by the way, if you're a hearing person you don't get to tell d/Deaf people (or their families/friends if the d/Deaf person in question has expressed they're comfortable with it) that they're not allowed/shouldn't refer to their hearing aids/cochlear implant as their 'ears'.
"but you shouldn't because-" shut the fuck up. you don't get to speak. you don't get an opinion. you don't get to flap your gums and tell d/Deaf people what they should or shouldn't do based on your HEARING opinion.
just shut the fuck up. and NO having a d/Deaf family member, friend, or even child does not mean you get to speak on this.

If you experience sudden hearing loss Singapore, it’s important not to wait for the symptoms to resolve on their own. The sooner you seek medical help, the better your chances of recovery.
If your hearing loss is not treatable with medications, a cochlear implant Singapore is a surgically implanted device that helps restore hearing by directly stimulating the auditory nerve.

✨Cochlear Implant Surgery ✨ +1863(784)5002 and Rehabilitation

A cochlear implant is very different from a hearing aid. Hearing aids amplify sounds so they may be detected by damaged ears. Cochlear implants bypass damaged portions of the ear and directly stimulate the auditory nerve. Signals generated by the implant are sent by way of the auditory nerve to the brain, which recognizes the signals as sound. Hearing through a cochlear implant is different from normal hearing and takes time to learn or relearn. However, it allows many people to recognize warning signals, understand other sounds in the environment, and understand speech in person or over the telephone. auditory brainstem implant Contact us ☎️☎☎☎ +1(863)784 5002

if you want to learn sign language of any kind your one and only reason for it should be proper person to person communication. not because it's "so beautiful", not so you can talk shit and nothing else, not so you can say swear words without other people knowing.
if you're learning sign language your one and only reason should be to communicate with people who use sign language. learning sign language means learning about an entire complicated, extremely important culture and the people who are a part of that culture.
you can not learn sign language without learning about d/Deaf culture in depth. it also means learning to stay in your lane on d/Deaf issues. learning sign language and learning about d/Deaf culture does not mean you get to speak on d/Deaf issues, and a lot of hearing people don't realize that.
this has been a notice from a d/Deaf person

Cochlear implant Singapore surgery is typically safe and takes a few hours. The internal component is surgically placed, and children usually go home the same day. Recovery time is minimal, but your doctor will provide guidance on post-surgical care.
When choosing a provider, look for a trusted children ENT specialist in Singapore experienced with cochlear implants. With the right guidance, cochlear implants can be a wonderful option for giving your child the chance to hear, learn, and thrive.

May I request the Uchiha with their girl getting cochlear implants so she can hear their voices for the first time? She's probably cry not gonna lie!
Madara
Madara is not an openly emotional man, but there is something about this moment that tugs at something deep inside of him. He sits beside her, arms crossed, his face unreadable, but his fingers are curled tighter than usual, betraying his impatience.
When the device is activated, when her breath hitches and her eyes widen, his entire body goes still. And then, when she turns to him, as if following a sound she’s never registered before—his voice—he exhales slowly.
-You're shaking,- he notes, voice steady, controlled. -Breathe, little one.-
But she isn't breathing. She is crying. Silent, overwhelmed tears that she doesn’t even try to hide. And when she reaches out for him blindly, fingers clenching at his sleeve, Madara does something uncharacteristic—he takes her hand in his, warm and solid, grounding her. His grip is firm, unyielding, as if anchoring her to the present.
-You hear me now, don’t you?- His voice is softer now, lower, meant for her ears alone. And when she nods, wiping at her tears with her free hand, he only gives her the barest trace of a smirk. -Good. I expect you to listen when I speak, then.-
Obito
Obito is the most impatient of them all. The second the device is activated, he’s already leaning forward, eager, watching every little shift in her expression. When her eyes go wide and she lets out a small, startled sound, his heart jumps.
-Oh shit—can you hear me?- His voice is loud, rushed, unfiltered. He’s never been good at controlling himself when emotions run high. -Say something! Can you—
He stops when he sees the tears streaming down her face. His throat tightens. She looks up at him, dazed, eyes wet, lips trembling, and for the first time, he realizes just how much this means to her.
-You’re crying…- He sounds almost awed, almost guilty for overwhelming her, but then she laughs, a shaky, disbelieving sound, and Obito loses all sense of restraint. He pulls her into a bone-crushing hug, holding her so tightly her feet almost leave the floor.
Damn it, don’t cry—shit, okay, you can cry, but— God, this is amazing. You’re amazing—damn, I can’t believe this. You can hear me. You can actually—
She nods against his shoulder, laughing through her tears, and Obito just holds her tighter. He doesn’t care who’s watching. She can hear him now, and that’s all that matters.
Shisui
Shisui is grinning even before the device is turned on, trying to keep the mood light, but beneath that easy smile, his fingers are tapping against his knee—a nervous habit.
When her hearing kicks in, he sees it in her face before she even reacts. The widening of her eyes, the sharp inhale, the way her lips part slightly. She’s completely overwhelmed.
-Whoa, hey—easy there, sweetheart.- His voice is soft, playful, but the warmth in it is unmistakable. -I know I have a great voice, but don’t go fainting on me now.-
She lets out a choked noise somewhere between a laugh and a sob, hands flying up to cover her mouth as tears spill down her cheeks. And just like that, his teasing falters.
-Ah—wait, no, don’t cry, you’ll break my heart!- He reaches out instinctively, brushing his thumbs across her cheeks, wiping away the tears before they can fall further. -You hearing me now? All this time, I’ve been talking your ear off, and now you actually get to suffer through it.-
She nods, sniffling, and Shisui grins. But this time, it’s softer. More tender.
-Welcome to the chaos, beautiful.
Itachi
Itachi watches in silence. He is composed, as always, but those who know him well would notice the slight stiffness in his posture, the tension in his jaw, the way his hands are carefully still in his lap.
When the device is activated, his breath holds. He sees it—the tremor in her fingers, the way she tilts her head, almost instinctively, as if trying to locate the sound. His sound.
-Can you hear me?- His voice is quiet, almost hesitant.
And then she turns to him—really turns to him. Eyes shimmering, lips parted in disbelief, breath trembling as she nods.
Itachi does not move, does not speak again, but something in his eyes softens. And then—very slowly, very gently—he reaches for her hand. Their fingers lace together, grounding her, steadying her.
-Good,- he murmurs at last, voice softer than she’s ever imagined. - (Y/N)... I have much to say.-

