Procrastinating on deciding if I should start the antibiotics now or wait & see (doc said either is okay, use my judgment as these are nasty drugs).
Noticing that I feel better when I am wrapped up in a blanket with a cat on me and just lost in producing music.
The moment I stop, I’m like, oh, I feel ill.

As well as, the price of these baggage is way more inexpensive than finding an reliable designer tote. I can really extend my budget when I choose to take a position within a reproduction bag. In addition, I haven't got to worry about any repairs or repairs – these bags are constructed like tanks! They will rise up to everything I set them as a result of.
I've even astonished some individuals if they've questioned to discover my bag in more element. Absolutely sure, at first look, you can inform it is a reproduction but up shut it truly looks like the actual matter. That's as the creators of duplicate bags are so enthusiastic about whatever they do. They match the small print and craftsmanship of the original right down to a tee!
Additionally, I am thorough the place I store. I have discovered some great sites that offer reputable, high-quality variations of designer bags. You would be surprised at how much investigation and get the job done they place into their products.
Along with that, I often feel so chic when I have a single of these all around town! It's a vintage piece of arm candy, but since it's a reproduction bag, it diffuses each of the drama that comes with hauling a designer bag. As a substitute, I am able to get pleasure from the beauty of these luggage without any of your anxiety of carrying all over a pricey product.
And when I can, I purchase some unique variations of each and every bag. That way, I am able to use a handful of distinctive appears to be like in a similar type! Can you envision, a crocodile tote sooner or later plus a quilted tote another? Perfection.
Speaking of, I recently obtained a replica shoulder bag and I simply cannot get ample of it. The craftsmanship is exceptional and It is really easy to hold around. From errands to an evening out, it's so functional. My friends are constantly inquiring me the place I obtained it.
I also just purchased a replica duffel bag for my upcoming journeys. It appears to be so deluxe and posh! I am so psyched to indicate it off the subsequent time I am over the aircraft.
Oh, and did I point out that reproduction baggage are actually eco-welcoming? It is really a great way to look fantastic and however be form for the atmosphere.

I fully adore it After i locate a sleek, elegant and amongst a kind phony bag! It really is just which i know deep down inside of that it isn't the real deal, but it nevertheless looks rather incredible. Now, ahead of I plunge as well deep into this topic, let me just acknowledge the fact that some bogus baggage appear to be They may be genuine originals, while some... not a lot of! That's why it's important to purchase from trustworthy dealers.
It is like a big gamble needless to say! You should be really cautious and know your things prior to purchasing any phony bag. In any other case, you might end up getting scammed or with something that seems to be almost nothing like the actual point. I don't forget the first time I bought a phony bag, it looked definitely affordable and didn't even come with the correct lock and keys. The good thing is, I was capable to return it, prior to it absolutely was far too late!
Now, in the event you wanna go ahead and take safe route, you will discover specified signals and features that can help you determine if a bag is actual. Seek out The emblem's design and style, form of material utilised, stitching details, and naturally, the price.
Also, if It appears too fantastic to become correct, it more than likely is. For example, if the deal is waaay as well low-cost, then it is time to walk away. Faux luggage are focus on of fraud and cons, as well as they fake designer bags do not come with warranties or authenticity assurance.
Yet another thing I often do is to read through critiques and Verify opinions from all those who have purchased the bag in advance of. That is the most effective ways to stay away from purchasing a phony. Plus, It's also possible to go online and Look at the authentic and bogus style and design.
Ultimately, if you still decide to invest in any faux bag, just know they appear in numerous styles, sizes, and qualities. I have acquired some very good phony luggage, and Whilst they don't seem to be top rated notch or the actual offer, they continue to seem stylish and classy. And, it's also a magnificent means of accessing designer makes without the need of expending a buck.
So, if You are looking for a top quality and exclusive bag, you may generally contemplate buying a bogus. Just you'll want to Test the details and do plenty of analysis prior to deciding to make your obtain. That way, you can find the perfect bag at the best selling price.
And it does not make a difference that it is not the actual matter. Faux baggage are listed here to remain!
On the subject of choosing the suitable fake bag for me, I love going for classic and timeless designs. They are more likely to appear like an genuine primary and can be utilized for for a longer period. If you are going to rock a bogus bag, then why not select a style and design that's timeless?
And I need to say, faux baggage Never necessarily should can be found in tedious hues or layouts. You could go outrageous and purchase baggage in dazzling and Daring shades, with furry facts, and contemporary and eye catching types. The possibilities are really endless, so It truly is very enjoyment to take a look at the various styles, sizes, and resources.
One more detail I really like about phony luggage is that you could get high-quality types with no breaking the bank. Generally, I look for fake leather-based baggage considering that they are premium quality And do not demand much upkeep.
But my all's time most loved has bought to get a faux designer bag. I sense like they make me really feel so sassy and trendy. But, they do have selected hazards as They may be conveniently targeted by counterfeiters and frauds. This is exactly why It truly is seriously crucial to be sure that the bag you will be having is of top quality and is particularly from a dependable seller.
At the end of the day, whether or not you purchase a real or fake bag should not subject so long as you are investing in a thing you love and can in fact use. So let us just Choose it and acquire People elegant and vibrant faux bags!

What I believe in
These are my beliefs as someone who aligns with democratic socialism and progressivism. Feel free to critique it, challenge it, even just a few sections, whatever, but this is what I believe will make the world a better place, because people (and animals) deserve to live the best possible lives they can live with the only chance at life they got. This is going to be super general and long, and not get into nearly everything, but I hope it sheds a positive light on leftism.
Strong unions so that workers (the majority of people in society) have the ability have better footing to negotiate better wages, work hours, vacation days, benefits, etc. I also believe that in instances where it’s pragmatically viable that there should be a push for more worker co-op’s, in which every employee has a stake in the company they work at, and the ability to give their input (all companies should strive for more democracy). Both of these contribute to healthier, happier, and, and better payed people.
Raising the minimum wage in the U.S to $15 an hour. The current wage of  $7.25 is way too low. It’s just not a livable wage. There’s a reason why McDonald’s and Walmart are called corporate welfare queens, and it’s because they’re employees require welfare to survive, despite being the biggest corporations on the planet with multi-billionaire CEO’s. The richest in society should also pay more in taxes.
Stop investing so much in the American military, cut it by a third if you can. (Firstly this frees up a lot of money for other things) Get the military out of the middle east, and create other more peaceful avenues to ensure it doesn’t crumble like every single time the military pulls out and doesn’t try to actually fix the mess they created. The people in the middle east deserve to be able to rebuild and they’ll need help to do that (just not the type of help where america installs their own leaders).
Healthcare should be universal, paid for by taxes. Every developed nation is capable of doing it. Many developing countries are doing it. Americans pay more in taxes for healthcare than so many other countries, yet a trip to the hospital still can put you in debt for the rest of your life. That is inhumane, and people shouldn’t have to choose between crippling debt and their health.
There’s also an argument to be made for free/way cheaper university, since countries like Canada or America force people to get a degree if they want to live a decent life, yet in order to do that you have to pay $15,000 a year for university. A system like that either forces people to skip out on uni, or again go into major debt. If Europe can figure it out, I think the U.S and Canada can figure it out too.
Black Lives Matter. To be more specific, I want police/criminal justice/prison reform. I want police de-militarized and to stop acting so abusive towards to civilians and real justice for the police that do, I want an end on the war on drugs (this helps drug addicts get help and delivers a blow to gangs and the cartel). I want an end to mass incarceration and laws that make it easier to throw people in jail for years for basically nothing. I want an end to for profit prisons. I want an end to the policy of retribution rather than rehabilitation for inmates (countries who rehabilitate are way more successful at non-returning inmates). I want an end to treating prisoners like slaves so corporations can get cheap labour. I also want the government to actually start caring about the poorest communities, many of which are predominantly black and latino (in cities anyways). (Also the indigenous in Canada). Better infrastructure, better public works programs. These all contribute to the proliferation of these communities and helps lessen the potential for criminality by making their lives better.
The dismantling of gender norms and roles, and de-stigmatization of LGBTQ+ people. I want people to be whoever they want to be. For far too long we have expected men and women to act a certain way. Women have come a long way, but there are still remnants of the old way of looking at things. We still have a lot of social stigma about how women should look, and that they are not worth even paying attention to if they aren’t conventionally attractive. We still have social stigma about sexuality and sex work. We hyper sexualize women in the media, yet shame women as sluts if they have a lot of sex. We shame women who choose abortion as murderers, yet don’t offer any support for the mother once the child has arrived. On top of that, the positions of power are still predominantly very old men. I also believe in helping men. Men are lonelier, men are increasingly staying sexless (not by choice), men are getting more suicidal. I want to address this two ways. One, by tackling toxic masculinity (not masculinity itself, just the bad parts). TM is telling men to man up and not to cry, TM is telling men not to act feminine or gay. TM is telling men to bottle up their emotions and resolve their problems through violence. The second way to address this is through my beliefs about workers. Men are the most suicidal in countries where there is a heavy work culture, like Japan and South Korea. Where they can’t have lives, and live to make money for the company they work at. That isn’t good.
When it comes to LGBTQ+ people, we need more positive representation in the media. We need people to see gay, trans, and non-binary people as normal people. When it comes to trans people specifically, we need to end the constant wars against them. Whether you’re talking about bathrooms, or sports, or children/teens receiving trans affirming healthcare. Let trans people be the gender that they say there are in the places they want to be, and allow them to receive the healthcare they need which is just the overwhelming medical consensus. This, combined with more supportive parents. all goes a long way to reducing the suicide rate amonst trans people.
The proliferation of the developing world. I want developing countries to be more autonomous, and to stop being under the boot of western corporations. I want an end to sweatshop labour or borderline sweatshop labour. I want the west to stop treating these actual people like their robots for pennies to produce our ungodly amounts of junk, and to actually pay these people decent wages. I want the world bank to stop giving money in an exploitative way to poor nations so that they cave to western business interests. These are people, human beings, and they deserve to develop and live good lives just like us. I also want them to fight for democracy in their countries.
Environmentalism. To go off the last section, 100 Corporations are contributing 71% of greenhouse gases. That needs to change. Corporations are participating ungodly amounts of devastations to eco-systems and the atmosphere. Ecosystems destroyed, and the exacerbation of the climate crises. I want a green and blue earth, and that can start by a) changing to green energy as much as humanly possible; solar, wind, and even nuclear (and whatever we come up with in the future) are far better than the fossil fuels we use now, which we’ll run out of anyways. And second we need to hold corporations accountable for destroying the planet. If we don’t do this, we risk the climate crises getting really bad. Oceans rising which will flood coastlines, creating millions of refugees, more periods of extreme dry (no water/bush fires) and extreme cold (look at what happened to texas). Something needs to be done about it.
Finally, veganism, for many reasons. One, the switch to veganism will be a big contributor to saving the planet. Whether you’re talking about the devastation we do to places like the Amazon Rain forest and other ecosystems to clear the way for animal farming, or whether you’re talking about reducing emissions. Most emissions and waste from agriculture are from the production phase of animal farming. So much food, water, and energy is wasted by giving it to billions of animals that we purposefully breed into existence, then slaughter, rinse and repeat, every single year, when we could just grow food and give water to people and skip out the middle man (think about how many people are hungry and without water in the world).
Philosophically, it is also wrong to kill a living creature that desires to live, that is able to connect with other living things and it surrounding, to form bonds. A cow, pig, chicken, lamb, sheep, are no different than a dog, cat, or rabbit, and they should not be killed, exploited, and tortured (confinement, abusive conditions in industrial farms) for pleasure. I know it’s pleasure for most people, because vegans are living proof that you can live happy and healthy lives without animal products. Vegans are statistically healthier than non-vegans, and we can get all the nutrients we need, even on an inexpensive diet. There are exceptions of course. A very small portion of people literally cannot eat plants and can only eat meat, and the developing world doesn’t have the same access to vegan products as the developed world does. Those people are valid, but many many people can make the switch and they should, especially in the developed world
All I see from this is making the world better. Hopefully you can too.

