Masterlist - groups

I've decided to make two masterlists for those who want to read my stories. This one will feature them aggregated by group, catering to those who like them the most when they come from certain groups. The difference between this one and the chronological list is that a story can appear more than once under different groups, in case either the idol has been part of more than one group or idols from different groups are featured, therefore making it a much longer list. note: In celebration of my adorable shrunkly scrimbly cater diamond’s birthday, here’s an alphabet for him!

A ffection - what is their love language?

Words of affirmation: He likes to drop you sweet messages from time to time, before he sleeps or after he wakes up. When you need someone to cheer or hype you up, he’s always ready to drown you in his endless sweet compliments. 

Quality time: Be ready to go on tons of dates with Cater, because his barrel of ideas is endless. If he sees a scenic spot online, he’ll make a mental note to bring you there next time. That being said, sometimes he would rather stay indoors with you, where you can do everything or nothing. In public you can have tons of fun, but in private he can remove his energetic and cheery mask for a while. In short, he is content with pretty much everything so long as you’re spending time together.

B etrayal - how they react to you being the villain all along.

Surprise, hurt, disbelief. There’s a rush of emotions paralyzing him as he stands facing you. Instead of your usually sweet and understanding smile, there is a cold edge to your glare, unemotional.

He feels like he should’ve known. There’s no way something-- someone this good would be real. All this time he has been letting you in to the locked rooms in his heart, in hope that someone will finally understand him, but it turns out to be a lie.

He tries to appear nonchalant by scoffing, but there’s no masking the clench of his fists and the tears stinging the corners of his eyes. 

C rush - what are they like pining for you?

He takes all the chances he has to spend more time with you, from inviting you to unbirthday parties to giving you desserts he got from the local cafe. He’ll also get you some trinkets as gifts.

A social butterfly that he is, it can be hard to recognize romantic interest, but you can tell by subtle things like how he accidentally liked your post from months ago once and scrambled to explain that he spilled tea on his phone, or how he ‘jokingly’ brings up how you two look like a couple at the amusement park. He may sound like he’s just being mischievous when he say that, but he’s actually testing your reaction.

D omestic - what is it like living with them?

A lot of decorations, from posters to trinkets on the top of the shelves. The design is probably aesthetically pleasing.

In truth, he may be a little messy. The moment he gets home, he’s throwing his shoes off and diving face first into the bed or sofa. Sometimes he forgets to bring the clothes to the washing machine.

Probably has quite a number of plushies lying around. Your bed will be swarmed by them all winter, but at least they keep you warm.

He’ll probably have photos of you two hung up on a notice board or something, decorated by a string of cute light bulbs etc.

Quite a lot of stuff that he bought once to post on Magicam and never use again…

E asy - instances they find it effortless to love you.

When you remember things he mentioned in passing. Cater doesn’t always say what’s on his mind or what he really feels, and even when he does, it’s usually short and easily missed. But when he receives a heart-shaped box filled with spicy ramens for Valentine’s instead of sweet chocolate, or when you get him new guitar strings after hearing him rant to himself the other day, he feels warmed by the fact that you pay attention to every little detail. 

When you get him out of tiring social interactions. It’s a well-known fact that he’s the mood setter wherever he goes, but it can be exhausting trying to smile and make jokes all the time, especially when he’s dealing with disobedient first years. Not a lot of people manage to catch the way his smile falls quickly when he has his back turned, or the way his laugh sounds drained, but whenever you do and subtly get him away from the crowd for a split second, he’s be really thankful. If you go as far as to take over his job and lighten the mood for a short while, he’ll make sure to show his gratitude when you’re alone.

F amily - them meeting your family for the first time.

He tries his best to make a good impression! As soon as he knows that your parents want to meet him, he starts pestering you with questions about them, such as what kind of guys they like, what snacks they like to eat, even their religion. He just really wants your family to accept him, okay?

In front of your parents, he’s still sporting the usual charismatic smile, but you can tell by his occasional shaky leg that he’s nervous. Hopefully your parents are easy-going, or else he’s going to be pretty stressed out.

