The blast hit, and perhaps for the first time in years, Cyrax felt at peace with himself.  He detested his current form.  He detested how cold and mechanical he has become.  In spite of this, however, he managed to do some good, and kill the Cyber Initiative once and for all.  With Kuai Liang as the sole survivor of the Lin Kuei, the clan can begin again.  And on a more personal note, Cyrax had managed to fight along side a member of the clan one last time.  A real member of the clan, not one of those mechanical husks left in the wake of the Cyber Initiative.  This was a good death.  He would be content with this ending.

And then he wakes up in a cold, sterile room.  The first thing that comes to mind is the lack of feeling.  He looks down upon himself, and sees that he is once more trapped in this chassis he is forced to call a body.  And in the corner of his eye, he can see other beings trapped in similar shells.  Only one question lingers throughout his mind.

The Kahnum settled back into the firm embrace of her throne, head lightly tilting upward to allow her gaze to meet Frost’s own. Were anyone to walk in and see how Outworld’s ruler had the cryomancer sprawled across her lap cuddled in close, well--the rumor mill wouldn’t need any new material for who knew how long. Such was a risk that Kitana was willing to take, however. The closeness of the other was a cooling balm to harried thoughts, a comfort that may have been from an unexpected source... but that she wouldn’t give up for anything. Slender digits gently comb through glacier-hued hair, expression softening subtly.

“Are there times you wish you could take it back--to return to flesh?”

After what felt like an eternity, he managed to get the ice assassin back to his place. One of many places he owned in outworld, this one a small apartment like estate on the outskirts of Lei Chen. He owned the entire building and rented out the other flats to the nearby citizens while he occupied the only flat on the bottom floor. And just like Rain himself, the flat was decorated fit for Royalty.  

Rain chuckled, taking note of Frost avoidant gaze. He couldn’t help but wonder  she was nervous or maybe feeling a bit out of place. Whatever it was he knew she wasn’t outright threatening him...yet. His hand remained on her shoulder as his other hand slid around her waist, he pulled Frost back against him. Even through his leather uniform, he could feel her coolness through the fabric. Something that he grew to enjoy the more time they spent together. 

“Right now I’m just looking for your attention is all.”

This song right here... at first listen, it sounds upbeat, happy even. If you listen to the lyrics, though, it’s ominous as fuck especially if you consider the line ‘The only thing I need is time to change your mind.’ To me, this is Frost at her threatening best, trying to reconcile how she felt like the shadow that was left behind by the Lin Kuei while deciding if the person she’s with lives or dies--or becomes something more, like herself. She’s almost trying to convince the other to do it willingly because ‘tonight is forever’. Eerie shit, and I love it.

I feel like I can fall asleep as I’m writing this lol. But nah!! I’ve written replies when I’m tired, but I’ve never literally fallen asleep. In fact, iirc... I don’t think there has ever really been in a time in my life where I’ve accidentally just fallen asleep. Usually when I realize I’m getting very tired, I just... go to bed. So I may have quit working on a reply, saved it as a draft, then went to bed. But I’ve never literally fallen asleep while I was writing one.

He stood in the corner with arms crossed with a notebook tucked in between. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and wrinkled his nose. “Stand...sit, whatever you prefer.”

Eis snuck through the Lin Kuei temple silently. When she overhead Kitana talking about a group called the Lin Kuei and another cryomancer she knew she wanted to find them. It was difficult finding someone who could send her to Earthrealm without Kitana knowing but once she was through she went searching for the temple.

She was glad the cold didn't affect her much since she was still wearing a short sleeved shirt and loose pants as she stuck to the shadows and waited for a group of people to pass by before silently running down another hallway. She hid herself in a shadowy corner to wait and watch for anyone that fit the description that Kitana mentioned.