Okay, I know I literally just said I had only vague ideas for historical ocs and didn’t know when I’d flesh them out only two days ago but last night my brain reminded me of the Lady Grace Mysteries!
Set in the Tudor court in 1569-1570, Lady Grace is an orphan and maid of honor to Elizabeth I.
She’s thirteen in 1569 so she must have been born circa 1556.
Descriptions of Grace are pretty minimal given it’s her daybooke (like a journal or diary) where she records everything that goes on but some details we have are:
Hair color:
“Now I know it isn’t true because no one with mousy hair can outshine Sarah Copper-locks Bartelmy, but it was nice of her to say it, so I kissed her back.”
Tomboyish -> she likes to climb trees and playing with the Queen's dogs and isn’t as interested in fancy dress as some of the other maids of honor, she is often chided by Mrs. Champernowne, the mistress of the maids, for her disregard for clothes/lack of grace (haha), she doesn’t like to wear facepaint:
“Mary Shelton just came in and made moan to me about Lady Sarah not wanting to walk the dogs—even though it is her turn. I see an opportunity. I must run!”
“So when I want to go there, I generally volunteer to take the Queen’s little dogs for a walk. Everyone knows I’m the only one of the Queen’s Gentlewomen who actually likes them. They’re small and hairy and smelly and quite fierce and a bit snappy if they don’t know you—but I never have any trouble with them. They like me.”
“This time Mrs. Champernowne caught me on the back stairs. I think she lies in wait for me. ‘Lady Grace!’ she shouted. ‘Lady Grace! Stop at once and wait!’
She’s Welsh, you know, and very strict. But I have to be respectful to her, because she’s served the Queen longer than anyone else—since Her Majesty was just Princess Elizabeth and everyone thought she’d be executed. So I stopped and curtsied. I knew exactly what she was going to say. And she did.
‘Lady Grace! When will you live up to the pretty name your poor mama gave you? How many times do I have to tell you not to clatter down the stairs like a herd of cattle?’”
“‘I don’t like wearing face paint,’ I said, and pushed the pot away.“
Tall:
“When they had finished, they turned me round to look in the Queen’s own looking glass, which is huge and made of Venetian glass and worth as much as a good horse! It was as if a tall lady had come in and was facing me. While Fran tied a small ruff round my neck, I curtsied to her—the reflection did the same. Well, I knew it was me, really, but I didn’t believe it until then.”
“‘But wherefore is Lady Grace’s kirtle still not finished, Mr. Beasley?’ the Queen asked disapprovingly. ‘Surely this is not your wonted service to me. Why so long a-making? I had desired to see it before she wears it.’
‘But Your Majesty,’ the tailor said desperately, ‘the beauteous Lady Grace keeps on growing, but the cloth does not!’”
Flat-chested:
“So for the Volta I got Sir Gerald. He smiled and bowed and looked straight at me. The new gentleman was staring at Lady Sarah’s chest, but Sir Gerald was looking at my face. (Well, I’ve got nothing to see further down, even in a French-cut bodice.)”
The covers of the editions I’ve included are likely all meant to represent Grace (I’ve excluded the cover for Exile which features a main character in that mystery who decidedly cannot be Grace). I’m unsure if it was all done based on the same model but it certainly seems so.
I’ve decided to take my cue from the covers.
Mousy-hair is a descriptor that pops up a lot in historical fiction and that I’ve never been able to nail down an exact shade for. It seems to be somewhere between blonde and brown, which is what I’m going to go for for my Grace, with brown eyes.
I don’t know which AG doll looks closest to the girl portrayed on the cover (happy to take input/advice), and I will probably go for what I can find inexpensively secondhand since I don’t see the point in paying full price for a doll I’d most likely be modifying anyway.
I could also go for an Our Generation doll. I’m not picky. I am eliminating Carpatina, A Girl for All Time, and Magic Attic dolls as options since they’re all slimmer and won’t fit the same clothes. Unfortunate, since the Carpatina and Girl for All Time dolls do have a bit of an older look to their faces but none of them looks close enough to Grace for it to be worth it for me to use one.
(The Hampton Court dress is to die for but it’s a few decades too early for Grace anyway.)
The only thing is that Grace wouldn’t work for the zoominag project twice over, given she’s not American and her time period is before 1580, so I will have to keep pondering my other ideas for historical characters.

Virtual Yule Ideas
Fuck 2020, am I right?
In all seriousness, it has been a very hard year for most of the world and while January 1st will not instantly fix everything that has gone wrong, it is nice to be finally saying goodbye to this year.
And while I am so excited that the covid vaccine has finally been released, it is important to still take safety precautions until the majority of the population has recieved the vaccine.
So with Yule and other winter holidays just around the corner, what's a witch to do?
Here are five ideas for your Yule celebrations that can be done completely virtually.
Tumblr media
1. Using a virtual Yule log/fireplace
The Yule log is a tradition that dates back centuries, stemming from early Germanic and Nordic pagan traditions, where a large log would be set into the hearth and burned every night for 12 days (hmm, why does that sound familiar?) beginning on the solstice in order to welcome the returning sun.
If you live in a home/apartment without a fireplace or access to  a hearth, find one online! There are tons of virtual Yule log videos on youtube to choose from that you can play during your celebrations or rituals. Also great for discreet witches/pagans.
2. Virtual offerings and altars
This is great for discreet witches, broke witches, or those with limited space. Use Pinterest or create a photo collage of an altar for your deities or other entities you would like to honor during the solstice.  Visit it every day during the 12 days of Yule, during your prayers, or other significant rituals.
As for offerings-- consider how much of our lives we spend on our computers or other devices. Now, I think technology is wonderful and an amazing tool for connection and learning, but it's also good to set it aside every once in awhile. Try taking some time without your electronic devices- turn them off or consciously set them aside. Use that time as an offering to your deities- using it to journal, perform rituals, make art that reminds you of them, or spend time with others.
3. Electronic charity sites
I'm a big believer in donating our time to organizations, rather than just our money. However,  this is not always possible, especially in 2020. Additionally, during these times many are facing financial hardship, and cannot aid the organizations they may care about most.
I highly recommend visitng 'Click to Donate' websites throughout the Yule season. On these websites, money for the organization is generated through ad revenue. Simply by visiting this website and clicking a button- you can donate. Just make sure that you double check the credibility of the charity in question.
4. Writing letters to prisoners
There are multiple websites that will help connect you with incarcerated individuals that you can email. Even if it's a one-time thing to wish them happy holidays, that is a small thing that will make a massive impact on that person's life.
I think we collectively forget about people in prison, and they are one of the groups that have bit hit hardest by this pandemic. It's definitely worth look into.
5. Old fashioned cards
Even in this world of mass inter-connection, I still get excited finding a letter in my mailbox. Again, it is simple and inexpensive- but sending a card or a letter to a friend is a great way to brighten up their Yule.
You could bless the card in question, draw a sigil on it or the envelope, or send the card with a talisman if they're a fellow witch. Don't underestimate the magical power of a hand-written letter.
Tumblr media
I hope you can use some of these during your celebrations. How are you celebrating Yule this year? How are you working to stay connected even while distant? I'd love to hear all about it.
Be safe, mask up, and blessed Yule! - Kate

Global Alert: Hydrogen Peroxide, Humidifier and Water mixed 50 Percent used indoors will "Kill Covid 19". Fact that will save your "Life, Family and Friends". US President's, Vice and Congressman attack my integrity for attempting to save lives globally. Unbelievable, Honorable Discharged US Army Sgt not afraid to "Stand and Tell Truth's". Oath to "GOD" matters.
Hydrogen peroxide nebulizer are humidifier to treat Covid-19 infection The following is from Thomas Levy, M.D, J.D., a board certified cardiolosit and a prolific medical writer of 13 books and a international speaker.  Thomas is a good friend of mine and I trust him.  Dr. Frank Shallenberger is also an internationally well known doctor whom I trust as well.  Although I have not personally tested this, I will recommend to you just in case you need it.  This method makes scientific sense and is safe, most definitely worth trying, especially now at this global covid-19 crisis. -Richard Cheng, M.D., Ph.D.An At-Home Treatment That Can Cure Any Virus, Including CoronavirusOriginally Conceptualized, circa 1990, by Charles Farr, MD Subsequently Researched and Prescribed by Frank Shallenberger, MD Current Protocol Created by Thomas Levy, MD, JDAlthough COVID-19, aka coronavirus, is deadly in some select cases, and it can spread rapidly, there is a simple, very inexpensive, and highly effective treatment that can treat and rapidly resolve coronavirus and virtually any other respiratory virus. While different individuals can be expected to have variable degrees of positive response, this intervention can be anticipated to eliminate eventual fatal disease outcomes in all but the most advanced cases.
As I hope you will eventually experience, the treatment works for all acute viral infections, and especially well for flu viruses of any variety. In fact, although we are constantly conditioned to not believe in anything “too good to be true,” you will never have to worry about getting a cold or the flu again because you can cure it on your own.The key ingredient in this treatment is common household 3% hydrogen peroxide, and this is the same substance that can be purchased in a 32-ounce plastic bottle at Walmart, for 88 cents, or at Walgreens for under a $1.00. Perhaps you have never heard of hydrogen peroxide therapy, but since the treatment was first championed by Dr. Charles Farr in about 1990, thousands of doctors have used this therapy for decades to conquer infections in many thousands of patients throughout the world.
How and Why Hydrogen Peroxide WorksBecause hydrogen peroxide consists of a water molecule (H2O) with an extra oxygen atom (H2O2), it is this extra oxygen atom that makes it so deadly for viruses. In order to comprehend why H2O2 therapy works so well, you must first understand that viral infections are eradicated from the body not by killing the virus itself, but rather by killing the cells that produce them.Technically, viruses are not alive, and so it is not possible to kill them. But some agents can physically break down the viral structure and render them inactive. Viruses are actually pieces of genetic code that, in and of themselves, can neither survive nor reproduce. Therefore, in order to replicate, viruses need to infect cells, which means that in the interior of cell, a virus uses the cell’s own DNA and RNA in order to effectively reproduce. Essentially, therefore, the virus controls an infected cell and uses the cell to manufacture new viruses. Then, the new virus can exit the cell and proceed to infect other cells. As a result, the way to control any viral infection is not to kill the virus; rather, the infected cells that have been turned into viral factories must be killed.
This is the role of the extra oxygen atom in hydrogen peroxide.Under normal circumstances with a healthy immune system, one’s immune cells produce their own hydrogen peroxide to kill the infected cells that propagate viruses. When one’s immune cells are overwhelmed, such as the case with COVID-19, hydrogen peroxide therapy merely assists the immune cells in doing the job for which they were originally created.One Disadvantage of Dr. Farr’s Original H2O2 TherapyFrom a patient and consumer perspective, the single main drawback to Dr. Farr’s original therapy is/was that it is primarily an intravenous (IV) therapy. Under most circumstances, this means that you must either administer the IV needle yourself or depend upon another person to assist you. Unfortunately, this is beyond the logistical (and perhaps financial) capacity of most people, and it may be one reason why the original hydrogen peroxide therapy is not more widespread.
Nevertheless, it should be realized that the proper intravenous application of hydrogen peroxide exerts a powerful anti-viral and general anti-pathogen effect.Dr. Shallenberger’s Ingenious Use of a NebulizerThe great news is that there is a safe and simple way to avoid doctors and IV needles. This method developed by Dr. Frank Shallenberger is almost as effective as IV, can be performed at home, and is much less costly than IV.The treatment is known as nebulized hydrogen peroxide, and Dr. Shallenberger began using the technique some years ago when he had a patient who was taking asthma medication that her doctor had been administering in a nebulizer.
For those who are unfamiliar, a nebulizer is a device that is able to convert a liquid into tiny, microscopic bubbles. As a result, these extremely small bubbles, which appear as smoke escaping from the nebulizer, can be inhaled into the deepest regions of the lungs without any discomfort or irritation. Such a device has long been utilized for asthmatics to get medication to open their lungs, but Shallenberger further noticed that nebulizers have a systemic effect, which is delivery far beyond the lungs only. According to one of Dr. Shallenberger’s patients, the inhalation of her prescribed drug in the nebulizer was “unbelievably strong,” and “affected her entire body.”What Was Taking PlaceIt turns out that the tiny bubbles were not only providing medication to the patient’s lungs, but the drug was being delivered to her entire body through her lungs.
Based on Dr. Farr’s prior research, Shallenberger reasoned that perhaps H2O2 could be delivered to the entire body with a nebulizer. Dr. Shallenberger tried the nebulizer delivery system on himself, and he was delighted to discover that the treatment was extremely easy to administer, very comfortable like breathing extremely pure air, and the treatment was in no way irritating. Shallenberger’s first actually ill test subject was his wife who had developed the initial symptoms of flu. She immediately began 10-minute treatments every waking hour, and within 72 hours, (three days), the flu was fully cured. Shallenberger was predictably amazed in that even IV hydrogen peroxide cannot resolve flu in much less time.
Since Mrs. Shallenberger’s rapid recovery, Dr. Shallenberger has treated hundreds of cases of colds, flus, sinusitis, and bronchitis all with the same results. Indeed, Shallenberger has discovered that nebulizer treatments actually have an advantage over the IV therapy. Not only is the hydrogen peroxide disseminated into the entire body through the lungs, it is also going directly to the areas of the body that are most affected by viruses: the sinuses, throat, bronchial tract, and lungs. This is especially important since colds and flu viruses replicate to very high titers in these areas, serving to supply a continuous feed of virus to the rest of the body.
Effective hydrogen peroxide nebulization quite literally, “chops the head off of the snake,” and the virus present elsewhere in the body can then readily be mopped up when the new virus influx has been terminated.It should be kept in mind that hydrogen peroxide kills all pathogens very readily upon contact in an open wound. It should, therefore, be understandable why putting a fine mist of hydrogen peroxide in all the areas of maximal viral replication promptly puts the body on a pathway to rapid healing. Dr. Levy’s Simple, Inexpensive, and Extremely Effective H2O2 ProtocolEarly Onset and Treatment of VirusRegular off-the shelf 3% hydrogen peroxide can be utilized. Preparations of greater pharmacological purity can be obtained if desired.For most adults, the 3% concentration can be utilized in the nebulization chamber undiluted. This optimizes the degree and rapidity of anti-viral and anti-pathogen effect.When a runny nose or slightly sore throat is already present, it is recommended that 10-to 15-minute nebulization sessions be undertaken roughly four times daily or until a symptomatic relief is realized.
Many individuals report significant improvement only a few hours after the first one or two treatments. But it would be advisable to persist in these treatments several times daily for at least 24 to 48 hours after you feel everything is completely normal in your sinuses, nose, and throat.For some, the 3% concentration results in too much stinging/burning in the nose. Such individuals can dilute with water until they find their highest tolerable concentration. Nearly everybody can tolerate a 50/50 combination of the 3% hydrogen peroxide and water. However, still lower concentrations can be utilized with clearly beneficial effect.Prevention/MaintenanceAs it is a completely non-toxic therapy, nebulization can be administered as often as desired.
If done on a daily basis at least once, a very positive impact on bowel and gut function will often be realized as killing the chronic pathogen colonization present in most noses and throats stops the 24/7 swallowing of these pathogens and their associated toxins.If daily prevention is not a practical option, the effectiveness of this treatment is optimized when somebody sneezes in your face or you finally get off of the plane after a trans-Atlantic flight. Don’t wait for initial symptoms. Just nebulize at your first opportunity.
Final Note: This fact and protocol sheet does not contain a copyright, and a patent has not been applied for. Therefore, I encourage the reader to disseminate the contents far and wide to as many people as possible. Because you now have a simple, inexpensive, and effective way to conquer virtually all viral infections, you do not have to live in fear of COVID-19 or any other pandemic. "Please share as a Public Safety Alert" step 1. mix water and hydrogen peroxide 50/50 percent step 2. Pour mixture into a humidifier step 3. Turn humidifier on and breath in mist being released in any room in your home. Try to do this every day, be well. Hope this helps everyone, friend always. mlh.

