POKÉMON EGGS
I made some plush eggs as gifts for some of my friends this past Christmas and completely forgot to post about it, but here’s the post now!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I will go over my personal plush process below the cut, but I wonder if you can guess who these pokemon are before you reach the end of the post?
First, I bought some minky-like polyester fabric, along with some RIT dye-more synthetic dyes to get specific colors I might not have found at my local store. I cut egg shells and some rough blocks for the patterned bits and dyed a lot of it.
Tumblr media
Once things were dyed, I began to cut out the pattern parts: spots, stripes, rings, etc. I used basic paper for special stencils and free-handed the designs, traced them on the back or wrong side of the fabric with a pen. Then, very carefully, I cut just barely outside the lines with some sharp scissors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once this was done, I began to pin the parts to the shells where I wanted them and then top-stitched them onto the shells, about 1/8th-1/4th of an inch or as close as I comfortably felt like getting to the edge of each piece without risking my machine eating the whole thing (it tried to twice because I was rushing).
Tumblr media
I sewed the shells together, snipped up to the seams on each side of the shell up to but not on the seams, so as to keep the eggs round as possible, then flipped them inside out. Here they are all folded neat and nice together.
Tumblr media
Finally, I stuffed them until they were nice and firm with polyfil, and hand sewed them shut with my best attempts at an invisible stitch. Then I had a handful of pokemon eggs ready to be loved and cared for by some new trainers!
Tumblr media
When I wrapped them up, I made some tags with card stock and ribbon and wrote some dex entries and care tips for them!
Tumblr media
When the actual time came, they were all so thrilled, and that in turn made my heart soar. I have made many crafts but this project really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I had quite a lot of fun making them. I hope that this project inspires you to go and make your own pokemon inspired crafts!
If you made it this far bc you’re interested in these, I have made some other pokemon egg plushies before, a Basic 2km GO styled egg, a Cleffa egg and Pichu and Skorupi eggs.
And if you were stumped by any of the pokemon eggs, from left to right starting from the top row in picture one, they are Eevee, Alolan Vulpix, Gothita, Corphish, Pumpkaboo, Paldean Wooper and Caterpie. If you managed to guess them all correctly then congrats! The only prize for that is satisfaction on your knowledge of pokemon :)
I do plan on making some more in the future, namely another Alolan Vulpix and Eevee egg for me, because those two were my favorites of the batch, but also a Happiny and a Togepi egg like from the anime. What were your favorite eggs that I made and what would you like to see in the future? Lemme know in the comments!

Ideas for my own Pokemon x Twisted Wonderland fanfic Part 2
Wild Pokemon that Appear in Twisted Wonderland Part 1
I know that many TWST x Pokemon fanfics are having plagiarism issues, so I plan to do some canon divergences and I am doing my best to avoid my fanfic from being too similar to the current fanfics out there. All the pokemon listed were carefully chosen for the story and at the time of writing this (to my knowledge), were not used in other works and any similarities are purely coincidental and not intended to plagiarize.
Rosebud: A baby Bulbasaur that hatched from an egg that was found in the Heartsyble flamingo pen the morning after Alexia showed up. Since it obviously wasn’t a flamingo egg and no one at the time knew about Pokemon, Riddle decided that the dorm would take care of it until it hatched and then decide what to do once they found out what creature it was.  Duce was more than happy about this, Ace considered it an annoying extra chore, Cater thought the egg’s pattern and the mystery of what could be in it would give him good clicks, and Trey noticed that the egg brought out Riddles softer side and convinces him to keep it. So when Rosebud hatched, he becomes the dorm's baby.
Nuka: a Trubbish that was found by Ruggie’s younger siblings and some street kids. (I will give a better description in another page)
Cashmere: A Lillipup that was found by Crewel and mistaken for a stray dog ( I will give a better description in another page)
Tick: A wild Moralull that appeared in the Savannaclaw dorm during the Magic Shift Arc and was attacking Savannaclaw students. (I will give a better description in another page)
Ebi and Kani: a Corphish and a Krabby that became partners with Jade and Floyd
Omnomyte: I have not decided a name yet. A shy Omnomyte that became partners with Azul due to their cephalopod nature and Azul’s memories of hiding in his octopus pot like how Omnomyte hides in it's shell.
