I am planning on crocheting all the eeveelutions as little sitting plushies and here's my progress so far! I completed the first gen and I'm fairly proud of the results :') Flareon was my first but it might be my favourite of this batch. I had anticipated that working with chenile yarn would be a pain, but actually it was Jolteon' s little spiky head that gave me the most trouble. Idk why Vaporeon ended up looking smaller than the rest tho since the body shape doesn't diverge much from the others 😂 my tension must've been tighter
If you like my yarn creations, you can reblog this post or tip me on ko-fi to help me fund my next little guys :') or you can also check out my shop for my patterns. I have more free patterns than ones for sale anyway)

what's your favorite project that you've ever made? either from how fun it was to make it or how the end result came out?
Oooo, this is a toughy. I have a few favorites that I love.
Kuchi Kopi was a passion project turned Christmas gift for my sister. I was able to find glow in the dark chenille yarn from lion brand. I would only recommend that yarn if it’s for small projects or someone pays ahead of time for at least the yarn. Those balls were very small, but it still turned out great.
Perry is another favorite because I found the best eyes that just screamed Perry. I was thankful to find derpy eyes from Crouton Crochet through Instagram and her store. It was also my first commission piece too. I will definitely share the video I made later with him as well.
My last two and most recent are creations, soot sprite and figment, were two that I also loved every step of the way. The soot sprite was the first time I tried the needle felting technique for the eyes. It was one of my smallest creations and also one of the cutest. Figment is a passion project that I wanted to make because I love the ride he is based off of.
Thank you for the question @chaoticeddie
If you or anyone has more questions, my ask box is always open.

someone on instagram just removed all my comments on their reel explaining what felting is and how to do it to confused commenters asking if they can do it to their chenille yarn crochet creations… babe you are not going to successfully gatekeep one of the oldest ways to process wool. that is thousands of years of textile knowledge. deleting my comments will do nothing, we all know your washer isn’t magic

La Mode illustrée, no. 46, 16 novembre 1902, Paris. Promenades à travers les Magasins du Louvre, Marie Marcilly. Ville de Paris / Bibliothèque Forney.
Fashion editorial, translated by Google, edited for (reasonable) clarity.
Excerpt:
Naturally, the dresses follow this somewhat strange note of recent fashion, the skirts widen, the bodices become more complicated, the sleeves flare out; the whole ensemble "envelopes" the woman more than it defines her shape, as we can judge from the engraving, which we reproduce today. This dress, very dressy, in velvet, adorned with rich embroidery, flat at the top but very wide at the bottom, is accompanied by a straight garment, a rather short bag overcoat, with a large embroidered pelerine collar; French marten edging, all around and on the sleeves; luxury ensemble by which the feminine silhouette can hardly be guessed.
Full editorial:
When fashion takes on an eccentric look, as at present, it is necessary to make a careful selection, it is wise not to accept as law all manifestations of whims which are most often fleeting. We must, therefore, rejoice to see this choice facilitated by the very sure taste of important houses like the Louvre, which knows so well how to discard what new creations are shocking or ephemeral.
A first sorting carried out in this way, all that remains is to hasten to browse the various departments of the famous store which we are dealing with at the moment, and to realize the wonders that have appeared for the winter season.
The hats attract us at first sight, as much by their singularity as by their extremely becoming kind. They are: the Marquis, in small ruffles of cut-out taffeta, very tight, placed like a snail, rather difficult to define, simply lined behind with a long flow of black velvet (existing models in pearl grey, pale blue, black and red); the black plush bolero with a white moire background and rooster feather; the hat in imitation astrakhan, with white feather cap and chrysanthemum comb cover. Le Palace velvet cap in all shades, embroidered with chenille below, with tails behind and large pom-pom on the side, at the advantageous price of 31 francs; the Marquis, in velvet of all shades, adorned in an original way with satin zippers and Louis XV bows; the cap of squirrel, ermine background and cover-comb of mauve chrysanthemums, 49 francs. Then, in the large shapes, deliciously framing the face, there is the fluffy white felt, draped with applique on tulle, chenille with tiny polka dots, falling in drapery on the nape of the neck, and trimmed with a beautiful white feather below. The large flat hat, in russet guipure on black velvet, and the huge round hat, in imitation of white astrakhan, lined with pleated gauze; white feathers on the left profile and pretty silk muslin scarf sliding very low in the back.