Medical Ignorance and the Mass Murder of Coronavirus Patients
Commentary by W. Gifford-Jones, MD
(OMNS Oct 20, 2020) In treating the sick, Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine counselled, "First, do no harm." Unfortunately, this cherished principle has not been followed in caring for patients with coronavirus infection. Losing a loved one due to cancer and other diseases is always tragic. But losing one due to the coronavirus pandemic when it could be prevented is an unforgivable act resulting in the mass murder of innocent lives. It has happened due to ignorance about history, hypocrisy, a lack of training of doctors about alternative medicine, and closed minds about the life-saving medical benefits of high doses of intravenous vitamin C.
I would not have the knowledge to write this article if one event in my life had not happened. At 74 years of age I nearly died of a serious heart attack. Doctors said I'd be dead in a few years without the help of cholesterol-lowering drugs. Luckily, several years earlier I had interviewed Dr. Linus Pauling, two-time winner of the Nobel Prize. He advised me of the important role of vitamin C in decreasing the risk of coronary disease. This is when I made one of the most vital decisions of my life. I decided to take 10,000 milligrams (mg) of vitamin C daily, rather than believe Big Pharma. But I also worried because Pauling, although a brilliant chemist, was not a doctor. Was he right about vitamin C? It was only years later when Dr. Sidney Bush, a English researcher proved that vitamin C could reverse atherosclerosis (hardening of arteries) that I knew I had made the right decision. [1]
Now, 22 years later, the doctors who told me I'd be dead in a few years without cholesterol-lowering drugs are dead, and I'm in my 97th year, still alive. It's this experience with the cardiovascular effects of vitamin C that's triggered my interest in the anti-infective and other medical benefits of vitamin C, especially how it can decrease deaths from viral and bacterial diseases.
Klenner went on to show that large doses of vitamin C could also cure other viral diseases such as meningitis, hepatitis, measles, mumps, pneumonia, shingles and even the poisonous bite of a rattlesnake. [2-4]  Since that time other researchers have reported that there is no viral disease that high-dose IVC cannot successfully treat.
But Klenner did not win a popularity contest with his colleagues. He wrote in frustration that "Some physicians would stand by and see their patient die rather than use ascorbic acid because in their finite minds it exists only as a vitamin."
Since that time closed medical minds have resulted in thousands of deaths from coronavirus and other diseases in Canada and worldwide. Because of a misconception that vitamin C is just another vitamin. But there is proof that vitamin C is a potent anti-infective nutrient that attacks both viral and bacterial diseases.
Infection triggers a severe inflammatory cellular reaction in the body which results in a decrease in vitamin C. It's like being caught in a snow storm on a lonely road and running out of gas. But in this case white blood cells need C to fight the infection. And if you have not been taking C on a regular basis, your white blood cells without C are like a gun without bullets.
Many people do not realize that nearly all animals make their own vitamin C. Humans lost this ability eons ago due to a genetic mutation. For instance, dogs produce 5,000 milligrams (mgs) daily. Health Canada maintains humans need only 90 mgs. But if a dog gets an infection, it will automatically produce up to 20,000 mgs daily!
During the coronavirus pandemic I've listened to Medical Officers of Health, TV anchors, politicians and medical experts all discuss the importance of distancing and frequent hand washing. But I have only heard one discuss the advantages of vitamin C and D in building up the body's immunity. [5] And I have not heard any explain how the use of high doses of IVC could save lives.
Dr. Lendon H. Smith outlined the clinical experiences of Frederick Klenner in "Clinical Guide to the Use of Vitamin C". It contains a wealth of information on how vitamin C treats many diverse diseases. And how prescribing insufficient amounts of vitamin C can lead to failure in therapy. This medical information is available for all to read. [6]
I've have written before that if a family member died due to coronavirus infection and doctors and hospital refused to use IVC, I would contest this situation in a court of law. I believe I would win because historical evidence is so overwhelming that large doses of C save lives.
The hypocrisy surrounding vitamin C is mind boggling. Dr, Linus Pauling complained, "The medical community requires rigorous evidence supporting vitamin C, but accepts flimsy evidence against it." Little has changed since I interviewed Pauling. This deficit is evidently caused by the minds of medical professionals refusing to accept scientific fact. And we will never know the number of needless deaths this has caused during the pandemic.
A year ago, as a journalist, I was invited to be a member of the Orthomolecular Medical News Service.   It's international editorial board is composed of distinguished physicians, professors, and researchers. Several months ago I asked all members how they would treat several viral infections. The overwhelming response was "high dose intravenous vitamin C." OMNS has published twenty-two physician case reports of success with IVC. [7]
Since February, researchers in China have been conducting double-blind studies on IVC. This means one group will receive IVC and a control group will get a placebo. Some studies have already been completed, and the results show that IVC saves more lives than placebo. [8]
"Dr. Enqiang Mao, chief of emergency medicine at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai, stated that his group treated ~50 moderate to severe cases of COVID-19 infection with high dose intravenous vitamin C. "The IVC dosing was for 7-10 days, with 10,000 mg for moderate cases and 20,000 mg for more severe cases. "All patients who received intravenous vitamin C improved, and there was no mortality." "There were no side effects reported from any of the cases treated with high dose IVC." (Richard Cheng, MD, PhD, reporting from Shanghai) http://orthomolecular.org/resources/omns/v16n12.shtml
But even in one of these recent laudable studies, there was a flaw. According to the report, all patients received a certain dose for moderate infection while others a higher dose for a more severe one. But patients who died had not received the higher dose. [9]
This reflects everything that Dr. Linus Pauling and Dr. Frederick Klenner stressed. As Pauling told his critics, "It's the dosage!" Or, as Klenner claimed, "Some infections require a much larger dose." As we all know, half an aspirin will not cure a migraine headache.
But there is more disturbing news. Chinese researchers are experiencing trouble getting their findings published. Contacts also tell me that doctors who use IVC in North America are being harassed by authorities. In some case, being told that if they persist they will lose their license to practice medicine.
To get an update on what was happening in some parts of Canada and the U.S I contacted several infectious disease specialists, Medical Officers of Health (MOH), and university hospitals, asking a simple question. "Do you prescribe intravenous vitamin C or know of anyone who does to treat coronavirus infection? And if terminal patients are not receiving IVC, why is this the case"?
It proved to be a time-consuming assignment. Many replied they would get back to me but failed to do so. I could only conclude they were not using IVC and did not want anyone to know about it.
Or they responded, "We have checked with our infectious disease specialist and confirm that high dose C is not being used to treat coronavirus infection."
What was shocking is that not a single Medical Officer of Health replied that IVC was being prescribed to those dying from coronavirus infection.
Another surprise was the reaction of Johns Hopkins one of the great hospitals of the world. Its distinguished professors were the first to introduce the value of bedside teaching for students. During this pandemic they were considered the authority in reporting the number of coronavirus deaths. So, I was shocked to receive this response, "We are not conducting clinical trials or administering C as a treatment for COVID 19." And even Harvard Medical School where I spent so many years as a student and later training as a surgeon, never replied to me.
What is going to happen?  It's that the Chinese study will likely fail to end the controversy and patients will continue to die needlessly of this virus. I was hoping that one infectious expert, or Medical Officer of Health, would possess the intellectual curiosity to ask, "I wonder if high does IVC could save lives?" It's tragic this has not occurred. Some would label this as medical ignorance, others as malpractice, or if a loved one has died as murder, and finally a court of law looking all the facts decide it's been mass murder.
So, we have a unique situation. It's been said that war is far too important to be left to generals. Due to the economic chaos caused by coronavirus this disaster may be much too important to be left to medical experts when so many North Americans have suffered.
It's time for the government to demand that our medical schools conduct a study of IVC. There is no shortage of patients. We have the scientific talent in our universities. Vitamin C is inexpensive and will virtually never cause complications. Vitamin C has never killed anyone. Besides, this study could be done in a short time and not require thousands of patients.
Who will grasp the moment and save countless lives?

Disruptor Designer and her Model, day 8
<Previous  Next>
8. Valentine
Adrien was practically begging for his father to fire him at this point. Why else would he be appearing in yet another one of Ladybug’s videos?
That is, until Marinette shot him a grin and he remembered oh yeah; she’s why.
“Ready?” Marinette asked.
He nodded. “Let’s go.”
She started the camera, then sat down beside him and pulled a box from the floor on her lap. She took a steadying breath, then looked over at him. “So, what’s in the box there, Agreste?”
He looked down at the large box in his lap. “Well, I’m glad you asked, Ladybug. I have a bunch of surprises for you.”
“For me?” she said, putting her hand over her chest in exaggerated surprise.
“Of course,” he said. “What’s in your box, ‘bug.”
She glanced down at the box. “Things for you.”
“For me?” he asked, pretending to be flattered.
“Yup. Time to play dress up the model.”
Adrien chuckled. This was where he knew she’d cut and insert her title card, so he didn’t feel bad for messing up the take.
“What’s up, everyone. Ladybug here, joined again by M Adrien Agreste, if that wasn’t obvious by the title card. And it’s also pretty obvious that we each do have boxes in our laps. Now, the reason is that Adrien and I kinda went on an online shopping spree… for each other.
“Now, for a while, you guys have been begging for me to review some online companies, and so, we are. In these boxes—” She and Adrien both lifted the boxes into the air. “—are a bunch of suits and dresses that we got for each other off a certain, popular online store that sells everything from designer stuff to inexpensive knock-offs. So, Adrien,” she said, turning back to him. “Would you like to see what I got you?”
“I very much would. And I’m sure you’re dying to know what I got for you.”
“I’m hoping that your career as a model has paid off because if you make me look ridiculous, you’re in serious trouble.”
He laughed, and so did she.
Next thing he knew, the camera location was changed, and he was hiding behind her dressing screen to change.
And was already irritated with the shirt before he could finish buttoning it down.
“Okay!” He cried, from behind the screen. He knew the camera was rolling to catch any behind-the-screen exclamations, just as she had in her videos, so he was more than happy to shout as he finished the ensemble. “What in the world is this shirt?”
“What do you mean?” she asked, her voice already light with amusement.
“I mean…” he began, stepping out from the screen and already garnering laughter. “I’m wearing a freaking bag.”
Laughing at the sight of him, Marinette walked over to her, already pulling at the extra fabric.
“Did you get the wrong size?” he asked.
“No, I got the size you told me to get. But this thing isn’t fitting well anywhere.”
“Oh, you think?” he teased.
She snorted a laugh. “Put on the vest to hide all… that and we’ll go from there.”
The vest, at least, fit somewhat okay.
After ranting about the quality and giving marks to all the outfit’s pieces, it was Marinette’s turn to try out the dress.
“All right, Adrien. I’m impressed with this one.”
And when she emerged from behind the screen, so was he.
He swallowed and forced a “that looks great on you” before his mind could shut down completely.
If this was how he was going to react to this dress, he was positively going to die with the other ones.
After over an hour of trying on clothes and talking about them, they got to the last outfit.
Adrien put on the outfit. “Ladybug, you did good with this one.”
“Let me see.”
He stepped out from behind the dressing screen and was met immediately by Marinette’s gaping expression.
“Woooow.” She whistled. “Look at hot stuff.”
He blushed. Oh please, don’t let the camera pick it up.
“That looks like it fits you really well,” she commented, walking over to him so she could fiddle with his clothes.
“It does,” he said. “And it’s shockingly comfortable.”
“That’s awesome.”
They talked a little bit about the clothes and the prices, and Adrien was surprised at how inexpensive it was. But then again, he was a little biased considering he grew up with designer clothes.
“This is honestly a great suit,” he commented, looking at himself in the mirror. “It doesn’t look like it’s cheap at all. Honestly, take it to a tailor and splurge to get it custom fitted, and you’ll look like you’re wearing a thousand-dollar suit. It’s not necessary if this is for a prom or something, but—”
“But you’re right,” Marinette said. “Let me get my pins and play with it.”
She did, and for the next few minutes, Adrien stood statue still while Marinette pinned and tucked it together.
“Such a difference,” she said once she was finished.
“With it tailored you honestly could not tell the difference between this and some of my other suits in my closet.”
“That’s saying a lot coming from Adrien Agreste.”
“I’m not lying.”
Lastly, Marinette got changed into the very last of the dresses. If Adrien were being honest, it wasn’t his favorite of the bunch, but there was a reason he got it.
“Remember how I said you were doing really well on the dresses?” Marinette asked from behind the screen.
“Yeah?”
“You failed.”
He snorted a laugh.
When she emerged, she was wearing a white dress that was covered in a pink, mini-heart pattern. The skirt was high-low, trialing off in the back, and the neckline was wide and frilly.
“It looks like Valentine’s Day threw up on me,” she said dryly. “I mean… the skirt is cute,” she continued on. “And it has a good shape, though I would need to trim off that train because… wow, it’s long. And the bodice is nice enough. It fits, but what is up with this neckline?”
He chuckled. “Your rating?”
“Salvageable for a price?” she answered with a cringe.
“Over a hundred?”
Her eyes got wide. “Was this over a hundred?”
“Maybe?”
“Nooooo,” she said, turning back to the mirror, horrified. “I wouldn’t pay more than twenty.”
He tried to withhold his laughter, only for it to come out as a snort.
“How much did you pay for this one?”
“Two-seventy-five.”
“NO!” she whisper-screamed, turning toward the camera with her jaw on the ground. “Nooooo.”
Adrien laughed.
“Why!” Marinette said, looking at the dress. “It’s not that nice, like, at all. Who decided this was fashion?”
“Audrey Bourgeois.”
Marinette’s eyes widened as she turned back to him. “What?”
He nodded.
“Wait… Are you saying, I’m wearing an ‘Audrey’s Pick’ piece?”
His smile grew wider as he nodded once again.
“Oh no.” Her shock turned to amusement as she quickly covered her mouth, and Adrien found it impossible to not laugh.
“Oh no no no. Audrey, what is this?” Marinette looked in the mirror again, spinning around. “And it was on the site?”
“It was,” Adrien said.
“Oh no,” Marinette cried, bursting into laughter.
Eventually, they calmed, allowing them to finish up the recording. Marinette signed off with her original “Bug out” catchphrase, and the camera was off for the day.
“I cannot believe this is an ‘Audrey’s Pick’,” she repeated, pulling at the ruffles on the neckline.
“I know. I saw it on her website, and then searched for it on the website, and it was there.”
“I’m gonna be hated.”
He shrugged. “You already are, but that’s what fans love about you.”
“Gee, some boyfriend you are,” she teased.
“I know I am,” he returned with a grin. “But really, I think that that dress would make an awesome candidate for one of your make-over videos.”
She looked down at it. “I think you’re right,” she said. “I’ll have to play with it and find a way to dial down the hearts.”
“You’ll make a way,” he said. “Maybe you can figure it out and surprise me when I pick you up on a date?” He’d been getting so smooth lately, he couldn’t help but grin at himself. Good job, Agreste. All those lessons from Nino are finally paying off.
She blushed, giggling. “Smooth, hot stuff. Only if you insist.”
His cheeks were now on fire. “I do.”
“Then I can’t disappoint now, can I?”
He grinned, his heart warm and fluttering like a butterfly. “Honestly, my lady, I don’t think you ever could.”