Goliath: A wild shiny Charizard that appeared in the Valley of Thorns during Winter break and nearly froze to death until it was saved by Malleus. His name is a reference to the main character of Gargoyles. Everyone (including Malleus) mistook him for a dragon and neither Alexia or Goliath have the heart to correct him, so it’s a bit of a running joke.
Bagon (I haven't decided a name yet): A wild baby Bagon that hatched from an egg that was found by Malleus and Goliath. Due to his nature and being a baby, Bagon is prone to headbutting people and jumping off things making him a bit of a troublemaker. This caused Malleus to be a bit overprotective of the baby dragon until Alexia explained that Bagon is trying to practice flying and Lilia told them that Malleus used to do the same as a baby. This led to Malleus and Alexia to form a flying team with him and Goliath carrying Bagon and Alexia riding her Aerodactyl.
Hypno: this is a bit of a mini-villain Pokemon that began causing trouble by hypnotizing students to sleep and eating their dreams. While it did have a battle between Jade and Jamil, Alexia beat it in the end, but not through a Pokemon battle. Instead, she punched it until it was unconscious and chucked it into another portal.
Drampa: A wild Drampa that got sucked into an Ultra Wormhole. He met with Elliot the Dragon (from Pete’s Dragon) and was directed to the forest near NRC and was later found by Alexia and Cheka (who was visiting) who were exploring the forest (which caused the students to freak out).
Stantler: A family of Stantler (a mom, dad, and 3 babies)  got stranded in Twisted Wonderland in the forest of NRC. Due to being in a foreign land and worried about their babies, the Stantler parent began using their Antler Hallucinations on any student they saw which led to many students getting lost and a rumor about fae traps in the woods. This especially became a problem during Beanfest, with so many students hallucinating and wandering around, no one could properly focus on the game and it eventually became a hunt for the rumored Fae setting the traps which led to Diasomnia being targeted. Eventually, Alexia and the Diasomnia dorm found out it was a family of Stantler and a truce was made.

Savage, violent pokemon, red and blue Basculin are always fighting each other over territory. When a school of Basculin appears in a lake, everything else disappears, except for Corphish and Crawdaunt. That's how violent Basculin are.
Blue Stripe:
Even Basculin, which devours everything it can with its huge jaws, is nothing more than food to organisms stronger than itself. Some people call it “the thug of the lake.” Whether the differences in color are meaningful is not yet known.

Every time my brother comes to visit, he mocks me for choosing Spiky out of his clutch of eggs. (He's a Pokemon Breeder, mostly for endangered species in Hoenn.) Anyways, when I first set out from home, he let me have a pick from his newest hatched batch of Cacnea. He came to visit this past Halloween, so we could dress up our Pokemon together.
Apparently, it was a silly decision of mine to choose my boy instead of the bright orange one of the group. Which he kept.
Here, have a drawing of Spiky with his much more successful sister, apparently, Gingko.
Tumblr media
Ignore how garbage my walls are I don't have a lot of interesting things. And Spiky has a bad habit of stealing my trim and dragging his stupid little Spiky arms against the walls.
don't think I forgot to show you what the costumes were
Spiky is a Corphish, and Gingko is a Maractus.

◓ PokéArcana - Julian’s Team ◓
Tumblr media
✦•✦•✦ ❦ Masterpost ❦ ✦•✦•✦
Tumblr media
❧ First up, the lovable, anxious Malak!
❧ I picked a murkrow, the best choice for Malak. Malak is a small, rather unassuming raven, which in a way helps him assist Julian / keep the guards away. Similarly, in a Pokémon world, nobody would raise an eyebrow at a perched murkrow above a tavern.
Tumblr media
❧ Naturally I have to pick spritzee, a plague doctor themed Pokémon.
❧ Just to clear the air real quick, I know a lot of people dislike spritzee and it’s evolution aromatisse, and to that I say…
❧ You are objectively wrong. Spritzee and aromatisse are completely adorable. Get off my blog.