If you have siblings, that’s one more thing for him to worry about. Growing up with his sisters, he has kind of associated ‘siblings’ as demanding and picky. It fills him with relief that your siblings aren’t as difficult as his. At the same time he feels a little jealous.

Chances are he’s going to get along with all of your family members really well. Maybe even too well, given how he texts them photos of you two all the time and tell them about the troubles you get into at school.

G entle - how gentle are they with you?

He’s not a physically strong person, so he’ll never come off as forceful or aggressive. He doesn’t think you’re some delicate being either.

When he sees you from the other side of the corridor, he likes to call your name and run to give you a spinning hug. Sure, it earns a few envious gazes from the passing students, but who cares, right?

That being said, he’ll respect your distance if you prefer some personal space.

H onesty - what kind of things do they lie about?

His opinions. Sometimes he lie about enjoying something just because he doesn’t want to upset the other person, and other times he pretend to be enthusiastic while secretly wishing to leave.

He won’t outright tell you that he used underhanded methods (aka his unique magic) to skip queues or grab concert tickets for the both of you, but you can kind of tell. Just don’t rain on his parade and enjoy the show, okay?

I n vino veritas - how do they act when they’re drunk?

Cater doesn’t always drink, and he has a decent tolerance towards alcohol. When he does get drunk though, he’s even more spontaneous than usual, and his mood can go from 1 to 100 in split seconds.

He could be ecstatically taking selfies with you one moment, and crying about a soap opera he saw last week the next. May also make some offhanded mean comments, like how he wouldn’t eat Lilia’s cooking even if there’s no other food in the world. Just make up some excuse for him, and take care of him the next day. The hangover is going to make his head split like crazy.

J ealousy - how well do they handle jealousy?

Normally he doesn’t mind you getting attention from your friends or spending time with them, but if he feels neglected, he tries to subtly steal your attention.

He may ask you on dates and make a ‘mindless’ comment about how you haven’t been spending a lot of time together.

If it really gets to a point where he’s craving alone time with you, he may become a bit clingy. Will definitely throw his arms around you and whine about how you’ve forgotten all about him already. He’s can be quite the master at guilt tripping.

K ite - when they become emotionally distant.

Cater can be moody sometimes. He usually locks himself up when he’s feeling depressed or stressed out, as he can barely muster the energy to pretend to be fine.

In this case, he actually prefers some personal time with himself, but he can easily spiral into loneliness. If he disappears for more than a few days, please bring him some snacks and offer your company. He doesn’t ask for it out loud, but he really needs it.

L ove - first time saying ‘i love you’.

It happens casually. You’re on a call with him, talking about everything and nothing, when he notices that it’s already late.

“When then, I’ll see you tomorrow. Love you~” he says before hanging up. With a content smile he heads over to the washroom to brush his teeth, replaying your conversation in his head. Then, with the toothbrush still inside his mouth, he realizes what he said.

He is immediately flustered, spitting the toothpaste out and throwing himself onto his bed, rolling around like a lovesick fool. He didn’t expect to say the L-word this early, but it seems that he’s more into you than he expected.

Totally expects you to give him a response the next day.

M iss - they miss their chances with you.

It’s likely that he loses you to his uncertainties. While it’s undeniable that he likes you, he doesn’t know if he wants to risk your friendship by dropping the question on you. He’s also unsure if he is capable of settling down and giving his total trust in you. There may also be a bit of commitment issue going on.

Even after you’re with someone else, Cater still can’t help but love you. He still hangs out with you in the name of friends, though sometimes he tries to steal you away from your partner with that pleasing smile of his.

N ickname - what terms of endearments do they have for you?

Even before you’re dating, he already has a bunch of nicknames for you: sweetheart, darling etc, but he uses them for some other friends too.

Once you’re officially together, he gives you unique ones like babe or honey. He also calls you his muse under the song covers he posts on Magicam sometimes.

O cean - what reminds them of you?

Funny or cute posts he sees on Magicam. Whenever he comes across videos of pets or relatable memes, you’re the first person he send them to. Sometimes it could be cute couple photos, in which case he’ll add ‘me & you’ to the messages <3

Sappy love songs. Any time he hears a song that reminds him of you, he’s immediately saving it so he can share to his friends at light music club. Even though they all have different music tastes, they’re more than willing to indulge him and do a cover of that song so he can perform it to you <3

P rotection - what would they do if you got hurt trying to protect them?