18650 battery: which is better - TOP-10 best battery models
What is The Best 18650 Battery PrPrhigh capacity;the discharge current is higher than that of other cheap models;low cost;standard sizeshigh quality.widespread use of the model in the budget segment;low price;ease of use.Conventional batteries are considered unpopular today. Although they are inexpensive, they do not have even a fraction of the advantages that batteries have. Lithium-ion 18650 batteries are the most popular product with many applications. But what is also important - one set can be recharged many times, and not thrown away and taken a new one, as is the case with batteries. And nature will be grateful that you do not pollute it with them. 18650 battery: which is better - we'll talk about it in the article.
Tumblr media
No. 10. Samsung ICR18650
Tumblr media
This battery does not have such a large capacity - 2600 mAh, but this does not prevent it from being widespread in all markets of the world. It comes to the point that repacking companies themselves take them and release them under their own brand. Typically, such batteries can be found in remote controls, screwdrivers and various household appliances. They will also be well used in electronic cigarettes, although some models need more powerful batteries.
Pros
widespread use of the model in the budget segment;
low price;
ease of use.
Cons
no protection system;
small capacity.
No. 9. Panasonic NCR18650B
Tumblr media
Remembering those batteries that everyone used fifteen years ago, either Sony or Panasonic come to mind. This model belongs to the second company. The rechargeable version of those old, but everyone's favorite batteries is now on the Russian market - meet the NCR18650B.
Like Sony, Panasonic went the easy way of not worrying about design. A simple green with all the basic information is all you'll see.
Let's move on to the details. The capacity of this model is 3400 mAh, which is good enough. The discharge current is also good - from 1.6 A all the way up to 6 A.
Unfortunately, this model's batteries cannot be used with some items such as remote controls. They need less discharge current from rechargeable batteries.
It should be warned that these batteries do not have protection, which means that they must be used where there is a protection controller (electronic cigarettes have one, you can not worry). The same applies to the charger.
Low price is what the manufacturer was striving for by releasing this model. However, something else had to be sacrificed besides protection - the number of recharge cycles. Believe me - even 300 cycles is already a record, they live less.
Pros
high capacity;
the discharge current is higher than that of other cheap models;
low cost;
standard sizes
high quality.
Cons
no protection against overheating and short circuit;
no micro-USB port for charging;
short service life.
No. 8. ROBITON 18650-3000
Tumblr media
This manufacturer also indicated on the label that this model of rechargeable batteries has protection. And indeed it is. Protection against discharge and overcharge is used not for nothing, but to increase the service life of these batteries. After all, discharging to "zero" will not allow you to recharge the battery again. True, it should be noted that the short-circuit protection is not too strong. But this is because of the desire to get into the budget segment.
Due to the design familiar to everyone, on which everything is written, you can understand - to take or not to take. Their capacity is average - 3000 mAh. The cost is quite low, which makes this model affordable for many.
It is believed that the basis is a Samsung battery, although the discharge current of 3.5 A raises some doubts. While the battery is generally good, it can be used with many devices.
These batteries, by the way, can survive up to 300 charge cycles without changing their capacity. Further, only a slight decrease is expected. And yes - you need to look for a separate charger for them.
Perhaps these batteries are the best choice for those who want to save money, but have high-quality batteries to make the vape pleasant to vape.
Pros
multilevel protection;
low cost;
average, but still normal capacity;
a widespread model - it should be easy to find.
Cons
low discharge current;
the quality of protection leaves much to be desired;
no micro-USB for charging.
No. 7. Samsung ICR18650-26HM
Tumblr media
Another model from Samsung with a simple design like Panasonic and Sony. A solid color with a minimum of information is what the Samsung ICR18650-26HM offers.
This battery, like all simple models, has no protection, which is not encouraging. But if we consider that this is just a preparation for repackaging companies, then everything becomes clear.
The capacity of this model is small - 2600 mAh. Although for the majority it may be enough. And what may surprise you is the price. It is smaller than other budget models. And the discharge current will also surprise - it is 5.2 A. It, in general, is enough for low-power devices, including for electronic cigarettes of the budget segment.
The micro-USB port, as is clear from the price, is absent, which means that you still need to buy a charger. And it is better to take care of this, otherwise there is no overcharge protection and the battery may overheat.
According to the manufacturer, this model can withstand up to 800 charge cycles, but most likely the figure is exaggerated. We put on 200 cycles, which is still acceptable for an extremely budget model.
Pros
astronomically low price;
discharge current - high for budget models;
self-discharge level is extremely low;
versatility.
Cons
small capacity;
no micro-USB port;
means of protection - none.
No. 6. Olight 18650 ORB-186P36
Tumblr media
This battery also has a very high capacity, like the Fenix. Even slightly higher, to be more precise - 3600 mAh. And the discharge current reaches 10 A. With two of these, many devices can be powered. For example, a bicycle light will shine on you all night. If the device is not so powerful, then it will work even longer. For example, the same electronic cigarettes.
What's even more interesting is that this model is cheaper than many others, but the quality does not suffer. A Panasonic-controlled company is responsible for it.
Olight 18650 ORB-186P36 has protection against electrical problems (overcharge, discharge, short circuit), as well as overheating protection module.
These batteries are considered to be very reliable. 500 charging cycles with 100% capacity, then a slight decrease. The charger must deliver up to 1 A of amperage to be considered suitable for charging these batteries.
There is no protection against gas, but its formation is practically impossible. The only case of possible occurrence is the deformation of the case, but this is unlikely to happen on its own.
The lack of a micro-USB port creates some inconvenience as it requires a separate charger that supports AA batteries.
Pros
high discharge current;
good short circuit protection;
overdischarge, overcharge and overheating are practically excluded;
fairly large capacity;
standard length;
normal price
withstands up to five hundred discharge cycles.
Cons
there is no gas discharge system;
no micro-USB port.
No. 5. ANSMANN Li-Ion 18650
Tumblr media
An equally optimal choice among other rechargeable batteries is the ANSMANN brand products. However, we warn you right away - although the price tag is low, the quality, contrary to expectations, is quite high. At least - due to the presence of good protection against both discharge and short circuit. There will definitely not be explosions and fires.
Among other things, a third protection has been installed - against overloads, which makes the product even more pleasant for a potential buyer. The discharge current is rather big - only 5 A.
By the way, about cycles. Without reducing the capacity, it can withstand about 500 recharge cycles.
What led to the low price? There are several factors in total. The first is the need for a separate charger. The second is a fairly low capacity (only 2600 mAh). So the owners of "gluttonous" equipment (bright lights, for example) are unlikely to use such batteries. The rest of the product should like it, including vape lovers.
Pros
small chance of self-discharge;
three-level protection;
high discharge current;
low cost;
long service life.
Cons
lack of a micro-USB connector;
small capacity.
No. 4. Fenix 18650 ARB-L18-3500U
Tumblr media
This model from Fenix, despite belonging to the budget segment, has multi-level protection. In its design, for example, there is a means of preventing the formation of gas that can cause an explosion. In addition, there is a means to prevent a short circuit in the battery itself - the battery shell itself, which can be pierced, at least with an ax, no less.
What's more interesting - the model looks like a regular battery, except for a micro-USB connector. It is designed to charge this battery. What else stands out is the indicator light, which lights up when connected to a current.
500 charging cycles - that's how much this model is designed for. For many, this is more than enough. In addition, the possibility of long-term use of the tool with these batteries is more than encouraging. For example, your electric guitar will play for a long time on the same rechargeable batteries, and flashlights can generally replace each other, and the set of batteries will be the same. And your e-cigarette will last a long time.
What is more important - after 500 cycles the batteries continue to work with the same quality, just their capacity is slightly reduced. To be more precise, by a quarter.
Since the capacity is 3500 mAh, we can confidently talk about reaching almost the very maximum in this parameter.
Remember - you should not charge with adapters with increased current output, it is better to take a charger for 1 A. And even better - take a proprietary charger from the same company (it has a discharge current of 0.8 A).
Pros
large capacity;
micro-USB port for charging;
durable body;
multilevel protection;
acceptable price;
the capacity is maintained for 500 charge cycles.
Cons
the length is slightly longer than usual - not all connectors may fit.
Number 3. Rombica NEO X8 18650
Tumblr media
Earlier we mentioned rechargeable batteries that support charging with a micro-USB cable (see Fenix 18650 ARB-L18-3500U model). And here is another representative of batteries with this "chip".
Rombica NEO X8 18650 stands out for the presence of a suitable type of cable in its package, so you don't have to look for anything - everything is immediately in place. Yes, it is, of course, short (10 cm long), but it is ideal for charging these rechargeable batteries.
What else is remarkable about this model? For example, the price. It is not too big, but not too small, which means that everyone can buy this model. Another of the remarkable advantages is the well-thought-out design and the discharge current - 2.1 A.
The manufacturer, interestingly, promises over 3000 recharge cycles.
It is also important to highlight the presence of a charging indicator, with which it becomes clear when the battery is fully charged, and when it is practically discharged. The presence of overcharge protection is also pleasing. Although nothing is known about other protective functions, which is not encouraging.
What is worth noting as a disadvantage is the low battery capacity. It is 1900 mAh, which will not be enough for "gluttonous" electrical appliances.
Note that this model is still a good option considering all its disadvantages. It is quite possible to use it for simple devices, if you consider how to handle it. Electronic cigarettes will also be "satisfied" with them, working long and efficiently.
Pros
average cost, but still within affordable;
presence of a micro-USB port;
USB cable included;
nice design;
long operational life.
Cons
small capacity;
problems with finding out the degree of protection of batteries;
low discharge current.
Number 2. Sony 18650 VTC5
Tumblr media
Sony is a Japanese company known all over the world, including for its rechargeable batteries. For a long time, the Russian market was filled with various Sony models, and now it's the turn of this model.
The most simple design with high-quality internal filling - that's what the Japanese are going to surprise. Although these rechargeable batteries have a small capacity (2600 mAh), their discharge current is quite high - 30 A. Low-power electronic cigarettes will still feel fine, but this battery will not be enough for more powerful ones.
It takes about three hours to charge the battery on average, no more. Although it is possible to change the amount of time by changing the charger.
Since this battery has a low price tag to make the product affordable to many, sacrifices were made for the price. For example, there is no short circuit and overheating protection system. Therefore, you must use these batteries carefully so that you do not have to change them in one day. You also need to pay attention to charging - it is better not to use chargers with high amperage.
If you wish, you can buy heat shrinks for a small cost - up to 150 rubles.
Pros
initially high discharge current;
easy to buy - they are everywhere;
serve for a long time;
cost little.
Cons
small capacity;
lack of protection and micro-USB port for charging.
# 1. Bright BEAM YLP SA1826 18650
Tumblr media
This is a domestic battery. Moreover, having information in English, it is sold not only in the Russian, but also in the foreign market.
We decided to choose the model Bright BEAM YLP SA1826 for consideration. The low price of the battery with a micro-USB port is a great option to buy. To make sure that the charge is 100%, you can look at the indicator light, which is located on one of the ends of the battery.
Unfortunately, nothing is known about the means of protection. But logically, there is definitely protection against overcharging - this can be understood from the charging port and the indicator light. You cannot find out about the rest of the functions of the protective board - therefore, you should use this model of batteries seriously enough.
The capacity of the product is 2600 mAh. Good enough for a budget model. It should be enough to light it up with a flashlight all night or smoke an e-cigarette for a long time.
Little is known about the discharge current, but 18650 batteries are made for powerful devices, which means that this model is doing well with it. But more is known about the number of recharge cycles - it can withstand up to 500 cycles without losing capacity.
Pros
presence of a micro-USB port;
low cost;
service life is long enough;
widespread use.
Cons
small capacity;
virtually nothing is known about remedies.
What is 18650 Battery

