Miraculous Attorney!AU

This AU/crossover is an idea I've had in mind for a while now. I'm not sure if I'm going to expand on the story as a fanfic or something, but I might draw some more ideas for it!

Marinette's design is based on Phoenix's blue suit and Athena's skirt, as well as her original design - pink polka dots and flowers. I made her ponytails a bit more spiky as a nod to Phoenix's hairstyle. In my AU, she and Adrien are childhood friends that haven't seen each other in years. However, I'm not really keen on implying a ship in this AU, mostly just Marinette's genuine friendship changing Adrien's mind about what it means to be a prosecutor.

Some of Socqueline's original outfit is included in this design, like her glasses, shirt, and ponytails. I wanted to keep Mia's scarf and magatama since it's a key part of her design. Their personalities are quite similar, which is cool and fits this AU perfectly!

Alya's design is based almost completely on Maya's yukata and hairstyle, with some slight differences like her dark purple sash and orange plaid jacket. Though Alya might be a bit less energetic than Maya, their personalities are still similar, like how they're both fans of superheroes. As for her relationship with Socqueline, I don't think they would be sisters, but perhaps friends from the same village.

Adrien's outfit is almost completely identical to Edgeworth's, excepting the faint green stripes on his waistcoat. There's a small butterfly design on his suit jacket, alluding to Gabriel's influence. Speaking of Gabriel, I'm still not quite sure if I should make them biological father and son. I think Gabriel adopting Adrien and later mentoring him makes a bit more sense in this AU? I know Adrien as Edgeworth kind of seems far-fetched, but it'll make sense in my AU. (I hope....?)

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS EPISODE OF FRIDAY NIGHT PUNCHGROUND

L LAWLIET GETS JUMPED

Previously, tensions are high after Team Ace Attorney defeated Team Danganronpa in a grudge tag team match. Both sides blame each other for the rise of “Beautiful Despair”, a heel stable consisting of Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa), Dahlia Hawthorne and Larry Butz (Ace Attorney). With both factions refusing to speak to each other, Athena Cykes (Ace Attorney) went off on her own to recruit a 3rd-party for help.

Athena ends up hiring L Lawliet (Death Note) to figure out why Dahlia and Junko joined forces. But just as L agreed to the case, he’s suddenly attacked at home. It turns out, Beautiful Despair had been tracking Athena’s movements the whole time.

The fight is brutal, resulting in the destruction of L’s office and ending with him being thrown through a window (kayfabe: since this is wrestling, it was made of sugar glass).

now keep walking with me… it doesn’t even have to be a chapter like how tomb raider was ( although it would be pretty banger seeing what kind of perks nathan would have ) , it can just be a collection similar to what they’re doing with the witcher with a legendary skin of geralt while the others are survivors cosplaying as other characters.

anyways here is what i’m thinking!

Nathan Drake would either be his own survivor or a legendary skin for … I wanna say Gabriel Soma? Or even Adam Francis — specifically because their base perks could be something I see Nathan resonating with. But again, not sure. Lemme know what YOU think!

if we’re going with uncharted being its own chapter and not a collection, i think him having some cosmetics of the past games such as his drake’s deception fit and many others… and for legendary skins (for my non dbd players who see this under uncharted, a legendary skin is basically a cosmetic you can wear in the game where you are a WHOLE OTHER person with different animations and voice lines. for example, jill valentine is a dlc survivor with a claire redfield legendary skin in which you can be playing as claire with her own survivor icon, animations, etc… hope this makes sense!) , i am picturing Samuel Drake, Sully, Rafe Adler, maybe even Elena Fisher if they did with Cheryl and James.

now here’s me saying what i think what other uncharted characters would be which cosmetics for what survivor

Things I would sell my soul for

A PC that could handle playing Black Myth Wukong on Max graphics and not due horribly any time I get into a fight or am in a relatively scenic place.

A fic with Ineffable Husbands (ie Aziraphale / Crowley from Good Omens) that are raising their magical surprise bio daughter who is the most hellish mix in the best way of their traits, who grew up with Adam and they didn't fucking find out about her till she is talking shit to Gabriel and Beelzebub on supposed to be doomsday. Like I want this little child to be the one that the average demon/angel thinks is the actual antichrist, that she starts up legends about Crowley being the king of hell, and her having taken down (insert appropriate very powerful very scary demon) by just existing and feeding bread to the ducks. And meanwhile she's just like "Hi dad. Hi mam. When you gonna get together again? Been wanting a baby sibling." (I'll leave you to decide which is the dad and which is the mom.) BUT THIS WOULD SPECIFICALLY BE A LONG FIC NOT A ONE SHOT!!

A fic where Izuku commits die, and some Eldritch abomination goes "I like you, your fun" and chucks him back into the living with spooky powers, and Izuku just goes, "alright fine if I'ma be a cryptid then I'ma do my shadow lurking right." And basically just creates an entire new "side" of the heros vs villains bit and pulls in people from both sides, not including all might, but including tomura and toga because league of villains redemption arcs are fun just All for One is a major creep, but also make him Izuku's dad. No mercy Izuku, if anyone fucks with his little gang he will murder. And if murder is too obvious he will raze them to the dirt and make them wish for death (exhibit a, Shoto and Dabi and their fucking FATHER KILL THIS MAN PLEASE LIKE THIS MAN SHOULD NOT BE REDEEMED!!)

