Just hearing now about Israel and, upon such, have some thoughts but I also recognise I'm not the most educated in the history of the matter nor know enough to have a strong opinion.

I will say, however, that it seems that the governments and those in power are to blame on both sides while I'm always seeing innocent people, civilians, suffer for power hungry governments.

Too many innocent Palestinian civilians have died, too many innocent Israeli civilians have died. And it's always the governments doing the killing, the driving people from their homes, the bombing, the kidnappings; the atrocities.

War is poison, nationalism only serves those in power.

So much death in the name of patriotism and nationalism, and for what? Because a one rich man wants more land over another rich man's land, both of which are inhabited by neither just regular folk who die either way because the rich men in question don't care who lives there, just who owns it? Or perhaps they do, perhaps that's the whole problem; because they're so caught up over who's Palestinian or Israeli that they don't realise both are fucking dying because they want to kill so badly.

Just... who's this war even for? Two greedy and bloodthirsty people who aren't the ones dying and having their homes destroyed? Two leaders who are harming their own citizens in the name of nationalism? It's true, I don't understand the cultural significance of these places, who's ancestors are "rightfully" from where and whose ancestors have said what. I don't know and it's not my place to say. But I do know that nationalism, ownership of land and pride isn't worth the price that's being paid in blood. It's the civilians being killed I can't stand, and there's lists and lists of Palestinians who are dying and who've been killed and Israelis are dying and have been killed. And none of them, of either side, should have had to die.

It's just nothing but sad and senseless, and the rest of the world can only watch helpless as those in power squabble with not the slightest guilt of how their own citizens die from their greed and desire for each other's land. And for what? Scorched dirt filled with each other's blood? A land with no one left to occupy it because you're fighting each other by butchering anyone who lives on that land?

I don't know how to solve this conflict, but I can say with confidence that the citizens aren't to be killed for the sake of those in power who can't see past their own ambitions. I do think that both leaders are criminally corrupt to allow such bloodshed and brutality, to let citizens pay the price of their respective leader's desire for land. Land is land. When both countries are nothing but giant bloodstains, land won't matter because there won't be anyone to inhabit them. It's ridiculously idiot of these leaders to place their pride ahead of their people.

Again, perhaps I'm wrong, I don't know what others do and I'm just some young adult who lives far from this reality. I don't have the information to judge off of and all I have is the attempts to understand with what I have. But I do have the common sense to say that this bloodshed is wrong and senseless, and that the leaders must surely be corrupt to not have the slightest care for the people being killed, even in their own nation, while strangers look own and have more compassion for their own people.

It all makes me sad, angry and endlessly grieve for those who suffer for those in power who don't care for the suffering of those outside their pristine windows.

I talk a lot and reblog a lot about transmasc's "specific" issues (I mean, as I live them and know others who do too, it's not only cookie cuttered transmasc issues, ykwim), but rest assured that I really, truly, from the bottom of my heart, want us ALL to feel safe.

And I mean, ALL, each and every one of us. Yes it means trans men and trans women, transmascs, transfems, intersex people, enbies, detransitonners, retransitionners, desisters, people who don't use the label trans but are transitioning in their own ways by their own terms, genderqueers everywhere.

There's nothing that rubs me the wrong way quite as trans people who feel uncomfortable by other trans people's presentation, relationship to their gender, ways of transitioning etc. And it fucking pains me when I see it, and unfortunately it seems that in these trying times, some of y'all love to do it even more. Because you're scared. But we're all in the same boat.

Stay compationate. Keep bonding with queers of all ages, backgrounds, etc. We need it.

I read Elantris for the first time this year and because of all the discourse online I was preparing myself for the Worst Cosmere Book. So imagine my surprise when I absolutely loved it.

Yes, I loved Hrathen, one of Sanderson's best characters for sure. But what about Sarene??? She does suffer from a little of the 'not like other girls' syndrome, but otherwise she's such a great character! She is cunning, smart, strong and compationate. I loved the scene in the library where she's studying politics from the old books in Elantris. You can definitly see that she will become a great queen.

And Raoden. Wonderful, optimistic Raoden. I remember telling someone that I loved reading his chapters and they told me that Raoden was a Gary Sue. Which... sure, I can see that, and he definitely got away with some pretty horrible things (i.e. getting Shaor killed, lying to Sarene about his identity). But reading his parts made me feel so much hope! After the emotional turmoil that was reading Stormlight last year, reading about someone who's life was ruined trying to make the best out of his situation and while also helping other people in his position felt so good!

I agree that Elantris has its faults. But overall it was such a pleasant read. And I needed to read a book like this at the time. People need to be nicer to Elantris.

