I'd like to send a personal reminder that celestial bronze guns are CANON yet we don't see anybody use one. Complete missed opportunity especially considering WE'RE IN AMERICA HERE!!!!

I'm once again thinking about the missed opportunities to have Klaus and Kol bond more. Part of Klaus' whole motivation as a vampire is to get his werewolf part back and to finally be stronger than Mikael (sort of, I'm simplifying) both of which can be obtained by breaking his curse. But Kol? Kol is the only other original that can relate to having a fundamental part of themself ripped away from them. Klaus might not have known he was a werewolf until he killed, but he likely still had a connection he couldn't explain, as evident by him going to watch the wolves transform. And something he'd never been able to explain was now gone. He might only be able to realise the connection afterwards through its absence.

Kol though. Kol had grown up with magic, a connection to nature and the world around him in a way the rest of his siblings supposedly didn't have. And then he gets turned. And not only has his baby brother died, his father has just murdered him and the rest of his siblings after forcing them to drink human blood, which he'll later learn. Now, not only does he have to deal with the grief of Henrik's death and also his own but also the loss of his magic. A loss that's likely only worsened by Kol being a self-proclaimed child prodigy.

Kol is pretty much the only one who could understand what Klaus is going through with the binding of his wolf. We know Kol searched for ways to get his magic back/carry on practicing magic in the same way that Klaus was looking for ways to break his curse. While Klaus likely could still feel his wolf there despite being bound, Kol has no access to his magic anymore. I just think they should've been able to bond or connect over their shared loss of an intrinsic aspect of their selves at the hands of their parents

Cas steps in close, one hand settling on Dean’s hip while he brushes his lips over a spot on the round of his shoulder, then slightly below, to the side, over his shoulder blade, the nape of his neck, up over to his other shoulder where he stops to draw a circle with his nose. Looking for a distraction and really not wanting to talk about Sam’s big fun magical vacation, Dean says, half joking, “You got a thing for my shoulders, Cas?” Those big blue eyes flicker up to meet his own in the mirror once again, and Cas’s face is a study in careful neutrality, but he knows him well enough to catch the glimmer of guilt in the tightness near his eyes. “Wait, seriously?” “I have a thing for all of you,” Cas mumbles stiffly, and hey, isn’t that sudden shyness an interesting development? 

I saw this fic recced somewhere with the promise of pure fluff and it did not disappoint.

This fic takes place somewhere in canon with Sam doing his own witchy thing with Rowena while Cas and Dean are left to explore their new relationship.

The longer we see about them and the more they discover about themselves, the more we as well as Dean notice Cas' strange fixation with Dean's shoulders.

It's not often we get to read an entire fic dedicated to Dean's freckles, so it was a delight to read this fic and why Cas loves Dean's shoulders, skin, and more specifically his freckles so much.

And as promised, it's pure fluff.

it's 2AM and everyone's asleep - can i talk about how cool the whole "each time a celestial primate is born an anomaly happens" thing is??

because since it's so ambiguous in JTTW, it's fun to just play around with that, like other media has in the interpretations in the other 3 like.

i just think it's COOL because Wukong's eyes pierced the sky and alerted Heaven -- what other cool things could happen? and Macaque's was so.

Originally, it was going to be "And when you were born, the entire moon went dark." but that couldn't happen for a variety of reasons. The anomalies have to affect something, but it can't be lasting. It has to be something that gets the attention of the divine in a way that they immediately know "hey, something's going on."

and with MK's, it's sooo MUCH, that it drew the attention of everyone! Because, comparatively we have 1) a bright golden light, 2) a shadow falling over the moon, 3) all the stars flashing brighter for a few seconds, 4) an earthquake that shakes all the realms PLUS golden flowers blooming on the trees.

the fact that there's TWO parts is super important. I wanted that to be a showing of MK's power but also to show his nature as the celestial primate of balance. Because the trees bloomed gold in every realm to highlight his influence and duty, but the earthquake speaks to how powerful he is, how that power has to be carefully maintained or it could spiral out of control.

because I kind of just thought about the nature of the anomalies, too. Wukong's being that bright light and it piercing Heaven just makes me think of his title about being equal to Heaven, how he wanted to be recognized and respected and treated as a divine. that craving for attention.

Macaque's is subtle, a "blink and you miss it" type anomaly because it happened so fast, but it's noticeable in a way like "wait, what was that? the moonlight faded for a second" it's sneaky, it's not outright asking for attention...it's making itself known, but keeping to the night, stalking the shadows. and obvs. the moon itself being linked to the tides, Macaque being born from seafoam. It's neat!! just the symbolism that's associated with water -- wisdom, patience, restoration, guidance. it suits him so well.

Can't talk about the third one for Little Star too much, but the stars FLASHING brighter for a few seconds? all that burning gas just... getting HOTTER and more intense, lighting up the night sky??? attention grabbing for sure, but also intense. exciting, captivating, thinking, perhaps, that something wonderful is about to happen, but then it fades...

it's fun to think about it link them to their characters.

The Lannister family was one of the twenty families that founded the World Government over 800 years ago and who left their kingdom of Casterly Rock, an island in West Blue, to re-locate to Mary Geoise on top of the Red Line, the center of the world.

While called Celestial Dragons, the Lannister continued to hold onto their original sigil of their house: A roaring golden lion on red ground. Slaves get branded with the sigil in additon to the dragon's hoove, marking them as Lannister property, much like everything else that bears the mark of the Lion within the lands of Mary Geoise.

Cersei grew up in the heap of luxury, together with her twin brother Jaime who would later on go and join the God's Knights, much to their fathers dismay. Growing up as Celestial Dragon, Cersei learned quick that she could get whatever she wanted, that it was her birthright. Still, asking for things and always getting them quickly became boring, so she started to think of new ways, and quickly found that she rather enjoyed watching people struggle to fulfill her demands to her satisfaction.

Slaves were the first and most easiest target for obvious reasons, but she didn't shy away from playing other members of the twenty founder families, ways that often ended with them humiliated in one way or another. She was a lioness, a Lannister after all and while technically the families have an equal standing among each other, she wants to make it known that their house, their legacy is the only that would matter in the end.

If you’re her enemy, she’ll never stop until she’s destroyed you. Everyone who’s ever crossed her, she’s found a way to murder.
