Alicia Hannah-Kim discusses Kim Da-Eun's return in season 6 of Cobra Kai, including her relationships with John Kreese and grandfather Kim Sun-Yung, managing Kwon, the Sekai Taikai after season 5's defeat, and female and Asian representation in the cast.

She also chats about the work of inclusive organizations for the arts like Asian American Girl Club and Korean American Leaders in Hollywood, visiting the set of K-drama Queen of Tears, and developing her own projects.

What about Reader is an actress on ck and is always asked if she's dating her costars but she always avoids the question. But she's actually poly with Jacob and Xolo?

“So, Reader, I have a more personal question to ask.” Reader laughed as the YouTube reporter grinned at her. Sitting across from each other in the small white-lit room. The atmosphere slowly started to shift the longer the interview went on.

“Well I would hope you have something good for me.”She said while getting comfortable in her seat. The fluffy couch the studio has is perfect. Settling down into the nice cushions Reader looks back to the guy named Nick who was interviewing her. He seemed like a nice guy and all but at the end of the day, he was still a reporter. Most of the questions that were asked so far were pretty tame.

But now after that brief pause, she knew something big was coming.

It did not sound like it was going to be a fun question.

He gave a small grin saying “So I know for a fact that you have not made a statement about your dating life since staring in Cobra Kai.” he leaned back in his chair.

“Oh well, I guess. My dating life has never been that interesting and I guess I just wanted to keep it a little more private?” she nervously giggled. Maybe she should have suspected a question like this at some point. It was only a matter of time before the topic came up. People were always interested in famous people's dating lives. Thinking back on it, he was completely right. She had never made even the slightest remark about her dating life in a while.

The urge to continue keeping that information to herself was high.

“Well can't you give us a little something?” he wiggled his brows at her. Reader nervously laughed.

“Well I am in a very happy relationship at the moment. That's all I am going to say about it at the moment.” a smile crossed her face. Thinking about her handsome boyfriends made her feel all warm inside. Both of whom were actually sitting in other rooms being interviewed.

The guy raises a brow before making an awkward cough. Clearly a little annoyed at the fact she wasn't giving him what he wanted. A smirk started to form on his lips as he leaned in a bit. Playing with some cards in his hands, most likely with different questions he had planned to ask throughout the talk.

“So you can't confirm any of the rumors going around that you might be dating one of your costars from the Cobra Kai set? That seems to be a hot topic amongst your fans.” 

“Oh well I mean- I can see why. Most of the cast is really close. We all hang out a lot and most of us hang out separately a lot too. I can't blame any of our fans for speculating things.” she gave a small smile to the camera.

“So does that mean-”

“Nick come on now lets talk about something else.” Reader deflected Nick’s question once again.

The rest of the interview was spent awkwardly trying to get around that one question.

After two hours of back and forth the interview was over for the day. Reader was free to leave and she was definitely happy about it. It was so draining to continuously be asked stupid questions over and over again in one setting. She huffed little while walking out of the large building. She only started to feel better when she noticed who was next to her car. Leaning against her car talking to each other was Jacob and Xolo. With a big smile she jogged over to them.

As soon as she got to them Xolo chimed in “So how did your interview go?” Jacob snorted for some strange reason. Reader rolled her eyes “ Irritating, I got this guy Nick who was so pushy. Did you guys have someone who just wouldn’t stop with the-“ she was interrupted by Jacob saying “Dating questions? Yeah the chick I got wouldn’t stop trying to say shit. Can you believe she really tried to insinuate that I could be dating…Mary of all people??” He raised a brow. With a goofy grin Xolo actually bent over a little and started to laugh, Reader doing the same.

“Mary? Really?”

“Dude that hilarious, you hardly even hang out with Mary these days.”

“I know right?!?” He threw his hands up in a playful manner.

Xolo finally got back to his senses as he straightened back up. With a small cough he mentions “So who did they try to say you were with?” Reader got a little flustered “Actually he didn’t try to pin anyone down. He just kept pushing that it was someone from the Cobra Kai set. Which I mean is kinda the only set I could be really dating someone from at the moment because it’s the only series I have been filing on for a while now-“ she yelps as two sets of hands pull her in. Looking around quickly she finds no one but them in the parking lot. The place completely empty, no cameras in sight. Even the security cameras on the building are pointing away from them.

It’s the perfect angle to not get their little moment caught.