Watch "Bogati vs meclaren p1 😓😓.." on YouTube
youtube
We sell both of these in the new kit car format and truthfully the tires here are not that wide and I always look almost the same they're about an inch lesson width and you can't tell the body looks exactly the same because we stamp it and we use a computer like FRS to get the exact dimensions off thier line, and we check to see if there are schematics match. So you're getting a very inexpensive replica at like $7,000 plus or minus and that's the pinewood derby Briggs & Stratton and that's what the line is called and we saw the labels and everything is enough charge to get the labels for Bugatti and you can also name it something different and try and sell them as a knockoff and a lot of people trying to do that and we spelled Bugatti differently like we did it here.
We make a knockoff and it's a replica car and that's what we call them and it's a much higher-end vehicle this Bugatti can go about 400 mph and the McLaren can go 500 and we make a knock off of both and I'll just goes respectively 450 in about 650 and they're high performance parts and it's a high performance car but really you're only getting 150 mph more out of the Bugatti and no we can really go that fast we're getting a lot of calls princess tons of options and upgrades and we have to hire tons of people and it really started with the pinewood Derby car which a lot of kids want and they want the basic one and we're selling a smaller version for younger kids it is. Ages two to five and five to eight and the two different sizes in there for a pinewood derby down hills they really call them cart downhill it's not a go-kart and they are really ecstatic and those you can upgrade to get a go-kart motor for that there are a lot smaller than the 8 to 12 version and they're not as high performance the top speed of both those would only be 15 to 20 mph if that of course people will upgrade them and you know people doing a wheelie
Thor Freya
This is stress relieving but it's also going to be a ton of work we have huge factories to build and tons of people want these they're going to have tons of sports cars out there everybody is going to want one for the everyday car to commute with I'll tell you what they're better at gas mileage they handle better they're safer and faster and they're more efficient with regards to parts and so forth rather than these cars you had which are gross and the safer with our stamp system now we have a lot of things to do and we need a lot of people so I'm putting out there how many people we need and what it's for and a lot of people want to sign on to help children and it's going very well
Zig Zag
We cannot believe how many orders we have in there's too many even a replica cars and those are not cheap those are about $80,000 for the McLaren and $85,000 for the Bugatti but reversed the prices are reversed and it's because the McLaren is a little bit more high performance and bob birghetti is really upset and we dont care

Dexamethasone- The Wonder Drug or The Desperate Hope?
Despite all the desperate efforts to control the spread of the virus SARS-CoV2, wiz getting on nerves of us, humans, as a very, very, social ;sometimes; toxic, species
Hello,          I am Arjun and this picture is not me. Its been like 6 months into this pandemic and I have been eating all this junk you can actually say that this picture is me.Gosh, I was so excited for 2020 because so many exciting things were about to happen. Elon Musk was actually going to complete that Neuralink trial thingy by the end of this year and I could finally end my never ending struggle to take care of my> oh my god> numerous organ systems? my weight ? and my metabolism? any my eyesight? and my everything? Who the h*ll does that?
But no, its just not happening guys. I am pretty sure now because 2020 is just the worst year! let us just agree to that as a starter!
Can you guys like believe that we cannot go out for window shopping anymore?
I go out to buy milk and I have to wear this Halo master chief armored suit thingy.
Ordering from Starbucks is just a pandemic and one kidney away and I certainly cannot beat the Indian summer heat.
I am desperate, I am so desperate that Baba Ramdev doing Yoga at 4:30 in the morning actually makes sense somehow.
I am so desperate that my lockdown 3 AM anthem is :
Taoism talks about how you should go with the flow so thats what I am actually doing, I am finally going with the flow,
But it feels like this flow is actually going towards a falling waterfall and we all are almost on the edge now.
The International airlines are shut down You cannot travel to Ladakh or Goa with your friends and Emiway just featured Macklemore in his song? Like seriously? He went from worshiping M&M to MM? Half a million people have died due to the Coronavirus alone
Yemen is going through a civil war and one of the worst famines in modern history.
And for some reason Delhi is getting its ego drop by a series of Earthquakes.
Well,  Thank You 2020, UNESCO just declared you to be the most confused year in the history of mankind. Like seriously, please decide what you want man.
Now, lets talk medicine.
Lets talk about the scope Dexamethasone potentially has, against Covid-19,
There has been numerous claims in the recent past to have successfully found a potential cure for Covid-19, But I was like meh; BUT I am pretty excited for this one which Oxford just released a statement for I think last night maybe.
The World Health Organisation also applauded the initial results of the study.
It is really interesting, the excerpt said that they are trying to publish the data as soon as possible which basically makes it a more trustworthy of a claim.
The study was an attempt to potentially use Dexamethosone  (A long acting corticosteroid which can remain in the systemic circulation for as long as 3 days) as a DOC for the Covid19.
What are Steroids?
Steroids is a group of chemical compounds with extensive properties often used as a drug of choice for many life threatening diseases.
Some steroids ( Androgenic Steroids) are activated due to stress and leads to many anabolic processes inside your body for example "Muscle building", When you are like trying to get those gains so badly in the gym, what basically happens is you are stressing your muscular cells (also injuring) as a result of resistance training and then steroids are produced as a physiological response so that more and more protein is available for the muscle to repair (btw this is the reason why some bodybuilders using anabolic steroids, end up gaining exceptional gains over years of steroid use)
Some steroids (Glucocorticoids) can strongly suppress the immune system by either suppressing certain genes in various immune cells or by blocking the important enzyme activities. These steroids can act as Anti Inflammatory too which basically means these steroids counter any inflammatory response which can be physiological or pathological. This is the reason that if a steroid taken in the early phase of the Covid-19 disease (The mild symptomatic or Asymptomatic phase) can actually suppress the immunity to a certain point that the drug itself becomes counterproductive.
Some Steroids (Mineralocorticoids) maintain the mineral balance by salt retention, etc. Lets just skip this one.
Adrenal Gland produces Steroid. Them tiny glands you can see above the kidneys.
Now the immunity suppressing nature of Dexamethasone is also the reason why it cannot be taken as a mass prophylaxis drug,  unless the patient is in a state of severe immune response to the infection and requires ventilation or ICU.
The exudate formed in the lungs become an overwhelming immune response to fighting the virus and becomes fatal by causing the patient to stay in respiratory distress and finally succumbing to death.
The Trials done by the Oxford University aka RECOVERY trials, said that :
"1 death would be prevented by treatment of around 8 ventilated patients"
or
"around 25 patients requiring oxygen alone as of now"
*The prognosis may potentially increase as with other combinations in the future*
The study is really interesting because the study population was relatively large ( around 11,500) ; The Cohort population was around 2100 and Control was 4300 which is really exciting.
How does Dexamethasone work against SARS - CoV2?
Dexamethasone is a long acting Corticosteroid and mostly suppress the genes of immune expression
This is the Mechanism of Action of the drug if you are interested:
Dexamethosone vs The Immune System :
The goal of this drug is to just deactivate the immune system which has gone kinda crazy over this virus.
The immune system (IS) basically starts acting like its IS and terrorizes the whole body like its Iraq or Syria.
Jokes aside, This drug can really do some great damage to the hyper super- immune response which is kind of self destructive as the disease progress. Let's try to understand HOW
Only Within 6 hours of single dose of Dexamethasone:
There is a decreased availabilty of lymphocytes, eosinophils, basophils, monocytes,
These cells start redistributing and becomes less available and inactive for almost a day or two.
Also there is a decreased adhesion of these cells to blood vessel walls due to Dexamethasone, Actually the drug is not letting these immune cells to cross the wall of the vessel and go to the infection site (which is kinda cool cuz' no immune response no problem right? seriously why didnt evolution think of this?)
SECONDLY < there is a > decreased phagocytotic capacity of the immune cells so that they do not eat up the virus and form further exudates.
Finally leading to the decrease in respiratory burst (It is the area inside a phagocyte where we burn the pathogen inside the phagolysosome usually, in the case of Covid19,  later explodes and kills us, Dont worry the jokes' on evolution not us )
Now the first most remarkable thing Dexamethasone does is, that, it suppresses Macrophage activity.
Which is basically blocking the Arachidonic Acid Pathway, Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes, Interleukin 1, Interleukin 6 and TNF
Explaination :
IL-1 goes to the brain and causes fever and normally increases the production of steroids by stimulating the hypothalamus, but since we are giving Dexamethasone (which is a steroid) there's something called as a negative feedback and it decreases the natural physiological production of steroid, causing the person to be severely dependent on steroids; and if the person stops taking this steroid, he can eventually die due to acute adrenal insufficiency, thats the reason why we should always taper the dose when withdrawing a steroid.
Now,
The Interleukin 6 usually activates almost all other immune system actions (Remember that respiratory burst is also decreased and hence theres no signal from the MHC I and II to activate the immune system either)  but when it is suppressed by Dexamethoasone, it cannot activate the immune response like it normally would.
The second most important thing is that Dexamethasone down stimulates the cooperation between naive T cells and Interleukins
In Covid 19, Macrophage connects with the Naive T cells and there is a co-stimulation and can be two pathways. (depending on which interleukin is available for the naive T cell)
The first pathway:
In presence of Interleukin 4, these Naive T cells convert into T helper -1 cells which further increases Interleukin 4 and Interleukin 5 by positive feedback mechanism.
Finally causing the other cells of cell- mediated immunity, the "B-cells" to become active and produce antibodies which bind with the virus antigen and try to repeatedly neutralise it. (and kills us).
The Dexamethasone can potentially end all this suffering by attacking a gene known as GATA3 on the T helper 1 cell, (Remember Steroids suppress some immune genes it is just one of them) and hence GATA3 is suppressed, and therefore the chain is broken and there is no immune response ( yay, we alive now)
The second pathway :
If the naive t cell has Interleukin 12 available instead of Interleukin 4, it becomes T helper 2 cell, which produces Interleukin 2, which activates Cytotoxic T cells which produces some naughty proteins called perforins and granzymes.
These Perforin causes perforations in the infected cell and granzymes are then injected to that infected cell which makes the cell kind of commit suicide I guess ?. (and it kills us)
Dexamethasone acts on the T-bet gene on the T helper 2 cell which suppresses the further activation of immune response ( and hey we back to life again)
Now, ALL this information which just went over all of our heads is just the immune suppression of steroids, Lets not go in details with the EXTENSIVE collection of what Dexamethasone can actually achieve.
Please note the trials were done with Dexamethasone and not other corticosteroids mainly because of its wide availability, inexpensive nature, and most importantly because it is along acting Corticosteroid despite being the most potent among them
Dexamethasone also decreases inflammation
Explaination :
Our Cell membranes have a phospholipid bilayer, which is converted by PLA2( Phospholipase A2 ) enzyme to Arachidonic Acid. a) Arachidonic Acid is acted on By COXs ( Cyclooxygenases) to release PGE2F2, PGI2, Thromboxin A2 b) Arachidonic acid can be converted to Leukotrienes by LOXs (Lipooxygenase)
Dexamethasone can block the PLA2 enzyme and COX2 and COX1,  by producing Lipocortin 1, and therefore there's no formation of Arachidonic Acid in the first place, and the whole inflammatory system goes down. (Kudos to the structure of Dexamethasone)
Please, keep in mind that we do need the immune and inflammatory response in the early part of the disease but as their  actions overwhelm the healthy effects of the process, steroids can be used. Not too early, because it can actually worsen the disease if steroids are administered too early.
Some Side Effects which are to be kept in mind :
1. Withdrawl :
- Underlying disease which we were treating may rebound even stronger than before - Acute Adrenal Insufficiency - Pseudotumor Cerebri - Myalgias - Arthralgias - Malaise
2. Hyper use of steroid for long period :
- Fluid and electrolyte abnormalities - HTN ( more sodium retention) - Hyperglycemia ( gluconeogenesis) - Increased infection susceptibility (suppressed immune system) - Behavioral disturbances - Striae (fat redistribution)
While this is a serious concern for us as Indians, people are already stocking up Dexamethasone, price is most likely to spike up and things actually somehow do not work perfectly in India. Let's hope we learn from our mistakes in the past and just get this done and over with. PS - I will try to post more articles like this if I find something interesting regarding the pandemic. Thank you for the time. :)   Feel free to contact.

