scrunchy nylon jacket, marithé + françois girbaud
rayon and mohair tank, poleci
rayon and linen skirt, skies are blue
handcrafted bronze gundestrup cauldron cernunnos pendant by vis a vis jewelry, woven necklace made by me
Specific fashion goal achieved! A few weeks ago I was reminded of one of my favorite old magazines from my teen years; the October 1999 issue of YM (Young and Modern). I was just 13 and was cycling around the block. It had been raining a bit and I remember the street was still wet and gravely. As I rounded the bend I saw a magazine sitting in a slumped, tented position on the road near the curb. Someone had evidently dropped it getting in or out of their car. I picked it up. Realizing it was mostly intact, though wet and stuck with pebbles, I held onto it, finished my turn around the block and snuck it into the house and into the chasm of my tiny bedroom. I eventually cut it up, kept one page folded up in my purse for years, and stuck parts of it into a scrapbook. Many years later I bought an unblemished copy for scanning. Also at random more recently, I decided to go on a hunt for some of the pieces in my fave photo shoot. Surprisingly, I found two of them.
The scrunchy nylon jacket from Marithé + François Girbaud was originally priced at $112 and I paid $182. It was a little steep, but it is a vintage late 90s piece, pre-revival of the brand. The seller listed it as being from the 80s but the exact design is from 1999. As much as I wanted the grey color I really love the black edition as it goes great with pretty much everything I own. Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. Wuuuut? So great. I was very lucky to find the unique rayon and mohair tank from Poleci. Original list price was $76 and I only paid $21. It fits me and has a great cut. Really the center of the outfit! Only downside is that it’s dry-clean only.
I wasn’t able to find the $72 skirt from Cubika (incidentally there’s a toy company by the same name) but I found a lovely rayon and linen skirt from Skies are Blue (new with tags). The original price was about $60 and I paid $29. It’s a different cut but I think it actually looks cuter, especially as the top part of the skirt is very similar to the Cubika one so it has the same look and line as the outfit in the magazine. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low which is very convenient.
I couldn’t find the exact $45 necklace from Dogearred so I added one of my own pieces. I bought a handcrafted bronze pendant featuring a replica of the depiction of Cernunnos on the Gundestrup Cauldron by Vis a Vis Jewelry for $90 and I made the woven necklace myself with cotton cord from Maine Thread. I’m not really into the tall boots so I would pair this look with Docs or leather sandals. In the end I paid more than the original look but two of these were 25 year old designer pieces and the pendant is something that I got long before I put this outfit together. Plus my jewelry wasn’t emulating the one in the mag; if I had gotten an actual piece from Dogearred it would have cost me a lot less. All in all, this is exactly what I wanted it to look like. It wasn’t my goal to look the way the model does - the goal was to look like me in that outfit. It works for me in a different kind of way, with my hair and my vibe. I love it.

It's been a while since I made an OC for anything, but here's my Miraculous Ladybug OC. Because why not.
Finn Damnat is an Irish kid who's family has recently moved to Paris. (And by kid I mean nebulously the same age as the main Miraculous cast). He struggles to fit in at his new school in a city he doesn't know with classmates who speak a language he only barely grasps, but he has a secret: He possesses an ancient artifact passed down in his family for generations.
Using his necklace, in actuality the Miraculous of the Elk, and his kwami Fianna, he can transform using the command phrase "horns charged" into the hero Cernunnos. In this form, Finn is a lot more confidant and the magic of the kwami allows him to speak French much more easily.
He uses this power in a quest adjacent to Ladybug and Chat Noir's, to search for information on the other Miraculous of his family's miracle box, all themed around ancient extinct megafauna and all lost around the world. His family actually came to Paris because of information that suggested two Miraculous of their box might be hidden there, the Miraculous of the Mammoth and of the Sabertoothed Tiger.
His suit is a simple brown bodysuit with an exaggerated darker collar and a headpiece shaped like a crown of antlers. He possesses the power of Wildness, which allows him to use the command phrase, "set free," to control any plants or animals he's in contact with when it activates. To deactivate his powers, he simply says "Fianna, horns shed."