A smile blooms over Readers lips.

She feels Xolo’s lips on her neck which has her giggling. Jacob’s hands gently grip at her fluffy hips and belly. She can feel his soft breath on her cheek as he starts to nibble on her jaw. It’s so nice, just being able to have a moment to themselves. They can’t do this in public.

The urge as celebrities to keep this special little romance between the three of the secret.

Something no one else knows about. Something that only they can enjoy without worry. It was never about the three of them being together. Coming out as a poly couple didn’t scare them at all. It was being caught in a relationship period that they didn’t like. They had been enjoying each others company for months now with no problems. So far the relationship had been wonderful and the idea of people finding out and possibly trying to ruin it scared them a little.

No one needed to know that Reader Jacob and Xolo were in a loving and happy relationship together.

“So we meet up at Jacob’s tonight for dinner then?”

“Hell yeah babe.”

“Oh I can cook that dish you guys like this time.”

Jacob and Reader grinned while they started to kiss all over Xolo’s face.

Those reporters could think what they wanted.

Too bad they were only half right on who Reader was actually dating on the Cobra Kai set.

this interview where the cobra kai cast gets asked what their characters would be doing if they never started doing karate and gianni decenzo basically simply replies "yeah, demetri would be doing the exact same thing. trying to get into mit." and then immediately after jacob betrand casually going "i think my character would be dead" and then quickly walking it back because thats crazy to drop in the middle of an interview.

like demetri making these plans for his future, eli and mit, and that's always been a sure thing, he'd never considered otherwise and nothing's changed for him (so also like "joining a dojo is the best thing that's ever happened to me" MY ASS) so he's distressed when eli goes back on this because he's losing his best friend again when he just got him back. but for eli it's like maybe the future was never a sure thing. and now it's happening and he's actually letting himself put thought into what he wants.

Based on my analysis of Robby's Hero's Journey, the end of s5 was the end of stage 9 of the 12-stage Hero's Journey. This was also the end of Act 2 in the 3-act story structure.

Stages 10, 11, and 12 are left in Robby's Hero's Journey (and in Johnny's).

s6 is 3 parts, 5 episodes each.

As I mentioned in my post, Robby's Journey coincides with a lot of the story major beats in each season and in the overall story.

Given the pacing and length of the story and and the writers claims that they specifically wrote s6 as 3 distinct parts/mini-seasons, it's possible that each part of s6 is a remaining stage in the Hero's Journey.

S6 Part 1

Stage 10. The Road Back - The hero returns to the original world and sees the light at the end of the tunnel, but they are about to face even more tests and challenges.

"[One] version of step ten sees the hero returning to their ordinary world, believing that the adventure is over. It seems like the hero has defeated the Shadow because the Reward has been claimed. This false sense of security creates the massive fake-out you're setting up! This scene often shows the hero and the remaining cast of characters at peace, feeling safe and secure."

The description for the start of Season 6 that was recently released said this:

"Picking up with Cobra Kai eliminated from the Valley, our senseis and students must decide if and how they will compete in the Sekai Taikai — the world championships of karate."

We, the audience, know that Kreese and Cobra Kai are lurking in the background, regrouping. "Our senseis and students" don't know this yet. They believe Cobra Kai is truly defeated, so they have a false sense of security because of this victory. They had taken part in the Sekai Taikai trials to stop Cobra Kai from spreading, so they're now wondering if they will compete in the tournament. They had each also finished the season on a seemingly positive note, but a lot is left unresolved for them individually and in their relationships. The writers have said in different interviews that things are not resolved between the characters, the rivalries haven't been explored, and all the feelings are still there.

It's likely that s6 part 1 will shatter the false sense of security that the senseis and the students have, both in the larger plot with Cobra Kai as well as in their individual journeys, and bring to light unresolved issues. For example, Kreese plays a crucial role in Johnny's and Robby's journeys and the exploration of generational trauma in the storyline connecting them. Kreese will be making his return and joining Cobra Kai. Also, Robby will have a confrontation with Kenny early on, it seems. Kenny also plays an important role in Robby's Hero's Journey.

S6 Part 2

Stage 11. The Resurrection - The climax. Also known as the "dark night of the soul". The hero faces a final test, using everything they have learned to take on the conflict once and for all.

