The viking garb I got to have something well I work on ongoing sewing projects is only 1 layer, vs the like 7 layers the Spanish garb is going to be. How did everyone in 1500's Spain not melt.
#SCA#the main layers are shirt - kertle - gown#But the bodice of the kertle is at least 3 layers (two of Canves + one of linen) and the Gown is going to be 2-3 layers#(plus whatever is needed in addition to making it fighting safe)