Whatever reluctance that Cater has towards fighting Riddle’s overblot form vanishes the moment he catches your falling body. He’s immediately checking your wounds, afraid that you’ve taken a fatal hit.

Part of him wants to berate you for diving into danger like this, but the other part knows that he has to protect you now. That’s when Ace realizes that Cater can look pretty intimidating when he’s serious.

At the end of the day, he’s thankful that he has someone like you who would risk your life for him, but please, don’t do it again. He wants to be the one keeping you safe instead.

Q uest - what do they wish to achieve in a relationship?

When you started dating, Cater didn’t really ask for a lot but some affections and quality time. But as he slowly starts to feel serious about this relationship, he begins to think of you as home.

All he asks is someone who will listen to him, who will accept his multiple facets, who makes him feel understood and respected. Of course, he will try his best to be your shelter too.

R eason - why can’t they be with you?

He’s scared of commitment. He doesn’t want to get your hopes up as he isn’t sure if he’s ready to fully confide in someone and show them his truest, deepest feelings. Perhaps there’s also this fear that the relationship won’t last that stops him from starting it in the first place.

S peed - things you do that make their heart race.

When you post your lovey-dovey pictures on Magicam. Reading your sweet captions, adorable filters and tooth-rottingly sweet stickers gives him butterflies. It fuels him with a bit of pride that you like to show him off to others, but mostly he wonders how he managed to get someone as perfect as you.

When you smile at him under the fireworks. Cater likes to visit the amusement park with you, and the fireworks at night are not to be missed. While the onlookers arc their heads back in awe, he finds it impossible to pull his gaze from you. The iridescent explosions paint your face in all kinds of colors. If he looked close enough he could probably see the whole universe glistening in your eyes. Noticing his stare, you turn to him as well, and your lips melt into a loving smile. The flowers blooming in the sky are nothing compared to you.

T each - what has being with you taught them?

Effective communication. As mentioned, there are days when Cater just wants to spend time with himself and be away from social situations. Instead of making up excuses and pretending he’s fine or straight up ghosting you, he learns to tell you honestly that he needs space.

U niverse - a random au

Skater AU! Cater visits the skatepark closest to school regularly, and most of the time he sees you lingering around. He tries his best to impress you with his skills, but more often than not you are too caught up with practicing by yourself to notice. Eventually he offers to teach you how to skate, and that’s how you become friends.

Rival bands AU? Despite the fact that his band and yours are like fire and water, always pitting against each other in shows and underground concerts, he can’t help but admire your passion for music. Too bad you seem to despise his entire team… until you find him practicing your song backstage.

V alue - how important are you to them?

Very important, and he makes sure that you’re aware by reminding you all the time. This includes the aforementioned texts, occasional profile pictures of you two together, and his spontaneous visits to your room. You’re always on his mind, and you’re the first person he wants to share his joy with.

W ary - how do they deal with their family not liking you?

His sisters are demanding, no surprises. He’s used to being bossed around by them or having them force their opinions on him. Since he was a kid, he has always begrudgingly complied.

But as they sandwich him and talk about how you don’t seem like a good fit for them, he can’t help but feel annoyance boiling inside him. If only they knew how much you meant to him… no, it’s not like they’ll change their minds.

He makes up a halfhearted excuse to escape from their endless pestering. His first instinct is to find you and ask for some comfort. He won’t tell you what his sisters said, but he’ll be wary if you’re to meet each other at some point. If they outright criticize you, he will immediately get you away from the gathering. The last thing he wants is to for you to feel what he feels growing up.

X -ray - how do they confess?

Contemplated filming the whole thing and posting it on Magicam, ends up only carrying through with the first part. He just wants to keep this special moment to himself.

He’s cheesy, preparing flowers and balloons and all kinds of stuff you see in a classic romcom. There’s nothing fancy about the location- just the rose maze of Hearyslabyul- but he scatters petals all over the place so that you will be led to the very centre, where your name is painted in the middle of a heart-shaped tree.