❧ Anyway, spritzee is a plague mask themed Pokémon that eventually evolves into a can-can dancer. I just know Julian would adore her.
❧ Additionally, spritzee was designed as a counterpart to swirlix, a sweet baking-themed Pokémon. I thought it would be cute if Julian had a spritzee, and Portia had it’s counterpart swirlix!
Tumblr media
❧ Corphish is a lobster.
❧ Julian likes lobster.
Tumblr media
❧ Alright, this one is kind of a strange choice, and maybe I’ve overthought this, but hear me out!
❧ First of all, most obviously, wobuffet is… the punching bag Pokémon. He fights by taking hit after hit. And if the coin scene in the red market is indicative of Julian’s typical fighting strategy, well… like Pokémon like trainer.!
❧ But the other reason is perhaps more complex, and maybe only makes sense to me, but I wanted to give Julian a wobuffet because in the Hoenn games, there’s a hot spring, just like Julian’s home of Nevivon. At these hot springs, you can receive an egg which will hatch into Wynaut.
❧ I can easily see Julian getting this Pokémon because he rescued a lost egg near the hot springs.
Tumblr media
❧ I especially wanted to give Julian a seal pokemon, as a nod to his backstory.
❧ And primarina fits him well, being a seal based on opera soloists. The heartsong tale, anyone?
Tumblr media
❧ Lastly, to represent the hanged man, we have corviknight!
❧ If I haven’t mentioned already, their patron Pokémon would be their strongest, so for example this would be a gigantimax corviknight!

Horsea-line Variant(Western Red Pipefish) a horsea-line variant under the broader umbrella of “Pipefish Variants” which are generally characterized for their elongated unfurled (Ekans like) body ,varied configurations of fins and dermal rib armor. Generally Pipfish Variants possess sturdier bodies compared to their standard counterparts and when in possession of a tail fin are considerably faster swimmers.
The Western Red Pipefish variant horsea-line is recognizable by its deep red coloration ,orange undulating abdominal and spinal fins, and it sizable dark red tail fin. A fresh to Brackish water pokemon Generally preferring Rivers and estuary’s ,like all members of the Horsea species the Western Red Pipefish variant is predatory. They are ambush predators ,generally as horsea they feed mostly on larva fish and crustacean Pokémon like Magikarp fry and young Corphish. Western Red’s as they age and evolve will general begin feeding on larger Fish and crustacean Pokémon. Out of water they are known to travel similar to Ekans and Seviper by undulating their body against the ground but are known to fly short distances , by rapidly undulating there abdominal and spinal fins in unison to propel themselves.
Well this variant maintains the same typeing as it Standard counterpart through their evolutions they have been observed and recorded to learn A variety of physical moves their standard Counterpart is unable too. Having adapted to take advantage of their stronger tails, contortionist like body and dermal armor.
As a member of the water 1 and the dragon egg groups they have been observed able to engage in a variety of reproductive practices. while the horsea-line is know for their Mutual “courting” behaviors with each other and the species male pregnancy and live birth , both sexes have been recorded to participate in other forms of reproduction outside their species. Both sexes Have been noted to participate in spawn breed , females have been known to lay eggs , and the males have been known to impregnate others without gestating the offspring themselves.

Notes on my Randomized Platinum Quarantinelocke
Tumblr media
A few weeks back, I decided to do a new type of Nuzlocke called a Quarantinelocke based around the Covid-19 Pandemic and take notes so I could see how it went. For recap, the rules were:
1: Social Distancing - Only three pokemon may be in your party at once. If a fouth enters your party, it may not be used, and must be deposited as soon as possible.
2: Nonessential Activities - You are only allowed to talk with essential NPCs (NPCs talking with is required, healers, and shopkeepers).
3: Medicinal Shortages - You may not use items that heal status ailments.
4: Infection - If one of your Pokemon dies, the other two Pokemon in your party are considered infected and must be quarantined. They can not be deposited in the box, box Pokemon can not be added to the team, and wild Pokemon are automatically sent to the box. This infection can be cured by beating a major boss (Rival, Gym Leader, Elite Four Member, Legendary, or Evil Team Admin).