We have seen this kind of straight jacket repeated at the Louvre, in the richest series and under the most bizarre aspect, with a sort of yoke in front and behind, playing to be mistaken as the chasuble of our ornaments of church. Even the evening coat is very short, in golden-brown silk muslin, entirely gathered with fine frills and flounces, having, at intervals, a large ring of trimmings from which escapes a sable tail! And finally the cloak-shawl, in sun-ray pleated satin, with an immense collar of guipure and silks; very curious.
More classic are the fur coats, boleros or overcoats, which differ from what we have seen in recent years, only by the inexplicable favor of squirrel, formerly reserved for lining pelisses, roundhouses. The Three-Quarters Velvet are also seen, but less than usual, and transformed as much as possible; some cut from wide strips of openwork taffeta and English embroidery, put in yokes, going around the skirt, barring the back; the others overloaded with embroidery on linen, with guipure which singularly rejuvenates their appearance.
In cloth coats, sable prevails over plain, as at the beginning of the season, and although it seems a little neglected, despite the velvet or cloth slips, with which one tries to make them more elegant. Vogue very justified by the qualities of this light and warm fabric at the same time, perfect for taking long walks, and has become essential in any well-understood wardrobe.
The plain beaver cloth is very visible, and shows us the preponderance of this hue. The Louvre has several of the most successful types: with large collar and established facings over the whole length, in front, trimmed in velvet with drapery appliqués, sold for 98 francs; short overcoat lined with satin, reversed collar covering the shoulders, strips of quilted cloth, at 49 francs; with wave back, Japanese sleeve, pockets, in a very original way, ornamentation of velvet and trimmings in tassels. Of different shades, we see a large number of them: coat of gray cloth, the applications of which, of the same material, are re-embroidered, and adorned with a matching cord, recalling the brown velvet collar, absolutely striped with stitching; in light beige, with several rows of plain flounces, flat, indented from distance to distance and forming battlements; in light cloth, embroidered all the way up, front, back, on the collar and on the cuffs of the sleeves; semi-fitted, highly trimmed with stitched bands and velvet collar, costing 130 francs; in beaver cloth, dotted with chenille buttons, embroidered with chenille, luxury coat, for 175 francs.
These garments accompany the most diverse ensembles, of which we have been able to see some remarkable models in the Louvre: simple and correct dress: pearl-grey, with wide inverted pleats at the shaped ruffle; apron made of stitched pleats; plain blouse fastened with silk tassels; with lapels and cuffs in cloth of gold, of the happiest effect; snowy red and white on dark gray has two .ruffles; cuffs, belt and front closure, in thick white and red embroidery; city suit in green and white "snowy", with large box pleats, marked with pins of plain cloth embroidered in black and white, with inlays of fluffy iron-grey bias; pagoda sleeve, revealing a sleeve of white silk muslin, like the waistcoat over which opens the bodice-blouse enlivened with cream guipure. City dress with box pleats, held in place by satin rods disappearing under large corded insets; delightful embroidery, of admirably melted palms, velvety with chenille; day yoke on satin around the hips; double sleeve; collar and edges of the cuffs in turquoise blue panne, and finally, dressing gown in webbed velvet Marennes green or in the range of bronze, with hollow pleats interspersed with tone-on-tone satin, lit with guipure rimmed with skungs; variant of a considerable series, renewed every day.
By its costumes for dinner and ball, the Louvre is still particularly distinguished; we will quote two of them at random, the lack of space not allowing us to mention all those which it was given to us to admire. In white and black, an evening dress strikes us: in pleated black silk muslin, the skirt rests on a white silk muslin underside, itself placed on a first white taffeta dress; the very flattened pleats are stopped at the ordinary height of shaped ruffles, by a large and magnificent white and black embroidery, of which certain detached motifs dot the bottom of the free-floating skirt. This same embroidery forms a bolero on the very fuzzy bodice, with short sleeves of black chiffon on white chiffon; high pale green liberty corselet belt, echoed on the chest by a tapered drapery.
For a young girl, lovely ball gown in pale pink chiffon with white chenille polka dots; first skirt striped in between with russet guipure, simulating a tunic cut into long teeth edged with guipure, independent of the underskirt ending in three flounces; bodice with a neckline decorated with a beautiful pink and white gold sequined embroidery, falling in front, up to the waist; sleeve-epaulette, made of several narrow flounces, edged with lace; pink satin sash with excessively thick but short bow; entirely white dress, in silk muslin with enormous chenille patches, very much in relief; mother-of-pearl embroidery around the neckline; high belt and drapery of white liberty satin; ruffled skirt gathered with a wide bubble.
