Are there any storyboarding apps that are good and not super expensive or subscription based
#Chatterbomb#I used notability and really liked it but then it wanted me to pay for a subscription#I liked the select few pens (pencil pen and highlighter) and the duplicate function was pretty simple! I liked that I could add an mp3 to#Listen to the audio while boarding and that I could scroll through the pages#I think I would like if the eraser could be more selective with what it erased (like just the pencil or highlighter or pen)#I didn’t like how the quality dropped in transport to a pdf#But notability would’ve been good if it didn’t have a usage limit!! If it was just a one time purchase I’d reconsider but it’s bullshit to#Make a note taking software subscription based!!#I didn’t want to use procreate because it feels too professional to just scribble the ideas down#it also doesn’t have as nice of page layout and it doesn’t select strokes. Which is fine for an art program but I’m looking for something m#Probably more vector based. So the quality isn’t at risk I guess? Would a vector program be better for storyboarding?#Then again I like the pencil for the drawings themself. i tried looking up online what sap4hana even does but could only find confusing corporate that has a lot of words but says absolutely nothing. so i can only conclude from the only reliable evidence presented to me (wiz on tumblr telling me) that the only thing it does is being Evil.

I just wanted to say that I utterly adored your pmv!! The way each picture went so well with the words and flowed with the dynamics of the song *chefs kiss* I always thought of myself as a Silver lover but you’ve blown me out of the water!
The Fairy Gala scenes were probably my favorite, just Silver being proud and everyone moving to catch him 🤧 AND THAT BACKGROUND AT THE END WAS SO SPOT ON!! Amazing job and I can’t wait to see what you do next!

today i learned that we weebs are responsible for the existence of the .ass file type. #heritage
#花話#i actually learned this yesterday i've just been cracking myself up over the 'hashtag-heritage' thing ever since#.ass is a subtitle file btw!!! they're what make the really pretty ones with the elaborate typesetting and positioning n stuff#i always thought they did that shit by burning the fonts into the video via aftereffects or smth but it turns out#that while you could burn an ass file to a video for hardsubbing you can apparently just. like it's a text file you can use a text editor#and also turn them off when watching your stuff if you wish and god i was so surprised when i realized you could do that#with the pretty subtitles bc when using online streaming the soft subs were usually so ugly#anyway through a series of wacky hijinks i've ended up coding a subtitle file type converter these last few hours#and in looking up the standards for how .srt .ass and .vtt files are formatted i learned this gem#and you know what!!!! it makes soooo much sense#of course we weebs went off and made a file type for elaborate subtitle styling and positioning and timing#the intersection of art and technology in the weeb fan sphere is actually pretty cool!! there's niche ass software for so much shit#bc of the tendency of weebs to be into tech and stuff#in my spelunkinh around the old web i've also found a bunch of old specialized scanlation software from the 2000s!!! that's so cool!!!!#i just use a notes program and photoshop but they were out there in 2004 or so making photo editors that#could not only open up and edit multiple images in sequence you could page through but also load up your translation txt file#and i think also had specialized tools for cleaning text bubbles and stuff#and also obviously correcting scan issues and straightening things out AND THIS IS SO COOL!!!!#like we did that!! that's how things were done before i got into anime!!! back when i was a little kid; before i was even rlly sentient!!!!!

guy who feels a reasonable level of excitement about a vocal synth announcement voice: yeah so ive been listening to the virvox anniversary video (where the voice providers sing in-character) on loop for the past few hours imagining in my mind's eye what Kotarou's AI voicebank might sound like

#god that video is cute. the mixing is a little clunky but who i am to judge. i cant do much better LOL#specifically the pic for akashi.... hes so cute here. and i forgot how nice his vp's singing is#but anyway yeah listening to this year old tiny bit of kotarou's vp singing does make me realize...#you know i was struggling a bit for a second there imagining what an AI singing voicebank for such a character-y voice would sound like#because a lot of AI vocal synths aim for classically pretty and clean voices (especially in sv but also in cevio and such)#BUT now that im thinking about it. hes kind of a boyish equivalent of zundamon's voice in the sense that hes like#high pitched giggly and intentionally a little goofy and mascot-y. so i think i can picture it a bit more now... i am INTRIGUED#i think he'll be a really fun addition to a lot of peoples vocal libraries. he'd work for a lot of goofy and jokey songs i think#and if he's on a software i can use i'll probably put him on some emo shit LOL#because i love hearing cutesy idol-y mascot voices sing emo shit <3#Youtube