Will be able to Real Estate Still Be a Good Investment?
Tumblr media
That's a question we are all expecting today. Why? Because of the many stock market investors who speculated in real estate, the problems surrounding sub-prime loans with the ending up foreclosures and bank failures, and falling home rates. If the late Dr . David Schumacher, my mentor for those past 10 years and author of the now-famous book, Any Buy and Hold Strategies of Real Estate, were however around, I know what he would say because he believed it during the last downturn in 1990-1995. He would tell us will not worry. This is only temporary and part of the normal circuit of real estate. It creates bargains that can benefit you will. This cycle has been happening since Montgomery Ward developed offering homes for $1, 500 through its fashion magazines. As sure as the sun rises and the seasons can be purchased and go, real estate will make those who own it rich more than a period of time. He would add that now is the best time to get incredible bargains in real estate. The Real Estate Cycle Real estate is still the perfect investment possible. It always has and always shall do well in the long run. This is the fourth real estate cycle I have been by means of and non-e of the downturns were fun. However , if you have had patience and look at the long term, your real estate will go right up in value more than any other investment. Do not treat realty as you might treat the stock market, worrying about the ups and down. Since 1929, real estate has gone up typically five percent a year; if you stay away from the obvious non-appreciating locations like Detroit, it is more like seven percent a year. Within that rate, properties will double in value through 10 years with compounding. Add a federal tax benefit of twenty-eight percent plus state tax deductions, the depreciation write-off for rental property, and the eventual pay-down of the payday loan and you have a strategy rich people have always utilized to accumulate wealth. Flippers Over the past 30 years I have watched many flippers who buy, fix up, and market. I do not know many who have much net really worth or are wealthy because of flipping. It is simply a highly risky way to make money. Those who have prospered are the ones who sadly are in it for the long haul and patiently watch their qualities increase in value over time. This past downturn was created through speculators who all flipped at the same time, putting too many components on the market for sale and rental. I guarantee that covering the long haul, you will always regret selling any property you will have every owned. Buy and Hold Since time tickets by anyway, the buy-and-hold strategy is a great way to turned into rich. Dr . Schumacher experienced at least five real estate cycles and did extremely well, acquiring an eventual net worthwhile of over $50 million. You just can't go wrong on purchasing an inexpensive condo, townhouse, or single-family home from a good location where there are jobs. Make sure you have a fixed-rate loan, make sure it cash flows, hold on to it for the purpose of 10 to 20 years, and you have a property that has bending or even quadrupled in value. When you need to retire, only do a cash-out refinance to live on or to supplement the retirement pension. For example , the first property I purchased pertaining to $75, 000, a townhome in Lake Arrowhead, FLORIDA, is now worth $650, 000. My first oceanfront property, which I purchased in Long Beach, CA, in 1982 for $112, 000 and used as my place, is now worth $500, 000. One-bedroom condos I paid for in Maui, HI, in the late 1990s for $80, 000 are now worth $400, 000. Homes I bought round the same time in Phoenix, AZ, for $75, 000 are actually worth twice that. I could go on and on and regarding. What are your Options? What are your options to building wealth in these days? The options are to buy real estate and build wealth or to not purchase property at all, to struggle a lot and possess nothing to show for it. 1 . You could do nothing. The particular 25 percent who do not own a home end up with no sources when they retire. They have a car loan and owe an average of $9, 000 on their credit cards. Those who do not purchase rental place may be forced to work past age 65 to supplementation their meager retirement income. 2 . You can try to depend upon your retirement. The above chart shows that you should not depend on your own retirement income alone to support you, because it won't. The on Social Security or most retirement programs land up living below the poverty line and are forced to be effective until they drop, so that is not a solution. Other investment decision options are not doing so well, either. 3. Invest in any stock market. We are definitely in a slowdown (I refuse to feel we will have a recession), so the stock market is not going to flourish for several more years. 4. Invest in gold and silver. They have already crafted their run; it is doubtful they will do much better. Silver and gold are used as a hedge against inflation and a weak greenback. It looks like oil prices are headed down as well as dollar is strengthening. 5. Invest in real estate. Those who commit to real estate almost always do well. The following graph shows how the finest one percent in income have acquired their huge selection. As you can see, the vast majority have invested in real estate. Don't Think Short-Term Real estate is not designed to be considered short-term. Right now, real estate will be down in value in many cities, but it is going together in many others. It is a terrible time to sell and retrieve any equity. Only about five percent of the properties will be for sale. Most homeowners and investors are simply holding on in their real estate and are waiting for the next upward appreciation cycle. Typically the Four Greatest MISTAKES People Make in Real Estate Realty always does well when purchased correctly. It is folk's choices and sometimes greed that mess up an essentially perfect investment. MISTAKE #1. Purchasing Property That is Dozens Can Afford Often individuals are attracted to and purchase a home they cannot afford to pay for. They struggle their entire lives just to make the particular payments. Then if they have an illness, job loss, or perhaps divorce, they are in big trouble. MISTAKE #2. Selecting Properties That Don't Cash Flow When rental properties 're going up rapidly, everything seems desirable and people purchase nightly rental properties that don't cash flow. Often that can lead to problems with large, negative cash flows when the market softens. Properties that cash flow are a no-brainer. They are great it doesn't matter what happens. These are the ones you want to buy and hold. Gradually they will be paid off. MISTAKE #3. Refying Too Much Out Once prices are going up, one is tempted to take out the maximum amount able on an equity line on one, s home or instigate a cash-out refi on a rental property. That is dangerous should one cannot make the payments or support typically the negative. It is like abusing one's credit cards, which often leads to bankruptcy. It is especially discouraging when values drop under the loan amount, as is happening with many individuals right now. One should not get discouraged, they will eventually bring back to their original value and then surpass that, usually with 2½ to 4 years. MISTAKE #4. Getting the Erroneous Loans We have all seen the problems with sub prime borrowing products. Those with low incomes were not the only parties using all these loans. Some bought million-dollar homes in a gamble construct y would up in value. Five-year Option ARMS even became popular, but they caused major problems to the real estate investor when they reset. Loans like these should be refinanced straight away. The same is true for adjustable-rate mortgages. Fixed-rate loans is the only suitable loan type for anyone who plans to keep on to his properties. Second Quarter 2008 Shows Best part Sales are up in 13 states, especially in the states hit hardest (California up 25. 8%, Nevada away 25%, Arizona up 20. 5%, and Florida " up " 10%), a strong sign that the market has bottomed as well as returning to normal. In addition , 35 cities across the U. Utes. show an increase in prices from the first to the subsequently quarter. Yakima, WA, rose 9. 9%; Binghamton, NEW YORK, rose 8. 7%; and Amarillo, TX, rose 7. 2% from a year ago. Conclusion It is never exciting to be in a down cycle and see the equity in your residence and rental property slip away. However , do not be frustrated, this is just part of the cycle of real estate. These downward cycles are always good times to pick up more property within great prices, but be sure you keep a reserve just for unforeseen problems (such as illness or job loss) so you can still make your payments. Make sure you purchase good real estate in good locations, priced below the median rate for the area, in markets that have good job development. Properties will return to their 7-plus percent appreciation then you can watch your wealth build once again.

An Immensely Through Fine Dining Experience from the Brokest College Student Ever.
I’ve recently broken into my old, student email and was reunited with the dozens and dozens of papers I’ve written about dining in Culinary school. These papers scored me A’s and made me realize I possibly do have a future in writing. I’m still proud nearly two years later so I thought I’d share. Enjoy!
Introduction
I am a college student and with that, it’s practically needless to say that I am also broke, very broke. I, however, through great resilence have maintained my champagne dreams enough to actually see a fine dining experience. This is NYC, there had to be one I could afford. In my heavy search the top, three included Tocqueville, Del Posto, and Le Bernardin. These three I took into consideration because of there more affordable price range, beautiful display, and interior design I’ve seen online and (or) its popularity online. It was  Tocqueville that caught my eye. Located 1 East 15th Street in Manhattan, NYC. Tocqueville was most affordable as if they were thinking of college students like me who dreamt of a mouthful of caviar. The others came with a hefty price tag, ones that honestly made very nervous. To me, a $10 burrito Chipotle sounds like a luxury so you can imagine my reaction in finding out Le Bernardin restaurant that costs over $87 for its pri-fixe menu. It doesn’t sound like a shocking expense to some but on this side of the fence, it is.  Del Posto was a little more affordable at $50 but it still wasn’t in my price range.  Luckily, Tocqueville provided the most inexpensive pri-fixe menu only costing $36 for a three-course menu. I felt relieved. I decided this restaurant is my final choice.
Tocqueville, named after the French political sociologist and theorist is owned by husband and wife Marco Moreira and Joann Makovitzky who also own new restaurants 15th East and The Fourth in the same city. With no trouble found I found that the Chef is Jason Lawless on StarChefs.com. He has managed the kitchen since August 2011. The restaurant itself has been opened since 2000 and in seventeen years it has built its reputation of being one of the most innovative French-American restaurants in New York City. You can see from how modern chic yet classic they truly are by their restaurant design. From the photographs provided on the official website, tocquevillerestaurant.com - the look of the restaurant is a cool but clean creamy white and black color scheme. I can tell it is a place that provides excellence a traditional fine dining restaurant would hold but pulls themselves away from being boring and ordinary. I adore the minimalistic and classic take. Their dishes and plating looked absolutely sparkling as well. The picture heading the page of their menu category was the Grilled Filet of Beef. A pearly white plate of succulent meat topped with small diced tomatoes, red onion and herbs were appetizing enough for me to set a reservation for a party of two with a close friend.
`Making the reservation was fairly easy. Once I called a person who sounded to be a young woman answered sweetly. I asked to make a reservation and she was very quick and efficient. There wasn’t any of the run around that I had anticipated. The space I wanted was open. It didn’t take any more than say four minutes. I was surprised. I expected the restaurant to be packed with reservations especially on a Friday. We talked for a short while after about what will partake once I arrived. The phone call was my first experience with Tocqueville’s true hospitality. It made me all the more comfortable with coming in and dining.
My expectations in visiting Tocqueville are sky-high. For one, it is a fine dining restaurant. I’ve never been to one. This is exciting, I want it to be fascinating. Above all, I am looking forward to the food. Since I’m a meat and a wine lover the Red Wine Braised Short Rib sounds appetizing. I cannot wait. There is a bit of nervousness about the way the employees will treat me, however. I am visibly very young and a person of color. I sometimes feel when I enter nice places that I’m not supposed to be there. I feel like the oddball. In past experiences the waiters did nothing to eliminate that feeling, making me more unsettled with long stares and awkward treatment. Other guests dining had body language that expressed that I was ruining the atmosphere for them.  I hope that doesn’t happen this time but as always I am remaining positive. From what I know now Tocqueville is a beautiful restaurant with a kind, warm friendliness. I’m counting down the days till the visit.
The Visit
I woke up a Friday morning with a Ferris Buller-type charisma and energy. I was going to visit a beautiful fine dining restaurant in the city! I have never been to a French restaurant before much less one that was seemingly so elegant. I had the jitters. What should I wear? How should I do my hair? Which train should I take? Is my friend going to be on time? Did I give her the right directions? A million and one questions running through my head. I thought I ought to relax my nerves before I begin my day. I snugged my feet into my orange fluffy slippers and made my way to the kitchen. I picked a Lavender Jasmine mix tea from my collection to boil. Tea always soothes the soul. I brought my mug to the window and looked out for a moment. The day was chilly, sunny but very chilly. “How am I going to dress nicely and still be warm?” I asked myself then take a short sip. I was still nervous but pushed to let it go and know everything will go well.
My reservation was at 12pm sharp for lunch. It was already about 8am and I know how slow I can be with getting ready in the morning so I start right away. I jump into the hot shower, brush my teeth and prep my skin with scrubs and cleansers for makeup. I hop out, dry off, put most of my day’s clothes on and begin to do my makeup. This takes the longest out of getting ready. I try to see if I can get it done within 30 minutes' time. Nope! It took me almost an hour because I kept messing up but luckily I started early so I was still in good time. I decide on a long, oversized, grey sweater that flows over my black leggings. I pair it jet black heels. Next, was my hair, I have natural, kinky curly hair that usually needs lots of attention but yesterday I braided it up. All l had to do now was unravel them so they can come out fluffy and defined. Once all my clothes were on, fully moisturized, fixed my hair and makeup done and feeling confident to step outside it is 10am. I get a text from my friend, who I invited to dine with me.  “I don’t know what to wear!” she texts. She thinks she’s going to be late. I knew it but I didn’t stress. I tell her don’t think too much in it, just wear something nice but no jeans or sneakers. She tells me she’ll figure it out. I just hope she makes it on time. I make sure everything around the apartment is tidy and in order before I head out the door. I text my mother that I am leaving to go to the restaurant since she’s already at work. She texts me “Good luck!” and I’m out the door.
I live on a very popular, main street in Brooklyn. It’s loud and lively this time of day. People are heading to work and school in droves. Walking down the block to catch the A train I run into a family friend I haven’t spoken to in a long time. So long, in fact, I can’t even remember her name but her face is vivid in my memory. She asks how I am. I tell her about school and how much I love majoring in Hospitality Management since I’ve transferred from the old school. I keep in mind the time and explain to her I’m on my way to somewhere important and have to get going. She reminds me to say hello to my mother for her and I rush into the train station. Luckily the train arrives immediately. I’m not a train girl not in the least. I know it’s the New York way but I love traveling on an empty bus as oppose to a crowded train with performers yelling “It’s Showtime!” in my ear. It’s not my cup of tea. While I’m on the train I read a Pete Wells article I’ve pointed out. I need to know his review for a class. I’m really into it because I’m a fan of sushi. It’s one of my absolute favorites. The good read distracts me from the groups of people stuffing themselves into the cart along with the street entertainers swirling on poles above my head. I’m thankful.
My stop is a Fulton Street which I switch over to a 4 or 5 train because it gets me to Union Square under ten minutes. Once I climb out of the train station I check my phone. There’s a text from my friend she says she needs more time but is about to get on the train now! It was 11:23am and we planned to meet at 11:30am. I guessed she lost track of time. I decided to find a way. I am kind of scared to walk in so I wait right outside the restaurant to wait for my friend meanwhile taking a few pictures of my own. It’s nearly 12pm but she is nowhere in sight.
I go inside to introduce myself to a woman who I believe is the Maître d’ of the restaurant. I tell her my reservations and how I am a student doing a report. Her face suddenly gleams in a huge smile and asks if I talked to Roger. I express I don’t know who Roger is even though I feel I should know. She tells me to sit down which she gets him for me. In a few minutes, Roger is in front of me. A short, well-suited older man with blonde white hair. I don’t recognize him but he says he’s a professor at my school. He begins to ask me questions about wine. I was taken aback a little because I wasn’t expecting it. I tell him my Wine & Beverage professor that I’m taking now, Professor Aliah. I convey how much I’m enjoying her class and all the elements in detail there is to wine-making. It turns out Professor Roger is a Master Sommelier. I wished I said more about wine to him but I was so nervous I’m not used to settings like these.  My friend still wasn’t there after the talk with Roger. I told him I’d wait a bit longer she is supposed to come any second and he told me to take all the time I need. In the meantime, I took pictures and looked around the restaurants outside and the entryway. The name of the dining establishment is printed white on a black sight like a tent over the sidewalk.  The door where the guest enter is made up of all glass. It is chic, modern and simplistic. The Maitre D’s desk in the reception appeared tall, sleek, dark wood tabletop with a shiny, brown wooden, dimmed lamp. There are also award plaques and photos framed all along the wall. Their awards included the 2016 Forbes Magazine’s Restaurant with the highest rating. Best of Award of Excellence 2016 by Wine Spectacular and a 4.8 out of 5 from Zagat 2017. The restaurant is not just popular but highly respected and celebrated, making its way to more great success is that they’ve been recently recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2016.
-
 I looked at the time on my phone and it said 12:30am. Since I was already checked in I figured I was safe from losing my reservation but I opted to seat in the dining room than to take up space in the front seating area any longer. To get to the dining room one needed to pass by the bar. The bar designed with a black and silver color scheme was the most modern section in the restaurant. On the bar top sat a huge marble vase filled with light blue, yellow and pastel green orchids that touched the ceiling. Soothing French jazz spilled gently out of the above speakers. The ambiance, graceful and contemporary. I was in awe. I actually hoped I could have my lunch there.   As soon as I sat down Roger offered me water and the front server – who name escapes me handed me a menu. I told him I wanted to wait for a friend. He was very kind and understood. Pouring the water I realize the glasses were short, open chalice glasses, still easy to hold by them small stem. It was fifteen minutes later when I heard my friend’s voice speaking to the Maitre D’ in the reception area. Seconds later she came walking in the dining area and sat down. She apologized for the lateness. I’ve been late to her events before so I could only be so upset. Seconds later the front server returned to hand us menus.
-
The menus were the longest menus I’ve seen. The outside a smooth olive green, the outside a yellow and cream menu with a folder style with all its printed dishes in bold and script. The front server in his black and white uniform finished with a sharp blue tie read over some of the meals that were listed. I appreciated his attentiveness. His body language was confident, alert to where I was impressed by his time and time again throughout the service. He was very efficient when scanning the room and our table. I took the opportunity to ask him the style of the napkin fold, neither did Professor Roger. “We simply make up the style,” he told me. The back server then came up to us from a side station behind the elongated gold curtains and offered bread. I was watching his Frenching style closely. He did it so quickly, it looked easy for him. When I attempt it in class I often lose the stability of the utensils in my hand. I chose the focaccia which was scrumptious. It was dense but not overbearing with flavor. The focaccia was filled with olives, spices, herbs and was beyond incredible with the home-made butter. I asked for another.
-
My friend and I talked about our morning getting ready and caught up with each other’s lives since we haven’t talked in a month. In perfect timing, the front server came to take our orders. We picked two courses from the pri-fix menu. I ordered the Organic Potato and Baby Leeks Soup as an appetizer and a Red Wine Braised Short ribs entrée. As we waited for our meals and the back server pointed each of our tables I observed the dining area. The dining area was mildly lit from the light gold, sparkling crystal chandelier from above. The walls were a warm yellow with rich, gold curtains to match. The seats were made up of a comfortable cool silver, velvet. My attention was grabbed by the gigantic paintings on the wall that was created by an artist named Cheryl Roy Starer. The abstract art stood up on the walls so stunning with its blends of green, blue and white. It was a conversation piece definitely.  We were met with a unique hors d'oeuvres compliments of the Chef. It’s a fresh new take on the Southern-known treat. It’s a toasted golden brioche topped with the cooked yolk and whites of a quail eggs and finished with Alabama caviar.  The deviled eggs we centered on an all-white porcelain dish designed by Bernardaud Classic Silverware. This was my first time having caviar. The flavors delicate and salty reminded me of sardines in a way. The texture was cold creamy goodness. I wished I could have more. As we scrapped the crumbs from whatever was left of the exquisite deviled egg dish the back server approached us again to offer more bread. This reminded me of my Dining Room class where we service almost the same exact way, consistently offering our guest all the bread and quail eggs whites hard-boiled finished with Alabama caviar.  The deviled eggs centered on an all-white porcelain dish designed by Bernardaud Classic Silverware. This reminded me of my Dining Room class where we service almost the same exact way, consistently offering our guest all the bread they’d like. It was nice to be on the other side of the service. I chose the focaccia again. I could not get enough. This time however I was able to dip it into the Potato Leek soup which arrived moments later. When I first saw the bowl it was only filled with sautéed’ black mushroom and a miniature leek in the center of the bowl. I thought to myself there must be a mistake. Turns out the front server came prepared with a tiny creamer pitcher and poured the creamy soup into the bowl right in front of me. It was original and added a special touch. To be completely honest, I was expecting the soup to be bland. I’ve had potato soups so lackluster I pushed myself to finish a bowl. This wasn’t the case. The soup was luscious and silky, earthy with just enough seasoning. The soup was so harmonious with my pallet I was tempted to lick the bowl. I reminded myself I was in a very classy place but it was difficult not to, simply divine! When the entrée arrived I was the most enthusiastic. I am a huge meat lover. Anything meat I am a fan of. I’ll choose it over anything in the menu. I looked at the plate in front of me. The dish appeared kind of odd. My image of short-ribs wasn’t this. The dish came in a wide, circular plate. The meat of short rib formed in a rectangle, an island centered in the middle of potato puree. The short rib was glossed over with a deep brown red wine sauce that resembled chocolate. A lady sitting across from our table asked what dessert we ordered. We told her it was actually an entrée and she was surprised. On top of the short rib sat a roasted pearl onion and cylinder chunks of buttered carrots. The short rib melted on my fork as I cut through it. It was wonderfully tender, I didn’t need a knife. The flavor was robust, the sauce adding a vigorous taste of richness. Swirling a piece of the meat through the potato puree and putting it in my mouth it felt like I was eating butter. It has to be the most well-presented, heavenly dishes I’ve experienced in recent years.  Unfortunately, I was unable to order a dessert since I was on such a strict budget. Next time I’d make sure to experience the sweet parts of their cuisines.
-
It took a while before the check came and I appreciate that. Usually, the front server passes the check to me as soon as the last fork bite leaves my mouth and I find it disrespectful. It hints that the server wants you to hurry up and leave completely killing the feeling of hospitality. My friend and I were fully ready to go when the bill came. It came up to $63.15 for both of us, not too pricey. We decided to tip 20% then we were on our way out but not before I could check out the bathrooms. There were three available bathrooms in the restaurant. One upstairs, one ground level and the other downstairs. I chose the downstairs bathroom. The staircase down was dark with small, glowing gold light to lead the way. The bathroom was covered in light and dark brown marble. The look gave a beach house theme added with the beige weaved baskets and dried plants spray painted gold. The vases were filled with white seashells. The walls were a sexy, dark gold against a shiny, wide mirror. The light was too dimmed, however. I couldn’t see myself as clearly as I would like. The bathroom was also extremely clean, immaculate even. I could tell the restaurant as a whole took tidiness and organization seriously.  I enjoyed myself thoroughly at this restaurant. The ambiance and décor gave me what I wanted, fully satisfying my eyes as well as mouth with every savory dish. I’m glad I decided to come here as opposed to other establishments. It was affordable yet delivered an essence of great fine dining. I plan on going with another friend for a celebration. I’ll try everything I had my eye on the second time around. The restaurant met all expectations and taught me an extra thing or two about quality service. It ensured a tranquil sense of hospitality and an intuitive and refreshing strategy in service. I’d recommend the restaurant to absolutely anyone.

