A/N: I've had this in my notes since December 2022. After showing it to a friend of mine @miss-andromeda I decided to add it to my TBaH AU as a quick Harry Potter themed one-shot... Hope you all enjoy!

"No, no, no! Don't do that!"

Raph felt Val's hand on his shoulder as he prepared to drain their fettuccini.

The red-banded terrapin gawked at her. "What?" He asked, carefully relinquishing control of the hot pot. "It was just sittin' there on the stove."

"You don't throw out pasta water, silly," the brunette chided as she returned it to the stove. Turning back around, she shot him a playfully stern look. "Pasta water is liquid gold; you don't pour gold down the sink."

"What're ya on about?" He chuckled, shaking his head. "It's just water."

"Just-" Val scoffed, feigning offence. "What?!"

Raph quirked an amused brow ridge at her.

"My goodness... Alright, lemme show you something," she beckoned him to join her at the stove. He obliged.

"See this?" The woman gestured to the pan of sauteed mushrooms, pork sausage and pesto. Raph hummed distractedly. He was trying to listen, truly. But his mind was fixated on their closeness.

The pair were packed together like sardines in her tiny kitchen. They typically occupied different areas (e.g., one at the stove, the other the counter) to avoid inadvertently feeling one another up.

Well, it was happening.

They stood adjacent to one another, with Val positioned slightly forward so they were not constantly bumping shoulders. Only problem was she had nowhere to go but toward him.

Raph kept his hands above his hips; one braced against the edge of the stove, the other at his waist. If he let the latter hang naturally, he'd certainly end up touching her ass or, at the least, her bare legs.

Her citrusy-sweet perfume blessed his senses, ushering his thoughts to those summer afternoons he and his family spent at the farm; chowing down on fresh fruit and sculling homemade punch. It brought him great comfort.

He stole another glance at her partially visible thigh tattoo. Tonight was the first time he’d seen it, as she almost always had it covered by either jeans or sweatpants.

It was about the size of a dinner plate and depicted two Koi in a Yin-Yang setting. It was beautifully designed and provided a splash of colour to her mostly monochromatic style.

Raph noticed it as soon as he arrived. He already knew what the Yin-Yang and Koi symbols typically meant, but he was curious to know what they meant to her.

"I'm a Pisces," she explained, raising her red-black tartan pyjama shorts to reveal the entire tattoo. Had she gone any higher, he would’ve needed to look away. "The dark-light Yin-Yang concept always resonated with me, so I had that implemented as well. I wanted my next one to be a little more, well... not personal, just-"

"-Wait, wait, wait..." Raph's interest piqued. "Are ya tellin' me you've got another tattoo?"

Not just any tattoo-

"A tramp stamp?" He couldn't help laughing.

The quote: 'You're just as sane as I am' was etched in cursive across her lower back.

Sweet saying. Unfortunate placement.

"It's not a tramp stamp," Lowering her shirt, Val turned to him with a frown; slender arms folding across her oversized Metallica shirt. "Haven't you heard of Harry Potter?"

Raph smirked. "Ahh, so you were one of those kids?"

"Whattaya mean by 'those kids'?" She dared him to elaborate.

"Ya know, the ones who make it their whole identity? The ones who took the quizzes to see which House they'd be in; which Patrona-thingy they'd get; which wand they'd get..."

"Alright, firstly, it's called a Patronus, m'kay? Secondly, I'm not ashamed to call myself a Potterhead, and neither should you. You're the same generation as me; there's absolutely no way you haven't taken at least one of those quizzes at some point in your life- ah, ah, ah! Don’t you dare try denyin' it, Raphael; I can see it on your face – you have done it!”

Ohh. Usin’ my full name now, are we?

Yeah, okay, fine. He had. Once. Once! Years ago. Leo initiated the trend, believe it or not. The lucky bastard got Gryffindor, Don got Ravenclaw (no surprise there), and Mikey got Hufflepuff (again, no surprise). As for him...

"I'll tell ya mine if you tell me yours."

She's a Ravenclaw. Surely. She's too much like Don not to be.

Val grinned triumphantly. "I got Gryffindor House."

Shit.

"Aw, what? I don't wanna tell ya mine anymore..."

"Now you have to tell me. C'mon, spill."

The terrapin heaved a defeated sigh. "Fine," he grumbled. "I got... Hufflepuff."

"Aww!" Val swooned. "Really??"

At that, Raph groaned and averted his gaze. You walked into that one, buddy.