Because I’m a organization nerd, and always want a peak into other people’s organization systems:
86. How do you like to organize all your witchy items and ingredients? (Or books, I’d love to hear about you personal library system.)
Hello Stag! (Can I call you Stag? Is that cool?)
Witchcraft Asks #1-105
86: How do you like to organize all your witchy items and ingredients?
*cracks knuckles* There are a lot, so get ready. Luckily, I've already discussed my abhorrent grimoire system on October 10th (and...the post is already outdated...), so I won't repeat that here. Let me split this up.
Crystals
All of my tumbled and raw crystals are in two plastic jewelry organizers with movable walls. I've recently had to put my aventurine in with the rest of my quartz, amethyst, and citrine because I needed more room. I need another that's also strong.
My crystal beads are in a weaker plastic organizer because I've been making friendship bracelets- I MEAN ROSARIES for the deities on my altar. Just got Azura's done tonight!
The jewelry that I didn't make for deities with real crystals is in this little wooden jewelry box that looks like a small chest of drawers. I have two morganite rings, a hematite ring, a red jasper ring (of fucking course), a malachite bead bracelet, and two bracelets with many miscellaneous crystals in the top compartment. The middle compartment holds all of my bracelets with pendants/charms and my bracelets that are set in small cuffs. The bottom compartment holds necklaces.
Did I mention that I don't wear jewelry?
Additional shoutout to the Giant Fucking Rock Box which holds my bigger crystal pyramids, spheres, and raw chunks, and the carved or large crystals scattered across my desk.
Tarot and Oracle Decks
All of my 58 current decks are currently lined up in height order across the tops of the three plastic three-drawer containers that hold my clothes. There is no further categorization, I just fucking memorize their heights to find them.
Herbs and Blends
My dried basil (that's actually Cernunnos' dried basil), my Bloody Mary mix, the two different cinnamon sugar blends, and my small vial of Bree's Banishing Powder are all tucked together on the back corner of my desk.
Current Deity and Altar Locations
Since being displaced from my room, I've had to put all the deities I honor, venerate, worship, and work with on one altar. I just had to bring in a second shelf because I brought home Skull Friend from The Field. They're in places where they seem to work fine.
Books
The piece de resistance or whatever the fuck. As y'all may know, I'm a librarian now. This is NOT reflected in my book organization.
Section One: Mythology, History, Religion, and Geography. This is perhaps the second-strangest section of my book collection and is currently 24 books strong. Shoutout to the book about the Freemasons that I found in my stepdad's stuff, my copy of the Necronomicon that I lost behind the laundry basket on Monday, and Mortellus and Tomas Prower for writing my favorite books in there.
Section Two: Regional. This includes stuff about folk magic (both Ozark and Appalachian), city magic, and people getting high and musing on broadscale Celtic practices. This section has 9 books.
Section Three: Tarot. And, to a lesser extent (that being one book), divination more broadly. I actually like a lot of these books, which isn't hard because there are only 6 books here.
Section Four: Beginner. It is no secret that I am a simp for Bree's book Grovedaughter Witchery, but there are other good ones in here too. There are also 6 books in this one.
Section Five: Spell Books. I've gotten along with several blogs on here by shitting on some books in this section, but they're in here nonetheless. This section actually has 11 books, making it one of the slightly chunkier sections.
Section Six: Correspondences. I don't actually recommend most of the books I use for correspondences. There are 13 books here covering stuff like crystals, trees, elements, and symbols.
Section Seven: Gardening. Only one is specifically magical, but I suck at gardening and need help. There are 5 books here and some are specifically about Missouri gardening.
Section Eight: Literary. Not necessarily magical, but important literary collections. Edgar Allen Poe, Brothers Grimm, Dante, et cetera. This is 6 books but deserves its own category because of how absolutely CHONKY they are.
Section Nine: Miscellaneous Fuckery. Astrology, self-care, green witchcraft, hearth witchcraft, necromancy or death witchcraft, candles, and so on and so forth. This is 14 books strong and is my "fuck that" corner of my collection.
These numbers do not include the books I put in storage because I hated them. This is still 89 books. It does not look like that much.