Based on news and leaks, it sounds like the Sekai Taikai takes place in Part 2. This makes sense, the story is coming to a head. The main final battle, the climax, will be in this stage/set of episodes. I had said in my post (a few months ago, before we had confirmation about the 3- part, 15 ep final season):

Robby's Hero's Journey is coming to a head. The climax, aka the Resurrection, is around the corner. From my analyses, the other characters' journeys are converging at this climax.

S6 Part 3

Stage 12. The Return - The hero brings their knowledge or the "elixir" back to the ordinary world.

Some of the recent leaked images of the final scenes that were filmed are speculated to be in (mid) part 3. Those pics indicate something like "the elixir" being brought back by Johnny and Daniel and shared with the "ordinary world". Of course, those are just a few pics, and there are 5 episodes, but the point is that there are 5 episodes after the Sekai Taikai. The story doesn't just end with the tournament, as the movies did. These episodes will likely give the story a proper denouement/resolution to the storylines (or as proper as perceived by the writers).

Of course, we don't know yet what will happen in s6, but Robby's Hero's Journey having 3 stages left and season 6 having 3 distinct parts, with the Sekai Taikai coinciding with Stage 11 (The Resurrection), is telling.

Blue Beetle 4K Ultra HD Review

Jaime Reyes (Xolo Maridueña) is a recent college graduate who returns home full of aspirations for his future, only to find that home is not as he left it. As he searches to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes when Jaime unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab. When the Scarab suddenly chooses Jaime to be its symbiotic host, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the Superhero Blue Beetle. 

Maridueña from the hit tv series Cobra Kai again plays a very likeable character here, the only problem is he's surrounded by a cast who are a lot less enjoyable. George Lopez portrays Rudy Reyes, Jaime’s uncle, an eccentric genius of the Reyes family, with a talented mind for technology and drives around in a souped-up Tacoma truck. Somehow, Jaime's uncle, although a technological genius, seems to have never been able to help the Reyes family get out of their financial troubles. Lopez is obviously in place to provide comic relief for this action flick, unfortunately most of his jokes miss the mark. Other members of the Reyes family include the equally annoying Milagro Reyes, Jaime’s sister and Nana, an 80-year-old female Rambo (eye roll). Susan Sarandon portrays a generic power-hungry villain who lends little to this film's plot, with a muscle-bound right-hand man who is the Blue Beetle's physical equal thanks to Sarandon's evil company and wallet.

There's also a force-fed love story between Jamie and Jenny Kord, the daughter of Ted Kord (whose extracurricular pursuits led to the eccentric genius’s mysterious disappearance, leaving his family to pick up the pieces). Jenny is forced to uncover the well-hidden secrets of the Kord family and fearlessly challenge their company, Kord Industries, to do what is right.

VIDEO QUALITY 📽️ :  A-

2160p transfer looks beautiful and the picture is especially nice during the action sequence in which the 4K source material really shines.

AUDIO QUALITY 🔈 : A

The Dolby Atmos mix is even better than the film's video. The sound is bombastic yet crisp.

EXTRAS 📀 :  C

Blue Beetle Generations - Divided into four short and self-explanatory sections, this multi-part promotional piece features interviews with key cast and crew members, behind-the-scenes footage, camera tests, and other items that explore the film's development, shooting, visual FX, costumes, characters, original score, production design, and more. Along with the other two extras, it's not tremendously detailed but very nicely produced with excellent cinematography, slick transition effects, and a 2.39:1 aspect ratio to match the film clips.

I wanted to like this film, but the Blue Beetle is its own worst enemy. Although the visual effects and action sequences are up to par with silver screen blockbusters, the plot, dialogue, and character development are made for tv quality at best.

your humble anon back to praise you for those casting choices!! rebecca demornay the absolute beauty!! and phoebe cates is so so perfect! please know i am cheering you on from the sidelines waiting to give you the kudos you so rightfully deserve. (and if you feel like sharing headcanons, i would love to hear about them! also, you mentioned being inspired by hacks so is miguel the ava to johnny's deborah? or is he just the catalyst to johnny's reemerging career? it's all so interesting however i can be patient i promise!!)

i am not very far in hacks so as of right now ava and deborah’s relationship is… tumultuous to say the least. i will admit, yes, miguel would be johnny’s ava in this context. they don’t have the same arc at all or the same bond but miguel is sort of this door for johnny into the modern world and all it includes.