An ac odyssey/ Percy Jackson crossover. Id take any applications of this but the one that stands out is a female Percy story with Percy being Kassandra reborn, and instead of the Isu bullshit it's "Kassandra is a legacy child, Leonidas is son of Zeus and Pythagoras is son of Neptune, so she is granddaughter of Poseidon and great grand daughter of Zeus" and Percy gets the fucking bird and Zeus and Poseidon and throwing shade and Poseidon is all, with a completely straight face "Why brother! I had no idea you cared so much for my daughter so as to bless her!" And Zeus is just like "yes of course I care for my.... /Is audibly pained at this point/ my darling niece." And Nico and Hades are in the background shuffling mythomagic cards and watching the show, knowing fully well (at least on Hades part) exactly what happened and having no intent to tell.

A stray gods the roleplaying musical fic in which Grace is magical/a witch from the get go, and is trying to not show that off until the trial is finished, but also is just... Blatantly weird, and is just acting So Definitely Normal™

Lego monkey kid fic with a waaaaaay smarter than he lets on MK that completely knows he is a celestial monkey or whatever the fuck and Mei is way more draconic and then and Red Son go on journey to the West v2.0 this time with heaven mad at them (so low-key season 5 with parts of season 3) and parents (tang, pigsey, Wukong, Macaque [this would be a shadowpeach fic], PIF, DBK, and Mei's parents who deserve to be borderline assassin/ninja levels of competency and coolness) don't find out until after they kids dip and they start chasing after them but "oh no somehow we can barely even find the trail this is taking so long" heavy sarcasm, it's being influenced by someone or other and also someone put Guanyin in a goddam fic.

Brand new animal fic in which instead of just a tanuki, a kitsune, and a magic giant wolf we have a tanuki, a kitsune, a magic giant wolf AND A BAKENEKO WHO IS PRETENDING TO BE GUMAN AND DOING VERY WELL WITH IT ACTUALLY, THANKS ITS THE TRAUMA!

Black Myth Wukong fic where Sun Wukong's Wife (OC obviously), dies a bit after the whole takedown of Sun Wukong and like... Halfway dies but also stays and is a yaoguai, but oh look she had a baby before she went batshit insane because her husband died and the remaining monkey people fuck waaaaaay away from flower fruit mountain and the baby (who is the destined one) kinda... Hybernates for a bit? He cocoons in stone and is kinda waiting around, frozen as a baby and not aging and eventually this other OC, totally and completely unrelated to the first /sarcasm/ is born and yes it is just a coincidence the stone monkey cocoon pops and the kid is growing again, and yes this is just a "their souls find each other again" fic. Or it's symmetry and baby destined one was waiting for his queen to be born idk. Just the parallels. Eventually DO goes and beats up the Broken Shell and while he's at that time is passing weird back on the mortal... Ish plane and the DO's queen is kinda left alone for a year ish and "oh what is this spooky cave with totally not strange noises, better go look, it'll be fine." And the DO get Wukong's memories and DO's queen fights the remnants/ broken shell of Wukong's queen and gets her memories and then...idk have fun person I'm selling my soul to, make the lovebirds go wage a heavenly war and win this time or some shit idk.

He also has an abnormally long lifespan and decreased aging. He is a willing recruit to HYDRA or whatever compatible evil power hungry group exists in any particular fandom; Vought, Brotherhood of Mutants, the Sith, the Empire, whatever organization he feels will gain him the most power, protection and prestige. He is a sadomasochist, he craves power above anything else and will do whatever he wants, whatever he thinks he has to, to get it. He is not a nice guy. He is not redeemable. Any emotions he has that might be construed as love or affection by outside parties are only mimicries of those - he may even think that he loves someone (he's pansexual) but it's only in a way that serves him, only if they please him, only if whatever they're doing and how they live in some way contributes to helping him. He is controlling and obsessive. He is calculating and vindictive. DOMINION original character. Saved from the pack of eight balls that killed his parents, as a child, a few short months after the end of the world, by the Archangel Gabriel. Given into the care of a higher Angel who was loyal to Gabriel inside the sanctuary city of Vega to be kept safe. After the massacre of High Angels and Michael’s attack on the guards & senator of Vega, he evacuated from the city to travel to find Gabriel to pledge his service and to try and find a way to bring hope back to the Angel who was once the most staunch defender of humanity.

do you respond to comments, why or why not?

yeah! I like it when authors respond to my comments, so I try to at least say “thanks!” If someone leaves a more detailed comment, it’s fun being able to respond to the things they say and talk about any sort of ‘behind the scenes’ writing things

what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I’m honestly not sure? I think even my angstiest fics have at least somewhat hopeful endings. There’s probably 5 or so I could choose from, but most of them were written a long time ago, I’m going to say Sing Tomorrow’s Song because even though the ending isn’t too angsty compared to the rest of the fic, it is about Grantaire being seduced by the personification of Death as a semi-metaphor for him dealing with depression, so it’s not exactly cheery

do you write crossovers? if so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

Yes! I love crossovers, though I don’t write them as much as I read them. Probably the weirdest two fandoms to crossover was Les Mis and the Beka Cooper series because me and my cowriter just sort of stuck France in the middle of the Tortall universe and didn’t question it

have you ever received hate on a fic?