Oh, they're also stacked on their backs, not set up in lines so you can read the spines. I either memorize where they are or I lose them behind the laundry basket.
Other Tools
I have some general "fuck that" drawers that hold other tools, like my knife collection, bandanas and scarves, a hilarious amount of shampoo/conditioner/lotion, and so forth. There's also a giant, heavy tote out in storage that has my candles. I have too many candles and not enough time to light them. This is what I can do with the single room and storage that is available to me.
Don't copy my organization system.

Darkness Finds You Saga Outtake #1
(Warning: None/Bit of Blood.
Pairing: Malakai Black x Lyra Crowe (FC: Mothica)
Synopsis: Lyra invites her Owlman and now friend, Benedict Cumberbatch to see the inside of the wrestling world)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AEW All Out- September 4th, 2022. Chicago, IL.
We had about thirty minutes before MB, Brody and Buddy were taking on Darby Allin, Sting and Miro at All Out here in Chicago and tonight was going to be his last match for a while. I’d also decided to invite two very special guests to come see us perform for the very first time and that was Benedict and his wife, Sophie.
They were backstage as we were getting ready. I slipped into a black faux leather halter crop top with matching faux leather leggings and a pair of heeled boots on my feet.
I had the hair and make-up team put my hair up into a bun and had black eyeshadow and dark red lips, I also slipped a black shawl around my shoulders and put on a black fedora to give it more of a Stevie Nicks feel.
I walk out of the locker room to see Malakai, Brody and Buddy standing in the hallway, talking.
I take MB’s hand and pull him away for a second. “I think we should initiate two new members into the house,” I say.
“Who might those be?” Malakai says and I shove him playfully, making him chuckle as I turn my head and shrug over at where Benedict and Sophie were sitting together, talking.
He nods as he goes back into his locker room to grab one of his bandanas, kissing my cheek after whispering to Brody and Brody nods, walking away.
“Hey, Owlman. Come here a moment,” I say as I wave my hand as I call Benedict by the nickname I gave him.
Malakai returns with the bandana as Benedict walks over to us. I smile as I turn to face him.
“There’s a reason why I called you over here, you see,” I told him as I took both ends of the bandana and I draped it around his neck so the scythes are pointing forward. I gently tied it around his neck. “Welcome to House of Black, my friend.”
“I-I’m in House of Black?” Benedict asks. “Since when, exactly?”
“Ever since the day you walked into my studio and became the creature known as Owlman for my album, you’ve always shown dedication towards The House.” I told him as Malakai nodded in agreement.
“Well, it’s rather too bad that I couldn’t wear something like this back when I was doing Sherlock,” Benedict says and I hear Malakai’s chuckle in the background as he hands me a small box with the scythes on the front of it, inside contains his necklace with the Cernunnos mask on it.
“This is for Sophie, as she is also a part of The House too.” I say, setting the box in Benedict’s hands. “And we also have something for your boys too. Brody?”
Brody comes back and he has three shirts that he has on his right shoulder, he shows them off to Benedict. It’s the House of Black design with Malakai holding his hands out with his Janus mask.
I watch as his face turns from shock to a look that seemed like he’d been touched. “Lyra…”
“Hey, I told you before. You’ve shown dedication to The House. Therefore, we look after our own. You, Sophie and your family will always be our own.” I told him.
“I don’t even have the words to tell you how much of an honor this is. I feel like saying thank you isn't enough but it is. Thank you."
I smile as he embraces me in a hug and I pat Benedict on the shoulder. "Stick around, we're going to do our entrance and I promise you, it will be unlike anything you've ever seen, just watch the monitors. Ready, boys?" I say as Malakai, Brody and Buddy nod. I hear the beginning of the swamp sounds and we take off through the curtain.
I take my place in front of the House of Black banner while the lights are out. The lights turn back on and there's a green light shining over the banner.
I slowly lifted my arms to the side before raising my hand up and making the banner fall as Absent In Body starts to play, the boys standing beside me.
"Accompanied by Lilith Czar, Buddy Matthews, Brody King, Malakai Black– House of Black!"