DJI Osmo Mobile 3 review
Tumblr media
DJI is popularly known as a manufacturer of drones and handheld stabilizers for cameras. Even though it recently entered the field of action cameras with the Osmo Action, its strengths remain in the production of high-quality gimbals for smartphones and cameras. The most recent launch was Osmo Mobile 3, the handheld stabilizer for 3rd generation smartphones. This 3-axis gimbal is a great tool for content creation, especially if your phone doesn't have the best electronic or optical stabilization. The Osmo Mobile 3 gets some nice improvements over its predecessor. It is now foldable to improve mobility. has better ergonomics; and has new shortcuts and gestures. We've been using the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 for about a week now, and here's what we think of it.
DJI Osmo Mobile 3 design and features
The Osmo Mobile 3 is available in India as a standalone device for Rs. 8,999 or as a "combo" for Rs. 10,999, which includes a hard carrying case and an Osmo Grip tripod. The latter does not add extra height to the gimbal, but has foldable feet so that when closed, it can be used as an extended handle or as a normal tripod. The Osmo Mobile 3 weighs only 405 g and is therefore quite light. The handle and most parts of the gimbal itself are made of plastic, but the quality is very good. The handle is covered with plenty of rubber to additionally support the sweaty palms. The arm of the gimbal can now be folded to make it easier to carry. You can even attach a phone to it when folded, which is convenient. With the 3-axis stabilization, you can perform tilting, rolling and swiveling movements while recording. The main buttons are located on the front of the handle. This includes a multi-directional joystick and buttons for recording and switching between the recording modes (& # 39; M & # 39;). There is a zoom control on the left and a USB Type-C port for charging on the right.
Tumblr media
The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 has ergonomically placed buttons on the handle The Osmo Mobile 3 also has a full-size USB Type-A port on the handle in case you need to charge your phone while recording. Finally, we have an ergonomically placed release button on the back of the handle that can be used to reset the position of the phone. Depending on the number of clicks, the sport mode can also be activated and the tilt axis locked, and you can switch between the rear and front cameras of your phone. The Osmo Mobile 3 has a standard tripod mount on the bottom, so you can attach it to any tripod for time-lapse photography, or use the included tripod when you buy the combo package. The packaging contains a basic quick guide, a USB-C cable, a wrist strap and a soft storage bag. We received the combination package for review, which also contains the housing and the tripod. The hard shell case is of good quality and stiff enough to provide good protection. We only wish it was big enough to accommodate the tripod.

DJI Osmo Mobile 3 performance
Before switching on this device, you have to open it, which is very easy thanks to the spring-loaded arm. Thanks to carefully placed grooves and latches, the arms of the gimbal snap into place when folded so that it does not accidentally unfold. The gimbal must be activated before you can insert your phone into the terminal. To do this, you need to download and log in to the DJI Mimo app, which is available in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. As soon as you have gone through the setup process, which also checks and downloads all available firmware updates for the gimbal, you can use Osmo Mobile 3. The gimbal automatically tries to center the installed phone. However, you can also manually adjust the position by holding the tilt motor. You can also calibrate the position and angle of the phone using an option in the Mimo app. The Osmo Mobile 3 is compatible with most of today's popular cell phones, but not all functions are available for all cell phones. For example, slow motion videos and 60fps videos in the Mimo app are currently only available on iPhones. 4K recording is not yet available on some Android phones like the Realme X2 Pro (review), but on others like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (review). Even if your phone is not in the list, you can still use all the basic functions of the app. Hopefully we should see better support in future releases. We tested the Osmo Mobile 3 with a variety of mobile phones such as the Redmi Note 8 (test), the Realme X2 Pro Master Edition, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the Apple iPhone 11 Pro. The holder for the phone is also cleverly designed so that it does not come into contact with one of the buttons and you can really center it. We noticed that all of the phones we tested got quite warm after using the Mimo app for a long time and the batteries were quickly discharged as a result. If you are not taking pictures, turn off the screen or put the gimbal into standby to save power for both devices. With Osmo Mobile 3, you can record professional-looking, stabilized videos with little effort. This is particularly useful on phones that don't have electronic stabilization or don't do a good job. With the Redmi Note 8, for example, 4K videos are recorded in good quality without stabilization during the day. The Osmo Mobile 3 fixes this problem and makes an otherwise unusable video clip look like it was recorded with a much more expensive phone. We even tried recording a video while zooming in, which causes blurring even with tiny movements. The gimbal made a big difference even while walking. If you have a high-end phone with optical stabilization, taking photos in low light is still a challenge. A stabilizer for such situations is noticeable in the end result.
Tumblr media
The DJI Mimo app offers good functions for recording and controlling the Osmo Mobile 3 In addition to standard photos and videos, the Mimo app also offers other recording modes and functions. You can use it to record professional-looking time-lapse videos in which you can set the path that the gimbal follows for the duration of the time-lapse. Hyperlapse videos are also possible, and we really liked the end results even with a cheap phone like the Redmi Note 8. In story mode, you can easily create short stories. All you have to do is select a template and follow the instructions to record short clips that are then automatically merged with transitions, on-screen text and music. You also have the option of instantly sharing these clips on social platforms. For panoramas, you can choose a 180-degree shot or a wider shot that captures a lot more angles. With the latter, however, the end result didn't always look good, and we occasionally noticed inconsistencies in sewing. In addition, the gimbal of the Osmo Mobile 3 can only be rotated to a limited extent so that you cannot take 360-degree photos or panoramas on it.
Tumblr media
A 3x3 panorama that was combined with the Redmi Note 8 by the DJI Mimo app The Osmo Mobile 3 also has ActiveTrack 3.0, which is available via the Mimo app. You can select the object you want to follow through the viewfinder. The gimbal tracks it automatically to make sure it's always in the center of the frame. It worked very well with people, but not so much with fast moving objects. There is a sport mode that can be activated by pressing and holding the shutter button twice. This enables an active tracking of the object in the middle of the frame and increases the speed of the motors so that the gimbal can swivel and tilt faster. ActiveTrack 3.0 can also be activated by showing the camera a palm or a V-sign. However, this must be activated in the settings of the app. Other gestures include double tapping the mode button to rotate the phone horizontally or vertically. and triple-tap the shutter button to switch between the front and rear cameras. You can also activate the quick menu, which allows you to use the joystick to navigate through all shooting modes so that you never have to reach for your phone's screen. DJI specifies a battery life of up to 15 hours. We noticed that the battery life is actually around 10 hours in actual use, which is still not a bad thing. We believe that this should be more than enough runtime for everything you will be filming at the same time. The Osmo Mobile 3 can be used while charging, so you can use it for longer. It took approximately two and a half hours to fully charge when connected to a 10W adapter.
Tumblr media
The DJI Osmo Mobile 3 works with almost any phone, but some features of the Mimo app are only available on some models judgment The DJI Osmo 3 is an incredibly entertaining device and a must for any serious content creator. Even for casual users, it is a very practical accessory when you are on vacation or just like to make home videos. The best part is that it is easy to use and even videos recorded with an inexpensive smartphone can look more professional. We love how compact it gets when folded up. The subject tracking function works well for people. and the Mimo app offers useful shooting modes. We hope that DJI updates the app to support more resolutions and frame rates on a wider range of Android phones. The starting price of Rs. 8,999 is very good considering the performance and functions that this device offers. We recommend putting a bit more money in the combo package, as the case is a must if you travel a lot and the tripod is very convenient for time-lapse photography. Price: Case 8,999 (base model); Case 10,999 (combo model) benefits Comfortable and portable Very good stabilization Easy to use Useful companion app Decent battery life disadvantage Object tracking could be better Read the full article