So, how did it go? Badly. Really badly. I accidentally made one of the most difficult challenge runs I’ve ever done. Let’s start at the beginning of my Pokemon Platinum QuarantineLocke run…
I started out in a randomized version of Pokemon Platinum and was given a choice between Dratini, Todadile, and Chimchar. I chose Dratini and named him Argo. Unfortunately, Dratini starts out with Wrap and Thunderwave. The first few routes were slow; I could win battles, but it took forever. After beating my rival I caught Bobo the Spinarak, Crash Bandi the Bidoof, and my early game godsend: Dumbelle the Makuhita. Makuhita’s access to powerful physical moves like Arm Thrust, Fake Out, and Vital Throw allowed me to easily sweep my way to Roark. Along the way I caught Enzo the Ekanz, Fran the Nincada, Galvan the Mareep, Horrid the Stunky, Ignis the Chimchar, and Janice the Swinub.
Two things I learned quickly on this run: there are a lot of useful items unavailable because of rule 2, including the Quick Claw; and it is a godsend that they removed poison killing you out of battle in this Gen, because I got poisoned on Route 201 and would have lost the run before getting the Pokedex.
I went into Roark with Makuhitta at level 16, Dratini at level 14, and Chimchar at level 5, thinking I would have an easy time. Makuhitta killed Roark’s Geodude with ease, but died to a critical Headbutt from his Cranidos. Dratini barely managed to beat Cranidos with Wrap and Thunder Wave, giving him enough exp to grow to Level 15 and learn Twister. Through gratuitous use of Potions and Twister, Dratini took Onyx out. This was an insanely intense battle and probably the best part of the run.
After beating Roark I replaced Makuhitta with Mareep and grinded the whole team up, evolving Mareep into Flaaffy, evolving Chimchar into Monferno, and teaching Dragon Rage to Dratini. Dragon Rage made Dratini go from near useless to an unstoppable killing machine.
After catching and boxing Kold the Snorunt, I stormed Valley Windworks and took on Mars. Her Purugly gave me some trouble, but I was able to take it out with a few Mach Punches from Monferno. I caught Leonardo the Squirtle and Moof the Drifbloom as I headed into Eterna Forest, where some crazy lady ran up to me and stuck to me like glue, in spite of pandemic guidelines. She actually said that “There is safety in numbers”. Idiot.
Upon arriving in Eternia City, I received devastating news: you have to talk to Dawn’s father to get the EXP Share. Meaning I would have to switch-train for the rest of the run, something far slower and far more dangerous than using the EXP Share. Damnit.
I caught Nip the Corphish on Route 211 and accidentally killed an Electrike in Mt Cornet before Flame Wheeling all of Gardenia’s Pokemon to death. Galactic Admin Jupiter was a hard fought battle, pushing my team to its limit, but I managed to win through a combination of Thunderwave, Potions, and Dragon Rage. I caught Nordbert the Graveler, Ohm the Shix, Poach the Eggsecute, and Rosa the Bellsprout on my way to Fantina. I also got a VS Seeker, which I decided I can use because reasons.
Tragedy struck while grinding for Fantina when a Machop with Revenge killed Monferno, forcing me to take on Fantina with only Dratini and Faaffy before being able to add in a new team member. Worse, a Haunter took out Dratini as I was making my way through the gym. I grinded up Flaaffy, delaying evolution until it learned Discharge, and Proton Packed Fantina’s French ass.
I added Eggsecute and Drifbloom into the team and easily beat Barry, using Ampharos for everything but Roselia, which Eggsecute took out with Confusion. I hatched Cynthia’s egg into Quizno the Scissor, caught Silky the Silcoon, Terrance the Carvanah, Uggghhh the Gloom, and Volt the Voltorb. I also searched Solaceon Ruins for the Leaf Stone I thought was there, but apparently there’re only Fire, Water, and Thunder Stones.