Hearing the crowd cheer as the lights go out and we head toward the ring. The lights turn on and we're standing on the apron, Brody and Buddy on the turnbuckles. Lights turn off and turn on again as we're standing in the ring.
Malakai hands me his mask after he's taken it off.
After the match that we sadly lost, even though I tried to use my blood mist on Darby, which he had just been able to dodge, barely and during this match, Malakai did get torn open near his eye.
We walk back through the curtain and I grab a bottle of water to get the taste of the blood mist out of my mouth, red dripping down my chin. Benedict looks completely interested in everything and Sophie looks kind of squeamish.
"Just so you know, the blood mist in my mouth is not real." I point at my chin, wiping it away before Malakai walks up behind me, placing a soft kiss on my temple and I point at the cut next to his eye, blood dripping. "This is real."
"Does this always happen, blood being drawn in matches?" Benedict asks.
"Not really, unless you're a main-eventer." As I said that, Jon Moxley walks by us and I make a gesture toward him. "Exhibit A."
Mox hears me and he turns to face us before flipping me off, I start laughing. "Love you too, Moxley."
"Yeah. Whatever, Lyra." He heads out to get ready for his and CM Punk's match as Benedict chuckles.
"Seems like a lot of you are friendly behind the scenes, like I am on set. Except when I did The Power of The Dog when I had to stay in character for most of the filming."
"We try to be, yeah. It makes what you do more exciting when you have everyone applauding each other at the end of the day," I nod.
"Hi, Lyra," I look over to see Dr. Britt Baker. She sees Benedict and her eyes widen. "Holy shit. You're…"
"Maybe I should have worn a disguise here?" Benedict says.
"No. A disguise wouldn't have mattered. I'd recognize your voice anywhere," Britt says with a laugh.
"Here's Exhibit B of a main-eventer. Benedict, I'd like you to meet Dr. Britt Baker,"
I say as we both do her pointing gesture. "DMD. Britt, I assume you know Benedict Cumberbatch. This is his first AEW show. He came along to see all of us perform. We were speaking on the subject of blood in matches."
"Is it really? Like Lyra said, us main-eventers do get torn open quite a bit. When it happened to me, it became a new development for my character on-screen," Britt explains as Benedict nods. "I started intertwining blood drips in my gear, my jacket, all of that."
"I think you even had some blood red makeup looks too, right?" I ask and Britt nods. "See? Blood can be used as a creative tool. Britt's a great example of that."
I gave Britt a side hug as she glanced over at Benedict and Sophie, extending her hand to shake his and embrace Sophie with her free arm. "Welcome to our AEW family."
"Thank you, Britt. It's lovely to meet you," Sophie says. Britt nods as she walks off.
"Alright. I think it's best if we get you out of the arena before anyone else in the locker room knows who you are." I say and Benedict nods, pulling up the House of Black bandana over his nose and mouth as Malakai, Brody and Buddy start snickering. "Hey. I'm trying to get him out of here. Zip it."
I gesture for Benedict and Sophie to follow me out of the arena, I walk with them to the SUV parked outside and embrace them both in a goodbye before walking back inside.
"Who was that, Lyra?" I see Toni Storm standing by the door.
"Just some friends of mine," I say.
"Hmph, cause I could have sworn I knew the guy in the bandana." I sigh and shrug.
Oh well, at least they've got to see The House of Black perform.
Tagging: @xbreezymeadowsmunsonx (who loved MB and Lyra once upon a time) and of course my co-writer @blackrose-92 🖤

Tag: “Meet a Witch”
I decided to answer this Tag I saw my friend answer on their blog as a fun way of everyone who stumbles upon this account get to know me a little bit better. Here is the link for the original Tag.
1. Do you use runes as a written language?
Not really, even though I have a rune set runes were never a divinatory tool I quite clicked with.
2. Do you feel you have natural gifts such as (premonitions, hearing spirits) and if so do you think this is what led you to this path?
My natural gifts are really poor and it is something that I have been working on for a while. I first stumbled upon this path when I first found out about Wicca and wanted to read more about it.