Dad-inar this, Father figure that. As much as we like to joke about this signing adoption papers for all the stormlight characters, and even actively doing so for Kaladin, Dalinar is a completely unfatherly person.

I'm not talking about the time when he was an alcoholic, by the way, or even the fact he soent so little time with his children because he was off comitting war crimes, to the point of not even remembering Renarin's name (though that does contribute to that).

Dalinar isn't at all compationate. He sees his sons having a hards time and doesn't do anything about it. I'm not saying he doean't love them or care for them - he does - but he watches from the sidelines as they struggle. Renarin with his epilepsy, feeling constantly not good enough or unworthy because he can't fight, and then being uncomfortable when he got his shardplate and shardblade, and just brushing it off. Even when he becomes a Radiant, and still feels out of place because of his corrupted Spren, Dalinar just kinda keeps avoiding him, even when Renarin has a vision he doesn't really want to go see him about it. Sure, we can say he doesn't trust Odium and believes the visions to be from him, but he doesn't even try to comfort or encourage Renarin, who is out there fighting alongside him in this war. The obly time he complements Renarin, btw, is in his own thpughts, when he heala Adolin in Oathbringer finale.

Samw with Adolin. He sees his son struggle with relashinships his entire life, frothing at the mouth at the idea of battles and duels, much like Dalinar was at his age, and what ultimately ruined him, and he doesn't try to explain this to Adolin. He doesn't offer him advice, sympephise with him, hear out his concerns. Even when he was a child, we see Dalinar really notica Adolin when he shares interest in millitary tactics or fighting, even though his inner monologue is affectionate, he slips his mind the moment the topic shifts from war. He even scoffs at Adolin was wearing a differently designed uniform, which he complements years later in RoW, or adressing his as Father instead of Commander.

He isn't fatherly rowards other characters as well. He shared his grief with Jasnah, when she reads him the Way of Kings, but he doesn't offer her condolences or support or even a shoulder to cry on, following Gavilar's funeral. He can see Kaladin is way over his head and still ignores it and doesn't inquire how to sort things out, if he can reliece some of the duties off of him, because he's the Stormblessed, and when Kaladin breaks, he dissmissed him immidiatly. No care, no offer to listen to prevent the issues in the future. Even when he sees Kal clinging to the side of the tower as Dalinar passes via a Higstorm vission, and Kaladin is litteraly dying before his eyes, he extorts him for information, and then thinks "well, he's got most of the situation under control".

Even with baby Gavinor, he practices swordfighting with him, but when the child is triggred by something, due to his horrible trauma and wants to go to bed to be alone with his thoughs, Dalinar looks at him in bed, clearly knowing the kid needs compation and support, and offeres him nothing. Just goes.

He isn't fatherly. He's a strong leader, and thinks like a millitary man, which makes sense, but he's very much not a father figure

Ok, warning, long and scrambled MK headcanon post incoming

So we all know how Meta Knight (who I'll just shorten as MK). He's this mysterious cool dude who's also the fandom's main blorbo. He might or might not be gay or possess nuclear bombs. He's a funny lil guy and he's also a psychopath. Peak Kirby character if you ask me

So, you know how he's canonically a pretty compationate individual, right ? What if, I amped that up to, like, eleven ?

He sees somebody or something suffering, and he instantly feels pity. Since he's much a reserved dude, MK doesn't really show it. He keeps all of this inside. But his main goal, wich I consider to be saving and helping the most people he can (the reason he wants to be so strong like it's shown in the games) is because of his compassion. The problem is, that it's kinda toxic for him.

I do think according to those headcanons of mine, MK would be very rough on himself.

He legit wiews himself as the only one who can save the world untill Kirby arrives and beats him up, and even after that wiew still lingers on him. He puts all of that responsability on himself. Even tho he knows not eveybody can be saved, whenever he fails, he blames himself. When that happens and does'nt meet his own expectations, MK goes to train and become stronger. Isolating himself despite the loneliness he'd feel. He feels like he is unworthy of such powers, like he does'nt really deserve to be happy when so much people are miserable, like the entire world needs him specifically to be stronger.

Hence why he'd take the title of "lone swordman" in Star Allies and Forgotten Land, especially after the events of Planet Robobot (where not only was he caught early, he also could'have hurt Kirby and many other people he cares about).

Also, what if he also had other characteristics that contradicted his asthetic, like him being more naive, inocent or oblivious than he might seem.Him seeming so cool, mysterious and cold would then be a way for him to hide those traits he deems could be exploited, endangering "the greater good". Sorta like he hides his own appearance

That also leads his trauma to fester more : he pretends everything is okay when something goes wrong and thinks he's weak. I imagine there's a lot of thing that could've traumatised him (him potentially believing his crew died during RoMK and then blaming himself for starting the war ; him being stuck in a dark mirror for an undetermined period of time ; him being mechanised and modified against his will ; etc...) and every time he would'have seemingly brushed it off like nothing happened despite feeling horrible inside. Fighting and training is a way to distract himself from that.

