Bolts upright from my bed
In an AU where Pharma lives the Adaptus thing and comes back on the Lost Light, wouldn't he find out that the crew had to deal with being cornered and nearly killed by the DJD and a bunch of other Decepticons?
And then Pharma could get to be like "oh I see :) you were under threat by the DJD :))) why didn't you just run? Oh you couldn't and had no means of escape? Funny :)))) didn't you call for help? Oh you did right??? And did anyone come???? :)))))) did anyone come in time to save you from the DJD????? DID THEY????? DID YOU JUST CALL FOR HELP AND RUN AWAY AND THE DJD JUST LET YOU GO????? :))))))))))) OH THE DJD BLOCKED COMMUNICATIONS AND HAD YOU SURROUNDED????? OH HOW TRAGIC I GUESS YOU COULDN'T ESCAPE AFTER ALL AND A LOT OF YOUR FRIENDS DIED :)))))))))))))))) AND THE ONLY REASON YOU WON WAS BECAUSE YOU HAD A LOT OF SUPERPOWERFUL FIGHTERS ON YOUR SIDE???? WOW IMAGINE WHAT MIGHT'VE HAPPENED IF YOU HAD NO FRIENDS AND BARELY ANY MILITARY SUPPORT AND THE DJD CAME HUH??? WOW WHAT A RELIEF THAT DIDNT HAPPEN"
-
In other words, I'm pretty much convinced that the reason Pharma is remembered as "the evil cowardly doctor that murdered innocents to save his own skin" instead of "the Autobot that got mindbroken by Tarn into thinking that making a plague and killing everyone was his only way to escape" is because he got introduced before the DJD were established as a pants-shittingly evil and sadistic group of freaks, and unlike Rodimus' crew he didn't have the luxury of being a main character whose thoughts and experiences were shown on screen. Pretty much his reputation as "crazy token evil Autobot" was sealed from MTMTE #5 and by the time MTMTE #50-something brought Dying of the Light, Pharma was a footnote in the story and never got to have this new information about the terror of the DJD factored into his own character.

love fics that understand that during sex harrow WILL do a villain monologue about all the evil things she's going to do to Gideon and Gideon WILL be unreasonably turned on by it because the hottest thing in the world to her is being the full focus of harrow's schemes. and harrow wants to do a full study on every one of gideon's reactions so she can figure her out and maybe also crawl inside her and take a look. what's she hoping to find? she doesn't know she just wants to poke everything and see what happens. so it works out

I am so glad you made that medic post because if there's one thing that I'm absolutely certain of if Knock Out showed up in Animated it's that he would clash with Ratchet like there's no tomorrow (and that he would flirt with Optimus but that's beside the point). Medics will be medics and I would LOVE a spinoff about them and their antics.
YES especially with how jarring the size difference between Autobots and Decepticons is. Like I can imagine Ratchet being horrified at the sight of pools of energon all over the floor, the walls, the hallway, yet his Decepticon patient is still conscious and coherent since they only lost like 10% of their total volume. Meanwhile Knock Out is freaking out because his Autobot patient only lost a few units of energon and they're going into shock and crashing.
Ratchet and Knock Out butting heads about everything from surgical techniques to IV placement to medication dosages to proper sterilization techniques. Red Alert just watching from the sidelines, waiting for them to stop arguing and come help her put someone's detached limb back on.
Another huge issue would be the difference in how much medication has to be administered. After all, Strika or Lugnut need a ton of a medication for it to have an effect whereas someone Bumblebee's size only needs a little. Alongside this, in the metric system, drugs can be administered either in micro or milli units, like micrograms or milligrams. One milligram is equivalent to 1000 micrograms and, although rare, medical professionals can fuck up and administer the wrong amount, either too much or too little. So like another issue would be them trying to be absolutely clear on the exact dosage for a patient and then someone realizing they've given an Autobot way too much and now have to call a code blue when it hits them all at once. (Not really an issue for Decepticons since you can always give more of a medication but you can't pull extra medication out of a patient.)
There's just so much to be explored there and I think it would be a fun warm up for me to write the medics yelling at each other and also maybe throwing medical equipment when they get really mad!

Mad scientists, here is your reminder that RF discharges from Tesla coils are not harmless. Be sure to take great precautions when using your Tesla coils as the RF currents can still electrocute you, and have even been said to 'cook' your insides. Unless, of course, you want your insides to be cooked. In which case, live your truth.

Finally up to date with Glass Scientists. Weeping openly, I love this story, can’t wait for the next update.
SPOILER WARNING for chapter 7 (Hall of Memories) and beyond.
THIS MOMENT!! This is currently living in my head rent free.
There are so many ways that you can read this.
Jekyll can’t show Frankenstein the pure evil because that would reveal that he is Hyde.
Jekyll can’t show Frankenstein the pure evil because he hasn’t physically separated his ‘evil’, like put it in a liquid to show off or something.
My favourite interpretation: Jekyll can’t show Frankenstein the pure evil because Hyde isn’t pure evil and Jekyll’s aware that he failed.
Given what happens in later chapters, the third interpretation checks out.
Buuuuut, there’s more layers here!
Frankenstein’s reaction to Jekyll’s silence, the way the lighting puts her in a green shade - Hyde’s colours. The way she looks like she’s just figured something out. The surface level conclusion she’s made is that, yes, Jekyll failed his experiment. Pure good and pure evil cannot be divided because, y’know, shades of grey, pure good and pure evil don’t exist. Therefore, of course, Jekyll isn’t a ‘great scientist’, as she says to mock him, because his thesis failed.
But, on a deeper level. I think Frankenstein has clocked that the man she’s staring at thinks he is the ‘good’ one. The pure good to Hyde’s pure evil. But that can’t be true, not with the harsh manner Jekyll has been treating her with at times, his outbursts at the lodgers and his lack of listening and patience with them.
Frankenstein is chuckling because she knows that Jekyll’s experiment failed and the proof of that is Jekyll’s lack of ‘good’. He is living, breathing proof of his own failed attempt at being the mad scientist he always aspired to be. And from the look on Jekyll’s face, his lack of a reaction... I think he knows that, too.
God, can you imagine how soul crushing that is for Jekyll?