3. What deity do you work with if any and why?
I don’t work with any deity but the ones that I honor most often are Áine, Manannán mac Lir, Airmid, Miach, Brigid, Cernunnos and Drusuna.
4.  Have you always worked with this same deity?
I started connecting myself with Brigid around this year’s Imbolc, eventually the other deities just started popping up in my morning prayers.
5. Do you use any personal items in your practice, (blood, semen, tears, urine, etc)?
I have never done that and have no problem with people that do that; in fact, I’m open to using those items in the future in my practice.
6. Do you do past life readings or have ever had one done; who where you or how did you die?
I have had two friends do Tarot readings for me talking about how in my past lives I have lived in Egypt and have been a Witch, but I never took those very seriously.
7. What is your favorite magical tool?
My first Waite-Smith Tarot Deck that I have owned since 2018, as well as the Hagstone I found at the beach in 2020 and my Stang from a pine tree I have found this year.
8. What is a song or type of music that gets into a witchy mood?
Here is my witchy Spotify Playlist.
9. Where is the most magical place you have ever been?
Casa do Fauno, which in English would mean “Faunus’s House”, a medieval Pub in Sintra.
10. What animal is your familiar if any?
I don’t work with familiars.
11. If you have a familiar, did you choose them or did they choose you?
Not appliable.
12. What in the craft are you best at (tarot, spells, rituals, etc.)?
I am fairly confident in my Tarot skills, as well as meditating if this counts. I have been also fairly successful in practicing divination with eggs.
13. What in the craft would you say you are weaker at?
I’m not very good at following my intuition. Tarot helps me on that aspect of myself, but I have been trying to work on being able to listen to myself without the aid of any divinatory tools.
14. What is your most favorite part of your craft (spell writing, divination, etc)?
Divination, especially Tarot, is super cool and allows for a lot of space for me to work on my creativity. I also really enjoying brewing herbal teas with magickal intentions. Not to refer the endless amounts of research.
15. What was the first tool you ever purchased?
A rose quartz necklace in 2017 at a Reinassance Fair.
16. What was your first homemade tool for your practice?
A little plate I made in clay to put my crystals, as well as a little gnome figure.
17. If you were a goddess or god, who would you be?
I find this question quite odd.
18. Do you use astrology in your practice? In what ways?
I practice planetary magic and am interested in starting a devotional relationship with the planets in the near future.
19. What if any ways could you practice dark magic and still respect the beliefs of Wicca?
I do not agree with the term “Black” and “White” magic, nor am I in any way Wiccan, so I will pass this question.
20. Do you have any witches in your family?
Not really.
21. What item can you not witch without?
Probably my Tarot Deck.
22. What is your favorite sabbat or time of year ritual?
I really am fond of celebrating Winter Solstice, but Lughnasadh has a special place in my heart because it was the first Sabbath I celebrated.
23. Have you ever had a YouTube burn out?
Not appliable since I am not a Youtuber.
24. What is your fav witchy shop, and do they have an online store?
“Ishtar Artes Mágicas”.
25. When buying witchy items, do they choose you or do you choose them?
A little bit of both.
26. How do you organize your herbs/ingredients?
I reutilize old glass jars where I store my herbs.
27. Do you have interest in other deities that you don’t work with; if so, which ones?
I have an interest for all the Fairy Queens as well as the whole Iberian Pantheon, specially Rhiannon and Nantosvelta.
28. Do you have a favorite time of day to do spell work; if so, why?
Not really.
29. Are you solitary or do you work with a coven?
Solitary.
30. If you could pick a certain witchcraft tradition that fits your practice most what would it be (Druid, Celtic, Wicca etc)?
Traditional Witchcraft.
31. What was the most creative spell you have ever done. What did you use?
I feel like enchanting jewelry is always creative.
32. What do you prefer for divination (tarot, oracle, runes ,etc, and why?)
My Rider-Waite Tarot and my Brian Froud’s Faeries Oracle since those are the two decks I work with the most.
33. What are some ways you keep yourself grounded?
Establishing a daily meditative pracitce.
34. Have you ever had a spell go horribly wrong?
Nope.