Also contemplated singing a cloying love song, but decides against it because he’s still doubtful about his musical skills. You may think that he seems calm and upbeat asking you out, but he’s actually sweating so much that his palms are damp.

If you accept his confession, he’ll feels as though a rock has been lifted off his chest, the previous worry and insecurity overtaken by relief and gratitude as he lifts you into a bone crushing hug.

Y ears - how they celebrate your anniversaries.

Doesn’t matter if it’s been years since you’ve been together, he strives to make your relationship as interesting as the first few months. This means different celebrations for each anniversary, from something fit for a king to a humble yet heartfelt date.

Always posts about your milestones on his Magicam page. It earns some jealous comments from his underclassmen, but he usually just uses them for laughs and giggles. The truth is he’s really grateful that you have loved him all this time, and he wishes to be on the receiving end of it for more years to come.

Z oo - what kind of dates do they take you on?

Arcade dates with Cater has got to be so fun! He gives his all in dance battles, spends hours saving up tickets so he can trade a matching plushes for the both of you, and accidentally develops a gambling addiction in claw machines.

Stargazing is always more than looking at the stars and constellations with Cater. He’s well-versed in astrology and can point out how each pattern influence each other and lead to troubles with spirituality, though he may go off on a tangent and start talking about why you shouldn’t hang out too much around certain signs instead.

Sometimes when he doesn’t want to go home during holidays, he makes up some excuses and brings you on a road trip instead. And yes, it’s all driving into the sunset, camping out in a cozy tent, giggling at each other when it expectedly rains. But it’s also finding out that neither of you know how to fix a broken tire, that the map is really outdated, and that there is no signal out in the wild. Well, at least he got to spend some alone time with you!

Sex is not a laughing matter to him. He’s not exactly going to crack a joke during it and I doubt he’d appreciate it if you cracked a joke either. If anything, this could serve as a way for him to get even more turned off. 

It would probably take awhile to coax him back into the mood of sex afterwards though. So cracking jokes with Vil in the bed is probably a big no-no.

  GEOGRAPHY AND CITIES

           South Korea is located on the Korean peninsula, and makes up the entire southern half (Yu). In terms of bordering countries, North Korea makes up the rest of the peninsula, sitting directly north of South Korea. Currently, a DMZ sits in between South Korea and North Korea, which stretches to be approximately 2.5 miles wide (Yu). For geographical location, South Korea sits in between China (to the left of and above the Korean peninsula) and Japan (to the right of the Korean peninsula). According to Woo-Ik Yu, author of the article South Korea in Encyclopaedia Britannica, South Korea is, “…largely mountainous, with small valleys and narrow coastal plains” (1). For climate, South Korea experiences “…a cold, relatively dry winter and a hot, humid summer” (Yu, 1).  South Korea’s capital is Seoul, which sits somewhat close to North Korea. According to WorldAtlas, Seoul has a population of 10,349,312, and is the “political center” of South Korea. WorldAtlas ranks the cities of South Korea based on population numbers, with the top 10 being the following:

 HISTORY AND EMERGENCE

           Korea was said to have been formed from a legend in which Tan’gun created the Choson kingdom. (Everyculture). From here, Korea eventually had a “Three Kingdoms era” which included the kingdoms of Silla, Koguryo, and Paekche (Everyculture). Once Silla unified all of the kingdoms, and eventually fell, the nation itself became united under Wang Kon, leader of the Koryo Dynasty (Everyculture).  One of the most significant historical moments for Korea as a whole was the annexation of the peninsula by Japan in 1905. Once Korea was annexed, Japan claimed it until 1945, in which the country gained its independence, but was split into North and South Korea (WorldAtlas).  Five years after the separation, South Korea and North Korea entered into a war relationship due to North Korea directly invading South Korean territory. In this war, American would enter as an ally on South Korea’s side, acting under President Truman (History). This war, while eventually allowing South Korea to gain full independence from North Korea, technically never ended and as a result, the Korean peninsula is still separated to this day (History).

           South Koreans speak the language of Korean, and there are many various dialects just within the country itself.
