As a general rule, though, my preference for fanfiction is short(ish) canon-compliant one-shots. I decided to scroll through my bookmarks to see if I had anything that really truly stood out to me as a "favourite" and here's what I've got for you:

three by Lavendelshampoo - Ushiten fic, where Tendou/Ushijima have a fwb relationship despite Tendou being convinced Ushi is in love with Oikawa. Its technically rated E and is tagged for smut but I honestly don't remember it being super explicit (certainly not gratiutious) but I could be totally wrong about that lol. Proceed with caution.

How To Fall In Love in Three Days (or Less) by vincentvandope - Arankita fic in which, if I remember correctly, Aran tells Kita's grandmother they're dating to make her feel better, and then has to tell Kita that his family now thinks they're dating. fake dating shenanigans ensue. It's got really strong family dynamics and friends-to-lovers and honestly is sort of just everything I love about fanfics. (Strong canon-compliance with tons of headcanons and added extra). Its so cute and they're dorks the whole time.

Grey Sweatpants by Sarahsays999 - this is a matchablossom fic (sk8 the infinity) and gets an honourable mention here bc you said favourite fanfics and this is my first ever bookmarked and my first ever subscription and to this day I am upset that it was (has appeared to be) abandoned and I long for it's return because I really heckin enjoyed it. Barely remember the plot. Joe is taking care of Cherry post-injury and there is tension (not the canon injury it had been published before that lol)

I also remember reading, before I got my ao3 account, a daisuga fic where Suga agrees to go with Daichi on a morning run to impress him, and then spends the next few pages wanting to die but refusing to admit it because he is Trying To Impress. - He's probably stubborn about it too— he insists he's fine and doesn't need a 'sappy hug' but will melt into your arms the second you wrap them over him

- I headcanon Reki to be dyslexic so this fits him for me HARD

- Nobody would tell him because they thought he was joking/found it endearing and it just became his trademark

- Halloween has never been his thing since he gets scared easily, and one of his love languages is giving gifts so Christmas is his favorite holiday

- He probably handmakes the gifts in his workshop too, as well as some of the ornaments scattered across their house every December

- To connect it to the last hc, this most often happens in December when he's scramblig to finish everyone's gift

- But he does have a very messed up sleep schedule and is almost always awake during midnight, doing work or anything else that interests him at the moment

- He'd call Reki just to ask him why there are no shirts in the soup store, and Reki has long given up on explaining that you CANNOT buy clothes. At a soup store.

Hi how are you fine I hope,...umm do you have a list of Manga or Anime that I could read or watch? If you have a list to start off with on your blog I would greatly appreciate. I used to read manga all the time but life happened so if you don't mind thank you...Happy Holidays.

I'm still new and haven't seen so much! Here is what I'll do, I'll give you a list of what I've seen and what I thought about it though!! It'll go like this:

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (anime): SO GOOD. It was the second anime I watched ever and it's what really got me hooked. Lol it's just pure good solid story telling and is just truly amazing in every way. I love it so much

Ouran High School Host Club (anime): it was fine. Lol good moments, funny moments, cute moments. Lots of weird ass tropes that I didn't love lol. Good palate cleanser but not my favorite and not one I continued to really spend time thinking about after

Demon Slayer (anime & manga): a new obsession after I watched it. I had to then go read it because I was obsessed with the story and couldn't wait. The most beautiful animation too. Tragic and hopeful and amazing. Made me cry a few times and does flashback so well lol

Yuri on Ice (anime): so good. So cute. So gay. I have posts on this anime on here from when I was watching it. Lmao I'll just link that here. I'm still obsessed.

