just finished watching control, the movie about ian curtis and joy division.

i am unwell. i am sobbing.

and something crazy i noticed that of course connects to stranger things

so at the end where it shows his wife finding him after he committed, it plays atmosphere by joy division.

that song plays in the beginning of season 1 episode 4 of stranger things, while everyone is coming to terms with Will’s ‘death,’ except Joyce and Mike.

on another note, that movie really killed me. if any of you that see this ever feel hopeless enough to even consider suicide, DO NOT DO IT. it’s not worth it and even if you think people won’t miss you, there will be people that do. your life is worth living. there are people who will help, reach out to family, friends, and if you can’t talk to them, there are hotlines you can reach and they will help you. suicide is not the answer. it never is.

i hardly ever post stuff like this, but i ended my cozy summer days with this masterpiece which is in my top 5 fav movies and has a very special place in my heart for over a decade now, i wish Sam Riley, the director and the cinematography had more recognition.

Idk if anyone else picked up on this, but Ash really reminded me of Jace. Janus may be a shell of his old self but Jace’s sassiness runs too deep.

With the Master having regenerated himself and taken the TARDIS, the Doctor, Martha and Jack Harkness manage to return to Earth. When they arrive, they see the new British Prime Minister, Harold Saxon, on television and Martha immediately recognizes his voice: it's the regenerated Master. He announces that he has been contacted by alien beings and that they will arrive in two days' time. Despite an attempt by the American President to take over the situation, the Master is very much in charge. The situation is particularly stressful for Martha in particular as the Master has taken her family as prisoners.

*When The Doctor and The Master are speaking to each other the phone, they really are talking to the other person. Instead of having the lines read to them on the set, David Tennant and John Simm called each other in order to make the scene more authentic.