in my mind, after his fall from grace (and i will get into that), johnny becomes a bit of a recluse. she moves from the heart of LA to a much more secluded place where she does what canon johnny does at the start of cobra kai, she works for a fixing company and makes very little money doing gigs. she doesn’t live from acting at all, she barely gets royalties and she doesn’t have ANY contact with her old friends and costars. miguel moves in her building where she has never been recognized before. in opposition to the face claims i gave, this johnny has gotten a bit more masc and butch in her older age and people wouldn’t immediately associate her now to the image of America’s Sweetheart Joanna Lawrence who was once in every magazine and was a double sided poster (on one side, johnny with her teased to hell blond hair, posing in roller skates with neon shorts and a shirt that says LOS ANGELES, on the other side, johnny at the beach, playing volleyball in a red bikini. she was everyone’s crush, she was THE sitcom it girl) but miguel does recognise her because he and rosa watch a lot of reruns from the 80´s comedy show she and danielle were in and he tries to befriend her for an autograph.

in doing so, miguel explains to johnny that a lot of people would pay a nice amount of money for autographs, for interviews, anything from this actress that disappeared from the public’s eye. the show back then was extremely popular and the 80´s nostalgia has hit america. johnny, for money but also to prove herself she can be more than what the world has told her, tries to reboot the show as an actress and writer (with miguel’s help) and that is when her path crosses danielle’s once again.

as for johnny’s downfall, there were rumors of alcohol (true), drugs (true), homosexuality (true) and her sleeping her way to the top (untrue and that’s why she was blacklisted for so long). she was arrested at 25 years old for crashing her car inside her manager’s house. it was seen as a coke fuelled accident (but in truth, johnny might have tried to murder kreese) and it completely burned her reputation.

miguel, robby and sam are all around 21/22 here because i admit getting a bit tired of writing high school experiences and also because i love the idea of johnny with a team of writers who are all so young and so social media trained that they have to block her out of twitter so she doesn’t get canceled before she can get back into the spotlight. aisha and tory will also make an appearance (and maybe the binary brothers as well).

danielle, as stated in my first post, is an A list celebrity (think kind of meryl streep ish in terms of legend BUT she hasn’t been filming in a long while). since miyagi’s death, danielle has had a hard time getting back onto the saddle of acting, motherhood is also extremely hard when you’re stuck in an heterosexual marriage as a lesbian, your daughter has fallen into some bad crowds and your son would sell pictures of you to TMZ for fortnite skins if you weren’t already paying for everything. she has been thinking of directing more and more (she has refused to do too much to her face and body apart from some hair dyes and a little botox which means that even if she did want to film, she won’t find a good role) and she has the ambition of maybe rebooting this 80´s comedy show she was once a part of but as a lead and director this time so when she learns that johnny is already on the case, she loses her mind a little.

i feel like im already giving quite a bit away here but im actually very excited to get into writing this!!!

That on the carpet interview for the CK (season 4 I think) premiere interview where he points out how tall TIG is.

He is forever the king of pointing out how small he is.

I think they figured out specific angles to shoot them from/at TBH - to minimize it.

They do stuff like like in shows and movies all the time.

It also tickles me pink that TIG leans down during the country club scene to be more eye level (and more in frame).

There is 💯 an alternate scene where, after he tells Daniel - I like this attitude in you, he scoops him up bridal style and then rails him into next week.