I almost killed Eggsecute in a double battle against a Ponyta and Rapidash by using Discharge, caught Whistle the Jigglypuff, Xerxes the Bonsly, and Yella the Loundred before arriving in Veilstone. I discovered that the Game Corner is off limits and easily beat Maylene with Eggsecute and Ampharos. I replaced Drifloon with Loudred, who immeadietly died when I forgot using Uproar prevents you from switching out. I caught Zoro the Murkrow, Amelie the Wobufet, Boxer the Wooper, and beat Barry again. I added evolved Wooper to the team and evolved him. I also found a hidden leaf stone in the Great Marsh and finally got an Exeggutor.
Before fighting Wake, I decided to grind. I caught Carumba the Lombre and Diamond the Eevee. Unfortunately, I ran into a wild Wobufet who killed Execcutor. To add salt to the wound, a trainer with a Leafeon killed Boxer during a double battle. I strolled into wake with a single Pokemon, a level 41 Ampharos. The battle, especially against his Quagsire, was tough, but I pulled through by using Hyper Beam and potions.
I added Graveler and Snowrunt to the team and evolved Snowrunt into Froslass. Both of them died before I made it to Celestic Town. I beat Cyrus, caught Ember the Torchic, Fancy/Fang the Clamperl, Gaaaryyy the Slakoff, Horny the Lickitung, Ird the Natu, and Juice the Kabuto. I grinded Torchic and Squirtle up until they fully evolved and beat Barry in Canalave. I Caught Klynt the Shuckle and Lard the Hariyama. Blaziken took out Byron’s Bastiodon and Magneton while Blastoise handled his Steelix. I beat Saturn easily, but Mars’s lake battle was guarded by a double battle against two Murkrow, one of which killed Blaziken with a critical Wing Attack. I took down Mars despite her Hypnosis and Slash spam and promoted Hariyama to the team.
I grinded Hariyama up at Iron Island and went north, catching Mo the Tentacool, Naivue the Smeargle, Olympia the Vibrava, and Phish the Goldeen. Candice went down easy and I went to Veilstone HQ, where Aaron’s egg hatched into Quentin the Phanpy. A grunt’s Golbat with Mean Look, Confuse Ray, and Poison Fang took out Blastoise; after beating Cyrus and Saturn I added Vibrava to the team. She died while grinding. This is why the EXP Share is important.
I climbed Spear Pillar, took out Cyrus, and took on the beast of the Distortion World. What monster did the randomizer replace Ghiratina with? Giratina, because the randomizer can’t change Giratina for some reason. I named it Randumb and boxed it.
I caught Seed the Jumpluff, Seed the Nidorino, and Upside Don the Hitmontop. I added Nidorino to the team and started grinding it up, hoping to use a Nidoking to take out Volkner. It died while I was grinding, so I taught Hariyama Earthquake and took out Volkner that way. I added Carbanah to the team, caught Verylame the Parasect, killed a Delibird for the sin of existing, and went into Victory Road.
Hariyama was killed by a trainer’s Tortera in Victory Road, but I made it through without losing anyone else. I barely beat Barry’s Snorlax, added Hitmontop to the team, and began grinding for the Elite Four. Carvanah was killed by an Afterburn Drilblim, forcing me to take on the Elite Four with only Ampharos and Hitmontop.
I said fuck it, bought as many healing and battle items as I could carry, used all my rare candied on Ampharos, and ran on in. The victory of this run rested solely on whether or not a level 68 Ampharos with Thunderbolt, Signal Beam, Power Gem, and Double Team was enough to beat five tough trainers in a row.
Ampharos managed to take out Aaron and even Bertha, but was burned and critted by Flint’s Houndoom. Hitmontop fell shortly after. Game Over.
So, thoughts on the run? Not my cup of tea. It’s hard, but it isn’t fun hard. Not talking to people, no changing team until you beat a boss, and only three Pokemon are good rules on their own, but putting them together is just frustrating. I’m gonna leave this run in the trash for now.

Individuals that have been set free by Trainers who could no longer raise them have become common, and they can now be found in Alola. It can adapt very well to its environment. Feebas and Corphish are about the only pokemon to live in stagnant ditches.

Its temperament is rough and it loves to fight, but as soon as its pincers break off, it turns cowardly. It stays timid until they grow back. Its pincers often fall off. Unlike with Crabrawler or Clauncher, the meat in its claws is utterly nasty and stinking.
