Staging on all ten scenes is now done (including the sub-scenes and the very long scene)!!! I've also troubleshooted some rig problems along the way. Vera needs some fixes, but otherwise everything looks good. Hopefully, nothing too major will crop up on the actual animation stage.

Prop and crowd scene work is also done on the first scene! This should also just about mark the end of Geometry Nodes work on this episode, so no more time sinks there. The background assets are being reused from a previous episode, so now it's just a matter of putting everything in place.

Here, we see an ant, and the last new beetle model: Clef! What kind of beetle is Clef, you ask? Well...you'll have to check the notes on that one.

Barring any more hideous explosions from the new Blender version, I should be able to finish up background work on the first scene over the weekend. After that, work on the other scenes should go fairly quickly...except for the kitbashing, of course. Nonetheless, I think two weeks is a reasonable timeframe. Then, animation!!! Because it's a very long episode, I'm giving three months for that. With the new rigs, however, it might just go faster than that. Let's see if all the prep work pays off! Until next time!

Chicory is on the mind again. Every once in a while I'll get nostalgic over that game I'm so fond of, as I still consider it as a small yet crucial piece of a puzzle I struggled a lot with. Can't help but scribble stuff for it (and also can't help but insert some of my characters in there, haha!)

So once again I say out loud, Chicory is very good

It also gave me the opportunity to revise some of the picnicsonas I've done of my own characters some time ago, as well as make some new ones as well! This is also sorta two-faced as there's one more thing I wanted to do, and this was a warmup of sorts to get into that style for a moment. So we shall see soon hopefully...