Sometimes I think Danile needs the feral in him fucked out lol

um anyway finishing my earlier thoughts about the red white blue movie and whether those guys have chemistry. so EYE think they are very clearly buddies and it’s pretty much ridiculous to say they have “no chemistry” however what those people are TRYING to say is that they don’t have sexual chemistry. which is almost unfair because well we all know people who have read red white and royal blue don’t know what sex is so how would they know the difference. sorry that was mean. i just think people who read cringe books and think they’re not cringe are probably not fucking i just think there’s probably correlation there idk. hey i’m not fucking either you can’t get mad at me for saying that. we’re all femcels here… anyway. yeah i think what the “no chemistry” crowd means is just that they don’t have like. romantic or sexual chemistry that they can see. i don’t know if they do man my brain is so confused on this front i don’t even have a stance like i’ve seen too many edits of those guys to songs i like i want to say they have chemistry but what do i know i just listen to taylor swift. what i DO want to say is that the other guy. not my sad eyes prince. the other one. he gives Straight to me. which is crazy because he’s literally an actor. but he gives Straight he gives Bad At Acting he gives nothing. could they really not have casted that better idk maybe i’m wrong about him he just seems underwhelming to me. very like. cobra kai actor core. sorry to those guys. but you cannot stand there and tell me you think all those people are very great actors. some are really good i mean courtney henggeler has been carrying that show on her back for years. but like. ok i don’t want to get mean you can just infer for yourself which cobra kai actors are not great actors i know we all know. what was i saying. oh yeah that guy gives nothing to me he’s very lame. sad eyes is giving his all though i can’t wait to see him cry in this movie it’s gonna be crazyyyy. also i really hope they do let him sing a queen song tee showed me a post with a passage from the book where he sang a queen song at karaoke if that happens in the movie i’ll dylan spontaneous that would be so huge. basically my stance is that um that movie is very likely going to be kind of bad so it probably doesn’t matter that much if you think the leads want to have crazy sex with each other because it’s biggest audience is going to be book fans who will delude themselves into thinking it’s good no matter what. also have you guys seen that one picture of those guys idk where it’s from but they’re like on the floor and someone else i guess stood on a chair to take the picture. i love that picture of them to be honest that’s the image that got me on the side of Yes They Have It vs my previous stance which was No They Don’t. not to do rpf. unless. no i’m kidding i obviously would never do rpf unless there were at least three random interviews of them on youtube i could watch on repeat for a week not that i’ve ever done that with anyone. quickly does anyone here remember anything i posted about in 2021 please say no. ok i think this post is over now bye

Brandon H. Lee discusses his role as Kwon Jae-Sung in season 6 of Cobra Kai, including his impact during the events of part one, shaping the character, working opposite Martin Kove, Alicia Hannah-Kim and Ralph Macchio, and joining an established series.

New amateur actress omega reader joining the cast but when they are out and about paparazzi are always trying to get pictures of her bc everyone wants to know who she is and everything about her but she's actually shy and sensitive so the alphas of the cast always scent her, put their arms around her, and ward off the paparazzi and cameras bc all they want is to protect her. This ofc only spurs on rumors of "which of her new cast mates is Reader dating?"

Reader joining the cast is a pretty big thing. It's not just because she's a up and coming actresses, it's because she a omega. When she joins the cobra kai cast it's a big thing for everyone. Almost the whole cast is made up of alphas minus Mary and Hannah who are the only omegas on set. Reader being added makes them the only free omegas on the whole lot.

She is also the only omega on set that doesn't take supressents. Both Hannah and Mary take them for their own personal reasons. Reader doesn't like them, she's also very proud of being an omega even with all the side effects that come with it. That being said her scent is all over the place. Wherever Reader is, everyone knows it.

The whole cast takes to her very quickly as soon as they meet her. She is so sweet, soft-spoken, and just an all-around sweetheart. A few of the alphas get a little blushy with how cute she is. Her being shy also has them all on the “awe!” train. Of course shy omega isn't new but that doesn't stop it from being adorable. It's safe to say the whole cast has taken to being very protective of the shy omega the longer she's on set with them.

That's why she always has someone with her during events.

Reader isn't the biggest event fan, that's pretty clear. Red carpet even at along with just plain big events make her nervous for good reason. Reporters and phroghers are always all over the place. Ready to pounce at her from the moment she gets out of the car she's in.

That's why all of the alphas take turns accompanying her to said events.

“Jacob nooo!” Reader practically whined at the guy. Jacob was too busy trying to pump out his own scent to really care about the girls whining. Rubbing his scent all over her was more import in that moment.

“Come on I don't want you getting jumped as soon as we get out of the limo. You know how those paparazzi are. It's better that your covered in my scent, maybe it will help to throw them off and they won't try to attack you.”

After a good two or three minutes he felt comfortable enough to pull away from her. Now she was completely clocked in his nature scent. It would be hard to even get a whiff of her sweet scent. His own musky one did the trick with ease to cover her scent.

She huffs and slumps back into her seat, cheeks puffed out. Jacob just playfully rolled his eyes and chuckles.

When the limo stops in front of the walk away she is the first one out. The flashes of lights are almost blinding. Photographs line the walk way along with the wider carpet stage area. Among them are a group of interviewers. As soon as they caught sight of her they started to flock. Jacob was quick to exit the car as well. Side by side the two made their way up the main walk way and onto the carpet. Ever so slowly they walked along the carpet letting the cameras take their pictures. They stoped to do a pose or two, getting some together and some by themselves.