Spy x Family (anime & manga): I actually read the manga first and then found the anime and it's just so wholesomely wonderful in every aspect. I love the story so much. I love the romance. The slowburn is so slow is painfully good. I ship it SO HARD. The domestic family life of a Spy, assassin and telepath is everything I didn't know I needed

Buddy Daddys (anime): 2 dude (they make a good ship too honestly lol) assassins accidental baby acquisition. It's as funny as it sounds with some surprisingly dark and sad and emotional backstories and moments. Just a really great time. Short and quick watch too. Link to my rec post too

The Yakuzas Guide to Babysitting (anime): it was okay. Lol cute and fun but nothing that stuck with me. Found this one off my Spy Family and Buddy Daddy's high while looking for something similar lol

The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague (anime): cute and fun but man some of the episodes dragged and were a little slow. The romance was just okay too but had some really adorable moments

Sasaki to Miyano (anime): SO CUTE. God the whole premise is the BL romance and the slow burn is soooo slow but istg. The tropes are so good too. The importance to consent is beautiful. Literal BL tropes all over the place as the MCs is a BL fan and introduced his LI to BL lol my rec post here. And my post over a clip of the new movie too.

A Silent Voice (anime movie): excellent movie. Sad as fuck. I cried so much. Lol all the trigger warnings though. Please read the trigger warnings

Your Name (anime movie): excellent movie. I still think about it all the time. I just read a book that pulled inspo from this movie. I had tears STREAMING DOWN MY FACE at the end.

Sk8 the Infinity (anime): so good. So wholesome. So gay (it's canon gay, fight with the wall, I don't care lol) just a little show about skateboarding. Who knew it would be SO GOOD. My rec post. My matchablossom brain rot post

Naurto, Naruto Shippuden (anime): OBSESSED. I watched this show with my partner as part of his "I'm introducing you to anime" series he has for me. Lol and clearly he was going to introduce me to the classics. Yes One Piece and Bleach are on his lists for us to watch together too.

Haikyuu!! (anime & manga): Look, with this being the 3rd sports anime I watched, I'm convinced all sports animes create so many ships low-key on purpose. Lmfao in all honesty though, it's so good. Never in my life would I have imagined getting so invested into volleyball. But here I am.

Jujutsu Kaisen (anime and I'm starting the manga now too): IM SO OBSESSED ITS NO LONGER FUNNY AND THIS SHOW IS SO MEAN LATELY. I had to go buy the manga because I CANNOT HANDLE WAITING FOR NEW EPISODES OH MY GOD. WISH ME LUCK READING I GUESS My post

Bungo Stray Dogs (anime): I started this show for Dazai. Found him on TikTok. Stayed for the weird ass powers and the absolute utter nonsense that is this whole world. Nothing makes sense and we are all just here for the vibes. Yes I fucking love it, thanks lmfao My post

Link Click (donghua): started this on a whim because I got a random rec video on my algorithm and found it on Crunchyroll and I was told it was gay. There is so little gayness in the grand scheme of this show I felt so unprepared for what it was. Lmao I have never in my life had a show hit me so hard in my emotions off the bat EVERY SINGLE TIME. BUT ITS SO GOOD?? I told my husband I start each episode going "so how are you making me cry this time link clink??" The twists twist so hard it hurts, but in a way I love. I need the next season like now. my God.

Blue Eye Samurai (anime sort of): my NEWEST obsession. I NEED SEASON 2 PLEASE. I said sort of about anime because it is animated and it's set in Japan, but it's not from Japan so it's not really an anime.... Lol but it's on Netflix. It's not for children. And it's so good. Go watch it. Only 8 episodes. The story is immaculate. My post

Inuyasha (manga): read the manga and thoroughly enjoyed myself as a super fast and fun read!! Really just there a good time lmao

Yona of the Dawn (manga): SO CUTE and yet intense too. My sister put me on this one as one of the first manga series I started reading and I just ate it all up. If we ignore some of the weirder tropes it throws at you in the beginning, it's just fabulous lol I love it

Mo Dao Zu Shi (donghua): read the books, watched the donghua, watched the live action too lol. The brain rot is SO REAL. Like these characters live rent free forever. Thanks. Hunter x Hunter (anime): I am watching this one now and have been for a little bit. This is the current one I'm watching with my partner in his list of animes he wants to introduce me too. I'm having SO MUCH FUN with this one but I also am hurting a little. Lol yes he warned me about the ants. Yes I'm not having fun with this arc. Thanks for asking. I can report back when we finish 😂

And for those who will want to know yes, I've got lots on my list to still watch and work through. Lol I'm always open to taking more suggestions though too!!

