ooc post abt some drama

So I’m pretty sure everyone has either interacted with @/demigod-jack-hearth or at least seen some of the posts that were made abt his Circe au. I’ve been trying to keep track of everyone’s thoughts on this (namely @unhinged-waterlilly and @if-chaos-was-a-boy who both have really helpful posts about it) and since I’m capable of producing coherent thoughts every once in a while, I thought I would share my thoughts on all of this.

So I should probably start with the AU, which really was the cause of a lot of this chaos. So first of all, making it in the first place was a very interesting choice. I’m not sure if Jack based it more off the odyssey or the epic musical, but either way it’s just a very weird decision. I understand people like to project on their character which makes sense, but Jack never mentioned being r@ped. (And I hope he never was) but it feels like if he was comfortable enough to make that part of an AU, he would’ve probably mentioned it one of the times he was trying to defend himself.

I understand that HE might’ve thought it was a fine change to make since he was comfortable with it, but I’ve seen a handful of people saying it made them uncomfortable. I’m aware it’s not his job to make sure everyone is happy, but the whole AU was really unnecessary knowing it could’ve made someone uncomfortable.

People even went to Jack saying they were v!ctims and they didn’t like his AU, and he basically told them to fuck off, without ANY condolences or apologies to the people for having to go through that. Those people shared their experiences and he just didn’t care.

And YES Odysseus is a fictional character, but his trauma is still basically being disrespected. I’ve seen a couple of people saying other are being dramatic since they are angry about him being invalidated, but it makes sense to me why they would be angry.

One anon (who was a sa victim of I remember right) came to Jack being rude, and SO many people have been rude to this anon, calling them either rude or dramatic, but honestly I think they were just really angry about what Jack had done (which is perfectly understandable) and they didn’t really think or bother to be polite when they sent that. They made a mistake too, but I don’t think jacks response was any better.

And once he realized that he was wrong (after having to be confronted by multiple people) he NEVER apologized. The words “I’m sorry” were not on a single one of his posts. He basically was just trying and failing to defend himself. This all could’ve been solved much quicker with a simple apology, but he’s more concerned with making sure everyone likes him and that he’s right so he doesn’t have to deal with any guilt.

And now he’s apparently disappeared and has been self harming and just struggling a lot. But you want to know what I find interesting? Jack never mentioned having a boyfriend, and now Fred has taken control of his account, responding to almost everyone and trying to defend Jack. I might be the only one, but I did NOT understand how to use tumblr at first, and it took me a while until I even learned how to reblog people and tag stuff. Even once I did learn how to tag people, I wasn’t tagging 20+ people on every post like Jack does. Another interesting thing is that the blog said something along the lines of “I didn’t mean to blah blah blah” and sounded like it was Jack defending himself, but then the message ended with -Freddy

If I was Fred, I would’ve made ONE post explaining why Jack disappeared, and not mentioning any of the sh or breakdowns. He could’ve made a post without mentioning all of that and disrespecting jacks privacy. Instead, he’s been responding to every person and mostly trying to defend Jack in every one of them. He also said he locked Jack out of his tumblr account, which you LITERALLY CANNOT DO unless he took away Jacks phone, which just seems really controlling, even if he did think it was best for Jack. So yes, this is me saying that I don’t think Fred is real. Especially since Jack is a ROLEPLAYER, and we are completely used to acting like different people.

Going back to the self-harm topic, I think that parts very weird as well. He’s made self harm jokes, and while I know perfectly well people can use humor as a coping mechanism, that’s just another really insensitive thing to do. It just doesn’t really make sense to me how you can make self harm jokes one week and then let your boyfriend tell a bunch of people on the internet you’ve been trying to hurt yourself.

Overall I think this spiraled into a lot more than it should’ve been, and this all wouldn’t have happened if he had just apologized, or just never have made that AU.

when one’s life is filled with blood and violence, it’s hard to imagine the normal things as existing at all. the sound of party chatter and the clink of bottles on glass rims was dull and worthless background noise, dylan decided. she’d come here looking for something a little more…captivating.

‘the unsub likes to maintain control. we have reason to believe they’ve picked out their victims several days in advance and keep track of them until all prerequisites are met.’ they thought they knew her so well. if that was the case, why hadn’t they caught her, yet? or him, for that matter? as smart as the police were, they didn’t seem to figure out that they were pursuing a duo. the girl’s eyes met her brother’s from across the way and she tilted her head once he gestured to the far left corner.

dale leaned back casually on the bar stool with his drink held negligently in his long, elegant fingers. he sat in a dark corner of the venue, up on the mezzanine where he had the perfect view of the crowd–especially his sister. thi particular venue had a reputation for attracting both predators and prey, and dangerous things lurked in the shadows. dale let his legs shift slightly wider apart as he took a sip of his drink.

he nodded at dylan before dissolving into a black mist. mere seconds later, he manifested behind their target’s back. he leaned against them slightly from behind, his lips feathering their ear for a moment and he asked them, “care for a drink?”

a few quick notes that i thought were important to mention:

>> despite his desperate need for recognition, edward still enjoys the benefits of anonymity, so while his name is quite well known to the public as the identity of the riddler, his face and voice are another thing entirely. he uses a variety of filters and modulators to alter his appearance and speech whenever addressing his v*ctims (or batman and the gcpd). >> suffers from a mild form of osteoarthritis. it isn’t debilitating, but there are times when he is physically incapacitated due to the severity of the symptoms. this is one of the reasons why he chose to incorporate a cane into the riddler’s ‘aesthetic’, since he often needs one as a mobility aid. >> given edward’s aversion to doctors (and the fact that he’s a wanted criminal), he often self-medicates. most of the time, it’s a concoction of over-the-counter painkillers and anti-inflammatory medication, but he does drink (only until he’s tipsy, never full-blown drunk) and smoke (both nicotine and otherwise) on occasion. however, there are times when he takes harder dr*gs. >> still builds and utilizes a variety of death traps and devices (which are an amalgamation of those found in the telltale game and 2022 movie, but far more saw inspired) in his schemes. however, the intended v*ctims are those he deems deserving of such cruel and unusual punishment, i.e., abusers, predators, corrupt officials and other unsavoury individuals (especially ones that have escaped the law in some way or another).