This lightness, this harmony of fabrics and shades, we find them, at the last developed point, in the bathrobes of the Louvre which sometimes reach the unreal: the newest is in pleated satin sun, very superior to pleated accordion, in this sense that barely marked at the top and therefore bringing no thickness in the bodice of an empire dress, it widens extraordinarily at the base and gives all the fullness that one can desire. Struggling for favor with this very new genre, we have the bengal satin peignoir, supple and shiny; flat sleeve completely pleated with small pleats; lace insertion; or else these same insertions placed in front and with flounces, very rustling for 98 francs; cheaper, in surah, with a wide lapel collar, at 79 francs, and even 59 francs! Quite comfortable, in eternal vogue, remains the quilted bathrobe, which is garnished in various ways: with guipure, silk trimmings, in shell; collar-fichu, of satin, with small pleats and white guipure; more sober, with a collar of white cloth encrusted with velvet, of a coquettish shape and edged with lace; then the Japanese kind, closing on the side with oriental embroidery; model that exists in flannel at the incredible price of 29 francs! On the other hand, the truly original indoor dress caused a sensation, in white cloth with stitched bias with protruding cashmere breakdown, sleeve with three superimposed flounces, reminiscent of the triple collar of the shoulders; and also, the ideal empire dress that all young girls dream of for their trousseau; in pink surah, the entire top of the bodice shirred, with guipure insert; the bottom of the skirt with three very gathered little bonne femme flounces, edged with narrow lace; scoop neckline front and back, with a wide berthe ruffle; enormous sleeves from the shirred shoulder; exquisite for slim and graceful young lady.
So many particular genres from which derive the categories of matinees, readers, which the Louvre executes with the same meticulous attention: in surah pleated accordion, and lace; in Pyrenees fleece, Japanese cut with oriental border; in hand-embroidered flannel or with appliqué embroidery, lingerie, etc. Really elegant negligees that women, at home, wear with one of these two derivatives of the corset, well known to regulars at the Louvre: the bra- throat not touching the waist, essential for rest, and which is done in strong white cambric, for 5 fr. 90; in Greek tulle, ecru, blue, pink, for 9 fr. 75; or the corset-belt which, on the contrary, releases the chest while maintaining the waist and the hips. Opposite methods, but applicable according to the structure of the body, and proving that no detail, as far as the needs of women are concerned, escapes the vigilance of the Magasins du Louvre. We see it again in the considerable choice of lingerie petticoats, obligatory accompaniments to the bathrobes we have just mentioned: costume petticoat in nanzouk, trimmed with insertions, with a flounce adorned with large Valenciennes, small pleats in diamonds, in diagonal rafters; jaconas petticoat and English embroidery, in organdi on taffeta, in a word, everything that completes the rich interior toilet.

This DIY is soo easy and all you need to make it is:
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Felt in white and pink
Scissors
A pipe-cleaner/chenille stem (whichever you call them!)
A doll (For measurement)
The steps:
1. Bend the pipe cleaner in half, and twist around itself. Bend it to snugly fit the doll's head.
2. Attach two other pieces of pipe cleaner to the headband.
3. Cut four ear shapes from white felt, and two mini ear shapes from pink. Hot glue the white felt around the "antennae" we created in the last step. Then hot glue on the pink for inner ear pieces.
4. Try it on your doll and bend it to fit better. And you're done!

Nate the Bee's Friends!
Nate loves every one of his new neighbours in Home, but he has a different kind of relationship with each neighbour. After all, each of them is so unique! It makes sense they'd be loved for different things...so here's a list!
Eddie Dear is another favourite friend of Nate's. Nate loves the gentle, clumsy goofball of a neighbour. As a bee from France, Nate is also enamoured with Eddie's southern accent. Nate is always encouraging Eddie to get along with their grumpy neighbour, Frank, although it usually backfires on both of them. Nate calls Eddie "Monsieur Dear", although will also sometimes just call him "Dear One".
Barnaby B. Beagle is one of Nate's favourite friends! As Nate says, "a good baker always has a pun in the oven"! Together, the two make jokes and goofs and gaffs all day long. They also joke about how their middle initials are the same! The only difference between them is that Barnaby likes to poke friendly fun at his neighbours while Nate tends to shy away from teasing. Nate doesn't want to make anyone upset! But don't worry, Nate isn't a spoil sport...he doesn't mind when Barnaby makes fun of him! Except when it's in front of a particular, very handsome caterpillar... Nate calls Barnaby "Monsieur Beagle", although sometimes calls him "Le Chien Bleu".
