Josuke isn't invited.)

💚Rohan is way more sensitive when in baby headspace. He gets overwhelmed easily and usually doesn't even know what caused it. The best way to help him is to give him his comfort item (like a favourite toy) and let him cry it out! This dude need a good cry!

💚He's also suprisingly easily to spook... He may be a horror writer, but he's not immune to his own genre lol

💚His biggest fear are windows. He cannot sleep next to them or stand too close when he's small - it reminds him of that night with Reimi. All windows must be closed and babyproofed!

💚Rain is scary to him for the exact same reason (dripping noise...), soft music and his dolls usually helps him calm down during storms

💚He absolutely loves baths. Won't leave the bathtub for hours, has all kinds of fancy soaps, shampoos and bathbombs... and uses them mercilessly to create "potions" or do his "selfcare routine" which is just pouring random liquids all over himself. Also, bath crayons are obviously a hit with him, he'll use half a box per bath though

💚Soooo fussy about bedtime, he often has trouble relaxing enough to take a nap. He may throw a tantrum because he's actually too tired to fall asleep. When he's in baby headspace, the best solution is swaddling! Koichi unfortunately isn't able to help Rohan with that - he's a teenager, he can't swaddle properly, let's be honest - so they just cuddle when they are both small and fall asleep together, often with other Morioh littles too! Kyoka on the other hand did excessive research and is a swaddling pro, she can stop Rohan's sleep deprivation fit in seconds by wrapping him like a baby artist burrito

while its a banger track, i cant help but feel like the lyrics relate to them a ton. even through translations it’s still easy to read the song as something chan would sing to y/n, asking and telling them at the same time that they’re so cold. there’s a lyric that goes “your lips are purple like the flowers i’ll never buy you” (apologies if that’s mistranslated) and honestly? chan would definitely still buy those flowers for them, but maybe a part of him hesitates still considering y/n’s antics. he doesn’t know if they’ll be extra mean to him about it. your scenario hurts, too: chan would finally muster up the courage to ask them why they treat him this way even if he knows they’re confused with their feelings for him, but…maybe it leads to them opening up to each other, them navigating through their own feelings out of mean sex for once, and ends with a confession from the reader, who knows :D
