I made the cutest little bat for a friend of mine. I know I've become shit at posting, but have you seen the state of things lately? I mean...it's getting to be quite a hell scape and I truly regret never having the guts to leave the country.

I'm trying to find the passion to post new content on my oF site, but it's partly accepting the changes I've been going through.. which is totally normal, but it's not normal for me so I'm self conscious and struggling to pick my self esteem out of the dirt.

It took me nearly 3 weeks to realize my jewelry website domain had expired. That's how far in the dirt my head has been. I have over 30 pieces of jewelry to add to the site and I just haven't managed to get the photography done along with creating the pieces.

Still waiting for a hip replacement....i put it off to be available to my mom and dad after his knee replacement. It's been nearly a month since his surgery and he's been having a hard time getting back to normal. It's his right knee, so he can't drive himself anywhere and he's not great at taking care of himself either. It's made me think twice about having my hip done. Like, I don't wanna be fucked up for that long. I mean...i already am in severe pain. I don't want to do anything that makes it worse.

This was way more of an update than I meant to write.

thinking about jeremy hitting rock bottom his freshman year, losing so much in one disastrous night, the repercussions of which would continue to haunt him for years. thinking about jeremy spiralling so bad cody said they “really thought we were going to lose him for a while there.” cat saying the right therapist can be “life changing”, using jeremy as an example. thinking about how bad jeremy’s crash out must have been, understandably; thinking about his family continuing to blame him for noah’s death—from the coldness of annalise, to the outright antagonism of bryson, to joshua ignoring him for years. the wilshires doing everything in their power to cover up what happened at the banquet rather than lending an ounce of support to a boy who had lost his brother in terrible circumstances, because jeremy was there, because it was so much easier to blame him for all of it. coldblooded, if you ask me. jeremy needed help, not damage control.

thinking about jeremy having probably the worst year of his life, having the opposite of emotional support from his family, and still somehow coming out of it a better person. thinking of all the work he put in to be better and succeeding—i’d rather die than ever be that person again. believe me. despite the hostility of his family system, despite being blamed for the fallout, despite the guilt and heartbreak that “nearly destroyed him”. still jeremy managed to build a new life for himself out of the wreckage, going so far as to be captain of the trojans, with a team who respect and admire him. still he managed to come out of it with such a capacity for kindness and goodness and lifting the people around him up.

thinking about jeremy continuing to be the human embodiment of sunshine despite living in such a cold home that was never forgiving or warm to him. jeremy knox, you will always be loved by me.

Absolutely NOBODY EVER is allowed to say that Tommy doesn't like Buck just as much (if not more) than Buck likes Tommy. Nobody EVER can say that. This man worked a 10+ hour shift fighting a fire that left him Covered in soot, and his FIRST THOUGHT once it was over, was to get his ass to the hospital to be there for his date with Evan. Without stopping to change or shower or even wipe his damn face. No one is EVER allowed to say that Tommy doesn't care about Evan Buckley. I am going to bat for this man.

she is blue, like the TARDIS - his TARDIS, her second mother. blue like the diary modelled after it.

he is orange, like the life she breathed back into him, lifetimes sealed in a single kiss. (clock that blue light flare on river too-!!)

blue and orange. orange and blue. the colours where they come to life.

even his TARDIS interior is blue and orange: the echo of a timeline that still lingers in soft whispers.

from an artistic perspective, these colours were probably only used together so often because they're complementary, which can add depth and distinction to a shot. but still, it feels meaningful: they're complementary. just like river and the doctor. so different, and yet they look and work perfectly together.

now, if you'll allow me to stretch the point a little further, let's go back to lake silencio, at the junction where sand meets water:

(i'm calling this a stretch because i'm well aware the sand is more yellow than orange, lol. but those colours are analogous so... i figured the idea was worth keeping in)

she emerges from the water, so cold, so blue.

he descends from the sands, golden and warm.

they meet where land meets water, orange yellow meeting blue. he is the sun and she his sky, and at 5:02pm, the universe folds itself around them, curling in on the point where these colours converge.

Am i the only one who really dislikes the talon grayson shit? I genuinely don’t think the court of owls is very interesting in general, but their relationship to dick and hally circus specifically really rubs me the wrong way. It’s like writers took a story about normal, well intentioned people (that in some versions have mary and john being poc, which only furthers the racist stereotype that romani folks are “sketchy”) who were struck by tragedy, and made it into a whole ass conspiracy theory that ruins the point of multiple minor characters who already didn’t get much attention from the comics, but especially, it ruins the point of nightwing and his origin.

Do we really need another character who was raised to be a super secret and important weapon that is tied to random stuff across the whole universe? Don’t we already have two of those? Don’t you think it’s better when batman characters are just normal people??

Just. what was even the point of that??