Poppy Patridge is probably Nate's second favourite neighbour. Nate loves to come over to Poppy's place to bake, knit, drink tea, and relax. Nate is usually a very excitable loud bee, always buzzing about. Around Poppy, however, he stays calm and quiet so as not to alarm his large bird friend. Nate calls Poppy "Madame Partridge".
Frank Frankly doesn't seem like the kind of fellow that Nate would adore, but au contraire mon a-bee, Frank is the kind of person Nate enjoys quite a lot! While Frank may seem like a grumpy gus, Nate knows he opens up when he cares about something. And Nate cares about him! Nate is always complimenting Frank's gelatin creations (even if they're not to be eaten), and they're always hanging out in Frank's garden. Nate is also fond of listening to Frank talk about various insects, especially the moths and butterflies. Nate thinks that, if he hadn't been born a bee, he would have likes to be a rosy maple moth instead. Nate calls Frank "Monsieur Frankly".
Julie Joyful, surprisingly, is the neighbour Nate hangs out with the least. It isn't that Nate doesn't care for her. He adores Julie's creativity, her energy, and her up-beat attitude. It's just that she's so destructive and loud sometimes that Nate becomes overwhelmed! He was quite scared and shocked the first time they played pretend and it ended with Julie wailing and knocking things over as part of their playtime. A bee like Nathan is energetic enough as it is. Both of them together can be a little too much... Nate calls Julie "Mademoiselle Joyful".
Sally Starlet is another one of Nate's favourite neighbours, especially because she knows a little French. Sally sometimes asks Poppy and Nate to create confections for use as onstage props...although to Nate's dismay, they never end up eaten. Nate, however, is always willing to take part in a play, especially if the role is musical. Most often, Nate plays a friendly face onstage, but occasionally he makes a particularly enthusiastic villain! Nate calls Sally "Madame Starlet", a name Sally is very fond of.
Howdy Pillar is Nate's favourite neighbour. It's not because they're both buggy business owners who enjoy jokes, although he sees the similarities. No...it's because Nate has a crush on him! Nate is always buying baking supplies from Howdy's store, and he always orders a strawberry soda when he stops in. He likes to sit and drink his soda as he watches Howdy and Barnaby tell stories...although Nate is barely listening. He blushes very hard when Barnaby teases him, though Howdy is oblivious to Nate's fuzzy-buzzy affections. Nate calls him "Monsieur Pillar", or sometimes, "Ma chenille".
Wally Darling is a friend Nate is very fond of. Nate is always buzzing with excitement when Wally visits the bakery with one of their many friends! Nate is particularly proud of Wally's ability to show affection, especially his blown kisses! It's clear to Nate that Wally loves each of his neighbours very much, and Nate loves Wally right back! Nate knows that Wally takes some time to tell stories, and that even though his voice isn't very expressionate, Wally means every word of what he says, so Nate waits patiently and gives Wally his undivided attention. Nate calls Wally "Monsieur Darling".
Home is the neighbour Nate is the most curious about. He didn't know homes could be alive! The closest he's come to this concept is living in a hive! But not to worry, Nate's confusion doesn't get in the way of his love for him big, boxy neighbour. Nate will often leave sweet treats at Home's doorstep, free of charge (after all, it would be hard for a house to give a hug or blow a kiss! And Nate can never quite understand Home's jokes without someone there to translate). Nate calls Home "Monsieur House".

Work on 3/5 part series - TBC
This week I continued with the third of my 5 series. I am thinking about background and I want to try some different texture.
First I used chenille stems and knitted out the web. I enjoyed the weaving process. Then I placed the woven web on round board that had been painted fluorescent yellow, then I used airbrush.
Because I wanted to make the spaced lines more visible, then I painted white lines in between the blocks. I am satisfied with this background creation.
My painting of background creative ideas come from women in bondage. The physical fragility of women keeps them defined and bound. I wanted to depict this bondage in the shape of a spider web. I think the moment when the mind is most vulnerable is the easiest time to build self-awareness. When women feel helpless and vulnerable at the moment, we need to feel this vulnerability well, and in the process of reflection, it is also a process of self-knowledge.