But when he's around people he trusts, he feels like he can show those "weaknesses". He knows them enough and feels genuenly confortable around his friends, especially King Dedede (who himself has a great deal of similar self worth issues). Since Dedede is more laid back and open, he can help MK with his trauma and high expectations

So basically MK is a self repressed dude with a lot of expectations who hides his sweet true self because of that. It causes him a lot of his trauma and general problems. Overall, poor guy needs therapy (I headcanon most Kirby characters to need some)

Anyways, my writting fuel is extinguished now. I bet all of this is such a chaotic mess of headcanons, somebody could get sick just by lookin at it

(Explore) Who's your favorite Vessel?

Hmm hard choice- I feel like I really can only see most of them in terms with their dynamic to the Voices. I'm sure if they were the ones in my head instead, I would definately spend more time exploring them, but they've always taken a backseat in my interests... But I think out of all of them, the Witch is the one that I enjoy the most. She's just such a fun character outside of her relationship with Oppy and out of all of them (at least outside of the Pristine Cut princesses), I see her as something more than just... a counterpart.

Ok... to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Shifty. I mean, I conpletely get where she's coming from and how limited her perseption of the world is, but I feel that someone who is made of the same experiences we are, just a different angle, could be a little more... compationate to our struggles? That being said, I do still enjoy her as a character and she has a plethora of amazing lines. Currently, I do favour "We are oceans reduced to shallow creeks", but then again who knows what else may catch my ear?

Despite having (at least what it seem like last time I checked) very similar actions and appearces, it would be HILARIOUS for them to interact because they both got exactly what the other one wanted and that pisses them off enough to resort to the exact same acts of extreme violence. Peak comedic moment if those two ever meet.

I actually just watched rtc 2 days ago, but it has a death grip on me. I love Ricky's song so much because it's the perfect amount of unusual. This is an idea I've had for a bit due to the stress of college. And I've decided to do this instead of sleeping 😴

It's basically after all the crazy stuff that happened donnie goes to college in queens and wants to be independent. He finds three roommates and someone who will lease to them for a pretty low price. Also bishop brought forth a alien liberation bill. That let's aliens immigrant here in exchange for allied support.

The first is Mike (he/him cat mutant). Mike is flamboyant and sassy, albeit compationate. He's dating another mutant, Daniel. Daniel isn't a great guy. Is studying psychology and hopes to be a psychologist. He has a mild allergy to peanuts 🥜

Next is Evelyn/ Eve ( she/her human). Eve is a pretty religious woman and always tries to help anyone she can and is really good at puzzles. She is also the DM during their dnd games. Studying to be a biologist. And is dating Abe.🪄

Best for last Abe (they/them fire ant). It isn't a matter of IF they'll be arrested, but WHEN. Eve can only hope it isn't on their wedding night. They're studying anatomy to become a mortician. While also being chaotic. 🐜

And donnie is the responsible one. Let's see how long that lasts. 🐢

Years have passed since the succesful birth of experiment 6052,he showed a natural tenderness for others, or maybe just maybe was the fact of growing up in a secured envirioment, he was never schoolarized at the lab, mostly because according to Doctor Louve, he needed to socialize outside, it was necesary, so, the leaders of the proyect and with help of the goverment , created birth documents for 6052, giving him the name of "Daniel Junior Dzhek Nickson", and they stated in the documents that Doctor Daniel Nickson, was his father, and legal tutor, at the age of five , they would start living together , Daniel was told to not get attached to the experiment, he didnt obeyed and soon enough , 6052 was matriculated in school.

So that way his schoolar life would start at 6 years old in the school "Elementary school the Jaguars", he saw many species, but it didnt took him long to realize the main population consisted in humans, he saw very few others specimens like; Mh'in's , D'mœ's , Zw'eho's, etc.

He didnt saw anyone like him, but he was always told that since Yautjas where more energetic, they where on different kinds of schools.

His kind nature, made him quite easier to make friends, Ma'hek ka"hu, was his first friend, this was a slender kid with fur and floppy looking ears, curly hair and crocked teeth, his little fangs made them look like a vampire.

And his second friend was Chloe, who in that time was a small chubby little girl with really short hair, with time she would let it grow, since Ma'hek said "your hair is really pretty, i wonder if it gets bigger".

You would think that because of his kind nature, 6052 was particurlarly shy and not very sociable, well youre quite wrong, he is the kind of guy with that charming personality that if he wants to, can be the king of the party.