"No, please. I’m sorry..." Val implored, trying not to laugh as she touched his forearm. "There's seriously nothing wrong with being a Hufflepuff. I actually think it's quite sweet. It suits you."

He eyed her quizzically.

"Sure, Gryffindor sounds cool. You've definitely got some of the traits. But hear me out, okay? You, the Nightwatcher. You went out, alone, and did your part to protect this city. For no other reason than that - to keep us safe. Another example..." She smiled tenderly, continuing. "I never thanked you for not telling anybody about how we met. You could have, but you didn't. For that, I'm incredibly grateful..."

He felt it, again; that fluttering sensation in the pit of his plastron. He equally delighted in and resented that feeling...

"You're welcome," he murmured, returning the smile.

"Hufflepuffs, at their core, are fiercely loyal, just, and protective people. You can't possibly stand there and tell me that doesn't sound like you... Wear that badge with pride, goddamnit!"

Raph chuckled and shook his head, fighting to conceal the absurdly large grin that was pulling at his lips.

Damn you, for makin' me feel things!

"Hey, you with me?" Val bumped the terrapin with her hip, snapping him out of his reverie.

"Hm? Ah, right - pasta water."

She playfully rolled her eyes, before continuing. "The starch in the water acts as a thickener for the sauce," she explained, adding then stirring in a few tablespoons of the liquid. Lo and behold, a sauce started forming. "See what I mean? Water alone wouldn't do that."

"Well, whaddaya know..."

The brunette side-eyed him. He grinned. "Aw, piss off!" She laughed, elbowing his plastron.

Shoto Todoroki: Hogwarts AU

Shoto Todoroki is a pureblood wizard born on the 11th of January 1980 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1991, being sorted into Ravenclaw house.

He was the youngest son of Enji Todoroki, an auror who eventually became head of the Auror Office after Toshinori Yagi's retirement.

He grew up in an abusive household which eventually caused his mother to snap and pour boiling water down his face, scarring him for life.

Despite this, he was never angry with her and after befriending Izuku he started to visit her often at St. Mungos with his siblings.

Due to his abusive upbringing, he intended to only hang out with his siblings and not befriend anyone but that ended up failing as he became one of the best friends of Izuku Midoriya, one of the 15th chosen ones.

During his fifth year, he became a member of Makarov's Army (with him being one of the few members that knew about the existence of the Order of the Phoenix).

He, Katsuki and Izuku were the only members who were aware of it's existence due to their parents being members.

He went on the run in his 7th year with the rest of the Deku squad to hunt down All For One's horcruxes and later participated in the Battle of Hogwarts, which he was later given an Order of Merlin for after he helped with the defeat of his werewolf brother.

After graduating, he became an auror and later married Momo Yaoyorozu with the two of them having a daughter and twin sons together.

He has a beech wand with a unicorn hair core.

His Patronus is a Chow Dog.

His favorite subjects are Defense Against the Dark Arts and Charms.

His least favorite are Potions and Herbology.

What would you say are the Patroni of each of Lily’s friends and Mr & Mrs Potter

Ooh, that's a hard one! This is sending me down a research rabbit hole. This is also based on my interpretations of the characters (mainly as portrayed in 'creature comfort') so it may be a little different to dominant fanon interpretations :) To start with I took the Extended Patronus Quiz (here), taking it as each character, and then decided if I agreed/disagreed with that, but used it as a base.

Marlene - so Marlene's top answers came out as 'weasel', 'salmon', and 'dragonfly'. Of these, I thought the dragonfly suited her. She's definitely something with wings - free-spirited, light, and high energy. She's definitely unique and, when she comes to her Order days, quick on her feet. She's also a risk-taker. Dragonflies also don't live very long - :(

Mary - Mary came out with four answers at 100% - 'dolphin', 'white mare', 'black and white cat', and 'chow dog'. My Mary is definitely a cat person and I thought that the black and white cat suited her best of all of them. One website wrote that black and white cat patronii are 'aloof, yet affectionate', and I think that describes Mary to a degree. She tends to isolate herself but cares deeply, and has a gentle nurturing side. She's also fairly clever - it's her insecurity holding her back.

Dorcas - At 100% Dorcas got a 'thestral' and a 'buzzard'. She definitely has a thestral patronus. She is misunderstood, shadowy, and avoided, but is kind and accepting. She has a divinatory gift and has a deep interest in matters of life and death, fortune and free will. She is also introverted and tends to melancholy.