V!ctim 7- Alador Blight

(Inpired by Island Of Släughtered by @┊͙✧˖*°࿐ 𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐄-𝐑𝐘 )

Darius and Alador were in Eda’s place, Darius was still terrified that he would encounter the k!ller, Alador tried to comfort Darius.

However, Darius decided to tell Alador about the k!ller’s Identity and that alerted Alador, Alador had decided to head to the Blight manor to set a trap to k!ll the k!ller, Darius agreed, however, this was a big mistake.

Alador had headed to the Blight manor alone, not knowing the k!ller was already there.

Once Alador was there he headed to his workshop to work on the trap but, the k!ller had snuck behind him and covered his mouth and nose with a cloth, Alador had been knocked out and dragged away.

Alador soon woken up, his arms were tightly t!ed against the wall, Alador tried screaming for help but, the k!ller had c^t the side of his lips, Alador screamed and cried begging to be spared but, the k!ller just ignored him, he soon had c^t his neck to the point it bl3d out a lot.

Alador struggled to talk as he continued to bl3d out and he ended up ch0k!ng on his own bl00d and dy!ng from it.

Steve, Edric, Eberwolf and Amity had arrived and found Alador’s b0dy, Amity and Edric were heartbroken and they had to tell Darius the news, they soon found Katya, Hunter, Luz, King and Lilith and told them about Alador, Hunter couldn’t say anything since he had lost one of his dads and that just hurt.

Once they arrived back at Eda’s place, Amity, Edric and Hunter soon told Darius the dreaded news and Darius didn’t belive them, he ran all the way to the Blight manor and saw Alador.

Darius’s heart had shattered and he tried getting Alador down, he screamed for help as he cried, the k!ller had approached him and whispered something in his ear.

“i told you next time, you’re next..”

Then, the k!ller left as soon as Amity and Hunter arrived.

Amity created an abomination to grab Darius and pull him away from Alador.

Darius cried a lot that day…

and some of this is being taught at a young age that wanting to be loved was selfish and that being selfish was probably the biggest sin you can commit. and then being a csa v*ctim and having intrusive thoughts and having intrusive thoughts about violence and death from a very young age and expressing those things and being treated like i was disgusting and then being convinced for so long that my shame and internalization of everything was the only way to keep people safe. and being afraid that everyone will discover how foul i really am and hate me even more.

and so then i’m left being a fat dyke who does have violent thoughts and asocial behaviors and it all feels like a ball of yarn sat outside so long that you can’t even figure out how to start picking at it. and when you do start to loosen it up you can tell it’s started to rot on the inside.

honestly I'm sure it was painful for everyone but I'm so glad mcr broke up. the guys realized they couldn't keep making music together bc they were miserable doing it as a unit. instead of falling ctim to the sunk cost fallacy and watching the band implode around them, they chose to walk away. and that's brave, it's mature, and it's smart, even though it hurt. that choice is the reason the guys are back together, touring, playing old songs, being silly, grinning onstage. (I saw mcr in 2012 right before they broke up and it's so obvious looking back that they were just going through the motions.) I'm glad they chose to get off the ride when they needed to, instead of barreling over a cliff and landing in a twisted pile of wreckage and ruined friendships. instead they rose from their own ashes as something better, freer, more joyful.

the world is just getting worse and worse seemingly in my AREA (like literally just my tiny ass part of suburb) in the last 5 DAYS there’s been a SA on a woman (literally not even an HOUR after I walked the exact same path with my dog, I was there shortly after 10 PM and it happened shortly after 11), and two violent fights between strangers who just randomly got attacked by other men and a girl trying to help was pushed into the track bed MINUTES before the train was due to arrive and then there also was an attempted robbery with a kn1fe and im not even kidding or exaggerating I wish I fucking was but all of those things happened like 2-5 minutes fucking walking distance from my apartment I usually enjoyed taking my doggo on a bigger walk after dark especially now that it’s way too hot during daytime also my social anxiety is better when it’s dark and not that many people out anymore it was just so cozy and comfortable and I always stayed in my area which is well lit and where there’s a lot of apartment buildings around but as we see that means absolutely nothing (also the woman who got SA‘d was literally on the phone and she MUST have walked past my apt building bc its en route to where she was headed and around here she must’ve been approached by a man asking where the station is so she pointed him in the right direction and he then turned around and followed her instead like she was just a coincidental v!ctim) like I feel so unsafe I don’t dare to go out after 10 PM anymore ☺️ also all of those things were commited by men ☺️ as if it isn’t bad enough that a lot of women me included feel the need to dress and walk differently after a certain time of night ☺️ like i only go out in something baggy with a hood covering my hair wide or straight pants and combat boots and i try to walk like a dude my only benefit is i am 5ft7 and don’t look petite in baggy clothes it must be even scarier if you’re shorter in height