35. What are your opinions on initiation rituals?
I intend to, in the future, experience one myself.
36. Have you ever had full contact with your deity; if so, what happened?
I felt very healed after a specific meditation I did with Brigid.
37. What about you is un witchy?
My grimoire is not on a fancy notebook.
38. For the dating witch, how do you tell a new love interest that you are a witch?
When the time is right.
39. Who is a past witch that has inspired you, famous or not?
Scott Cunningham.
40. How do you handle rejection from a fellow witch that refuses to do a reading or spell for you?
That has never happened to me.
41. Do you think it is necessary to cast a circle when you do spell work or any magical working?
Not at all.
42. If Steven Spielberg called and wanted to make a movie of your life, who would you want to play as you?
I have no idea.
43. What is some advice that was given to you that you pass along because it made an impact on your path?
Meditating one minute every single day will have a bigger impact on you than taking one day of the month to meditate for 30 minutes. Practice every single day.
44. What is some advice you would give someone who has not found there deity?
While I am not fond of that specific phrasing my biggest advice is to just put yourself out there. If a deity or a group of deities have been on your mind for a couple weeks, around a month, do not be afraid to do a simple prayer and offering, like lighting a candle for them and leaving out a cup of water. You will find what deities feel right for you to connect with through practice, so put yourself out there, be respectful and know how to handle if it it goes wrong.
45. Where do you buy your herbs?
I don’t have a specific store in specific.
46. How did you feel casting your first circle (silly, scared, stumbling, etc)?
It felt odd because it was something I never did but I got used to it.
47. What was your first successful spell?
I am more experienced with ritual work than spell work, so this is not very appliable.
48. What is your general practice for meditation?
Do it everyday for a short amount of time, between one to five minutes.
49. Are you a day walker or a night comer?
Morning person all the way.
50. How and when did you know you wanted to be on this path?
When I started reading about Wicca when I was fifteen, I knew the path of witchcraft (not Wicca though) was for me. And since I have always been very drawn to fairies and folklore, when I stumbled upon the tradition of Traditional Witchcraft I just wanted to dig in deeper into the occult.
51. What type of pagan are you (Wiccan, eclectic, hedge, etc)?
I would consider myself a Pan-Celtic Pagan since the traditions I follow most closely are Irish Paganism and Iberian Paganism, with a growing interest in Welsh Paganism as well.
52. What candle color do you use most?
White and green.
53. What area would you like to see your craft grow in?
Growing my connection with fairies, household and land spirits as well as the deities I honor.
54. What is your preference, to buy or make your tools?
I love making my own tools in clay.
55. What fictional witch book/screen inspired you the most?
Perhaps Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service.
56. With your first spell were you alone or in a coven?
Alone.
57. What is your favorite candle, incense scent for magical purposes?
None in specific.
58. Where is your favorite place to go to reconnect with nature?
Casa do Fauno, as well as the beach and the pine wood near my home.
59. Do you believe in fantasy creatures (unicorns, gnomes, elves, fairies, etc)?
As I have mentioned before, I follow the Fairy Faith.
60. Do you believe in ghosts/spirits?
Yes.
61. Would you ever teach the craft?
If I felt knowledgable enough, yes.
62. What if any legal herb do you use for moods?
Lavender, chamomile and mugwort.
63. What is the most recent spell/ritual you have done? (slight detail please)
I have recently performed a Compass-Laying Ritual.
64. Do you have a happy place you go to during meditation?
My personal Nemeton.
65. What is your favorite witchy book?
Mists of Avalon.
66. Do you have a ritual to get ready before a ritual or spell? (what is it)
I daily perform the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram every morning.
67. Do you always use your own spells or do you tweak others?
Sometimes I write my own, but a lot of times I use pre-made spells for my personal references and adapt them according to my will.
68. Do you prefer spells/ritual inside or outside?
Inside since I sadly do not have the chance of performing anything outdoors.
69.  If you are coming from a Christian/catholic background. Did you find the transition hard with family and the whole going to Hell thing? Basically leaving all you been told was right?
My family overall does not care for religion, they are very agnostic.