Euphemia Potter - Euphemia's top results were 'Dolphin' and 'Nebelung Cat'. One of my cats is actually a Nebelung, so I have a very soft spot for the breed, and I thought Euphemia suited that personality perfectly. She is loving, curious, loyal, strong, and cares deeply for her family and draws her strength from them.

Fleamont Potter - Fleamont got 'stoat' and 'nightjar'. I went back and forth on this for him, but decided on a stoat. He's a creative thinker, resilient, a little mischevious, and driven by passion and interest. Also, the stoat sort of resembles how I imagine him looking physically - tall and thin - and reminded me of Albus Potter's ferret, which I thought was cute.

Sangyeon is the Head Boy of his house;

Was elected to be prefect for his house when he got to the fifth year;

He’s clever and responsible, got good grades and is an exemplary student;

He’s also hard-working and super good at leading;

Always takes care of the younger ones and anyone who needs his help, to be honest;

He’s pretty good at quidditch, he’s a chaser!!!

Captain of Hufflepuff Quidditch team;

Has the potential to be Hogwarts Champion;

Girls and boys all over Hogwarts have a crush on him because he’s that kind of guy that is super funny and super cute but isn’t really aware of that;

Looks harmless but could actually hex the shit out of you anytime if it was needed;

His friends constantly make fun of him for anything (poor boy is that type of hyung who the younger ones won’t leave alone);

JACOB

Even though he's a pure blood, he’s super cute and loves getting to know anything about muggle borns and muggle things;

He’s part veela… so he obviously has girls (and boys) swooning over him all the time;

Could get away with anything because of this, but he doesn’t because he’s too pure to do anything wrong;

Has the most undying loyalty to his friends;

The elves at Hogwarts kitchen totally love him! He doesn’t need to steal food because they give it to Younghoon soooo gladly;

The true embodiment of ‘he protects, but he also attacks’;

Seems tough for a Hufflepuff, but because of his soft nature he does have the tendency to cry a lot depending on the situation. He needs to be protected sometimes. Hyunjae is always there to dry his tears tho;

He’s too clumsy to be around animals and plants for too much time, even tho herbology and care of magical creatures aren’t his worst subject;

Look too soft, but if there's a problem he'll confront it and take action needed - always with good intentions, of course.

HYUNJAE

But I can guarantee you, he’s super funny and a sweetheart to the ones who knows him better;

Flirts a lot, but doesn’t really have a girlfriend/boyfriend;

btw my patronus:  Chow Dog – One of the few ancient dog breeds, the Chow Chow is proud, independent, and highly suspicious of strangers but fiercely loyal to family. If your Patronus is the Chow Chow, the people closest to your heart know the lovable, playful you. However, everyone else may see you as introverted, proud, or even haughty. Hi! My group of friends and I are all Syltherin and I saw this page. I was wondering if you could do an analysis for Syltherin Chow Dog and Slytherin Doe. It's the only ones not on your master list.

I would be happy to! Though I still have several more Pottermore Patronuses to analyze for my Slytherin cohorts: rattlesnake, leopard, and black mamba are the next three on my list.

Dogs in general are associated with protection, devotion, and bravery. Chow Chows, native to China and one of the oldest dog breeds in the world, are most associated with the first of those traits, as they were the models for the guardian “Foo dogs” that guard many Buddhist temples and palaces. Its Chinese name translates to “puffy-lion dog,” and like lions the dogs have been known to be aggressive. They are incredibly protective of their owners, even compared to other dogs.

Having a Chow Chow as your Patronus means you find comfort in protecting. You are a territorial and authoritative sort – you don’t want anyone laying a foul hand on your things or your friends and family, and you have a bite more than venomous enough to ensure no one does. You are very in-tune and enamored with your heritage, which is very appropriate for a Slytherin, as well as noble of spirit. You take great satisfaction being a guardian to your interests and will fight for them with all of your fire. Should you ever come to a dead-end leading to certain doom, this Patronus will bound out of your wand, its posture majestically tall and its teeth fiercely bared. It will protect you until you remember the power you feel in protecting the ones you love…and then rise to likewise protect yourself, the thing your loved ones cherish most.

Deer are peaceful creatures who were once sacred to the Greco-Roman Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis/Diana. While stags are generally associated with heraldry, does are symbolic of gentility, vigilance, determination, and virginity.

Having a Doe as your Patronus means you find comfort in grace – not physical grace, but the kind you find in true nobility. You are a loyal friend who does not give your devotion blindly or change your allegiance easily. Like many other Slytherins, you have a code of honor that is strictly your own, but that you will always obey.