Everything was going well until one of the lone interviewers got away from the flock.

Some random guy stuck up under the ropes around the sides of the walkway, shoving his mic into Reader’s face. For a moment the omega was slightly stunned. Words caught in her throat as the alpha reporter popped her personal bubble. It was almost like she couldn’t speak. Her shyness taking over.

“Reader are you dating anyone from the cast?”

“It must be hard working on a set that has mostly alpha castmates, how does it feel being on of the only omegas on set?”

“You are covered in one of the alpha casts scent as we speak, is that your new alpha?”

On the outside Reader is only stunned but on the inside she’s freaking out. But it’s only a matter of seconds before her body is betraying her. Her scent is being pumped out like a leaking faucet. Having the random stranger all over her was messing with her. It didn’t help that the guy was an alpha. Pressing all over her making she want to run off. His scent was so off putting that it made her nose twitch in disgust. Trying to step back did nothing to get him away.

That’s when Jacob made his way between them. He pushed the guy away, physically snapping at him. 

The two quickly walked away from the carpet and into the large venue. Jacob made sure to keep her close as they made their way inside. His nose was quick to pick up on their other castmates scents in the near by room. It was only a few minutes u til they found most of the other cobra kai cast sitting at a large table in the main event room. Most of them were already sitting down. Some stud up talking to other actors and actresses that littered the room.

It was as if the other had already smelled them coming because everyone started to look their way.

Maybe it was Jacob’s already irritated scent that had their heads turning, or maybe it was Readers panicked once that was seeping though Jacob’s cover up scent he had given her in the limo.

The rest of the night was spent with the alpha cast members surrounding the shy omega. Occasionally scenting the omega nonchalantly. Not caring if anyone saw them doing it though out the night.

hey, i was wondering how you were hoping kreese’s arc goes in s6 in regards to his relationships with johnny and tory. i love reading your cobra kai metas and would love to hear your thoughts on this!

There's like........what I want, what Martin Kove, insane John Kreese actor/apologist wants, and what we can reasonably expect the Big Three to actually give us, given what they've alluded to in interviews about where we left the characters at the end of S5. These are all kind of different things, though.

I think we've officially left that character in the darkest place he's ever been, because he's un-tethered from any pretense of following rules (he's a fugitive) and he "hates everyone" (per Josh Heald.) Up until now Kreese has always operated within a system, part of his whole game is hiding his ruthless, Darwinian nature under a veneer of respectability—playing up the retired Vietnam vet who just wants to help kids shtick. No more! He's faked his own death and assaulted people to escape from jail. This is full-on, willing to kill Captain Turner to survive Kreese. I fully expect their to be some guerilla warfare motif in S6 with how he operates from the shadows.

Season 5 kind of played with him realizing his mistakes and the ways he's hurt people but also dismissed the notion of him changing his ways and reaffirmed him as the Big Bad of this universe (even worse than Terry, because he can do what he does without the benefit of money or power.)

So, I see him starting S6 as the most menacing version of himself. I fully expect him to go full-on Hannibal Lecter, weird creepy phone calls to Johnny, showing up at Terry's place like a slasher film villain, etc. I really hope that Thomas Ian Griffith decides to come back for S6 because I feel like the Kreese and Terry relationship is one of the major unresolved plot threads of the show (and the fact that they had no scenes together in S5 felt like they were saving that confrontation for S6.) I would like Kreese to get a giant "I told you so" speech to Silver. He earned that. And then idk, they fight to the death over a snake pit.

As far as Johnny goes...well, I think in Martin Kove's perfect world Kreese would straight up kidnap him until he agreed to come back to Cobra Kai, lol. TB3 basically said that Kreese feels rejected by Johnny, someone he's always held out hope of reconciling with, so I expect some lashing out....though I do wonder if it will be directly or if he'll redirect his anger at someone like, say, Daniel—because it would be easy to blame Larusso since Kreese hates him anyway and blames him for their relationship going south in the first place.

I honestly believe that Kreese's ideal endgame would be dying at Johnny's hand, tbh. I think doesn't want to hurt Johnny, but he wants Johnny to be "tough" and to affirm the rightness of the CK ideology and carry it on. So while I've never really thought that him "attacking" Johnny directly would be an in-character thing for him to do, I could see some provocation (particularly if S6 is the last.)