A couple times, but the only one I remember was when someone didn’t like me writing Enjolras as a trans man

do you write smut? if so what kind?

Hah nope I’ll read it but as of right now I’m aroace enough that I’m barely comfortable with writing kissing

One of my first fics was translated into Russian on ffn, Tricksters Running. (It’s sort of a weird character study on the Doctor from Doctor Who and Gabriel from Supernatural, and despite me writing it at the age of 14 it’s not terrible? younger me was better at poetic writing than current me)

what’s your all time favorite ship?

Uhhh this is hard. The ship that took up my brain for the longest time is Enjolras/Grantaire, and currently my favorite ship is Phoenix Wright/Edgeworth

what’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Well there’s a Lucifer au of fma that i wrote like 70k words of and hyped up to all my friends but never started posting and honestly at this point I don’t think I ever will.

For things that I started posting, A Home Beyond the What Ifs about Eponine/Cosette in Japan. I do like it, and I have a couple scenes of the next chapter written out, but I also have no motivation to actually work on it

what are your writing strengths?

Honestly? No clue, but not plot. Dialogue maybe?

what are your writing weaknesses?

Probably plot. I can sometimes come up with one, but most of my fics are just a series of loosely interconnected interactions it feels like

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Generally I don’t with a few exceptions.

If the pov character doesn’t understand what is being said, I’ll sometimes write that bit of dialogue out in whatever other language it is in to sort of add to the experience (since I assume most readers would not be able to understand it either, and those who do will be delighted)

If the language is Japanese and characters mostly speak English, I also have the dialogue be in Japanese sometimes since that is the language I actually know well enough to be reasonably confident in writing it. I would not write a full conversation in Japanese or anything, but if they’re switching between two languages then I’ll write it out in the languages it’s supposed to be in (for other languages I would usually just say “xxx” they said in y language, or italicize it if they switch between two languages enough).

Lastly, if the fic is about language then I might also do that because that’s sort of the whole point of the fic (which mostly overlaps with at least one of the above, but I have a fic in my drafts where 2 sentences don’t fit the above exceptions, so i figured i’d include this)

what was the first fandom you wrote for?

Technically it was a Les Mis/Beka Cooper crossover. The first fic I posted that I wrote all by myself was a Supernatural/Doctor Who crossover. Which honestly sums up my interests as a 13-14yo pretty well I feel

what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

...this is so hard

I’m going to say Truth, In the Eye of the Beholder (40k study on sharing a body from the pov of Ling Yao) because I genuinely had so much fun working on it, and I’m extremely proud of how it turned out. Definitely one if the fics I put more effort into than normal, and wrangling character arcs into place was hard, but I think it was worth the effort

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 215 fics

2. What is your total AO3 word count? 2,355,984

3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? 40ish? Supernatural, MCU and the Hobbit are the largest. I tend to pick up a fandom get intense and then peace out or in small fandoms do a one and done.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 1. How (thanks to Gabriel) Dean and Castiel (accidentally) raised each other (and Sam). Supernatural, Dean/Castiel. This story is just a juggernaut at this point. I have no explanation and cannot repeat the feat.

2. A Mountain I'm Willing to Die On Zootopia. Judy Hopps/Nick Wilde. I just had a lot of feelings after seeing the movie.

3. Jonathan to his David MCU Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes. I love recovery stories and I think I've written a dozen at his point.

5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? Yes! I try really hard to respond to them. I just like to say thank you, I appreciate the effort. I'm a reader as well as a writer and I know it's work (pleasant work! but still!) to leave a comment.

6. What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? Blood in the Inkwell Hobbit. Fili/Kili. Fili/Ori. Without a doubt. I had postpartum depression and I wrote this in my bedroom, sleep deprived and worn out and I think it shows.

7. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've ever written? On occasion, but nothing of note really. 8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? No. I've gotten critical or odd comments. I don't particularly like getting story structure critique in comments, but I don't consider them anything like hate. (Spelling and grammar corrections however are always welcome).

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I no longer do! As I've come to terms with my own grey ace nature, I realized I didn't have to write it if I didn't want to! And I generally don't!

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not plagiarized, but reposted without permission yes.

14. What's your favourite fic you've written? I don't know that I have all time favorite, but I really love When the Screws Fall Out. Breakfast Club. John Bender/Brian Johnson and Celebrate the Me Yet To Come Ghostbusters. Jillian Holtzman/Erin Gilbert. They're small fandom ones with just one movie of canon which leaves so much room to play. Do this to give yourself a hype up! It's good to look at your successes sometimes.