Daniel, was thinking about that one saturday evening, he was at home in his office organizing some documents, leaving everything ready for 6052's monthly medical revision.

The door of the office was open, his now 1.70 cm 16 years old son was there.

His hair long and braided, dressed with a dark green sport hoddie of his team and some shorts.

He was carrying his sport bag.

-"Hey mum, im leaving to the practice, i promise i will call you when im on my way home, bye love you!"-

As 6052 left the house to go practice Daniel shouted "Love you too" back and "Don't forget your entry card!".

Daniel couldnt help but chuckle as his gaze landed on a photo of Daniel Junior (6052) with his friends after obtaining second place on the Selective of Volleyball but even so they got to the finale.

They where so tired that time but so proud and he was proud too.

Western High was a good place, well it was the only public school in town the other two stablishments where private.

Daniel tought of how time practically flew out of his hands, and now the little creature he used to hold in his arms its now a teen boy to heavy for him to give him a piggy ride.

He thought about himself ¿was he being a good father? Somethimes he wondered if he was doing enough for his son.

He never denied him his other origin, and in fact at times Daniel junior had holo-calls with the donor used to give him life, a yautja male of 350 kg of pure muscle almost 230 cm tall called Knife, it was an ancient yautja, with many scars around his body, leader and supervisor of chivas, but even so 6052 was more made for human life, thats what knife communicated to daniel one time, he said "the boy, its too compationate for a hunter".

Daniel at times thought about those words, he didnt knew if it was bad or good, and if it was bad ¿was his fault? He has been too sweet? He has given him too much?.

When he commented his preocupations to his colleague Emily lee, she said "you have raised a good boy a healthy boy, a respectful and fuctional member of society, i belive you've done well", he also thought about those words while still sitting on his desk, at his office at home, those words ...he wondered if they where true, or if she was just trying to reassure him.

His mind wandered thinking in the past, a past he always tries to pretend it dosent exist, a past he tries to hide in a dark corner of his brain like if it was just a bad dream.

And the fact that acronym was still in his mind didn't helped him.

Those Letters "A.R.P" wich stands for "Alien Relocation Program", were fresh in his mind, he wasn't the kind of person who hated easily, but that name, made his blood boil and frezze at the same time, out of fear and rage, he remembered watching on live news when he was young, the places where the just arrived aliens lived, a marginal place, dirty, full of crime, he didn't understood why they where living there, if they had so much better tecnology, in his young brain it made no sense why they where living there, and why did "A.R.P" sent them there, ¿did they do something wrong?, he didn't knew.

One time he remembered asking his father "dad ¿why are the aliens in there?"

His father only gave him another of those spechs of how the aliens do not belong here on earth, how they where a pest.

"They come here only to cause harm"

His father said.

But to his restless mind that did not answer his question, he wanted to know why, he wanted to understand why , when he walked with his parents to the center to buy things, there where stores that didn't allowed "no humans" inside, he wanted to know why.

But no mattered how much he asked his questions where always answered with the same vague response of "they will only cause harm".

Eventually he stopped asking, he was young, nine years old in a world recovering from a global pandemic, going through two different wars at the same time on Asia and the middle east, and adapting to the arrival of extraterrestial's.

But he still wondered if it was necessary to hate, one day, when daniel was still young, he was riding his bicicle, and ride past two police officers acting with exesive force towards a Mh'in's, the Mh'in was clearly confused and scared , he despertaly wanted to help, but he felt way too scared to face the two adults alone, and just kept his way.

That moment, lives on his memory, one of his biggest regret's, was not helping him, he regret's every night of that, because he knows that if he wasn't around and his son was being harmed he would like someone to help him, to tend a hand on him.

He suddenly came back to reality, looked at the clock, 6:30 pm, 6052 must have already finished his practice.

¿Did he called to tell him?

Daniel, checked his holo-pad, and there it was, daniel jr. Did called, 3 times.

Daniel felt terrible, he was so lost in his memories he lost track of time and ignored the calls of his son.

He was about to return the call, when the access beep of the main door rang, and his son ran through it, desperately calling for him.

-"mom?! Mom?! Are you here?!"-

-"i'm here what happend?!"-

Daniel said answering to his son desperated calls.

-" oh thank's heavens...its just, well you always pick my calls or return my calls inmediatly, so..i got scared..."

6052 said while he catched his breath in relief.

Daniel walked towards his son and hugged him.

-"i'm sorry"-

He said felling terrible for scaring his son like that.

Daniel jr returned the hug -"it's okay mom, im just happy you're fine"-

Daniel then to change the subject said -"i will order pizza for dinner, i don't feel like cooking today, go shower, and then you tell everything about today"-

He said with a smile.

Junior. Smiled back and noded vigurosly.

He took a shower and Daniel went to order the pizza.