Exploring the Depth of 3D Embroidery Designs
Exploring the Depth of 3D Embroidery Designs
Introduction: 3D embroidery designs have revolutionized the world of needlework, adding a new dimension to traditional flat stitching. These innovative designs bring texture, depth, and life to embroidered creations, making them stand out in both personal and commercial projects. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the world of 3D embroidery designs, exploring techniques, applications, and tips for creating stunning three-dimensional embroidery. What Are 3D Embroidery Designs? 3D embroidery designs, also known as raised embroidery or puff embroidery, are techniques that create a raised, three-dimensional effect on fabric. Unlike traditional flat embroidery, 3D designs protrude from the surface, adding depth and texture to the stitched image. Types of 3D Embroidery Techniques: - Puff Embroidery: - Uses a special foam material beneath the stitches - Creates a raised, cushioned effect - Popular for logos and text on caps and sportswear - Trapunto: - Italian quilting technique adapted for machine embroidery - Creates raised areas by stuffing from the back of the fabric - Ideal for adding subtle dimension to designs - Stumpwork: - Incorporates wire-edged elements that stand away from the fabric - Creates highly dimensional, almost sculptural effects - Often used for floral and insect designs - Layered Appliqué: - Uses multiple layers of fabric to build up dimension - Can create a relief-like effect in embroidery designs - Great for landscapes and textured designs - 3D Foam Technique: - Similar to puff embroidery but with more precise control - Uses specially designed foam that disintegrates with heat - Allows for detailed raised designs - Chenille: - Creates a fuzzy, raised texture using looped stitches - Often used for lettering and simple shapes - Gives a towel-like texture to designs Benefits of 3D Embroidery Designs: - Visual Impact: - Adds depth and interest to embroidered items - Makes designs more eye-catching and memorable - Tactile Appeal: - Creates a touchable texture that engages multiple senses - Enhances the perceived value of embroidered products - Versatility: - Can be applied to various items from apparel to home decor - Suitable for both subtle enhancements and bold statements - Unique Branding: - Offers a distinctive way to present logos and branding elements - Helps products stand out in competitive markets - Artistic Expression: - Allows for more creative freedom in embroidery design - Enables the creation of highly detailed and realistic designs Creating 3D Embroidery Designs: - Design Considerations: - Choose designs that benefit from dimensionality - Consider the end-use of the item when selecting 3D techniques - Ensure the design is suitable for the fabric type - Digitizing for 3D: - Use specialized digitizing software that supports 3D techniques - Plan stitch direction and density to achieve the desired 3D effect - Consider underlay stitches for stability in raised areas - Material Selection: - Choose appropriate stabilizers to support 3D elements - Select threads that complement the 3D technique (e.g., metallic for shine) - Use specialty materials like foam or wire as needed for the technique - Machine Settings: - Adjust tension and speed settings for 3D embroidery - Use appropriate needles for the chosen technique and materials - Consider using a specialized 3D embroidery foot if available - Testing and Refinement: - Always create test samples before final production - Adjust design elements based on test results - Keep notes on successful settings and techniques for future reference Popular Applications for 3D Embroidery Designs: - Sports and Team Wear: - Raised logos and numbers on jerseys and caps - Textured mascots and emblems - Corporate Branding: - 3D logos on company uniforms and promotional items - Raised text for name badges and signage - Fashion and Accessories: - Textured embellishments on clothing - Raised designs on handbags and shoes - Home Decor: - Dimensional elements on pillows and wall hangings - Textured designs on table linens - Craft Projects: - 3D elements in quilting and scrapbooking - Raised designs for greeting cards and gift items - Educational Materials: - Tactile learning aids for children - Braille and raised-letter books Tips for Successful 3D Embroidery: - Start Simple: - Begin with basic 3D techniques before attempting complex designs - Practice on scrap fabric to perfect your technique - Mind Your Fabric: - Choose fabrics that can support the weight of 3D embroidery - Consider using additional stabilizers for lightweight fabrics - Balance is Key: - Combine 3D elements with flat embroidery for visual interest - Avoid overcrowding designs with too many raised elements - Thread Selection: - Use high-quality threads that can withstand the stress of 3D techniques - Experiment with different thread types for varied effects - Maintenance Matters: - Clean your machine regularly to prevent buildup from 3D materials - Use appropriate needles and change them frequently - Consider Wearability: - For garments, ensure 3D elements are comfortable and practical - Think about how the item will be washed and cared for Challenges in 3D Embroidery Design: - Increased Complexity: - 3D designs often require more advanced digitizing skills - May need specialized software and training - Time and Resource Intensive: - 3D embroidery typically takes longer to stitch out - May require more thread and specialty materials - Durability Concerns: - Raised elements can be more prone to wear and tear - May require special care instructions for end-users - Machine Limitations: - Not all embroidery machines are equipped for advanced 3D techniques - May require upgrades or specialized