Yet ANOTHER silly (which for me, means angsty) headcannon
What if, after years of explosions and loud sounds from the fireworks, Yong actually goes deaf?
And yes, I know Varian was around a ton of explosions with his science and everything but the entire point of fireworks is that they explode one way or another and since he'd be a stupid little kid when he started making them he probably wouldn't take proper safety measures, so he would slowly lose his hearing.
And let's say he didn't really notice it, for him barely being able to hear (I wanna say he's completely deaf in one ear and mostly deaf in the other) is just normal for him and while he finds it weird how Yong asks him to repeat everything or speak louder, Varian would just assume its him trying to understand it better but Hugo, that would be a different story.
Hugo gets just a tiny bit sick of having to yell for the kid to hear him, but his annoyance turns to concern when one day Yong almost gets run over when the Caravan's breaks malfunctioned and Hugo had to shove him out of the way since Yong didn't move when he screamed for him to move (Varian and Nuru were out buying food or something in this senerio) so he finally starts to actually ask proper questions and Yong just says "Yeah, I can't hear most of the time" or something like it's completely normal?!
So, after hearing all this. Hugo not only teaches Yong (and later the rest of the gang) Ingvarian sign language (since he used it with Olivia sometimes) but made Yong either hearing aids or later on cochlear implants and Yong is just completely flabbergasted at how things normally sound like for people and might get overwhelmed with the sounds so they have to help him get used to it and this could actually help him make fireworks better since he could recalibrate the explosions or something? (Idk how fireworks work) and it would just be reaaaaaaaly cute<3.
Im on FIRE with thease headcannons! Anyway, feel free to use this in a fic or fanart (tag me so I can see it) and yeah, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk folks!

Is it fine to write a Deaf character who received a cochlear implant in early childhood if I use it as a plot device for their eventual integration into Deaf culture? I would make it so that the implant fails and they reject any and all further attempts to integrate them into mainstream society with audism.
Hi!
It is fine to make a character who uses hearing aids or CI, full stop. And it is fine for those devices to work in some capacity. That is the lived experience of many d/Deaf individuals. You don't need to justify the character's aids or "offset" it somehow by having them not work.
Hearing assistive devices are not cures and do not make people magically hearing. But just the same, hearing assistive devices not working (or someone not using them) doesn't extra-validate their Deaf identity.
The Deaf pushback against CI (and hearing assistive devices in general) is that hearing parents often treat them as "cures" for their child's deafness and provide no other aids, or only provide support for their child to pass as hearing rather than giving the best access to information. Additionally, CI is an invasive surgery and can be dangerous, though it usually isn't.
There are plenty of Deaf people who use and like their CI or hearing aids. There are plenty who don't. It's such a broad community with so many different lived experiences. You don't need to feel like you must write a d/Deaf character one specific way. The guidelines we give here are to avoid inaccuracies, and things we'd like to see more of.
One thing I would love to see is someone who has CI or hearing aids and uses them when they want but has also had access to Deaf community and sign language from a young age. I know many people like that in real life and yet that's not representation I've ever seen in a story.
Your character's CI doesn't have to be a plot device. It can just be an aspect of their character. Have them involved in the Deaf community, absolutely! But you don't need to "make up for" a Deaf character who uses CI in any way, because hearing assistive devices and Deaf community are not antithetical.