We're definitely not going to see a "reconciliation" between them, but I do think Johnny has been in denial about the effect of the relationship on his life and the degree to which he's still deeply wounded by it. I think Kreese is kind of his last "monster" he has to slay—that is, coming to terms with that relationship and eventually forgiving him. And idk, maybe Kreese gets a Vader death. I would be down for him going out like a champ, like body slamming Terry into a snake pit because he's about to kill Johnny or something cray cray like that.

(Sidenote—I can't wait for Kreese to find out about the Lawrence Baby and be super weird about it.)

As for Tory...that's a big question I'm on the fence about. A lot of people think she's "done" with CK/Kreese after her awful experiences in S5, which would make sense, but also seems unlikely because at this point her character is his character's only major link to the younger cast. I could see her attempting to be the voice of reason with him if he gives her some of his weird fugitive Hannibal calls (maybe suggesting he turn himself in?) Obviously Robby won't want her to have anything to do with him, but Tory, for all she felt disillusioned with him "giving up" on their plan in S5, is a very loyal kid, and I would like to see her having some mixed feelings about him or a conflict around that relationship. Kreese kind of let her go at the end of S5, so maybe he'll try to stay away. If he gets CK back he's going to want her back as a student, though.

I think the set-up for Kreese and Sensei Kim reconnecting and forming the latest iteration of CK was a pretty obvious foreshadow, so I assume they'll do something with that. It could be interesting to see him work with a woman. If the Sekai Takai is at the end of S6 then I expect it to be in some country without extradition laws to the US so Kreese can emerge from the shadows again to menace our heroes.

The Voice Of Final Fantasy XVI's Cid Will Play Galactus In Marvel's Fantastic Four Movie

Marvel Studios has cast Ralph Ineson as the planet-eating Galactus for The Fantastic Four. PlayStation 5 players might recognize that name as the voice of Cidolfus Telamon, aka Cid, in Final Fantasy XVI. This casting comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which reports that the production will begin shooting mid-summer in England. 

Ineson, whom you might also know from The VVitch, The Northman, and The Creator, joins a star-studded cast for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first film about Marvel’s First Family, which features Pedro Pascal (HBO’s The Last of Us) as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning) as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear), as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Joining Ineson is a female Silver Surfer played by Julia Garner (Ozark).

Paul Walter Hauser (Cobra Kai) and John Malkovich (Being John Malkovich) will also appear in The Fantastic Four, although their roles are currently undisclosed. 

If you’ve played FFXVI, you already know Ineson has an incredible voice, certainly perfect for the role of a massive galactic entity that devours planets; we can’t wait to see what he does as Galactus when The Fantastic Four hits theaters on July 25, 2025.

Peyton List recalled how her acting career kicked off with a small role in Spider-Man 2, reflecting on the disappointment of having her scene cut.

During a recent interview for the Livin' Large w/ Mark Dohner podcast, List was asked about her career beginnings. At just six years old, the future Cobra Kai star and her brother had been cast for a brief scene as two children on the stairs. List initially joked sarcastically that "that was a huge platform, being the girl on the stairs, that really boosted my career." From there, she shared the real story behind how she got that role in the first place, and how she came to see the bright side of her moment getting axed from the theatrical release.

"I asked my mom at a really young age. I knew what I wanted to do, which is so odd. I feel like I was a super mature, little kid," List said, remembering how her mother wound up fighting for her to get signed by the agency. "But yeah, I asked my mom and also these agents approached my brother, my twin brother, Spencer... They approached him on the Staten Island ferry in New York and they were like, 'This kid has it. He’s so handsome. We want to sign him.' And I was like, 'Hey, I’ve always wanted to do it!'"

List added, "They were like, 'No, you don’t look alike. You’re like the ugly twin, so move aside.' No, I’m not kidding! So, my mom brought us both into the agents, and my brother’s just kind of always been the one that’s super chill, and I’m like, 'I would love to do this. Hi!' And they were just saying, ‘Yeah, we don’t need girls. We just want him still.’ [...] And so my mom said, ‘You have to sign them both, because she really wants to do it. If you have to get him, you have to get her,’ and she was like, ‘or we’re walking.'"