equipment - Design Restrictions: - Some designs may not translate well to 3D embroidery - Size limitations may apply for certain 3D techniques Future Trends in 3D Embroidery Design: - Advanced Materials: - Development of new foams and fibers for enhanced 3D effects - Integration of smart materials for interactive embroidery - Improved Software: - More intuitive 3D digitizing tools in embroidery software - Better simulation capabilities for previewing 3D designs - Sustainable Practices: - Eco-friendly materials for 3D embroidery techniques - Waste-reduction methods in 3D embroidery production - Customization: - Increased demand for personalized 3D embroidery designs - On-demand production of custom 3D embroidered items - Cross-Technique Integration: - Combining 3D embroidery with other textile techniques like printing or weaving - Exploration of 3D embroidery in non-traditional applications Case Studies: Successful 3D Embroidery Projects - Sports Team Rebranding: A professional sports team used 3D puff embroidery for their new logo on uniforms and merchandise, resulting in increased fan engagement and merchandise sales. - Fashion Designer Collaboration: A high-end fashion designer incorporated 3D stumpwork embroidery into a couture collection, creating buzz in the fashion industry and inspiring new trends. - Educational Toy Line: A company developed a line of educational toys featuring 3D embroidered elements for tactile learning, receiving accolades for innovation in children's products. Conclusion: 3D embroidery designs represent an exciting frontier in the world of needlework, offering new possibilities for creativity and expression. By understanding the various techniques, applications, and considerations involved in 3D embroidery, crafters and businesses alike can harness this technology to create stunning, memorable designs. As with any advanced technique, success in 3D embroidery comes with practice, experimentation, and a willingness to push the boundaries of traditional embroidery. Whether you're looking to add a new dimension to your personal projects or elevate your brand's visual presence, 3D embroidery designs offer a world of possibilities limited only by your imagination. Embrace the depth and texture that 3D embroidery brings to your creations, and watch as your designs literally rise above the rest. Happy stitching in three dimensions! Read the full article

For a lot of us creative types, buying craft supplies and actually using them are two separate hobbies!! But if you are looking to stock up on the basics, then search for art and craft supplies Australiaon the internet and check out the huge range of art and craft supplies on the Craftworkz website.
We are Craftworkz, an online craft supplies company based in Sydney. We offer great quality, yet affordable products and our website makes it easy to place your order. We have a wonderful, inspiring collection of all kinds of craft supplies and we ship all over the nation. We are sure you will find something interesting on our website, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, get in touch with our art and craft supplies Australia team and they will do their best to help you out. You may find a lot of supplies on other website, but not every online store sells quality products at competitive prices all in a single place. This is what makes us different from the other websites. If you have a creative type business, you can also create a wholesale account and purchase at our competitive wholesale prices.
Apart from art and craft supplies, you will also find art and craft equipment and tools. We have a stockpile of supplies and equipment that you and your kids can use to complete your favourite projects. As we have talked about previously in an earlier blog post, creating art enables kids to showcase their young visionary talents and gain an understanding of themselves as individuals. Their mind and souls are deeply impacted, and this helps with the development of a positive self-image. Some children use creative outlets for communication. Children who may find it difficult to communicate through words and struggle to speak about their feelings, may find it an easier and gentler way to express themselves in the form of art and craft creations.
For children, having art and craft supplies readily available to them is a great way to encourage creativity. If you are a parent, grandparent, carer or educator, we’re sure there have been times when you’ve been pleasantly surprised by their imaginative little minds and the many ideas for creation and innovation that they can dream up. At times, children will organise, shape, and utilize art resources in innovative ways that even the creators may not have imagined. Having a well-stocked, inspiring craft box or cupboard is a great way to encourage children when the creativity bug knocks. Some necessary art and craft supplies that you should always have on hand if you have a craft and art lover amongst you, are glue and adhesives, markers, pencils, paints, sticky tape and scissors. These are few of the most common and basic supplies that will always come in handy when looking to start a project. You may use papers, MDF blanks and shapes, brightly coloured fun foam sheets and blanks, paper mache boxes, cones and scrapbooks, polystyrene shapes and sheets to start building your project and create something unique. Collage materials such as glitter, pom poms, chenille stems, and felt will always come in handy. You can create beautiful, handmade jewellery using wire and beads. You can make candles with our wax and candlewick. Your imagination really is the only limit! So check out our range of inspiring materials that are available in our online store and ready to be shipped directly from our Sydney warehouse.