Forgot To Lock The Door

Hey, I'm also doing sk8 the infinity agere stuff! I haven't watched it in a while though, so i may get some things wrong. please tell me if i do!

The school day was extremely long. Reki just wanted to go home. He was so exhausted. Everything was so boring and he just felt depressed. He needed to mentally prepare if he was going to go to S tonight. So before Langa could even meet up with him, he was already riding his skateboard home. 

Right when he entered his house, his mom was in the kitchen baking cookies. She greeted him but he barely said anything back. Reki went straight to his room and threw his bag in the corner and shut the door.

You could say Reki wasn’t your “normal” teenage boy. Sure he was a skater and “cool” dude, but that all hid his weakest side. His little side. Reki was an age regressor. He acted young when he needed to cope.

Since the day tired him out so much, he was feeling very small. Going on all fours, he reached under his bed and pulled out a diaper and backpack. His bladder tended to weaken when he was regressed and he did not want to risk having any accidents. Plus the padding was super comfy! He dug through his bag and pulled out his stuffed bear and paci.

Reki hugged the stuffed bear and put the pacifier in his mouth. Next came putting on his diaper. He wasn’t the best at this. One side was always tighter than the other. But he tried his best.

Once he was finished, he took out his tech deck and began playing with it, doing cool tricks. It was very relaxing and helped him a lot. 

After he began to become bored of the tech deck, he got out his crayons and some paper. He drew a picture of him and Langa skating together. Then he drew some cartoon characters and small doodles.

Suddenly, he saw the doorknob begin to turn. He had forgotten to lock his doors. He tried to get up to hold it shut, but tripped on his own feet and fell.

“Reki? Are you okay?” Langa. Luckily, he stopped opening the door when he tripped.

“Uh yeah! I’m fine!” he answered back nervously after spitting out his pacifier. 

“I don’t believe you. You forgot to meet up with me after school, you never forget,” Langa said. He truly was worried.

“I’m fine, Langa! Go away!” Reki got up to go lock the door but Langa opened it, seeing Reki with his padded butt, teddy bear, and pacifier clipped to his hoodie. Langa gasped out of shock, not expecting to see his boyfriend like this.

“Babe, what’s going on? Why are you dressed like this?” He questioned. Reki stood like a deer in headlights before he broke down crying. He didn’t want anyone to know about this. Especially not his boyfriend! He’ll probably break up with him or think its some kind of fetish.

“Hey, it’s okay, I’m not mad or upset, I’m just a bit confused and worried,” Langa tried to comfort him.

He let Reki cry it out, figuring it would be best since Reki often didn’t cry. Once he was done, Langa rubbed his back.

“I- I age dream and regress. So i act like a baby or toddler to cope or I mentally revert back to a younger state of mind,” Reki answered when he felt like he could speak.

“Ohh, is that what this is? You can do that, baby, I don’t mind. Do you need to be taken care of? I don’t think babies can go without a parent or caregiver,” Langa said. He somewhat understood what was going on. He wasn’t going to judge his boyfriend, and instead would support him in any way.

“If you’re okay with that, I’d love to! I always wanted a caregiver!” Reki answered. Langa patted his head

“I can do that for you, honey,” Langa gave him a kiss on the forehead, making him giggle, “What were you drawing?”

Reki crawled over to his picture and showed him what he drew. He held it up proudly, showing it off.

“Wow, sweetie, this looks great!” 

Reki smiled brightly before putting his paci back in his mouth and started coloring another one.

They spent the rest of the afternoon playing, coloring and cuddling. Reki didn’t want to age back up but they were going to S tonight and knew Langa was waiting all week for it. So he crawled out of his new caregivers arms and started putting away his stuff.

“Whats the matter, baby boy?” Langa asked.

“We have S tonight, I need to get ready,” he answered.

“How about we skip it for tonight. We’ve been going there a lot, maybe we should take a break,” He suggested. He knew that Reki was having some problems with his mental health and anxiety and just wanted him to feel better.

Reki immediately dropped his stuff and crawled right back into Langa’s lap. It was nice to finally have a break.
