Heya folks, today I offer you a transformers oc. Meet ColorPicker, an old as fuck modification artist from Petrex who watches over a small group of neutrals.

It doesn't matter who you are, if you need to change your frame or face, she's the one to look for. Autobot, Decepticon or neutral, she's seen it all.

The reasons bots look for her are as varied as they come, she doesn't judge, just takes whatever she's offered (credits, parts, favors, energon) and gets the job done.

This got a bit long so I'll leave the backstory under the cut.

She did her fair share of borderline illegal modding back in Petrex, changing bots appearances so they could begin a new life under a different different identity far away from the city - one such case was her former conjunx Lifeline (previous designation Sysiphus), a refinery worker who left to Crystal City in the hopes of getting permission to study to act as a medic; upon returning to Petrex the pair worked together for a couple of years before being eventually arrested and separated.

(I didn't have a particular continuity in mind when coming up with her, however I'm going with 2005 IDW's take on Petrex's goverment, so think very strict functionism and repression running rampant).

After a somewhat brief stint in captivity ColorPicker went back to her civilian life under heavy surveillance (not that it stopped her more 'shady' deals from taking place); she would come across Lifeline years later, recognizing the paint job she spend cycles over on the corpse of an empurata victim amidst the rubble left in the aftermath of a clash between enforcers and armed civilians.

She spent a few years traveling from place to place after that, moving cities whenever the local authorities started paying a little too much attention.

She ended up picking a stray in Kaon that reminded her a little too much of her late conjunx: a young miner turned gladiator named IronJaw, who took to patching his fellow pit fighters with whatever he managed to get his servos on.

Megatron's revolution took off - IronJaw appearing at her door step was expected, the look on his face plates not so much. the purples, silvers and blacks she had set aside remained untouched; once again red and white found themselves on her work table.

ColorPicker left Kaon with company, the kid now going by IronPatcher.

After leaving Cybertron the pair drifts for a while, staying close enough to where the action is so as to take whatever job is sent their way. It's how their small group of misfits slowly forms and how ColorPicker meets her second conjunx: a tired but incredibly headstrong Decepticon commander by the name of Pickaxe.

Between clandestine meetings and coded messages the pair built their relationship; after eons of war, weariness started to creep upon Pickaxe as the cause she so fiercely defended seemed to grow more and more distant - She had doubts in the end, ColorPicker was well aware of it, a heavy weight that hung over both their heads everytime they met.

Pickaxe died on a skirmish against Autobot forces, far away from the front (old wounds acting up, she shouldn't be on the field, backup never arrived). Desperation and lack of resources and the cesspool of atrocities that the war turned them all into - the news came in the form of two battered and angry shapes sent to ColorPicker's doorstep: Oblivion and Hazard, twins who served under her partner, the last addition to her mismatched family arriving on the wake of yet another devastating loss.