The Scene Getting Cut "Humbled" Peyton List

Describing her mom as "a savage," List gives credit to her for making her "dreams happen, as the agency ultimately acquiesced to the request to take both children. List and her brother were then both allowed to audition for Spider-Man 2, and they happened to be cast together as two children shown on staircase who are "basically fighting over how to spell Spider-Man." List also recalled that she "probably barely got paid" and that it was a "double whammy" when she learned that her big scene was ultimately cut, given how she was passed over initially by the casting agents.

"It’s pretty awesome. My part got cut, so," List said. "Yeah, it was a double whammy. ‘They didn’t want you, you got cut from your first film, welcome to Hollywood, kid!’ But, it was good for me. It was good for me at six... It humbled me. That’s why I have super low self-esteem… No, I’m kidding."

When I saw interviews of Alex in the past when he would mention his family or future work he would say things like his Mum wanted him back in Denmark and to work on projects at home, etc. I can't remember the interviews or when as it was years back but I remember hearing that a few times and thinking yeah it must be hard to have your child working in another country miles away but surely if their dream was to act you would be supportive and understand them being away a lot and for long periods? If he put himself out there a bit more he could have went to Hollyweird and got some more big offers or some mid offers that were still bigger than anything back home. Yes it would mean being away from home more but usually actors/actresses/singers etc can fly back and forth often and actually see friends and family more often than those of us in regular jobs. It just makes me wonder if his Mum was a but pushy and controlling or has a big personality and influence over him and hence why he went back home and took more Danish offers and hasn't had anything big or had any offers of a big production? Also, given the COVID pandemic and lockdowns and travel restrictions he has kind of lost some momentum and now interest in him isn't as big as it was when Vikings was on so he will now struggle to stand out esp now he is hitting the 30s soon, it limits his roles a bit more also, esp in Hollyweird when there are a pool of young up and coming talent plus nepotism and those who are actively out there pushing themselves to be noticed, unlike Alex.

Another point from above I have thought is, if his mum is a bit domineering and over-involved in his decision making etc then I can see why he has ended up with someone like Johanne as she seems bossy, domineering and pushy. It also ties in with him making a life in Denmark instead of going abroad to spread his wings and get more jobs. While I don't agree with personal attacks on her looks, the things I have seen of her she comes across way too over-confident and cocky. I am more of an introvert-extrovert in the right company personality and have come across many like her and her friend group and they just take over and dominate social situations. They usually are seen as the confident ones, life and souls of the party but I always found those types sucked the life out of everyone else around them who was not loud enough to stand out from them. They can be charming though and maybe thats what he likes about her, her over the top confidence. Those types always seem to get what they want so its no surprise she is getting lots of work now. I agree that her being on every song on her podcast is just cringey and is a way to give her fame and attention and is not to promote and enhance the actual guest on the podcast.

Regarding Marco, the same interviews i mention above i read some from Marco too and in them his plan always seemed to be to move back home and do smaller independent projects, and pick productions on the quality and story rather than take everything he is offered. I remember him saying he didn't like the idea of Hollywood and all that comes with it so he had no intention of going out there or being a major actor over there. Its the same for many other shows - GoT, Cobra Kai, Stranger Things, etc its like a couple from this shows become super famous, the rest are never really seen in anything big ever again, just small parts here and there. So maybe he and many others in the Vikings cast will struggle to ever be a part of another production like Vikings. I find it strange, considering their friendship throughout the years filming vikings that many of the younger cast dont seem to interact with each other at all or hang out, even once a year or something, esp Marco and Alex living in the same country. I loved Vikings but many plots/subplots got beyond annoying by the final seasons which I think hindered the likes of Alex, Marco etc so I don't feel its entirely their fault the show wasnt as good as it was, they done the best with what they were given, same with all the extras and behind the scenes crew. It was the director who ruined their seasons in my eyes with his incessant use of pushing his daughter Torvis character into every big storyline and putting her with 1 of the main male characters each time a husband died or left her. The not aging the female characters. The falling in love with a female slave plot trope being overused and the Ivar thinking he is a God and pitting the brothers against each other killing off Sigurd, then Bjorn, not to mention the civil war and Lagertha suddenly killing Aslaug to usurp and become Queen were all hated by many loyal fans and turned them off the show. The real stories of Ragnar's sons were so much different and they all conquered so much, that could have been explored and maybe the show would have had a few more seasons in it?