70. What are your totem animals?
I do not work with this concept.
71. What are some things you reuse after spells/ritual work?
Sometimes I reuse candles.
72. Who helped you most when you starting on your path?
Scott Cunningham’s books.
73. Do you know any good witchy phone apps (like moon phases)?
Labyrinthos is good for learning Tarot.
74. What is your favorite magical study?
Fairy Folklore.
75. Outside of the YouTube and Facebook community, do you have a lot of witchy friends in the physical world?
A couple of them, but not many.
76. Do you feel that the deities we work with are a force from one higher power and that all beliefs and religions are from the same one God/place?
Not really, I very hardly identify as Hard Polytheistic.

Looking Back on 2023
I thought I’d write a post about some of the things that happened to me throughout the year. It won’t be as long as other posts of mine that are like this, though.
Early in the year, I started having anxiety attacks, and they continued to happen throughout the year. (For the record, I was diagnosed with anxiety by my psychiatrist last July.) As a result of these anxiety attacks, I spent much of my time off from work just hanging out at home and not going anywhere.
Around the middle of the year, I started to wear two necklaces that have personal meanings to me: a dragon head necklace that represents my dragon guardian, and a stag necklace that represents Cenarius (or should I say possibly Cenarius and/or Cernunnos).
A little after the middle of the year, I started reading a book on Paganism that I got from Amazon: Paganism for Beginners: The Complete Guide to Nature-Based Spirituality for Every New Seeker by Althaea Sebastiani. As of right now, I’m only a little less than halfway through it, but I will say that I find it to be an interesting read so far.
Near the very end of the year, something happened that I would have to say is one of the highlights (if not the highlight) of the year for me: I saw Chris Isaak live on his It's Almost Christmas Tour. To say the least, it was a fantastic concert!
I hope that next year will be a better year than this year was, especially when it comes to my anxiety!

Deity of Bouray-Sur-Juine 1st C. BCE - 1st C. CE. Height:  41.5 cm. National Archaeological Museum, France.
"The statuette was discovered around 1845 in the Juine river. The figure represented is a young, beardless naked man, sitting "cross-legged", wearing a torque around his neck. The arms, reported, are missing, but traces indicate that they rested on the thighs. The attention is drawn to the head, very disproportionate to the body, schematic. On the contrary, the head is treated in detail with great force mixed with refinement. These characteristics come under the Gallic aesthetic, even if a Greco-Roman influence could be felt in the treatment of the hair. The identity of the character remains uncertain. Is it one of the very many Gallic Gods, whose name and powers are generally unknown, or a deified hero, or even an ancestor? The head, formed of two cast lead bronze shells, is welded to the body, composed of two brass parts shaped by hammering. Blue and white glass eyes, of which only one remains, were placed in the head before assembly. The cast iron technique was undoubtedly retained by the bronzier who manufactured this statuette because it allowed him to render with much more quality and finesse the details of the head, essential in the Gallic aesthetics, than the would have hammered. The choice of appropriate techniques and alloys reveals the great mastery of metal craftsmen in Gaul. The young man wears a closed torque hook and eye. At the end of the independence period and the beginning of the Gallo-Roman era, this rigid metal necklace from the Gauls was often worn by the native deities, either around the neck or by hand, as a divine attribute, which it seems to be. The cross-legged pose is that of a number of indigenous Gods at the end of the independence era and the beginning of the Gallo-Roman era. This is how Cernunnos, the God with deer antlers, is represented. But some older stone statues from the south of France, representing warriors, perhaps deified, also adopt the same pose, which is not found in the Mediterranean world."

CERNUNNOS MASK NECKLACE
To commemorate the Cernunnos mask worn by the boss we figured you guys would appreciate a limited run of them as a necklace.
When the mask was originally made it came from the idea to have it created after the "Horned God" or Cernunnos who was worshipped in the lower Celtic lands such as Belgium, France and the Netherlands long before those borders and names were sprung centuries ago. Malakai worships and pays tribute to the old Gods, and now in your own way you can too.
For a limited time only grab the Cernunnos necklace and join the house.
www.Blxckmass.com for this and much more