Ficlet: “Between Friends”
Inquisitor Olivia Sinclair
A snapshot memory from the Lady Inquisitor’s earlier life in the Ostwick Circle with her friends. Rated NSFW for discussion of sexual activities.
A/N: this was originally intended to be a snapshot in this most recent chapter update of “Fire in Her Mouth,” but I ended up cutting it out. But I thought it would be nice to still share. Enjoy!
--
9:34 Dragon, Ostwick –
            Seven taps on the door. No less, and no more: that is how she knew to scoot her cold feet across the floor to unlock and welcome her visitors. It was the middle of the night during the guard change in the halls – the girls had timed and tracked it down to the minutes as most everyone their age did to outsmart the Templars. Nearly everything they did that was not studying, eating, cleaning, or sleeping required such discretion. The stringency and secrecy kept childish activities -- like sneaking away to bunk with your best friends to giggle and gossip -- exciting even in adulthood. At the age of 20 Olivia had yet to grow tired of hearing the timid taps on the old door, for she knew it meant Theia and Veronica huddled together on the other side. Simple, inexpensively made and shapeless linen night dresses and dark blankets pulled over their heads and shoulders making them look like beggar women coming in from the cold.
Olivia was always the headquartered hideaway: her dormmates were not as socially savvy as Theia’s and Veronica’s were. Or, at least, that is what she said when they asked why they all rolled onto their sides rather than rat them out. Olivia had bartered with them for years, exchanging what she could for their silence: doing their homework for them, providing her notes from lectures and assigned readings, and tutoring whoever needed it. Everyone trusted the Orlesian blonde because everyone had something to lose should they disavow her.
            Climbing into her cot, she and Theia sprawled out while Veronica set out her blanket on the floor. She would feel for any aches or creaks in the wood floor panels in case the Templars had picked up on their trail or their giggling.
            “Tell me everything,” Olivia squealed with delight, rubbing Theia on her shoulder.
            “Oh, come now, it is nothing,” Apprentice Trevelyan replied, hugging her knees to her chest and exposing her feet and ankles.
            “Do not give me that coy act! You were gone for an hour!”
            “Felt like an age, though.” Veronica interjected with a wry grin, sitting on one hip with a knee propped up. “I had to nearly flash the man to get him to keep distracted.”
            Theia choked back a laugh, pressing her fingers to her mouth. Olivia was lit up with wonder. Being a triad often meant two girls were complicit in trouble while the other was kept out for plausible deniability. Two girls’ antics was an anomaly – three was a conspiracy, and Templars already blamed Mages for being inherently duplicitous. Their growing older meant they were less and less able to blame youthful ignorance. Not that they were granted much to begin with in the first place. Faced with them both staring her down, Olivia with sweetness and Veronica with clever expectation, Theia caved.
            “…It was an hour, but she did not last more than 10 minutes.”
            Olivia blushed hot and throwing her hands up. Both her and Veronica went after her, patting and swatting at her. They were piss poor at stifling laughter and ragging. Theia nearly fell off the side of the beg, arms covering her face and top of her head.
            “Stop it, stop! before they catch us.”
            “I cannot believe you!” Olivia scolded, “you told me she was nothing but a girl to cheat off of for examinations.”
            Veronica rolled her eyes, reclining back on her hands when she was done hitting. “Typical.”
            “I thought she was, too! But…what can I say, I…liked her handwriting.”
            “Oh, you!” Olivia hit her again on the side of her thigh. “The poor girl must think you worship her like Andraste and you are just pilfering.”
            “Who said Andraste’s worshippers aren’t pilferers?” Veronica mused, “at least Theia knows where the true booty is.”
            Theia smirked heavy and kicked at Veronica with her foot hanging off the bed. Tucking her chin and appearing demure, she wasn’t convincing any of her friends. This was but another conquest in the long line of tall tales she could divulge at any given moment and have every peer in the room mesmerized with her mastery. The Circle was prohibiting of many things one would consider benign staples to pleasant life. But when enough young Mages saw a mutual benefit in covering for one another’s amorous escapades, especially those that risked no chance of pregnancy, there were ways of circumventing these truths. Theia’s interludes were the work of no less than three other Mage women in concerted effort to cover while her and her tryst had their time. It was a habitual gamble Olivia was seldom tempted to try.
            She sighed and rest her cheek on her bent knee. “What was it like?”
            “Cold.”
            “I mean it!”
            “So do I! The window was open, and she ripped half my gown off. I had her shivering, and she had me shivering. Only one of us was doing it of ecstasy.”
            Veronica shook her head. “When that happens, you stop complaining and make her thighs your ear muffs, you quitter.”
            Olivia raised a brow at her haughty suggestion, and it only went higher when she turned and saw Theia’s guilty expression as she looked down at her lap and bit her lip again.
            “Theia Sofia…” Olivia gasped low.
            “I said she had ripped half my gown off, I never said I did not return the favor…” Theia shimmied her shoulders with bravado. Her dress slid off one and hung loosely, barely tied at the chest as she laid back on the bed fully. She curled her legs up in the air playfully, needling Olivia in the side with her toes.
            “Come on, Olivia…”
            “How clever, together you made one naked woman,” Veronica once again one for the obvious but colorful.
            Olivia was unimpressed as she always tried to be. Something about not wanting to seem naïve, and dreading that it was already in plain sight for her friends to make fun of. Shirking Theia’s tickling toes away she grabbed her feather-stuffed, flat pillow to put against her stomach. She backed herself up against the wall and closed herself off from preeminently from the teasing, all the while Theia had her eyes on her, reading her bashful discomfort with those affectionately seasoned eyes and crooked smile. Theia was always so smooth, so easy on the eyes and the heart. Her stark appearance covered for a personality that was like velveteen: you always wanted to touch her, to be touched by her, whichever got her on your skin.
            “I am…not disagreeing or judging you,” Olivia answered at last, tilting her head. “I am just unaccustomed. By choice, to be sure.”
            “By choice, to be sure,” Veronica mocked Olivia’s Orlesian accent. A boorish caricature, but one that got the joke across. “I’m not about to sit through another hour of sifting through Madame Gem’s smallclothes looking for the key.” She ran her fingers through her hair and let the waves of dark brunette fall around her face and shoulders. Cool and acidic even at the age of eighteen.
            Theia turned her head towards Ro and furrowed her brow in disagreement. “Easy, now. Let her be.”
            “Everyone in the Circle knows to let Madame be,” Veronica countered. “Books and bottles, not bosoms and bottoms. That is what the sing behind her back. We ought to squash it.”
            Olivia inhaled and held her breath against the mention of the unrelenting teasing she had sustained for years since her first days in Ostwick. First, she had been the elitist Orlesian princess, prim and snobby. Then, she was a young hussy when people saw her advance expediently through her class ranks and apprenticeship duties, for surely no young Mage could do so without dealing something out. Then, when those rumors waned, she became a hybrid of the dichotomy: an irreproachable paragon, conservative but tempting. Coveted, but closeted. Having friends who were louder and more apt to answer slander with sucker punches helped.
            She shrugged and pulled her hair over one shoulder. “I don’t mind it. It is hardly consequential. I spend all my time in the library or in the formulas hall, anyway.”
            Theia tucked her chin as she gazed down the other end of the bed at her sweet, fair friend. “Are you certain, Gem?”
            “Yes. The last thing I want is theatrics.”
            “Pfft,” Veronica folded her arms and leaned against the small drawer nightstand accompanying her bed.
            Later that night conversation and shit-shooting gave into sleep. Veronica remained on the floor, ever vigilant for disturbances even when sleep neutralized her senses. She was the first to doze off, while Theia and Olivia shared space in bed and one pillow between both their heads. It was often just so: Veronica, or maybe Roslyn, sleeping soundly while the two of them talked story. There were times when Olivia looked forward to them more than the initial time spent with the entire group.
            “She kissed like a cat licks at cream, I swear,” Theia said as she curled her fingers to her chin. “I was so confused.”
            Olivia scrunched her nose in distaste. “Ugh, I hate the sound of that.”
            “Hate the sound of it? You did not have to endure it.”
            “So, there was nothing redeemable about it? Nothing at all?”
            Theia contorted her mouth to one side of her face as she looked away. Sincere pondering from someone so well-known for her sarcasm. “She has soft hands. And her voice. Her voice is nice…I suppose.”
            Olivia cuddled her head into her pillow. “She snorts when she laughs, I’ve heard her in the study wing.”
            “She does not!”
            “Yes, she does! Like a pig caught with its breeches down!”
            Theia smiled broadly, a breathy laugh harboring itself in the back of her throat. “Is there even such a thing?”
            Shrugging her shoulder, Olivia bit down on her finger nail. “Maybe so, since she sounds like it.”
            “Oh, hush up. You are more venomous than you play.”
            Theia was right. She was always right. Just because Olivia did not open her mouth and show off the perceptive skills she had been raised to sharpen, did not mean that her rhetorical weapons had dulled. Opinions were opinions, with or without expression. But the last thing the world needed was her cunning point of view, especially when Theia and Veronica were so much better at it than she was. Cool and edgy, while she was meek and underwhelming.
            After chuckling a bit, Theia’s smile fell a bit. “Olivia, you know what Veronica said…”
            “Yes? What of it?”
            Theia paused, caution in her eyes where there once was comfortability. “Are you…are you honestly so unaffected by what everyone says?”
            The question was a fair one. Acidic assumptions had tried again and again to condemn Olivia to little more than posh inconsequence. Yet she had prevailed, remaining true to her single-minded goals. Being so consistent would preclude either a dissonant ego or a proficient façade in the face of adversity.
            Olivia’s gaze went in search of any captivating sight while she pondered her response.
            “I…I am. They can think what they wish to. I am doing what I want to be doing.”
            “Yes, but are you not hungering for something? Anything…different?”
            “What do you mean?”
            Theia blinked, her eyes going from Olivia’s lips to her eyes back and forth, fast and fleeting. “Do you not want to be loved?”
            “I am loved, silly,” Olivia rebuked, “by you, and Veronica, and Roslyn…is love not known in ways outside of amorous affection?”
            The conversation paused. Theia looked like she was chewing on something mentally: the way her expression steadied and panicked at the same time, the way she held her clutched hand close to her chin, half-covering her pensive mouth. She clearly did not empathize with Olivia’s indifference. For someone as talented, beautiful, and beguiling as her, it was understandable why she would see what little slice of the world they had as her stomping ground. Even in a Circle tower. A few scant strands of her ice white hair fell a bit more into her face, unkept by her braid.
            “If you ever…” she stopped and blinked nervously. “Look, I…”
            Olivia watched her, nonplussed with her sudden shift in attitude. “What are you saying?”
            “If you…” Theia tried again but stopped herself. She broke her stare, looking down at their knees curled against each other.
            “Spit it out, Theia, before I fall asleep,” Olivia tucked her head against her flattened hands and closed her eyes. This was a time before the nightmares, a time when sleep was trusted. It was all the more decadent when shared with the women who had become her family, even when they wanted to talk her ear off while she drifted into slumber.
            “…If you ever wanted to…to see if you would…if you like women that way. I would…you know.”
            Olivia opened her eyes in a flash, looking as if Theia had chirped like a bird rather than speak.
            “You mean…!?”
            Theia looked like a deer caught by hunters in the field, realizing too late that she was in the path of an arrow. “I…I was just saying, if you desired it to be with someone you trusted. A friend.”
            Olivia scoffed. “Theia, dump out whatever water you have been drinking, because clearly it has you going mad.”
            “I am not mad, I was—”
            “Theia.”
            Olivia stared her down with assurance, even in her softness. She could never rebuke Theia caustically, even when her ideas were absurd. Deep down, Theia always had the best intentions. But she had stepped too far into the sanctum of Olivia’s life she had ensured would never be encroached on. The last thing she needed was to cultivate material for the Circle to further gossip about her. Once more, she had seen what could become of Theia’s lovers and flirtations: the way girls were objectified and demeaned, even when Theia stood up for them. She would not be one of them.
            Seeing the confidence in Olivia’s disposition, Theia backed down. “Forget I ever said anything,” she smirked sorely, “I just wanted to help.”
            “I know you did,” Olivia grinned as she reached and stroked Theia’s forearm. “But, trust me, I have all that I could ever need and want; people can talk all they want, I know they are simply jealous.”
            Theia’s embarrassed look softened then, her face relaxing into restful solace. She nuzzled into the limp pillow and placed her hand on the one Olivia had extended to her.
            “You are right. The measured one, as always,” Theia gave in, closing her eyes and settling in.
            Olivia watched her friend, her protective ally, in all her humble sincerity. Willing to offer herself and her body as if she could legitimize her and defend her in the face of slander. She was worth so much more than a resource.
            They never spoke like that after that night. One would hope it was due to respectful understanding, but like so many things between close friends, the lines were not that clean. Olivia would never know for sure whether it was trust, or the fact that several weeks later a black-haired and eloquent fellow Apprentice by the name of Odessa began her advances. Moves and maneuvers that, strangely, Olivia would not turn away. For some intuitive reason she could not explain, she knew Theia would be upset by it: which is why it took several more weeks and rumors passed through the grapevine for it to come to light at last. By that time, Odessa’s hands had been all over her, deep and direct as they were considerate. Something in the way Theia looked at her changed forever. Womanhood had come calling for the young Foxes.
